- 0:01Speaker 1: On seventen wr it's more of the marks emosia.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, it's a hot day to day, but this is
- 0:10Speaker 2: nothing compared to what you're going to feel the rest
- 0:12Speaker 2: of the week. It's going to be dangerously hot for Wednesday, Thursday,
- 0:15Speaker 2: Friday into Saturday. It'll hit one hundred degrees real field
- 0:19Speaker 2: could hit one hundred and nine and something like that.
- 0:21Speaker 2: So it's just going to be a little better on
- 0:24Speaker 2: saturdayily ninety five, but thunder showers on Saturday. Hopefully this
- 0:28Speaker 2: forecast changes, which it can. It can change in the
- 0:31Speaker 2: next day or two. So a lot of Supreme Court
- 0:34Speaker 2: the rulings are happening left and right here. President Trump
- 0:38Speaker 2: want to end birthright citizenship. Supreme Court rejected that bid,
- 0:43Speaker 2: so the birthright citizenship stands, which doesn't make a lot
- 0:48Speaker 2: of sense to a lot of people. The other big
- 0:52Speaker 2: ruling is the Supreme Court ruled that states can ban
- 0:58Speaker 2: transgender athletes participating in women's sports. That's pretty common sense,
- 1:03Speaker 2: simple logical. Obviously, you don't want a big, hulking guy
- 1:07Speaker 2: playing against women. So the Supreme Court has ruled any
- 1:11Speaker 2: state can ban transgender athletes. President Trump was trying to
- 1:16Speaker 2: get the egen Carol find the Mountain. He had a
- 1:20Speaker 2: payer thrown out that was rejected, so he owes her
- 1:24Speaker 2: five million dollars. She will never live to collect the money.
- 1:29Speaker 2: You'll see. It was a strange case, the Egen Carroll case,
- 1:34Speaker 2: because it was based on what a lot of people
- 1:36Speaker 2: thought was just a ridiculous lie. She claimed that she
- 1:42Speaker 2: was in Bergdorf Goodman. He happened to be there. This
- 1:44Speaker 2: is the women's store, not the men's store. He followed
- 1:47Speaker 2: her into the dressing room that the attacked her and
- 1:49Speaker 2: assaulted her. And nobody's buying this. The story that she
- 1:52Speaker 2: told was exactly the same story as a Law and
- 1:56Speaker 2: Order episode, even Burgdorf Goodman. I mean, it just would
- 2:02Speaker 2: look to any normal person like she obviously saw this
- 2:05Speaker 2: Law and Order episode and stole the plot because it's
- 2:08Speaker 2: exactly the same. The billionaire rezillionaire tech guy who was
- 2:12Speaker 2: Dreid Hoffman financed her case. She got in front of
- 2:17Speaker 2: a New York jury that hates Donald Trump and a
- 2:20Speaker 2: New York judge that hates Donald Trump. That's how she
- 2:22Speaker 2: got the She couldn't win a criminal conviction, but civil
- 2:26Speaker 2: standards are much much lower. She won the civil case,
- 2:29Speaker 2: but again vicious Trump hating jury, and she was asking
- 2:33Speaker 2: for twenty four million dollars in judgment. The jury hated
- 2:38Speaker 2: Trump so much that they uped it to eighty eight
- 2:40Speaker 2: million dollars. Nobody has ever seen that ever happen, where
- 2:44Speaker 2: whatever they were asking for, the jury, you know, tripled
- 2:47Speaker 2: it quadrupled that. This is unheard of. So it was
- 2:49Speaker 2: a ridiculous case. It was more a case of hero
- 2:51Speaker 2: of the Supreme Court just didn't want to get involved
- 2:54Speaker 2: in it. They also ruled that Trump can fire the
- 2:57Speaker 2: heads of agencies and departments, which again simple common sense,
- 3:02Speaker 2: and of course the left going nuts, the MSNBC crowd
- 3:06Speaker 2: going nuts that now Trump will be a king, Now
- 3:09Speaker 2: he'll be You could always do this, you know. They
- 3:12Speaker 2: create these fantasies in their head that the Justice Department
- 3:16Speaker 2: is must remain independent. It's supposed to be totally independent. No,
- 3:20Speaker 2: it's not. That was never the case. The Fed must
- 3:23Speaker 2: be totally independent. That was never the case. Donald Trump
- 3:28Speaker 2: is the Justice Department, he's the chief law enforcement officer.
- 3:31Speaker 2: He can direct the Justice Department as we're supposed to do.
- 3:34Speaker 2: He can direct the State Department, that's what he's supposed
- 3:36Speaker 2: to do. He can direct the Secretary of Defense, he
- 3:40Speaker 2: can direct the Treasury Secretary. That's his job. These guys
- 3:44Speaker 2: all work for him. They're the cabinet. He can direct them,
- 3:47Speaker 2: including the Department of Justice. So Supreme Court upholding his
- 3:50Speaker 2: right to fire and hire in those agency heads. That's
- 3:57Speaker 2: basically most of the Supreme Court ruling this weekend. You know,
- 4:03Speaker 2: it's fourth of July. Although the weather's going to really
- 4:06Speaker 2: screw up people's plans, but in Washington.
- 4:08Speaker 1: D C.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It's even hotter. It'll be like one hundred and ten
- 4:12Speaker 2: degrees in DC. But in DC they're supposed to have
- 4:15Speaker 2: the America two fifty enormous, enormous celebrations, but I don't
- 4:19Speaker 2: know with this weather. A lot of people are going
- 4:21Speaker 2: to be standing outside in this weather that could affect things.
- 4:24Speaker 2: President Trump is warning that security is going to be very,
- 4:28Speaker 2: very very intense around these America two fifties celebrations, especially
- 4:33Speaker 2: around landmarks and monuments in Washington, d C. So that's
- 4:38Speaker 2: good to know. You're going to hear a lot of
- 4:41Speaker 2: flack about Trump sons, about Howard Lutnik, about Steve Witcoff.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You know, they're making all kinds of deals all over
- 4:51Speaker 2: the world, big deals, now in all these different countries,
- 4:57Speaker 2: and you're going to see them accused, the Trump's son
- 5:00Speaker 2: and Lutnik and others of profiting off these deals. They're
- 5:02Speaker 2: good deals for America, but at the same time these
- 5:06Speaker 2: guys could profit. For instance, they closed the deal for
- 5:09Speaker 2: an American company, Trump and Lutnick CAZ Resources to mine
- 5:13Speaker 2: one of the world's biggest reserves of tungsten. Records indicate
- 5:19Speaker 2: that firms tied to their sons financial will gain from
- 5:22Speaker 2: the contract. The New York Times reported it's another one,
- 5:27Speaker 2: Dominary Securities, which is actually has their offices in Trump Tower,
- 5:32Speaker 2: partly owned by Donald Trump Junior and Eric Trump, has
- 5:35Speaker 2: joined other investors to take a twenty percent stake in
- 5:39Speaker 2: a company related to the project. At the same time,
- 5:42Speaker 2: Lutnex company, Canter Fitzgerald has an investment controlled by his
- 5:47Speaker 2: sons Brandon and Kyle. You got those are like typical
- 5:51Speaker 2: modern day uppreast side names, Brandon and Kyle. Brandon and Kyle.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Lutnick helped one of the investors with raising the two
- 6:00Speaker 2: hundred and ten million, So they're all tangled up in
- 6:02Speaker 2: these deals. But it sounds bad. Even the New York
- 6:05Speaker 2: Post going after them for this says his Hunter Biden's
- 6:11Speaker 2: style sleeves is just as slimy when the Trump boys
- 6:15Speaker 2: do it. According to The New York Post, Democrats in
- 6:17Speaker 2: Congress are pressing for an investigation into these Trump's sweetheart deals. Now,
- 6:23Speaker 2: New York Post has a good point here. If they
- 6:26Speaker 2: win the House in the mid terms, they're definitely going
- 6:30Speaker 2: to have these hearings, and these Trump kids, these Lutnik kids,
- 6:34Speaker 2: are going to find themselves testifying around the clock under oath.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So the New York Posts saying it would behoove the
- 6:40Speaker 2: Trump administration and the whole nation if the president would
- 6:44Speaker 2: get ahead of this act transparently clean up the whole
- 6:48Speaker 2: mess before it swamps his final two years in office
- 6:52Speaker 2: and defines his legacy. Well, that's a good point. Now,
- 6:56Speaker 2: it's not the same as Hunter Biden. Hunter Biden was
- 6:58Speaker 2: a crack addict with no job, no career, nothing, and
- 7:05Speaker 2: then all of a sudden, his father becomes vice president.
- 7:07Speaker 2: He's on the board of oil companies, he's on the
- 7:09Speaker 2: board of an energy company, He's getting millions from China
- 7:14Speaker 2: for his hedge fund. This guy never had a job.
- 7:16Speaker 2: The difference here is Donald Trump Junior Eric Trump were
- 7:21Speaker 2: always doing this kind of stuff. They were massive businessmen
- 7:26Speaker 2: before Trump became president. Jared Kushner, for instance, was worth
- 7:29Speaker 2: a billion dollars by the time he was thirty. He
- 7:32Speaker 2: was a major real estate mogul in New York. He
- 7:36Speaker 2: was involved in all kinds of other businesses. The same
- 7:38Speaker 2: thing with Lutnick and his kids. Lutnick ran Canter Fitzgerald.
- 7:43Speaker 2: He's a major hedgehund. So these guys before Trump got present,
- 7:47Speaker 2: before all of this, were tangled up in multi multimillion
- 7:50Speaker 2: dollar deals making a fortune. Now that doesn't mean this
- 7:54Speaker 2: is not profiteering off Trump as president, but it's not
- 7:59Speaker 2: a dramatic She's not like Hunter Biden never had a
- 8:01Speaker 2: job and suddenly he's making millions on the board of
- 8:03Speaker 2: an oil company or an energy company. So it's just
- 8:07Speaker 2: more of the same. And Lisa, you know Don Junior,
- 8:10Speaker 2: Eric Trump, and I'm sure the Lutna kids, all these
- 8:14Speaker 2: guys are wit coffin. This is the way they always were.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You know, you throw them anywhere into any place, any situation,
- 8:19Speaker 2: and they're making money. They know how to make money
- 8:21Speaker 2: off anything and everything. They just do this all the time.
- 8:24Speaker 2: But the Post has a point. If Democrats take the
- 8:28Speaker 2: House in the midterms. Boy, are you going to see
- 8:30Speaker 2: hearings on this? Hey, it's a gridlock alerte today because
- 8:34Speaker 2: of the FIFA stuff. Forty second Street will be closed.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I think thirty fourth Street will be closed. I mean,
- 8:40Speaker 2: it's going to cause a traffic nightmare in most of Manhattan.
- 8:46Speaker 2: So that's today. Now here's the other thing you're going
- 8:50Speaker 2: to see a little bit of the same thing. Could
- 8:53Speaker 2: be Thursday Friday. There's the Taylor Swift Travis Kelcey wedding
- 8:58Speaker 2: at Madison Square Garden. It looks like it's going to
- 9:00Speaker 2: be a three day event. Could be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- 9:04Speaker 2: They're gonna have a rehearsal dinner this is in Madison
- 9:07Speaker 2: Square Garden for one hundred people. They're gonna have the wedding.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Then they're gonna have a party the next day for
- 9:12Speaker 2: like two thousand people. So you know, you're not supposed
- 9:16Speaker 2: to know about this, although they're leaking it out left
- 9:18Speaker 2: and right, but it's pretty obvious if you're around Madison
- 9:21Speaker 2: Square Garden. People are seeing vendors setting up for the event,
- 9:25Speaker 2: like a lighting company, there's a piping and draping business.
- 9:30Speaker 2: There's a transportation service company, They're all over the garden,
- 9:33Speaker 2: some of them with unmarked trucks. Staffers have been seen
- 9:37Speaker 2: unloading large large boxes, all wrapped up covered with tarps.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Big semi trailers are unloading stuff at Madison Square Garden.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Forklifts were seen moving massive trunks, big trunks filled with
- 9:53Speaker 2: unknown inventory. Trunks is usually lighting equipment, sound equipment, all
- 9:57Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. There was a massive box unloaded
- 10:03Speaker 2: that actually you could The Post took a picture and
- 10:06Speaker 2: zoomed in on the label. It said forty inch mirror
- 10:10Speaker 2: ball is being brought in. Other vendors very very covert,
- 10:16Speaker 2: trying to stay you know, secret about everything they're doing,
- 10:20Speaker 2: concealing business names, logos and phone numbers with tape. Also
- 10:25Speaker 2: spotted the being unloaded. Dozens of spotlights, chairs, concerts, staging,
- 10:31Speaker 2: no parking signs are going up Oliver Madison Square Garden.
- 10:36Speaker 2: So this is a This is going to be a
- 10:38Speaker 2: mess for three days. It's going to tie up a
- 10:41Speaker 2: lot of crazy traffic and make things crazy here in
- 10:45Speaker 2: New York. Let's see, so I mean I mentioned that.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Let me just check again. Gas prices down a little today.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Gases down to about seventy dollars, which is pretty much
- 10:57Speaker 2: pre Iran War was sixty eight sixty nine, the President
- 11:01Speaker 2: demanding that the gasoline retailers lower the prices immediately. When
- 11:06Speaker 2: the cost of oil a bare of oil goes down,
- 11:09Speaker 2: it takes a while for that to translate into lower
- 11:13Speaker 2: prices at the pumps, but the president yelling at them,
- 11:15Speaker 2: even Scott Besstt getting into the act, saying, we're watching you.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You better, you better get this done pretty fast, so
- 11:24Speaker 2: you'll probably see it start to happen pretty quick. National
- 11:28Speaker 2: average is about three eighty. It could it could really
- 11:32Speaker 2: go to two fifty. It's going to take a while.
- 11:34Speaker 2: They'll have to get there slowly, but they will get
- 11:37Speaker 2: there pretty soon. So hey, you know Sacks Fifth Avenue,
- 11:41Speaker 2: it was in bankruptcy, these big, big retailers, the big
- 11:45Speaker 2: you know Sacks. You know they merged with even Marcus
- 11:50Speaker 2: that didn't go so well. Then they went into bankruptcy.
- 11:52Speaker 2: They're coming out of bankruptcy and they decided to go
- 11:56Speaker 2: much higher, much higher end, like real luxury. They're getting
- 12:00Speaker 2: those lesser priced ones that they got Saxon fifth. They've
- 12:04Speaker 2: emerged from bankruptcy, but they got rid of a lot
- 12:06Speaker 2: of locations. They'll focus on just luxury retail. They closed
- 12:11Speaker 2: most of their off price locations, totally restructured. They think
- 12:15Speaker 2: they're all set and they'll do better. Hey, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 2: over at that crazy MSNBC or ms now or whatever
- 12:21Speaker 2: the hell they call it, they got rid of the
- 12:24Speaker 2: longest running anchor at the network. Believe it or not,
- 12:28Speaker 2: See if you can guess who it is now it's
- 12:30Speaker 2: a weekend anchor. It's Alex Wit, you know, with the
- 12:35Speaker 2: blonde hair. Very nice looking woman, very nice woman. I've
- 12:37Speaker 2: been on with her a million times. Really nice woman.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Alex Witt is the longest running host at MS NOW.
- 12:45Speaker 2: It's almost about thirty years that she's been there. Thirty
- 12:48Speaker 2: years now, why are they getting rid of Everybody loves
- 12:50Speaker 2: her and she's great, she's the weekend host. The reason
- 12:54Speaker 2: they're getting rid of her, they're not going to do
- 12:56Speaker 2: weekends alive much anymore. You know, they're not making any money.
- 13:01Speaker 2: It's the ratings are disastrous. The whole network. It's not
- 13:05Speaker 2: making a lot of money. So they're gonna go with,
- 13:09Speaker 2: you know, just run old programming on the weekends. They've
- 13:13Speaker 2: formed a partnership with something called Crooked Media. That's some
- 13:16Speaker 2: crazy progressive media company. So the weekend lineup. Crooked Media
- 13:22Speaker 2: will provide a lot of it. It's going to be podcasts,
- 13:24Speaker 2: taped programs outside the programs. In other words, they'll just
- 13:29Speaker 2: run podcasts and old stuff and save money. Now, a
- 13:34Speaker 2: lot of places do that. You know, a lot of
- 13:38Speaker 2: radio stations on the weekend they run infomercials and different
- 13:42Speaker 2: kinds of paid program It's not unusual, but it didn't
- 13:45Speaker 2: happen before at MSNBC. And this is obviously big, big,
- 13:50Speaker 2: big cost cutting going on there. Hey, you know that
- 13:54Speaker 2: crazy James Carville yelling and screaming at the Democrats. Stand
- 13:59Speaker 2: up to these You know, a lot of Democrats start
- 14:01Speaker 2: to realize they lost their party. They don't have a
- 14:04Speaker 2: Democratic Party anymore. Socialists are going to take it over,
- 14:07Speaker 2: which means that's it for the old Democrats. Hey, Bill
- 14:10Speaker 2: Maher lashing out at Democrats, pointing out, you know, I
- 14:15Speaker 2: didn't really know all this, but he's starting to point
- 14:17Speaker 2: out these Democrats refused to come on his show. He said,
- 14:21Speaker 2: He've been trying to get Mom Donnie, been trying to
- 14:23Speaker 2: get Kamala Harris, and they're afraid they won't come on.
- 14:27Speaker 2: AOC won't come on. And he's standing up to all
- 14:32Speaker 2: of this going. He's going to make it a regular
- 14:35Speaker 2: crusade to get them on the show, but they're afraid
- 14:38Speaker 2: they won't do it. Pretty interesting that they just don't
- 14:42Speaker 2: have the nerve, you know. And Bill Maher is not
- 14:44Speaker 2: going to be that hostile to him, but he's going
- 14:45Speaker 2: to ask real questions. Mom, Donnie doesn't want to answer
- 14:49Speaker 2: real questions. Kamala doesn't want to answer real questions, and
- 14:51Speaker 2: certainly not aoc. Hey, we'll take some calls next eight
- 14:55Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number,
- 14:59Speaker 2: eight hundred three two one zero seven to ten.
- 15:03Speaker 3: They'll mark Theilmonco live from the wor Life back studios.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike and
- 15:15Speaker 2: Saint James. Mike, how you doing?
- 15:17Speaker 4: Oh?
- 15:17Speaker 5: Mark, thank you. I have an idea to sort of
- 15:21Speaker 5: remove mam Dami from office in the city.
- 15:27Speaker 2: All right, let's hear it in November.
- 15:30Speaker 5: When we have the election. I saw on the end
- 15:33Speaker 5: of that the governor has the power to remove him
- 15:36Speaker 5: from office.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Yes, if he.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Could get into his campaign speeches a platform that he's
- 15:42Speaker 5: going to remove the mayor on the grounds that he
- 15:45Speaker 5: can bankrupt the city due to his policy.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Well you can, you can. A governor can remove the
- 15:49Speaker 2: mayor for thirty days. Then it goes to a hearing
- 15:52Speaker 2: U and he'd probably win. The mayor would probably win
- 15:54Speaker 2: the hearing because you'd have to have grounds to remove him.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Well, his policies, they're get to bankrupt the city.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't do it on policies though, you got
- 16:01Speaker 2: to prove some kind of malfeasance in office. But good
- 16:05Speaker 2: good thinking though. Let's go to Ted and paramus. Ted,
- 16:08Speaker 2: how you.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Doing, Yeah, let's see what.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Ras yelling today?
- 16:16Speaker 6: Harry, go ahead, Okay, we want to talk about the
- 16:21Speaker 6: difference in the dealings between the Ukraine.
- 16:25Speaker 4: On the part of the Bidens and very much the U,
- 16:29Speaker 4: the deep state operators like that sleazy Fiona Hill. Yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 4: in Ukraine with all these businesses.
- 16:38Speaker 2: But what's the problem.
- 16:40Speaker 6: Okay, in Ukraine with the business dealings of the Bidens
- 16:45Speaker 6: and the Democrats, they were peddling the thought of Ukraine
- 16:51Speaker 6: joining NATO, which is a very cool and dangerous thing
- 16:56Speaker 6: to do. There is no talk of Kazakhstan joining NATO,
- 17:01Speaker 6: and that's the real big difference.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Is it just me? Or are you guys following this?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Is it just me? All right, Well that's You've made
- 17:10Speaker 2: a great point. I don't know what it is, but
- 17:12Speaker 2: thanks for colling. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 17:16Speaker 2: how you doing Burning Mark?
- 17:18Speaker 7: Yes, Mike, I meant to ask you this on the
- 17:21Speaker 7: first day of summer when you were still playing records And.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Now, for those your kids out there, what the hell's
- 17:29Speaker 2: a record? It means music, that's right.
- 17:32Speaker 7: I really dated myself at least I didn't say seventy eight. So,
- 17:39Speaker 7: but when you were still on, you know, playing records
- 17:41Speaker 7: and was on the first day of summer, would they
- 17:43Speaker 7: come and tell you, oh, you have to play a
- 17:45Speaker 7: theme from a summer place, and you have to play
- 17:47Speaker 7: summer when it was I know, these seeing things were
- 17:49Speaker 7: a little bit.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I was in the DJ back in those days. If
- 17:53Speaker 2: for us, when it was the first day of summer,
- 17:55Speaker 2: what do we play? We'd play like, what's that great
- 17:57Speaker 2: song Summertime by War? Remember that?
- 18:00Speaker 8: Right?
- 18:01Speaker 7: Yeah? And summer Summer in the City by the Love
- 18:03Speaker 7: and Spoonful.
- 18:04Speaker 2: And uh, yeah, you play that.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Philly Stewart had a great version of Summertime that was
- 18:11Speaker 7: who did That's Billy Stewart? Oh all right, I'm just
- 18:16Speaker 7: what he's he was famous. You would remember you if
- 18:20Speaker 7: you heard it, you you call it. But so you
- 18:23Speaker 7: didn't have any uh you know, so summer wind and
- 18:26Speaker 7: things like that warrant on the docket for you, and
- 18:29Speaker 7: and you didn't you.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Know, to be honest, we weren't that lame. I mean,
- 18:33Speaker 2: we weren't that basically, Oh it's raining, play a rain song.
- 18:38Speaker 7: Basically said that was Yeah, that was more m for sure.
- 18:41Speaker 7: You know, that would be definitely like Jonathan Schwartz would
- 18:44Speaker 7: do that. You know, you play your theme from the
- 18:45Speaker 7: summer place and the summer wind and then summer in
- 18:48Speaker 7: the city.
- 18:49Speaker 2: So you don't really know Jonathan Schwart your first day
- 18:51Speaker 2: of summer, he would play winter songs. That's what he
- 18:53Speaker 2: would do.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Well.
- 18:54Speaker 2: True, you remember a Super Bowl Sunday, he devote the
- 18:58Speaker 2: whole show to baseball.
- 19:01Speaker 7: But he would get you would manage the mixed Sinatra
- 19:03Speaker 7: and Santana and you know Percy faced in the set.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Well, what the topic. Jonathan Schwartz a radio genius, one
- 19:11Speaker 2: of the greatest evers.
- 19:14Speaker 7: Spent many, many, many a day listen to him.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I listened to him all the time. I got to
- 19:18Speaker 2: fill in for him a lot, which is a great
- 19:20Speaker 2: honor and do a lot of shows with him. But
- 19:22Speaker 2: he was a genius. All right, thanks for calling. Let's
- 19:25Speaker 2: go to Joe and Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing, good.
- 19:29Speaker 9: Morning, Mark? I'm glad Mike brought the music up. Jonas
- 19:33Speaker 9: Schwartz excellent. Uh can I say, Alicia Keys, you are
- 19:38Speaker 9: no Joni Mitchell, You're not even a Carly Simon. I
- 19:41Speaker 9: don't know where they got that from.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Alicia Keys is very good, she's.
- 19:46Speaker 9: Good, but you know Joni Mitchell.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Come on, well even Joni Mitchell. Know Joni Mitchell. Have
- 19:50Speaker 2: you've seen her?
- 19:51Speaker 8: Lady?
- 19:51Speaker 9: No more? And Schwartz is one of the best in
- 19:56Speaker 9: Dan Ingram and you too.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Dan Ingram, Jonathan Schwartz two two guys. I copied more
- 20:01Speaker 2: than anybody idolized.
- 20:03Speaker 9: And he was I miss him.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Okay, all right, thanks for colling. Let's go to uh
- 20:08Speaker 2: John and Queen's John. How you doing.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Good morning?
- 20:12Speaker 2: Mark?
- 20:12Speaker 1: I just wanted to quick tell you a quick a
- 20:15Speaker 1: tribute maybe to the actor that passed away a few
- 20:18Speaker 1: weeks ago, James Handy. James James Handy, You not familiar
- 20:25Speaker 1: with him? He was in Aract Noophobia, He's in n
- 20:27Speaker 1: y T TD Blue is a commander.
- 20:29Speaker 6: He was an a verdict with Steve Blue.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Yeah, pardon, who do you play in NYPD Blue?
- 20:36Speaker 1: He was the commander. I don't think he wore a uniform.
- 20:38Speaker 2: No, I mean I've watched every episode. I still watch
- 20:41Speaker 2: NYPD Blue. I don't know who he is.
- 20:44Speaker 1: You do?
- 20:44Speaker 4: You do know him?
- 20:45Speaker 7: Like I said he was?
- 20:46Speaker 1: He was an a verdict with the Full Newman, that big,
- 20:48Speaker 1: big movie. Anyway, the reason why I'm calling is that
- 20:51Speaker 1: it's a good Fourth of July story. It was all
- 20:53Speaker 1: over the news that he was murdered brutally unfortunately in
- 20:56Speaker 1: California a few weeks ago. But the big thing is
- 20:59Speaker 1: that his tell me was really upset that no one
- 21:01Speaker 1: mentioned that he was a a combat better in Vietnam.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Was that on our site? Of course?
- 21:07Speaker 5: Oh?
- 21:07Speaker 2: Good, okay, good, Well, we want to pay tribute to
- 21:11Speaker 2: James Handy.
- 21:12Speaker 7: Great.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna look it up the series. Hey, when we
- 21:14Speaker 2: come back, Bill O'Reilly will be with us next. Let's
- 21:17Speaker 2: talk to him about coming up next on seven to
- 21:19Speaker 2: ten wor.
- 21:21Speaker 3: It's more Mark Simone on sevent ten WR.
- 21:28Speaker 7: Well.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Bill O'Reilly, of course, the number one TV anchor for decades.
- 21:31Speaker 3: The number one best selling non fiction author on Earth.
- 21:35Speaker 3: You can get all of his books. The TV show
- 21:37Speaker 3: Everything's at billoreilly dot com. Now you should also be
- 21:40Speaker 3: watching his YouTube channel. A lot of great stuff there,
- 21:43Speaker 3: and you should leave watching every week his new podcast,
- 21:46Speaker 3: Will Do It Live. Just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com.
- 21:50Speaker 3: There's a link to everything there, Bill O'Reilly. How you doing.
- 21:55Speaker 8: Working hard as usual?
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:59Speaker 8: Jaking it?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Yeah? That podcast, your latest Will Do It Live. Gene
- 22:04Speaker 2: Simmons is a guest. He's a brilliant guy, isn't he.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 8: It was very interesting to talk to him, particularly about
- 22:11Speaker 8: his mother, who survived the concentration camp in Germany, and
- 22:16Speaker 8: how he was shaped by her upbringing. And in my
- 22:21Speaker 8: new book, Confronting America, what has to change, parental authority
- 22:29Speaker 8: take center stage. We have so many bad parents in
- 22:33Speaker 8: this country. Parents who abandoned their children, neglect their children,
- 22:40Speaker 8: have crazy points of view, take drugs in front of
- 22:43Speaker 8: their children, and get drunk. That I thought Simmons really
- 22:49Speaker 8: hit it. He said, I never took drugs or drank
- 22:53Speaker 8: to excess because I didn't want to break my mother's heart.
- 22:57Speaker 8: I thought that was one of the most profound statements
- 23:00Speaker 8: I've ever heard from an interview subject of mine, and
- 23:04Speaker 8: he was cleaned the whole time that he was a
- 23:08Speaker 8: big rock star for Kiss. So it's insights like that
- 23:11Speaker 8: we try to give everybody every week. We got Glenn
- 23:15Speaker 8: Beck coming up on Thursday, and Beck, as you know,
- 23:18Speaker 8: is a very interesting guy to me because you never
- 23:23Speaker 8: know where he's going to come down. And we talk
- 23:26Speaker 8: about the communism thing, which I believe is a big threat.
- 23:31Speaker 8: Some people dissent from that, but I think that this
- 23:36Speaker 8: thing could catch fire, this communist thing.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Really yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 8: I mean when you have a population, and again it
- 23:47Speaker 8: goes back to parenting, where you expect to be given
- 23:51Speaker 8: the keys to the kingdom of life, and then you
- 23:55Speaker 8: don't get anybody given it to you. Then you want
- 24:00Speaker 8: where's mine? I mean, how come the government's not give
- 24:02Speaker 8: me a house? How come they have babysitting my kids?
- 24:07Speaker 8: You know?
- 24:08Speaker 4: How come I don't have.
- 24:08Speaker 8: Free health care? And that thing, I think can grow
- 24:15Speaker 8: and it always turns into detalitarian and some always and
- 24:22Speaker 8: I'm keeping my eye on it. I just think that
- 24:25Speaker 8: this came very quickly into New York City and other
- 24:28Speaker 8: places and it will wreck the social order that we have.
- 24:34Speaker 2: So all these voters doing this is the result of
- 24:37Speaker 2: bad parenting, bad teachers, bad professors for a couple of generations.
- 24:41Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, if you were a kid and your
- 24:45Speaker 8: parents give you everything and you don't have to work
- 24:49Speaker 8: for anything, I'm sure that you work when you were
- 24:52Speaker 8: a kid. I started working on I was ten years old.
- 24:55Speaker 8: Ten years old, I was cutting lawns, shoveling, snow, doing
- 24:59Speaker 8: whoever I could make a book. Okay, And now kids,
- 25:05Speaker 8: you never see them. There's snows, nobody's out there with
- 25:08Speaker 8: a shovel. All the migrants are doing the gardening work.
- 25:13Speaker 8: Nobody's cutting any lawns. And so when the kids in
- 25:17Speaker 8: my town, they all have Deba carts. They're just running
- 25:20Speaker 8: in getting whatever they want. They don't care how much
- 25:23Speaker 8: it costs. And then they get out in a real
- 25:26Speaker 8: world where daddy and mommy aren't there anymore, and they go, wait, wait, wait,
- 25:32Speaker 8: what do you mean I have to work hard? I
- 25:33Speaker 8: have to get up at seven in the morning. I'm
- 25:35Speaker 8: I don't want to do that. So give me, ma'am, dommy,
- 25:40Speaker 8: give me give me what I want. Give me a house,
- 25:43Speaker 8: all right, give me food. Food is next to New York,
- 25:47Speaker 8: by the way, you'll slap so many regulations on grocery stores.
- 25:53Speaker 8: The City Council of New York he trying to make
- 25:56Speaker 8: them possible for them to operate, so that the city
- 25:59Speaker 8: can the flood of food that comes into you and
- 26:04Speaker 8: have million people. This is called cooperating the essentials of life,
- 26:12Speaker 8: you know, housing, food, everything. Okay, they want to take
- 26:17Speaker 8: it over, and that's what communimy is.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Now you're the best selling historian. Have we ever gone
- 26:24Speaker 2: through any period like this ever in American history?
- 26:28Speaker 8: Yeah, a couple of times. And it's interesting you asked
- 26:31Speaker 8: that question because in the Revolutionary War, when we were
- 26:35Speaker 8: fighting the King of England, George, half the college didn't
- 26:40Speaker 8: want to didn't want to fight. They didn't want to
- 26:43Speaker 8: do it. Really, they wanted to stay under this toutalitarian
- 26:48Speaker 8: king told them what to do and how to do it,
- 26:50Speaker 8: and that was it. Half of half of the people
- 26:53Speaker 8: that lived in North America did not want to fight
- 26:58Speaker 8: the British. And then in the Civil War you add
- 27:02Speaker 8: the state seceeding. You know, we're not giving up some laty.
- 27:06Speaker 8: You don't look cat what you do. We don't want
- 27:08Speaker 8: to be Americans anymore, will be you know, South Americans
- 27:13Speaker 8: or whatever, they will be plantation Americans. And so it's
- 27:17Speaker 8: happened before, not to the extent it's happening now because
- 27:22Speaker 8: you have the media drivings enabling this. I mean, Caitlin
- 27:28Speaker 8: Collins on Seeing any Other Night said there's a difference
- 27:31Speaker 8: between communism and socialism. Hey lady, no, that's not okay.
- 27:38Speaker 8: And if you want to debate me all day long
- 27:40Speaker 8: and be happy to sit down on the Mark Simone
- 27:42Speaker 8: Show and debate you about that, there is no difference.
- 27:47Speaker 8: If you are going to limit people's potential, if you
- 27:49Speaker 8: are going to tell them what they are going to do,
- 27:52Speaker 8: how they are going to live, you can slap a
- 27:55Speaker 8: socialist word on that or a communist word. Trump addressing yes,
- 28:00Speaker 8: he said, ah, they call himself democratic socialists because it
- 28:03Speaker 8: sounds good. That's exactly right. These are communists. They want
- 28:08Speaker 8: to control the means of production. That's what Mandami wants,
- 28:14Speaker 8: and he will try everything to make New York City
- 28:19Speaker 8: into that kind of a place.
- 28:21Speaker 2: So if the media had not gone totally corrupt ten
- 28:24Speaker 2: years ago when Trump showed up, if they were honestly
- 28:26Speaker 2: covering all these crazy democrats, we wouldn't be going through
- 28:30Speaker 2: this now, would we?
- 28:32Speaker 8: No, and social media is to blame as well, but
- 28:38Speaker 8: the corporate media because they hated Trump so much because
- 28:43Speaker 8: of his demeanor primarily, but he is a conservative guy
- 28:47Speaker 8: in the sense that he puts forth, I don't want
- 28:50Speaker 8: anybody's sneaking across the border in our country. That's a
- 28:54Speaker 8: conservative position. Now, the liberals they let everybody in. Everybody
- 28:58Speaker 8: should come in. Okay. So, because the media hates Trump
- 29:03Speaker 8: so much, they let his opposition have a free ride,
- 29:10Speaker 8: and to this day that happens. And then they figured
- 29:14Speaker 8: out they can make money making and that happen, although
- 29:16Speaker 8: CNN is felled in that regard, but you know, the
- 29:20Speaker 8: liberal networks and the liberal news presentation, they make some money.
- 29:24Speaker 8: Sixty minutes makes money, not what it used to be,
- 29:29Speaker 8: but it makes money. And then on the other side,
- 29:32Speaker 8: Fox makes a lot of money by talking to conservative
- 29:36Speaker 8: Americans exclusively. Okay, that's what they do. And so the media,
- 29:44Speaker 8: which was once mandetty to find out the truth and
- 29:48Speaker 8: to tell the American people this is really what's happening,
- 29:53Speaker 8: does not do that anymore.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's been about ten years now. That's kind
- 29:59Speaker 2: of baked in now. Is the meat is never going
- 30:01Speaker 2: to be Yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 8: And the only saving grace to music cliche is that
- 30:08Speaker 8: operations like mine, which are totally independent I have prospered.
- 30:16Speaker 8: So I was just looking this morning at our balance
- 30:18Speaker 8: sheet about our revenue on YouTube. But it's amazing so
- 30:25Speaker 8: that people who understand that they're being conned on television
- 30:31Speaker 8: in particular, newspapers are gone, but they understand, you know,
- 30:38Speaker 8: David Muir is not telling me the truth. I'm not
- 30:41Speaker 8: getting the truth from Newsmax or whatever it is. I'm
- 30:44Speaker 8: just getting their point of view. They come over to
- 30:47Speaker 8: me and they bring advertising dollars, and they bring a
- 30:53Speaker 8: whole bunch of other things that make me successful. I've
- 30:56Speaker 8: been doing this almost ten years now as an independent
- 30:59Speaker 8: broken of the news, and that's the first time in
- 31:02Speaker 8: history that has ever happened.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Well, Bill O'Reilly great stuff. Now make sure you follow
- 31:08Speaker 2: his YouTube channel. There's a lot of good stuff there.
- 31:11Speaker 2: And take a look at the new podcast. We'll do
- 31:13Speaker 2: it live, watch the Gene Simmons, we'll watch all the episodes.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Great great guests. And when does the Glen Back come out?
- 31:20Speaker 2: That's Thursday.
- 31:22Speaker 8: Yeah, we'll drop it Thursday. Premium membership and it will
- 31:26Speaker 8: enhance your life if you check that out. If you're
- 31:28Speaker 8: a premium member or concious, remember to Bill O'Reilly dot com.
- 31:32Speaker 8: You get a lot of you know, free stuff. I
- 31:35Speaker 8: hate to be a communist, but you know, we'll give
- 31:39Speaker 8: you a free book and you know stuff like that.
- 31:42Speaker 8: And I'm sending you somemone the Galley of Confronting America
- 31:47Speaker 8: this week.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Oh that's the new book that's coming out.
- 31:50Speaker 8: Well, yes, you're going to have it. It'll be out
- 31:52Speaker 8: September fifteenth. So I'm going to send that to you
- 31:55Speaker 8: and a few others that im to be fair and
- 32:04Speaker 8: you'll get it. And it's a totally different book than
- 32:08Speaker 8: but all my books are kind of different, but this
- 32:10Speaker 8: one is based on my experience covering the news for
- 32:14Speaker 8: more than fifty years. I can't believe it.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, every book's a big best seller. Everybody go
- 32:19Speaker 2: to Bill O'Reilly dot com and get everything there. There's
- 32:21Speaker 2: a link to everything there billoreilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly,
- 32:25Speaker 2: thanks for being.
- 32:25Speaker 8: With us, Thanks having me, Mark appreciate it.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Happy for it, you too. Take care. Hey, don't forget
- 32:31Speaker 2: coming up at noon it's Buck Sexton, Klay Travis. They
- 32:34Speaker 2: got a great show every day at twelve noon and
- 32:36Speaker 2: you know Curtis is back. You can now hear curtisliwa.
- 32:39Speaker 2: He's here every weekday morning. It's Curtisliwa Larry Mente six
- 32:43Speaker 2: to ten right here on seven ten wor watch them.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Own show on seven ten wr Oh.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Let me check the latest weather. It'll be uh near
- 32:57Speaker 2: ninety today a day now. Tomorrow goes to ninety five.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Wednesdays tomorrow ninety five. The big problem days are Thursday
- 33:08Speaker 2: and Friday, where it'll be one hundred degrees and re'll
- 33:12Speaker 2: feel one hundred and nine. I mean that's an extreme
- 33:15Speaker 2: heat wave. So that's Thursday and Friday. Saturday it drops
- 33:22Speaker 2: to ninety five. That'll feel like summer relief. Now the
- 33:25Speaker 2: good news is this good news. But Saturday it looks
- 33:28Speaker 2: like a heavy thunderstorm in the afternoon. But once you
- 33:32Speaker 2: get that heavy thunderstorm that should cool things off. But
- 33:34Speaker 2: it's gonna be a brutal a few days this week.
- 33:39Speaker 2: It's gonna screw up a lot of outdoor plans. Hey.
- 33:42Speaker 2: The other thing is you got that FIFA World Cup
- 33:45Speaker 2: going on tonight, So all over that Manhattan thirty fourth
- 33:50Speaker 2: forty second, it's gonna be all kinds of street closings.
- 33:53Speaker 2: It will be absolute, the traffic nightmare. Don't even try
- 33:56Speaker 2: to drive anywhere around that area. I'll be back tomorrow
- 34:01Speaker 2: ten to noon. I hope you'll be here too. I'll
- 34:03Speaker 2: see you then on seven ten woor
