  Have you ever felt trapped by your own words or boxed in by
• 0:17
  circumstances you didn't see coming?

  Maybe you spoke too quickly and now you're dealing with the
• 0:23
  fallout. Or maybe life feels like a
• 0:25
  closed room with no clear exit, and you're wondering how you
• 0:28
  even got there. Those moments can feel heavy,
• 0:32
  like everything is pressing in at once.
• 0:34
  But Scripture reminds us that neither careless words nor
• 0:38
  physical walls have the final say.
• 0:41
  Proverbs chapter 10, verse 19 tells us when words are many,
• 0:45
  transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips
• 0:48
  is prudent. That's such an honest statement.
• 0:52
  The more we talk without thinking, the more likely we are
• 0:55
  to create messes we never intended.
• 0:57
  Words can lock us into conflict, regret, and misunderstanding,
• 1:01
  but wisdom knows when to pause. Restraint isn't weakness, it's
• 1:06
  strength. It protects your peace and keeps
• 1:08
  you from unnecessary battles. Then Psalm 18 lifts our eyes
• 1:12
  higher. David declares in Psalm chapter
• 1:15
  18, verse 29. By you I can run against a
• 1:18
  troop, and by my God, I can leap over a wall.
• 1:22
  That's not just poetic language, it's a declaration of
• 1:25
  confidence. David is saying that with God's
• 1:28
  strength, obstacles don't get the final word.
• 1:31
  Walls that look impossible suddenly become passable.
• 1:35
  Things that should stop you don't have to define you.
• 1:38
  And then we see this truth lived out in an unforgettable way.
• 1:41
  In Acts chapter 12. Peter is in prison, chained,
• 1:44
  guarded, and, humanly speaking, stuck.
• 1:47
  There are real walls, real chains, real danger.
• 1:51
  But Acts chapter 12 verse 7 tells us that an Angel of the
• 1:54
  Lord appears. Light fills the cell.
• 1:56
  Peter is woken up and the chains fall off his hands.
• 2:00
  No argument, no struggle, no delay.
• 2:03
  God steps in and what held Peter captive can no longer hold him
• 2:07
  at all. What's powerful is how these
• 2:09
  scriptures connect. God wants to guard us from
• 2:13
  unnecessary bondage caused by careless words, but He also
• 2:17
  wants us to know that even when we are trapped by circumstances
• 2:20
  beyond our control, He is still able to deliver.
• 2:24
  He gives wisdom to prevent harm, strength to overcome obstacles,
• 2:28
  and power to bring freedom where it feels impossible.
• 2:31
  Maybe your chains aren't physical.
• 2:34
  Maybe they look like fear, shame, habits, anxiety, or
• 2:37
  discouragement. Maybe your walls are emotional,
• 2:40
  relational, or spiritual. The same God who freed Peter is
• 2:43
  still at work today. He can quiet your mouth,
• 2:47
  strengthen your heart, and open doors you thought were sealed
• 2:50
  shut. You are not as stuck as you feel
• 2:53
  with God. Words can be redeemed, walls can
• 2:56
  be crossed, and chains can fall. Freedom doesn't come from
• 2:59
  striving harder. It comes from trusting deeper.

  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you that
• 3:05
  You are greater than every mistake I've made and every
• 3:08
  obstacle I face. Help me to use my words wisely
• 3:12
  and to pause before speaking in ways that cause harm.
• 3:16
  Give me strength to face the walls in my life with confidence
• 3:19
  in you. And just like you freed Peter, I
• 3:22
  ask you to break every chain that holds me back.
• 3:25
  I trust you for wisdom, strength and freedom as I walk forward
• 3:28
  with you in Jesus name, Amen. What if the way you pray changed

  Herod stretched out his hands to oppress some of the assembly.

  him in prison and delivered him to 4 squads of four soldiers

  each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people

  after the Passover. Peter therefore was kept in the

  prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for

  him. The same night when Herod was

  about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two
• 10:25
  soldiers bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept
• 10:29
  the prison and behold an Angel of the Lord stood by him and a
• 10:33
  light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and
• 10:36
  woke him up saying stand up quickly.
• 10:39
  His chains fell off his hands. The Angel said to him get
• 10:42
  dressed and put on your sandals. He did so.

  He said to him, put on your cloak and follow me and he went

  out and followed him. He didn't know that what was

  being done by the Angel was real but thought he saw a vision.

  When they were past the 1st and the second guard, they came to

  of the gate, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer.

  When she recognized Peter's voice, she didn't open the gate

  for joy, but ran in and reported that Peter was standing in front

  of the gate. They said to her, You are crazy,

  but she insisted that it was so. They said it is his Angel, But

  Peter continued knocking. When they had opened, they saw

  him and were amazed, but he, beckoning to them with his hand

  of the prison. He said, Tell these things to

  James and to the brothers. Then he departed and went to

  another place. Now as soon as it was day, there

  was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become

  of Peter. When Herod had sought for him

  and didn't find him, he examined the guards, then commanded that

  they should be put to death. He went down from Judea to

  Caesarea and stayed there. Now Herod was very angry with

  the people of Tyre and Sidon. They came with 1 accord to him,

  and having made Blastus, the King's personal aid, their

  friend, they asked for peace because their country depended

  on the King's country for food. On an appointed day Herod

  dressed himself in royal clothing, sat on the throne, and

  gave a speech to them. The people shouted the voice of
• 12:38
  a God and not of a man. Immediately an Angel of the Lord
• 12:41
  struck him, because he didn't give God the glory.
• 12:44
  Then he was eaten by worms and died.

  But the word of God grew and multiplied.

  Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem when they had
