- 0:17Speaker 2: here's not Bill Handel. Shut up, Kono. KFI. A man's

- 0:30Speaker 2: drink some water, got a little tickle in the throat. Mama,
- 0:34Speaker 2: my throat hurts. KFI AM 640. Live everywhere on the
- 0:38Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app. Good Tuesday morning. Taquito Tuesday. Because I'm really
- 0:44Speaker 2: in the mood for taquitos right now. They're just.
- 0:47Speaker 3: But it's National Taco Day.
- 0:50Speaker 2: But everything's a taco.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Everything is a taco. Well, a taquito is even sort
- 0:54Speaker 3: of a taco.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a small taco. Ta-quito. It is. That's what
- 0:59Speaker 2: it is. It's a small taco.
- 1:00Speaker 3: It doesn't have as much stuff in.
- 1:03Speaker 2: It's all the same. Burrito's a taco. Taco's a taco.
- 1:06Speaker 2: A taquito's a taco. A tostada's an open taco. They're
- 1:09Speaker 2: all tacos, people.
- 1:10Speaker 3: And Mexican pizza's tacos.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And Mexican pizza, they're... It's not. Let me assure you,
- 1:17Speaker 2: they're not in Guanajuato right now going, Mama, it's Mexican.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's Mexican pizza night. Can we have some El Meatloaf? No,
- 1:29Speaker 2: it's there is no Mexican pizza anywhere in the world
- 1:32Speaker 2: other than here.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Meatloaf tacos. That doesn't sound good at all.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Although in Oaxaca, they do have some flatbread dishes that
- 1:41Speaker 2: are absolutely amazing, by the way. Look like a pizza.
- 1:44Speaker 2: um all righty it is the morning show on a
- 1:47Speaker 2: tuesday i kind of fired up today a lot to
- 1:49Speaker 2: get into of course uh hey i'm with the morning
- 1:54Speaker 2: crew handle will be back next week do you think
- 1:57Speaker 2: you know like those people that go to europe and
- 1:59Speaker 2: then come back with like an english accent after a
- 2:02Speaker 2: while is he gonna come back with like some sort
- 2:04Speaker 2: of african accent.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I don't know an african accent There's African accents. Well,
- 2:12Speaker 3: there's like 1,200 dialects in South Africa alone.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yes, which means there are going to be different accents
- 2:19Speaker 2: as well. I don't know which one. I mean, it's
- 2:21Speaker 2: not going to be South African. Diplomatic immunity.
- 2:26Speaker 3: That's because he's not going to South Africa.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Exactly. So it's not going to be that. I do
- 2:30Speaker 2: have friends in South Africa, and it's funny how people
- 2:34Speaker 2: will meet them and go, so are there like animals
- 2:37Speaker 2: roaming around the streets? It's different. in South Africa, Johannesburg
- 2:43Speaker 2: and stuff. It's not.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Cape town's Cape town reminds me of Laguna beach.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Oh, Cape town's gorgeous as well. I've never been, but, uh,
- 2:54Speaker 2: I have, uh, friends there have friends there. Amy King.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Good morning to you.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Oh, good morning.
- 3:02Speaker 2: You've actually been on a safari. I have not. It's on,
- 3:05Speaker 2: it's on my list.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You got to put it on your list. It, everybody goes,
- 3:08Speaker 3: it's life changing. And you go, oh, fine. It's going
- 3:10Speaker 3: to be a great trip. And you come back and
- 3:12Speaker 3: you go, it's life changing. It's fabulous.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I loved, I loved the Galapagos Islands and you weren't
- 3:20Speaker 2: crazy about them.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I liked the Galapagos. I got a little tired of
- 3:23Speaker 3: the iguanas.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Wow.
- 3:25Speaker 3: They were everywhere.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yeah. It's neat though. I know.
- 3:29Speaker 3: And they look like, they look like Godzilla. Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah. They're, they're, they're massive. They're beautiful. And all
- 3:37Speaker 2: the birds and the seals.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I did get to swim with turtles. Let's talk more
- 3:41Speaker 3: about you guys' great vacations. Oh, my God.
- 3:46Speaker 2: It's all prior to having a kid. So you're looking
- 3:48Speaker 2: at a decade before, you know, a decade in between.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Hey, I've been to Vegas.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Kono, you've been to Pacoima, right? No, I don't think so.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You just look like you've been to Pacoima.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Although, have you ever been on an IE safari? No,
- 4:05Speaker 3: what happens in an IE safari?
- 4:06Speaker 2: I've seen some wild animals in the IE. So there's a.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Little nistle called a muskoi. And you'll see ostriches and
- 4:13Speaker 3: you'll see roosters and chickens and donkeys. You might see
- 4:17Speaker 3: some snakes. You'll see lots of dogs without owners.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I've seen massive feral humans in Highland. Yes, that is also, yes.
- 4:28Speaker 2: In the, you know, the, what do they call those?
- 4:31Speaker 2: The gore points or whatever and stuff like that.
- 4:33Speaker 4: They're just... It's a great time. It's all over the place.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Bring your binoculars and your photographs.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Dude.
- 4:39Speaker 3: And don't touch.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Dude, we just came up with a great idea.
- 4:44Speaker 1: What?
- 4:44Speaker 2: The non-petting zoo of the IE. And it'll be a tour.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And you drive through and it's just like the wild
- 4:53Speaker 2: safari in San Diego. But it's what we've built here
- 4:59Speaker 2: in California. Safe haven for the crazy.
- 5:02Speaker 3: We'll get like Range Rovers and cut off the top.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Don't cut off anything. They're open air vehicles. They need
- 5:07Speaker 3: to be closed.
- 5:08Speaker 2: They're all open air.
- 5:09Speaker 3: And keep all body parts inside.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And then we can charge extra for the dart guns
- 5:15Speaker 2: and the paintball guns. Anne, are you in? Do you
- 5:17Speaker 2: want a part of this? No. You don't want, I
- 5:20Speaker 2: ain't on the ground floor.
- 5:21Speaker 3: No, I'm good.
- 5:23Speaker 2: See this, this is where you make the money, kid.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Okay, maybe.
- 5:31Speaker 2: She just saw dollar signs. We're all in. IE, man.
- 5:37Speaker 2: One love. Okay. Good morning, Kono. Good morning.
- 5:41Speaker 3: We got pockets.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Kono. Yes, Neil. I'm not putting this on you anymore. Okay.
- 5:47Speaker 2: You haven't said anything. You're leaving us. Tomorrow's your last day.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And I'm done with letting you in. You're leaving us.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Tomorrow is your last day. And you're flying the coop.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I'm so angry at him.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yeah. So your persona non grata here.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Handel just said, this is the best team we've ever had.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And what do you do? You bail.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It's not bailing.
- 6:11Speaker 2: You know what's funny?
- 6:11Speaker 3: Not sustainable.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Let's start putting some money on the table. Anne, what's
- 6:16Speaker 2: the over under on someone else coming in and. Let's
- 6:21Speaker 2: say starting at two weeks before Handel says the new
- 6:24Speaker 2: team is the best team he's ever had. No, I
- 6:26Speaker 2: don't think he will. I think he will.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Kono is so special.
- 6:29Speaker 2: He is special. I'm just really upset. We already talked
- 6:31Speaker 2: about how special the IE is.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Me and Ann got a connection.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I can't wait to go to that Walmart there right
- 6:37Speaker 2: at the 133 and the 210 in Highland and see
- 6:42Speaker 2: Kono with his cart.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Walking around, collecting things. If I'm down that bad, Neil,
- 6:48Speaker 4: I hope you pick me up.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm like, Kono?
- 6:50Speaker 3: Where's your family?
- 6:52Speaker 2: I'm all, why are you putting all those aluminum cans
- 6:55Speaker 2: in such a beautiful truck? Will, how are you, buddy?
- 7:02Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I'm good. But if you think the IE is wild,
- 7:05Speaker 2: I'm from the high desert. Oh, the high desert is
- 7:08Speaker 2: a special kind of people. Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia. Come on.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I love that area. But yeah, all of a sudden,
- 7:15Speaker 2: just driving out there, and then you have some weird
- 7:18Speaker 2: hut out in the middle of nowhere. Meth lab. Well,
- 7:22Speaker 2: I got to tell you, I do love that area.
- 7:25Speaker 2: And I take the back way to... to Big Bear
- 7:29Speaker 2: or something. Anne, how are you, my dear? I'm doing great.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You look fantastic. I do look good, right? I got
- 7:35Speaker 2: to tell you, yeah, in black, a little high collar,
- 7:37Speaker 2: you got your hair in a pony and a beautiful,
- 7:40Speaker 2: I can't make it out from here, but it's a
- 7:42Speaker 2: beautiful hat.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you look cute. Thanks. You look- I'm sporty. Sporty spice.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I like women dressed in that, like, what do you
- 7:50Speaker 2: call that? Like Target wear, where you're going to Target
- 7:53Speaker 2: real quick, you put your pony up, put a hat on,
- 7:56Speaker 2: or a grocery store. And it's just like this casual, cute,
- 8:00Speaker 2: I almost like that more than someone being dressed up. Well,
- 8:05Speaker 2: I appreciate that. You know, it's just like, oh, this
- 8:07Speaker 2: whole thing, it's just me. This is what I did
- 8:10Speaker 2: at 3.30 a.m. So this was very much that. Well,
- 8:13Speaker 2: you look great, dear. It works on you. All right.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Handle on the news. Lead story. Trump on Iran war.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Let him take out Los Angeles. Let him take out
- 8:24Speaker 2: San Diego. Oh, hell no, I say. We will talk
- 8:27Speaker 2: about this coming up in the eight o'clock hour. There's
- 8:30Speaker 2: more to it than I think the Trump side says.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And I might side differently than you'd think on this one. U.S.
- 8:41Speaker 2: President Donald Trump. That's U.S. president. Yeah, it does say
- 8:46Speaker 2: president there. Donald Trump seemingly discussed the idea of foreign
- 8:50Speaker 2: powers taking out California's most popular cities. The way Ann
- 8:55Speaker 2: described it this morning made me laugh so hard when
- 8:59Speaker 2: she said, and all of Nebraska applauded. And I got
- 9:04Speaker 2: to tell you, how would he feel if I said, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I don't know what would matter if Nebraska... We'd have
- 9:11Speaker 2: more problems if you took out Los Angeles than you
- 9:14Speaker 2: would take out Nebraska. But I'm not the president. We'll
- 9:19Speaker 2: get into that a little bit later.
- 9:22Speaker 3: OK, OK, he'll pay. The president says that he's going
- 9:26Speaker 3: to start paying for those pro-Trump ads that have been
- 9:30Speaker 3: all over the place in recent weeks. He's going to
- 9:33Speaker 3: pay for it with money raised by a super PAC.
- 9:36Speaker 3: After the administration drew intense pushback for using public funds
- 9:40Speaker 3: on the ads, you've seen them. A lot of them
- 9:42Speaker 3: black and white, emblazoned with the message at the end,
- 9:45Speaker 3: paid for by the U.S. government. The ads started popping
- 9:48Speaker 3: up on national cable and broadcast networks, including CBS, as
- 9:53Speaker 3: the November midterm elections approach the white house has defended
- 9:58Speaker 3: them calling them public service announcements.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yes and the gas taxes and the tax it's a
- 10:05Speaker 2: fee okay we can rename i i love how politicians
- 10:11Speaker 2: rename things and try and make them sound better uh
- 10:17Speaker 2: and you know how they got them to do it
- 10:19Speaker 2: they said Instead of this, listen up, instead of paid
- 10:24Speaker 2: for by the U.S. government, if you use the PAC,
- 10:26Speaker 2: it'll say paid for by Trump. He's like, let's do it.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Let's do it. Students are showing their disdain for the
- 10:36Speaker 2: gang rape allegations there at Cornell by vandalizing the Cornell building. Obviously,
- 10:44Speaker 2: the feeling there, the general consensus is the mishandling of
- 10:48Speaker 2: this case. So student activists vandalized a Cornell University administration
- 10:54Speaker 2: building overnight in response to the university's handling of the
- 10:58Speaker 2: great gang rape allegations.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I don't.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Know, not hot on crime for crime, but. There is
- 11:07Speaker 2: obviously a lot of passion surrounding this. And at the
- 11:10Speaker 2: center of it can be an incredibly horrific rape, gang rape.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So it's getting lots of high profile. And the message read,
- 11:22Speaker 2: smash the patriarchy. And at Cornell, rapists are protected. Protesters
- 11:28Speaker 2: are expelled.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 11:33Speaker 3: About to pay the ultimate price, a former Army officer
- 11:37Speaker 3: and psychiatrist who killed 13 people and injured 32 others
- 11:42Speaker 3: during a mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. Remember that
- 11:46Speaker 3: in 2009? He's going to be executed by a U.S.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Army firing squad.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Bye.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recommended President Trump approved death
- 11:56Speaker 3: by U.S. Army firing squad for convicted terrorist Nadel Hassan.
- 12:02Speaker 3: The last time a death sentence was carried out by
- 12:04Speaker 3: the U.S. military was in 1961. You know what.
- 12:09Speaker 2: We won't have the next day? Oh, yeah, it was botched.
- 12:15Speaker 2: That execution is going to be signed, sealed and delivered
- 12:19Speaker 2: and done. So efficiency wins, even though it looks more brutal,
- 12:25Speaker 2: it's more efficient and less damaging. Jim Baker. Two Ks.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You missed one.
- 12:34Speaker 2: What did I do? Oh, did I have it in
- 12:35Speaker 2: my hand?
- 12:35Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You can have that if you want.
- 12:38Speaker 4: No, no.
- 12:38Speaker 2: You can take the baker.
- 12:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 12:40Speaker 2: DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, purchased three immigrant detention
- 12:45Speaker 2: facilities in Adelanto for $ 950 million. And this is according
- 12:52Speaker 2: to the private prison corporation that sold them. So the
- 12:55Speaker 2: sale by the group, a GEO group, and that's Florida-based
- 12:59Speaker 2: government contractor group, follows an initial $ 1. 5 billion sale over
- 13:04Speaker 2: the summer of two other California detention facilities. Those were
- 13:10Speaker 2: in Tennessee. So in total, the federal government now has
- 13:15Speaker 2: spent nearly $ 3. 2 billion on detention facilities, purchases, facilities, and
- 13:21Speaker 2: the majority of them are here in California. So this
- 13:25Speaker 2: is all part of that one big beautiful bill act,
- 13:28Speaker 2: by the way.
- 13:31Speaker 3: So which direction does he go? Television evangelist Jim Baker
- 13:39Speaker 3: has died. His second wife, Lori, announced it in a statement.
- 13:45Speaker 3: The pair lived near Branson, Missouri, and that's where they
- 13:49Speaker 3: filmed their TV show, The Jim Baker Show, since it
- 13:51Speaker 3: launched in 2003. He suffered a stroke in 2020. Jim
- 13:54Speaker 3: Baker was 86. Of course, it was Jim and Tammy
- 13:59Speaker 3: Faye Baker that really made them into cultural icons.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Jesus loves you. Yeah. With the big eyelashes and stuff,
- 14:07Speaker 2: that pink hair or whatever.
- 14:11Speaker 3: It even inspired a movie called The Eyes of Tammy
- 14:15Speaker 3: Faye in September of 2021. Wasn't Jessica Chastain, didn't she
- 14:21Speaker 3: play Tammy Faye Baker?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Did she really? I do love me some Jessica Chastain. Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I didn't see the movie, but I saw Jessica Justine
- 14:31Speaker 3: accept an award for her role in it because apparently
- 14:33Speaker 3: she did an amazing job with it.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's quite the role. And, you know, they brought
- 14:39Speaker 2: in the same makeup team that they used for all
- 14:45Speaker 2: the monster movies. So it took seven hours just to
- 14:49Speaker 2: apply her eye makeup. And to sit in the chair
- 14:52Speaker 2: that long as an actor is just, God bless them.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Can you imagine poor Jim Baker passing away and then hearing, Hi, Jim.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I know this isn't what you want to hear, but
- 15:06Speaker 2: we're happy to have you. And just make yourself comfortable.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Here's some SPF 1000. Is that Jews? No, that's not Jews. Oh, sorry.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Trust me. You're not going to need to worry what
- 15:21Speaker 2: Jesus sounds like, bro. This is Kono getting... After their life.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Hey, Jim Baker. I didn't know who you were impersonating.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I was wondering. Your mom. Taco day. Every day is
- 15:34Speaker 2: taco day. Kono, how often do you have tacos?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Oh, at least once a week.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Like homemade tacos.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Oh, love me some tacos. Maybe I'll make tacos.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Hard shell or soft shell? Oh, mid shell? Mid? Mid.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Where it's not super soft, like a regular not cooked,
- 15:53Speaker 4: but then it's not super hard.
- 15:55Speaker 3: So you pan fry them? Yes. My mom is the best. Also, Neil,
- 15:59Speaker 3: you should apologize to my mom because that was rude earlier.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I love your mom.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 16:03Speaker 2: That's it.
- 16:03Speaker 3: And yes, they're very good. But if I go to
- 16:06Speaker 3: like fast food, it's got to be soft taco.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I hate hard tacos. Oh, I like them both. I
- 16:12Speaker 2: grew up on white people tacos and regular tacos.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 3: But if you go to a Mexican restaurant, just. Give
- 16:18Speaker 3: me whatever taco you have.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 3: I don't specify.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm all good. Tacos are yummy. I like them.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Clearly.
- 16:26Speaker 1: All right.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Is that a fat joke? Is that what that is?
- 16:30Speaker 3: You're looking slim.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Okay. God, I'm going to miss you. Kono's last day
- 16:35Speaker 2: is tomorrow, everybody. Maybe today. Back to Handle on the
- 16:39Speaker 2: News with Amy King and me, Neil Saavedra, your old buddy.
- 16:43Speaker 1: All right.
- 16:43Speaker 2: New York declares first U.S. measles disaster emergency since... 2025 surge,
- 16:49Speaker 2: you've got Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York City,
- 16:53Speaker 2: declaring this statewide disaster emergency yesterday with measles outbreak. We're
- 17:00Speaker 2: smarter than this, people. We're smarter than this. I don't
- 17:05Speaker 2: care what your political beliefs are. You know, there's science
- 17:10Speaker 2: in this. We've pretty much eradicated so many things through this.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I can't wait till Polio has a return. We've got
- 17:21Speaker 2: to remove that from the emotions of things and bring
- 17:24Speaker 2: it back to our head. Head is above the heart
- 17:28Speaker 2: for a reason.
- 17:30Speaker 3: A discovery of planetary proportions. Scientists say they've detected a
- 17:36Speaker 3: planet that may have formed from the burned remains of
- 17:40Speaker 3: its dead host star. So apparently the star, which would
- 17:45Speaker 3: have been like our sun, burned out. And after that,
- 17:48Speaker 3: a planet formed. It's likely a gas giant orbiting a
- 17:52Speaker 3: white dwarf called HS0209 plus 0832. It's 270 light years
- 18:00Speaker 3: away from Earth. Where do we find it? With the
- 18:02Speaker 3: help of the Hubble Space Telescope and other instruments.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Well, our sun's going to die out.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Yeah, in a few million years.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but I can't wait. Can you imagine being part
- 18:18Speaker 2: of that? And then people by then thinking that we're
- 18:20Speaker 2: the ones that are killing it. Like we're killing, we're
- 18:25Speaker 2: killing the sun.
- 18:25Speaker 3: It's our fault. It's climate change. Climate change is killing
- 18:28Speaker 3: the sun.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Well, I will tell you, everything, you know, is temporal. Everything.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Wall Street gearing up for Anthropix expected mega initial public offering.
- 18:40Speaker 2: That IPO is coming out. Kono. You putting anything towards AI?
- 18:45Speaker 2: I know you like... I will, but you have to wait.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You're going to wait after the IPO?
- 18:50Speaker 4: You have to wait the solid four to six months.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're not going to hit that initial blip
- 18:55Speaker 2: just to get a little folding money in your pocket?
- 18:59Speaker 3: No, because everyone's going to FOMO into it.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah, but... Skyrocket. But then they're going to sell it.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Like Coinbase was a big crypto and then it IPO'd it,
- 19:12Speaker 3: you know. 150, dropped to 50. Now it's like 300.
- 19:17Speaker 2: And that was our new Money in the IE with
- 19:22Speaker 2: Stephen Kono, Esquire. So, you know, this is one of
- 19:27Speaker 2: the AI industry's leading firms. And so a major test
- 19:32Speaker 2: on investors here. And we'll see how that ends up
- 19:35Speaker 2: panning out.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Did you just do my story again?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Two NFL officials have been suspended for unprofessional conduct.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Well, now you're doing. my story, so.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Oh, I know. Turnabout's fair play. Line Judge Jeff Seaman
- 19:54Speaker 3: was caught on camera cursing at Arizona's.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Wait, what's that name?
- 19:59Speaker 3: Yep.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:00Speaker 3: S-E-E-M-A-N. Cursing at Arizona's Trey McBride during the Cardinals loss
- 20:07Speaker 3: at the Giants Sunday. The union leader, J.C. Treader. Wasn't
- 20:11Speaker 3: very happy about it. This kind of behavior from an
- 20:13Speaker 3: official towards a player is unacceptable.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, nobody wants semen in their face like that. All right.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Trump plans another oil stockpile sell-off. The global reserves, he says,
- 20:29Speaker 2: are already scarily thin or they are scarily thin. So
- 20:32Speaker 2: the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve dropped by almost 800,000 barrels today.
- 20:39Speaker 2: last week, and Trump administration is moving forward with plans
- 20:43Speaker 2: to sell another 40 million barrels in the coming months.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Well, you had to know that she wasn't going to
- 20:49Speaker 3: be gone for long. Former White House press secretary Caroline
- 20:52Speaker 3: Leavitt is joining Fox News as an on-air contributor. That'll
- 20:57Speaker 3: start next month and comes, you know, weeks after she
- 21:01Speaker 3: stepped down from her role as the White House press secretary.
- 21:05Speaker 3: She'll provide political analysis and commentary. And I would imagine
- 21:09Speaker 3: it will give her that desired more time with her
- 21:11Speaker 3: children because she just had a kid.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Is she going to come riding in on a horse
- 21:15Speaker 2: in slow motion or anything?
- 21:17Speaker 3: Why would she do that?
- 21:18Speaker 2: Isn't she the one that?
- 21:20Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 21:20Speaker 2: This is the press secretary.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Never mind.
- 21:23Speaker 2: They all. It's like.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Oh, you're talking about Kristi Noem.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yes. The one.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I was just like I saw this slow motion horse thing. No,
- 21:33Speaker 2: Caroline Lovett, the blonde that is, uh, was up in
- 21:36Speaker 2: everybody's grill all the time. All right, Amy King, I
- 21:39Speaker 2: will do this story. Biologists, uh, they're concerned that humpback whale, uh,
- 21:45Speaker 2: was entangled in fishing gear near San Pedro. I got
- 21:48Speaker 2: to tell you, I was, uh, hosted by the lovely
- 21:51Speaker 2: aquarium of the Pacific yesterday, um, for senior day. And
- 21:56Speaker 2: that place is gorgeous in Long Beach. I mean, Long Beach,
- 21:59Speaker 2: I love Long Beach right out there. Um, But I
- 22:02Speaker 2: will tell you, it is a gem of a location.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Get out there. Beautiful aquarium. And we're lucky to have
- 22:10Speaker 2: it in our backyard there. So biologists are hoping to
- 22:13Speaker 2: save this humpback whale. Last seen entangled, this fishing net.
- 22:17Speaker 2: These are crazy. And some of those nets are so thick.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Have you ever seen someone cut through them? I've seen divers,
- 22:24Speaker 2: free divers, going down with their own breath. swimming down
- 22:30Speaker 2: and having to go down four, five, six times to
- 22:33Speaker 2: be able to cut these things off. So the whale
- 22:35Speaker 2: was first spotted near Palos Verdes on Thursday by passengers
- 22:39Speaker 2: and crew of this vessel there on a midday whale
- 22:44Speaker 2: watching tour. And wildlife experts responded to the tour's report,
- 22:50Speaker 2: set out on the boat. to try and remove the net.
- 22:52Speaker 2: But we're, you know, kind of hung up by the
- 22:55Speaker 2: choppy waters and weren't able to do that. So we
- 22:58Speaker 2: are hoping and praying for a good result there. A
- 23:03Speaker 2: quick drop.
- 23:05Speaker 3: That's one way to put it. A British Airways passenger
- 23:08Speaker 3: jet on its way from London to Chicago descended 28,000
- 23:12Speaker 3: feet in seven minutes. The Boeing 777 landed started descending
- 23:18Speaker 3: just 30 minutes after it took off. And it happened
- 23:23Speaker 3: over Ireland. So the plane turned around and then spent
- 23:26Speaker 3: four hours zigzagging around before landing back at Heathrow Airport.
- 23:32Speaker 3: So everybody got back okay. Everybody got off the plane okay.
- 23:37Speaker 3: They say it was a technical issue. Didn't elaborate on that.
- 23:40Speaker 3: And I was first wondering why they would have just
- 23:42Speaker 3: been flying around for four hours, but they probably couldn't
- 23:45Speaker 3: land because they had all that fuel. And unless they
- 23:49Speaker 3: dumped the fuel like that one Delta flight did over L.A.
- 23:52Speaker 3: and now had to, you know, pay millions of dollars
- 23:55Speaker 3: in a lawsuit settlement, maybe they were flying around so
- 23:59Speaker 3: they could burn off enough fuel before they landed. Speculation
- 24:04Speaker 3: on my part.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's fairly common, right?
- 24:10Speaker 3: To fly around for four hours?
- 24:10Speaker 2: To burn off the fuel or.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know how often that kind
- 24:14Speaker 3: of thing happens.
- 24:14Speaker 2: If you think you might be crashing because they're bombs,
- 24:17Speaker 2: they're flying bombs, which is why you don't want somebody
- 24:20Speaker 2: that's willing to take an ax to a pilot on them.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Do your paperwork next time. Dig a little deeper. Don't
- 24:28Speaker 2: just hire anyone like we do to run the boards
- 24:31Speaker 2: around here.
- 24:32Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:32Speaker 2: PepsiCo has recalled roughly... 122,000 cases of Gatorade sold across
- 24:39Speaker 2: the U.S. because the product contained undeclared dyes. And you
- 24:45Speaker 2: got to wonder, well, you know, sometimes they have different
- 24:51Speaker 2: recipes and the like for different areas. You know, people
- 24:53Speaker 2: all scamper around for like Mexican Coke and stuff like
- 24:59Speaker 2: that because they use real sugar instead of certain syrups
- 25:03Speaker 2: and things like that. Is it that or were they
- 25:07Speaker 2: creating something else that got in there or why would
- 25:12Speaker 2: there be these dyes? So PepsiCo has, PepsiCo, that's not
- 25:15Speaker 2: my PepsiCo, has recalled roughly 122,000 cases of Gatorade sold
- 25:21Speaker 2: in the U.S. because the product had those undeclared dyes,
- 25:24Speaker 2: the Food and Drug Administration said. Said in this notice,
- 25:27Speaker 2: it affects cases with 28-ounce bottles of Gatorade Lemon Lime,
- 25:33Speaker 2: Gatorade Lemon Lime Zero, which I have in my fridge
- 25:37Speaker 2: right now. So I'm going to have to check that out,
- 25:39Speaker 2: but I've gone through most of it. Gatorade Orange and
- 25:41Speaker 2: Gatorade Orange Zero were sold in 37 states. Let's see.
- 25:46Speaker 2: What do we have? They contain undeclared yellow number six
- 25:50Speaker 2: or yellow number five artificial dyes that affect the product's colors.
- 25:55Speaker 2: The recall on September 25th, it was initiated. On October 2nd,
- 26:02Speaker 2: the FDA updated the recall to a class two, which
- 26:06Speaker 2: means that the exposure to the product may cause temporary
- 26:09Speaker 2: or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
- 26:13Speaker 3: So I just Googled this to find out if, because
- 26:16Speaker 3: I was thinking, why would somebody be putting illegal dyes
- 26:20Speaker 3: in these drinks? They're not. The dyes are legal. But
- 26:24Speaker 3: they're not listed. They're not declared on the product label.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 2: So when anything is undeclared, that's a different type of recall.
- 26:33Speaker 2: That is like it may contain nuts or it may
- 26:37Speaker 2: contain something.
- 26:38Speaker 3: So if you have an allergy to yellow dye number five.
- 26:42Speaker 2: But once it moves up the class, someone may have
- 26:46Speaker 2: a reaction to it. It doesn't mean everybody will, but
- 26:48Speaker 2: someone may have a reaction to it.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 26:51Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Watch this last one, Amy King, and we'll be done
- 26:54Speaker 2: with the whole list.
- 26:55Speaker 3: As if flying isn't stressful enough. There are long lines
- 27:00Speaker 3: through traffic. There are frequent delays. There are lots of cancellations.
- 27:05Speaker 3: The two most stressful airports where this happens most, Dallas-Fort Worth-
- 27:11Speaker 3: And Chicago O'Hare. I'm not surprised about Chicago, but I
- 27:14Speaker 3: am a little surprised about Dallas because I found that
- 27:17Speaker 3: a very pleasant airport. Surging delay rates of 33.67% and 42.77% respectively.
- 27:29Speaker 3: If you want to go to a less stressful airport,
- 27:32Speaker 3: Salt Lake City International and San Jose International were ranked
- 27:35Speaker 3: the least stressful for their low flight disruption rates and
- 27:39Speaker 3: nearby locations.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 3: The Portland airport's pretty nice, too. They have a grand
- 27:43Speaker 3: piano and they play music when you're walking through the concourse.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Wow. Look at that.
- 27:48Speaker 3: It's very she-she.
- 27:48Speaker 2: And it smells like patchouli oil or?
- 27:51Speaker 3: No, but it smells really good. It is. Portland's airport's
- 27:54Speaker 3: really nice.
- 27:56Speaker 2: And Portland. Stay weird. OK, we'll be back with more.
- 28:01Speaker 2: The words of our president. Do they matter? Do they
- 28:04Speaker 2: not matter? We'll talk about that when we return. It's
- 28:07Speaker 2: Neil Saavedra in the morning crew. This is KFI AM 640.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Heard everywhere on that there iHeartRadio app.
- 28:13Speaker 1: You've been listening to The Bill Handel Show. Catch my
- 28:15Speaker 1: show Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and
