  very easy to. You're also turn that into a podcast and get your message out to a

  wider audience and also in Some ways protect yourself from

  So I ran through a few dry runs some practice runs

  So they were like taking down so I was trying to email back and forth to

  so I've got like Magic the Gathering kind of monster haunted

  stuff So like every Friday my little pony Halloween through this whole month

  That's gonna be a themed card pack opening you mean

  Yep up until Third the 30th-th and so I was just thinking about other

  trying to think of something else I could do and a came across this

  one stream where they were playing like a It was like a Dungeons and Dragons.

  instead of me being like a dungeon master or something like that?

  I could just be a guide and let people do like a choose-your-own adventure for

  for Halloween and Then I thought like okay.

  Ideas off each other and of course, you know chat GPT gets paid to like agree

  so I had to kind of Tell her like if I come up with a bad idea, please

  tell me you think it's a bad idea you know and

  and so. She's she's gotten better at it and So we came up

  with the idea of a murder mystery happening at a place called Blackthorn Manor

  And we came up with this whole backstory and this whole

  Like how The spine of the story is there We've got all of

  the graphics for all the the scenes and all the places and all the the NPCs

  We're we're finalizing the character sheets So what happens is if

  you sign up to play what's gonna happen is you're gonna get a message from me in

  discord right attached to that message is going to be a character sheet with
• 15:32
  your character's name their picture and
• 15:36
  Kind of their backstory, but the backstory is gonna be like how you're related

  to The main character who is Edgar Blackthorn and he's

  gonna be the murder victim, right a

  And so it just tells you like how you're related to that person and what you're

  doing there and then from there

  The adventure starts so and the butler did it right

  But the the main thing is this it's the rules are

  So so the main rule is

  Everybody's gonna have a motive Whether it's a character somebody who's a player

  or somebody who's an NPC

  Everybody's gonna have a reason to be involved in this, right?

  and so the rules are gonna be that

  You can lie and this means NPCs to NBC's can be lying to you Your fellow

  players could be lying to you or they could be telling you the truth.

  You don't know, right? and so as a group you have to go around the map pick out

  where you where you want to go where you want to investigate and You ask the

  NPCs questions you look for clues

  You may find something you may find a clue that's worth something.

  You may find a red herring.

  You don't know, right and

  You have to decide and it should take about two hours.

  That's what I'm thinking like the game should be no more than two hours and at

  the end The group has to come to a consensus on who they think did it.

  and so it's gonna be the whole thing of playing off each other trying to figure

  local town commission or their city hall.

  You know, they don't cover that stuff in the, even in the regional news, you

  know, you don't see that on channel 10 at night, unless, you know, somebody was

  caught in a scandal or killed somebody or something, but just like local votes

  on opening a new park or closing a new park and stuff like that in your town,

  people are interested in that, but you don't find it in the news, but you can
• 1:24:23
  cover that in a local podcast, right?

  So, um, I have two episodes up on this Northwest Broward podcast and

  I'm just covering what the local city commissions are doing, which is very easy

  to just ask AI, Hey, scour the news and find all the news from these five local
• 1:24:41
  cities here in my area for the past week, anything that happened in these five
• 1:24:45
  cities, whether it's, um, community news or local city government news.

  Anyway, the point is these episodes are only about five minutes long.

  I was talking to my son, the, um, 22 year old last night and I was telling him,

  Hey, I started this podcast for fun, just giving it a shot.

  And he goes, how long is it?

  I said, Oh, the episodes are like five minutes.

  And he goes, that's not a podcast.

  I said, yes, it is. It's a podcast.

  He goes, I thought a podcast is like talking for an hour or two hours or

  something. So that's the perception because some of the modern popular

  podcasts, like Adam Curry's podcast or Joe Rogan's podcast or Peter Bette,

  David, or any of these other podcasters who are out there, they do these two and
• 1:25:34
  three hour podcasts a couple times a week.

  And it's becoming, it's becoming like, that's the way people think of it.

  But, but for many, many years, there was 30 minute podcast episodes, 15 minute

  podcast episodes. The cool thing about podcasting is it can be whatever you want

  it to be. You own it. It's your, you own the feed, you own the MP3s,

  you own the, or video files because podcasts can be videos.

  Now I keep reminding myself, yes, that's true.

  There's alternate enclosure tags, which support video, but it's not required

  podcasts for audio for the longest time.

  You know, it's called a podcast because it was a broadcast that could fit on an

  iPod and iPods were audio originally.

  So that's why it's called a podcast.

  I'm kind of traditional about that and I like them to be audio only.

  I think most people these days think of podcasts as being longer, but his other

  When YouTubers are doing live reads, it's the same stuff that you hear podcasts

  are talking. You get a website from Squarespace, this kind of stuff.

  So now I don't think there's a whole lot of money in it.

  I don't think that money is a good reason to start a podcast.

  It's more about if you have a message that you want to reach a wider audience

  and you want total control over your show.

  If you know, if you have a YouTube channel, YouTube gets to say, you know, when

  you upload the video,

  there's this, especially once you become monetized, there's this checklist of,

  does it contain firearms? Does it contain drug use?

  Does it contain talks about unaliving yourself?

  Does it does it contain all these other, there's a long list of things once you

  become monetized that you have to tell YouTube your video does not contain

  because the advertisers don't want to be associated with that.

  And so YouTube has the ability to tell you can't talk about this stuff.

  But with a podcast, you can talk about anything you want to.

  You're in charge of the story.

  You're in charge of the feed.

  Nobody can cancel you. Nobody can take it down.

  Those are the reasons to start podcasts, to reach a wider
