Is Freemasonry Actually Dying? The Real Numbers
4,103,161 American Freemasons at the 1959 peak. 869,429 by 2023. That's a nearly 80% collapse — and most of what gets said about "why" is folklore, not data.
This episode runs the actual arithmetic behind Freemasonry's membership decline — where the numbers come from, what they do and don't prove, and the one thing almost no lodge has ever actually calculated about itself.
An excerpt from The Lodge Officer's Companion — book five in the King Solomon's Passport Study & Leadership series.
