Latest / FPL Pod / S4 Ep24: Off The Bench: Saka shines on return
Transcript
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome back to this week's Off the Bench podcast from
- 0:18Speaker 1: the Premier League. I'm Lee from FPR Family and I'm
- 0:21Speaker 1: Asabeth pild Black Box.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Well as good morning.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Game week thirty five saw a lot of rotation, didn't we,
- 0:28Speaker 1: especially from the club still in European competitions. It's about
- 0:31Speaker 1: to be another big footballing week on the continent as well, Arsenal,
- 0:36Speaker 1: Forest Villa, Palace all in action in midweek. Plus we've
- 0:40Speaker 1: got another double gameweeky coming with Palace and Manchester City
- 0:44Speaker 1: in action twice in Game Week thirty six. But before
- 0:47Speaker 1: we get into all of that, how was Game week
- 0:50Speaker 1: thirty five for you?
- 0:51Speaker 2: Disappointingly, very disappointing. Last time we were on, I think
- 0:55Speaker 2: we both had a good game week. We said we're
- 0:57Speaker 2: going to bring the positivity from now on as I
- 0:59Speaker 2: thought you played at World Card. Now, yeah, that's the disappointment.
- 1:03Speaker 2: That's that's why eight green arrows in a row going
- 1:07Speaker 2: into the wild cards and then a red arrow run
- 1:10Speaker 2: and then a red arrow on the wild card and
- 1:12Speaker 2: I think the big dude, the big one was no Bournemouth, right, No, no, no,
- 1:17Speaker 2: real A lot of people doubling up with with those
- 1:20Speaker 2: after World Card in a few weeks ago. Didn't have
- 1:21Speaker 2: either of them, and then you're playing catch up, aren't you?
- 1:24Speaker 2: When you know you got Seessie getting fourteen points, your
- 1:26Speaker 2: players to deliver and some did, some didn't. Yeah it
- 1:29Speaker 2: was It wasn't a massive red, but you know at
- 1:32Speaker 2: this stage of the season you want to be hitting
- 1:34Speaker 2: to big green, don'ty, especially when when you play the
- 1:35Speaker 2: World Card chip. How was yours? Mine was about par?
- 1:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it was about par fifty six points, So I
- 1:41Speaker 1: went down from about one hundred and eleven K to
- 1:43Speaker 1: about one hundred and sixteen K, so about a five
- 1:45Speaker 1: a red arrow, which in the end was one kick
- 1:48Speaker 1: of the ball. It was col Palmer's penalty. The penalty
- 1:50Speaker 1: miss cost me a couple of points rather than swinging
- 1:52Speaker 1: me a few points the other way. So yeah, I
- 1:55Speaker 1: did have the Bournemouth defense. At least I had Hill.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Those that had either Hill or SEESSI, as you say,
- 2:00Speaker 1: did pretty well. If you had both, then congrats. Yeah
- 2:02Speaker 1: Bruno in midfield just the assists. So apart from that,
- 2:05Speaker 1: it's some Meno, Tavanir and Palmer, so really not a
- 2:08Speaker 1: lot to write home about from a midfield perspective, but
- 2:11Speaker 1: it was the forwards, wasn't it? Forward Harland grabbing the goal,
- 2:13Speaker 1: so I got fourteen for him with the Captaincy Welbeck's assist,
- 2:16Speaker 1: give me a five pointer and then Joel Pedro with
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, talk about break the Chelsea duck. That's a
- 2:22Speaker 1: few hours without a goal for Chelsea. And then for
- 2:24Speaker 1: him to rock up with a technically I mean technically
- 2:27Speaker 1: a bicycle.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It superb bicycle.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It very very good deed. So fifty six points. Yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 1: can we say, Gray Arrow, if you've not green or
- 2:35Speaker 1: you're not read, you're about par let's call.
- 2:37Speaker 2: It maybe a move on thirty six. On the one point,
- 2:43Speaker 2: it was a good week for forwards though, wasn't it. Yeah?
- 2:44Speaker 2: You mentioned forwards. We've we've been talking about them, you
- 2:47Speaker 2: know all seasoners. You know this is all about the
- 2:49Speaker 2: center backs. But look at the look at the forwards
- 2:51Speaker 2: that scored this week. You've got Calvin Lewin, You've got Tiago,
- 2:54Speaker 2: Jel Pedro, Barry Harland's you know, Awa Na, You've got
- 2:57Speaker 2: a couple, rich Arlison, got some Nobe, maybe Yokurez as well.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Who were going to talk about are the forwards back
- 3:04Speaker 2: for the final few weeks? You absolutely I think you
- 3:06Speaker 2: should probably start with him. You shouldn't.
- 3:07Speaker 1: We shoud probably start with Victor Jacarets because you know,
- 3:11Speaker 1: a little bit of a roller coaster first season. I
- 3:13Speaker 1: would suggest a little bit a lot of people being
- 3:15Speaker 1: hard on him as he being an fpl asset for
- 3:17Speaker 1: us over the course of the season. In pockets, maybe
- 3:19Speaker 1: in pockets. But listen now, after the weekend's performance, that's
- 3:24Speaker 1: just the third time in the Premier League ear that
- 3:26Speaker 1: an Arsenal player has scored twenty plus goals on their
- 3:28Speaker 1: debut season. Here's a nice test for you, as Tierryanrie
- 3:31Speaker 1: was the first one in nineteen ninety nine, two thousand.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Do you know the other player?
- 3:39Speaker 2: Do you know what they haven't had exactly? Well? Van
- 3:41Speaker 2: Percy who've got his debut he was quite the right
- 3:44Speaker 2: sort of era.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Alexis Sanchez in fourteen fifteen also got twenty goals on.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Famously in midfield and FFL. So my immediately go doesn't
- 3:54Speaker 2: mean when you go that way, yes, I'll let you off.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I'll let you off for twenty plus goals in a
- 3:58Speaker 1: debut season in all competitions. Now for Victor jacares So,
- 4:01Speaker 1: he's an elite company, is what I'm going to say
- 4:02Speaker 1: he's an elite company and I don't know, talk to
- 4:05Speaker 1: me about the game. I thought that Arsenal's mentality going
- 4:08Speaker 1: into this game was absolutely right right, And I've often
- 4:11Speaker 1: thought this season that the mad Weeke and Jacares link up,
- 4:16Speaker 1: if you like, on that right hand side. I don't,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I'm not. I wasn't feeling it. I don't think they
- 4:20Speaker 1: kind of fit each other stylistically. But with Sakka back
- 4:23Speaker 1: in the team, and I know we only saw forty
- 4:25Speaker 1: five minutes worth of Arsenal's wide man there and obviously
- 4:28Speaker 1: resting him, aren't they for their huge European time midweek?
- 4:31Speaker 2: But he was electric, wasn't he?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Soaka right back on it, and Victor Jacares was the
- 4:36Speaker 1: benefactor of a lot of his hard work on that
- 4:38Speaker 1: right hand side the mentality though, taking Arsenal take into
- 4:41Speaker 1: this game, we saw a lot more attacking from Arsenal
- 4:45Speaker 1: rather than we saw the set piece threat as we
- 4:46Speaker 1: usually have over the course of this season. But I
- 4:48Speaker 1: wonder whether there was a little bit of a we've
- 4:50Speaker 1: got to go for goals in this game because they
- 4:53Speaker 1: went into it and it's you know, nip and tuck
- 4:54Speaker 1: with Manchester City could the league be decided on goal
- 4:58Speaker 1: difference maybe, And they've got the fixtures, including this one
- 5:02Speaker 1: Fulham at home in game week thirty five. Got a
- 5:04Speaker 1: lot of fixtures where they could rack up a few goals.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So I wonder whether they went into it with this
- 5:08Speaker 1: kind of attacking mentality. What do you think now that?
- 5:11Speaker 1: And we'll get to City in a bit right with
- 5:13Speaker 1: their draw last night? What do you think now that
- 5:15Speaker 1: City have you know, slipped up in the title race.
- 5:17Speaker 1: They've got the drawer just to Everton, didn't they last night?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Will Arsenal kind of go back to that conservative set
- 5:24Speaker 1: piece predominant threat that we saw or do you think
- 5:26Speaker 1: that Socca and Joccarets is just the key to unlocking
- 5:30Speaker 1: Arsenal from an attacking creativity perspective?
- 5:32Speaker 2: What do you think there's a funny one of it,
- 5:34Speaker 2: because we haven't really seen that from Arsenal a lot
- 5:37Speaker 2: of this season. It's the best performance I think i've
- 5:40Speaker 2: seen them them have in ages and you know that
- 5:42Speaker 2: they're playing a Fulham team that I mean that they're
- 5:45Speaker 2: up there, aren't they? I mean if they won all
- 5:46Speaker 2: their games, they could potentially, like you know, get into
- 5:48Speaker 2: a decent European spot, but I think realistically their season
- 5:52Speaker 2: is petering out, so I think it was a good
- 5:55Speaker 2: game for them in that match in west Ham next
- 5:59Speaker 2: is very different because west Ham got everything to play
- 6:01Speaker 2: for and will be desperate to we need to get
- 6:03Speaker 2: a point in that game, so they I don't think
- 6:06Speaker 2: they're going to allow themselves to be quite as open
- 6:08Speaker 2: in that match, and west Ham are maybe better exploiting
- 6:11Speaker 2: that as well under Nuno, you know, sit back, counter,
- 6:14Speaker 2: So I do wonder if the more pragmatic approach in
- 6:16Speaker 2: that west Ham game, more familiar approach will be will
- 6:18Speaker 2: be a bit better. I mean, then it's Burnley and
- 6:21Speaker 2: then it's Palace, and I don't think Arsenal need to
- 6:23Speaker 2: be you know, handbrake on in either of those two
- 6:26Speaker 2: games because you're not going to know. So you know,
- 6:29Speaker 2: looking at Arsenal players to buy, looking at Arsenal tackers
- 6:31Speaker 2: to buy, you know, soccer soccer and yokaz I went
- 6:34Speaker 2: for which the only one he didn't didn't deliver in
- 6:39Speaker 2: that match, But I'm still optimistic that he can get
- 6:41Speaker 2: something over over the next few over the next few weeks. Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 2: I mean, Yoka has fourteen goals in the league this season.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You say, he's sort of been in pockets, but he
- 6:50Speaker 2: hasn't really he's been in out of the team so much,
- 6:53Speaker 2: hasn't he. I mean, to get fourteen goals start the
- 6:56Speaker 2: season playing every minute, you know, dropped out the team
- 6:58Speaker 2: a bit, has been sort of in an of the
- 7:00Speaker 2: team with different players coming in, so it hasn't really
- 7:03Speaker 2: been an option for us. But I think if Arsenal
- 7:06Speaker 2: goal wi and win the league, you've got to say
- 7:07Speaker 2: those fourteen goals have been have been key to that.
- 7:10Speaker 2: So I'd say he's had a pretty good season. But yeah,
- 7:12Speaker 2: you're right. Yeah, I think this next game of the
- 7:15Speaker 2: three games arsen I've got. I think this West Ham
- 7:17Speaker 2: game is the trickiest one. I still expect him to
- 7:20Speaker 2: win it. And yeah, I think with city dropping points,
- 7:22Speaker 2: you've got to think they're gonna they're gonna go and
- 7:24Speaker 2: lift the trophy this year. Mmm.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, they have the bit between their teeth, won't they.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And I think of those fourteen goals that Chakares has scored,
- 7:32Speaker 1: only one has come against an opponent in the top ten,
- 7:34Speaker 1: which was born with just recently. I think I think
- 7:37Speaker 1: it was to see wasn't it maybe a penalty and
- 7:39Speaker 1: they were eighth at the time born Withouth right, So
- 7:41Speaker 1: we've got a bit of a you know, I'm here
- 7:43Speaker 1: to peddle a bit of a Jacare's flat track bully
- 7:45Speaker 1: narrative if you like. He likes playing against the so
- 7:48Speaker 1: called kind of lesser teams in the league. And actually
- 7:50Speaker 1: you're right when you look at what's remaining west Ham,
- 7:52Speaker 1: Burnley and Palace. Yeah, west Ham of course fighting for
- 7:55Speaker 1: their lives, but you know Burnley at home great fiction,
- 7:59Speaker 1: no need to put the handbrake on, you're right. And
- 8:00Speaker 1: then Pallas or obviously for you know, we think probably
- 8:03Speaker 1: going to have their eyes on other prizes out in
- 8:05Speaker 1: epeut in Europe. Right, So the last three I think
- 8:08Speaker 1: look absolutely great for Arsenal and they're going to be
- 8:10Speaker 1: so encouraged by that result at Everton last night for
- 8:13Speaker 1: Manchester City that I have to.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Say, I'm looking at my team with just Gabrielle.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So I've got a couple of Arsenal slots that are
- 8:19Speaker 1: vacant that I'd like to fill. We'll talk about Cole
- 8:23Speaker 1: Palmer in just a bit, but Palmer Tsaka looks it
- 8:25Speaker 1: looks kind of obvious for me this week. I'm definitely
- 8:27Speaker 1: lying that up and then to kind of add Victor
- 8:29Speaker 1: Jacharees to that would not mind it. I would not
- 8:32Speaker 1: mind it. We should give a shout out to David
- 8:35Speaker 1: Ryat as well. That's the third successive Golden Glove award
- 8:38Speaker 1: for him this season. After Donna Rummer conceded last night.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So City can only now get a maximum of seventeen
- 8:44Speaker 1: clean sheets. Rya is currently on seventeen clean sheets, so
- 8:47Speaker 1: they could at worst share it. But so Riya, we
- 8:50Speaker 1: have to say, third consecutive Golden Glove award very very
- 8:53Speaker 1: good and fully deserved.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You know we've seen week after week after week Arsenal
- 8:57Speaker 1: be defensively sound, so very very good. Indeed, anything else
- 9:00Speaker 1: to say about this game has anything you want to
- 9:02Speaker 1: say about Fulham because I don't think that we're necessarily
- 9:04Speaker 1: looking at Fulham assets for the run in Bournemouth Wolves
- 9:07Speaker 1: away and then Newcastle at home.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think it's better options, know, yeah, I mean Wilson
- 9:11Speaker 2: is one you probably hold. I guess for those fixtures.
- 9:15Speaker 2: You know, some people have still got their bench boost
- 9:17Speaker 2: to play. I think he's he's all right to have
- 9:19Speaker 2: on the bench boost. I think he's he's the one
- 9:20Speaker 2: player in that team that i'd want. I mean Anderson
- 9:23Speaker 2: as well, Kim Anderson gets deph cone. The thing is,
- 9:27Speaker 2: you're looking at three weeks of the season and you're like, yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 2: these players are like you sort of want to fill
- 9:32Speaker 2: your team with, you know, players that you really believe
- 9:35Speaker 2: are going to go one and something a bit more
- 9:36Speaker 2: exciting now. And I think Wilson. If I had Wilson,
- 9:42Speaker 2: I'd probably hold him now until the end of the season.
- 9:43Speaker 2: But yeah, I think anyone else is probably a sell
- 9:46Speaker 2: and look look elsewhere. Yeah, not not. I mean a
- 9:50Speaker 2: shout out to lewis Kelly as well, because I thought
- 9:51Speaker 2: he was He was absolutely brilliant, and Ben played all season,
- 9:54Speaker 2: came into midfield. I think the men he's been quite
- 9:57Speaker 2: poor for quite a number of weeks now, and I
- 9:59Speaker 2: want if lewis Kelly's maybe saved his arsenal career with
- 10:02Speaker 2: that performance, a couple more starts and you know, might
- 10:05Speaker 2: be in the seam of it more next year. Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, very mature, wasn't it? Very mature performance from Marles
- 10:10Speaker 1: lewis Kelly. And I noticed s Declan Rice getting playing
- 10:14Speaker 1: what a bit a little bit deeper to accommodate that
- 10:16Speaker 1: for Marles Lewis Kelly got death gone for the first
- 10:18Speaker 1: time in seven matches Rice, which is kind of that's
- 10:21Speaker 1: why he was playing in that position to do.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Exactly that work.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So yeah, good win for Arsenal and now you know,
- 10:26Speaker 1: in the driving seat for the for the Premier League title.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Let's talk about why they're in the driving seat. Then
- 10:32Speaker 1: Everton versus Manchester City, which we saw on Monday Night
- 10:36Speaker 1: DOCU with a last minute keeping City in the title race. Strike,
- 10:40Speaker 1: wasn't it very very good? Indeed, I do want to
- 10:43Speaker 1: talk about him, but I do want to also talk
- 10:45Speaker 1: about a kind of a fifty to fifty in the
- 10:47Speaker 1: FPL community. We've all been talking about Sameno versus Churkey
- 10:51Speaker 1: over the last few weeks. And given that you played
- 10:54Speaker 1: the wild card in game week thirty five, I'm kind
- 10:56Speaker 1: of interested as to which one you went for. I
- 10:58Speaker 1: played the wildcard back in third two and I kind
- 11:01Speaker 1: of made my bed with Semeno. And given that they've
- 11:03Speaker 1: got the double game week coming up in game week
- 11:05Speaker 1: thirty six, as we know it's home to Palace, home
- 11:07Speaker 1: to Brentford, it looks great. If you've got the triple captain,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I think it's probably triple captain and city player, probably
- 11:12Speaker 1: Harland if you've still got that chip left. We'll talk
- 11:14Speaker 1: about captaincy a bit later on, but I feel kind
- 11:17Speaker 1: of locked into Semeno now. However, that's his fifth game
- 11:21Speaker 1: week without a return, and in that time he's only
- 11:23Speaker 1: clocked up one point three XG compared to Churkey. If
- 11:28Speaker 1: we're going to compare him to Churkey's Churkey's three x G.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Churkey with an assist as well last night, So very
- 11:34Speaker 1: much ticking over the points. I don't feel like I'm
- 11:37Speaker 1: going to make a sideways move from Semeno to Churkey
- 11:41Speaker 1: and burn A, you know, a precious transfer for game
- 11:43Speaker 1: week thirty six. But if you've got if you happen
- 11:46Speaker 1: to have a spare city slot and you are wondering
- 11:49Speaker 1: which of those two to go to, I think Churkey
- 11:52Speaker 1: is just an obvious pick now, isn't over Samenia.
- 11:54Speaker 2: What do you think? I think if you've got a
- 11:56Speaker 2: couple of transfers, you should be looking to make that
- 11:58Speaker 2: move or maybe even I want to do maybe even
- 12:01Speaker 2: go over to Doku, maybe even go over to I mean,
- 12:04Speaker 2: if we've spending you've got like one of the highest
- 12:06Speaker 2: owned players in the game playing quite poorly really, you
- 12:10Speaker 2: know for a while now getting subbed early. This isn't
- 12:14Speaker 2: the ninety minute I mean that was the thing when
- 12:15Speaker 2: anyone selected Sameno over Churkey back in Game of thirty two.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It's because of minutes. Every hasn't played ninety minutes. He
- 12:21Speaker 2: hasn't played them at all. Spend against them every week.
- 12:23Speaker 2: You can look, you know, look at the last few games.
- 12:24Speaker 2: It's it's Jerkey playing more more minutes than Semeno. His
- 12:28Speaker 2: role has changed since when he was he came into
- 12:30Speaker 2: the city, was so effective, you know, playing you know,
- 12:32Speaker 2: right near the goal. He's now out wide. I just
- 12:36Speaker 2: don't like I just don't like him. I don't like
- 12:38Speaker 2: him as an option. I think there is there are
- 12:40Speaker 2: far better options than him at the moment, and giving
- 12:43Speaker 2: his ownership if you are, you know, if you're looking
- 12:45Speaker 2: to chase a mini league rival down, if you're looking
- 12:47Speaker 2: to improve your rank, you need to be taking a
- 12:49Speaker 2: bit of a risk on high owned players. And to me,
- 12:52Speaker 2: he's the one that I'll be looking sack out. I
- 12:53Speaker 2: mean Semeno to Doku, I mean Docu on the other side,
- 12:56Speaker 2: just looks far more. He looks the last few weeks,
- 13:00Speaker 2: five in five for him compared to nought in five
- 13:03Speaker 2: for Smeno. In difference, which one did you go for
- 13:06Speaker 2: on wild card? Do you go for Churkey?
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Much if I said after all that, yeah I went, I
- 13:12Speaker 2: went for Cherkey. I did debate the triple up in
- 13:15Speaker 2: attack because you know, we talked about them needing goals
- 13:17Speaker 2: and things like that. But the thing is, O'Reilly is
- 13:19Speaker 2: just so he's so dangerous still. You know, even even
- 13:22Speaker 2: in that game, you know he racked up a really
- 13:24Speaker 2: high XG an x GI. He's averaging zero point five
- 13:28Speaker 2: nine XG over the last four matches, even at left back,
- 13:31Speaker 2: midfield wherever he plays, you know, you still feel he's
- 13:35Speaker 2: gate crashing that at that box. So I still think
- 13:37Speaker 2: he is the number one asset actually in the team.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You know, it was a poor defensive performance. He didn't register,
- 13:44Speaker 2: you know, any defensive contributions or anything like that, so
- 13:47Speaker 2: it is one point looks really bad, But still I
- 13:49Speaker 2: think he is. You just need him in your side
- 13:53Speaker 2: for the last three. So then it's unless you're selling Harland,
- 13:56Speaker 2: you're choosing one of Cherkey, Docu and Semeno. I've gone
- 14:00Speaker 2: for Jerky. I'm happy with that. I do think if
- 14:04Speaker 2: you're if you're buying now, you could take a little
- 14:06Speaker 2: punt on Doku. M. That's the template, I think, isn't it.
- 14:09Speaker 1: If we're going to call it that, it's it's Harland,
- 14:11Speaker 1: it's it's it's Nico O'Reilly, and then it's one of
- 14:13Speaker 1: those midfielders. But I feel like that is a real
- 14:17Speaker 1: coin toss at the minute. And yeah, I'm with you.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I don't know if I would be picking some meno now. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: he's in and out, in and out the team, not
- 14:23Speaker 1: getting the minutes. It is between Cherkey and I hadn't
- 14:25Speaker 1: really considered Docu quite as much. You've put that thought
- 14:28Speaker 1: in my head, to be honest with you, I've got
- 14:30Speaker 1: three free transfers going into next week and I'll see
- 14:32Speaker 1: his goldly and to I know, well, yeah, absolutely, yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: absolutely and certainly the I mean the first one last
- 14:38Speaker 1: night was a banger, wasn't it.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Absolutely love to say, love to see it.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And actually for him to even take on that shot
- 14:44Speaker 1: there in that position says a lot about his mentality
- 14:48Speaker 1: right now, says a lot that his confidence and popping
- 14:50Speaker 1: up in central areas as well. I mean in my head,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I've got this image of Docu flying down the wing,
- 14:55Speaker 1: getting to the byline and trying to find Harland. Right,
- 14:57Speaker 1: it's about getting as close to the byline as possible
- 15:00Speaker 1: cross and taking on a man on the outside.
- 15:03Speaker 2: But you're right, and the last few.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Weeks is sort of cutting inside a little bit, finding
- 15:06Speaker 1: himself in central areas. And of course as soon as
- 15:08Speaker 1: you find yourself in central areas you're open to the shot.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Then the shot is on, isn't it. And he's got
- 15:12Speaker 1: the confidence to take it. So yeah, and with you
- 15:15Speaker 1: on that, I'll probably be between the two of them,
- 15:17Speaker 1: either Churkey or Jeremy Docu.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I think it would be one of those two.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Shout out to Everton though they made a great game
- 15:22Speaker 1: of this, right, I mean for them to be three
- 15:24Speaker 1: to one up on eighty one minutes, you could see
- 15:27Speaker 1: Pep Guardiola really moving uncomfortably in his seat, and City
- 15:30Speaker 1: did well to get a point out of it. Don't
- 15:31Speaker 1: get me wrong, but they put a massive dent in
- 15:34Speaker 1: Cities title hopes here. Haven't they anybody from Everton that's
- 15:37Speaker 1: catching you out? They've got Crystal Palace away next, so
- 15:40Speaker 1: we know that Crystal Palace As we mentioned before, we're
- 15:41Speaker 1: going to be thinking about other competitions. Potentially the final
- 15:45Speaker 1: game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in game week thirty
- 15:47Speaker 1: seven is Sunderland at home who are conceding a lot
- 15:49Speaker 1: of goals at the minute, and then Everton have got
- 15:52Speaker 1: Spurs away in game week thirty eight, so obviously we're
- 15:55Speaker 1: gonna have to talk about Spurs a bit later on.
- 15:57Speaker 1: We're gonna have to be really positive about them for
- 15:58Speaker 1: a change, which is nice. But Everton assets anybody catching
- 16:02Speaker 1: your eye?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know again, it's what can we
- 16:06Speaker 2: really expect from over the next few few weeks. I
- 16:08Speaker 2: mean some of the home looks good. In thirty seven,
- 16:11Speaker 2: Pallace is totalugh, Like you just don't know what team Palace.
- 16:14Speaker 2: If Pallace put out a decent side, I would expect
- 16:16Speaker 2: them to win that. That game Spurs in the final
- 16:19Speaker 2: day is a really difficult one, I think, given everything
- 16:22Speaker 2: that Spurs are going through and they're going to have
- 16:24Speaker 2: their lives, so it's really some at home. I still
- 16:27Speaker 2: think I'd only consider Dewsbury Hall. I think he's the
- 16:29Speaker 2: only one I'd be I'd be looking at. If you've
- 16:32Speaker 2: got like Takovski Garner something like that, you hold them.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I think I don't think you need to be, you know,
- 16:38Speaker 2: worrying about by about selling them, but to actually buy
- 16:41Speaker 2: one of their players now, I think there's probably better
- 16:43Speaker 2: assets you. You've got a double game week coming up.
- 16:46Speaker 2: You want to make sure you've got all the right
- 16:47Speaker 2: ones for that, and then I think you want to
- 16:48Speaker 2: be targeting teams with with something a bit more to
- 16:50Speaker 2: play for. So yeah, but yeah, I mean they've been,
- 16:54Speaker 2: they've been. They've been quite a fun team this this
- 16:57Speaker 2: year Everton. You know, there's you've got Garner and Takovski
- 17:00Speaker 2: in the deaf cons, Keen's been getting all those goals,
- 17:02Speaker 2: Doe ye so and Barry up top. Yeah, it's been.
- 17:06Speaker 1: It's been a fun one and Di has been on
- 17:08Speaker 1: radar as well as I would say.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I'm open to it.
- 17:12Speaker 1: With Palace and Sunderland up next, and particularly when you consider,
- 17:16Speaker 1: you know, Crystal Palace and how they rolled out against Bournemouth,
- 17:18Speaker 1: let's do that game next Borne with three Palace still.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I mean Glasena made five alterations to his lineup, didn't he.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I think Chris Richards, Mitchell Wharton, Sar Matteta all dropped
- 17:28Speaker 1: to the bench. Clearly they've got one eye on the
- 17:31Speaker 1: Conference League game on Thursday. Of course, I mean it's
- 17:33Speaker 1: going to be historic for them if they were to win.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I think their first European trophy.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Am I right in saying that? I think it probably
- 17:39Speaker 2: is their first European trophy? I thought so.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And because of those changes they failed to register an
- 17:43Speaker 1: attempt on goal in that first half.
- 17:44Speaker 2: They really were poor. Indeed, we've got to give Bournemouth
- 17:47Speaker 2: some flowers. We've got to say that.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Another fun player for us this year, Junior Croopie four
- 17:51Speaker 1: point six in FPL. Still still pretty cheap and has
- 17:54Speaker 1: been cheap all season. We talked about how many fun
- 17:56Speaker 1: picks there has been from Everton. Here's another one from Bournemouth.
- 17:59Speaker 1: He's been super fun for us, isn't he Bornemo's top
- 18:01Speaker 1: scorer in the Premier League this season? Twelve goals and
- 18:04Speaker 1: apparently on penalties. I bought Marcus Taviner on my wild
- 18:07Speaker 1: card a few weeks ago with potentially penalty kicks and
- 18:10Speaker 1: some free kicks, and it turns out that Croopy Junior
- 18:12Speaker 1: actually is the one that I probably should have gone for.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Four goals in his last five games for Croopy Junior listen.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I think there's plenty of pick still from that Bournemouth
- 18:20Speaker 1: team and if you look at their fixtures over the
- 18:23Speaker 1: remaining game weeks, it is that Fulham game. Next it's
- 18:25Speaker 1: Manchester City at home again that could that be the
- 18:28Speaker 1: final nail in the man City coughin difficult game for
- 18:30Speaker 1: man City down at the vitality and then Forrest Away
- 18:33Speaker 1: on the final day.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Who you'd think we're probably.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Going to be safe by then, but we'll see. Let's
- 18:37Speaker 1: do palace first though. What did you make of all
- 18:39Speaker 1: of the changes that they made and are they a
- 18:41Speaker 1: team to target given that they're going to have their
- 18:43Speaker 1: own other things?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I don't blame teams for making changes.
- 18:47Speaker 2: You know, there's there are other prophecies, aren't there? They
- 18:49Speaker 2: are safe in the league there, I mean, what's the
- 18:51Speaker 2: highest they could finish, Probably about ninth or tenth. Like
- 18:54Speaker 2: they're not in the position to be in the European
- 18:57Speaker 2: spots and really they're going to be looking at the
- 18:59Speaker 2: qualified view through winning this the conference league, So you like,
- 19:02Speaker 2: I don't. I don't have any problem with with really
- 19:05Speaker 2: what they're doing. I think what you're expecting though, is
- 19:07Speaker 2: is a bit more fight from some of the fringe
- 19:09Speaker 2: players like we saw with Forest, So you know you
- 19:12Speaker 2: had players coming in who played so well, and then
- 19:14Speaker 2: you look at the Palace players and they just looked
- 19:17Speaker 2: it looked like a pre season friendly or a training
- 19:19Speaker 2: that's doing it. Yeah, there was just no energy, no desire.
- 19:22Speaker 2: There was only ever one team that was going to win,
- 19:25Speaker 2: you know, win that game, and that'll be disappointing, I
- 19:27Speaker 2: think for Glasner. But I mean talking about pre planned
- 19:29Speaker 2: subs as well. I've never heard of that in the
- 19:31Speaker 2: in the in the interview is like, yeah, we're going
- 19:33Speaker 2: to bring off a couple of players at forty five.
- 19:35Speaker 2: It's going to be Moonas and blah blah blah. It's like, wow,
- 19:37Speaker 2: it's that's a red flag.
- 19:39Speaker 1: For us, isn't it, NPL Because it's just like we're
- 19:41Speaker 1: going into game week thirty six Crystal Palace obviously with
- 19:44Speaker 1: the double all Manchester City away and Everton at home.
- 19:47Speaker 1: But I don't know, I don't know if I'm going
- 19:49Speaker 1: to be using any of my precious transfers to I
- 19:52Speaker 1: was thinking about not going sideways to Doku. Maybe I
- 19:55Speaker 1: will if I can save one on not getting a
- 19:57Speaker 1: Crystal Palace asset because I just wouldn't know where to go.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Maybe you can go defense, but because I'm three, sure,
- 20:03Speaker 1: have you right talk us through that?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah, well I've got I've got to triple up in
- 20:08Speaker 2: defense because I look at the attack and I just think,
- 20:11Speaker 2: I don't know who's going to start these games. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 2: Mateta and Strand Larsener finding out up top. You know
- 20:15Speaker 2: Sara has missed quite a few games. Now, who you
- 20:18Speaker 2: know who is going to pick Brenan Johnson? No, you know,
- 20:21Speaker 2: he's somebody going to happen. So gone three. In defense,
- 20:23Speaker 2: I've gone Henderson and Laquis, who I would expect. They
- 20:26Speaker 2: both played, they play both, they both think yeah. And
- 20:29Speaker 2: then I've gone for Munoz who who knows, like, who knows?
- 20:34Speaker 2: You know, he's he seems he's a player who can
- 20:37Speaker 2: play every minute of every match. But if they qualify,
- 20:40Speaker 2: they they're just not going to want to pick up
- 20:41Speaker 2: any any stupid injuries, you know, ahead of that final,
- 20:45Speaker 2: even though it's it's the final is ages away. That's
- 20:47Speaker 2: the thing. If they do qualify, it is a while away,
- 20:49Speaker 2: but it will be a lot of games very quickly.
- 20:53Speaker 2: And I do wonder if if Moons could have another
- 20:56Speaker 2: forty five minutes in that game against Everton and then
- 20:59Speaker 2: maybe starts against City, but against City where you've got
- 21:02Speaker 2: to think they're gonna they're going to struggle in that game.
- 21:05Speaker 2: So it's not ideal. It's not I've waited all this
- 21:08Speaker 2: time to play the world card and play the bench
- 21:10Speaker 2: poost and it feels like I've done that to lock
- 21:12Speaker 2: in on this Crystal Palace double and I don't even
- 21:15Speaker 2: know he's after that performance as well, It's like this
- 21:22Speaker 2: team could concede buckets of goals and I wouldn't be
- 21:25Speaker 2: too surprised.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I have to say I'm probably not going to
- 21:28Speaker 1: look at any palace assets for next week.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I mean I don't.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I might, you know, defense, Yes, I guess I could
- 21:35Speaker 1: get on board. And again, for me, if I was
- 21:37Speaker 1: going to go with anyone, I think I probably would
- 21:39Speaker 1: go with Minov's because of what he can do. Right,
- 21:42Speaker 1: of course, he can get in those positions. He can
- 21:44Speaker 1: get goals as well as as well as clean sheets,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and he can be a brilliant asset for us. We've
- 21:47Speaker 1: seen it in weeks gone by, in the last couple
- 21:50Speaker 1: of seasons in FPL, haven't we.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But I don't know you know, I don't know.
- 21:54Speaker 1: That was just when Glasner came out pre match and
- 21:56Speaker 1: talked about you know, planned substitutions. I almost fell off
- 21:59Speaker 1: my chair the same as you as I was like, what, yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 1: we never see this in FPR. We love to see
- 22:05Speaker 1: we love to see managers come out and give us,
- 22:07Speaker 1: you know, some certainty about.
- 22:08Speaker 2: What's going to happen, but it never happens. So for
- 22:10Speaker 2: it to happen pretty good would have been a lot
- 22:13Speaker 2: more help.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Yes, true, yeah, sure enough, sure enough. But for me,
- 22:17Speaker 1: just him saying it was enough of a red flag.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And look, you know he's already said that he's not
- 22:20Speaker 1: going to be there next season, big big game for
- 22:23Speaker 1: them in Europe, two big games coming up. I don't yeah,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I'm just not sure that I'm going to be bringing
- 22:28Speaker 1: in any palace assets.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I think in a week where.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You know, Arsenal absolutely particularly from an attack perspective, put
- 22:33Speaker 1: themselves back on the radar.
- 22:36Speaker 2: You know, Spurs as.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Well, We've got to talk about them. I might want
- 22:38Speaker 1: some Spurs going into run in. I just don't know
- 22:41Speaker 1: if I'm going to go palaced. And which feels weird
- 22:43Speaker 1: right because an FPL So did you see a double
- 22:45Speaker 1: game week you're like, yeah, all in and you've gone
- 22:47Speaker 1: all in on you are card with the triple defense
- 22:50Speaker 1: could pay off for you. But after that performance against Bournemouth, thumb,
- 22:53Speaker 1: I'm not feeling so not feeling it. Yeah, defensively though
- 22:57Speaker 1: Bournemouth very very good. Sonessi grabbing the def con and
- 23:00Speaker 1: an assist to get fourteen points for his owners and
- 23:03Speaker 1: James Hill chipping in as well with a ten pointer
- 23:06Speaker 1: for Sinesse. That was his third double digit Hall since
- 23:09Speaker 1: game week twenty nine, which is the joint most of
- 23:11Speaker 1: any player in that time. What a world we live
- 23:14Speaker 1: in as right, Who'd have thought it at the beginning.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Of the season.
- 23:16Speaker 1: These defensive contributions really have opened up the player pool
- 23:21Speaker 1: and have put players like Senessei well and truly on
- 23:24Speaker 1: the FPR radar the joint most of any player double
- 23:27Speaker 1: digit hall since game week twenty nine. Of those two
- 23:30Speaker 1: really really doing the business. So we've talked about Crystal
- 23:32Speaker 1: Palace being a little bit eyes on Europe. Let's talk
- 23:35Speaker 1: about another team that heavily rotated with eyes on Europe.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Aston Villa one, Spurs two. I mean, we are going
- 23:41Speaker 1: to give Spurs some flowers in a minute, because they
- 23:43Speaker 1: were well, let's just say it was different from them.
- 23:46Speaker 1: It was different from what we've seen in recent weeks.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But let's talk about Villa first. A heavily rotated Aston
- 23:52Speaker 1: Villa that was their third straight defeating all competitions. Not
- 23:55Speaker 1: a single effort on the Spurs goal until the hour
- 23:58Speaker 1: mark and not a show on target until the ninety
- 24:01Speaker 1: sixth minute. So this are not going to say they
- 24:04Speaker 1: rolled over here for Spurs, but that you know, the
- 24:06Speaker 1: fact that they heavily rotated, they've obviously got their eyes
- 24:09Speaker 1: and other things.
- 24:09Speaker 2: It really did give Spurs the advantage and it Yeah,
- 24:12Speaker 2: I think you know, Emory would be really disappointed. I
- 24:14Speaker 2: mean similar to you say with Gladsner. You know, but
- 24:18Speaker 2: there's there's a difference between Crystal Palace and everything. You know,
- 24:22Speaker 2: Emory has been building at Villa and I think he'll
- 24:24Speaker 2: look at He'll look at some of those fringe players
- 24:26Speaker 2: and think, do you want to be here? Like, you know,
- 24:29Speaker 2: the performance wasn't amazing, but like you shouldn't. You just
- 24:32Speaker 2: shouldn't be. You should they shouldn't be losing at home
- 24:34Speaker 2: to Spurs at this stage and you know that the
- 24:37Speaker 2: one thing Spurs are going to bring is like energy,
- 24:40Speaker 2: and you've got to find a way to counter that,
- 24:42Speaker 2: and then you didn't seem to have like any answers
- 24:43Speaker 2: to it at all. They were going mad, weren't they that?
- 24:47Speaker 2: The Spurs, the Spurs players, you know, the celebrations on
- 24:50Speaker 2: the pitch and grabbing each other like they look like
- 24:52Speaker 2: a unit and a team. It looks like Deserbes work
- 24:55Speaker 2: that magic that so many people thought that he would have.
- 24:58Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, it's never easy when you make
- 25:00Speaker 2: so many changes. But I was, I was really disappointed
- 25:03Speaker 2: with it. I thought Villa would win that game. I
- 25:05Speaker 2: bought in Rogers on the world card. There were Spurs
- 25:08Speaker 2: at home that it's Burning next, and I thought, that's
- 25:10Speaker 2: two really really good fixtures. But yeah, it just it
- 25:13Speaker 2: just didn't happen for them. And you know, if you
- 25:15Speaker 2: bought in what kids and and other players, you'll surely
- 25:18Speaker 2: be looking after that Burnie game and thinking you're done right.
- 25:22Speaker 2: It's it's one more week for your Villa and then
- 25:24Speaker 2: you want to be moving them on. It's two difficult
- 25:25Speaker 2: games to win the season. Yeah, I think with Burning
- 25:28Speaker 2: up next, Yeah, if you've got your hole, don't you?
- 25:29Speaker 2: But then what is it after that? Liverpool Manchester City
- 25:32Speaker 2: going to be difficult. Going to be difficult, isn't it.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I think something I want to pick up on something
- 25:36Speaker 1: you said there though about the Spurs players in particular,
- 25:38Speaker 1: you know, celebrating absolutely everything on the pit. I mean,
- 25:42Speaker 1: they were different class, I thought, compared to what we've
- 25:46Speaker 1: seen in recent weeks. You're right, Deserbi is definitely getting
- 25:49Speaker 1: a tune out of these boys, Paulina and Benton Court
- 25:51Speaker 1: in the midfield. Talk about a powerful midfield. I mean
- 25:54Speaker 1: they were they were winning, like they were winning tackles
- 25:57Speaker 1: and getting up and like you know, clenching their fists
- 25:59Speaker 1: and give the fifth punth from winning tackles like you
- 26:02Speaker 1: love to see it. This is exactly what Spurs fans
- 26:04Speaker 1: have wanted for weeks and weeks and weeks. And I
- 26:07Speaker 1: do want to give a shout out to a few
- 26:08Speaker 1: different players, right. Mattis tell as well, he's only six
- 26:10Speaker 1: point two in FPL. Seven crosses in this game took
- 26:14Speaker 1: the corners away from Pedro Poro. A lot of a
- 26:17Speaker 1: lot of us that played the free hit a couple
- 26:18Speaker 1: of weeks ago got Pedro Poro. I think he got
- 26:21Speaker 1: nine or ten points. Indently, that's that week a couple
- 26:23Speaker 1: of weeks ago, and I was very happy with that, right,
- 26:25Speaker 1: And a lot of the chance creation statistics for Poro
- 26:28Speaker 1: in that game came from the fact he was on corners.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Deserbie putting back on corners, but actually it was Tell
- 26:32Speaker 1: that was taking a lot of them in this game.
- 26:34Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't know Tell. I don't know about
- 26:37Speaker 1: Tell as an fpl asset. I think it's probably better
- 26:39Speaker 1: in the midfield. He feels a little bit unpredictable Tell,
- 26:43Speaker 1: So if you want a real differential between now and
- 26:45Speaker 1: the end of the season, maybe he's one to have
- 26:48Speaker 1: a look at. But the key goal threat for Spurs
- 26:50Speaker 1: it has to be with Charlson.
- 26:52Speaker 2: With Slanky not there.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I just felt that a lot of the creativity, a
- 26:57Speaker 1: lot of the output from Spurs midfield would fall to
- 27:00Speaker 1: rich Arlison. That's his tenth goal of the season. Second attack.
- 27:03Speaker 1: In returning two matches from away perspective, Spurs are good, right,
- 27:07Speaker 1: I mean spursa if you look at the away Premier
- 27:09Speaker 1: League table they're third. Yeah, But if you look at
- 27:12Speaker 1: the home one, they're nineteenth. That is so it's the
- 27:14Speaker 1: home form that's the real problem, isn't it. It's crazy,
- 27:16Speaker 1: isn't it. You think about the stadium. They've got unbelievably
- 27:19Speaker 1: good stadium that they can't seem to get a performance.
- 27:21Speaker 1: There is that a concern for us though, as because
- 27:23Speaker 1: in the last three games they've got Leeds and Everton
- 27:25Speaker 1: both at home and then Chelsea away. It's stand for
- 27:27Speaker 1: bridging thirty seven. Is this home form enough of a
- 27:32Speaker 1: concern for us to not invest in them over the
- 27:34Speaker 1: final three weeks or did you see enough in this
- 27:36Speaker 1: Villa game to suggest it's high intensity? The press was there,
- 27:41Speaker 1: they were winning the ball back in high up areas.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You've got players like rich Charlson carrying a lot of
- 27:46Speaker 1: goal threat.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Maybe I'm going over the top with Spurs. You can
- 27:49Speaker 1: tell you can you can rain me in a little bit.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Maybe, Well, I don't think you I think they deserve
- 27:54Speaker 2: the credit and I think, you know, we talk about
- 27:56Speaker 2: Villa putting out a B team, but really Spurs have
- 27:59Speaker 2: been playing there D team for promised the whole season
- 28:02Speaker 2: of all the injuries, so you can't say Villa. You know,
- 28:05Speaker 2: Villa put out a weekend team and Spurs, you know,
- 28:06Speaker 2: put their full strength eleven because they've got so many
- 28:09Speaker 2: players missing. I think the thing is, I think Spurs
- 28:11Speaker 2: have been so predictable to play against, have been su pedestrian,
- 28:14Speaker 2: so you know, any team will just rock up, know
- 28:17Speaker 2: how their shape and know how they're going to play,
- 28:18Speaker 2: whereas Deserbe brings chaos. You know, he brings high press
- 28:23Speaker 2: in terends, all the things you mentioned, but players into
- 28:25Speaker 2: change positions all the time. You never know where a
- 28:26Speaker 2: player is going to crop up. He did it when
- 28:28Speaker 2: when I watched him at Brighton as well. You know
- 28:30Speaker 2: players shifting wings, and you know players playing as tens
- 28:32Speaker 2: and sudden playing as eight. You never you never know
- 28:34Speaker 2: what's going to happen. And you've got to think that
- 28:37Speaker 2: you can't really look at them with the same lens
- 28:39Speaker 2: as we've looked at them under under Frank and Tudor.
- 28:42Speaker 2: They are a completely different side. And the big question
- 28:45Speaker 2: was can Deservebe get a tune out of them quickly
- 28:47Speaker 2: and get them playing his style. I don't think there's
- 28:49Speaker 2: been a bad performance from them since you've taken over, Yes,
- 28:53Speaker 2: so I think you have to say he has. And
- 28:54Speaker 2: I think you're looking at teams with something to play for.
- 28:57Speaker 2: You're looking at you know, you're looking at teams with
- 28:59Speaker 2: like I think one key player, right, you've got If
- 29:01Speaker 2: you're looking at Spurs, I don't think you're looking at
- 29:03Speaker 2: tell you know, Berg, vow In anyone like that. You're
- 29:06Speaker 2: looking at roch Arlison. He is the one player. So
- 29:10Speaker 2: he's a player I'm looking at this week. I think
- 29:11Speaker 2: I think he's I think he's you have to look
- 29:13Speaker 2: at him. Yeah, yeah, And I think ignore that that
- 29:15Speaker 2: home form. I think the fact they've got two home
- 29:17Speaker 2: games when the season I'm still going to say, is
- 29:20Speaker 2: a good thing. So I think he's a He's definitely
- 29:22Speaker 2: on the watch list, if not, if not by if not.
- 29:25Speaker 1: And you're right that that home form is under you know,
- 29:27Speaker 1: it was under Frank, it was under Tutor. They they did,
- 29:29Speaker 1: they do, they did at the weekend and they do
- 29:31Speaker 1: in general just look different.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Under Deserve.
- 29:34Speaker 1: He absolutely is getting a tune out of them. And
- 29:36Speaker 1: it's that midfield. I think Benson, Corby and back in particular.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Not that we're going to pick him an FPL, I
- 29:40Speaker 1: don't think, but him being back in midfield and twinning
- 29:43Speaker 1: him with Paolini I.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Think just works.
- 29:45Speaker 1: It just worked very very good. Indeed, from Spurs, let's
- 29:48Speaker 1: talk about Liverpool versus Manchester United then so my team
- 29:52Speaker 1: so man United three Liverpool two. That's the Champions League
- 29:55Speaker 1: locked now, I think for Manchester United, so you have
- 29:57Speaker 1: to give carricks and praise for that, right. They've been
- 29:59Speaker 1: fantastic since he's come in and Berne Fernandez only five
- 30:02Speaker 1: points in this game, so a bit unlucky for those
- 30:04Speaker 1: that captains him. I think created six chances here, including
- 30:08Speaker 1: two big chances. Finished the match with just over one
- 30:12Speaker 1: one point zero two expected goal involvement, so probably could have,
- 30:17Speaker 1: maybe should have had something a bit more than just
- 30:19Speaker 1: an assist in this game. And again Casamiro popping up
- 30:22Speaker 1: with the defensive contributions for the third successive game week.
- 30:26Speaker 1: That's he's had sixty six defensive contribution actions over the
- 30:31Speaker 1: last three weeks, by the way, which is.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Fourteen more than any player.
- 30:34Speaker 1: So if you want to kind of you want to
- 30:35Speaker 1: signal for why Manchester unit had been really good over
- 30:38Speaker 1: the last three weeks and they've got three wins now
- 30:40Speaker 1: in the Premier League back to back. I think you
- 30:42Speaker 1: have to point to him. You have to say Casimiro
- 30:44Speaker 1: and the way that he's playing, sixty six defensive contributions
- 30:47Speaker 1: across three games is absolutely crazy. By the way, we'll
- 30:52Speaker 1: do Liverpol a bit, but Manchester United first, Do you
- 30:54Speaker 1: agree that Brene Fernandez, owners and maybe captains were a
- 30:57Speaker 1: little bit unlucky not to get more?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Yeah? Absolutely, And I think really he's had such a
- 31:02Speaker 2: good season. I think everyone's lucky not to get more
- 31:05Speaker 2: points from this year because I mean you look at
- 31:06Speaker 2: the sheer number of chances he has created, which is absolutely,
- 31:11Speaker 2: like astronomically high, and you think, well, you should probably
- 31:13Speaker 2: have more than the I think it's twenty fantasy assists
- 31:15Speaker 2: now he's got, so yeah, yeah, maybe like seventeen or
- 31:19Speaker 2: eighteen like Regulus, he's still chasing that that record. But
- 31:21Speaker 2: I think I'm lucky not to have smashed that smashed
- 31:24Speaker 2: that record already. Yeah, particularly in this game. You you
- 31:27Speaker 2: you could have had, you could have had more. I
- 31:28Speaker 2: mean he's just, for me, player of the season, you know,
- 31:31Speaker 2: without a doubt in the league, and I think just
- 31:34Speaker 2: still the best fpl asset that you can you can have.
- 31:38Speaker 2: So yeah, amazing, amazing for him. Casimira as well. I mean,
- 31:41Speaker 2: what you know, what a couple of weeks he's he's had. Again,
- 31:45Speaker 2: I think you're maybe a bit unlucky not to get
- 31:47Speaker 2: something more from him in that game as well, if
- 31:48Speaker 2: you if you brought him in. But I think he's
- 31:50Speaker 2: a perfectly acceptable player to to buy for the next
- 31:54Speaker 2: few weeks as well, because he's getting death gone. He's
- 31:56Speaker 2: got a goal threat and man, you are playing well,
- 31:59Speaker 2: just want a little bit if they're going to take
- 32:01Speaker 2: the foot off the gas now they've got that that
- 32:03Speaker 2: Champions League. I mean, you see there rumors about Cunya.
- 32:06Speaker 2: He was apparently he's been being told he's not going
- 32:09Speaker 2: to play again, he's gonna be rested for Brazil. I
- 32:11Speaker 2: think he's now come out and said he has no
- 32:14Speaker 2: idea what people are talking about. And right, that's that's
- 32:17Speaker 2: not going to happen. So something to keep your eye
- 32:19Speaker 2: on if you're a Cuna acun your owner, I think,
- 32:21Speaker 2: just to see what what happens with that. There's maybe
- 32:23Speaker 2: some concerns that he might you might miss a few
- 32:26Speaker 2: games for that. But and Door who's back now too.
- 32:29Speaker 2: But yeah, I think you know, Casamiro and Fernandez are
- 32:33Speaker 2: the ones i'd be looking at.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I think if you're going to double up it
- 32:35Speaker 1: probably as Casimiro, isn't it. Yeah, I mean Kunya gets
- 32:38Speaker 1: the goal here, but and and Bumo as well. Yeah,
- 32:41Speaker 1: such a good asset for us last season, wasn't he?
- 32:43Speaker 1: And under Thomas Frank at Brentford? But yeah, not so good?
- 32:47Speaker 2: Did he score? I can't even remember him scoring in
- 32:49Speaker 2: the last is called this year? I don't know.
- 32:52Speaker 1: He had a good had a good start to his
- 32:54Speaker 1: Manchester United creer didn't he playing largely through the middle.
- 32:56Speaker 1: But since Cesco's come in and found form, I don't
- 32:59Speaker 1: if I would pick Brian and Bremo in FPL. Now
- 33:02Speaker 1: obviously Bruno's there, right, But I think if you're going
- 33:04Speaker 1: to double up, if you do want to double up,
- 33:06Speaker 1: because it's Sundered up next and then Forrest at home
- 33:08Speaker 1: and they finish up with burnt with sorry Brighton away
- 33:11Speaker 1: in game week thirty eight, So a tricky little picture
- 33:13Speaker 1: on the final day. But Sunderland Forest and looks pretty good,
- 33:17Speaker 1: doesn't it. It looks pretty good. And if you're going
- 33:18Speaker 1: to double up on Manchester United, it probably is Casamiro
- 33:21Speaker 1: and Brunos as potentially, you know, and I need to.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Use this word. It's a little bit.
- 33:25Speaker 1: It's a little bit boring, isn't a Casmiro Because you're
- 33:27Speaker 1: kind of looking at defensive contributions as your route to points,
- 33:30Speaker 1: whereas you know you might want to look at Anbumo
- 33:32Speaker 1: or Akun or a Cessco. But I don't know if
- 33:34Speaker 1: you can pick any of those three. I think Casksoimiro
- 33:36Speaker 1: is probably the one to go for.
- 33:37Speaker 2: If I told you at the start of the season
- 33:39Speaker 2: that Casimiro would be on one hundred and sixty four points,
- 33:41Speaker 2: I know it's potentially pushing what one hundred and eighty
- 33:45Speaker 2: points for this season. That is, I would never have
- 33:49Speaker 2: thought he would get anywhere anywhere near that. I do
- 33:52Speaker 2: think with all the like all the hype around his exit,
- 33:55Speaker 2: and you know what, he what he's brought to see.
- 33:57Speaker 2: The fans love him, he loves the club for everything
- 34:01Speaker 2: he seems to show. He's come through such a rough
- 34:03Speaker 2: patch where everyone had written him off. Yeah, I just
- 34:05Speaker 2: think he's got that. If you're looking for like a
- 34:07Speaker 2: narrative to you know, to end the season, you know
- 34:09Speaker 2: you can got Forrest in thirty seven, that last home
- 34:12Speaker 2: game at Old Trafford. He's definitely scored in that game.
- 34:14Speaker 2: You can see it. I'll be amazed if he didn't.
- 34:17Speaker 2: You can see it.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think from a Liverpool perspective, I've not
- 34:21Speaker 1: got too much to say about this game. That's to
- 34:22Speaker 1: be honest with you. I think, yeah, I'll give you
- 34:25Speaker 1: United some praise. Right first twenty minutes they absolutely flew
- 34:28Speaker 1: out the traps and I think, you know, suppressed us.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I mean, they just got on top of us and
- 34:32Speaker 1: shell shocked us. In the first few minutes of this game.
- 34:35Speaker 1: They went to and up very quickly. We looked at,
- 34:38Speaker 1: you know, shadow of a side. Really, second off was
- 34:41Speaker 1: a little bit better, although I'd say that the Liverpool
- 34:44Speaker 1: goals largely came from United mistakes, particularly the second one
- 34:48Speaker 1: from Cody Gakpo. Gakpo did rack up five shots in total.
- 34:51Speaker 1: We got thirteen points in this game. So for his owners,
- 34:54Speaker 1: if there's any any Cody Gakpo owners out there, congrats.
- 34:57Speaker 2: That's a nice hole.
- 34:58Speaker 1: But Chelsea Villa Brentford up next, I don't know, you know,
- 35:03Speaker 1: I mean, could you go? Could you could you have
- 35:06Speaker 1: Mosala potentially for the last couple of games at anfield maybe,
- 35:10Speaker 1: but it depends on whether it is hamstring is going
- 35:12Speaker 1: to hold up. I mean that we've heard that it's
- 35:14Speaker 1: potentially not as bad as first feared, So even that
- 35:18Speaker 1: feels a bit punting and a bit romantic at this stage.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I came away from that game not feeling like I
- 35:23Speaker 1: want to invest in Liverpool for the rest of the season,
- 35:25Speaker 1: which is a Liverpool fan is a tough thing to say.
- 35:28Speaker 1: But I think we're going to I think we're just
- 35:29Speaker 1: going to pass on them though.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Yeah. The the only player I'd be looking that would
- 35:33Speaker 2: be Suboslai, I think, And that's okay, fair point, Yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 2: that wouldn't be for the I mean Chelsea at home,
- 35:39Speaker 2: to be fair, it looks like a tough fixtion on paper,
- 35:42Speaker 2: but I mean look at their performance, you know, yesterday,
- 35:44Speaker 2: So I don't think I don't think that is too bad. Again,
- 35:47Speaker 2: if you've got like a Van Dyke, if you've got Slai,
- 35:50Speaker 2: if you've got Florinverts, I don't think they're a priority
- 35:52Speaker 2: self in these In these games, I think you can
- 35:56Speaker 2: just hold them. Would I be buying them, I don't know.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think I think Suppozzi for
- 36:01Speaker 2: that Brentford got home game might be one I'd look at,
- 36:04Speaker 2: But other than that, I won't be going anywhere anywhere
- 36:08Speaker 2: in the fixtures. Aren't as bad as you think, though,
- 36:10Speaker 2: especially Brentford, have eve secured you or rep or or
- 36:13Speaker 2: have dropped out the race?
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yeah all right, well, as you rightly say, it's Chelsea next,
- 36:16Speaker 1: so let's do Chelsea versus Forest.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Then I noticed that.
- 36:19Speaker 1: It was eight point one point one XG that Chelsea
- 36:22Speaker 1: had wrapped up before the Jo Pedro strike, and as
- 36:25Speaker 1: we said at the top of the podcast, what a strike.
- 36:27Speaker 1: By the way, as a Jao Pedro owner, he was
- 36:30Speaker 1: largely on the periphery of this game. I thought Forrest
- 36:32Speaker 1: were by far the better side.
- 36:34Speaker 2: But the goal, the.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Jear Pedro goal, technically I thought to pick it off
- 36:39Speaker 1: his chest like that bicycle kick.
- 36:40Speaker 2: It was so so good. But yeah, eight point one xg.
- 36:43Speaker 1: They'd wrapped up and several hours of football before that
- 36:46Speaker 1: goal went in. But listen, you know, the fact that
- 36:48Speaker 1: the fact that he scored a wonder goal like that should,
- 36:51Speaker 1: you know, papers over some pretty big cracks I think
- 36:54Speaker 1: at Chelsea, and with the remaining fixtures looking tricky for them,
- 36:57Speaker 1: as we said, it's anfield and then it's a Spurs
- 36:59Speaker 1: team that look a lot better this weekend, fighting for
- 37:01Speaker 1: their lives, and then Sunderland away on the final day,
- 37:04Speaker 1: our guess doesn't look too bad. But I'm sitting here
- 37:07Speaker 1: with Jacques Pedro and with Palmer in my team, so
- 37:10Speaker 1: I had to take that penalty miss on the chin,
- 37:12Speaker 1: having got him on the wildcard back in game week
- 37:14Speaker 1: thirty two. I mean, he's been a massive disappointment. Jau
- 37:17Speaker 1: Pedro has been kind of okay. I mean, certainly the
- 37:19Speaker 1: bicycle kick will help because I think you've got two
- 37:21Speaker 1: bonus points on the back of that goal as well
- 37:22Speaker 1: at the weekend, so maybe he can stay. But I
- 37:26Speaker 1: am absolutely thinking about moving on Carl Palmer, particularly with
- 37:30Speaker 1: you know Saker as we mentioned before right there, you know,
- 37:32Speaker 1: in the similar sort of price bracket Chelsea versus Forest
- 37:35Speaker 1: and was this Chelsea being bad, was it Forest being
- 37:37Speaker 1: good or a bit of.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Both, better both bit of both. I think I've you know,
- 37:40Speaker 2: I don't think it doesn't really seem to matter what's
- 37:44Speaker 2: happening with Chelsea at the moment. I think the there
- 37:47Speaker 2: just seems to be a lack of game plan, of energy,
- 37:50Speaker 2: of like care for what's going on. I mean, you know,
- 37:53Speaker 2: they bring in the eighteen year old Derry, you know, Okay,
- 37:57Speaker 2: they've had some injuries to players and netto wasn't fitting
- 37:59Speaker 2: and so, but I don't know, it's getting a bit desperate,
- 38:03Speaker 2: isn't it, when you're you're rulying on an eighteen year
- 38:05Speaker 2: old to turning forces. I thought he was pretty good
- 38:06Speaker 2: actually until that horrible head injury. Wishing well, don't we
- 38:09Speaker 2: That was a nasty injury. Yeah, it was, and you
- 38:11Speaker 2: know he looks he looked good before before that happens.
- 38:14Speaker 2: But you know, it's always a bit of a worry
- 38:16Speaker 2: when you're relying on an eighteen year old to sort of,
- 38:18Speaker 2: you know, turn your fortunes around, and they're you know,
- 38:20Speaker 2: talk about teams of someone to play for. They're desperate
- 38:22Speaker 2: to get into those Champions League spots still maybe even
- 38:25Speaker 2: Europe at that this stage, given they keep losing every
- 38:28Speaker 2: every match. I think this one's easy though, from an
- 38:30Speaker 2: FPL perspective, I think if you've got any Chelsea players
- 38:33Speaker 2: other than jib Pedro.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Yourself, Yeah, that's that's absolutely what I'm thinking. Yeah, that's
- 38:38Speaker 1: my I agree with me and my Palmer to sack
- 38:40Speaker 1: a move that's I think.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's I think it's a really really
- 38:43Speaker 2: easy I think it's a really easy move that and
- 38:46Speaker 2: you know, he's if you haven't got Palmo, it's quite
- 38:49Speaker 2: difficult to get to Socca potentially because you know you're
- 38:52Speaker 2: looking at players in the round in the say price bracket,
- 38:55Speaker 2: you might have to move players around. If you can
- 38:56Speaker 2: do that move for free, I think it's it's one
- 38:59Speaker 2: of the easiest. I just think there's this nothing that
- 39:02Speaker 2: Palmer is showing to make me think he's worth the money.
- 39:05Speaker 2: There's nothing for me to think Chelsea are going to
- 39:07Speaker 2: suddenly turn it around and start picking up wins. And
- 39:11Speaker 2: Arsenal were the complete obursit of that. So yeah, I
- 39:13Speaker 2: think for you and for anyone listening, it's an easy move.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and Forrest from that perspective again, a player we
- 39:19Speaker 1: wish well where Morgan Gibbs White. I did see something
- 39:22Speaker 1: on his instagram after the game. He took it. He's
- 39:24Speaker 1: got some real stitching on his head. He took a whack,
- 39:26Speaker 1: didn't he? From Sanchez to Chelsea goalkeeper. You know didn't
- 39:30Speaker 1: play in the first half, did he? Because obviously, again
- 39:32Speaker 1: Forest's going to have their eyes on other things. He've
- 39:34Speaker 1: got a big tie against aston Villa, haven't they coming
- 39:35Speaker 1: up in the semi final in Europe?
- 39:37Speaker 2: In midweek?
- 39:38Speaker 1: So rested for the first half, comes on, gets an
- 39:40Speaker 1: assist and has to go off because I mean, concussion
- 39:43Speaker 1: protocols and everything else.
- 39:44Speaker 2: It is absolutely the right thing for him to go off.
- 39:45Speaker 1: And then postgame we saw him stitched up with it,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you know, a bit of tissue stuck up his nose.
- 39:50Speaker 1: It looked a really nasty one for Morgan Gibbs White,
- 39:52Speaker 1: so we wish him well too. Any Forest assets catching
- 39:55Speaker 1: your eye from this. He's got a couple of home
- 39:56Speaker 1: games coming up, Newcastle and then Bournemouth on the final
- 39:59Speaker 1: day with Manchester a trip to our traveling game Week
- 40:01Speaker 1: thirty seven stuck between those two.
- 40:04Speaker 2: They look pretty safe now, though, don't they.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I mean, if they get through against Aston Villa, surely
- 40:09Speaker 1: the same narrative that we've been peddling around Palace and
- 40:11Speaker 1: other teams is going to is going to be. It's
- 40:13Speaker 1: going to be the same, isn't It's going to be
- 40:15Speaker 1: Forests are going to be resting players and making sure
- 40:18Speaker 1: they don't get injured ahead of a you know, potentially
- 40:20Speaker 1: one of the biggest games of a lot of these
- 40:21Speaker 1: players' careers. So I don't know if I'm investing in
- 40:25Speaker 1: any forest Net New for game week thirty six.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and you've seen with Peer. I mean
- 40:30Speaker 2: that was the most change. It was gonna bean eight
- 40:32Speaker 2: changes to the to the to the lineup, and I
- 40:35Speaker 2: mean even selves. For example, he's in I don't think
- 40:37Speaker 2: he's playing in Europe busy. So arguably it's it's more
- 40:42Speaker 2: he doesn't even count. Uh yeah, and their reserves did well,
- 40:46Speaker 2: That's that's the main thing. So it's not like he's
- 40:48Speaker 2: going to look at and think, well, I can't try
- 40:49Speaker 2: that again. He's going to think, well, every player I
- 40:51Speaker 2: put in played out of their skin, you know, for
- 40:54Speaker 2: that match. So if we if we get through against Villa,
- 40:56Speaker 2: I'll just do that again in the next game. I
- 40:58Speaker 2: think they're too if they get through gett I think
- 41:00Speaker 2: they're too risky. They're too risky to invest in. He's
- 41:04Speaker 2: not afraid to be you know, someone like Ellie Anderson,
- 41:06Speaker 2: for example, you would think would just play every match,
- 41:09Speaker 2: and you need him to play ninety minutes to get
- 41:12Speaker 2: the deaf compoints. That's what you've got him. So if
- 41:14Speaker 2: suddenly he's a rotation risk, you can't you can't have
- 41:18Speaker 2: him in the team. So and now with Gibs, White's injury.
- 41:21Speaker 2: They're a complete no go for me. Forest, I wouldn't
- 41:23Speaker 2: have any players in the team, and if you've got them,
- 41:25Speaker 2: I'd be looking to sell. Even gives White, I think,
- 41:29Speaker 2: is I mean, is he going if they beat Villa,
- 41:32Speaker 2: is he really going to put gives White in a
- 41:34Speaker 2: position to you know, for that injury to get worse
- 41:39Speaker 2: or to set He's got to protect him. He's got
- 41:42Speaker 2: he's got to protect him now, so they're all sell
- 41:46Speaker 2: the lot.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Okay, gotcha, gotcha? All right, that's fairly conclusive. Let's go
- 41:50Speaker 1: through rattle through the rest of these games. Brentford three
- 41:53Speaker 1: west Ham neil a scoreline actually I thought flattered Brentford.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Brentford fans won't like me for that one. I thought
- 41:58Speaker 1: it flattered them a little bit. Could have on either
- 41:59Speaker 1: way this game. I thought the penalty effectively kind of
- 42:02Speaker 1: killed the game. The x G up until that point
- 42:04Speaker 1: was zero point eight six versus zero point eight for
- 42:08Speaker 1: west Ham's a fairly even game. And then eager Tiago
- 42:11Speaker 1: steps up and does what eager Torgo does best, right,
- 42:14Speaker 1: scores from the spot. That's his twenty second league goal
- 42:17Speaker 1: of the season, so his owners will be very happy
- 42:19Speaker 1: with that one. Quick comment on Brentford versus west Ham
- 42:23Speaker 1: as what did you make of the game?
- 42:24Speaker 2: Yeah, an interesting game. Like you said, I think you
- 42:26Speaker 2: know you're looking at games like that and you're thinking,
- 42:28Speaker 2: oh west Ham, webingthon to play for. You know, let's
- 42:30Speaker 2: get your bones in your Summerville's yeah, you know, get
- 42:33Speaker 2: a defender. But I think he just shows they're not
- 42:35Speaker 2: quite all there and the fixtures are tough, so no
- 42:39Speaker 2: big chances for Bowen by the way, since game week
- 42:41Speaker 2: twenty four, he's not had a big chance. Well, he's
- 42:44Speaker 2: all good golfread not non existent, so re Lan on
- 42:48Speaker 2: the assists, and he's got players around him who missed
- 42:50Speaker 2: lots of opportunities. I think I think boenes a hold.
- 42:53Speaker 2: If I still had him, i'd hold him. I think
- 42:54Speaker 2: particular Newcastle in Leeds thirty seventy eight is fine. Everyone else,
- 42:59Speaker 2: you know, I would't. I wouldn't investing. I don't think
- 43:00Speaker 2: too many people have got many other west Ham players,
- 43:04Speaker 2: maybe mavrin Apos. Would I want him for the next
- 43:08Speaker 2: three Probably not. I could see him conceding in all
- 43:10Speaker 2: those games, so he might be a cell. But yeah,
- 43:13Speaker 2: and with Brentford, Chiago's a sell for me now as well.
- 43:17Speaker 2: You know, goodness Man City, I mean Palace in thirty
- 43:21Speaker 2: seven is a right city away and Liverpool a way
- 43:24Speaker 2: in thirty eight. This is where I think you take
- 43:27Speaker 2: your punt on someone a bit lower owned. This is
- 43:28Speaker 2: what I mean. You know, it depends what you're what
- 43:32Speaker 2: you're what you're looking to do this season. If it's
- 43:33Speaker 2: just hold out and hold rank, yeah obviously you keep him.
- 43:36Speaker 2: But if you're looking to push up the ranks, this
- 43:38Speaker 2: is a chance to take out a player highly owning
- 43:40Speaker 2: and try and trying to improve it, improve it what
- 43:43Speaker 2: I'm doing, all.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Right, Newcastle's three Brighton one then, so back for Newcastle
- 43:51Speaker 1: and totally made the difference, right, Fourteen of his sixteen
- 43:55Speaker 1: FPO returns have come at home and he got an
- 43:57Speaker 1: assist from a corner and one bonus in this game,
- 43:59Speaker 1: so definitely definitely made the difference. But I noticed on
- 44:03Speaker 1: the other side of the coin, you know, JACKI and Strewood.
- 44:05Speaker 1: I think even in his own words in the postmatch interview,
- 44:07Speaker 1: was talking about I think you said he could have
- 44:09Speaker 1: had a hat trick today, right, So a good performance
- 44:11Speaker 1: from him as a Brighton owner. Go on, I'll hand
- 44:14Speaker 1: it over to you what did you make of this game?
- 44:16Speaker 2: Yeah, frustrating. I think a draw would have been fair.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Annoying to lose three to one, but yeah, credits Newcastle.
- 44:23Speaker 2: They needed to result and they and they got it.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Bruno g looks great. I think he's someone that you
- 44:28Speaker 2: could potentially buy. I think he's you know we've seen
- 44:31Speaker 2: all season. He's got so many roots to points, goals, assist,
- 44:33Speaker 2: def connon, a real just leader on the pitch. So
- 44:36Speaker 2: he's the one from Newcastle that I like. I still
- 44:38Speaker 2: think Hintchwood is the best player to own from Brighton's great?
- 44:42Speaker 2: Doesn't he last few weeks? Yeah? I mean he's frustrating.
- 44:45Speaker 2: He can't finish. He's not not a natural finisher, but
- 44:49Speaker 2: he is. His football brain is so high that he'll
- 44:52Speaker 2: get into such good positions that he'll always have the
- 44:54Speaker 2: chance to do it. And if you get into chances,
- 44:56Speaker 2: you've got the opportunity to score. So I really like
- 45:00Speaker 2: him gross as well. I thought played really well, had
- 45:03Speaker 2: a really good shop, could have had some points in that.
- 45:06Speaker 2: The one question mark I've got is really around Wellbeck
- 45:08Speaker 2: Because you look at Wolves at Home, you think that's
- 45:10Speaker 2: absolute perfect game for Brighton players. I do worry a
- 45:14Speaker 2: little bit that Ruter's been coming off the bench. He's started,
- 45:17Speaker 2: you know, in the last game. He's playing really well,
- 45:19Speaker 2: so he's definitely going to eat into Welbeck's minutes. I
- 45:22Speaker 2: wonder if he's going to take a start of him
- 45:24Speaker 2: over the next few weeks. Whether it's wolves, I don't know.
- 45:27Speaker 2: But I'm debating well Beckham and charliston this week and
- 45:30Speaker 2: I think I'm leaning towards with Charlison.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that is a concern for me, I have to say,
- 45:34Speaker 1: because I did go for well Beck a few weeks
- 45:37Speaker 1: back on the wild card, and I think defensively I've
- 45:39Speaker 1: got for Broger and I've got Van Heck as well,
- 45:41Speaker 1: and a couple of individual eras in this game, but
- 45:44Speaker 1: that's rare. We've not seen that much, if at all,
- 45:47Speaker 1: this season. But yeah, they both had an off day
- 45:49Speaker 1: in this game, no doubt about it. I think you
- 45:51Speaker 1: could point the finger at both of them for the
- 45:53Speaker 1: goals that were conceded here, or at least a couple
- 45:55Speaker 1: of the goals that were conceded. But yeah, of the
- 45:57Speaker 1: three Brighton players that I've got, I'm very happy to
- 46:00Speaker 1: have them, given that the fixture coming up is Wolves
- 46:02Speaker 1: at home and then leads away, leads probably safe, right,
- 46:04Speaker 1: and then of course it's Man United at home in
- 46:06Speaker 1: the final game of the season. I'm pretty happy to
- 46:07Speaker 1: have them for that as well for brigand van Heck.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Ok but yeah, well Beck, he got the assist, didn't
- 46:13Speaker 1: he here? Again, I'm probably not It's not going to
- 46:16Speaker 1: be a transfer. I've only got three transfers going to
- 46:19Speaker 1: this week. Say only three seems quite luxurious, I assume
- 46:21Speaker 1: compared to some FPR managers.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I get that.
- 46:23Speaker 1: But lots of things I know, right, I know we're
- 46:26Speaker 1: getting to that side of the season as we.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Want to have fun, don't we.
- 46:28Speaker 1: And I've got at least three in my head that
- 46:31Speaker 1: I've got kind of locked in around Arsenal and some
- 46:33Speaker 1: other assets that I desperately want.
- 46:35Speaker 2: And I don't think that well Beck to anybody else
- 46:38Speaker 2: and well be out there, I wouldn't be selling it
- 46:40Speaker 2: feels wrong. Yeah, okay, all right, leads three, Burnley one.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Let's finished up on this game. Then Anton Stack, we
- 46:46Speaker 2: talked about Bruno Gimmerich being back. Anton Stack back after
- 46:50Speaker 2: a three match absence. Stootter of injury, got five shots,
- 46:53Speaker 2: three chances created. He's now I get there. So this
- 46:56Speaker 2: is an interesting stat that I did a bit of
- 46:58Speaker 2: research for. Come onto the Pod.
- 47:00Speaker 1: He's now joint second for chances created this season, only
- 47:03Speaker 1: behind guess who, Bruno Fernandez. He's only made twenty six
- 47:06Speaker 1: starts Anton Stack, but the second most creative midfielder in
- 47:10Speaker 1: the game. I was an unbelievable stat. So had he
- 47:13Speaker 1: got more minutes for Leeds, you'd like to think that
- 47:16Speaker 1: you know, probably that chance creation stat and some and
- 47:19Speaker 1: therefore the you know, the appoints he's getting from assists
- 47:21Speaker 1: and bonus points, etc. He could have been a really
- 47:24Speaker 1: amazing asset for us in FPL this season had he
- 47:26Speaker 1: got a bit more consistency with his starts. But Burnley
- 47:29Speaker 1: just continue to be a team to target. I think,
- 47:32Speaker 1: right they didn't create a single big chance here. They
- 47:34Speaker 1: had nine shots that generated only zero point five to
- 47:37Speaker 1: three x G. So listen, it was kind of hit
- 47:40Speaker 1: and hope. I think a little bit from a Burnley perspective,
- 47:43Speaker 1: very much planning and preparing for next season, I think,
- 47:46Speaker 1: so we can continue to target those guys. Any words
- 47:49Speaker 1: for Leeds versus Burnley.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Just that I agree with you on Stack. I think
- 47:53Speaker 2: if you're looking for differential between the at the end
- 47:55Speaker 2: of the season. He's almost a perfect perfect player, isn't
- 47:57Speaker 2: he takes free kicks, he's on corners, gets involved in
- 48:01Speaker 2: the attack, creates those of chances, isn't he. Yeah, he's
- 48:05Speaker 2: a fantastic player. And you know, Leeds are pretty much
- 48:08Speaker 2: safe now, but I don't think Fark is going to
- 48:10Speaker 2: allow them to rest, and he's going to want to
- 48:12Speaker 2: push up as height at the table as possible, so
- 48:15Speaker 2: they got you know, I think I think he's a
- 48:17Speaker 2: good player to potentially buy field a bench boost, for example,
- 48:20Speaker 2: and you're looking for a for a cheap midfielder, I
- 48:22Speaker 2: think he's a good pick. Yeah, I totally agree.
- 48:25Speaker 1: And no, no Leeds defender got more than eight defensive
- 48:27Speaker 1: contributions in this game, So that tells you about how
- 48:30Speaker 1: much defending they had to do.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Not a lot in reality.
- 48:32Speaker 1: And Pascal Strouk, who I had in my team at
- 48:34Speaker 1: four point three, got zero defensive contributions, right, Not that
- 48:38Speaker 1: I sit there counting the defensive contributions, but you know,
- 48:41Speaker 1: a few would have been nice, Pascal, A few would
- 48:43Speaker 1: have been nice. I've never I mean that must be
- 48:45Speaker 1: pretty rare, right for a center back in a Premier
- 48:46Speaker 1: League game this season to come away with zero zero
- 48:49Speaker 1: deaf cons.
- 48:51Speaker 2: I'm sure someone knows never happen. I'm sure someone has
- 48:53Speaker 2: the stats, but I would guess it's you know, only
- 48:56Speaker 2: a handful.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe we'll get Jules and Sam and Kelly to
- 49:00Speaker 1: dig out the stats from midweight. How many defenders have
- 49:02Speaker 1: wrapped up zero deaf cons in a game this season? Stroke,
- 49:06Speaker 1: I don't think he's on his own, but it's rare,
- 49:08Speaker 1: no doubt about it.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Look at you Li giving me quizzes during the stream,
- 49:12Speaker 2: giving Juels, Sam and Killy the homework. Well, we are
- 49:18Speaker 2: back to double game meek territory again with thirty six.
- 49:20Speaker 2: We've got Man City and Palace in action twice. Cherkey,
- 49:23Speaker 2: Harland and O'Reilly we mentioned earlier, all make ups through
- 49:27Speaker 2: the top four most transmitting players. So far, Sart and
- 49:30Speaker 2: Mateta are or sixth most transferred in so people are
- 49:34Speaker 2: worried about rotation there. Jocharez and Sokka also proving popular.
- 49:38Speaker 2: If you are thinking about investing in Ours and Palace,
- 49:41Speaker 2: I would probably suggest waiting until they've played their midweek fixtures.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Then that could be could be pretty wise. Yeah, stop
- 49:47Speaker 2: those needs from jerking people. Yeah, we've got some European
- 49:49Speaker 2: football that these guys have got to get through. And
- 49:51Speaker 2: as I said before, Kelly Jewels and Sam Well, I'll
- 49:54Speaker 2: be back on Thursday. They'll be talking through their best
- 49:56Speaker 2: players to buy from the Doublin teams, as well as
- 49:59Speaker 2: whether we should folks on picking single game weekers that
- 50:02Speaker 2: might actually be a bit more sensible as we often see. Yep,
- 50:04Speaker 2: absolutely great speaking to him again, Lee as always, good
- 50:07Speaker 2: luck this week and I'll see you on the next one.
- 50:10Speaker 2: You two as good to chat. See you soon.
