Dimension X - "Universe" (1950)
Dimension X presents “Universe,” episode 31, originally broadcast on NBC on November 26, 1950. Adapted by George Lefferts from Robert A. Heinlein’s 1941 short story, this sustaining-program broadcast features Mason Adams and Peter Capell.
Aboard a vast generation ship, descendants of the original travelers have lived so long within its enclosed decks that they believe it is the whole of existence. When one member of this isolated society begins questioning its inherited certainties, “Universe” becomes a tense, thought-provoking drama of tradition, confinement, and discovery.
