- 1:08Speaker 1: guys know what Snowmanning is?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Actually?
- 1:11Speaker 4: Wait?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Wait, hang on, I have an idea on how we
- 1:16Speaker 1: can really kick this Friday show off with a bang.
- 1:26Speaker 1: It is Friday inside the Treehouse and we're going to
- 1:30Speaker 1: start today with wrong Answers Only, Wrong answers only right

- 1:51Speaker 1: And let's say hello to contestant number three, Jerry. Hello, Jerry,
- 1:55Speaker 1: Welcome to Wrong Answers Only What Hello? That was way
- 1:59Speaker 1: too for game show and true, you're just the contestant,
- 2:03Speaker 1: not the You're not auditioning to be the new host.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Uh, but let's do that.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Let's let's turn my question of what is snowmanning into
- 2:13Speaker 1: a wrong answer only?
- 2:15Speaker 2: Right here inside.
- 2:20Speaker 3: The tree house. All right, here we go.
- 2:24Speaker 2: We will start.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Today with one question and one question only. The new
- 2:28Speaker 1: dating trend. That's what it is. It is a new
- 2:31Speaker 1: dating trend. The new dating trend is called snow manning.
- 2:35Speaker 1: What is snow manning? So today inside the tree house
- 2:41Speaker 1: for wrong answers only. The new dating trend is called
- 2:45Speaker 1: snow manning. What do you think snow manning is?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Uh?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Contestant number one, We'll start with you, Trey. What do
- 2:54Speaker 1: you think snow manning is?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Put a carrot upper button?
- 3:07Speaker 5: Wooh?
- 3:08Speaker 1: That is a wrong answer, which means it's the correct answer.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Let's go to contestant number two, mister Raj Sharma. The
- 3:17Speaker 1: new dating trend is called snowmanning.
- 3:19Speaker 2: What do you think snowmanning is?
- 3:23Speaker 5: Does it involve a scarf and coal?
- 3:27Speaker 1: It does not, which makes that a correct answer inside
- 3:31Speaker 1: wrong answers only, And now a contestant number three, Jerry.
- 3:35Speaker 1: The new dating trend is called snow maning. What do
- 3:37Speaker 1: you think snowmanning.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Is pretending to be Jerry Reid when you're stuck in traffic?
- 3:44Speaker 1: That is the wrong answer, which makes it a correct answer,
- 3:47Speaker 1: good job all three contestants, well done, well done inside
- 3:50Speaker 1: wrong answers only No. The new dating trend called snow
- 3:55Speaker 1: mating in actuality is a form of ghosting after spending
- 4:00Speaker 1: a night in bed together. Snowmanning gets its friendly sounding
- 4:03Speaker 1: name from the idea of your love interest in someone
- 4:07Speaker 1: melting away in the space of a day, typically twenty
- 4:11Speaker 1: four hours, so basically so basically a twenty four.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Hour relationship to one night stand.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Yeah see, I've always heard that in the context of holidays,
- 4:25Speaker 2: like it's snowmanning when it's around Christmas time. Oh, I
- 4:31Speaker 2: see what you meant.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 1: This is actually something that was first coined by I
- 4:36Speaker 1: believe it was e Harmony in twenty nineteen.
- 4:39Speaker 2: They coined the phrase snowmanning, and you're right, Jerry.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It started out as a holiday season romance where maybe
- 4:47Speaker 1: you hook up with someone right before the holidays and
- 4:49Speaker 1: then the relationship melts away into the beginning of the
- 4:53Speaker 1: new year or right after Christmas whatever. But this new
- 4:57Speaker 1: updated version of it twenty twenty four is basically doing
- 5:02Speaker 1: it in the span of one day, which gets us
- 5:05Speaker 1: to Tray's very accurate assessment of it's just a one
- 5:07Speaker 1: night stand?
- 5:09Speaker 3: Why does everything have to have a name?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Everything?
- 5:12Speaker 1: You know, what's amazing about the gen Z generation is
- 5:16Speaker 1: how they're so not into labels, but then they label
- 5:20Speaker 1: every goddamn thing they can think of.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I mean, it's just it's a hookup, a
- 5:29Speaker 7: one night stand. It's it's it's not new. You have
- 5:32Speaker 7: not reinvented the wheel. It's been going on forever.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Since the dawn of man.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Huh.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Maybe they don't want to call it one night stands
- 5:42Speaker 1: anymore because gen Z is concerned about offending the disabled.
- 5:49Speaker 7: I'm surprised it's not like snow personings because you know,
- 5:55Speaker 7: snow demming.
- 6:02Speaker 2: You didn't respect my pronouns.
- 6:08Speaker 8: So you're not trying to offend like we don't mean
- 6:10Speaker 8: to offend snow.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Well.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I mean, uh, like for me, when I heard snowmanning,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I thought it might be sitting on a snowman's face
- 6:22Speaker 1: taking advantage of that carrot, which would make for an
- 6:28Speaker 1: interesting morning when little Timmy sleds by and sees it.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And then there's a frosty joke in there somewhere.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Let's not go looking for it. Today.
- 6:44Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse Business online at Treehouse on air
- 6:49Speaker 6: dot com.
- 6:50Speaker 2: We'll just snowman that punchline.
- 6:52Speaker 1: We'll let the snow melt away and it will reveal
- 6:54Speaker 1: itself to us. Time now to talk to Daniel Cook
- 7:03Speaker 1: from cook DFW Roofing and Restoration for your free roof
- 7:06Speaker 1: inspection and to get yourself on the very important cook
- 7:08Speaker 1: list eight three to three cook DFW or the website
- 7:12Speaker 1: cookdfw dot com. It's that time of season, Daniel, and
- 7:16Speaker 1: that season is, of course, people on their roofs decorating
- 7:19Speaker 1: for the holidays. Many people already have decorated, which means
- 7:21Speaker 1: they're going to take them down soon. And is that
- 7:24Speaker 1: when they're going to discover that maybe they did little
- 7:27Speaker 1: damage to their roof when they put up Santa Claus
- 7:29Speaker 1: and his reindeer.
- 7:31Speaker 9: Dan, it is that time of the year. Merry Christmas
- 7:33Speaker 9: to you and everybody listening. And yes, sir, we see
- 7:37Speaker 9: a lot of roof damage, especially around the edges of
- 7:42Speaker 9: the people's homes. A lot of people will skirt around
- 7:45Speaker 9: the sides because they get scared about going too far
- 7:48Speaker 9: up and they kind of hold themselves up around the
- 7:50Speaker 9: edge as they're plugging the lights around, or they'll hold
- 7:54Speaker 9: the ladder against the side of the roof and they'll
- 7:56Speaker 9: damage the shingles all the way around the edges. So
- 8:00Speaker 9: there's a lot of things that happen to shingles, and
- 8:02Speaker 9: it may not damage it right away enough to leak,
- 8:04Speaker 9: but it's going to potentially put it there. So we
- 8:07Speaker 9: always suggest having your roof checked out once a year,
- 8:10Speaker 9: at least obviously for all the weather that we have,
- 8:12Speaker 9: but especially if you know you've had people on top
- 8:15Speaker 9: of your roof hanging lights or decorations, or you know
- 8:18Speaker 9: you see some shingles that are starting to fold on
- 8:20Speaker 9: the corner, so let us come out, let's do an inspection.
- 8:23Speaker 9: May need some minor repairs, but it could save you
- 8:24Speaker 9: potentially thousands of dollars later.
- 8:26Speaker 1: On eight three to three cook DFW. That's eight three
- 8:29Speaker 1: three cook DFW or that website cookdfw dot com.
- 8:39Speaker 10: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 8:41Speaker 11: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You can advertise right here inside the Treehouse. Shoot us

- 8:55Speaker 1: opportunities are available right here inside the Treehouse. Shoot us
- 8:59Speaker 1: an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com.
- 9:02Speaker 2: This is the Treehouse.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm Dan along with Trey, Raj and Jerry, and we
- 9:08Speaker 1: hear a lot over the years about how important family is.
- 9:11Speaker 1: And I don't know if you can find a tighter
- 9:14Speaker 1: family union. I don't know if you can find a
- 9:17Speaker 1: tighter family unit than the one I'm going to tell
- 9:21Speaker 1: you about right now. An entire family is going to
- 9:25Speaker 1: prison for murdering a person who criticized their mother's parenting skills.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Wow.
- 9:39Speaker 5: I love that.
- 9:40Speaker 2: We're all just looking.
- 9:41Speaker 1: At each other around the room, just kind of smile
- 9:43Speaker 1: like a nod and go like, well, I mean, at.
- 9:47Speaker 12: Least they did it all together, right, validate someone's comment
- 9:51Speaker 12: without saying anything.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Just yeah, there's a there's a lesson to be learned here.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Do you want to be right or do you want
- 9:59Speaker 1: to be live?
- 10:04Speaker 8: It's not Florida, that's yeah, not.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Florida, but but it's.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Not it's not far.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah, this happened in Kentucky.
- 10:20Speaker 3: There you go.
- 10:22Speaker 1: An entire Kentucky family will be spending this Christmas and
- 10:26Speaker 1: many more to come within the confines of the Kentucky
- 10:29Speaker 1: Department of Corrections. The case involves the twenty twenty three
- 10:34Speaker 1: murder of a twenty three year old named Seth Barnes
- 10:37Speaker 1: on Monday, the family matriarch, forty year old Amanda Turner,
- 10:41Speaker 1: was sentenced to twelve and a half years in prison.
- 10:44Speaker 1: She joins her son's Jackie, who was sentenced to thirty
- 10:48Speaker 1: years behind bars who fired the fatal shot, and Xavion
- 10:51Speaker 1: who is sentenced to three years who instigated the incident,
- 10:54Speaker 1: along with her daughters Keevier eighteen months in prison, and
- 10:59Speaker 1: Lecara Hugh. It was five years probation for rioting and being.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Convicted in the case, among the other things.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So Mama Turner pleaded guilty to facilitation of murder, rioting,
- 11:10Speaker 1: unlawful transaction with a minor, and illegally permitting a minor
- 11:13Speaker 1: to possess a gun. The the case really is a
- 11:21Speaker 1: great example of needing to be I guess careful because
- 11:32Speaker 1: there's something I've thought of for many, many years. So
- 11:34Speaker 1: someone will get mad because their person, say their family
- 11:40Speaker 1: member did something wrong, but the person that their family
- 11:45Speaker 1: member wronged did something even worse back to the person,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and then the original family member is mad at the
- 11:55Speaker 1: person who did the thing. The example I always think
- 11:59Speaker 1: of is there were some kids that stole a third
- 12:03Speaker 1: row seat out of a suburban and the guy's suburban
- 12:08Speaker 1: came out and shot the kids. Well, the mother of
- 12:11Speaker 1: the kids was super mad that the guy shot her kids.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Now she's not wrong because the guy did chase them
- 12:20Speaker 1: down and shoot them. So what wasn't necessarily a self
- 12:23Speaker 1: defense situation. But at the core of the situation, it
- 12:28Speaker 1: is just because you're doing something bad. You can't have
- 12:33Speaker 1: the expectation that someone else that someone else's level.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Of bad matches yours. Does that make sense right?
- 12:43Speaker 1: You think stealing something out of somebody's car doesn't deserve
- 12:48Speaker 1: that You wouldn't deserve to get shot.
- 12:50Speaker 2: However, the guy who owns that car thinks you do.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Got it?
- 12:54Speaker 3: Okay?
- 12:55Speaker 2: What mean?
- 12:56Speaker 5: Yeah? I understand or shot a third row seat, but.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I don't think you should.
- 13:04Speaker 1: But at the same time, don't steal stuff, uh solid yeah,
- 13:11Speaker 1: or in this case, don't criticize a crazy mama and
- 13:14Speaker 1: her family about her poor parenting skills. Otherwise they may
- 13:17Speaker 1: show up and shoot you in the face. Again, they
- 13:24Speaker 1: didn't deserve it, but it happened. So anyway, based on that,
- 13:30Speaker 1: the whole family's going to go to prison together.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I don't know that.
- 13:34Speaker 5: They's going to the same prison.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I don't know how that works.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I don't know, Like in Kentucky, it's not a big state.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I don't know how many prisons they have, And I
- 13:42Speaker 1: think this is all state stuff. I don't think it's
- 13:44Speaker 1: necessarily federal because they didn't cost you know, state lines
- 13:47Speaker 1: to go shoot the person who criticized Mama.
- 13:51Speaker 2: So I don't know if they.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Get to all, you know, like like the two brothers,
- 13:55Speaker 1: do they get to be cell mats together or do
- 13:57Speaker 1: they get separated.
- 13:58Speaker 3: I don't know. I guess one's different because one got life.
- 14:02Speaker 7: But the fact that the fact that Mama went and
- 14:04Speaker 7: got Mama got mad at the comment and went and
- 14:07Speaker 7: got the two boys because she knew they were carrying guns,
- 14:09Speaker 7: to take them over there and start a fight. I mean,
- 14:12Speaker 7: it's pure Kentucky, isn't Isn't.
- 14:17Speaker 2: That their slogan.
- 14:23Speaker 1: That's a hell of a campaign they've got.
- 14:31Speaker 10: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 14:33Speaker 11: Visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Let's get Jaqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now
- 14:44Speaker 1: for any and all of your plumbing once and needs,
- 14:46Speaker 1: give her and all of them there a call to
- 14:49Speaker 1: one four three six thirty eight thirty eight. The website
- 14:51Speaker 1: Brooks Plumbing Texas dot Com. When I had my house
- 14:54Speaker 1: in Dallas, Jacqueline, you came out a few times to
- 14:58Speaker 1: help us with some issues, and your response time was phenomenal.
- 15:02Speaker 1: And it wasn't just because it was me. It was
- 15:04Speaker 1: because that's the kind of company you run. You go
- 15:06Speaker 1: out of your way trying to help every client and
- 15:09Speaker 1: try to get there as soon as you can.
- 15:11Speaker 13: Well, I mean the reality of it is is that
- 15:13Speaker 13: plumbing is unfortunately a need and not so much a want. Yes,
- 15:17Speaker 13: you can want to remodel the bathroom and that's not pressing,
- 15:21Speaker 13: but typically when it comes to service or leak investigations,
- 15:24Speaker 13: et cetera, et cetera. If you've got to stoppage on
- 15:27Speaker 13: the mainline and you don't know and you keep putting
- 15:31Speaker 13: liquid or you know, waste into the drains, if it
- 15:36Speaker 13: has nowhere to go, it will come back in the
- 15:38Speaker 13: house and at that point in time, it's no longer
- 15:41Speaker 13: a want, it's a need, and that sort of thing
- 15:44Speaker 13: can't wait. When you have those emergencies, you have got
- 15:48Speaker 13: to figure out how to manage the crew so that
- 15:50Speaker 13: you can have the best response time.
- 15:52Speaker 1: That's right, and they'll show up and they'll do it.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Quickly call Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing for any and all
- 15:57Speaker 1: of those plumbing wants and needs two one four thirty eight,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and again that website Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com.
- 16:10Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse OnAir
- 16:14Speaker 6: dot com.
- 16:18Speaker 1: You need to follow the Treehouse on social media or
- 16:21Speaker 1: handle at Treehouse on Air across all social media platforms.
- 16:26Speaker 1: There's even more fun to be had inside the Treehouse
- 16:29Speaker 1: when you follow us on social media. That handle, again
- 16:32Speaker 1: across all social media platforms, is at Treehouse on Air.
- 16:38Speaker 1: We're going to go from Kentucky, a very very fine
- 16:42Speaker 1: state in these United States, and travel a short distance
- 16:46Speaker 1: to Ohio, where typically not a whole lot of crazy
- 16:50Speaker 1: stuff happens, but still America and every state is capable
- 16:54Speaker 1: of crazy.
- 16:57Speaker 2: A funeral home. It's always good start to a story, right.
- 17:01Speaker 1: A funeral home in Ohio is set to become the
- 17:05Speaker 1: first funeral home in Ohio to get a liquor license.
- 17:11Speaker 12: Yes, well done, Yeah, yes, now somebody's thinking.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Finally, Uh, here is the owner, Hunter Triplet talking about
- 17:26Speaker 1: the liquor license.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Eye roll in this position is to kind of be
- 17:32Speaker 4: a party planner for dead people. You know, be a
- 17:34Speaker 4: more of a celebrator.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It's a great LinkedIn headline, I'm a party planner for
- 17:40Speaker 1: dead people. It's a perfect elevator pitch going down to
- 17:45Speaker 1: the board.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And none of them ever complained no better.
- 17:51Speaker 8: That's the most quiet happy hour you can go to.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Pole in this position is to kind of be a
- 18:00Speaker 4: party planner for dead people, you know, be more of
- 18:02Speaker 4: a celebration of life than more of the multi day
- 18:05Speaker 4: traditional services which costs a lot of money. And their
- 18:08Speaker 4: inspector called me and they're like, is this evergreen funeral?
- 18:12Speaker 4: And I'm like yeah, and they're like, you would be
- 18:15Speaker 4: the first funeral home to get a liquor license in
- 18:17Speaker 4: the state of Ohio.
- 18:18Speaker 1: In other words, you, sir, were the first mother to
- 18:23Speaker 1: think of this.
- 18:25Speaker 2: And we're all stunned that no one had thought of
- 18:28Speaker 2: this before. And now I am how has this not
- 18:32Speaker 2: been a thing long before? Now? Can we have it
- 18:34Speaker 2: in Texas?
- 18:35Speaker 1: Or is this another one of those stupid ass blue laws,
- 18:37Speaker 1: like you can't buy booze, you can't buy beer before
- 18:40Speaker 1: noon on Sundays, and you can't have a bloody Mary
- 18:43Speaker 1: at brunch until you have chips on your table on
- 18:45Speaker 1: Sunday and you can't buy liquor after nine or whatever
- 18:48Speaker 1: other bull this state has come up with as far
- 18:50Speaker 1: as liquor laws, I don't of all places that you
- 18:54Speaker 1: should be allowed to sell booze, it needs to be
- 18:57Speaker 1: at the funeral home.
- 19:00Speaker 7: Thinking of this in the wrong way, Yes, this is
- 19:04Speaker 7: It's the same reason why high end car dealerships and
- 19:07Speaker 7: high end clothing stores always have beer and wine. This
- 19:10Speaker 7: isn't you know that it's a party. They want to
- 19:12Speaker 7: get you drunk, So you buy the upgrade of the
- 19:14Speaker 7: casket and everything else and spend that, you know, twenty
- 19:17Speaker 7: twenty five thousand instead of ten.
- 19:20Speaker 5: There you go, there's the salesman right there.
- 19:25Speaker 2: You know, it's brilliant. I'm fine with it.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I'm still fine with it, because look, I'm in I'm
- 19:31Speaker 1: in a vulnerable state. I'm sad, I've lost my family
- 19:34Speaker 1: member and now I'm here. And if they planned properly,
- 19:38Speaker 1: they've set money aside for their arrangements, and if there's
- 19:43Speaker 1: if there's little wiggle room where if we can get say,
- 19:47Speaker 1: you know, maybe the two thousand dollars pine casket instead
- 19:51Speaker 1: of the ten thousand dollars platinum casket, then maybe we
- 19:55Speaker 1: can spend that the difference on a party here at
- 19:59Speaker 1: the funeral home. Yeah yeah, Or like what you're saying, Trey,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you know it'll maybe you will get you liquored up
- 20:07Speaker 1: enough to where you'll buy the upgraded package.
- 20:10Speaker 3: It's uh, I'll finance that. I love her so much.
- 20:16Speaker 7: Fifteen years at eight percent a great deal, give me
- 20:20Speaker 7: another shot.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Or you know what you do that and.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You you basically you could you could sell tickets to
- 20:33Speaker 1: to the to the wake, to the funeral to where
- 20:35Speaker 1: you really can make it an event, a celebration of life.
- 20:39Speaker 2: You can make it a concert. You can have a
- 20:41Speaker 2: bar set up, uh for for.
- 20:43Speaker 1: The event and maybe make a little money on the passing.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Yes, yes, you're right. I do need a spinning casket.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Yes, excuse me, sir, Just one final detail here on
- 20:58Speaker 1: your funeral roll party package.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Do you want that to be an open casket?
- 21:06Speaker 13: Uh?
- 21:07Speaker 2: No, I would like an open bar please.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Then his funeral comes with bottle service.

- 21:57Speaker 1: the families of fallen police officers and firefighters in the

- 22:04Speaker 1: There are ways to donate right there on the website
- 22:06Speaker 1: Treehouse on air dot com. You are in the Treehouse.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I'm Dan, along with Trey and Raj and Jerry. And Jerry.
- 22:14Speaker 1: You brought up a solid point that in that last
- 22:17Speaker 1: break we were talking about the funeral home in Ohio
- 22:20Speaker 1: being the first in Ohio to get a liquor license,
- 22:22Speaker 1: and then we were thinking about, well what about Texas.
- 22:25Speaker 1: But you brought up a great point and that is
- 22:27Speaker 1: a lot of the drinking at around funerals and things
- 22:31Speaker 1: happens in the parking lot.
- 22:32Speaker 2: And you're I think you're right.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Some of the a lot of the what I'm exactly
- 22:37Speaker 1: how I'm trying to say this, but most of the
- 22:39Speaker 1: drinking I have seen at funerals happens in the parking lot.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Of the funeral home.
- 22:42Speaker 7: There.
- 22:43Speaker 2: That's what I was trying to say.
- 22:44Speaker 12: Right right after the proceedings. I have a very large
- 22:47Speaker 12: family and we have been meeting at the funeral home
- 22:51Speaker 12: a lot, you know, two three times a year. Now,
- 22:54Speaker 12: is it because somebody died or you just you just
- 22:55Speaker 12: really like the ambiance?
- 22:58Speaker 2: Well that's why I go. But no, it's it's always people.
- 23:02Speaker 2: We know. There's uh, you're not the crashing No, No,
- 23:07Speaker 2: there's just there's a metric crap ton of of family
- 23:12Speaker 2: and uh, we've always talked about it's like this would
- 23:14Speaker 2: be so much easier we they just had beer here,
- 23:17Speaker 2: you know, we could just and you said, everyone in
- 23:19Speaker 2: your family just keeps dying.
- 23:20Speaker 1: That's why you keep going to the funerals, and that's
- 23:22Speaker 1: why you keep drinking in the parking lot of the funerals.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Right as soon as we're done with maybe you think
- 23:28Speaker 1: maybe the drinking could be a contributing factor.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I mean, we've also brought that up.
- 23:33Speaker 1: To all right, you don't have to do anything about it,
- 23:37Speaker 1: but just as long as it's been noticed, Tray, you're
- 23:41Speaker 1: you're the real quick go ahead, Jerry.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I was just gonna say, it's a it's a family tradition.
- 23:45Speaker 2: You know, what are you gonna do?
- 23:47Speaker 1: Trey, you're the You're the closest thing we have to
- 23:49Speaker 1: a t ABC expert. Uh in the Treehouse, the Texas
- 23:52Speaker 1: Alcohol and Beverage Commission. Uh, I say closest, but you
- 23:55Speaker 1: actually kind of are short of being an actual TABC employee.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Kim, what's that?
- 24:02Speaker 3: I'm mean? I do have you know, like you have
- 24:04Speaker 3: to have a TABC certification?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, you do have that. So can there be
- 24:09Speaker 2: boos and stuff at the funeral home?
- 24:12Speaker 7: So I was thinking about this, and it's interesting because
- 24:16Speaker 7: you're not supposed to serve liquor, beer, wine, anything within
- 24:20Speaker 7: a certain distance from schools, churches, and because most funeral
- 24:25Speaker 7: homes have somewhat of a church on them. I don't
- 24:28Speaker 7: know how that if that conflicts?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Is that like a like a percentage of use thing?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Because liquor laws vary if you sell a certain amount
- 24:38Speaker 1: of your sales from food, whereas at a funeral home,
- 24:42Speaker 1: if the floor plan of your funeral home only has
- 24:46Speaker 1: a ten percent dedicated to the chapel, is it really
- 24:48Speaker 1: a church?
- 24:49Speaker 7: Well that's I don't know how, But you're not such.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Jesus are you allowed to serve with your booze?
- 24:55Speaker 7: I can't remember. I think it's five hundred yards from
- 24:59Speaker 7: any school or uh yeah, uh church, anything like that.
- 25:03Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 25:05Speaker 7: But being that.
- 25:07Speaker 3: You're the boy, like it's a doozy.
- 25:11Speaker 7: I mean, I'm sure you probably couldn't get a liquor license,
- 25:14Speaker 7: but you probably could get a beer and wine permit.
- 25:17Speaker 2: You can.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Since that's the case, then those those places can't serve
- 25:23Speaker 1: the alcohol.
- 25:25Speaker 2: So what that then mean? Funeral homes are B y
- 25:27Speaker 2: O B.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Charge of cover.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And and and buckets, charge.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Charge for micker mixers and ice. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:38Speaker 1: You charge a cover to get in, and you charge
- 25:41Speaker 1: your fee for setups.
- 25:45Speaker 5: Somebody's gonna pay for this funeral.
- 25:47Speaker 2: That's all right.
- 25:48Speaker 12: It's a table set up right up next to the
- 25:51Speaker 12: to the to the casket. And there at the end
- 25:52Speaker 12: when everybody gets up and walks around to pay their
- 25:54Speaker 12: last respect, you go over, you kiss Grandma goodbye, and
- 25:57Speaker 12: then you grab a beer.
- 25:59Speaker 5: And I'm really gonna miss her. Shot shot shot, shot,
- 26:05Speaker 5: shut shots.
- 26:08Speaker 7: The arm sticking up with the bottle of.
- 26:15Speaker 1: She always loved popping bottles. She may have died in
- 26:22Speaker 1: a car wreck, but she's going to heaven.
- 26:25Speaker 2: In the VIP section. Oh god, that is fantastic.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And at that point you really could for you know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: at the funeral home you could have basically two doors.
- 26:39Speaker 1: One is sort of the the revered door, the traditional, respectful,
- 26:45Speaker 1: the somber experience. That's that's one side, and then there's
- 26:50Speaker 1: the other side with the smoke and the lasers and
- 26:56Speaker 1: the bottle service, the mirrored ball holes, and so that's
- 27:02Speaker 1: how at the funeral home you decide. Someone comes in,
- 27:05Speaker 1: You're like, I'm very sorry for your loss. Would you
- 27:08Speaker 1: like the sad room or the fist pumping room.
- 27:15Speaker 5: Crunk or not?
- 27:21Speaker 2: Would you like the crunk package? What do you do
- 27:24Speaker 2: for living?
- 27:25Speaker 3: I'm a bouncer. We're at Restland.
- 27:30Speaker 2: What has happen? It's sure ain't rest.
- 27:48Speaker 11: You're listening to the Treehouse Press online that Treehouse on
- 27:53Speaker 11: Air dot com.
- 28:16Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse. Visit us online at Treehouseonair dot Com.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Sorry I forgot to turn my mic on. Right there
- 28:29Speaker 1: you are inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 28:32Speaker 1: Trey Trendholm, Jerry Caldwell, Raz Sharma. Today is right day,
- 28:38Speaker 1: December twentieth twoenty twenty four. Let's celebrate with some birthdays.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Singer Jojo is thirty four. Uh did you know that
- 28:51Speaker 1: Jojo was offered the role of Hannah Montana before Miley
- 28:56Speaker 1: Cyrus was, but Jojo turned it down. And now Miley
- 29:01Speaker 1: Cyrus lives outside of her father's mullet shadow because of
- 29:09Speaker 1: the role. Meanwhile, JoJo's just kind of Jojo. So life
- 29:15Speaker 1: is about choices, never forget that, and that's when Jojo
- 29:19Speaker 1: has to live with. But then again she gets to
- 29:22Speaker 1: look at Miley Cyrus and say, well, at least my
- 29:24Speaker 1: dad's not Billy Ray Cyris. So life's also about perspective.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Other birthdays today, Jonah Hill turns forty one. I don't
- 29:34Speaker 1: know if I can speak to everyone. I don't know
- 29:36Speaker 1: if I can speak on everyone's behalf when I say this,
- 29:38Speaker 1: but what happened to Jonah Hill?
- 29:42Speaker 8: He so he lost a bunch of weight and because
- 29:46Speaker 8: of that, he stopped getting rolls. So he put the
- 29:49Speaker 8: weight back on and so he's trying to make a
- 29:52Speaker 8: comeback but apparently not. And this is just from being
- 29:56Speaker 8: in Hollywood for twelve years. Not a nice guy, like
- 29:59Speaker 8: he's a parent, very difficult to work with, and he's
- 30:01Speaker 8: very rude.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Okay, I see that, I can I can actually see that. Yeah.
- 30:11Speaker 1: The other thing that I think I've read on or
- 30:14Speaker 1: seen online is in addition to the weight fluctuation and
- 30:17Speaker 1: everything was it's like he started therapy splaining to everyone.
- 30:23Speaker 1: It's like he he he got into therapy, which I
- 30:26Speaker 1: think we're all on record here most of us need
- 30:28Speaker 1: at least to some degree. But then some people go
- 30:32Speaker 1: all in on their therapy and it gets it gets
- 30:36Speaker 1: to be too much and the therapy thing. They become
- 30:40Speaker 1: obsessed with it. And I think that's kind of what
- 30:42Speaker 1: happened with him, is he becomes obsessed with the therapy
- 30:47Speaker 1: and then he starts basically trying to therapize everybody else
- 30:51Speaker 1: around him.
- 30:54Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 30:54Speaker 8: I mean, I know people that get into it like
- 30:56Speaker 8: that as well. But doing that and then also being
- 31:02Speaker 8: not a nice person makes you just not people don't
- 31:05Speaker 8: want to be around you, right, So that's what that's
- 31:08Speaker 8: what happened. There's a lot of movie sets where none
- 31:11Speaker 8: of the co none of his co stars would speak
- 31:14Speaker 8: to him, So that makes me very odd chemistry on
- 31:17Speaker 8: the screen.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, it's it's a lesson. A lot of people
- 31:22Speaker 1: don't learn that if you're you know, if you're a
- 31:25Speaker 1: soul to everybody, uh, they're not going to like you.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not necessarily sharing an epiphany here, but
- 31:37Speaker 1: I know some people don't ever learn that, And it's
- 31:39Speaker 1: amazing to me that some people don't learn that, whether
- 31:42Speaker 1: it's Jonah Hill or people who have an overinflated sense
- 31:46Speaker 1: of themselves in any industry whatever, I just don't. I
- 31:51Speaker 1: have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact
- 31:53Speaker 1: that some people aren't that aware.
- 31:56Speaker 8: Yeah, and I don't understand the the idea of stardom
- 32:00Speaker 8: making you a jerk, like I don't understand that, Like
- 32:03Speaker 8: I bet I've seen it.
- 32:05Speaker 5: I've witnessed it. Well, my question doesn't get it.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Did the fame and the money, did the stardom turn
- 32:13Speaker 1: them into a hall or.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Did they already have it in there?
- 32:18Speaker 1: And that just kind of brought it out, brought it
- 32:21Speaker 1: out more into the open because we've all known people
- 32:26Speaker 1: or person that was already sole and fame and money
- 32:32Speaker 1: just highlighted it.
- 32:35Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, or are they Are they super good
- 32:37Speaker 7: actors and talent because they have that, you know, just
- 32:41Speaker 7: weird personality and their a holes. Val Kilmer is a
- 32:44Speaker 7: great example, yes, always notoriously from day one, hard to
- 32:48Speaker 7: work with and a complete a hole. Incredible actor though,
- 32:51Speaker 7: I mean that's people hated him so much. They said,
- 32:54Speaker 7: that's why he really didn't get the nod for Tombstone
- 32:57Speaker 7: to be for an Academy.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Award, which by all accounts he should have.
- 33:02Speaker 7: Yeah, but no one, no one would vote for him
- 33:05Speaker 7: because he's just pissed everyone off until he got cancer
- 33:09Speaker 7: and kind of was dying that uh he kind of softened.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Well, not only did he soften, but it's amazing how
- 33:17Speaker 1: death will change people's opinion of you, because you could be,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you know, a raging your entire life, male or female.
- 33:24Speaker 1: By the way, Trey knows that you you can be
- 33:26Speaker 1: a raging your entire life and then you die, and
- 33:30Speaker 1: then some people will say he was nice, a nice person.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll get you'll get there. Well, I didn't want
- 33:38Speaker 5: to trample on his grave. I'm like, well, he wasn't.
- 33:41Speaker 5: He wasn't nice alive, so I'm pretty sure he would.
- 33:43Speaker 2: He would have. He would have pissed on yours.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So let's let's but it is amazing how how death
- 33:49Speaker 1: makes everyone sort of revision revision is revisionist. Yeah, but anyway, Yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I was just fascinated Jonah Hill. Today is this birthday,
- 34:03Speaker 1: but we're not saying Happy birthday to Jonah Hill because
- 34:05Speaker 1: apparently he's a giant dick. David Cook is forty two.
- 34:10Speaker 1: He was actually an American Idol winner.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Anyone?
- 34:14Speaker 1: Anyone remember David Cook, winner of American Idol season seven.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Mmm, I'm gonna stop watching after season three. Sometimes when
- 34:22Speaker 2: you win, you lose.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think I ever actually saw it. I've
- 34:27Speaker 1: never seen an entire season of American Idol.
- 34:32Speaker 3: I've got into but I know I.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Saw, I saw.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I've seen a couple episodes here and there, but definitely
- 34:38Speaker 1: not an entire season.
- 34:39Speaker 2: What is it Tree?
- 34:40Speaker 7: It was just when it the original judges, when it
- 34:43Speaker 7: was Randy, Paula and Simon, it was just it was
- 34:46Speaker 7: such a better show.
- 34:48Speaker 8: Yeah, and that's when he was an That's when he
- 34:51Speaker 8: was an ahole Simon. But now if you watch the
- 34:53Speaker 8: shows now that he's on, he's like super complimentary.
- 34:56Speaker 5: They had to change his image.
- 34:58Speaker 8: The only one I ever saw was the first I
- 35:01Speaker 8: think it was the first year because Kelly Clarkson was
- 35:05Speaker 8: a waitress at Hyenas in Arlington, and they changed the
- 35:09Speaker 8: backstory to make it she worked a movie theater. That's
- 35:14Speaker 8: what the backstory was, because they didn't want her image
- 35:16Speaker 8: to be tainted by being in a CD you know,
- 35:19Speaker 8: comedy club with drugs and alcohol and blah blah blah,
- 35:22Speaker 8: and you know whatever.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Whatever, So gir list and there's there's they have that there.
- 35:26Speaker 8: Yeah, Now her last paycheck was on the was taped
- 35:29Speaker 8: to the wall in the office.
- 35:31Speaker 5: I still remember that.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Well, that's that's big time is when you don't have
- 35:35Speaker 1: to pick up that final check real quick. Trey, Trey,
- 35:39Speaker 1: you said something pretty controversial there. You said American Idol
- 35:42Speaker 1: wasn't any good after they got rid of the original judges.
- 35:46Speaker 14: Yes, how dare you, Trey ha and dare you?
- 35:58Speaker 7: I'm sorry, Look, Brian that it's the chemistry you lying
- 36:04Speaker 7: on Katie just is never good.
- 36:07Speaker 14: All right, Well that may actually be true because uh,
- 36:10Speaker 14: Katie Perry kind of sucks and and and and Lionel well,
- 36:14Speaker 14: I mean, let's be honest. We know why he's there.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Yeah, has more hits than you.
- 36:19Speaker 14: Now, it's because he's black, not because he was the
- 36:25Speaker 14: lead singer of the Commodore's Yea all right, well maybe
- 36:28Speaker 14: a little bit of that, but mostly because he's black.
- 36:30Speaker 14: But seriously, I am I am Luke Bryant High and
- 36:35Speaker 14: I take issue with what you said, Trey Trenholm that
- 36:37Speaker 14: the original American Idol judges were the best and that
- 36:41Speaker 14: I suck. I don't suck. I'm the best there. I'm
- 36:43Speaker 14: the best American Idol judge there's ever been. And I
- 36:47Speaker 14: had to be careful and starting to sound like Alex Jones.
- 36:53Speaker 8: Would would be a fun American Idol judge. Alexes, I mean,
- 37:03Speaker 8: you're kind of the Paul Abduel of the New Crew.
- 37:06Speaker 14: Oh my god, I can't believe you'd say something so
- 37:09Speaker 14: disparaging about me, Luke Brian one of the greatest stars
- 37:12Speaker 14: country music has to offer, mainly because it's a lack
- 37:15Speaker 14: of options.
- 37:21Speaker 2: And did you have something to do with that? Luke?
- 37:26Speaker 14: Did I have something to do with what called well
- 37:29Speaker 14: the lack of options?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Maybe?
- 37:36Speaker 14: Look, all I know is if when you're coming up
- 37:39Speaker 14: in Nashville and you just decide one day to kill
- 37:43Speaker 14: all the other songwriters in Nashville, you were eventually gonna
- 37:46Speaker 14: make it.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Yeah, work for Sean Puffy Combs. Yeah.
- 37:54Speaker 14: But see that's ry. I'm smarter because I make sure
- 37:56Speaker 14: I don't give anybody no lu but my party.
- 38:02Speaker 2: You.
- 38:04Speaker 5: That's right, you're the original Hottoa girl.
- 38:11Speaker 14: Ah. We just do it country styles called spittuning. It
- 38:19Speaker 14: actually is.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Roch, did you come to one of my shin digs?
- 38:24Speaker 1: I thought for sure eyes would have met at some point.
- 38:29Speaker 8: I think I'm the wrong skin tone to come to
- 38:30Speaker 8: one of your party's brother.
- 38:33Speaker 14: Oh no, you'd have been there, you just wouldn't have
- 38:35Speaker 14: been participating.
- 38:39Speaker 5: But still oddly the guest of honor little bit.
- 38:46Speaker 14: I'm Luke Bryan. I'm the best American idol judge there's
- 38:48Speaker 14: ever been. If you don't think so, most of the
- 38:55Speaker 14: country doesn't think so.
- 38:57Speaker 2: So all right, I don't have any more because I
- 39:01Speaker 2: didn't write anything for it.
- 39:06Speaker 10: You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 39:41Speaker 1: The Friday tradition lives on a lover boy coming back
- 39:45Speaker 1: from the final commercial break inside the Treehouse. And I'll
- 39:56Speaker 1: keep playing it until YouTube tells me that we can't.
- 40:16Speaker 1: All right, Next week is Christmas. Next week is Christmas,
- 40:20Speaker 1: and for some people Christmas has come just a little
- 40:23Speaker 1: bit early. Have you been dreaming of a white Christmas? Well,
- 40:29Speaker 1: a fisherman in Florida found one point seven million dollars
- 40:33Speaker 1: worth of cocaine recently, and he has the opportunity to
- 40:36Speaker 1: do something that hasn't happened in Florida for many years.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Make it snow. So we talked over the summer about
- 40:48Speaker 1: cocaine being found in the systems of sharks off the
- 40:53Speaker 1: coast of Florida, because the theory that authorities had is
- 40:57Speaker 1: that drug smugglers would dump the drugs in the water
- 41:00Speaker 1: to either be picked up by someone else to then
- 41:04Speaker 1: be brought onto land or at the side of a
- 41:06Speaker 1: coastguard ship.
- 41:07Speaker 2: They would dump their goods.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Into the water and then there would lie and they'd
- 41:11Speaker 1: make a getaway, and then it gets into the systems
- 41:14Speaker 1: of the sharks. Who I guess the sharks smell something
- 41:17Speaker 1: interesting and fun and stick their noses in it and
- 41:20Speaker 1: then have a big old shark party in the Atlantic. Well,
- 41:24Speaker 1: a fisherman in Florida found one of these, and it
- 41:27Speaker 1: turned out to be worth about one point seven million
- 41:30Speaker 1: dollars worth. It was branded with a scorpion logo. The
- 41:36Speaker 1: drugs were promptly turned over to local authorities, earning praise
- 41:39Speaker 1: from the sheriff for a good deed. The sheriff also
- 41:42Speaker 1: humorously suggested the cocaine had inadvertently fallen off the back
- 41:46Speaker 1: of someone's boat during a leisurely coast allowing. The sheriff
- 41:50Speaker 1: even invited the owner of the drugs to claim them
- 41:52Speaker 1: at the Criminal Investigative Services Building, assuring there would be
- 41:55Speaker 1: no strings attached. He even joked about offering a reward
- 42:02Speaker 1: a stay at the Ivy. That's the sheriff's name, a
- 42:06Speaker 1: stay at Ivy's iron bar lounge, a tongue in cheek
- 42:09Speaker 1: reference to the county jail. The post went viral, showcasing
