- 2:33Speaker 5: How you doing, my friend, I'm doing great, Dave, I'm doing.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Fine, all right. So we're we all about flood recovery
- 2:39Speaker 2: in the state. We just had our big of animal
- 2:41Speaker 2: talk more about it on Friday here on our lot.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Greatest listeners in the world came through. Several trucks are
- 2:47Speaker 2: headed north. Some actually went up Friday, others have going
- 2:51Speaker 2: up today. We get events going on at WVRM WVRC
- 2:54Speaker 2: media stations today in Martinsburg and Morgantown and also in
- 2:58Speaker 2: Clarksburg coming to tomorrow. What do you guys doing.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Yeah, so we're doing a promo called Buckets for buck Cannon.
- 3:04Speaker 6: And so we've been doing this a long time. And
- 3:07Speaker 6: what you guys did, what other nonprofits have done last
- 3:10Speaker 6: week and this week, absolutely priceless, priceless, absolutely amazing. But
- 3:16Speaker 6: if you remember back twenty sixteen, man, this is this
- 3:18Speaker 6: is a long haul and these folks are just a
- 3:21Speaker 6: lot of these folks are still underwater, still got mud
- 3:23Speaker 6: between their toes, and so this is going to be
- 3:26Speaker 6: a long, long effort. So we've put together a promo
- 3:30Speaker 6: called Buckets for buck Cannon. We've partnered with Chick fil A,
- 3:33Speaker 6: We've partnered with greens Feed and Seed. Right now, you
- 3:36Speaker 6: can go to our website Union mission dot com or
- 3:39Speaker 6: we feed people dot com and you can click on
- 3:42Speaker 6: the donate now to Buckets for buckhann and you'll you'll
- 3:45Speaker 6: be taking to the landing page. You can choose the
- 3:47Speaker 6: first bucket option, which is twenty five dollars, have normal
- 3:52Speaker 6: clean supplies, paper towels, regular towels, bleach, all that kind
- 3:57Speaker 6: of stuff. Then you've got second option fifty dollars, which
- 4:00Speaker 6: has all of that cleanlies in the first option, plus brooms, mops, squeegees.
- 4:06Speaker 6: Then you have the third option, which is one hundred
- 4:08Speaker 6: dollars option, and that will include all of the cleaning supplies,
- 4:11Speaker 6: all the brooms, all the mops, all the squeeges, plus
- 4:13Speaker 6: tools such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrow, stuff like that.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Fans.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's all very important too, because right now,
- 4:20Speaker 2: I mean, I was talking to some folks over the
- 4:23Speaker 2: weekend about they what they need, and then Juno, you've
- 4:26Speaker 2: covered enough of these jacent it changes. You know, right,
- 4:29Speaker 2: twenty four hours they need this, forty eight hours they
- 4:32Speaker 2: need this exact and it changes. And this makes it
- 4:35Speaker 2: really simple because the people don't have to go out
- 4:37Speaker 2: and do the shopping themselves. They just they just go
- 4:39Speaker 2: to your website or social media. It's take it from there.
- 4:41Speaker 5: That's right.
- 4:42Speaker 6: So Wednesday we will have we will have displays in
- 4:47Speaker 6: the two Chick fil A's and one in South Ridge
- 4:49Speaker 6: one of South Charleston will have displays in greens Feed and.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Seed that the folks from Chick fil A, the folks from.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Greens Feed and Seed, they have been amazing to work
- 4:57Speaker 6: with and so display as we'll be put up in
- 5:00Speaker 6: their stores coming Wednesday of this week, and all somebody
- 5:03Speaker 6: who have to do is just scan it with their phone, okay,
- 5:05Speaker 6: and take care of it right then and there.
- 5:07Speaker 2: And again a big, big shout out to Chick fil
- 5:09Speaker 2: A and the folks at greens Feed and Seed for
- 5:12Speaker 2: hopeful partnering. But because you know, the bottom line is,
- 5:15Speaker 2: and we found out with our various things that we've
- 5:17Speaker 2: done with you and with other organizations, we as companies
- 5:21Speaker 2: can't do that and individuals if we don't get some
- 5:24Speaker 2: of these corporate sponsors involved, they're so important.
- 5:26Speaker 6: So important. Greens Feed there are doing such an amazing
- 5:31Speaker 6: job for us and all of these products wholesale. The
- 5:36Speaker 6: buying power that we will have with greens Feed and
- 5:40Speaker 6: Seed is going to be It is pretty awesome.
- 5:42Speaker 5: It's pretty key to this.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Talk to Jason Wuichreil again from Union Mission. But Dave

- 5:58Speaker 2: dot com If you had an opportunity to go up
- 5:59Speaker 2: there yet Jason and Buchannan and I had I even
- 6:02Speaker 2: been really busy, Yeah, I have not have not. You know,
- 6:05Speaker 2: I've known the mayor of Buchannan for a number of years,
- 6:07Speaker 2: Robbie Skinner. He and I have been very close friends.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I had him on the shows on Midday Wednesday, Thursday
- 6:12Speaker 2: and Friday. Today we're going to talk to the Weston mayor.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I have talked to residents people that I know in Mechannon,
- 6:20Speaker 2: they've never seen anything like this. Yeah, right, And and
- 6:23Speaker 2: I'm sure our listeners in Elkview and Clendennon in those
- 6:26Speaker 2: areas can can can feel what they're what they're going
- 6:32Speaker 2: through because they went through the same thing exactly.
- 6:34Speaker 6: We've got a couple of long talk term donors up
- 6:36Speaker 6: in Buchanan and we reached out to them last week,
- 6:40Speaker 6: got their voicemails and have not heard back from them.
- 6:43Speaker 6: And we are man, We're praying, We're gonna keep calling.
- 6:46Speaker 6: We're gonna, We're gonna I if we have to drive
- 6:49Speaker 6: up there. And these people have been Union Mission supporters
- 6:51Speaker 6: for years and years and years and years, and we
- 6:53Speaker 6: are heartbroken for these folks.
- 6:55Speaker 2: So it's I mean, the amount of devastation and anybody
- 6:59Speaker 2: that has driven to Bucannon. I've been there several times,
- 7:02Speaker 2: and you know, when you get off, I think it's
- 7:04Speaker 2: the Western Accit ninety nine, you know, to go into Bucannon.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I mean, normally you expect flooding to be in hollows
- 7:13Speaker 2: or hollers as we say in West Virginia. That's where
- 7:15Speaker 2: you expect it to be as soon as you get
- 7:17Speaker 2: off that exit, the walmart, the speedway, I mean, I mean,
- 7:21Speaker 2: the sheets, all those I mean are right there. And
- 7:24Speaker 2: I got I got a buddy mine that lives right
- 7:25Speaker 2: in downtown Buchanan, and we we've interviewed him a couple
- 7:29Speaker 2: of times on the show last week and he just says,
- 7:31Speaker 2: you know, I've never seen anything like this. He's been
- 7:33Speaker 2: up there about ten years and he said, I have
- 7:35Speaker 2: never We've had issues with drainage and whatever, We've never
- 7:38Speaker 2: seen anything like this. But when you like Brian Hughes says,
- 7:40Speaker 2: when you get seven inches of rain over parked over
- 7:45Speaker 2: one area in about an hour to two hours, greatest
- 7:49Speaker 2: flood control efforts in the world aren't going to do
- 7:52Speaker 2: anything exactly.
- 7:53Speaker 6: That's that is devastating, man, that is devastating. We'll kudos
- 7:58Speaker 6: to you guys for the work you guys did this
- 8:00Speaker 6: last week and what you'll do this week. And it's
- 8:03Speaker 6: pretty awesome watching people just jump into action once again.
- 8:08Speaker 2: On Friday on our lot here, Jason, and you've been
- 8:10Speaker 2: here in partnering with us enough to know how these
- 8:13Speaker 2: things work. I mean just seeing people pull up. You
- 8:16Speaker 2: guy shows up and he hands U a broom. Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 2: we appreciate it. Next guy pulls up in a van
- 8:23Speaker 2: completely loaded down with stuff that it took. I mean
- 8:27Speaker 2: borant wanted to the front desk is sending out emails
- 8:29Speaker 2: and text saying well, we need all hands on deck,
- 8:31Speaker 2: you know, out here because we can't handle the amount
- 8:33Speaker 2: of stuff. But that's what West Virginians do.
- 8:35Speaker 6: It's amazing. It's amazing. We love each other, we care
- 8:37Speaker 6: for each other. We always jump in and help each other.
- 8:40Speaker 6: And that's what it's all about.
- 8:41Speaker 7: Man.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, so let's go over this this thing again.
- 8:44Speaker 2: It's buckets for b Caannon, Chick fil A, Union, Mission, Greens,
- 8:48Speaker 2: Feed and Seed. Talk about it again.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Yep.
- 8:50Speaker 6: So we'll have displays set up in those stores, Greens,
- 8:53Speaker 6: Feed and Seed and both Chick fil A South Ridge
- 8:56Speaker 6: and South Charleston coming this Wednesday. All you'll have to
- 8:58Speaker 6: do is scan the QR code on those displays and
- 9:01Speaker 6: you'll be able to choose your three options twenty five
- 9:03Speaker 6: dollars option, fifty dollars or one hundred dollar option. If
- 9:06Speaker 6: you want to donate now, go to our website, we
- 9:09Speaker 6: feed people dot com. You can click the donate now button.
- 9:12Speaker 6: It'll take you to the landing page four buckets for Buckhannon,
- 9:15Speaker 6: and you can choose one of those three options right now.
- 9:18Speaker 2: All right, they got a text here for you that
- 9:20Speaker 2: has nothing to do with what we're talking about. You're
- 9:21Speaker 2: a popular guy, wow, Tex says, Why are the Union
- 9:24Speaker 2: Mission stores not open on Saturdays for those of us
- 9:27Speaker 2: that work during the week.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Well, because our our folks have a limited number of staff,
- 9:33Speaker 6: and as a nonprofit, it's getting harder and harder and
- 9:36Speaker 6: harder to take care of those staff.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's getting harder for profits to get people to work.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Yeah. So and they're asking for a day off and.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's understood, Yeah understood. Yeah, maybe we work on
- 9:47Speaker 2: that in the future, get him some staff members. We
- 9:50Speaker 2: can make that happen, all right. Again, I want to
- 9:52Speaker 2: make sure that people know to go to the.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Website yep, we feed people dot com all.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Right, and all the informations there. It's also available on
- 9:58Speaker 2: your social media as well. And Wednesday you'll have these
- 10:00Speaker 2: things set up at the two chick fil as you
- 10:02Speaker 2: mentioned and also at Greens Feet and Sea. That's correct,

- 14:17Speaker 2: All right. And keeping speaking of keeping you out of trouble,
- 14:20Speaker 2: you get somebody here with you. It's going to keep
- 14:21Speaker 2: you out of trouble. Your son's with you.
- 14:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I got my progeny here with me. Hayden. He's

- 14:49Speaker 2: I want to say that all right before we get
- 14:50Speaker 2: to talking about the book, Tony, I do want to
- 14:52Speaker 2: ask you about delicate Elliot Pritt now allegations, allegations of course,
- 14:57Speaker 2: he had an inappropriate relationship with the student. He's doing
- 15:00Speaker 2: in court this same afternoon here in Charleston about two o'clock.
- 15:03Speaker 14: Your take on well, I think wow, I mean this one,
- 15:08Speaker 14: this one kind of blew me away. And just the
- 15:11Speaker 14: reprehensible and the abhorrent allegations that we've that we've all
- 15:16Speaker 14: heard about. It's just something that, uh, we're not going
- 15:19Speaker 14: to tolerate at the West Virginia Republican Party.
- 15:21Speaker 7: And no one should, right.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Uh.
- 15:23Speaker 14: So we're going to do something that we've never done
- 15:25Speaker 14: before at the wv g OP. This will be the
- 15:28Speaker 14: first time in our party's history that we're going to
- 15:30Speaker 14: take a vote to disavow one of our nominees, and
- 15:34Speaker 14: we're going to do that this coming Saturday at our
- 15:36Speaker 14: meeting here in Charleston down at the Embassy Suites. And
- 15:40Speaker 14: we're doing it mostly to send a very clear message
- 15:43Speaker 14: that this is something these types of allegations are something
- 15:46Speaker 14: that we're not going to tolerate. We're not going to
- 15:48Speaker 14: put our name behind it, and we're also not going
- 15:51Speaker 14: to be silent about it. We're sending a strong message
- 15:53Speaker 14: that these times, types of things by our public officials
- 15:57Speaker 14: just just aren't going to be tolerated in our parties.
- 15:59Speaker 14: So we're going to do you a I composed a
- 16:02Speaker 14: letter to the state party chairman and the letter will
- 16:07Speaker 14: talk about the disavowal and what it entails.
- 16:09Speaker 11: It.
- 16:10Speaker 14: It's part of our bylaws, you know. We have to
- 16:12Speaker 14: we have to go by the by laws. We're doing
- 16:13Speaker 14: it the right way. But I'm required to collect at
- 16:16Speaker 14: least thirty five signatures in order to get this ball rolling.
- 16:20Speaker 14: And I sent out to notice that that I was
- 16:22Speaker 14: going to do this, and we had we have over
- 16:25Speaker 14: eighty signatures so far, people without hesitation signing on to this. So,
- 16:30Speaker 14: uh so, what I'll do is now that I've collected
- 16:32Speaker 14: the minimum signatures is, I'll take it to the meeting,
- 16:35Speaker 14: handed to the state chairman, and then we'll move to
- 16:37Speaker 14: official proceedings to disavow.
- 16:40Speaker 2: So what does that exactly mean, to disavow him? I mean,
- 16:42Speaker 2: what what? What? What will happen him?
- 16:45Speaker 14: So essentially, what what could happen is he will no
- 16:50Speaker 14: longer be recognized by the party as our nominee, as
- 16:54Speaker 14: a candidate, and most likely even as a member.
- 16:58Speaker 2: So that's just kicking him the party. I mean, if
- 17:00Speaker 2: this goes through.
- 17:01Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean the Secretary of State, he is the
- 17:04Speaker 14: person who registers voters. We don't as a party register voter.
- 17:08Speaker 14: So I can't speak on that end of it. But
- 17:11Speaker 14: as far as the West Virginia Republican Party incorporated our
- 17:14Speaker 14: wv GOP, yes, essentially that's what we're doing all right now.
- 17:18Speaker 2: He is doing court today at two o'clock, and of
- 17:21Speaker 2: course we know Speaker Handshaw and as has called for
- 17:25Speaker 2: his resignation. We don't know whether there's going to be
- 17:29Speaker 2: a special session or not. The governors willing to do that.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Apparently Speaker Hanshaw actually hand delivered a letter to the
- 17:34Speaker 2: Governor's office I think a lot of this and I
- 17:37Speaker 2: don't have any inside information here, Tony, but I think
- 17:39Speaker 2: a lot of this is going to depend on what
- 17:40Speaker 2: happens to two o'clock today in court, because I mean,
- 17:44Speaker 2: I don't, I don't. We don't know what's going to happen.
- 17:46Speaker 2: It's a federal court in Charleston. He makes an appearance
- 17:48Speaker 2: at two o'clock today, So we'll we'll all do, we'll,
- 17:51Speaker 2: we'll find out. I think I think we're going to
- 17:52Speaker 2: get a little bit more clarity from mister Pritt at
- 17:54Speaker 2: that time.
- 17:54Speaker 7: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 17:56Speaker 14: And at the party, we have not heard from from
- 17:59Speaker 14: mister Print. We have no communication with him at all.
- 18:01Speaker 14: We don't know what his intentions are.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Well, man, he gets that one phone call to day, you.
- 18:05Speaker 14: Know, well, yeah, and who knows who that's going to.
- 18:07Speaker 14: I don't even want to know who that's going to.
- 18:09Speaker 14: But anyway, uh so he he uh. He hasn't reached
- 18:13Speaker 14: out to us, So we don't know if he's going
- 18:14Speaker 14: to resign.
- 18:15Speaker 7: We don't know.
- 18:17Speaker 14: Really, it's kind of what's going to happen here because
- 18:20Speaker 14: I don't think today's a plea deal. I don't think
- 18:23Speaker 14: he's going to plead one way or another today, I
- 18:25Speaker 14: think it's a it's a different process today. Yeah, And
- 18:28Speaker 14: so then there's there's something in State Code about uh,
- 18:32Speaker 14: you know, filling the ballot and disqualification, and then you're
- 18:36Speaker 14: getting into ideas about well what what what qualifies as
- 18:40Speaker 14: as a disqualification. There's a lot of things here that
- 18:43Speaker 14: are that we're kind of taking one momentary.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I understand he's disqualified if he is a felon, but
- 18:51Speaker 2: because he hasn't been in court yet, he's not a felon.
- 18:53Speaker 2: He's accused of it, but he's not a.
- 18:55Speaker 14: Felon, and he may even be disqualified disqualified if he
- 18:59Speaker 14: pleads guilty, which would But then again, is he going
- 19:02Speaker 14: to plead before the August eleventh deadline? I don't know,
- 19:05Speaker 14: so really, I don't know. So in the meantime, since
- 19:07Speaker 14: we don't know those things, the party will do the disavowal.
- 19:10Speaker 14: We will be doing that this weekend, and then we
- 19:14Speaker 14: fully stand with what the leadership and the House Delegates
- 19:17Speaker 14: is doing to try to proceed with expulsion measures.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Well, speaking of the meeting this week, I mean, and
- 19:24Speaker 2: you may not have any inside information. I know you're
- 19:26Speaker 2: involved with State Republican Party, but you're not the you
- 19:29Speaker 2: know you're not the party chair, that's Josh Holstein. But
- 19:32Speaker 2: will will there be any discussions at all about changing
- 19:36Speaker 2: the rules where you know, independence can no longer vote
- 19:40Speaker 2: in the primary with like, do you have any knowledge
- 19:42Speaker 2: of anything being discussed like that?
- 19:44Speaker 14: Yeah, So at this meeting, we don't anticipate there to
- 19:47Speaker 14: be a vote on the primary. There will be discussions
- 19:53Speaker 14: about that issue. We may even set some rules about
- 19:57Speaker 14: that issue moving forward so that we have more st
- 20:00Speaker 14: ability because right now that issue is coming up every meeting.
- 20:03Speaker 14: So we're looking at setting some rules, very specific rules
- 20:07Speaker 14: on how that would work. So that will be discussed
- 20:10Speaker 14: at this coming meeting, and then there's a possibility that
- 20:13Speaker 14: this issue could be revisited next summer a year from now,
- 20:18Speaker 14: and then at that point we may have a regular
- 20:21Speaker 14: schedule of when you can and cannot bring this issue forward,
- 20:24Speaker 14: because right now it's happening every meeting, and it's creating
- 20:27Speaker 14: a little bit of friction among our members because so
- 20:30Speaker 14: many people on both sides of this issue have strong
- 20:32Speaker 14: feelings right and they and I quite frankly, I'll tell
- 20:38Speaker 14: you when I listen to people on both sides of
- 20:39Speaker 14: this issue. They all have very good reasons, and I
- 20:43Speaker 14: have myself. I've when I you know, I might go
- 20:46Speaker 14: to bed an open primary guy and wake up a
- 20:49Speaker 14: closed primary guy.
- 20:50Speaker 8: You know.
- 20:50Speaker 14: It's just like in your mind, you're like, man, Okay,
- 20:51Speaker 14: I'll see they have a good point here, but they
- 20:53Speaker 14: have a good point over here. It's a very difficult situation.
- 20:56Speaker 14: But this Saturday we will be discussing and we may
- 21:00Speaker 14: even be taking actual measures to create a structured system
- 21:03Speaker 14: around how to do this and to not have it
- 21:06Speaker 14: come up at every party, excuse me, every meeting.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Okay, guys, you're talking to Tony Hodge invites you to
- 21:11Speaker 2: join me every Friday morning, nine oh six for the
- 21:12Speaker 2: Adopt Me Please Pet of the Week from the Canal
- 21:14Speaker 2: Charleston Humane Association. It's brought to you by Almost Have
- 21:17Speaker 2: an Interiors family owned proudly serving the community for over
- 21:19Speaker 2: fifty years, specializing in custom blinds, shades, shutters, upholstery and
- 21:24Speaker 2: beautifully crafted sowned goods homes to hospitals, classrooms to commercial spaces.
- 21:28Speaker 2: They can do at all five sixteen D Street in
- 21:30Speaker 2: South Charleston. All right, let's get to the book.
- 21:32Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, So it's called the reversal. It's reclaiming Christian
- 21:36Speaker 14: holiness and politicized age. And I was with you on
- 21:39Speaker 14: your state wide show and didn't have an extra copy.
- 21:41Speaker 7: I brought a copy in to you.
- 21:43Speaker 14: Today as a gift, So so there you go.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Hope you read it.
- 21:46Speaker 14: But yeah, this is a just like the title says,
- 21:49Speaker 14: reclaiming Christian holiness and a politicized age.
- 21:52Speaker 7: And the reversal what that?
- 21:54Speaker 14: And I know we have a short interview today, so
- 21:55Speaker 14: I'm gonna go a lot quicker than I did the
- 21:56Speaker 14: last time we spoke. But the reversal, what that is
- 22:00Speaker 14: is there was a time in our culture where people
- 22:03Speaker 14: put their faith ahead of everything. Faith was at the
- 22:06Speaker 14: top of the list. Now I feel like that's been reversed.
- 22:09Speaker 14: And now a lot of times we're defined by our
- 22:11Speaker 14: politics first, and we organize ourselves by our politics. Even
- 22:15Speaker 14: I gave a quick example, and I'll give it a
- 22:17Speaker 14: lot quicker this time. But after the two thousand election,
- 22:22Speaker 14: the media started and I'm talking about national media now,
- 22:25Speaker 14: not you guys. I'm talking about New York Times. You
- 22:27Speaker 14: can do a word search on their website and look
- 22:29Speaker 14: this up. But they never used to refer to states
- 22:32Speaker 14: as red states and blue states. It was just states,
- 22:36Speaker 14: you know, but since the two thousand election and moving
- 22:38Speaker 14: on these twenty five plus years, now we define ourselves
- 22:43Speaker 14: as red states and blue states.
- 22:44Speaker 7: And we all do this.
- 22:46Speaker 14: You know, when we head south to vacation, are we
- 22:47Speaker 14: going to a red state or you know, Pennsylvania blue state.
- 22:50Speaker 14: You know, we say this all the time. This is
- 22:51Speaker 14: not this is this is a new thing, right. And
- 22:55Speaker 14: so what we've done is we've elevated politics to a
- 22:58Speaker 14: level so high. But now we define ourselves by our
- 23:01Speaker 14: politics rather than by our faith. And then there's another
- 23:04Speaker 14: word in the title. It's called Christian holiness. And a
- 23:07Speaker 14: lot of people don't even know what what holiness is.
- 23:11Speaker 14: And so John Wesley, he's a guy that I draw on,
- 23:14Speaker 14: you know, he's an eighteenth century Christian figure, and he
- 23:18Speaker 14: defined holiness as the renewal of the soul in the
- 23:21Speaker 14: image of God. And he said, it's the ongoing work
- 23:23Speaker 14: of the Holy Spirit conforming a believer to the character
- 23:26Speaker 14: of God in every area of life. So sin separates
- 23:29Speaker 14: us from God. We all have sin in our lives.
- 23:31Speaker 14: I do, my son Hayden beside me has sin. You know,
- 23:34Speaker 14: we all have that, and so that's why we need
- 23:38Speaker 14: a savior. We need Jesus Christ. He takes that and
- 23:41Speaker 14: wipes that queen so that we can come back to God.
- 23:43Speaker 14: And holiness is living more and more like Jesus Christ.
- 23:46Speaker 14: And Jesus lived a perfect life. We can't live a
- 23:48Speaker 14: perfect life, we can't do that, but we can work
- 23:51Speaker 14: toward holiness through Jesus. And that's why we need Jesus
- 23:54Speaker 14: as our savior. And so I base this book on
- 23:57Speaker 14: putting those faith issues and holiness of our character ahead
- 24:02Speaker 14: of our politics instead of putting our politics first right now.
- 24:06Speaker 14: And I'll even admit a lot of the reason why
- 24:08Speaker 14: I wrote this book is because I'm working out issues
- 24:11Speaker 14: in my own life Tony Hodge putting politics ahead of
- 24:15Speaker 14: other things. And I give examples in the book. I
- 24:17Speaker 14: don't want to give them all away because I want
- 24:18Speaker 14: people to get the book, but I give examples in
- 24:20Speaker 14: the book of how Tony Hodge has put politics ahead
- 24:23Speaker 14: of his faith and how I'm working to reverse that.
- 24:27Speaker 14: And I give examples of other people too, and there's
- 24:29Speaker 14: a lot of a lot of local examples. I don't
- 24:31Speaker 14: name names because I don't want to harm anybody, but
- 24:33Speaker 14: I give a lot of local examples, and then I
- 24:34Speaker 14: give a lot of historical examples, drawing on some of
- 24:38Speaker 14: our founders, drawing on William Wilberforce, John Quincy Adams, even
- 24:44Speaker 14: Abraham Lincoln.
- 24:45Speaker 2: How did you go about writing the book? I mean,
- 24:47Speaker 2: was it? Have you had this idea in your head,
- 24:49Speaker 2: you know, for a long time, as one of those
- 24:51Speaker 2: things where you just said, Okay, I'm going to write
- 24:53Speaker 2: a book. Yeah, or I mean talk about arriving at
- 24:56Speaker 2: the decision.
- 24:56Speaker 14: Yeah, It's been in my head a long time, and
- 24:58Speaker 14: I was talking with my family about it. As they
- 25:00Speaker 14: read the book, they recognize a lot of the things
- 25:02Speaker 14: I talk about in here.
- 25:04Speaker 7: They've heard it all. They've heard all that.
- 25:05Speaker 14: This isn't an idea that just came out of nowhere.
- 25:07Speaker 14: This is something that's been there and brewing, and I've
- 25:10Speaker 14: talked about for years and years and years, and you know,
- 25:13Speaker 14: one day I just got inspired, I believe, by the
- 25:15Speaker 14: Holy Spirit, to say, you know what, you need to
- 25:17Speaker 14: just sit down and write these ideas out. And so
- 25:20Speaker 14: that's what I did. And I sort of framed each
- 25:22Speaker 14: chapter on a personal story or something that happened in
- 25:27Speaker 14: my life, and so I would start out with that story,
- 25:29Speaker 14: and then I would build each idea off of telling
- 25:32Speaker 14: that story. And so in that way it was kind
- 25:34Speaker 14: of easy to write. But now the writing process itself,
- 25:37Speaker 14: I'm the type of guy. I have to sit down.
- 25:39Speaker 14: You have to leave me alone. I can't have the
- 25:41Speaker 14: TV on, I can't have text messages. I can differently,
- 25:44Speaker 14: I have to sit down. And now, once I get going,
- 25:48Speaker 14: I can get really creative and I can put out
- 25:49Speaker 14: some work, you know, pretty quick, once I get going. Now,
- 25:53Speaker 14: getting going, that's the hard part because some days you
- 25:56Speaker 14: feel like, I don't want to sit down and do this.
- 25:57Speaker 14: I don't want to do this, But then other days
- 25:59Speaker 14: you feel inspired to do it and you want to
- 26:00Speaker 14: sit down and do it. And so that's a little
- 26:02Speaker 14: bit of how the process worked for me.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Talk about the balance though between again we're talking with
- 26:06Speaker 2: Tony Hodge, the balance between living a Christian life and
- 26:11Speaker 2: being involved in politics, because I mean, politics is a
- 26:13Speaker 2: dirty business. I mean you know that. I mean you've
- 26:16Speaker 2: been in the trenches. You know it involves, especially with
- 26:19Speaker 2: this and I'm not necessarily picking on Republicans because it
- 26:22Speaker 2: could just easily have been Democrats, you know, twenty years ago.
- 26:25Speaker 2: The things that we saw in the primary election, for example,
- 26:29Speaker 2: I mean the people attacking people. And I'm not asking
- 26:32Speaker 2: you to pick a side, but I mean you can
- 26:35Speaker 2: understand where that could be a little bit of a
- 26:36Speaker 2: conflict here, you know, between trying to live a good,
- 26:40Speaker 2: as you say, a good Christian life and being involved
- 26:43Speaker 2: in all this stuff. How do you walk that line?
- 26:45Speaker 14: Yeah, that's a I'm glad you brought that point up.
- 26:48Speaker 14: You are correct that politics it's not always a dirty business,
- 26:53Speaker 14: but there's a lot of dirtiness and filth in it,
- 26:55Speaker 14: and some people wallow in it.
- 26:57Speaker 7: Wallow in the filth, I mean, and you know that's
- 26:59Speaker 7: one thing.
- 27:00Speaker 14: That's another thing that kind of inspired me to write,
- 27:03Speaker 14: not only my own failings, the way that the way
- 27:05Speaker 14: that I have done not I'm saying I've done dirty politics.
- 27:08Speaker 14: Most people know me, you know my You know that
- 27:12Speaker 14: I keep it. I try to keep it straight and clean.
- 27:15Speaker 14: But I have noticed in a lot of my political
- 27:20Speaker 14: circles that politicians they wear the Gospel like a costume.
- 27:24Speaker 14: It's like a Halloween costume. They put it on when
- 27:27Speaker 14: they go out here in public, and they make all
- 27:29Speaker 14: their public statements, and they put out their little Facebook
- 27:31Speaker 14: posts and you know, act like they're a big man
- 27:34Speaker 14: or woman of faith, and you know, even maybe talk
- 27:38Speaker 14: about going to church on Sunday or whatever, and that's fine,
- 27:41Speaker 14: and that stuff speaks to me and it grabs my attention.
- 27:43Speaker 14: And they do this stuff because it grabs attention. But
- 27:45Speaker 14: then I've been in rooms with people, and I talk
- 27:48Speaker 14: about this a lot in the book, being in rooms
- 27:50Speaker 14: with people where decisions are made behind the scenes, political decisions,
- 27:53Speaker 14: and you see how people operate, the way they talk
- 27:56Speaker 14: about people, the way they scheme. Now, look, I'm not
- 27:59Speaker 14: saying that strategies a part of politics. I am a
- 28:03Speaker 14: very good strategist.
- 28:05Speaker 7: I am. That's a gift I have.
- 28:07Speaker 14: I'm a good political strategist, and I have people around
- 28:10Speaker 14: me who are good political strategists. And I'm fine with
- 28:13Speaker 14: doing strategy. I mean, you have to do that. I
- 28:14Speaker 14: mean you know that, you know, we want a conservative
- 28:16Speaker 14: majority on Republicans, that's what we want.
- 28:19Speaker 7: But doing it the right way.
- 28:20Speaker 14: And you'll have politics that will put the Gospel on
- 28:22Speaker 14: as a costume in their public persona, and then they'll
- 28:25Speaker 14: do some of the most cruel, despicable things behind the scenes.
- 28:27Speaker 14: And the way they talk, the way they scheme and
- 28:31Speaker 14: the filth that they want to do behind the scenes.
- 28:33Speaker 14: It quite frankly makes me sick. And I'm around these
- 28:35Speaker 14: people all the time. I won't name names, but I'm
- 28:37Speaker 14: around them all the time. And they're local, they're national,
- 28:41Speaker 14: they're everywhere, and it's bothersome. You know, like I said,
- 28:46Speaker 14: you can't. You can do strategy and all that, but
- 28:49Speaker 14: it's not really Dave. It's not really about policy. It's
- 28:52Speaker 14: not about your political position.
- 28:55Speaker 7: This book.
- 28:56Speaker 14: I don't tell anyone in this book how to vote
- 28:58Speaker 14: or even how they should think about their politics. I
- 29:01Speaker 14: do admit that I come at it from a conservative perspective.
- 29:03Speaker 14: I admit that right in the beginning of the book.
- 29:05Speaker 14: But I don't tell people how they should vote. What
- 29:07Speaker 14: I am trying to teach is how you should operate
- 29:11Speaker 14: your character, what kind of character you should have as
- 29:14Speaker 14: you operate in the political realm, and we need to
- 29:18Speaker 14: elevate that.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Book is called The Reversal, Reclaiming Christian Holiness in a
- 29:23Speaker 2: Politicized Age.
- 29:24Speaker 14: How's the podcast going. It's going really good. So I
- 29:26Speaker 14: had an interesting podcast this last one. So West Virginia Watch.
- 29:31Speaker 14: It's another media outlet. They had put out a story
- 29:33Speaker 14: on the Washington Center having only one student enrolled in
- 29:37Speaker 14: their program. I support the Washington Center. It's a legislative
- 29:41Speaker 14: initiative that's put together to help teach more on our
- 29:47Speaker 14: founding and our American ideals.
- 29:49Speaker 7: So they did a report of only having one student.
- 29:51Speaker 14: Well, I had already had doctor Patrick Lee Miller scheduled
- 29:54Speaker 14: to come on my podcast. Yes, he's the head of
- 29:57Speaker 14: he's the director of the Center at WU. He was
- 29:59Speaker 14: hired in so he's trying to launch this brand new
- 30:02Speaker 14: program and I had already had him schedule before this
- 30:05Speaker 14: story ever came out, So I want to make that
- 30:06Speaker 14: very clear. And we were just trying to connect our
- 30:09Speaker 14: schedules because he was busy, you know, putting the program
- 30:11Speaker 14: together and things like that. And so when this story
- 30:14Speaker 14: came out about having one student, I said, let me
- 30:16Speaker 14: reach back out to him. Maybe we can connect now,
- 30:17Speaker 14: and it was a great time to connect. So then
- 30:19Speaker 14: he came on the podcast and he really pushed back
- 30:23Speaker 14: on that story, and he never refuted it because the
- 30:27Speaker 14: facts are the facts.
- 30:28Speaker 7: But he said he gave reasons.
- 30:30Speaker 14: Here's why, here's why we have one student now, and
- 30:32Speaker 14: why we're going to have more later, and he gave
- 30:34Speaker 14: all these really good details and talked about the bureaucracy
- 30:38Speaker 14: that he has to go through at WVU. And it
- 30:41Speaker 14: doesn't matter what side of the aisle you're on. There's
- 30:44Speaker 14: bureaucracy to go through and things you have to do
- 30:46Speaker 14: in order to get these new courses in the course catalog.
- 30:49Speaker 14: It's not just a matter of Okay, we're going to
- 30:51Speaker 14: do this course and all of a sudden it's in
- 30:52Speaker 14: the course catalog. All of these things have to be
- 30:54Speaker 14: voted on, they have a faculty sent it up there.
- 30:56Speaker 14: There's a lot of bureaucratic hurdles that have to happen
- 30:59Speaker 14: in order for these new new classes to be into
- 31:04Speaker 14: the course catalog. And so he explained all that to me,
- 31:06Speaker 14: and there was there was a lot of other reasons
- 31:09Speaker 14: why a brand new program takes a little while to
- 31:12Speaker 14: take off, and he even cited other schools that have
- 31:14Speaker 14: done this. There's other schools that have programs like this,
- 31:17Speaker 14: and you know, it takes a little bit of time,
- 31:18Speaker 14: and so he was able to come on and explain
- 31:20Speaker 14: that in more detail. So I encourage the listeners. It's
- 31:23Speaker 14: called a viewpoint with Tony Hodge. Look for the latest
- 31:25Speaker 14: episode with Doctor Patrick Lee Miller, and he did tell
- 31:29Speaker 14: me on the podcast you can listen to it.
- 31:31Speaker 7: He did say.
- 31:32Speaker 14: That what the West Virginia Watch reporter had had reached out,
- 31:37Speaker 14: but he was advised not not to reply, and so
- 31:40Speaker 14: he didn't reply. And so but if you want to
- 31:43Speaker 14: hear his side of it, go and listen to that
- 31:45Speaker 14: podcast and then and then you'll get both sides and
- 31:47Speaker 14: you can decide by yourself, make up your own mind.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I mean you can see, though, I mean, on the
- 31:51Speaker 2: initial reporting where it would look look kind of suspect.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I mean, you've got all this money going to you know,
- 31:57Speaker 2: this center with one student. Not saying it's not going
- 31:59Speaker 2: to grow, okay, but I'm saying, but you can see
- 32:02Speaker 2: from a imagery standpoint where that wouldn't necessarily look great.
- 32:06Speaker 7: Well, And I want to make something real clear.
- 32:08Speaker 14: So on my Twitter, it's Tony m Hodge on Twitter,
- 32:11Speaker 14: I had put out a tweet about my podcast with
- 32:15Speaker 14: doctor Miller, and I had said on there that he
- 32:20Speaker 14: pushes back against these reports about having one student. And
- 32:23Speaker 14: then I said, you know how how it's kind of
- 32:26Speaker 14: been made a mockery of the Washington Center at WU,
- 32:29Speaker 14: which I disagree with, but that that was mistaken by
- 32:33Speaker 14: a few people to mean that I was mocking the
- 32:35Speaker 14: West Virginia Watch story. I wasn't really mocking that, because
- 32:39Speaker 14: that was just that reporter was just reporting that, hey,
- 32:42Speaker 14: there's one student enrolled. The mockery was everyone who used
- 32:47Speaker 14: that report as their source material, and it went into
- 32:51Speaker 14: national media.
- 32:52Speaker 7: I mean you saw it.
- 32:53Speaker 14: I mean People Magazine was reporting on it, Newsweek, Fox
- 32:56Speaker 14: News did it, CNN did a thing on it, all
- 32:59Speaker 14: these now national places. But they were using that story
- 33:03Speaker 14: as their source material, as did I for my podcast
- 33:06Speaker 14: when I was talking to doctor Miller. So it's not
- 33:09Speaker 14: necessarily that that report was making a mockery.
- 33:13Speaker 7: If you go back and read, they were just reporting
- 33:15Speaker 7: that there was one student.
- 33:16Speaker 14: Well okay, that's fine, But that was used as a
- 33:19Speaker 14: source material to make a mockery of the Washington Center,
- 33:21Speaker 14: which I have in strongly support. I think every higher
- 33:24Speaker 14: education institution in America should have a program similar to
- 33:28Speaker 14: what they're putting together at the Washington Center WVU, and
- 33:30Speaker 14: I encourage the listeners to go and google the Washington
- 33:33Speaker 14: Center at WVU and look at the coursework. It's actually really, really,
- 33:36Speaker 14: really interesting. And doctor Miller and I got into a
- 33:39Speaker 14: lot of the classes and talked about what they'll cover
- 33:42Speaker 14: on the podcast, and you should go listen to it
- 33:43Speaker 14: and check out the website.
- 33:44Speaker 7: It's just really neat.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Now you're going to go en roll in the Washington
- 33:47Speaker 2: Center because you need something else to do.
- 33:48Speaker 7: In your eyes, I might do it.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I might do it.
- 33:50Speaker 7: It is a promised scholarship available. No, I'm just.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Kidding, Tony Hodge. Where can people get the book?
- 33:54Speaker 15: All right?
- 33:55Speaker 7: You can get the book on Amazon.
- 33:57Speaker 14: You can get the book on Barnes and Noble's should
- 34:00Speaker 14: be coming out to where you can get paper copies
- 34:03Speaker 14: in our local bookstores. There will even be in books
- 34:05Speaker 14: of Books a million very soon. They had an issue
- 34:08Speaker 14: with the with getting the cover artwork proper. Get it
- 34:12Speaker 14: lined up right. Anyway, it'll be in places like that.
- 34:14Speaker 14: But you can go online and order it in all
- 34:15Speaker 14: your major bookstore online places. It's the reversal by Tony M.
- 34:20Speaker 7: Hodge.
- 34:21Speaker 14: I was going to tell you got your name right right, Yes,
- 34:23Speaker 14: you've had to look down. I was like, let me
- 34:24Speaker 14: look down at my name is?
- 34:25Speaker 2: Yeah? All right, Tony. I appreciate you be here.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Man, absolutely, thanks for having me on.

- 35:13Speaker 17: You may think speeding a little isn't really speeding, but
- 35:16Speaker 17: even a few miles over the limit has consequences. First,
- 35:20Speaker 17: there's the fine. Your first offense could cost you one
- 35:23Speaker 17: hundred dollars plus court costs, and you'll pay a lot
- 35:26Speaker 17: more if it's your second or third offense. Eventually you

- 38:06Speaker 2: of thinking that you won't be beaten. Look at how
- 38:08Speaker 2: the GOP Congress is behaving. Look at the John Thune

- 38:14Speaker 2: Make no mistake. As soon as the Democrats take control,

- 39:00Speaker 8: How you doing, my friend, I'm doing great. I'll tell
- 39:05Speaker 8: you Sarah. You know, the boy's mother and Tara decided
- 39:11Speaker 8: they were going to go to North Carolina to see
- 39:13Speaker 8: his girlfriend.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Huh.
- 39:15Speaker 8: So I said, well, I'll show them. So I hopped
- 39:20Speaker 8: a bird and came out west. But also I've had
- 39:24Speaker 8: trouble finding somebody because I don't know my way around
- 39:29Speaker 8: to work on my Cadillac. And I found somebody down
- 39:32Speaker 8: Hunting and Beach and they are superstars. So that was
- 39:36Speaker 8: the reason I came out here.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Okay, because he always text you on Sunday just to
- 39:39Speaker 2: make sure that you're good to go, and you said, yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 2: but I'm in California. I was like, wait a minute,
- 39:43Speaker 2: You're not supposed to be in California. You're supposed to
- 39:45Speaker 2: be here. You slipped out of state on me.
- 39:47Speaker 8: I'll be I think i'll be home the next three weeks.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Okay, all right, So how are things in California?
- 39:53Speaker 8: They're great, And I'll tell you it's just starting to
- 39:56Speaker 8: get light here because we're three hours behind, and that
- 39:59Speaker 8: means the fold of life in my part in my condo.
- 40:02Speaker 8: You remember me telling you those inside the condo. If
- 40:06Speaker 8: you watch the video, they're just starting to come on.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Well, I was gonna say, you know, there're your three
- 40:11Speaker 2: hours behind. So you're looking at six forty seven right now.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So I appreciate you. You're you're an earlier like me. Man,
- 40:17Speaker 2: You're an early riser. No matter what right.
- 40:18Speaker 8: I was up. I was up in the Starbucks at
- 40:21Speaker 8: four fifteen. I went down there and got some call
- 40:25Speaker 8: Team Florid with the girls, and of course you did.
- 40:29Speaker 8: They didn't believe. They didn't believe I knew Jennifer Garner,
- 40:31Speaker 8: and I had to show them a picture.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean here's what they here here.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Let me tell you how you work this or your advantage.
- 40:40Speaker 2: They should not believe that Jennifer Garner knows you, because
- 40:44Speaker 2: you're a bigger deal with Jennifer Garner.
- 40:46Speaker 8: No, that's not true, but I'll pay something. I loved
- 40:51Speaker 8: her dad, and you know he passed, and she's got
- 40:53Speaker 8: great parents and great sisters and she comes from her
- 40:57Speaker 8: great family. And out of sorry about Billy, you know,
- 41:01Speaker 8: her father pass and he was a great you know,

- 41:18Speaker 8: I love hearing Tony hallge I he He and I
- 41:23Speaker 8: used to have breakfast together, or you know, lunch together

- 41:29Speaker 8: a while, and we're going to do it soon, so
- 41:31Speaker 8: better get it act together.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Well, he's an author, now, you know, he's like you.
- 41:37Speaker 2: He's doing everything now he's an author.
- 41:40Speaker 8: Well he'll probably sell some books though, Well, you sold
- 41:43Speaker 8: some books. I sold quite a few books. I was
- 41:46Speaker 8: very very fortunate. Hey, will you text me his info?
- 41:50Speaker 2: I will. Yeah, Anthony gave me the message and I
- 41:52Speaker 2: will as soon as I can't do two things in
- 41:54Speaker 2: once Andandy, so once I get off the air, I will.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I will definitely do that. Matter of fact, he's probably
- 41:59Speaker 2: listening right now, and so I sent him a texture
- 42:01Speaker 2: in the break and said, Hey, you need to connect
- 42:04Speaker 2: with Danny. And so I'm sure. I mean, he and
- 42:05Speaker 2: his son were here. Son's in the Air Force and

- 45:30Speaker 19: New Generations Ford of Hurrican Visit Generations.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Ford dot com. Danny Jones is with us right now. Danny,
- 45:37Speaker 2: I want to ask you about some polling that came
- 45:39Speaker 2: out recently. And some of this polling I'm gonna mention
- 45:41Speaker 2: was done by Fox News. All right, So if anybody
- 45:44Speaker 2: says I don't believe the polls whatever, okay, that you're right.
- 45:47Speaker 2: But some of the pollings was done by Fox News.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Kind of a composity.
- 45:50Speaker 8: Everybody's quoting them. You're right, You're right, right, right.
- 45:53Speaker 2: No, I was just going to tell you seventy percent
- 45:56Speaker 2: of all of all Americans are unhappy with the way
- 45:59Speaker 2: the president handling the economy. Is that problematic going into
- 46:02Speaker 2: the midterms.
- 46:04Speaker 8: Absolutely, And the problem with the president is and now
- 46:11Speaker 8: people have different views on this. So I accept your
- 46:15Speaker 8: views enough. I'd like for you to at least give me.
- 46:19Speaker 8: Let's try to listen to mine. He's not a good communicator.
- 46:24Speaker 8: I mean he should get on TV and very softly,
- 46:26Speaker 8: like Reagan used to do, or Ford or somebody like that,
- 46:30Speaker 8: explain to people the history of what's going on and
- 46:36Speaker 8: why we're doing this in Iran and these negotiations. The
- 46:44Speaker 8: people doing the negotiations on the Iran's behalf, they don't
- 46:48Speaker 8: speak for the Molas. There's no reason to be negotiating
- 46:52Speaker 8: with these people. They need to be eviscerated, and they
- 46:56Speaker 8: need to be It needs to go quickly because the
- 46:58Speaker 8: American people have demonstrated time after time after time they
- 47:03Speaker 8: have no patients for war.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Well, and especially when it comes from a president who
- 47:08Speaker 2: said point blank no new wars. And look, there's nobody
- 47:13Speaker 2: I don't you're going to find if there's very few
- 47:15Speaker 2: people that are going to think the idea of a
- 47:18Speaker 2: nuclear iron is a good idea. You know, Republican democrat,
- 47:21Speaker 2: I mean I think liberal conservative, I think most people
- 47:23Speaker 2: would agree with that. But he did say no new wars.
- 47:26Speaker 2: He did say that it was going to be, and
- 47:27Speaker 2: he and others said it was going to be a
- 47:29Speaker 2: matter of a couple of weeks, maybe a month. Here
- 47:30Speaker 2: we are several months later, and there's no sign that
- 47:32Speaker 2: we're getting anywhere in this thing, Danny.
- 47:35Speaker 8: And I'm out here paying well, I got to rent
- 47:39Speaker 8: on looks time. But I'm out here paying you know,
- 47:42Speaker 8: in the cattle. I pay almost six dollars a gallon
- 47:45Speaker 8: for gas, and I can afford it. But I understand it.
- 47:51Speaker 8: I actually support what he's doing. I just don't like
- 47:53Speaker 8: the way he's doing it.
- 47:55Speaker 2: What would you do differently, Danny? What would you do differently?
- 48:00Speaker 8: Remember the governor of Alabama named George Wallace. You got
- 48:05Speaker 8: to put the hay down where the ghosts can get it.
- 48:08Speaker 8: That's what you gotta. I mean, you really have to.
- 48:14Speaker 8: Like when they had that funeral for that, I told
- 48:17Speaker 8: one that had been that was a missed opportunity.
- 48:21Speaker 2: So you would have just you'd have went in while
- 48:23Speaker 2: the funeral was going on.
- 48:25Speaker 8: Absolutely, these people are enemies. They are out to kill us.
- 48:30Speaker 8: They killed their own people, most of the people, and
- 48:33Speaker 8: they ran like us. If they had their way, they'd
- 48:38Speaker 8: have reason Plavi back there, the Shaw Sung and Carter
- 48:44Speaker 8: is you know, partly there's so much blame in this now.
- 48:48Speaker 8: When Reagan was president, the whole eight years of Rock
- 48:53Speaker 8: and Iran were in a war. But we have we
- 48:56Speaker 8: have allowed this to happen. We have allowed them to
- 48:59Speaker 8: grow into a power and a terrorist state. We have
- 49:05Speaker 8: allowed this to happen. President after president has allowed this
- 49:09Speaker 8: to happen. Assume some battle. I just don't like the
- 49:12Speaker 8: way it's doing well.
- 49:13Speaker 2: And there would be those that you know, said in
- 49:15Speaker 2: the beginning that what they hope is is that the
- 49:17Speaker 2: Iranian people would rise up. That didn't happen. And quite frankly,
- 49:21Speaker 2: if I.
- 49:21Speaker 8: Did, David, they did. They killed twenty and forty thousand
- 49:25Speaker 8: of them.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Well that's what I was going to say. I mean,
- 49:27Speaker 2: if I am part of the Iranian population, I'm going
- 49:30Speaker 2: to go, Yeah, this ain't such a good idea.
- 49:32Speaker 8: Right, Hey, yeah, Can I comment on the charges against
- 49:36Speaker 8: the Pretzels.
- 49:37Speaker 2: You can? You can, and remember everybody's innosential proven guilty,
- 49:40Speaker 2: So go ahead.
- 49:41Speaker 8: Well there's a presumption of this, right exactly exactly. But
- 49:48Speaker 8: these are very serious charges.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Yes they are.
- 49:52Speaker 8: I just read about them, and it's multiple occasions with
- 49:59Speaker 8: a fifteen year old, and a fifteen year old does
- 50:02Speaker 8: not have the ability to give consent. And West Virginia's
- 50:08Speaker 8: pretty liberal on this. At sixteen, they did even though
- 50:11Speaker 8: he was he was a parental capacity because he was
- 50:16Speaker 8: a teacher. But at fifteen years old, it's right, and
- 50:25Speaker 8: these are federal charges. He's in prison, and the best
- 50:29Speaker 8: thing he could do for himself is to resign because
- 50:34Speaker 8: that would help take the attention off of him.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Right, And there are there are speculation that that is
- 50:42Speaker 2: going to happen, but as of now, it's not. And
- 50:43Speaker 2: everybody from Speaker Hanshaw, you know, to the governor. You
- 50:46Speaker 2: just heard Tony Hodge on the show saying that at
- 50:49Speaker 2: the state Republican Party meeting in Charleston this week, they
- 50:52Speaker 2: are going to do something that I don't know what
- 50:54Speaker 2: they've done in the past, and that is they're going
- 50:56Speaker 2: to present a letter signed by eighty five Republicans basically
- 50:59Speaker 2: disavow their selves from him.
- 51:02Speaker 8: Well, somebody needs to have a talk with him, and
- 51:08Speaker 8: I'm sure he confides in somebody, and but it's in
- 51:13Speaker 8: his interest and now I'd like to see him go,
- 51:17Speaker 8: but it's none of my I mean, really I don't
- 51:19Speaker 8: have any involved en up there anymore. But it's it's
- 51:23Speaker 8: it's in his interest, his interest to resign.
- 51:28Speaker 1: All right.
- 51:29Speaker 2: Well, before we let you go, Danny, we had a
- 51:31Speaker 2: question and says, is Danny voting in both states West
- 51:34Speaker 2: Virginia and California. Obviously you're not.
- 51:37Speaker 8: No, I'm not. I'm not a resident out here. I'm
- 51:39Speaker 8: a resident. Back on, Hey, another person you might contact
- 51:44Speaker 8: on that car if jp Auto can't do it. I
- 51:48Speaker 8: don't know if Hudson's still in business in Marmatt He
- 51:50Speaker 8: did cars for me, so but no, no, Mad's being
- 51:55Speaker 8: done by jp OTO.
- 51:57Speaker 2: All right, I got him the information. Hey, Danny, so,
- 52:00Speaker 2: are you gonna be back with me next week? Is
- 52:01Speaker 2: that right? Unless you decide to suddenly jet off again.
- 52:05Speaker 8: No, I'll be in the studio.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Okay, in the studio next week. Danny Jones appreciated as always,
- 52:10Speaker 2: you been here, my friend.
- 52:10Speaker 8: Thanks a lot, Thank you.

- 52:16Speaker 2: good man in West Virginia. He just on the plane
- 52:18Speaker 2: had nothing count four all right, speaking a good man,
- 52:22Speaker 2: one of them is a pretty good guy. That's Meadows.
