- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best Music is Maggie Jadget nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And welcome to Scotty Abbey's Unfiltered Podcast. First off, Abby,
- 0:09Speaker 2: you get to go on vacation, but first we get.
- 0:11Speaker 3: To do a podcast.
- 0:12Speaker 4: I'm so freaking excited. This is my first vacation, vacation.
- 0:16Speaker 1: In six months.
- 0:17Speaker 2: That's actually really refreshing because you usually travel with a
- 0:20Speaker 2: friend group or like the girls group.
- 0:22Speaker 4: I travel a lot, so this is going to be
- 0:24Speaker 4: more of a vacation, maybe a little traveling. We're going
- 0:27Speaker 4: to Nantucket and this is a trip we've been planning
- 0:31Speaker 4: for a minute and kind of not last minute, because
- 0:34Speaker 4: we've been planning it since like May. But my grandma
- 0:37Speaker 4: got really really sick the weekend of my birthday, and
- 0:39Speaker 4: so my mom and I were supposed to go to Charleston,
- 0:40Speaker 4: and literally the day before, my mom was like.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I've got to go to Pensacola.
- 0:44Speaker 4: She's still live now, but you know, we really thought
- 0:46Speaker 4: she was going to pass away. And so my mom
- 0:48Speaker 4: was like, so I'm not going to go, and I
- 0:50Speaker 4: was like, well, I don't want to go by myself.
- 0:52Speaker 4: So I had always wanted to go to Nantucket anyway
- 0:54Speaker 4: for my birthday but it's not good in April, so
- 0:57Speaker 4: I was like, I didn't want to delay my birthday party.
- 0:59Speaker 4: So I guess it's kind of working out in the
- 1:01Speaker 4: sense that like, I'm getting to go on the trip
- 1:03Speaker 4: I want to go on anyway.
- 1:04Speaker 2: And it is a like that sounds like a really
- 1:06Speaker 2: cool place, like I never even thought on my list
- 1:08Speaker 2: of places to go Nantucket, because to be honest, I
- 1:11Speaker 2: don't even know if.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I thought it was real. It doesn't sound like a
- 1:13Speaker 3: real place. It's not like a place in a book.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It absolutely sounds and looks like a place that's not real.
- 1:18Speaker 4: And so I can't believe that I'm going to the
- 1:19Speaker 4: place that's not real, and I've been wanting.
- 1:21Speaker 1: To go for years.
- 1:21Speaker 4: There's a resort that I've been wanting to stay out
- 1:24Speaker 4: for a while. We're not staying there because it was
- 1:25Speaker 4: too expensive. It's called Chatham Bars In but it's like
- 1:28Speaker 4: so esthetic. It's like Hydraene, just central. It's right on
- 1:31Speaker 4: the beach. It's just very like Americana. Yeah, so I'm
- 1:34Speaker 4: looking forward to it.
- 1:35Speaker 2: This seems like a nice trip because it seems like
- 1:37Speaker 2: when you vacation, a lot of the times you come
- 1:38Speaker 2: back and you're exhausted because there's so much to do
- 1:41Speaker 2: and you're trying to do the entire checklist of the
- 1:43Speaker 2: city and see the sites. Does this seem more like
- 1:45Speaker 2: a trip where it's like it is sitting enjoying and
- 1:48Speaker 2: enjoying the glass of wine and just enjoying the view.
- 1:51Speaker 1: My goal is to not stress out on this trip.
- 1:52Speaker 3: That sounds awesome.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I'm usually the crazy itinerary person. I'm usually like up
- 1:56Speaker 4: all night making reservations. And because it was again it's
- 2:00Speaker 4: not last minute, because we didn't really have time to
- 2:02Speaker 4: plan it out other than like the last couple of months.
- 2:04Speaker 4: I'm just kind of going with the flow where I'm like,
- 2:06Speaker 4: I just want a obstle and I want a photo
- 2:09Speaker 4: with a hydrangea.
- 2:10Speaker 3: There it is, and that's a deal.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And I wanted to go to that resort, So.
- 2:13Speaker 3: You have to still step into it, just not stay there.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah, we're gonna do the spa there and have like
- 2:18Speaker 4: happy hours, so we're gonna get to do all.
- 2:19Speaker 1: The important things.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Just get a couple of photos there, We're gonna The
- 2:22Speaker 4: only thing that I'm upset with is I didn't know
- 2:25Speaker 4: to get to a certain restaurant reservation, Like when you
- 2:27Speaker 4: had to book because it's like a very competitive restaurant.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It's called Crew.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I didn't know in advance, so I'm like a little
- 2:32Speaker 4: bit worried that we're not gonna get to eat there.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But that's the only thing I'm like kind of stressed
- 2:35Speaker 1: out about.
- 2:36Speaker 3: You impressed me with the amount of good places, you know.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I like, I'm having a.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Good taste, is what I'll say.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'm a maximalist.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yes, I want to do the best thing in every
- 2:47Speaker 4: place I want to stay if I can afford it,
- 2:50Speaker 4: the best hotel. I want to eat at the best restaurant.
- 2:53Speaker 4: I want to wear the best outfit with the best
- 2:55Speaker 4: lighting for the best photo. And I think for this
- 2:58Speaker 4: trip specifically, I'm just gonna be a little bit more
- 3:01Speaker 4: lax about that. So even though I'll be upset if
- 3:03Speaker 4: we don't get to go to a Crew, I'm just
- 3:04Speaker 4: trying to say, I'm on vacation, yeah, and as long
- 3:07Speaker 4: as we're having a good time, that's all that.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Matters to me. And it's you and your mom going
- 3:10Speaker 3: on the strip.
- 3:11Speaker 4: It's me, my mom, my cousin and my aunt.
- 3:14Speaker 3: So fun, I know.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And what I'm even more excited about this is how
- 3:17Speaker 1: like it is.
- 3:18Speaker 4: It does feel very kismet because not only did I
- 3:20Speaker 4: want to go to Nantucket originally for my birthday anyway,
- 3:22Speaker 4: just didn't want to wait till July to go, But
- 3:24Speaker 4: now we have to wait till July because of the
- 3:26Speaker 4: whole my grandma was dying thing and my brother's wedding,
- 3:28Speaker 4: so we'd wait till after the wedding too. My favorite
- 3:30Speaker 4: characters from Love Island I think are going to be
- 3:33Speaker 4: in Nantuck at this weekend.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Really wait a second, because we haven't even talked about
- 3:35Speaker 3: Love Island.
- 3:36Speaker 1: With that whole.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 4: I mean, so Carl his family lives on Nantucket, and
- 3:41Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my god, if Carl and Naya are
- 3:43Speaker 4: on Nantucket this weekend, I'm going to shit bricks?
- 3:47Speaker 3: Could you imagine?
- 3:48Speaker 2: Like, because I'm guessing Nantucket's not big, it's tiny, So.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I'm like that's what I'm That's why I'm kind of
- 3:53Speaker 4: freaking out. I'm like, my god, we might run into
- 3:55Speaker 4: them and I'm gonna be like, how am I going
- 3:57Speaker 4: to ask them if.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I can be their third? Are you guys looking for?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Can I sit in the cup chair?
- 4:01Speaker 2: That would be nuts because those two actually seem like Okay.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Side note on Love Island, I feel like I would.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Get along with them. They see they seem like the
- 4:09Speaker 1: most level headed ones on the island.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I was gonna say, like Carl in itself on Love Island,
- 4:13Speaker 2: seemed like a normal ass.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Dude, so normal and Anya, she's from Atlanta, I'm from
- 4:19Speaker 4: I'm recently moved from Atlanta. We can bond over Johnny's hideaway.
- 4:23Speaker 3: You can bond over Carl, you can.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Bond over We could bond over Carl. Yeah, but only
- 4:27Speaker 1: if she's open to it. I'm not trying to steal
- 4:28Speaker 1: your mans.
- 4:29Speaker 3: You just want to watch.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I just want to watch, want to be in the
- 4:32Speaker 1: room where it happens. I'm like Hamilton in that dude.
- 4:35Speaker 3: He's supposed to be from a like you said, a
- 4:37Speaker 3: well off family.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they live on Nantucket. It's a very boogie place.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Like for context, we're not staying when we go there,
- 4:43Speaker 4: We're not staying on Nantucket.
- 4:45Speaker 1: We're staying on the cape. We're actually staying. This will
- 4:48Speaker 1: make it sound boogier than it is.
- 4:49Speaker 4: We're staying in the city where JFK's family has their compound,
- 4:53Speaker 4: hyennas Lord.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So it's like right where you take the.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Ferry and stuff to like go to Nantucket and so,
- 4:58Speaker 4: but we're not staying anywhere like crazy fan. See.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I mean, the trip's not cheap.
- 5:01Speaker 4: It is Nantucket, but we're not staying like at the
- 5:04Speaker 4: Roots or whatever.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, you still get to enjoy both sides of it
- 5:07Speaker 3: if you do see them. Let's say hypothetically, I'm going
- 5:09Speaker 3: to pee my pants.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gone, and the text says, let me watch.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Oh wow, would you actually go up and say something
- 5:16Speaker 2: or would you just be like creeping on your phone?
- 5:17Speaker 4: Like, oh no, I would for sure say something absolutely,
- 5:19Speaker 4: And I think I think being in this position, I
- 5:21Speaker 4: have like a better Well here's the thing.
- 5:23Speaker 1: If they're out in public, they're gonna draw a crowd.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Correct, but it's a niche crowd. I will say, like
- 5:28Speaker 3: if you know, you know, if they know.
- 5:30Speaker 4: But I mean I was reading somewhere that like Love
- 5:32Speaker 4: Island is the biggest show on TV, Like it's comparative
- 5:35Speaker 4: to the World Cup right now, So I mean, think
- 5:37Speaker 4: about that, Jesus. It's like seeing Christiano Ronaldo.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Out and about that's okay, Well, let me think if
- 5:43Speaker 2: I saw I think I would only know if other
- 5:44Speaker 2: people were looking like I know what he looks like,
- 5:46Speaker 2: but it wouldn't be like if I saw Tom Brady,
- 5:48Speaker 2: I'd be like, oh Carl or Christiano Ronaldo both actually
- 5:51Speaker 2: like I know they they're that kind of attractive where
- 5:53Speaker 2: you're like, oh wow, somebody, Yeah, you're very somebody, but
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm not sure who that somebody is, Like you could
- 5:58Speaker 2: look like somebody else.
- 5:59Speaker 4: So I think we'll be out at like a bar
- 6:01Speaker 4: and he'll probably if they're both out, they will draw
- 6:04Speaker 4: a crowd.
- 6:04Speaker 2: That would be sweet for sure, which this would be
- 6:06Speaker 2: the time period for it because the show just ended.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 6:09Speaker 4: That's all like crazy kismd it is is it's literally
- 6:11Speaker 4: like their stock has never been higher.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Gosh, I don't even know what Nantuck it like.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Nantucket's really small. There's only a couple of bars. I
- 6:17Speaker 4: think there's like gas Light, Chicken Box, the crew, the
- 6:21Speaker 4: crew back bar. There's like three places. So that's what
- 6:24Speaker 4: I'm saying. The odds of me running into them are
- 6:26Speaker 4: incredibly high.
- 6:27Speaker 2: And then you could just hear once you see where
- 6:29Speaker 2: they're at, you're like probably ten feet away from that bar.
- 6:31Speaker 1: That's what I mean. I'm just gonna be on TikTok
- 6:33Speaker 1: the whole week and being like where they at? Where
- 6:35Speaker 1: are they at?
- 6:36Speaker 4: You know what?
- 6:36Speaker 2: I was impressed with Love Island because I was looking
- 6:38Speaker 2: up this morning because I wanted to talk to you
- 6:39Speaker 2: about it. I'm very impressed with a lot of the
- 6:41Speaker 2: couples that actually either still stayed together or engaged or
- 6:44Speaker 2: like or like making it work.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Well, the show just ended.
- 6:47Speaker 3: No, no, no, I'm even talking about other seasons.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yes, says well.
- 6:50Speaker 4: And I think Love Island is a really interesting social
- 6:53Speaker 4: experiment and the sense that it encourages people really like
- 6:55Speaker 4: try out lots of people, see who you like, so
- 6:57Speaker 4: you don't like Whereas I feel like The Bachelor is
- 7:00Speaker 4: set up not for success because you're hyper focused too
- 7:05Speaker 4: much on one person and there's.
- 7:06Speaker 1: A power dynamic.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Correct.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Like when I was younger, I wanted.
- 7:09Speaker 4: To go on The Bachelor so bad, like that was
- 7:11Speaker 4: my favorite show to watch. And now I watch it
- 7:13Speaker 4: back and I get kind of icked out where I'm like, oh,
- 7:15Speaker 4: you're just making out all these women and like.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You beg for his attention.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You really got to like put yourself in a position
- 7:21Speaker 2: that's better than these other women.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Yeah, But then you look at Bachelor in Paradise, which
- 7:24Speaker 4: is the spinoff of that, and it's kind of like
- 7:26Speaker 4: the Bachelor's classier version.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Of Love Island.
- 7:29Speaker 4: And there's a lot of really successful couples that come
- 7:32Speaker 4: out of that because again, you can kind of put
- 7:33Speaker 4: yourself out there with different people.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You could actually see the playing field. And that's like
- 7:37Speaker 2: you always say, like that's real life. That's really it's
- 7:40Speaker 2: just sped up. So it's like, Okay, in real life,
- 7:42Speaker 2: you're like, all right, I'll date for a little bit,
- 7:43Speaker 2: I'll go out and maybe cook takes a couple of
- 7:45Speaker 2: years or this takes.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Like eight weeks. Yeah, it takes like five seconds right
- 7:48Speaker 3: to it.
- 7:49Speaker 4: And when you know, you know, like when you have
- 7:50Speaker 4: a connection with someone, you're like, oh, like we should
- 7:52Speaker 4: hang out for the next six weeks.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Absolutely, maybe forever.
- 7:55Speaker 2: And from the show, we did see that the one
- 7:57Speaker 2: that you said was gonna win Trinity and Bryce.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Yes they did. They won the show.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Love that for them.
- 8:01Speaker 3: They seem actually happy together.
- 8:03Speaker 4: They exchange the words I love you in Love Island.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I've never seen that happen before because I'm like, it's
- 8:07Speaker 4: one thing. It's a big deal to call somebody your
- 8:09Speaker 4: girlfriend or boyfriend on Love Island to say I love
- 8:11Speaker 4: you on Love Island.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's crazy time.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Here's where I'm actually gonna defend him on that too,
- 8:15Speaker 2: because I was like, as soon as you said that,
- 8:17Speaker 2: immediately I was like, oh, that's too soon. But then
- 8:19Speaker 2: you think about it. They're only with each other for
- 8:22Speaker 2: this amount of time.
- 8:22Speaker 4: And I'm inclined to agree with that.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Okay, it's full immersion for like straight up two months.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Six weeks, and it's really a pressure cooker too. So
- 8:31Speaker 4: it's like, I'm not shocked that they said it. I mean,
- 8:33Speaker 4: I'm shocked because it's Love Island and it's the horniest
- 8:36Speaker 4: place on Earth. But I think if you really, really
- 8:38Speaker 4: really like somebody and you feel like it's going there
- 8:41Speaker 4: and then like, yeah, say it's been six weeks, but.
- 8:43Speaker 2: What has come out since the show is ended? Because
- 8:45Speaker 2: that ended's Sunday. We're now doing this in the middle
- 8:47Speaker 2: of the week, so.
- 8:48Speaker 4: They all just flew home, so it's Wednesday. I've only
- 8:51Speaker 4: seen some of the people like at the airport. That's
- 8:55Speaker 4: really it, Okay.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So that's all the updates we have from anybody.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Like I've seen some people have gotten on Instagram, and
- 8:59Speaker 2: that's why I talked about earlier, like I saw some
- 9:01Speaker 2: people were going after the character Zach on the show.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And I love what we're calling them characters.
- 9:05Speaker 3: These are real people.
- 9:06Speaker 2: The person Zach was like, I like the dude. But
- 9:10Speaker 2: that was the thing that people are ripping them apart
- 9:11Speaker 2: because now they have their phone, they have access to
- 9:13Speaker 2: social media.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And Zach has been reported on TikTok because people were
- 9:17Speaker 4: so mad at him for not wanting to be a
- 9:18Speaker 4: girlfriend boyfriend with Kata. I'm like, we're really directing so
- 9:22Speaker 4: much anger out on Zach for a reason. And I
- 9:25Speaker 4: saw somebody on TikTok put it perfectly why people are
- 9:27Speaker 4: so angry at Zach.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm personally not I don't really care.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I'm like, I think you're kind of copping out and
- 9:31Speaker 4: I wanted to call her your girlfriend. But whatever the
- 9:33Speaker 4: thing is with the other villains on the show is
- 9:37Speaker 4: we kind of got to see them at least vocalize
- 9:40Speaker 4: accountability whether or not they're going to make changes. So
- 9:42Speaker 4: we saw a close to that arc where I feel
- 9:45Speaker 4: like we never really got closure with Zach, Like we
- 9:48Speaker 4: didn't see any kind of progression where he's like, you
- 9:50Speaker 4: know what, maybe you should be my girlfriend. So I
- 9:52Speaker 4: think people have a lot of unresolved feelings towards him because.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Got to get it out somewhere, because let's.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Be real, Kata's only saying she's okay with the exclusivity
- 9:59Speaker 4: thing and being his girlfriend because that's what Zach wants.
- 10:02Speaker 1: The second Zach asks her to be his girlfriend, like
- 10:04Speaker 1: she's gonna say yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 2: But that sucks to be in that position where you're like,
- 10:07Speaker 2: I want more, but I guess I'll just deal with
- 10:09Speaker 2: what he's putting me through right now.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I know, And she's so it's so funny because these
- 10:12Speaker 4: people now become overnight celebrities where it is funny seeing
- 10:16Speaker 4: them fight so hard for their couples in the villa
- 10:18Speaker 4: when it's like, dude, you can take Michael B. Jordan now,
- 10:21Speaker 4: like why are you going so hard for KC? Like
- 10:24Speaker 4: Michael's in the DMS.
- 10:26Speaker 2: The dating pool just got a whole lot bigger yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 2: which has to be a reason why so many of
- 10:31Speaker 2: these couples actually end up breaking up. Because as much
- 10:33Speaker 2: as I said a lot of them stay together, as
- 10:35Speaker 2: I looked at the history, a lot of them do split,
- 10:37Speaker 2: of course, and split pretty quickly afterwards. Because you got
- 10:40Speaker 2: to imagine you go on this island, you're kind of
- 10:43Speaker 2: maybe known in your.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Town, maybe a little bit.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you come off and you're like, I have millions
- 10:48Speaker 2: of followers.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Now, it's insane.
- 10:49Speaker 2: From thousands, maybe eight thousand to five thousand, two millions.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You become an overnight celebrity.
- 10:54Speaker 2: That's insane to imagine, now what God has to be
- 10:57Speaker 2: a mind blow.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I don't even think, Okay, it's fair, it's fine.
- 11:00Speaker 4: What's been the cool thing about what they've done on
- 11:01Speaker 4: After Sun this year is they've videotaped all the contestants
- 11:05Speaker 4: getting their phone back for the first time.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And I think it is the smartest thing they.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Did because I've always wondered about that experience, Like you
- 11:11Speaker 4: don't have your phone for ten weeks and you are
- 11:13Speaker 4: six weeks whatever it is, and the second you turn
- 11:16Speaker 4: your phone back on, you have a new life.
- 11:17Speaker 1: What is that?
- 11:18Speaker 4: Like, who's texting you, who's in your dms? How are
- 11:21Speaker 4: you reacting to the memes and the tweets. I'm shocked
- 11:24Speaker 4: nobody has ever done this before, because it's fascinating.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And I think the amount of money that you like
- 11:27Speaker 2: literally walk into and that's where it's different, Like it's
- 11:29Speaker 2: a certain career.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Let's say, if you're a singer, like you literally earn your.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Way into new arenas and different stadium like, and it
- 11:35Speaker 2: takes years and as you slowly evolve to that. Whereas
- 11:39Speaker 2: is this it's like you go on an island, you
- 11:41Speaker 2: come out, boom.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You have a new girlfriend and a new life and
- 11:44Speaker 1: a new income.
- 11:45Speaker 3: What do you do with that?
- 11:46Speaker 4: It's insane And you can see all these brands in
- 11:48Speaker 4: their comments and it's like, oh, this person might get
- 11:49Speaker 4: a Chipotle deal. And so I was reading this morning
- 11:52Speaker 4: on my Instagram that like agents are literally in the
- 11:56Speaker 4: middle of a brawl trying to sign all these contestants.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Absolutely and then who do you like?
- 12:01Speaker 2: That's where it's so hard as you hear that persons
- 12:03Speaker 2: like who do you pick? Who could you trust? Where
- 12:04Speaker 2: do you put your money? Like who do you surround
- 12:07Speaker 2: yourself with? That's actually gonna care about you because now
- 12:09Speaker 2: you are the investment exactly.
- 12:11Speaker 3: That's nuts to think of.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So anyway, congrats to them.
- 12:15Speaker 4: I really hope I get to I have a love
- 12:16Speaker 4: island sighting in Nantucket. Talk about love island. I'm going
- 12:20Speaker 4: on Nantucket Island. That's the love island.
- 12:22Speaker 2: See. I think I'm gonna go ahead and put money
- 12:23Speaker 2: down that you're gonna see them out about.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Here's the thing, now that I've said it, now that
- 12:26Speaker 4: I put it out there, I'm not going to where
- 12:27Speaker 4: the hell else.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Are they going to be?
- 12:30Speaker 2: You're right, Yeah, even if they're in their house, you
- 12:33Speaker 2: can probably see in their window, like an as weird
- 12:38Speaker 2: as it is, like, I think it's gonna be a
- 12:39Speaker 2: good sensation that you'll be able to find them out
- 12:42Speaker 2: and about at a bar.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I hope.
- 12:43Speaker 4: So, so see you guys at Chicken Box. You guys
- 12:45Speaker 4: put it on the universe. Someone hiring Etsy Witch. I
- 12:47Speaker 4: want to meet them.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Follow along on Instagram on Instagram.
- 12:50Speaker 2: What a weekend because Abby and I are passing like
- 12:52Speaker 2: two ships in the night. I just came back from
- 12:54Speaker 2: a trip and I was telling on the last podcast
- 12:56Speaker 2: I was going out to Colorado to see my best
- 12:58Speaker 2: friend and a whole reason for this trip is I
- 13:01Speaker 2: wanted my girlfriend to meet my best friend and Diplo
- 13:04Speaker 2: and Diplo Diplo was like the platform that it all
- 13:08Speaker 2: came around because Diplow does these five k's and it's
- 13:10Speaker 2: I had no idea what to expect.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Diplo was the environment for love this weekend.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Well it's these five k's and then it's a festival,
- 13:18Speaker 2: and we walked up and I swear to you, I
- 13:21Speaker 2: couldn't have imagined a bigger freaking five k in festival
- 13:24Speaker 2: in my life.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I think everybody in Denver.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Was there, literally everybody, Like it was a park and
- 13:29Speaker 2: all you saw was people. I'm thinking nine thousand people
- 13:31Speaker 2: were out there to run a damn five k.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Well, this five k was so big that Scotti ended
- 13:35Speaker 4: up meeting my brother's wife's sister.
- 13:37Speaker 3: That's what's so funny.
- 13:38Speaker 1: My brother's wife's sister.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I my best friend.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Okay, so my best friend's girlfriend has a brother brother married.
- 13:47Speaker 3: This is your brother.
- 13:48Speaker 4: This is too complicated. My brother's wife is from Bua Beach.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Scotty is from Bureau Beach.
- 13:52Speaker 3: We grew up together with the same people.
- 13:54Speaker 1: They grew up together with the same people.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It's crazy, and now they're overlapped. Now families are literally overlapped,
- 13:57Speaker 2: which is I never thought that. When you're telling me
- 13:59Speaker 2: like who your brother was engaged to, I was like, oh,
- 14:01Speaker 2: that's cool. And then to find out that those stories,
- 14:04Speaker 2: I was like, what the heck? So yeah, Abby's now
- 14:06Speaker 2: family ran the same five K that I ran.
- 14:08Speaker 3: I know it's family. Now I'm actually in your family now.
- 14:10Speaker 1: There see what?
- 14:11Speaker 3: But it was so cool to.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Be on this trip, and the whole reason was to
- 14:14Speaker 2: go ahead and introduce my girlfriend to my best friend
- 14:17Speaker 2: before we went public and before we did the whole
- 14:20Speaker 2: like hard launch, which we'll get to in a second,
- 14:22Speaker 2: because we almost didn't get to that moment. With how
- 14:24Speaker 2: the trip challenged us. I was joking on the show
- 14:26Speaker 2: with Abby like last week, I'm like, well, you know,
- 14:29Speaker 2: we're going on our first trip together. There are bound
- 14:31Speaker 2: to be some tests. We've been dating now for.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Like five months.
- 14:36Speaker 1: When did you start March?
- 14:38Speaker 2: We went on our first date at the end of February,
- 14:40Speaker 2: so March March I feels so long.
- 14:43Speaker 4: It was one, two, three, four, So you're going on five.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Going on five, and so much has happened in that
- 14:49Speaker 2: time period. But one of the things that we both
- 14:50Speaker 2: agreed on is like, yo, we don't need to rush anything,
- 14:53Speaker 2: like let's meet our people, Let's have our families actually
- 14:56Speaker 2: get to meet each other, and then we'll go ahead
- 14:59Speaker 2: and make sure that we post and do a hard launch.
- 15:01Speaker 2: But we were getting ready for that, and we knew
- 15:03Speaker 2: in that time period, we haven't had many tests, but
- 15:05Speaker 2: we're now at that time period where the tests are
- 15:07Speaker 2: going to start coming for the relationship.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Traveling will test you.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I'll tell you what you like that. I learned that
- 15:12Speaker 2: from my group, my gay friends and girl. As soon
- 15:15Speaker 2: as I ordered the Uber, I realized I fed up
- 15:18Speaker 2: because I didn't give us enough time to get ready.
- 15:20Speaker 3: God, so our flight was at seven. Okay. TPA is
- 15:24Speaker 3: the easiest airport you will ever fly out of.
- 15:26Speaker 1: It's one of the easier ones.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yes, you literally could go get through security and get
- 15:30Speaker 2: to your gate.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I'm going to say in under seven minutes.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I would.
- 15:33Speaker 4: It's a good locals airport. Correct, it's easy if you're
- 15:36Speaker 4: a local. I will say the first time I went
- 15:37Speaker 4: to Tampa as not when I was living in Atlanta.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I was flying back through.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Oh horrible because it's such a weird setup of you've
- 15:44Speaker 4: never been to TPA.
- 15:45Speaker 1: You you finally you figure out where the escalators are.
- 15:47Speaker 4: You go with the escalators, yes, because the bottom floor
- 15:50Speaker 4: it's checking, and then you have to go up the escalators.
- 15:52Speaker 4: So once you get once you figure that out, then
- 15:54Speaker 4: you go upstairs and then you're in this big.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Like mall food court.
- 15:58Speaker 4: It's just a big circle and in every corner is
- 16:00Speaker 4: a different train, and so you go to the train.
- 16:03Speaker 4: It sounds simple when I say it, but when you're
- 16:05Speaker 4: when you're traveling, it's your first time, you're like, where
- 16:08Speaker 4: do I go?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Where do I go? Okay, so I have to go
- 16:09Speaker 1: to Terminal E.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Then you gotta find Terminal EA's corner, and then you
- 16:12Speaker 4: buzz your phone to get into Terminal ease line to
- 16:15Speaker 4: get on a train.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Then you take a train to the terminal.
- 16:18Speaker 4: And I've always wondered what if they change your terminal,
- 16:21Speaker 4: Like if I'm in Terminal E and they change my
- 16:23Speaker 4: gate and I gotta gotta go to Terminal B, then.
- 16:25Speaker 3: What do I do. That's a great question because you go.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Through security when you when you get on the train,
- 16:30Speaker 4: You get on the train and it takes you to security,
- 16:33Speaker 4: and then security takes you to the terminal. And what
- 16:36Speaker 4: I don't like about Tampa setup, and I'm not trying
- 16:38Speaker 4: to hate on TPA.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I know this is nothing'll get some salty people.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Because listen, I did the same thing with Atlanta and
- 16:43Speaker 4: now I like miss the Atlanta report, Like my oh
- 16:45Speaker 4: my god.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, like the first time in Atlanta, it's so stressful.
- 16:48Speaker 3: But then you do it a couple of times, you're like, actually,
- 16:50Speaker 3: make it set up.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Atlanta is not a hard setup. It's a stressful setup.
- 16:53Speaker 3: That's right, because it's a lot of people.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Yeah, whereas Tampa, it's not a hard it's it's simple
- 16:59Speaker 4: but not easy.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Okay, valid, does that make sense? It's allowed to say that.
- 17:02Speaker 4: And there's no food options, whereas the Atlanta airport there
- 17:06Speaker 4: are so many food options.
- 17:07Speaker 3: It's definitely bigger. It's a bigger hub.
- 17:09Speaker 1: There's a PF chains.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Okay, we have a PF change, it's not in one
- 17:13Speaker 3: of the terminals.
- 17:13Speaker 4: That's what I'm trying to say is you were supposed
- 17:15Speaker 4: to eat. Like if I'm going on a big flight,
- 17:16Speaker 4: I'm just supposed to show it to the airport.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I think every terminal has an air has a restaurant,
- 17:22Speaker 2: but only one restaurant.
- 17:23Speaker 3: The other ones are just quick stops.
- 17:25Speaker 1: And those restaurants are always full.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah, like the Columbia delicious but full, and you's got
- 17:29Speaker 2: to sit there. You gotta get through the airport earlier,
- 17:31Speaker 2: or the other one Rumfish delicious, but you gotta sit there.
- 17:34Speaker 2: And so the other ones are a little more fast
- 17:35Speaker 2: and casual. But as I ordered the uber, I realized, like,
- 17:38Speaker 2: I'm so cocky when it comes to TPA. I was like,
- 17:40Speaker 2: we could literally get through in seven minutes, So like,
- 17:42Speaker 2: why am I going to rush us getting there? Well,
- 17:44Speaker 2: this is our first time traveling together, and so I
- 17:46Speaker 2: didn't give my girlfriend enough time to even get her
- 17:48Speaker 2: stuff together. So as the uber is pulling up and
- 17:50Speaker 2: I had it set up to like come at like
- 17:52Speaker 2: five forty five, OK, she's putting her stuff together, she
- 17:55Speaker 2: started to get frantic, and I'm like, oh my god,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I fed up.
- 17:57Speaker 1: But she knew the flight was at seven, But I
- 18:00Speaker 1: ordered the.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Uber without telling her, so like I already like, but
- 18:03Speaker 2: I was doing so casual.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I'm gonna I'm gonna take your side on this for
- 18:07Speaker 4: a second. Should you have told her that the uber
- 18:09Speaker 4: was coming?
- 18:09Speaker 2: Absolutely, I should have stopped our chilaxing way earlier.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Was she not packed?
- 18:14Speaker 4: She was?
- 18:15Speaker 2: She was packed, but like I was like just hanging
- 18:18Speaker 2: on the couch for too long without giving her she
- 18:20Speaker 2: needs time to get ready. She just needs time to
- 18:21Speaker 2: get her stuff together, Like at least make sure we're
- 18:24Speaker 2: not forgetting anything. We're not leaving anything behind.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair, So that I didn't do right.
- 18:28Speaker 2: So I was like, oh my god, I've literally okay,
- 18:31Speaker 2: we're good. Let's do last sweep through the house the
- 18:34Speaker 2: ubers here. I think we got everything. Let's calm down,
- 18:37Speaker 2: we're good. We get into the uber and literally the
- 18:40Speaker 2: test begins. As soon as we get in the suber.
- 18:43Speaker 2: We get the uber from hell No, the guyim the
- 18:45Speaker 2: driver that one doesn't shut.
- 18:47Speaker 3: The fuck up.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Oh I hate that two is a racist piece of
- 18:51Speaker 5: h Yes, your girlfriend's correct.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So all of a sudden, it's this white man who's older,
- 19:02Speaker 2: and he just starts going on this.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I don't even know how we got on the topic.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Oh.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I think we talked about how we were flying to Denver.
- 19:08Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, I used to love Denver, and a
- 19:10Speaker 2: bunch of immigrants started showing up over there, and I'm like,
- 19:12Speaker 2: holy shit, here we go. We're like three minutes into
- 19:15Speaker 2: this ride. Now my girlfriend, friends and family, some of
- 19:18Speaker 2: them are immigrants. Some of them are literally moved to
- 19:21Speaker 2: the States and like they've started their life here. And
- 19:24Speaker 2: so that's a very very delicate topic. Yeah, because I
- 19:27Speaker 2: think we all know someone that's at least at one
- 19:29Speaker 2: point we've all moved here. Yeah, and then two to
- 19:32Speaker 2: have someone that's like not, I guess just talking bad
- 19:35Speaker 2: about immigrants does not rub right, and it didn't do
- 19:38Speaker 2: it in that car.
- 19:38Speaker 3: And so immediately my girlfriend's.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Like, yes, my people as in like, hey, sir aka,
- 19:44Speaker 2: this is not the route you want to go down.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to start talking about it.
- 19:47Speaker 4: But he had to have known that, Like, honestly, I
- 19:49Speaker 4: think sometimes those type of people just like are looking
- 19:51Speaker 4: for a fight.
- 19:52Speaker 2: But what's fascinating is, and my girlfriend brought this up
- 19:55Speaker 2: to me, She's like, I think it's because obviously you're
- 19:57Speaker 2: a white man.
- 19:58Speaker 3: So this happens all the time.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Like since I'm a white guy, some white guys think
- 20:02Speaker 2: they could just say things and be.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Like oh yeah, yeah, this is fine.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 2: And then like literally, my girlfriend I look at each
- 20:08Speaker 2: other like, oh my god, Okay, he thought this was
- 20:10Speaker 2: a safe space something like he was about to going around,
- 20:12Speaker 2: And so what was fascinating is we tried to change
- 20:15Speaker 2: the conversation probably twenty times. He had this little lama
- 20:18Speaker 2: on the dash and I was like, oh my god,
- 20:20Speaker 2: Like as he's starting to go down, there's a horrible
- 20:22Speaker 2: route of politics and immigrants and all these things. I'm like,
- 20:26Speaker 2: the Lama, tell me about the Lama.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Lama's immigrated from. Where are Lamas from?
- 20:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Do we have Lamas?
- 20:34Speaker 3: Not here in the States.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I feel like we do.
- 20:37Speaker 3: No. No, this was like I think he went to
- 20:39Speaker 3: what he say is like, so now he's okay.
- 20:40Speaker 1: With foreigners as long as they're cute and fluffy.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Well, then he gets on this route of well, my
- 20:45Speaker 2: girls brought it back, and I was like, your girls, Oh,
- 20:47Speaker 2: so you're a wife or your kid. He's like my baby,
- 20:49Speaker 2: mama and my kid, and so I'm like, cool, I
- 20:51Speaker 2: got an in your kid.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Tell me like, oh is your kid?
- 20:54Speaker 5: Like?
- 20:54Speaker 3: How old? What kind of school?
- 20:56Speaker 4: You should have started lecturing him on premarital sex lord,
- 21:00Speaker 4: all these kids being born outside of wedlock.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Well, everything I brought up he brought right back to
- 21:04Speaker 2: the very toxic conversations that I'm gonna just be like
- 21:07Speaker 2: him and I we would not see the same eyed eye. Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 2: and so I talk about school and he's like, yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 2: I was gonna let her go.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Into public school.
- 21:14Speaker 2: And then the schooling system these days it starts ranting
- 21:17Speaker 2: about teachers. My girlfriend was a substitute teacher for a while,
- 21:20Speaker 2: and we have a lot of friends that are teachers,
- 21:22Speaker 2: and so we're like just sitting there boiling. But I'm like, look,
- 21:25Speaker 2: it's not that far of a drive. Yeah, until we
- 21:27Speaker 2: get on the bridge. Oh no, traffic, the worst traffic
- 21:29Speaker 2: that's ever been on the Howard Franklin.
- 21:31Speaker 3: It's just stopped. It's a freaking parking lot.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm my go, did you miss your flight?
- 21:34Speaker 3: So we're sitting there.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I already booked the uber to get us to our
- 21:38Speaker 2: gate in seven minutes, and I was gonna time it
- 21:39Speaker 2: up perfectly. Now we're sitting in traffic, and so I'm
- 21:43Speaker 2: watching the time as our arrival slowly goes up, and
- 21:46Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, our flight we bored at
- 21:48Speaker 2: seven thirty five. Our arrival now starts to say seven
- 21:51Speaker 2: ten oh seven to eleven oh no, seven seventeen seven twenty,
- 21:55Speaker 2: And for some reason, our driver still does not stop talking,
- 21:59Speaker 2: still always find his way back to the most toxic
- 22:01Speaker 2: conversations you could imagine. So I'm just holding my girlfriend's
- 22:03Speaker 2: hand and I'm just we're gonna be okay, We're not
- 22:05Speaker 2: gonna miss their flight. But then it started going so
- 22:07Speaker 2: late that I literally started getting on my phone.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I was like, we're gonna miss a flight.
- 22:10Speaker 2: No, this guy, even though the traffic on the right
- 22:12Speaker 2: side seemed to be going fast and he wanted to
- 22:13Speaker 2: stay on the left for some reason. I'm like, I'm
- 22:15Speaker 2: not gonna make a comment, and I'm definitely not gonna
- 22:17Speaker 2: get in argument with him, because I was like, who knows,
- 22:19Speaker 2: this guy might might drive us off the bridge?
- 22:21Speaker 1: He could.
- 22:22Speaker 5: I literally thought that, Abby, I swear to you. I
- 22:24Speaker 5: was like, if he might, like your girlfriend was an immigrant.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I was like, we're just gonna keep quiet, but he
- 22:28Speaker 3: would just keep talking.
- 22:29Speaker 1: He's got ice on the phone. I took you on
- 22:31Speaker 1: this bridge.
- 22:31Speaker 3: You have nowhere to go, gets you trapped cornered.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Helicopter comes down and I'm like looking.
- 22:36Speaker 2: At other flights because I'm like, okay, well this sucks.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I stressed out my girlfriend. I didn't give her enough
- 22:40Speaker 2: time to get ready. We're now in an uber driver
- 22:41Speaker 2: from hell. We're now stuck in traffic, and we're about
- 22:43Speaker 2: to misser O a flight. I was like, I don't
- 22:45Speaker 2: know what else we're gonna get tested on to God. Well,
- 22:47Speaker 2: finally traffic clears up, we find our way heading on
- 22:51Speaker 2: waight to the airport and we get there right in
- 22:53Speaker 2: time to be able to get their security and then
- 22:55Speaker 2: get to our gate, and we got about two minutes
- 22:57Speaker 2: before it starts. Bored, I was like, thank the Lord,
- 22:59Speaker 2: let's get I thought, okay, and my girlfriend and I
- 23:02Speaker 2: looked at each other. We got on like uber like,
- 23:03Speaker 2: oh my god.
- 23:04Speaker 3: It's happening. We're being tested. Look at all these tests
- 23:07Speaker 3: that are coming on our travel.
- 23:09Speaker 2: But this is where I give us so much credit
- 23:10Speaker 2: and I love that we've grown in the years, like
- 23:12Speaker 2: us in the previous version of ourselves would not have
- 23:14Speaker 2: handled that situation. Yeah, we both acknowledged that us now
- 23:17Speaker 2: gone through a lot of work, We've matured in many ways.
- 23:20Speaker 2: We're able to look at each other, we laugh, we
- 23:22Speaker 2: let it go, we keep moving forward. And then we
- 23:24Speaker 2: get into the line to get a damn sandwich. And
- 23:25Speaker 2: this is where I'm like what. I literally look up
- 23:28Speaker 2: at the sky and I'm like, I'm just laughing. I'm like,
- 23:29Speaker 2: what the hell, universe, Like, where do you want to
- 23:31Speaker 2: test this? So many times there's only a couple options,
- 23:33Speaker 2: Like Abby said, with the restaurants, so the only options
- 23:36Speaker 2: that I could have went to in this terminal were
- 23:37Speaker 2: Panda Express or pop Belly Sandwiches or whatever.
- 23:40Speaker 4: That's the thing is the thing about TPA is they
- 23:42Speaker 4: give you two options, and they give you two of
- 23:44Speaker 4: the worst options.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I was not about to get on the flight after
- 23:47Speaker 3: eating Panda Express.
- 23:48Speaker 4: There is a Chick fil A, but it's in like
- 23:49Speaker 4: the main terminal. So if you're like worried about getting
- 23:52Speaker 4: through security, you're like, I gotta skip past the Chick
- 23:54Speaker 4: fil A.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not gonna rush and sit in that line,
- 23:56Speaker 2: because that was a line too, so I was looking
- 23:58Speaker 2: for the quickest but also the one was not gonna.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Upset my tummy.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Terminal E is my biggest op.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Well, I went into pot Belly Sandwiches because it had
- 24:04Speaker 2: the shortest line. Apparently that was a mistake because I'm like,
- 24:07Speaker 2: why is this going so long? Because the sandwich guy
- 24:10Speaker 2: was moving near see that, Like what is it in
- 24:12Speaker 2: Zootopia or the sloths are at the telephone?
- 24:14Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like being so slow. Intentionally he's like someone's
- 24:17Speaker 4: missing their flight today.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Like it felt like it was intentional. I'm like, bro,
- 24:21Speaker 3: I get it. You don't get paid enough.
- 24:23Speaker 2: You might have had a tough day, but for the
- 24:25Speaker 2: love of God, throw the chicken on the bread and
- 24:26Speaker 2: let's go, like, let's get it done. But then it
- 24:29Speaker 2: gets even worse because the guy that rang up my meal,
- 24:31Speaker 2: who actually took my meal order, he gets in a
- 24:34Speaker 2: fight with the guy that's making the sandwiches. He starts
- 24:36Speaker 2: yelling at.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Him, Bro, you gotta hurry up.
- 24:38Speaker 2: So he stops doing his job to yell at this guy.
- 24:40Speaker 2: And I'm like, guys, this is not the time. Our
- 24:42Speaker 2: flight is literally boring. I came here just because I
- 24:44Speaker 2: wanted a sandwich because I haven't eaten all day. And
- 24:46Speaker 2: now the guy that's making the sandwiches decides to go
- 24:48Speaker 2: even slower out of spite of the guy that took
- 24:52Speaker 2: the order.
- 24:52Speaker 3: God.
- 24:53Speaker 2: And I'm like, i try to like make some jokes
- 24:54Speaker 2: with him. I'm like, I don't even remember his name,
- 24:56Speaker 2: like Joshua, Like Joshua, what a day? You know, Like,
- 24:58Speaker 2: oh my God, trying to show him some loves, some empathy.
- 25:00Speaker 2: He literally looks at me, He's like, yeah, goes down.
- 25:03Speaker 2: It feels like he's in slow motion, just grabbing every
- 25:05Speaker 2: top and slowly putting it on. And I'm like, okay,
- 25:09Speaker 2: I give my girlfriend my car. I might just pay
- 25:11Speaker 2: for the sandwich like before, so as soon as it's done,
- 25:14Speaker 2: we could get on the damn flight.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Finally he hands me the sandwich.
- 25:17Speaker 2: We hop on the flight and we're able to finally
- 25:19Speaker 2: breathe for the first time.
- 25:20Speaker 4: M hmm.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Nobody's next to us.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Delay on the tarmac that for.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Real flight canceled, and then everything started to finally turn up. Okay,
- 25:27Speaker 2: where we got nobody in our flight, we got the
- 25:29Speaker 2: entire road to ourselves, and we finally got to just
- 25:31Speaker 2: breathe and realize that. I think we made it through
- 25:33Speaker 2: all the tests of this trip, and I will say
- 25:36Speaker 2: I think that was the hardest part of it, that
- 25:38Speaker 2: first initial travel.
- 25:39Speaker 1: No fights okay, no bad tears, kay.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Nobody yelled at each other, love, all wins for the
- 25:45Speaker 3: trip going there.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And you got see diplow and my brother's wife's.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Sister and your brother's wife's sister and a weird story
- 25:51Speaker 2: of events.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Well, I'm so glad that you guys are still together.
- 25:54Speaker 3: I am impressed because.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Together and it was a nice little stable because then
- 25:59Speaker 2: we got to harm launched the relationship.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yes, that was the idea.
- 26:02Speaker 4: So your thought process was, she's met my friends, met
- 26:04Speaker 4: my family, We're gonna stay together.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Hard Launch, Hard Launch. It was time.
- 26:08Speaker 2: It was because we both realized that we got to
- 26:10Speaker 2: meet each other's people, and that's what we talked about.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I was like, I want you to meet my people
- 26:13Speaker 2: before they see it on Instagram. Yeah, I want to
- 26:15Speaker 2: meet your people before they just see some random.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Guy people collab or did you do two separate posts?
- 26:20Speaker 3: We did a collab. Okay, we wanted to make it.
- 26:22Speaker 1: You guys are so married.
- 26:23Speaker 2: It's so funny because we're like, we want your people
- 26:25Speaker 2: and my people to come together.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Are you guys gonna get a joint Instagram handle? Next?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Who knows Scott and Breonda?
- 26:31Speaker 3: Well, that is the hard launch.
- 26:32Speaker 2: So if you're on Instagram, and I will say, there's
- 26:34Speaker 2: so many people on Instagram right now from especially this
- 26:36Speaker 2: podcast that we're commenting, I want to say thank you
- 26:39Speaker 2: because your comments just filled us with so much love
- 26:41Speaker 2: that we're like, oh my god, she's just as gorgeous
- 26:43Speaker 2: as you all talk about on the podcast.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Oh my god, Abby, you weren't lying now, y'all think I'd.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Be exaggerating if your a girlfriend was busted, I'd be like,
- 26:51Speaker 4: she's so cute. I just love she has such a
- 26:54Speaker 4: big heart. She looks like she gives great hugs.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It was so sweet to see so many of the
- 26:58Speaker 2: comments because you don't know, and it felt funny because
- 27:00Speaker 2: we laughed at each other was We're like, we're really
- 27:01Speaker 2: doing a collab post acting like people care, but we're like, no, I.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Think the reality is like no, the people care. People care, and.
- 27:07Speaker 2: We've talked about it enough and we have public lives,
- 27:09Speaker 2: so we want people to be a part of this,
- 27:11Speaker 2: and so as we're putting it together, we're like, I
- 27:12Speaker 2: wonder what it's going to be like. I think it's,
- 27:14Speaker 2: for the most part, gonna be positive. I think there
- 27:15Speaker 2: will be a couple comments that are like maybe not
- 27:17Speaker 2: the most.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Positive, but we'll see who would say that. You'll be
- 27:20Speaker 3: surprised anything.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Mine was the worst.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Mine has the most amount of likes on that's I
- 27:26Speaker 4: have like fifty likes on your on your hard launch
- 27:28Speaker 4: right now.
- 27:28Speaker 3: It was the first comment I saw.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, Brionda like, let's go look
- 27:32Speaker 2: at the comments and see like how people like celebrate
- 27:35Speaker 2: Abby's he's not gay.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Question mark, question mark he likes women.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Absolutely love that because it like for us, I'm like,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I don't know how people are going to react on
- 27:43Speaker 2: her side, my side, any side, And I was like, ah,
- 27:45Speaker 2: this is so funny. Yeah, and so that if you've
- 27:48Speaker 2: heard the stories. My girlfriend's name is Breonda Vegas. She
- 27:51Speaker 2: is one of the feature reporters on Florida Tonight for
- 27:53Speaker 2: Fox thirteen.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Here the hottest women in Southwest have mercy.
- 27:58Speaker 2: And you see it when you see it on Instagram
- 27:59Speaker 2: and some of the comments that I really appreciate when
- 28:01Speaker 2: people are talking about either smile or how happy we look. Yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 2: and it's like, oh my god, you guys, actually you
- 28:06Speaker 2: could see the happiness.
- 28:08Speaker 3: It's not just a post photo. It's a moment.
- 28:11Speaker 1: The love is rating off, y'all.
- 28:13Speaker 4: So did you just post all the selfies in photos
- 28:15Speaker 4: you've taken in the last six months?
- 28:17Speaker 2: We had, like it seemed like a little bit of
- 28:19Speaker 2: a chapter from every month. Yeah, but the most recent
- 28:21Speaker 2: that we did in Denver when we're in Colorado, and
- 28:23Speaker 2: then like the beginning when we're like second date going
- 28:26Speaker 2: out to the beach, and that was I love being
- 28:28Speaker 2: able to show like, oh, this is what we've been
- 28:30Speaker 2: up to for the past couple of months. So hey,
- 28:32Speaker 2: yes this is new on Instagram, but we've been at
- 28:35Speaker 2: this for a little bit. Yeah, so we wanted to
- 28:37Speaker 2: bring you into our life.
- 28:38Speaker 3: That was fun. And I was joking with Abby.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I was like, the one comment that always seems to
- 28:42Speaker 2: pop up is like, oh.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Scotty likes his Latinas.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You do have a type.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I guess I do. I guess I do.
- 28:47Speaker 4: I think it's impressive, Like you found all the hot
- 28:49Speaker 4: ones and you just dated them. Let me pick all
- 28:52Speaker 4: the hot Latinas in Southwest Florida and we're going to
- 28:54Speaker 4: date them all.
- 28:55Speaker 2: It's very it's very flattering when people are like texting
- 28:58Speaker 2: me and they're like, oh my god, scot like you.
- 29:00Speaker 2: When I have somebody from one of my groups that
- 29:02Speaker 2: I'm in, they're like, scott you play. I'm like, what,
- 29:06Speaker 2: I know, she's beautiful.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I know.
- 29:08Speaker 3: I mean, you know, like we think they're impressed. Well, thanks, peeps.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I really appreciate it.
- 29:13Speaker 2: And I was super excited to be able to share
- 29:14Speaker 2: that because now I could talk about, you know, our stories,
- 29:17Speaker 2: I could share it on Instagram, and then people from
- 29:20Speaker 2: our lives could actually see what would be not to
- 29:22Speaker 2: the one thing that I'm like, oh crap, I didn't
- 29:24Speaker 2: tell like my extended family, like my grandparents, and my cousins.
- 29:28Speaker 2: They don't know, Well, I just haven't talked to him
- 29:30Speaker 2: in months.
- 29:30Speaker 1: If you don't know, now you know, now you know,
- 29:32Speaker 1: well they did.
- 29:32Speaker 3: They saw it on Instagram and Facebook, so now they know.
- 29:35Speaker 3: So I was like, Oh, I'll catch you all up
- 29:37Speaker 3: very soon.
- 29:37Speaker 4: I'm so jealous of you getting to do the hard launch,
- 29:39Speaker 4: Like I can't wait to hard launch somebody.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I think because we were laughing because you joked with us.
- 29:43Speaker 2: You're like, are you guys doing marketing meetings? And we're
- 29:45Speaker 2: like kind of yes on how we want to do
- 29:47Speaker 2: this when we want to do this.
- 29:48Speaker 4: Break is a pr relationship with Tampa Bay Media.
- 29:51Speaker 1: She's a reporter, he's a radio host.
- 29:53Speaker 3: They just want to boost each other's careers. Yeah, you're
- 29:56Speaker 3: gonna do the same thing.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Oh my god, I'm gonna be so obnoxious. Absolutely, you
- 29:59Speaker 4: guys will know I'm gonna be. I'm gonna post like
- 30:02Speaker 4: arm photos, fingernail maybe fingernail holding him across the table
- 30:07Speaker 4: from me.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But I don't know. I just think at this point
- 30:09Speaker 1: I've just accepted that, like some people are meant to
- 30:11Speaker 1: be alone. I think that's me.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Famous last words from everybody that's ever like met somebody.
- 30:17Speaker 3: They're like, I just.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Actually one of my really good friends had that exact
- 30:20Speaker 2: same sentence, and then here comes husband.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah he's a dude though.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Oh that's true. It doesn't work the same.
- 30:26Speaker 1: It doesn't work the same.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Well, a lot of things have happened.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I'm hoping that on your trip you get to meet
- 30:30Speaker 2: Carl and Anaya and you get to go in car
- 30:32Speaker 2: Naya that's their nickname.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Yeah, people have been saying hashtag team Carnaya.
- 30:37Speaker 3: I guess it can't be a Nile.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Let's not do that.
- 30:42Speaker 3: It sounds too much like the other thing. Anyway.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Well, it's going to be back Abby. Enjoy your trip,
- 30:47Speaker 2: enjoy everything with Nantucket. Do you follow along when you
- 30:49Speaker 2: go on these trips that actually vacation. Do you actually
- 30:51Speaker 2: put like the stories up that we could follow along
- 30:53Speaker 2: with you, or is it like you just completely.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Off the grid?
- 30:56Speaker 1: Hard launching Nantucket?
- 30:57Speaker 3: Hell yeah, I want to see everything Nantucket has to off.
- 31:00Speaker 1: You see several hydranges please, because.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I couldn't even picture one in my mind.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Right now, you'll see them, I can't ready.
- 31:06Speaker 2: We'll follow along at the Abbey Murphy at Scott Tavlin
- 31:09Speaker 2: to see the hard launch and thank you for all
- 31:10Speaker 2: the love and the comments and for the ratings on Spotify.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Let's see if we got any new comments.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Everyone go comment like a rainbow or something.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Well, that'd be swetweet. Why a rainbow? People were intrigued
- 31:23Speaker 3: with the last one. I love.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Oh there we go, somebody said for the last one
- 31:27Speaker 2: because I told Abby I was going on my birthday
- 31:29Speaker 2: trip to key West and instead of flying, you could
- 31:32Speaker 2: take a ferry.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Did you to take a ferry from Fort Myers to
- 31:34Speaker 3: key West?
- 31:35Speaker 1: You can?
- 31:35Speaker 3: You can.
- 31:36Speaker 1: That's got to be a miserable fairy. But it's through.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Okay, Well, how long is the fairy? Like three hours?
- 31:40Speaker 1: Oh, that's really not bad.
- 31:41Speaker 3: It's not.
- 31:42Speaker 2: And if you do it with the right people, that's
- 31:43Speaker 2: where I think it would be fun. You got a bar,
- 31:46Speaker 2: you've got a fairy. You're just hanging out.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Actually, that's not bad at all. It depends on how
- 31:50Speaker 1: much it is, though.
- 31:51Speaker 3: I think it's one hundred and eighty bucks. Okay, now
- 31:53Speaker 3: I'm just gonna fly that. That's what I was thinking too.
- 31:55Speaker 2: I was like, dang it, the flight seems very reasonable
- 31:57Speaker 2: and it's cheaper, and it's only thirty minutes. I might
- 31:59Speaker 2: as well get to the key all right, Thank you,
- 32:01Speaker 2: rate Love subscribe all the things back back when Abby's
- 32:04Speaker 2: back from Nantucky.
