- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. I believe we're embarking on
- 0:08Speaker 1: the two most somber days in our country, September tenth
- 0:13Speaker 1: and September eleventh. September tenth, because it is true thousands
- 0:18Speaker 1: of people innocently going to bed the night before the
- 0:23Speaker 1: horrible attacks in two thousand and one, not knowing their
- 0:27Speaker 1: fate the next day, and then of course September eleventh,
- 0:32Speaker 1: the day of the horrible tragedy ninety eleven. So here's
- 0:37Speaker 1: my question to really the political powers that be and ABC,
- 0:45Speaker 1: why have a debate tonight? Why not just let the
- 0:49Speaker 1: country prepare to honor twenty three years later. Instead, we're
- 0:54Speaker 1: all wrapped up and what Trump's gonna do, what Kamala
- 0:57Speaker 1: is gonna do? Tonight's the night. This should be a
- 1:00Speaker 1: somber remembrance time for the thousands who died, for the
- 1:05Speaker 1: first responders that gave their lives and are still dealing
- 1:10Speaker 1: with after effects, those that are alive from nine to eleven.
- 1:14Speaker 1: There shouldn't be a time to debate and pregame a
- 1:17Speaker 1: debate on the evel of one of the most somber
- 1:21Speaker 1: and horrific and evil days in our lifetimes, in our history.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I am tired of listening to all the radio about
- 1:33Speaker 1: how what does Trump have to do? What does Kamala
- 1:36Speaker 1: have to do? There shouldn't even be anything like this.
- 1:41Speaker 1: The eve before we honor September eleventh. We all know
- 1:48Speaker 1: what happened September tenth, two thousand and one. Well, I
- 1:53Speaker 1: guess President Bill Clinton said, well, I could have stopped
- 1:55Speaker 1: been and then the next day the Twin Towers are
- 1:57Speaker 1: attacked in America's attack twin Hours are brought out by
- 2:00Speaker 1: evil terrorists. I don't like the eve of nine to
- 2:07Speaker 1: eleven being the night that a debate is happening. I
- 2:14Speaker 1: don't like the tenuous position I feel like we're in
- 2:17Speaker 1: heading into September eleventh. I don't like that these plea
- 2:22Speaker 1: deals for the masterminds of nine to eleven was even allowed,
- 2:28Speaker 1: and that the person that allowed them is still on
- 2:31Speaker 1: payroll at the Pentagon as far as I know. I
- 2:39Speaker 1: still don't like that three years ago we went if
- 2:42Speaker 1: we ripped the wounds of nine to eleven again by
- 2:47Speaker 1: having a horrible withdrawal from Afghanistan. I don't like any
- 2:50Speaker 1: of that, and I guess I don't like the fact
- 2:53Speaker 1: that none of this will be addressed tonight at the debate.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I don't feel like it. I don't feel like Kamala Harris,
- 2:59Speaker 1: the Vice President who was part of the withdrawal plan,
- 3:04Speaker 1: will be asked anything like that. I don't feel like
- 3:10Speaker 1: she'll be pressured about the Pentagon cutting a plea deal
- 3:14Speaker 1: that Lloyd Austin at seven say no, no, we're not
- 3:16Speaker 1: doing this. Because if they were going to do a
- 3:23Speaker 1: debate the night before nine to eleven, then ask the
- 3:28Speaker 1: current administration their role in making sure nine to eleven
- 3:31Speaker 1: families don't feel any safer. They've ensured that nine eleven
- 3:38Speaker 1: families will continue to feel the wounds, the horrors because
- 3:44Speaker 1: they've let the plea deals go without any fight back
- 3:49Speaker 1: except for Secretary Austin. But why didn't Biden speak about it?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Why didn't Kamala Harris speak off out against that. We're
- 3:57Speaker 1: heading into the eve of September eleventh having a ripped
- 4:00Speaker 1: wound from twenty three years ago, and that debate tonight
- 4:06Speaker 1: will not heal any wounds, will not answer any questions,
- 4:10Speaker 1: and if they do, I'll be happily surprised. But this
- 4:15Speaker 1: is such a distraction from the actual remembrance of what
- 4:20Speaker 1: tomorrow is is that by design to distract us from
- 4:27Speaker 1: what nine to eleven is and what's happening tomorrow as
- 4:33Speaker 1: the families once again gather to remember their slain loved ones.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Those masterminds should be riding in jail or even got
- 4:49Speaker 1: in the chair at this point, not given plea deals.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Afghanistan should still be a peaceful place where they were
- 5:00Speaker 1: rebuilding after twenty three years. Instead, it's now run by
- 5:05Speaker 1: the Taliban, who's getting who's suppressing their people and oppressing
- 5:10Speaker 1: their people. And I don't give a crap if Trump
- 5:15Speaker 1: invited the Taliban to the White House, I don't know
- 5:17Speaker 1: why he did. And I guess you had a withdrawal
- 5:21Speaker 1: plan as well. But the Biden minisiration executed a terrible plan.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It wasn't strategic, it was awful. It killed thirteen of
- 5:30Speaker 1: our own. So you want to talk about closure, This
- 5:34Speaker 1: will never have closure. Even if the admissioners were doing right,
- 5:38Speaker 1: this would never have closure twenty three years later. You
- 5:41Speaker 1: can never give these families any kind of closure. You
- 5:45Speaker 1: can give them answers, which Brett Eaglson is asking for
- 5:48Speaker 1: time and time again of nine to eleven justice, but
- 5:52Speaker 1: you can never give them closure. But the activities of
- 5:57Speaker 1: the Biden administration have given them more heartache than closure
- 6:02Speaker 1: or answers. I'm sure people objected to the Trump meeting
- 6:09Speaker 1: the Taliban. I was scratching my head to that as well.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But then the Bid administration comes in and completely rips
- 6:16Speaker 1: open a wound that families of nine to eleven still
- 6:19Speaker 1: have to deal with twenty three late years later. This night,
- 6:25Speaker 1: September tenth, twenty twenty four should not be a pregame
- 6:29Speaker 1: show for a big debate, as if it's with the
- 6:31Speaker 1: Super Bowl. Tonight should be a night where families literally
- 6:36Speaker 1: prepare to grieve once again on the twenty third anniversary
- 6:40Speaker 1: of nine to eleven and nothing more. So, really, shame
- 6:47Speaker 1: on ABC, can I say shame on both campaigns and
- 6:54Speaker 1: shame on the Convention on the committees for agreeing to
- 6:58Speaker 1: this The night before September eleventh. Tuesday September tenth is
- 7:09Speaker 1: also a sacred day. You know why because it brings
- 7:12Speaker 1: back awful memory, sad sadness that these families got to
- 7:18Speaker 1: hold their loved ones one more time and didn't even
- 7:20Speaker 1: know it. They should be left alone to grieve tonight.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The whole nation should be left alone to grieve tonight
- 7:33Speaker 1: in preparation for a very solemn day that is September eleventh.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You want to have one leg up for the families
- 7:42Speaker 1: of nine to eleven. You don't do a debate tonight.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You don't have this whole rigamarole pregame show than the debates.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It's a super Bowl. That's not what the families are
- 7:54Speaker 1: looking for or need. They need us to know they
- 7:58Speaker 1: are still suffering. They need us to know that they're
- 8:05Speaker 1: still hurting, and we need them to know we stand
- 8:14Speaker 1: by them. Not a freaking camera in Philadelphia about to
- 8:19Speaker 1: do a debate. I literally have to. I feel like
- 8:24Speaker 1: I have to shut off everything today because of the
- 8:26Speaker 1: Super Bowl atmosphere about a possible lonely debate. This could
- 8:32Speaker 1: have been done on the eighth on the seventeenth of September,
- 8:37Speaker 1: or the eighteenth of or even the nineteenth of September,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but you choose September tenth. Why these are the two
- 8:48Speaker 1: most somber days in our history, in our lifetime, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: I would say in our history, because we've had to
- 8:58Speaker 1: have We have the loved ones that have to relive
- 9:02Speaker 1: being with their families the night before the awful attacks
- 9:06Speaker 1: of terror. Yes, September tenth is as massive as September
- 9:12Speaker 1: eleventh in the grieving process for the thousands of families
- 9:18Speaker 1: who have lost loved ones. And I don't know why
- 9:22Speaker 1: President Trump or Kamala Harris didn't recognize that when this
- 9:27Speaker 1: was first mentioned. I don't know why VP Harris and
- 9:33Speaker 1: former President Trump couldn't just say, you know what, this
- 9:37Speaker 1: is not a good time. This is the night before
- 9:39Speaker 1: nine to eleven. We all have to be in prayer
- 9:42Speaker 1: as we are about to embark on this solemn anniversary. Instead,
- 9:51Speaker 1: I feel like this debate takes away from what today
- 9:53Speaker 1: really is and what tomorrow really is. Because if you
- 9:57Speaker 1: thought the debate talks in a today, oh no, it'll
- 10:02Speaker 1: be the postgame show tomorrow. Imagine that September eleventh the
- 10:06Speaker 1: most solemn day in our lifetimes and there is in
- 10:10Speaker 1: our history, and we have to deal with debate recap then,
- 10:21Speaker 1: instead of truly standing with the families and remembering those
- 10:27Speaker 1: who were innocently killed, those who put themselves in the
- 10:32Speaker 1: line of duty after the attacks occurred, when the planes
- 10:35Speaker 1: at the buildings, the Twin Towers, and then and then
- 10:42Speaker 1: the UN General Assembly starts today as well. Yeah, later
- 10:47Speaker 1: in the month the big dignitaries are coming in. But
- 10:51Speaker 1: you're telling me they couldn't wait either to blast an
- 10:59Speaker 1: ally of Israel. They couldn't wait a few days before
- 11:07Speaker 1: bringing up I'm sure members for those on eastward forty
- 11:09Speaker 1: fourth Street and elsewhere from the ga of what that
- 11:12Speaker 1: day meant to around Midtown as well, around the EU
- 11:15Speaker 1: went as well. Nobody could wait to just let the
- 11:21Speaker 1: twenty third anniversary of ninety eleven occur and the grieving
- 11:27Speaker 1: and the remembering occur. They had to shove all this
- 11:31Speaker 1: down our throats tonight and then tomorrow with the debate recap.
- 11:37Speaker 1: That's not how September eleventh should be honored. We should
- 11:40Speaker 1: not be talking any kind of politics on September eleventh,
- 11:44Speaker 1: let alone a debate, let alone a debate. One of
- 11:50Speaker 1: these two or both of them, President former President Trump
- 11:54Speaker 1: and Vice President Harris should have looked at the calendar,
- 11:57Speaker 1: been more sensitive and said, you know what, we're not
- 11:59Speaker 1: doing this. We are not going to interfere with the
- 12:03Speaker 1: remembrance of nine to eleven. That's why I say again,
- 12:08Speaker 1: shame on President former President Trump, Shame on VP Harris
- 12:11Speaker 1: for agreeing to something of such magnitude the day before
- 12:15Speaker 1: the most solemn anniversary. I feel like, ever, it shouldn't
- 12:27Speaker 1: be happening tonight. Today. September tenth and September eleventh should
- 12:36Speaker 1: be recognized as two days of mourning, because I would
- 12:41Speaker 1: show we're really mourning with the families who had said
- 12:45Speaker 1: good night to their loved ones the night before on
- 12:47Speaker 1: September tenth and find out they're killed in a terrorist
- 12:53Speaker 1: attack on September eleventh. These are two somber days. These
- 12:58Speaker 1: are two days of mourning. And neither presidential candidate who
- 13:05Speaker 1: wants to be elected in America could think like that.
- 13:11Speaker 1: The network couldn't think like that, The commit the r
- 13:16Speaker 1: n C, DNC couldn't think like that. We're a few
- 13:24Speaker 1: hours away and I'm not at all hyped about this
- 13:27Speaker 1: big debate because it should be a big night of
- 13:32Speaker 1: remembrance and letting the families of nine to eleven grieve
- 13:38Speaker 1: once again, not shove politics into all of this mess,
- 13:46Speaker 1: and there is a mess. Just just let it breathe.
- 13:51Speaker 1: They should just let it breathe. I'm Alex Garrett. We
- 13:59Speaker 1: need to have one leg up for the families of
- 14:01Speaker 1: nine to eleven, and the best way to do it
- 14:04Speaker 1: is one of these candidates in the next few hours
- 14:06Speaker 1: say you know what, I can't do this tonight. I
- 14:10Speaker 1: can't take away the grieving process from the grieving process
- 14:15Speaker 1: of nine eleven families. I cannot. That would really be
- 14:20Speaker 1: a strength of courage, a show of courage to postpone
- 14:25Speaker 1: the debate and say we're gonna let the loved ones
- 14:29Speaker 1: and the families of nine to eleven grieve today and
- 14:34Speaker 1: tomorrow September eleventh. I'm Alex Garrett. May God bless our
- 14:44Speaker 1: country and may our candidates make the right decision before
- 14:48Speaker 1: it's too late and we are really in for the
- 14:52Speaker 1: most side show debate, sidetracking us from the most solemn
- 14:58Speaker 1: day in our lifetime.
