- 0:00We get an intimation of what we should do, how we should respond
- 0:04to a situation. Then all the excuses and
- 0:08justifications and needs and temporizing begin.
- 0:12And we find that there are good reasons why we should not do
- 0:17exactly in the precise way that the inner guidance tells us
- 0:22something should be done. It is not the time.
- 0:26There are so many issues or obstacles.
- 0:29There may be negative consequences from feedback or.
- 0:32Pushback when we try to act. Whatever it may be, the guidance
- 0:37gets watered down. Generally, this may be due to
- 0:41fear, self-interest, desire, laziness or a form of mental
- 0:48arrogance based on a knowledge of how things are done.
- 0:53In order for the inner guidance to have its optimum impact, the
- 0:57seeker must be able to overcome these neutralizing effects and
- 1:02that is why the mother calls for a complete surrender, implying
- 1:06that the mental, vital and physical resistances basically
- 1:11get out of the way of the process without taking into
- 1:15account self-interest or any kind of bargaining, the mother
- 1:20writes. Quote And there comes a time
- 1:24when 1 feels a kind of inner guidance, something which is
- 1:27leading one very perceptibly in all that one does.
- 1:31But then for the guidance to have its maximum power, one must
- 1:36naturally add to it a conscious surrender.
- 1:39One must be sincerely determined to follow the indication given
- 1:43by the higher force. If one does that, then one saves
- 1:48years of study. One can seize the result
- 1:51extremely rapidly. If one also does that, the
- 1:55result comes very rapidly, but for that it must be done with
- 2:00sincerity and a kind of inner spontaneity.
- 2:05If one wants to try without this surrender, one may succeed, as
- 2:09one can also succeed in developing 1's personal will and
- 2:13making it into a very considerable power.
- 2:17But that takes a very long time and one meets many obstacles and
- 2:22the result is very precarious. One must be very persistent,
- 2:26obstinate, persevering, and one is sure to succeed, but only
- 2:31after a great labor. Make your surrender with a
- 2:36sincere, complete, self giving and you will go ahead at full
- 2:40speed. You will go much faster.
- 2:44But you must not do this calculatingly, for that spoils
- 2:48everything. End Quote Reference Sri
