- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Hello, yeah, what This is your opportunity to
- 0:04Speaker 1: lay into us, to ask us questions, to make observations,
- 0:08Speaker 1: to to help celebrate, to cheer us, or to tear
- 0:14Speaker 1: us down, whatever you'd like to do, or perhaps you'd
- 0:16Speaker 1: like to make us feel sorry for you, or maybe
- 0:19Speaker 1: maybe you would like to tell us a joke, or
- 0:22Speaker 1: you'd like to promote something that you're doing, or make
- 0:25Speaker 1: an observation on the state of the world.
- 0:27Speaker 2: People think we're crazy for just taking phone calls. Other
- 0:31Speaker 2: radio stations pretend to.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Do this, you know what, They don't really do this.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You know what, people are right when they say we're
- 0:37Speaker 1: crazy to do this. They're absolutely right.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Other radio stations they either have actors call, yes they do,
- 0:44Speaker 2: or they're very carefully curated phone calls that.
- 0:49Speaker 3: They record and then rehearse back and rehearse.
- 0:52Speaker 4: We don't do any of that.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Will allow you to and we allow you to be
- 0:57Speaker 1: as smarter as stupid as you want to be, and
- 0:59Speaker 1: in turn we end up that way as well, sometimes
- 1:02Speaker 1: smart and sometimes really stupid.
- 1:05Speaker 4: All right, well, let's let's begin. Hello, yeah, what Nate, Hi, Nate.
- 1:10Speaker 1: It says here you you want to talk about the
- 1:12Speaker 1: Republican primary.
- 1:15Speaker 5: How's it going, guys.
- 1:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm just stoked that Trevor Lee lost in a
- 1:19Speaker 6: landslide in his primary.
- 1:21Speaker 5: He's before seriously terrible bills, and I woke up to
- 1:24Speaker 5: some great news this morning.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Now, are you in his district?
- 1:29Speaker 7: No, I'm not.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I don't need to be to not like him.
- 1:32Speaker 4: That's true, that's true.
- 1:33Speaker 6: I'm let's not forget Trevor Lee is the guy who
- 1:36Speaker 6: proposed changing Harvey Milk Boulevard to Charlie Kirk Boulevard.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I mean that's only one of the things, just one thing.
- 1:43Speaker 2: He had several horrible, hateful comments about immigrants and people
- 1:48Speaker 2: of color and people of different sexual orientations. And I
- 1:54Speaker 2: just hope he's crying himself to meat to sleep tonight
- 1:57Speaker 2: on his giant pillow.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I think I think he's just probably spreading a trunch
- 2:01Speaker 1: of hatred daily Trevor forehead. So yeah, it's good. That
- 2:06Speaker 1: is good news. Anything else you'd like to observe, that's.
- 2:10Speaker 5: The only one, guys, Thanks for what to do?
- 2:11Speaker 4: I have a good one.
- 2:12Speaker 2: All right, we need we need some good news news.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Let's go to Terrek is here? Hello? Yeah, what is it? Terrek?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Is that your name? Yes? Yes, it is okay.
- 2:27Speaker 1: What would you like to make an observation about.
- 2:31Speaker 8: I've just been seeing how the country has changed positively.
- 2:35Speaker 8: During the SEAFA World Cup, a lot of people were
- 2:40Speaker 8: mentioning how it would be an absolute mess for the
- 2:42Speaker 8: tournament to be hosted in the US due to multiple
- 2:46Speaker 8: countries having visa issues and stuff like that. But it's
- 2:50Speaker 8: also been super great to see all of these countries
- 2:55Speaker 8: coming together and celebrating each other's cultures for these host cities.
- 3:00Speaker 8: It's like a great example was the Scottish fans and
- 3:03Speaker 8: we asked to go there bonding with everyone running around
- 3:07Speaker 8: playing bagpipes, having a party, having a great time.
- 3:10Speaker 6: And I love that they gave base they gave baseball
- 3:14Speaker 6: a try.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I love that they took soccer energy to baseball.
- 3:18Speaker 5: They all yeah, they all marched out to Fenway Park together.
- 3:24Speaker 7: Cool.
- 3:25Speaker 1: There have been goods, There have been some good stories
- 3:27Speaker 1: coming out of it. You're you're quite.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Right, and it is nice to see it. That's why
- 3:31Speaker 2: the World Cup is great. It's it is the world
- 3:34Speaker 2: literally coming together for for for common cause. And I
- 3:38Speaker 2: would agree. It's so nice that the Japanese team after
- 3:41Speaker 2: their after their match, where they all the people in
- 3:45Speaker 2: the stands were cleaning up the garbage afterwards and.
- 3:48Speaker 8: Just oh yeah, yeah, they do that after every match.
- 3:52Speaker 8: But yeah, I guess it's just like people were saying
- 3:54Speaker 8: that the US didn't deserve it, but it is kind
- 3:58Speaker 8: of a shared leaf now that this is exactly what
- 4:02Speaker 8: we needed.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Now, Terrek, I will I will point out and we'll
- 4:05Speaker 1: see if I'm right about this when it's all over.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I want you to listen very carefully for Donald Trump
- 4:10Speaker 1: taking credit for the whole thing.
- 4:12Speaker 9: Yeah, well you know what, he absolutely will.
- 4:14Speaker 8: He absolutely will, and he's going to get to present
- 4:17Speaker 8: the trophy.
- 4:19Speaker 10: Well yeah, so see what he does with that.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Terrek, thanks for thanks for thanks. This
- 4:26Speaker 1: is what the hello? Yeah, what's all about? It was
- 4:29Speaker 1: very good.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Hello.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, we will well, let's take one more
- 4:34Speaker 6: and then we'll it's oh, it's done.
- 4:37Speaker 4: It's that non us, Okay.
- 4:44Speaker 7: I want to tell you the reason why I left
- 4:48Speaker 7: on what day was it, Monday? Is because they made
- 4:51Speaker 7: me come to work and then they told me they
- 4:53Speaker 7: didn't have any works. And then I went up to
- 4:57Speaker 7: the station to get my tickets and I no I
- 5:02Speaker 7: met the anyway, I met a couple of people there
- 5:08Speaker 7: but I just got one thing, one request. Can somebody
- 5:11Speaker 7: tell Nick to not turn the music up in the
- 5:13Speaker 7: middle of the song? O my left heads speaker.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Well, let we'll let Nick know, all right, thanks to
- 5:21Speaker 6: that's rather unprofessional Nick, I must say, thanks.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Don Hello, Yeah, what okay, let's go, we got we
- 5:30Speaker 4: got a lot of calls here.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Hello?
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yeah what Jordan is here? Hi? Jordans? Hey you good?
- 5:37Speaker 4: Where are you calling from? I met the bakery.
- 5:41Speaker 7: I'm your your friendly neighborhood bakery here.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just calling to see.
- 5:46Speaker 7: If you got the banana bread.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 5:49Speaker 9: We got it late to try it.
- 5:52Speaker 6: We weren't here when it arrived, and the person who
- 5:55Speaker 6: took it put it away in the fridge and it
- 5:59Speaker 6: sat there for a week and didn't tell us, and
- 6:02Speaker 6: then it didn't.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Tell us, and then it arrived on my desk.
- 6:06Speaker 6: Where I forgot it, and it sat there, so I
- 6:08Speaker 6: just I threw it away.
- 6:09Speaker 4: This I wanted.
- 6:11Speaker 7: I do.
- 6:11Speaker 4: I do want to try some.
- 6:13Speaker 3: More next next time. Let us know you're let.

- 6:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Uh coffee cake, love coffee cakeffee, coffee cake.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I love coffee cake.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I used to make coffee cake at home. Sometimes you
- 6:45Speaker 1: put strusel on it.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the only way to do it.
- 6:50Speaker 10: Yeah, okay, I wanted to I really wanted to ask, though, Uh, Geina,
- 6:56Speaker 10: do you have like a do you have a book
- 6:57Speaker 10: or something about your dietaria?
- 7:01Speaker 3: It is complicated, isn't it?
- 7:03Speaker 4: It should be, it really is.
- 7:04Speaker 9: It's like over the years, I've been trying to figure
- 7:06Speaker 9: out what you can't can't eat.
- 7:08Speaker 2: It's not a matter of can and can't. It's a choice.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I'm not allergic to it.
- 7:16Speaker 4: It's swilling.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I eat like a toddler. That's basically. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 2: it's basically.
- 7:22Speaker 3: She prefers her.

- 7:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, cool, all right, thank you, good morning?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Do we I don't know it's Zane, isn't it. What's up?
- 7:51Speaker 4: Zane?
- 7:53Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 7:57Speaker 4: Start again?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Your phone went yeah, Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 3: He's having phone problems. Call Vagacine, all.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Right, buy a new phone. Yeah, let's go to Travis Hell.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah what Hi Travis?
- 8:14Speaker 5: How you guys are doing good?
- 8:16Speaker 4: What you got?
- 8:18Speaker 5: So a couple of things real quick. I just want
- 8:20Speaker 5: to give myself a plug because I played drums and
- 8:23Speaker 5: Reverend Morley with Bill Frost.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I oh, I didn't know. I didn't know, uh Bill?
- 8:30Speaker 1: Or or do you now? Did Bill play with Reverend Morley?
- 8:34Speaker 5: Yes? He never. He never mentions that on Mondays.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So I just got Dan Morley's his that new record,
- 8:41Speaker 1: this Circle of Willis, and.
- 8:44Speaker 4: It's it's very good album. It's pretty remarkable. I would
- 8:48Speaker 4: say that's you on drums in that.
- 8:51Speaker 5: No, he recorded those over the last few years. And
- 8:54Speaker 5: I've been playing with him over the last six months.
- 8:58Speaker 5: And Bill's been in the bands and I've been showing
- 9:01Speaker 5: up the practice and rehearsing, and we're going to be
- 9:03Speaker 5: playing in Quarters in August with Magna Vega. So I
- 9:07Speaker 5: wanted to plug that. I wanted to plug that, But
- 9:09Speaker 5: I also want to plug my cover band. We're called
- 9:13Speaker 5: beer pressure, and we are the rowdiest, most crazy, outgoing
- 9:18Speaker 5: cover band in Salt Lake right now. And we are
- 9:20Speaker 5: playing at Barbara Coast August First Redemption on the fifteenth,
- 9:27Speaker 5: and Echo Lake at a crazy outside party on the
- 9:31Speaker 5: third of July.
- 9:32Speaker 3: All right, what are some bands you cover in your
- 9:35Speaker 3: cover band?
- 9:36Speaker 5: We're doing Nirvana, We're doing Rage against the Machine. We
- 9:39Speaker 5: pull off some prints. We'll do I mean Alice and chains, blur,
- 9:47Speaker 5: I mean we do it all work anything that anyone
- 9:50Speaker 5: wants to hear, a.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Little bit of everything. All right, thanks Travis.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Hey, guys, have a good day.
- 9:56Speaker 4: All right, let's go to Taylor.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Hello.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, what more banded information?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Taylor?
- 10:04Speaker 11: Hey you guys. I love your show. I've been listening
- 10:06Speaker 11: since I was a little bag back in that early
- 10:09Speaker 11: two thousands. I just want to call about my band
- 10:12Speaker 11: and tell you guys, I love listening to you. But
- 10:15Speaker 11: I played in a band called over Under and we're
- 10:18Speaker 11: about to go on our tour to the Midwest and
- 10:22Speaker 11: then the West Coast.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Okay, and yeah, fun like have you been? Have you
- 10:28Speaker 4: been on tour before we did?
- 10:31Speaker 11: We went back in twenty twenty two with a band
- 10:35Speaker 11: called the back Seat Lovers.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, I like that Moon.
- 10:39Speaker 11: Yeah they're great, they're good buddies in mine. And then yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 11: they're just they're they're really nice. But yeah, I wanted
- 10:43Speaker 11: to call and say hi and tell you guys, we're
- 10:45Speaker 11: going well, get.
- 10:47Speaker 3: A hold of us from the road and let us.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Know how it's going.
- 10:51Speaker 11: Okay, great, Hey, I love the show. Guys, have a
- 10:53Speaker 11: great day.
- 10:55Speaker 1: We'll see you all right, Brent. Hello, Yeah, what more
- 10:59Speaker 1: music information from Brent?
- 11:00Speaker 4: What's up?
- 11:02Speaker 7: Yeah, that's funny.
- 11:03Speaker 9: It kind of worked perfectly for me. I called late
- 11:07Speaker 9: last year about a podcast that I was beginning to
- 11:10Speaker 9: launch called Music Is Life, and I just want to
- 11:14Speaker 9: let you guys know that it's out there. It started
- 11:16Speaker 9: January first this year, and I interview bands from around
- 11:21Speaker 9: the world and ask them questions, you know, about the
- 11:23Speaker 9: personal life, to why they got into music, why the
- 11:27Speaker 9: genre they chose, and different things like that. And so
- 11:29Speaker 9: I've interviewed bands from Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Australia.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Over the place.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Were these are some of these bands bands we would
- 11:38Speaker 1: know or are they just sort of bubbling under the surface.
- 11:42Speaker 9: Well, some of them are bubbling on the service. They
- 11:45Speaker 9: may be popular in their own countries, but not very
- 11:49Speaker 9: not well known here in the United States. So I'm
- 11:51Speaker 9: trying to, you know, help people out, you know, to
- 11:54Speaker 9: listen to them and find them out and maybe get
- 11:56Speaker 9: them over here to tour and everything. And so I
- 11:58Speaker 9: listened to the last two and I might have to
- 12:01Speaker 9: see if I can reach out to them and interview.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Them for my plot.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Sure. What's the name of the podcast again.
- 12:07Speaker 9: It's called Music is Life?
- 12:10Speaker 4: Well, you know who you need to interview, Marco.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Marco, this is just Italian guy, and it's the Italian
- 12:19Speaker 6: guy who keeps sending us as records.
- 12:21Speaker 3: It's my favorite, babe.
- 12:22Speaker 9: Well, yeah, there we go. I might have to do that.
- 12:26Speaker 3: S Y S Y S s Y S M A
- 12:31Speaker 3: m A there you go.
- 12:33Speaker 9: All right, I'll to check that out then, yeah you should.
- 12:35Speaker 4: He's really terrible.
- 12:40Speaker 9: Well, I appreciate it, and I enjoyed listening to your
- 12:42Speaker 9: show everybody.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Thank you, Brent.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And we had someone at our event on Saturday.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I also give it speaking of other bands, give us
- 12:51Speaker 2: a CD of their band that I think Katie brought
- 12:56Speaker 2: in and gave to Doug.
- 12:58Speaker 3: So we got lots of lots of musicians locally.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Yeah, we have a local local music feature at eight
- 13:04Speaker 6: o'clock every night with Doug Wilde.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Uh eight oh one at eight oh one. Oh yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 4: I think he's playing some Reverend Morley on that.
- 13:12Speaker 6: And yeah he's he's been digging out some new stuff,
- 13:15Speaker 6: some old stuff, but local bands.
- 13:18Speaker 3: You can tell this is a local radio station.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Dan Morley has been involved in local music for years
- 13:23Speaker 1: and years years.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Was he Scabs on Strike?
- 13:26Speaker 7: Yes?
- 13:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that was Dan Morley way back in the day.
- 13:29Speaker 2: His big hit off that up your Button around the Corner.
- 13:33Speaker 2: It was his big hit on that.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It was it.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Yes, that's Morley.
- 13:45Speaker 6: All right, let's see high lords. I'm going to Hawaii Awahu.
- 13:51Speaker 6: It's my first time. If any of you been there,
- 13:54Speaker 6: do you have any recommendations?
- 13:57Speaker 4: Which which island? Oh, that's where Honolulu is.
- 14:01Speaker 3: That's where.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Hang out in Honolulu. It's a funny I'm more familiar
- 14:06Speaker 4: with Malaiwi.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, we went to the big island.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Now, I'm not kidding. Go look at the Mormon Temple
- 14:14Speaker 1: on Hawahu. It's a it's a really remarkable building. It's
- 14:18Speaker 1: around on the north shore and it's a beautiful drive.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And the one about halfway there or coming back, there's
- 14:25Speaker 1: this food trucks place there are like eight food trucks
- 14:28Speaker 1: there and you just great hamburgers and other food there.
- 14:34Speaker 4: All right, and we have just enough time for your joke.
- 14:36Speaker 10: Hello, yeah, what.
- 14:41Speaker 4: And and or not? Hi?
- 14:44Speaker 8: Good morning, Hi, I have a chicken joke.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Okay, why do chicken coops have two doors?
- 14:53Speaker 7: Oh?
- 14:54Speaker 4: I think I've heard this.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Why why did chicken coops have two doors?
- 15:00Speaker 4: Because if it had four it would be a.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Hello, yeah, it would be a sedan.
- 15:07Speaker 4: That's right, Yes, that's right.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I had I'd heard that before, and it had elicited
- 15:13Speaker 1: the same.
- 15:15Speaker 4: It's okay, and it's great. No, it's it's great. It's
- 15:19Speaker 4: it's great.
- 15:20Speaker 1: It elicited the same response I heard when I heard
- 15:22Speaker 1: the first time, which was.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I liked it, all right, it is it's a good.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Joke, thank you. Yeah, all right, it had four doors,
- 15:34Speaker 4: it would be
