- 7:23[SPEAKER_16]: Charlie Kirk guy and they say you got shot yesterday.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, that was a different broadcast outlet where they reacted that way.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_16]: Anyway, the FBI is releasing information and seems to be increasingly on top of it.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_16]: uh... and after a minor miscule as night but they quickly corrected but anyway uh... they released what they think is a picture of a person of interest looks college age uh... mail black tactical gear sort of that type of thing they also recovered a weapon of the uh... thirty out six uh... rifle
- 8:10[SPEAKER_16]: which, um, you know, all the idiots who were out there speculating yesterday.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, it was a, you know, no, that's what it was.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_16]: Sing up bold action.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_16]: Um, you know, I needed one shot.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_16]: That's all he took.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_16]: Uh, if you do happen to have information, you can call 1-800-Call FBI.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_16]: Not that you're going to see this guy down on the square today.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_14]: But, um,
- 8:39[SPEAKER_16]: That's an interesting so I don't know hopefully they catch him anyway the whole thing with him Charlie Kirk You know here there is a tide of the North country in all of this Well, let me tell you what it was last winter remember the talk of a special election to Phil's staphonic seat Nina these candidates coming out
- 8:58[SPEAKER_16]: and then it all fell apart when Staphonic had to pull her nominations to the UN.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_16]: Well, there was a guy named Josh Parker.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_16]: I think he had a maple syrup better prized up in the canton area.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_16]: And Mr. Parker had been on Shark Tank when we let show, trying to get capital for us out.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_16]: I don't think that worked out.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_16]: But he was friends with Charlie Kirk, and had gone to Mr. Kirk's wedding or vice versa.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_16]: Charlie Kirk got married a couple of years three years ago.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_16]: Anyway, they knew each other pretty well.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_16]: Mr. Kirk was on the internet.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_16]: Last winter promoting Josh Parker's candidates, Canada C for the Republican nomination for Congress in the, staphonic district.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, I realized water towns and I didn't that district, but it's still as of interest.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_16]: Um, and so that was the local tie.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_16]: Any heard it here, of course, because
- 9:49[SPEAKER_16]: we tell you the you know i'm not a newsman i'm not a licensed newsman but we do tell you things you might not hear otherwise yep that's a great thing about the hotline uh... seven five five twelve forty the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today uh... you know as far as curb mr. Kirk and he was very effective in organizing younger voters gets a lot of credit for mr. trump's good showing last year
- 10:20[SPEAKER_16]: You would hold these college rallies in the belly of the beast in many cases.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_16]: But the reason they killed him is he was good at what he did.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_16]: So they killed him.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_16]: He was effective.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_16]: That's why they tried to kill Trump last summer.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_16]: And you know, it's not a party.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_16]: It's not a Republican Democrat thing.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_16]: Remember Malcolm X?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_16]: It was a black secessionist minister.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_16]: Islamic home, but back in the sixties, and he started the moderators were a message in the mid sixties a bit, so they killed him, shot him dead in a church.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, and of course everybody knows what happened to the Dr. Martin Luther King.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, now he had already accomplished a lot, but they didn't want him accomplishing anything more, so they killed him.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_16]: It happens.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_16]: It happens.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_16]: But there won't be another Charlie Kirk.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_16]: He was certainly an interesting and creative individual.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_16]: When I got some text messages, I got a text message from... Oh my god.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_16]: Somebody sent me a picture of one of my...
- 11:47[SPEAKER_16]: promoting the candidacy and so and incidentally I just heard of Alaska's add-on here and thank you.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_16]: Thank you for advertising early.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_16]: I think there's some merit to that.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_16]: I used to think all you buy all the ads in the last week to try to with early voting and everything else.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_16]: Most of the decisions have been made by October 20th or 25th.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_16]: I think getting the message out early is a good idea.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_16]: And I'm not just saying that because we're in the business of advertising.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_16]: I'm saying it because I think it's probably a good idea.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_16]: Anyway, these calendars, I'm looking at it and I said, I got a word of some.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_16]: I got a word of some for 2027, you know, something's got to happen.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_16]: I got a text today from, you know, our good friend, Shannon.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_16]: And.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_16]: But she's pining over the fact, you know, her property at 545 arsenal.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_16]: You still be zone commercial or something, but now everyone has changed all the zoning all the planners and the council just nodded their head and gave away their authority to pass judgment on projects which were stupid.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_16]: Now you've got some unelected planning commission or authority or something.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know what it is.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_16]: But they changed all those owning, and now Shannon's property is urban mixed use, apparently needs a variance for what she has there if she wants to sell it.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_16]: They did that to me, they put me in some property called neighborhood mixed use.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_16]: So I got to read that to you.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_16]: It was just incredible, let me read that.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_16]: And I was just, I read the zoning code, just a description of my zone.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_16]: The neighborhood mixed use, district creates vibrant corridors on arterial and collector roads of the edges of residential neighborhoods that allow for a mix of residential dwelling units commercial services parks and community facilities.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_16]: These are generally found on radio streets with higher traffic volumes.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_16]: The district reflects the walkable and historic nature of water towns neighborhoods.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_16]: commercial uses in this district reflecting neighborhood scale design and compliment the dense residential neighborhoods yeah so they don't want bars and you know they want to try to apparently according to Shannon somebody wanted to buy her property they went down to city hall and city hall said well why should try renting something out further out arsenal words zone differently only cow
- 14:30[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_16]: I liked the way things were, you know, if you had a neighborhood that, a neighborhood bar, remember those?
- 14:36[SPEAKER_16]: That was a good idea, or a little grocery store, or whatever else, and I realized then something's changed, but I feel bad for Shannon.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_16]: She wants an office and opening on the planning board.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_16]: Well, the mayor appoints to that, and the planning board, I don't even know who they are.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_16]: but they have a lot of power.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_16]: And it's like that situation I told you about yesterday that Circle K convenience store, that has a Wendy's in it and all that, out in the town of Watertown, they wanted to build it.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_16]: They thought they were going in to get their approvals Monday night and then they were told, well, you gotta wait another month.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_16]: We gotta resolve this sewer issue.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_16]: Which means they're gonna make the people put in a holding tank, because they can't have it got the sewer capacity.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_16]: That's what's gonna happen.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_16]: So you got a potential $8 million project according to people in the know.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_16]: And, you know, it's being held up and the government said, well, it's just way, you know.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_16]: I also was reading in this, I don't know, they're not going to like me.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_16]: They're not going to like me.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_16]: But to get approval for these things, I remember when I opened back in 85, long time ago.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, it was a zone neighborhood business.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_16]: It had been a longstanding bar, just, you know, already Kelly and I got the building, got her license, and opened down.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_16]: And then when we could afford it, bought the house next door, knocked it down and made it a part, he did get a demolition permit and a real, you know, contractor to do it.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_16]: So,
- 16:21[SPEAKER_16]: There wasn't any questions.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_16]: You didn't have to have traffic flow studies and, you know, as they're glare on the street or light migration to a neighbor or any of that stuff, you just did business and they're just making a tougher and tougher.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_16]: And now I read this morning in the times they're getting requests from people interested in pop shops in the city.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_16]: One of the concerns of one of them was that there's too many pop shops here already.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_16]: and be tough to compete with a license store.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_16]: And that's probably true.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_16]: But you know, you just get the feeling that they're gonna do everything they can to make it difficult and virtues they can a lot of it.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_16]: So maybe a good.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_16]: We need to elect some people with agendas.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_16]: I've come to that realization.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_16]: You can't just say I'm a nice person, I'm a visionary, I'm a this or that.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_16]: Gotta have some people with agendas.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_16]: Like we're gonna change things.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_16]: Now I see Mr. Velazquez and his ad mentions
- 17:20[SPEAKER_16]: You don't think you do, or what the media should do.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_16]: Instead of listening to people who say, oh, that's a dictatorship.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_16]: Why not talk to somebody or know something about politics and everything else?
- 17:33[SPEAKER_16]: I would go up to Sarah and Acleic and see Clyde Rabadou.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_16]: Who's he?
- 17:39[SPEAKER_16]: Well, John Moore would know who he is.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_16]: Former mayor of Platsburg, where they had strong mayor, and then he moved to Sarah and Acleic and was mayor there for 12 years.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_16]: That's a village.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_16]: smart guy very uh... personable and i'd love to talk to him about it media could get a nice perspective on it instead of all of this while you can't do that what are you just gonna end up elected clif holdy as mayor and then no need
- 18:06[SPEAKER_16]: They had that up there and I elected Clyde Rabbit who's arguably smarter than a lot of the people that we've had, you know, he's, he's, I tend to sit in managers and so on.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_16]: So, I don't know, just a thought.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_16]: I thought about the council race.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_16]: Well, we'll talk about the council race a lot between now and November.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon here on the air.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_16]: Hello.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_16]: The goal is to talk.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_16]: It's a talk show.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_16]: What are you doing?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_16]: What are you doing?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_16]: Is this a butt dial or what are you doing to me?
- 18:47[SPEAKER_16]: It must be a butt dial.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I don't want to hear from her butt.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 18:55[UNKNOWN]: Good afternoon, Mayor.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_18]: What's up?
- 18:57[SPEAKER_18]: You're talking about the strong mayor form of government.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_18]: Right.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_18]: A few years ago in the town of Henderson.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_18]: I believe it's a talent, village.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_18]: They elected them, a gentleman who ran the local mechanic job his name escapes me.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_18]: But they had brought, let's say, as brought.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_18]: Charges against this man for parking cars, two coasts for the road.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_18]: And he got elected mayor or mayor.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_18]: superintendent whatever they have down there's former government and people were really surprised now they only kept them in office for four years mm-hmm.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_18]: But, um, he, uh, they didn't think he was the brightest back in, in the box, but he did a fairly good job and he didn't do anything to harm the harm the people so right.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_18]: If Cliff only got elected there's still checks and balances
- 20:01[SPEAKER_16]: Well, there are, and I don't think that would happen.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_16]: I think that's a red herring.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_16]: You know, you got this crowd who's the... Just trying to... Yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_16]: They got their little, on elected government.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_16]: And they like to do things, and then, you know... Yep.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_16]: That's all it is.
- 20:17[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_16]: They're just trying to scare the people.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_16]: Exactly.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_16]: They've been doing it for years.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_16]: Thank you.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_24]: Good afternoon.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_16]: Samantha, you're talking this time.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_16]: Well, what are you waiting for?
- 20:34[SPEAKER_16]: You're stemming?
- 20:34[SPEAKER_16]: Are you getting your stemming check pretty soon?
- 20:38[SPEAKER_24]: Well, I hope so.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_24]: I'm going to call the bank and find out.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_16]: Well, the governor of Oklahoma said they're coming out pretty soon.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_16]: In fact, she was speaking to a group of people in a, one of those, you know, black churches out somewhere in the state and she warned the people don't go to the liquor store with your stemming check.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_24]: I like these glasses that I'm looking at right now, but one that says, shut up, liver, you're fine.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_24]: Or is it too early for wine?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_16]: Never too early.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_16]: Never too early.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_16]: Okay, anything else you want to say?
- 21:16[SPEAKER_24]: I mean... I... Yes, I do.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_16]: I... Hey, what do you think of Charlie Kirk?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_24]: Who?
- 21:29[SPEAKER_24]: I always thought it was sad.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, okay.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_16]: I was going to say, with that first answer, you could have been in local news.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_24]: Um, I know.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_24]: I, um, yeah, well, if you wanted the ones that was in 911, could I ever think?
- 21:47[SPEAKER_16]: No, no.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_16]: He's a conservative activist, very popular in college campuses who was assassinated yesterday out in Utah.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_24]: Oh.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_24]: What a assassinated what so what that means killed Okay, that's the same thing.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, yeah, shot him in the neck.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_24]: I didn't know the whole story, but that is awful I've heard it last night in Bible study, and I Yeah, he was very very Very faith based and all of that so well all right.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_16]: Let me move on to some more callers But you have a good one Sam already already.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah, yeah
- 22:30[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, you're on the hotline.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_16]: Hello?
- 22:37[SPEAKER_16]: No.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_16]: Another person who... Didn't realize it's a talk show, so you talk, huh?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_16]: Alrighty.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_16]: 755-1240, the phone number.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_10]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_10]: Today's the 24th anniversary of the attack on 911 in the US.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_10]: And I was surprised to learn when I was listening to some of the memorial comments and all that were on the media today.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_10]: I was surprised to learn that the mastermind behind 9-11 is still being held at the... Yep, no.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_10]: Yep, no.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_10]: And I was very surprised to learn that I can't pronounce his name, you probably know.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_10]: And I just wanted to share that piece of...
- 23:23[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I know, it's one of those type of names.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_16]: Anyway.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_10]: Still, uh, still there.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_10]: Let's get them.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_16]: Alright, thank you.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_16]: Bye now.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, Ron here.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_17]: I may air how are you today.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_16]: You're right.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_16]: What's up?
- 23:38[UNKNOWN]: You don't want to talk to them about like the gleaming.
- 23:40[UNKNOWN]: If there's something gleaming on the road.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_17]: When you're talking about getting permits and doing whatever.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_17]: Have you noticed?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_17]: I don't know if you come down this much.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_17]: What you come up, Dan, do is you have the main street.
- 23:50[UNKNOWN]: If you look straight across.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_17]: I don't know if that's there for it's like, so you can see just something coming out of the tunnel or what it is, but I tell you when the sunset and that right if blind you, I don't think that mirror should be there.
- 24:13[UNKNOWN]: Are you familiar with that mirror?
- 24:15[SPEAKER_16]: Uh, you know, I've driven by there a lot.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_16]: I didn't happen to notice it, but I accept your account of it.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_17]: But when you brought that up regarding the gleaming of the road, it was something that I thought might throw your inch dead.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_17]: It's a real shame about Charlie dying.
- 24:38[UNKNOWN]: I mean, it's just one of those things where you never thought something like that could happen to the society.
- 24:43[UNKNOWN]: Just fear of craziness.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_15]: I know.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_15]: I know.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_16]: No, no, I'm just trying to keep track of college and I don't have a separate producer, so that's everything.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_16]: So I rely on you to say what you want to say and then we'll move on.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_16]: Okay, I guess we'll move on.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_16]: Okay, thank you.

- 28:22[SPEAKER_26]: The news and talk authority, W-E-T-A-M-2040.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_26]: It's all you need to know.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_16]: All you need to know, yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_16]: Boy, I don't want to give this to Shannon if she has to read this.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, boy.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_16]: You know, all these requirements for what you got to do.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_16]: adequate, yeah, I agree, there's a need for planning, but pedestrian traffic, the appearance and adequacy and sufficiency of off-street parking and loading, well, location or arrangement size, design and general site compatibility of buildings, lighting and designs, only.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_16]: An adequacy of storm, the problem with all this stuff and it goes out out in the townships too, and everything is that it's only disregarded by a lot of people.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_16]: unless you happen to ask or get caught by somebody.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_16]: So, it was like out in the town of Watertown, when they wanted to put that store in the, in the other conditions of the sewage problems that the circle case store, which is out by the industrial park or will be, they wanted to put what they call a, you know, a high sign or something like that.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_16]: One of those high signs you can see on the inner state, the advantage of business.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_16]: That makes sense right around an inner change, right?
- 29:46[SPEAKER_16]: We've all looked at those signs when traveling around the country and you see a gas sign or whatever But they wouldn't do it because the town planning board they all live a probably on the Kaguan road and if we don't want those Well, it's nowhere near your house And meanwhile, right up the road That a lot of struck stuff has one of those high sites, but they're in a different, they're across the imaginary line in the town of Pamellia Where they got weed, they're selling weed there too So, you know, it's just all of its kind of silly
- 30:15[SPEAKER_16]: And again, I understand the need for certain things that we regulated in life.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_16]: I'm not a total libertarian, but oh, yeah, you got to have protection of adjacent or neighboring properties against noise, glare, odor, or objectionable features.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, what could those be?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_16]: Then they want usable open space for play areas and informal recreation.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_16]: What's that mean?
- 30:43[SPEAKER_16]: overall sensitivity to the environment, oh my god, yeah, and they want to get into your landscaping desires, what kind of like P and E's instead of a two years or whatever, you got to run it by the planning department and then the planning commission, whatever the heck they are.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_16]: So I don't blame Shannon for being upset over a property on the Arsenal Street, but
- 31:12[SPEAKER_16]: It's not 1985 anymore, Shannon.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_16]: Can't just be doing what you want.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_16]: You've got to kiss the ring.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_16]: Yep.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_16]: A big government.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_16]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_16]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today, anything you want to talk about.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_16]: There's a lot of national news.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, I don't know if I want to get into it all.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_16]: We already talked about the, one of the things I mentioned,
- 31:40[SPEAKER_16]: and I saw an article about it so it's not original thought of my part but the legacy media the so-called gatekeepers remember the gatekeepers you know they decide what you had to see and hear and everything because using community standards and their own standards and a modicum of decency because remember using years ago the water's on daily times published a photo of a burned body hanging out a window I think it was on West Main Street or something.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_16]: And boy, that criticism that went on for years.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_16]: People still talk about it for you all the time.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_16]: You can remember that they could, you know.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_16]: So they don't, it was always felt in the mainstream media.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_16]: You got to control, like if there's a car accident, you're not going to show the gruesome stuff.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_16]: Like when I had that fight out behind case with that girl got the stuffing beat out of her channel seven said no the public doesn't need to see this but the public had already seen it on the internet same thing with the afternoon with Charlie Kirk how did we find out the situation well was all I didn't watch the video but you know Russ that talked to Russ in the afternoon he was telling me all about the you know which way the head went and what that meant all of this and
- 32:51[SPEAKER_16]: But the major networks wouldn't show that same thing with the young lady from Ukraine who got knifeed.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, they didn't show the actual knifeing, but it was all over the internet.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_16]: So a lot of people get their news that way, rather half-hazard way, but anyway, it is 9-11, 24 years ago we were, oh my god, looking at all of that.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_16]: But it's kind of passed into history, it has a way of doing that.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_16]: And things that were like touchstones and you had to acknowledge them and all of that nobody knows anybody in public school right now who's even alive.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_16]: And at that time, so it's been 24 years.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_16]: And the pictures we've all seen in before and for a younger generation knows clouds of dust coming up in the lower Manhattan.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_16]: You know.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_16]: or the passengers who said, let's roll and that's all part of our generation.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_16]: So I don't think I bet you today.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_16]: There's not one mention of 9-11, probably, in the schools or anything like that.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_16]: But the same thing happened to Pearl Harbor and D-Day, they all sort of descend into the abyss through the dust-by-bit of history, whatever.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_16]: Not that they aren't important in some ways,
- 34:15[SPEAKER_16]: no event they don't think we don't talk about the charge of the light brigade anymore some of the other things that went on the hundred years war whatever it was this little bits of history that stick out but most people don't even know what he too brutal means anymore through time whatever he had
- 34:35[SPEAKER_16]: It's, there's just a lot of things not taught anymore, a lot of things have gone the way of the rotary phone and eight tracks and all that stuff, everything changes.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_16]: So 9-11.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_16]: There's no observance here in Watertown.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_16]: There's more fuss in everything over various niche holidays that we have.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_16]: Well, it's the way it is, but we remember 9-11.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_16]: It was a horribly scary moment.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_16]: And you shouldn't remember who was behind it.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_16]: especially if you live in New York City and avoiding the mayor's race.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_20]: Hi, Jeff, I got a 9-11 question for you.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_16]: Sure.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_20]: How many buildings collapsed in New York City?
- 35:19[SPEAKER_16]: Well, there were the two trade center towers, but I think there were some other buildings next to it that were either heavily damaged or fell down.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_20]: So there was three.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_20]: the car one tower two and then building seven which was a Solomon brothers building You don't find that suspicious Not particularly no I was in by senior year in high school in second period class when the class was stopped and they rolled in the television on a cart And when we were watching it the first report of the Pentagon
- 35:58[SPEAKER_20]: was that there was an explosion near the helipad.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_20]: That was the first thing the news is reporting.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_20]: That was the only time I've ever heard that news report.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_16]: But I've watched a lot of news over the years and there's a lot of initial reports where something's wrong.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_16]: How many times have received these shooter incidents where they say they're always a second shooter or there isn't?
- 36:20[SPEAKER_20]: So in 2001,
- 36:22[SPEAKER_20]: The biggest thing on Discovery Channel was the demolition of building mainly this casino in Las Vegas.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_20]: They were blowing them up.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_20]: Right.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_20]: So when the first power fell, I turned right to my classmate and I said, it looks like a demolition.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_16]: I used to watch this cover channel on cable back then, and that was one of the shows that I used to well, yeah, it is, the way it fell straight down and in and upon itself, instead of like tipping over, you know, if the Eiffel Tower would tip over, if you did something like that, I don't know.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_20]: When they, when they changed the 911 system over in the 90s, yeah, baby, yeah, yeah, why
- 37:08[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_20]: I remember when the mask show on TV was all the dancing celebrities the mask and then all of a sudden we were mandated mask so you had to understand the pre-programming and know the the suspect is not in Guantanamo Bay the people who did this are live in life.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_20]: loving my and okay still doing that so many of them are you know a lot of misinformation that's going around you about nine eleven people have forgotten what happened well it's like you are always they've been lying about you are always too yeah you have they have been uh... that's crazy member of mexico came out and said they found an alien to remember that a couple years ago yeah all right well listen i got a run
- 38:00[SPEAKER_20]: Alright, man.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_16]: Alright, thanks.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, Ron here.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_16]: Hello.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, Mayor, what a ridiculous phone call.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_19]: Uh-huh.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_19]: That's the price you agreed with him.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_16]: Well, I was waiting for you.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_19]: And if we're going to kill 2,000 of our own citizens on September and London?
- 38:21[SPEAKER_16]: Hmm.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_16]: Any thoughts on it?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_19]: What do you think of the events of the week like the, uh... We've got the video of the planes flying in the building.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, you're telling me jet fuel cannot burn a billing to the ground, you imagine a temperature of that jet fuel that hit that billing everybody.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_16]: Right.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_19]: That's a ridiculous phone call.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_19]: He's not a load of this.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_19]: A lot of people don't believe that, not since.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_16]: Mm-hmm.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_16]: Well, what about the shooting of Charlie Kirk, did that bother you?
- 38:56[SPEAKER_19]: A great loss to the country.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_19]: Great loss.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_19]: I thought it was a professional hip, but I guess I'm wrong.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_19]: Currently, it's a young punk that did it, college age, college age from the picture they have of the person of interest.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_16]: But on the other hand, it certainly seems somewhat planned out.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_16]: And he certainly, you know, I love all these would be snipers that we have in bar rooms and diners, you say, oh, I
- 39:31[SPEAKER_16]: that's not that easy, especially with the tension you have doing it, I mean you're sneak it up there, you're worried about people finding it, and you're trying to, you know, I don't know how easy any of that is, it was a bolt-action 386, and that's what we were told.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, if this was a professional, you're not going to find it very cool, but what's I don't believe there.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_16]: Well, the initial speculation was it was one of these guns you could take a part.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_16]: This is probably not the case for this thing.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_19]: No, I don't think it was a professional hit.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_19]: I did it at the beginning, but I think I'm wrong on that now after.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_16]: Well, there was some engravings found on the garner or the bullets or whatever the caseings, you know, stuff about trans and anti-fascist, you know, it's like, y'all might need to be a trans person.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_19]: Trans people very dangerous to our society, as you saw there at the school shooting there, another trans guy gets what everybody, a pothead.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_19]: A pothead.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_19]: All these trans people are smoking.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_19]: We just got worked in a wheat shop.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_19]: in the shooting in Minnesota, I believe.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_16]: Yes, he did, yeah.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_19]: Got fired.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_19]: That's what they call about mayor the weed shops in Maritown.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_19]: I agree with Millie Smith.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_19]: No, we got an uptop with drugs down.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_19]: The weed you smoke today is not the weed you smoke 50 years ago, everybody shows a lot more property with destroys the brain cells.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I wish we could get Millie in here again.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_19]: people don't want to work this small pot.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_16]: I think that's true, yeah.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, millies write a nothing on the cars that the police of people is driving home.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_19]: That is outrageous, Mayor.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_19]: Huck up in my hand when I'm on that.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_16]: Probably afraid do or something.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_19]: What do you mean, they're doing a personal business in a police car?
- 41:34[SPEAKER_19]: What pain for the gas?
- 41:37[SPEAKER_19]: Give me a break.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_19]: Use the car when you're
- 41:42[SPEAKER_19]: What is your eight, I think nine, five percent of the police don't even live in water town.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_16]: That's true.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_19]: I don't have a problem with the police chief taking the car home or the fire chief.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_19]: Even though they live outside water town and want a shocking surprise, what is 390 people at work for the city don't even live in water town?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_16]: I know.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_16]: City Council says that's fine, they say.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_19]: But they won't work here.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_16]: Right.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_16]: Well, City Council seems comfortable with that.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_16]: So, and, you know, I'm done, everybody.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_19]: I don't think Mr. Sheldt's comfy with the pot deal.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_21]: Mm-hmm.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_19]: And Millie Smith's talk about the school superintendent, taking a, a vehicle work paid for all over the city.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_19]: Just to guy make a tour in a thousand a year.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_19]: By your own car, we're not paying for a vehicle for a school superintendent.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_19]: We have too many of them now.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_19]: You're right on that, Mayor.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_19]: How many school superintendents do you need?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_16]: One every five miles it seems.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_19]: The hardest decision if it's stolen that we call the damn schools.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_19]: This guy will not come on this show.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_19]: He won't come on Glenn's show.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_19]: I want to know why he left forna to come to water town because someone had that question.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_19]: They hired him to have a tour of the people that come and just got them job.

- 50:16[SPEAKER_22]: I couldn't see the B-cale aftermarket, but.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_16]: OK.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_22]: So, if it's a school vehicle, I mean, I'm just wondering kind of where the board is on this, because it's been, um, yeah, I'm sure.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_22]: one of the little schools dropping his son off that doesn't sound like super intended business.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_22]: It's been photographed in his driveway at his home on the weekend.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_21]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_22]: The school's not in session.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_22]: I just kind of want to know where the... Yeah, I don't know.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_16]: Are you stalking him?
- 50:53[SPEAKER_22]: No.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_22]: I don't have time to stalk people.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, okay.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_16]: I don't either.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_16]: But, uh... I have.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_22]: You know, we know we all know people in public.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_22]: We all know people that...
- 51:03[SPEAKER_22]: You know, are around town and have the time and the capabilities to take in pictures.

- 51:11[SPEAKER_15]: Are you one of the people with the meme page?
- 51:14[SPEAKER_22]: Am I one of the who?
- 51:15[SPEAKER_15]: The meme page.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_22]: The meme, no, you know why?
- 51:19[SPEAKER_22]: I wish I wish I had the talent and the computer know how to make some of those cartoons.

- 51:28[SPEAKER_22]: I really wish I could.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_16]: Well, I don't, you know, as far as the superintendent driving the UConn, I don't think the school board cares, they do most school boards do what superintendents tell them to do and that's that.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_22]: That seems to be kind of a theme with water time high school.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_22]: Another question I have regarding the school is Aunt Kathy has put down legislation that cell phones in New York State are banned, right?
- 51:52[SPEAKER_16]: Correct.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_16]: Yes.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_22]: So, what are the rumors going around that have been kind of shared?
- 51:58[SPEAKER_22]: widely is that the superintendent's son has been given special permission to have his cell phone not only with him on his person, but he gets to use it in class.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_16]: Well, that's an interesting thing.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_16]: I have no way of confirming or whatever on that, but it's an interesting thing.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I got to get another break and should I call you Nicky or what?
- 52:28[SPEAKER_16]: Nicky or Nicole?
- 52:29[SPEAKER_22]: They call me Nicky sir.

- 52:42[SPEAKER_16]: Okay, all right.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.

- 58:42[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, he was too articulate, too effective at what he did.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_16]: So, the left figure, he had to be killed.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_16]: He was succeeding in what he was doing, and they don't want that.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_16]: They got midterms coming up, they got to get power back, yeah.

- 59:09[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, so I'm not going to do anything to discourage him.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, it's kind of like he's kind of like the Howard Beale, if you remember, the movie Network.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_16]: Speaking the truth, when no one else will.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, he's the Howard Beale of Watertown.
