- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to a DM podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We'll try to keep it as nice as we can,
- 0:05Speaker 2: but you might hear the occasional swear word in No Dribble.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Don't tell them.
- 0:21Speaker 2: All right, Hello, and welcome to No Dribble, the podcast
- 0:24Speaker 2: that will stop at no lengths to talk about netball
- 0:27Speaker 2: and everything besides. My name is Carolyn Swindell. I'm coming
- 0:30Speaker 2: to you from London tonight. That's how committed we are
- 0:33Speaker 2: to you guys. I'm joined as always by.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Catherine Cox in Sydney at a very reasonable hour.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yeah, and Liz Ellis on the Northern Rivers are also
- 0:44Speaker 4: quite a reasonable hour up here. And funnily enough, I
- 0:48Speaker 4: think most of austrtomy is back to the same time.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah, seaboard, Yeah it is.
- 0:54Speaker 4: And that's a weird way for you to avoid getting
- 0:56Speaker 4: an extra hour sleep. Carolyn swim now going to England and.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Get it the wrong time to go, isn't it.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been. It's been a wild few days. Jetlag
- 1:05Speaker 2: and jetlag with children even better.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I was about to ask you how did the flight
- 1:10Speaker 1: go with the kids?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Oh? Flight was great. I mean eleven and sixteen. They
- 1:14Speaker 2: don't want to talk to us at all.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So and so.
- 1:18Speaker 2: You know, occasionally there'd be a tap on the shoulder
- 1:20Speaker 2: and it's like, why are you bothering me? Aren't their
- 1:22Speaker 2: flight attendants who can help you with everything you need
- 1:24Speaker 2: while we're in the air. I'm suspending parenting for the flight.
- 1:28Speaker 1: But no, that was great.
- 1:29Speaker 2: But then we get here and they will take zero
- 1:32Speaker 2: advice on how to deal with jet lag. So it's
- 1:35Speaker 2: like they won't have an afternoon nap when we say
- 1:37Speaker 2: we're going down for one afternoon app one hour and
- 1:39Speaker 2: so then we end up at a restaurant and they're
- 1:41Speaker 2: both fast asleep. It's like, oh, that's just made it cheaper,
- 1:43Speaker 2: hasn't it.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I saw that photo that was incredible. Now let's just
- 1:47Speaker 1: acknowledge what a trooper you are. Because what time is
- 1:50Speaker 1: it right there, right now in London?
- 1:52Speaker 2: It's help us one. That's in the morning of halp
- 1:55Speaker 2: us one. But I can't miss this chat. My god,
- 1:58Speaker 2: what a weekend, huge weekend huge.
- 2:00Speaker 1: This tipping competition is officially making me crazy, though I
- 2:08Speaker 1: found ye're reaping the rewards. Well, yes, I did get
- 2:11Speaker 1: four from four, but I changed them so much in
- 2:14Speaker 1: the lead up for from four wrong.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but it's as hard to get four wrong
- 2:20Speaker 2: as it is to get four right.
- 2:21Speaker 1: That's true, That is true. Yeah, we do need to
- 2:24Speaker 1: have a good prize for coming last, because you're right. Yeah,
- 2:27Speaker 1: we do.
- 2:27Speaker 3: We do.
- 2:27Speaker 2: We have a woulden it's not a wooden spin. We
- 2:29Speaker 2: have a golden turkey would Yeah. No, but which I
- 2:31Speaker 2: can't win, but I will keep good company with people who.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Are in the way for it and I love it.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But I did change my tips probably three or four
- 2:40Speaker 1: times in the lead up to the weekend, so much
- 2:44Speaker 1: so I was saying to one of the dribblers on
- 2:46Speaker 1: Facebook yesterday that I actually forgot who I ended up
- 2:48Speaker 1: landing on and tipping, so I had to check them
- 2:50Speaker 1: before all the games. But then I was watching them
- 2:52Speaker 1: and trying to commentate a game. You've got a vested
- 2:55Speaker 1: interesting difficult.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It's making me nice.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Did you Are you putting more time and effort into
- 3:02Speaker 4: your tipping than you do into your commentary prep.
- 3:05Speaker 1: No, I do a lot of country press, But then
- 3:07Speaker 1: it's that stuff that makes me go, oh, maybe I
- 3:09Speaker 1: should change my tip. Oh but what about And then
- 3:12Speaker 1: even I even text Sue Gordion and I was like,
- 3:15Speaker 1: let me know when the team list comes in. I'm
- 3:17Speaker 1: just curious. That's curious as to how are you going
- 3:20Speaker 1: to start your game before I put my tips in?
- 3:23Speaker 2: Ah, So every second week you are required to do
- 3:27Speaker 2: a video to share with dribblers.
- 3:29Speaker 1: In advance what you will be doing.
- 3:31Speaker 2: You don't have to do it every week because that
- 3:32Speaker 2: gives everyone an unfair advantage. Clearly, I do it every
- 3:35Speaker 2: week to give everyone the same advantage of well, here's
- 3:39Speaker 2: what not to do. But yes, so next week you'll
- 3:42Speaker 2: have to share it in advance, as there have been
- 3:44Speaker 2: many requests.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Okay, done. I noted, isn't it funny though that this
- 3:47Speaker 1: weekend was meant to be the hard weekend to tip?
- 3:50Speaker 1: And then all this it was all of the games
- 3:52Speaker 1: were apart from the one the Giants and the Firebirds
- 3:54Speaker 1: were ten goal plus margins.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It was a big margin, wasn't it So?
- 3:59Speaker 1: I mean, they weren't really hard to tip. They will
- 4:01Speaker 1: blow out scorelines. But we're all having a panic attack
- 4:03Speaker 1: about it. Oh, it's going to be such a hard
- 4:05Speaker 1: round to tipsy. God, something's gonna throw my tips up
- 4:08Speaker 1: in the air next weekend.
- 4:09Speaker 3: She said. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Going for the home teams like it's a bit sort
- 4:19Speaker 4: of it's a bit crap hola when I sort of
- 4:22Speaker 4: logged in. Actually I did and did all my tips
- 4:23Speaker 4: for the year last week and just picked all the
- 4:25Speaker 4: home teams. And you know when you say for the margin,
- 4:28Speaker 4: I just picked one because I really hope it gets
- 4:30Speaker 4: a lots of one goal margins.
- 4:32Speaker 3: And so that it meant that I was.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I wasn't invested like you were, Catherine in the outcome,
- 4:37Speaker 4: but I did just sit back and enjoy it.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I was.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I just really enjoyed watching this weekend. And I've got
- 4:41Speaker 4: to say, Cafaine, I loved watching your interview with Grace
- 4:45Speaker 4: Nowek that played on Saturday night after the matches.
- 4:49Speaker 3: It was so good.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah, she puts a great idea on him, and isn't
- 4:53Speaker 1: she very impressive. I don't like all the chat I've
- 4:56Speaker 1: got to say about she's doing all this for the
- 4:58Speaker 1: black dress. Oh, we're not trying to make the black
- 5:01Speaker 1: dress any better.
- 5:04Speaker 3: No, it probably will. Of course it probably will make
- 5:07Speaker 3: the black dress.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Of course it will. But that happens with everybody, doesn't it.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Everyone that comes over a place here goes back to
- 5:12Speaker 1: their countries. They're better athletes, they share the intel, all
- 5:15Speaker 1: that sort of stuff and it makes will netbulk.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yeah, but what really came out to me in that
- 5:19Speaker 4: interview was just I mean, we knew this, but then
- 5:21Speaker 4: you hear someone like Grace Newick he say it just
- 5:24Speaker 4: to high regard that Briani acle is held in by
- 5:26Speaker 4: people who she coaches.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Do you know what was incredible to Briani was actually
- 5:31Speaker 1: saying after I did the interview, she was telling me
- 5:33Speaker 1: about what was happening with Grace and the New Zealand team.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So you know how the Swifts played the Kiwi squad
- 5:40Speaker 1: in the preseason. So at that game, Noline Tadua presented
- 5:47Speaker 1: basically Grace to Briani and they did this thing where
- 5:51Speaker 1: they accepted her into the family because that is a
- 5:55Speaker 1: very New Zealand kind of culture. Isn't that fantastic? So
- 5:58Speaker 1: they basically had not all I don't want to say ceremony,
- 6:00Speaker 1: but they made quite the deal about this is our
- 6:03Speaker 1: player we're giving to you to look after and Briandie
- 6:06Speaker 1: there accepting her into the Swifts family. And I was thought,
- 6:09Speaker 1: that's just so incredible, isn't it. There's so much more
- 6:11Speaker 1: than netball being played.
- 6:14Speaker 2: What an incredibly generous gesture to say to Grace, go enjoy,
- 6:19Speaker 2: have fun, you know, have this adventure. I think that's
- 6:22Speaker 2: really lovely.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah. And the other thing that we found out that
- 6:25Speaker 1: same weekend when we're doing all these stories and shooting
- 6:27Speaker 1: these interviews is that Grace has been doing choie with
- 6:30Speaker 1: the Swifts. So at least once or twice a week,
- 6:33Speaker 1: she's teaching them a Maori song and they're singing it
- 6:36Speaker 1: together and it's quite incredible. So they gave me a
- 6:39Speaker 1: little bit of an example, and it's amazing. But she's
- 6:42Speaker 1: been doing that every week with them, and so that
- 6:44Speaker 1: all of them been together and they sing this song.
- 6:47Speaker 4: That's phenomenal, isn't it. Imagine if you and I are
- 6:49Speaker 4: in the team, Catherine, we'd.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Read when the Swifts were showing us well singing it
- 6:56Speaker 1: to us. I noticed that Paige Hadley was singing like
- 6:59Speaker 1: I singing in that anthem, in mouthing it. So there's
- 7:05Speaker 1: definitely people that have better voices than ones that just
- 7:07Speaker 1: kind of want to be a part of it but
- 7:08Speaker 1: don't really want anyone else to hear what they said.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Oh I love that's so cool though. It's amazing what
- 7:13Speaker 4: players can bring to teams and just add to the culture.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Well, I guess that's a question for you, Kath, not
- 7:19Speaker 2: for me, because yeah, look in under Nines, I can
- 7:22Speaker 2: remember when this girl Karen.
- 7:23Speaker 3: No.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I don't charge, obviously, but.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I'm the Karen generation. I would like to stand up
- 7:29Speaker 2: for the Karens. I feel like this is a terrible
- 7:31Speaker 2: besmirching of a reputation and a way to just try
- 7:34Speaker 2: to silence people who are trying to just assert themselves.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Frankly in most cases. Obviously it's funny as well when
- 7:41Speaker 2: you see the Karens going wild. But imagine pe called
- 7:43Speaker 2: Karen in this fuddy economy.
- 7:45Speaker 1: It's terrible. It would be very funny. I kind of
- 7:48Speaker 1: wish one of us was a Karen bags Nott.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So in the Valor Dribblers tipping comp this week, we
- 7:53Speaker 2: did have one clear standout. There were twenty five tippers
- 7:57Speaker 2: who got a perfect round, including youkth congratulations, so you
- 8:00Speaker 2: get the bonus point because you get bingo and but
- 8:03Speaker 2: we do have one and the person who won the
- 8:06Speaker 2: round their tipping name. I prefer Quidditch.
- 8:10Speaker 4: I know, outrageous, that is so mind you Quidditch does
- 8:14Speaker 4: I think have echoes of netball, So that's okay.
- 8:17Speaker 3: They are related.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Can you I don't even know what you're talking about.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I say, look Catherine's face.
- 8:22Speaker 4: We don't read enough, Catherine, you know how we keep
- 8:24Speaker 4: talking about what you have to read. I think Ewan
- 8:27Speaker 4: Harper should read the Harry Potter books.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Okay, so what is Quidditch?
- 8:31Speaker 3: Is a game in Harry Potter.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Man that's sending me from the Undernines to the World Cup.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Though it's a big read.
- 8:39Speaker 3: But like the first one's easy.
- 8:41Speaker 4: The Philosopher's Stone, Yeah, that's an easy reader.
- 8:44Speaker 3: That's a good easy read.
- 8:45Speaker 4: There's a bit of quidditch, so it's a bit of
- 8:46Speaker 4: sport in it, and it's not too dark. I think
- 8:49Speaker 4: I think you and half would really like. You read
- 8:53Speaker 4: Harry Potter for the first time with Evelyn when she
- 8:55Speaker 4: was five or six, and we loved it and we
- 8:58Speaker 4: got into it from there, and then you can just read,
- 9:00Speaker 4: like I tried to read them as they like, as
- 9:03Speaker 4: they came out originally, So you read it and then
- 9:05Speaker 4: you let it go for a few months and then
- 9:07Speaker 4: you pick up the next one six months later or
- 9:09Speaker 4: something like that, because I think they came out every year,
- 9:11Speaker 4: didn't they for seven or eight years?
- 9:12Speaker 3: So I think you could pick up a bit of
- 9:14Speaker 3: Harry Potter, Catherine, and then.
- 9:16Speaker 4: You pick up number two next year, so you're not
- 9:17Speaker 4: going to do them all at once. It's not like
- 9:19Speaker 4: Lord of the Rings or something like that.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Right, Well, I just thought that was another one of
- 9:23Speaker 1: the occasions that you two smarty pants as were talking
- 9:25Speaker 1: about something that I just didn't know. So I kind
- 9:28Speaker 1: of did you notice?
- 9:28Speaker 4: I laughed like I knew what you were talking about,
- 9:34Speaker 4: which is a game in Harry Potter Catherine, and it's
- 9:36Speaker 4: actually not dissimilar from netball, Like you've got to get
- 9:39Speaker 4: the ball through.
- 9:40Speaker 3: A ring and there's you know, there's beatas.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I would think that would be your goalkeeper totally to
- 9:47Speaker 4: beat people.
- 9:49Speaker 2: We're going to need to talk about Sarah Stage being
- 9:52Speaker 2: a beat. How good was Sarah Claiu.
- 9:54Speaker 1: It was so great that whole game. They are I'm
- 9:57Speaker 1: sorry the Swifts are untouched ball? Do you know what
- 10:01Speaker 1: I wanted to know? Though I haven't looked it up yet,
- 10:04Speaker 1: watching that game, I started to celibate with a little
- 10:07Speaker 1: bit of excitement. When are the Swiss flaying at Thunderbirds?
- 10:10Speaker 1: That's what we all want to see. I feel like
- 10:12Speaker 1: the only team that's going to compete with them and
- 10:15Speaker 1: stop them defensively? Is the thunderbirds? They just looked flawless
- 10:19Speaker 1: and they look unbeatable.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Well, Grace, Nowki and Shamira. That's got the juices flying.
- 10:29Speaker 4: So do you want to get back to the tipp
- 10:30Speaker 4: incum given that we given that we diverted, you.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Started with the tipping cup? Who went to quidditch?
- 10:35Speaker 2: Well, I just have to ask something. I keep pronouncing
- 10:37Speaker 2: it Grace Neweki. But I noticed that in commentary both
- 10:41Speaker 2: you and Gordy are saying, Grace, Weki?
- 10:43Speaker 1: So do you have it'ski? It's not Noki. Okay no,
- 10:49Speaker 1: so we all of the international series we were doing
- 10:52Speaker 1: Noweki and then since then we've been pulled aside. I
- 10:57Speaker 1: noticed that I want to get it right if I'm
- 11:00Speaker 1: getting it wrong.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yes, Hey, can we just queste Carolyn whose routinely called Caroline.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yes, that was met for a while. Hey, back to
- 11:08Speaker 1: the leader of the tipping board though, what's the difference
- 11:11Speaker 1: in the numbers? So do you said there's twenty five
- 11:13Speaker 1: of us that had the perfect score, but then why
- 11:16Speaker 1: is one up the top.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Because of the margin picking of the margin difference, So
- 11:21Speaker 2: it was a one point margin difference. So I don't
- 11:24Speaker 2: know whether that means I prefer quidditch got it within
- 11:26Speaker 2: one point or was that was absolutely on the head,
- 11:30Speaker 2: but there was we had one clear. If we have
- 11:32Speaker 2: two people who get the same number of answers right
- 11:35Speaker 2: and kick the exact same margin, it's whoever puts their
- 11:39Speaker 2: tips in first out of those, so we will always
- 11:41Speaker 2: have a winner of a particular week. Another question your
- 11:45Speaker 2: quidditch that I saw. Can people still join the tipping
- 11:49Speaker 2: comp or is it absolutely? And here's what's great. If
- 11:53Speaker 2: they join now, they'll be ahead of me on the
- 11:55Speaker 2: ladder because they'll just get a default score of the average,
- 11:58Speaker 2: so they don't come in own motherless last they.
- 12:03Speaker 1: You're gonna tap out and tap back in again, aren't
- 12:05Speaker 1: you hey?
- 12:06Speaker 2: They jump over me and they jump over Liz in
- 12:09Speaker 2: this I'm quite happy city. Where I'm there's twenty five
- 12:12Speaker 2: people who got the same score that you did, Cat,
- 12:14Speaker 2: there's only nineteen who got the score I did. So
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think it's a much more elite group area the
- 12:20Speaker 2: none from fours. I'd look honestly, if I could have tried,
- 12:24Speaker 2: I couldn't have picked none. You know, It's like I
- 12:25Speaker 2: can't believe that I've managed to do that in the
- 12:27Speaker 2: very first round. How many rounds will I be able
- 12:30Speaker 2: to do I can't. I don't think that's sustainable. I
- 12:32Speaker 2: think getting all wrong is a difficult task to set
- 12:37Speaker 2: myself to. But I'm really happy with them in the
- 12:39Speaker 2: first and I tried to get four right.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I tried.
- 12:42Speaker 2: This is the complete fluke that I managed to do this.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I'm one of nineteen and we are an elite bunch. Liz,
- 12:49Speaker 2: you're sitting four hundred and thirty sixth ninety seventh god
- 12:56Speaker 2: twenty home.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Do you know what excites me about those starts? For you?
- 13:00Speaker 1: How many people are in our tipping comb?
- 13:02Speaker 3: So good?
- 13:03Speaker 1: It's great, isn't it so good?
- 13:06Speaker 2: And nice that the Queenslanders were able to get on
- 13:08Speaker 2: board too, So thanks everybody for getting around. Listen, if
- 13:11Speaker 2: you did happen to join the tip and comp and
- 13:13Speaker 2: you are from Queensland, we have no way of knowing that,
- 13:16Speaker 2: so you know, don't tell us. Just keep doing what
- 13:19Speaker 2: you're doing and stay with stay and having fun. And
- 13:21Speaker 2: if you went a prize, we just want an email address,
- 13:24Speaker 2: so don't say, oh, here's my email address from camp
- 13:27Speaker 2: Hill in Brisbane, Just say, here's my email address and
- 13:30Speaker 2: we'll all move on.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Sounds good. Hey, did did anybody else notice across the
- 13:34Speaker 1: weekend one of our various stute dribblers did that not
- 13:38Speaker 1: many of the teams are coming together in the traditional
- 13:41Speaker 1: huddle postgame anymore.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, what's that?
- 13:43Speaker 2: Why?
- 13:43Speaker 1: Why?
- 13:44Speaker 3: So?
- 13:44Speaker 1: Apparently this has been a discussion amongst the players, and
- 13:49Speaker 1: it happened off the back of the International series last
- 13:51Speaker 1: year because the teams when Australia's playing, they're playing against
- 13:55Speaker 1: New Zealand every two or three days, and they just
- 13:58Speaker 1: thought that in the midst of a battle, coming together
- 14:01Speaker 1: and being rah rah and all blah blah blah blah blah,
- 14:04Speaker 1: probably wasn't the best thing to be doing, or it
- 14:07Speaker 1: just they didn't feel comfortable about it, so they had
- 14:09Speaker 1: that chat. This is now stretched into the sun Corpse
- 14:13Speaker 1: super NETBA, so the teams now will just line up
- 14:16Speaker 1: and walk past each other and shake hands as they
- 14:18Speaker 1: do in the AFL or the footy or whatever else.
- 14:21Speaker 1: That's the discussion. So it's been really interesting. I didn't
- 14:24Speaker 1: notice it too much postgame, but a few people certainly
- 14:27Speaker 1: did pick up and ask the question as to why
- 14:29Speaker 1: that was happening. So that's kind of the reason.
- 14:31Speaker 3: What do you think of that, Catherine.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Look, I'm not against that because I think you know,
- 14:39Speaker 1: the coming in traditional ra rah and everybody hugging is
- 14:43Speaker 1: I don't know, it gives a little sense of maybe
- 14:45Speaker 1: under twelves or whatever. This makes it a little bit
- 14:48Speaker 1: more I feel like, a bit more sporty, a bit
- 14:51Speaker 1: more gritty, like they do in the footy. But the
- 14:52Speaker 1: reason they do it in the footy codes is because
- 14:54Speaker 1: the field is so big, so by the time you
- 14:56Speaker 1: get everyone into the same place, it's just not practical.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I think the thing that we do miss out on,
- 15:01Speaker 1: particularly in the broadcast, is that somewhere some of the
- 15:04Speaker 1: really special moments happen when the captain's address, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 1: maybe there was a milestone on the opposition, or somebody's
- 15:11Speaker 1: announcing their retirement or something. You miss those really great
- 15:14Speaker 1: moments and it's great footage, I think. And the other
- 15:17Speaker 1: thing to think about too with this is that the
- 15:20Speaker 1: junior's copy, all of the grassroots copy the big girls,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and that's something you don't want to take away from
- 15:27Speaker 1: the sport. I mean, I think that's such a pure
- 15:29Speaker 1: wholesome moment that happens that now isn't there, and I
- 15:33Speaker 1: don't want to ever think that the young kids won't
- 15:35Speaker 1: want to do it anymore.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that haardly is like a real like.
- 15:39Speaker 4: It's a trademark of netball, isn't it When you fight
- 15:42Speaker 4: really hard against each other and you're pushing your shove
- 15:45Speaker 4: and you can test the ball and you can test
- 15:47Speaker 4: the space, and then at the end of the game
- 15:50Speaker 4: you actually come together and you acknowledge your opposition and
- 15:52Speaker 4: you acknowledge the umpires.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Well, if anyone cares what I think, I think it's
- 15:56Speaker 2: a real shame because I think what it is is
- 15:58Speaker 2: a massive equalizer, is that everybody is required to show
- 16:01Speaker 2: the same amount of aggression on court and then it's finished.
- 16:05Speaker 2: So it's not like it's one team is doing and
- 16:07Speaker 2: they then get a disadvantage because they are sort of
- 16:10Speaker 2: softer than the other team or whatever. I think it
- 16:12Speaker 2: is a trademark of our sport. It's one of the
- 16:13Speaker 2: things I'm.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Most proud of.
- 16:15Speaker 2: It's it moves me almost to tears after every game
- 16:18Speaker 2: when I see it, and I think it's from a parent,
- 16:22Speaker 2: a fan, a clearly tipping experts perspective. I think it's
- 16:28Speaker 2: a real shame if we lose that you know, once
- 16:31Speaker 2: again respecting the decisions, respecting the reasons, but thinking there's
- 16:35Speaker 2: a bigger thing at play here.
- 16:36Speaker 1: That's my two cents.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Carolyn Swindell. I think you should start the hashtag bring
- 16:40Speaker 4: back the huddle.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Bring back the Huddle. Well, I will for my thousand
- 16:45Speaker 2: followers or whatever. I don't know that it's going to
- 16:47Speaker 2: tweak the world at this stage, but I'm quite happy
- 16:50Speaker 2: to and I'll put it in any post that I do,
- 16:52Speaker 2: and it will make no sense, but that's fine. Bring
- 16:54Speaker 2: back the huddle. Fine, here's me, bring back the huddle.
- 17:01Speaker 1: People on the street will be coming up and giving
- 17:03Speaker 1: you a cuddle, I said, huddle.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Yeah, nice, just given us something to think about, right,
- 17:13Speaker 5: And you always should be thinking about how the sport
- 17:15Speaker 5: evolves and how it's changes and how do you not
- 17:18Speaker 5: leave your traditions behind and how do those traditions change?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Right, So it's a good thing to think about, and
- 17:24Speaker 4: you know the players are obviously thinking about it, and
- 17:26Speaker 4: good on them.
- 17:26Speaker 3: So yeah, it's great.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Hey London, tell us what have you been up to
- 17:33Speaker 1: over there? Have you been the Queen's guard horse yet?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Haven't actually seen Buckingham Palace yet? Have had just the
- 17:40Speaker 2: most magic couple of days I've had the weekend. The
- 17:43Speaker 2: weather has been perfect, you know, occasionally a little bit
- 17:46Speaker 2: cold in the morning, a little bit cold in the evenings,
- 17:48Speaker 2: but absolutely gorgeous. Yesterday I went down and saw my
- 17:51Speaker 2: cousins in Brighton and we lay on the beach. It's
- 17:54Speaker 2: one of those rock pebble beach, so not that comfortable,
- 17:58Speaker 2: but just beautiful. And the Brits were out in their
- 18:01Speaker 2: tens of thousands drinking beer on the beach. And it
- 18:03Speaker 2: was the Brighton Marathon yesterday, so possibly the worst day
- 18:06Speaker 2: to visit Brighton in.
- 18:08Speaker 1: The year, but it was fabulous. We went for a.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Walk yesterday morning to get from our apartment to the
- 18:14Speaker 2: train and walk past the Tower of London and over
- 18:18Speaker 2: the Tower Bridge and it's just it's just my bloody
- 18:21Speaker 2: love London. It's such a fabulous place.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Did you go to the Brighton as a Brighton Jetty
- 18:26Speaker 4: been rebuilt? You know the peer that got burnt we
- 18:29Speaker 4: were playing because we played test matches there, remember Catherine,
- 18:32Speaker 4: And there was that old peer that was all burnt out. No,
- 18:35Speaker 4: it got damaged in a storm or something that has
- 18:37Speaker 4: that been fixed. I think it was both a fire
- 18:40Speaker 4: and then it's been damaged in storms. No, it's still
- 18:42Speaker 4: sitting out there like a wreck. So the big pier
- 18:44Speaker 4: where they've got the amusement park at the end, it's
- 18:48Speaker 4: still there. But this is another one that was and
- 18:50Speaker 4: it's still sitting there as this oh my god, wreck
- 18:53Speaker 4: out in the water.
- 18:54Speaker 3: So that was their life, that was like that twenty
- 18:57Speaker 3: years ago.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so I think they've got a civic decision making
- 19:01Speaker 2: paralysis going on there. But yeah, it's just it's just
- 19:05Speaker 2: been great and so lovely to see the place.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So my daughter is.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Eleven and she's never been here. Lewis was here when
- 19:12Speaker 2: he was little, but to see this place through their
- 19:14Speaker 2: eyes that you know, you grow up. So many of
- 19:16Speaker 2: the images of London are so familiar to us in
- 19:18Speaker 2: story books and things, but when you get the chance
- 19:21Speaker 2: to see them for the first time in real life,
- 19:23Speaker 2: it's like, oh, wow, I know that place, but I've
- 19:25Speaker 2: never really seen it before.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So that's it's lovely with them. It's all about the movies,
- 19:29Speaker 1: isn't it. Like it's all the places they see in
- 19:32Speaker 1: movies and stuff that they want to go and tick off.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Dottie and I've got a great day to day.
- 19:36Speaker 2: There's a book that we read a lot when she
- 19:38Speaker 2: was a little girl called Ruby Red Shoes. Did your girls?
- 19:40Speaker 2: Did your kids ever read that? So it's an Australian author,
- 19:43Speaker 2: Kate Knapp, and it's just beautifully illustrated, and it's about
- 19:46Speaker 2: this little hare who lives with her grandmother and a
- 19:49Speaker 2: caravan and keeps chickens.
- 19:50Speaker 1: She's ruby red.
- 19:51Speaker 2: She's a very aware hair, so she's very in touch
- 19:53Speaker 2: with her feelings. But there's one book, Ruby Red Shoes
- 19:55Speaker 2: goes to London and one Ruby Red Shoes Goes to Paris,
- 19:58Speaker 2: and we used to read them a lot, and so
- 19:59Speaker 2: this is today. We're just saying, you boys going to
- 20:02Speaker 2: do whatever you want and we are just going to
- 20:04Speaker 2: follow the story books around. And she's eleven, so she's
- 20:07Speaker 2: she's almost too old to want to do this. So
- 20:09Speaker 2: it's just sort of a yeah, I feel very lucky
- 20:12Speaker 2: to have this moment where we can kind of revisit
- 20:15Speaker 2: the five year old her for.
- 20:16Speaker 1: A little bit. That's so cute.
- 20:19Speaker 3: And how long are you in London? For? Where do
- 20:21Speaker 3: you go after this?
- 20:22Speaker 2: So I will next be speaking to you from Amsterdam
- 20:25Speaker 2: and Amsterdam and then yes, we're in Switzerland and then
- 20:32Speaker 2: carefull of the brownie. I only accept brown is baked
- 20:35Speaker 2: by you, Catherine, that you bring to me at a
- 20:37Speaker 2: recording thank you. And then we finish up in Naples.
- 20:41Speaker 2: So oh lovely, wonderful, very lucky.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Wow.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But I reckon by the end of it, we'll be like,
- 20:47Speaker 2: I don't want to talk to you.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Anymore, don't you reckon?
- 20:51Speaker 4: Part of the fun of like, sometimes the best part
- 20:53Speaker 4: of a holiday is planning, and then you go on
- 20:55Speaker 4: the holiday and you're like, I think I liked planning
- 20:57Speaker 4: it better.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was with you.
- 20:58Speaker 3: It was nice. Can do that by myself.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I was thinking about that a week or two ago
- 21:03Speaker 2: and thinking, I'm sad that soon that will be over
- 21:06Speaker 2: because the process is not you know, the holiday is
- 21:07Speaker 2: not just the holiday. It is all that long process
- 21:10Speaker 2: of planning and stuff, and it's like, oh, se and
- 21:12Speaker 2: that'll be it. I just have to plan.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Another one reason I actually did that it was it
- 21:17Speaker 1: was awesome. I can't remember what year, but we got
- 21:19Speaker 1: a massive piece of cardboard and we basically drew up
- 21:23Speaker 1: the month in a calendar on it, and we got
- 21:26Speaker 1: to plot on the calendar what we wanted to do
- 21:28Speaker 1: in the US and work out the dates, and so
- 21:30Speaker 1: we had it up on the wall and we just
- 21:33Speaker 1: kept looking at it for months, didn't we getting all
- 21:35Speaker 1: excited about all we're going to go there first, and
- 21:37Speaker 1: we're going to do that. The only thing I put
- 21:38Speaker 1: on this calendar was Disneyland, I think on one of
- 21:41Speaker 1: the last days, because we would have been in la
- 21:43Speaker 1: and on our way home. But as it built out,
- 21:45Speaker 1: it was really cool. It's definitely one of the most
- 21:47Speaker 1: exciting parts of the planning.
- 21:48Speaker 4: And then we got to Disneyland and Catherine's anticipation of
- 21:51Speaker 4: Disneyland was much better than the actuality.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I still had fun. We've already talked about this.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Actually looking through some Fridays the other day and I
- 22:01Speaker 4: found a fund of Matthew with Mickey Mouse. It's the
- 22:04Speaker 4: biggest smile I've ever seen him in a fun Our
- 22:07Speaker 4: wedding day was with me.
- 22:09Speaker 1: See Mickey Mouse is a.
- 22:14Speaker 4: There's a series in that somewhere, isn't there.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Would it be comedy or would it be romantic comedy?
- 22:19Speaker 1: Sounds disturbing actually, but anyway, it's a horror film.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Isn't it a carnivorous mouse?
- 22:24Speaker 3: That's not good.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Well, we're not going anywhere near a theme park while
- 22:29Speaker 2: we are here.
- 22:30Speaker 1: So that is in my past. I believe controversial Hailey's
- 22:34Speaker 1: elis I believe Ostia had his birthday on Friday. He
- 22:39Speaker 1: went home? Were you?
- 22:41Speaker 4: I was not home Friday. I had all the mother
- 22:42Speaker 4: guilts on Friday. So I was in Melbourne for a
- 22:46Speaker 4: board meeting. And so he had his party the Sunday before,
- 22:50Speaker 4: and then on Thursday morning we gave him his present.
- 22:55Speaker 3: And then on Friday, Matthew was.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Working and I was working and everyone had to go
- 23:00Speaker 4: to Coffs Harbor for a nettle thing.
- 23:02Speaker 3: And this is not a good birthday.
- 23:05Speaker 4: So I went to one of his mate's place for
- 23:07Speaker 4: a sleepover and they sent photos of him having a
- 23:09Speaker 4: birthday cake and a birthday party. And so I was
- 23:12Speaker 4: having all the mum guilts and I said to him,
- 23:14Speaker 4: how's your birthday?
- 23:15Speaker 3: Make? The next day thinking and say I really missed
- 23:16Speaker 3: you guys.
- 23:17Speaker 4: I was great, loved it there.
- 23:19Speaker 1: So hey said the present that means it's a big one.
- 23:24Speaker 1: What'd you get him? Oh?
- 23:25Speaker 4: You know, I don't know if your kids have them.
- 23:27Speaker 3: The bay Blades. Have you seen them?
- 23:29Speaker 4: They're like tops and they come in a stadium and
- 23:32Speaker 4: it's a it's a statement's about sort of, I don't know.
- 23:35Speaker 4: It's a box and it's got a clear roof and
- 23:36Speaker 4: you and you pull these tops and they fight against
- 23:40Speaker 4: each other like so you try to knock each other out.
- 23:43Speaker 3: They're amazing. So yeah, that's what he got. He was
- 23:45Speaker 3: so excited. I did think.
- 23:47Speaker 4: You know, when you give your kid a present and
- 23:49Speaker 4: their reaction tells you if you won, And I know
- 23:52Speaker 4: I won his birthday present this year.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Google, and please hear that that's still a thing. Because
- 23:57Speaker 2: Lewis was right into them at about the same age.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It's funny and that sort of they just this generational thing.
- 24:02Speaker 2: They get to a certain agency and now is the
- 24:04Speaker 2: bay Blade era, And now I never heard of them.
- 24:08Speaker 1: They've been around since I was a little kid.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I remember them being bay Blades being like the coolest
- 24:13Speaker 2: toy when I was younger.
- 24:14Speaker 1: And I'm thirty three.
- 24:16Speaker 4: What I'm looking, I'm very confused because I'm fifty three,
- 24:20Speaker 4: So that's obviously they were invented well and truly after
- 24:23Speaker 4: I know I'm only fifty two.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Oh no, I'm fifty three ages, So yeah.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Obviously there's something that wasn't around when we were kids. Catherine,
- 24:32Speaker 4: because you're like we're from the era of cabbage Patch.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Kids, yes, and care bears, cabbage Patch kids. Did you
- 24:38Speaker 1: have a cabbage Patch kid?
- 24:40Speaker 3: No? My parents wouldn't buy met neither neither.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Oh God, do you know what I think that makes
- 24:46Speaker 1: us sense?
- 24:46Speaker 2: We should do a limited edition no dribble cabbage.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Patch, cabbage Patch they didn't do anything that was that
- 24:53Speaker 4: was super expensive, but they didn't do anything.
- 24:55Speaker 1: The kids in our neighborhood had maybe three or four
- 24:58Speaker 1: of them. Oh, and it was whole of it, and
- 25:00Speaker 1: we had none. Wow, didn't get.
- 25:03Speaker 4: A barbie, didn't get a cabbage patch kid, didn't get
- 25:06Speaker 4: a care beer.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Oh, I tell you you're right. What did you have
- 25:09Speaker 1: as a kid? What was the go to toy for you?
- 25:12Speaker 3: A ball? Ball? Wow? Start paid off.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Let us not cry tears for the former Australian captain
- 25:20Speaker 2: of the Diamonds. Come on now, listen. I do have
- 25:22Speaker 2: to tell you guys, there's something speaking of kids. So
- 25:24Speaker 2: I got a very interesting text message during that. So
- 25:27Speaker 2: you know how, we've decreed that we will be naming
- 25:30Speaker 2: the firstborn child of one of our dribblers.
- 25:34Speaker 1: It's already happened.
- 25:35Speaker 2: No one gave birth during the week, but I got
- 25:38Speaker 2: a message from Julie Slager, who, as we.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Know, is Amy and NAT's mum.
- 25:41Speaker 2: When Nat and Amy were in the year six at
- 25:43Speaker 2: our local Catholic school, they made their confirmation. I'm not
- 25:46Speaker 2: sure if you know, and I don't really know a
- 25:48Speaker 2: lot about this, so I'm going to not assume anyone
- 25:51Speaker 2: else does, and I will read her lovely explanation. I'm
- 25:53Speaker 2: not sure if you know, but part of making your
- 25:55Speaker 2: confirmation is that you get to pick your own confirmation name.
- 25:58Speaker 2: You pick a saint to add to your name. But
- 26:00Speaker 2: as massive Swifts fans at the time, they just so
- 26:03Speaker 2: happened to pick Elizabeth and Catherine.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 26:13Speaker 2: I have no reason to doubt anything, Julie Slager tells me.
- 26:15Speaker 2: So she said, also great saints name, so it fitted
- 26:17Speaker 2: the brief, but definitely had another reason for them making
- 26:19Speaker 2: those choices. You already have people named after them.
- 26:24Speaker 1: We love you. That's brilliant.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I love it.
- 26:27Speaker 4: So can you can we find out who's Elizabeth and
- 26:30Speaker 4: who's Katherine?
- 26:31Speaker 3: And can you just accidentally call them that name Catherine?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yes? So where does it fit? When does the confirmation
- 26:38Speaker 1: name fit in? So let's say, for instance, I'm Katherine
- 26:41Speaker 1: Anne is my first name, middle name. Where's your confirmation name?
- 26:44Speaker 1: Go after that, after your middle name, before your surname. Yeap,
- 26:48Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's hysterical.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I made my confirmation. What are you six weeks?
- 26:54Speaker 4: Oh, I'm Ralph.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Laugh about it's Ralph sat name.
- 27:04Speaker 3: No, I had to go for Raphael.
- 27:06Speaker 4: So was Ralph, and mum was and my mum's Margaret,
- 27:09Speaker 4: and so I'm Elizabeth Margaret and I wanted to thought
- 27:12Speaker 4: I've got mum's name, well when I want dad's name.
- 27:13Speaker 4: So I had to go for Raphael. I think was
- 27:16Speaker 4: an angel. So that's the priest. And when I told
- 27:19Speaker 4: you Margaret Elizabeth Margaret Ralph Ellis that's me official name.
- 27:26Speaker 4: It doesn't go on any documentation other than something in
- 27:28Speaker 4: the Catholic Church. But yeah, I suspect I was trying
- 27:31Speaker 4: to be a bit contrary to everyone else, like everyone
- 27:34Speaker 4: was choosing nice names like.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Catherine and Elizabeth whatever.
- 27:37Speaker 4: But anyway, I just wanted to be a bit contrary,
- 27:40Speaker 4: and I thought, I'm going to go after the old
- 27:41Speaker 4: man and Elizabeth Margaret.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Oh, I love it.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I wonder if they've changed the rules now and you
- 27:48Speaker 2: have to pick one.
- 27:50Speaker 4: You know, like you're like the list of names in
- 27:53Speaker 4: some countries are certain names you can only have. I'm
- 27:55Speaker 4: sure maybe after I went through them, went right, No
- 27:57Speaker 4: more Ralph's.
- 27:59Speaker 1: We're so much more now. I definitely wouldn't be your
- 28:01Speaker 1: own gender. You'd be able to have anything these days.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Just wondering incorporate my dad's name into my name, just
- 28:06Speaker 4: breaking down barriers, that's.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Come on, and really all I was trying to do
- 28:14Speaker 4: was just get up people's noses.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Probably be a bit controversial. Well anyway, controversial. There are
- 28:19Speaker 2: you have two fine Sun Super and Airport players named
- 28:23Speaker 2: after you already, which how old are you right? They're
- 28:28Speaker 2: actually playing the game professional?
- 28:32Speaker 1: Do you know what I hang my hat on when
- 28:33Speaker 1: you talk about age and players? There are players that
- 28:36Speaker 1: you're playing that I play with same Ramelda.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Yeah, whilst she plays, I am so cheering for her
- 28:44Speaker 4: to keep playing for another decade.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Oh my god? So what was the crossover? How many years?
- 28:49Speaker 1: I can't remember?
- 28:50Speaker 4: So I first played against Ramelda in an international match
- 28:54Speaker 4: just playing for Jamaica might have been.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Like two thousand and five. Wow.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I played against her at the two thousand and seven
- 29:02Speaker 4: World Cup. That was my last World Cup. That was
- 29:05Speaker 4: probably her first.
- 29:07Speaker 2: So how were you when you retired, Liz thirty four?
- 29:11Speaker 3: Not as well as Catherine.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so Kath and I did this this podcast over
- 29:15Speaker 2: the back fence, and I did not realize until then
- 29:18Speaker 2: when Kath was telling it that you're thirty eight when
- 29:21Speaker 2: you retired professionally. That's amazing. What a buddy machine.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I don't have to run.
- 29:28Speaker 1: No, well, that's true too, but at the time, and
- 29:30Speaker 1: plus I had no Wilkinson. Oh yeah, god, I had
- 29:36Speaker 1: no injury, so I was able to play longer. And
- 29:40Speaker 1: I mean luxury definitely. But then you look at the
- 29:42Speaker 1: players still playing, and I look at Jeeva Mentor and think, God,
- 29:45Speaker 1: she's so old and she's still playing. But she's she
- 29:48Speaker 1: was only my age. She's only my age when I retired,
- 29:52Speaker 1: so she's not old at all. Crazy.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Oh, and then like, the better the sports science gets,
- 29:57Speaker 4: the better we understand recovery, the long people will be
- 30:01Speaker 4: able to play for them. With the maternity provisions now
- 30:04Speaker 4: in contracts, you would hope that players women can play
- 30:07Speaker 4: to their forty for.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Not to be shallow, but add to the mix, it's
- 30:10Speaker 1: actually financially.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Well, that's and that's the reason why a lot of
- 30:15Speaker 4: nothing shallow about it. No, And that's why a lot
- 30:18Speaker 4: of people retired, like late twenties, early thirty time.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I was young.
- 30:21Speaker 4: You know, you play a couple of World Cups and
- 30:22Speaker 4: then off you go and you have kids and or
- 30:25Speaker 4: pursue your career. You can do both now.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Surely that's why I hung around for so long, because
- 30:30Speaker 1: we started to make some money in the latter years.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Oh my god, I've done this for free for so long.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm hanging off for dear life. And you should make
- 30:39Speaker 1: no apology for that.
- 30:41Speaker 4: No, that's right, Matthew and I do laugh that both
- 30:43Speaker 4: of us retired from our sports the year before they
- 30:46Speaker 4: became professional. So retired from rugby before Super Rugby started,
- 30:52Speaker 4: and I retired from netball the year before A and
- 30:54Speaker 4: Z Champs started. So gus, that's why I would say
- 30:57Speaker 4: poverty stricken.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Well, I went to university in the very first year
- 31:00Speaker 2: of hex fees on last year before me, it was
- 31:06Speaker 2: going have you paid them off yet?
- 31:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Y paid that off thirty years ago. Actually,
- 31:12Speaker 2: I had a bit of a screw up with my
- 31:13Speaker 2: employer at the time. They came to me. One of
- 31:15Speaker 2: the parall girls came to me looking very terrified. Sakes,
- 31:19Speaker 2: we haven't been taking your hex out. So for several
- 31:21Speaker 2: months it was like we had three months left to
- 31:24Speaker 2: the end of the financial year, and it's like, all right,
- 31:25Speaker 2: we've got to pay this all of this for the
- 31:29Speaker 2: year before the end of the financial year. And so
- 31:30Speaker 2: it was a big chunk for a couple of months,
- 31:33Speaker 2: and then we made such inrods into it that when
- 31:35Speaker 2: the new financial year old over, I said, just keep
- 31:37Speaker 2: it at that. I just want to finish it. So
- 31:39Speaker 2: it was quite a favor to me. Actually, I just
- 31:40Speaker 2: lived on less. Obviously that was pre kids, pre mortgage,
- 31:43Speaker 2: pre anything like that. But it was like, let's just
- 31:45Speaker 2: get rid of this. So in their administrative screw up,
- 31:48Speaker 2: I managed to get out of my hextead earlier.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Yeah, well done, so as well as having a couple
- 31:54Speaker 4: of older players named after us. On the weekend, on Sunday,
- 31:59Speaker 4: I went to watch my little girl play in a
- 32:01Speaker 4: rep carnival and I met a little girl whose middle
- 32:05Speaker 4: name was Ellis. Oh that's cute, yeah, And I said,
- 32:10Speaker 4: I was digging for the compliment. I said, how come
- 32:13Speaker 4: them said you were the inspiration? And I was like, oh,
- 32:16Speaker 4: I expected you to say, oh, no, it's just like
- 32:19Speaker 4: you know, a family name. So that was really nice.
- 32:21Speaker 4: She was my favorite kid who I met on the weekend.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Oh, and she will forever be the favorite kid until
- 32:25Speaker 1: somebody else is named after you.
- 32:27Speaker 3: That's right. And she was a gold defender. I'm like, oh, well,
- 32:30Speaker 3: it's beautiful.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Speaking of other Ellis's, they had Rudy Ellis on Pivot
- 32:34Speaker 1: on Fox Netball on the weekend and they asked her
- 32:37Speaker 1: about her surname and apparently she gets asked all the
- 32:40Speaker 1: time if she's related to you.
- 32:43Speaker 3: The poor thing.
- 32:43Speaker 4: She probably just wants to get a tattoo. No, I'm
- 32:46Speaker 4: not related to Liz.
- 32:47Speaker 1: But she says. My response is always I wish.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Oh that's nice. I respond that about Rudy. Are you
- 32:53Speaker 4: related to Rudy?
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah? And she got all the good looking jeans of
- 32:56Speaker 3: the family.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Well, my husband doesn't know this. I'm going to make
- 33:02Speaker 2: a revelation. I'm a Queenslander. And of course my son
- 33:04Speaker 2: Lewis is named after Wally Lewis, so he doesn't know that. No,
- 33:08Speaker 2: I'm making that up.
- 33:09Speaker 4: But oh that's too funny. Hey, are we going to
- 33:16Speaker 4: talk about Live Wilkinson?
- 33:17Speaker 2: I think we should.
- 33:19Speaker 1: What do you want to talk about.
- 33:20Speaker 4: I thought you said you wanted to talk about her, Carolyn, God,
- 33:23Speaker 4: this is going well.
- 33:29Speaker 2: She does.
- 33:30Speaker 1: It is like watching you on court cap Did you
- 33:33Speaker 1: think that after watching on the weekend. I know you
- 33:35Speaker 1: wouldn't have seen on the weekend. I did know.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I did actually manage to watch that ould netball pass
- 33:39Speaker 2: and so so the games are not at too bad
- 33:41Speaker 2: a time, except I can't watch all of them because
- 33:43Speaker 2: we have to get out and get amongst it. But
- 33:45Speaker 2: able to watch. I was watching most of the swift
- 33:47Speaker 2: Fever game live. But yeah, it is like when when
- 33:50Speaker 2: when Gordy pointed that out, I sort of I hadn't
- 33:53Speaker 2: noticed it, But now that it's there, Oh.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I can see that.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Now you can't see it, can't unseen it.
- 33:59Speaker 1: That's annoying.
- 34:00Speaker 2: She does need a nice holispand though doesn't she she does?
- 34:03Speaker 1: My god, if she had an alicepand we would look
- 34:04Speaker 1: quite similar. Let's bring that out.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Maybe I'm try that to her, beautiful, a big ceremony
- 34:13Speaker 2: like Dave Nolan did for Graceking.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yes, yes, let me.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Know how in England they used to have the Order
- 34:21Speaker 4: of the Garter. Catherine could start the Order of the
- 34:24Speaker 4: alicepand nice.
- 34:25Speaker 1: What's the Order of the Garter? I haven't heard of
- 34:27Speaker 1: that to do.
- 34:28Speaker 4: With knights and garters, actually garters, Yeah, nights and garters.
- 34:35Speaker 1: That's a combination. I wouldn't have thought.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell you what. I'm going to research that
- 34:39Speaker 2: for this for next week. I'm going to come back
- 34:41Speaker 2: with the Knights of the Garter, what the history of
- 34:44Speaker 2: it is?
- 34:44Speaker 1: Because it'll be.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Some excellent English history, won't it, won't it.
- 34:47Speaker 1: So I'm on that.
- 34:48Speaker 2: I feel like I can just shout out the window
- 34:50Speaker 2: and someone will be able to tell me.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you about another great combo. I found
- 34:54Speaker 1: myself in the middle of on the weekend sequins and feathers.
- 34:58Speaker 3: What now?
- 34:59Speaker 1: So we had to do our hosting from the middle
- 35:02Speaker 1: of the court in Adelaide. Oh yes to us. The
- 35:07Speaker 1: pregame entertainment was about to start, and at each end
- 35:10Speaker 1: of the court we could see people dressed up with
- 35:13Speaker 1: pink sequin outfits, big feather bowlers and big feathers about
- 35:18Speaker 1: to run onto the court and do something. I looked
- 35:21Speaker 1: at him be and I'm like, oh my god, what's happening?
- 35:24Speaker 1: People obviously seeing this in Adelaide and taken photos and
- 35:27Speaker 1: put it on our not dribble Facebook page at all,
- 35:31Speaker 1: said that they were laughing their heads off and how
- 35:32Speaker 1: is this going to play out? So at one point
- 35:34Speaker 1: we were just surrounded by them. I thought, Okay, it's
- 35:36Speaker 1: not much we can do here, but carry on. I
- 35:38Speaker 1: feel a little under dressed.
- 35:41Speaker 2: You were completely professional. I thought it was absolutely wonderful.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I'm trying to find out there was there was a
- 35:47Speaker 2: photo posted by one of the dribblers there. God made
- 35:49Speaker 2: me laugh out loud seeing you stuck there in the
- 35:51Speaker 2: middle of it. Wish is she going to start shaking
- 35:53Speaker 2: hips and get involved? But no, you just stay contemplate
- 35:56Speaker 2: true to a professional. Calling Hey, Liz, just a we're
- 36:00Speaker 2: going to tell cat that she can watch Harry Potter
- 36:02Speaker 2: in the movie or do we just let her?
- 36:04Speaker 3: No read the book? No, don't tell that these movies available.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Because movies available, I don't happen.
- 36:11Speaker 4: The movies don't make sense if you haven't read the book.
- 36:13Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Carolin she frozen. Well, I don't know.
- 36:18Speaker 2: I was thinking about that because I haven't read all
- 36:20Speaker 2: the books.
- 36:21Speaker 1: But I'm just.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Trying to work out how much commentary that I get
- 36:25Speaker 2: from my son whether that was helpful to watch it.
- 36:29Speaker 2: I don't recall needing a whole lot anyway. You can
- 36:33Speaker 2: certainly watch the first movie.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Hey, isn't the platform there somewhere in London that you
- 36:39Speaker 1: can go there is? Yeah, you're not into it that
- 36:43Speaker 1: much that you go and check that out? No, not really,
- 36:45Speaker 1: I would like this like so much time. Isn't there?
- 36:47Speaker 2: So it's like that's coming close to a theme park
- 36:50Speaker 2: for me. And we're done with that.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Broadway? Are you going to go to East.
- 37:00Speaker 2: No, we won't get any into any theater, which is
- 37:03Speaker 2: which is a bit of a bummer. Just hadn't really
- 37:05Speaker 2: booked anything. And honestly, taking children to things like that
- 37:09Speaker 2: bloody Philostone waste of time. Waste of time. So they've
- 37:14Speaker 2: seen Hamilton, that'll do No, so we won't do that.
- 37:17Speaker 2: And I just because it's the start of the holiday too,
- 37:19Speaker 2: I knew that we would have jet lags. I just
- 37:21Speaker 2: I haven't wanted to overplan too much because otherwise it
- 37:23Speaker 2: then just becomes me ruining the holiday with my Excel
- 37:26Speaker 2: spreadsheet of things that we must do at certain times,
- 37:29Speaker 2: So like getting out in the middle of the night
- 37:31Speaker 2: to do a podcast. So yeah, worth it. Though worth it.
- 37:37Speaker 2: You girls are worth it. Can we talk about the
- 37:40Speaker 2: week ahead in netbook? Cas, What do you got for us?
- 37:43Speaker 1: Tell us something? Oh, I don't know who's playing. All
- 37:45Speaker 1: I know is that I'm doing the Swifts and the
- 37:48Speaker 1: Mavericks game. I'm just trying to get over this weekend.
- 37:51Speaker 1: It was a big one. I'm doing the Swifts and
- 37:53Speaker 1: it was a big Saturday, and then I'm in studio
- 37:55Speaker 1: doing Pivot on Sundays. When he got one game this
- 37:58Speaker 1: weekend is playing well.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Round two.
- 38:01Speaker 4: We've got Firebirds Fever now that's at this arena and
- 38:04Speaker 4: I went to that game last year and it was
- 38:08Speaker 4: just after that had a pretty tumultuous weeet change that
- 38:11Speaker 4: I think, and Firebirds won it as it was amazing.
- 38:16Speaker 4: So I reckon that might be the match of the
- 38:20Speaker 4: round this weekend. So Swift's MAVs, as you said, in
- 38:23Speaker 4: Sydney Lightning, Thunderbirds and the Sunshine Coast and Vixen's Giants
- 38:28Speaker 4: at John Cane Arena.
- 38:29Speaker 3: So some really big games.
- 38:31Speaker 4: And Cath you did ask when the Thunderbirds played the
- 38:32Speaker 4: Swifts round three in Adelaide. Put that in your diaries, folks.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, how exciting, it is too for it.
- 38:39Speaker 2: And then Giants are facing Vixen's and Darryl Milton pointed
- 38:44Speaker 2: out on our Facebook page that he thinks that Vixen's
- 38:48Speaker 2: are going to be really mad and that the Giants
- 38:50Speaker 2: might have a tough time of that one.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And that's it quickly. That Round three that you spoke
- 38:57Speaker 1: about is a split round, so there's only two games
- 39:00Speaker 1: on the Sunday, the weekend of the twentieth, and then
- 39:03Speaker 1: the rest of Round three is played the following weekend
- 39:06Speaker 1: on the twenty sixth.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Twenty split round with and the Anzact weekend. So round
- 39:11Speaker 4: three so the Thunderbird Sweets are on the twentieth of April. Yes, correct,
- 39:14Speaker 4: Adelaide entertainment setting.
- 39:16Speaker 2: You know it's a bit sad.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I love it.
- 39:21Speaker 2: I love I love the split round because it makes
- 39:23Speaker 2: a lot of sense, but it's not it's not enough
- 39:25Speaker 2: netball for those of us who are at home with
- 39:27Speaker 2: a long weekend going. You know what I'd like to
- 39:29Speaker 2: do with my long weekend is watch a lot more
- 39:30Speaker 2: on air ball, Like I think it should be like
- 39:32Speaker 2: a Team Girls Cup on every long weekend in the Yeah.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Who's the players that love that?
- 39:39Speaker 3: Not?
- 39:39Speaker 2: Cap Cox and not the players so and not yet
- 39:43Speaker 2: so maybe no one, but I'd like it.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll take that into consideration and.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Look, can we people, can we go to the games please?
- 39:52Speaker 2: There are a couple of games where I thought the
- 39:53Speaker 2: crowds are a little bit meager on the weekend and
- 39:56Speaker 2: that makes me very sad well going to a game.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Having said that, though Round one was a record set
- 40:03Speaker 4: for crowds, the crowds tend to build during the year,
- 40:07Speaker 4: and because we have big crowds in Perth and Adelaide
- 40:11Speaker 4: and that certainly bumped it up.
- 40:12Speaker 3: But yeah, round one record, oh how good. Well.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Adelaide is always so because they're very passionate. The Perth
- 40:20Speaker 1: crowd was huge every time they did a shot from
- 40:24Speaker 1: like the whole court and you can see the crowd.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I thought at the seats green or they actually filled
- 40:29Speaker 1: up right to the top. And then I heard Sie
- 40:31Speaker 1: Audion say there was eight and something thousand people.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Yeah, and that is a great venue when you go.
- 40:36Speaker 4: Last year I went to the International Test match there
- 40:39Speaker 4: between Australia and New Zealand and it was fantastic.
- 40:43Speaker 3: It was so good.
- 40:43Speaker 4: So it's such a great venue and they do it
- 40:45Speaker 4: very well.
- 40:46Speaker 3: In Perth, but.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so, and the crowds tend to build as the
- 40:49Speaker 4: year goes on, so it's a pretty good start to
- 40:52Speaker 4: the season.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Sadly for Delta Guduram, however, in Melbourne at the MAVs game,
- 40:57Speaker 1: wasn't a great crowd, so she was playing to not
- 40:59Speaker 1: mean people. They did come in as it got a
- 41:03Speaker 1: little bit closer to game time, but definitely could be
- 41:07Speaker 1: some bigger crowds in Melbourne and in Sydney. Guys, get out.
- 41:11Speaker 2: There, especially when you see Now. I haven't talked about
- 41:14Speaker 2: my wing defense of the week yet, and I need
- 41:17Speaker 2: to because I haven't watched all of the games as
- 41:19Speaker 2: closely as I would like to. But my secret selection
- 41:23Speaker 2: advisory panel has nominated Amy Parmenter as the wing defense
- 41:28Speaker 2: of the week for round one. I'm going to need
- 41:31Speaker 2: to have a little bit of time to go back
- 41:33Speaker 2: and watch all of this before we make a definitive decision.
- 41:35Speaker 2: But the selection panel is excellent. So, oh my god,
- 41:39Speaker 2: I'm losing my voice.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so the selection panel is excellent, so I see
- 41:44Speaker 2: no likelihood that I'm going to override that. But yeah,
- 41:47Speaker 2: Amy Parmenta had a cracker again.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Okay, I want to know, specifically aside from being good
- 41:52Speaker 1: at network, because remember there had to be something else
- 41:54Speaker 1: that you were going to incorporate, like diving on well
- 41:58Speaker 1: when they stood up.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, this is what I need to I need
- 42:01Speaker 2: to come back to. So I think I'm probably going
- 42:03Speaker 2: to need to do a lot of this when I
- 42:05Speaker 2: get back to Australia in a couple of weeks time
- 42:07Speaker 2: and rewatch these games because I can't. I need to
- 42:10Speaker 2: give a reason for this and being good. It's not
- 42:13Speaker 2: because Shanne Lambd and what a cracker of a game obviously.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yeah you know, so when you get back, we're having
- 42:19Speaker 1: three wing defenses of the week. Yeah, yeah, that's right. Okay, noted.
- 42:24Speaker 2: We can deal with that much information. We're dribblers, we're
- 42:27Speaker 2: smart people. We can do it. But we've spent a
- 42:31Speaker 2: lot of time talking about the professional game.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 42:34Speaker 2: We have heroes at the grassroots level who keep our
- 42:37Speaker 2: game alive every week. And I believe that we have
- 42:41Speaker 2: a nomination for win beneath our wings this week cap.
- 42:46Speaker 1: We do This one came via socials from Emily May
- 42:49Speaker 1: and I would love to nominate my dad Duncan Lange.
- 42:53Speaker 1: How nice is that? I mean, without even reading anything else,
- 42:56Speaker 1: I just think, yes, let's do it, because I'm worried
- 42:59Speaker 1: Duncan and won't make great use of the scrunchy. But anyway, no,
- 43:03Speaker 1: he will, He'll find a way. Duncan has been around
- 43:05Speaker 1: netball for thirty plus years. Started as an umpire for
- 43:08Speaker 1: Sutherland Rockets Netball. He then had four daughters and was
- 43:12Speaker 1: a round netball at Liverpool. For everything barbecues, coaching, umpiring, etc.
- 43:17Speaker 1: He did it. He was an a umpiring badge and
- 43:20Speaker 1: has umpired every player around from old school state league
- 43:24Speaker 1: when Liz and Cath played for Kareing Gui to today when,
- 43:27Speaker 1: even when his daughters are all grown up and left,
- 43:30Speaker 1: he still goes to Premier League every Wednesday night to
- 43:33Speaker 1: coach umpires. Oh this is awesome. He's one of the
- 43:36Speaker 1: most dedicated and selfless people I know. Ten years ago
- 43:39Speaker 1: he still went to the netball weekly, even when battling cancer.
- 43:43Speaker 1: He didn't want to let anyone down. His netball resume
- 43:46Speaker 1: is far too long. As my Daddy's my hero, my
- 43:49Speaker 1: rock and the funniest pop to my kids. Oh my gosh,
- 43:52Speaker 1: I love this. Thank you so much for sending that
- 43:55Speaker 1: through Emily. He is one hundred percent getting a scrunchy, Duncan,
- 43:58Speaker 1: you are a legend, the wind beneath our wings.
- 44:01Speaker 2: You are the wind beneath our wings, duncan Can. I
- 44:04Speaker 2: make a suggestion, though, that we offer em the option
- 44:08Speaker 2: to see whether Duncan would like a notubal mad rad
- 44:11Speaker 2: netball to ad cap instead of the scrunchy. I know
- 44:14Speaker 2: it is out of tradition, but you know we are
- 44:17Speaker 2: an inclusive bunch here, so m let us know which
- 44:20Speaker 2: he would prefer. If you are a wind beneath our
- 44:22Speaker 2: wings nominee from last week or any of the next
- 44:25Speaker 2: few weeks. It's going to be a while before I
- 44:27Speaker 2: get to the post office, but I won't forget you.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Hang on, are you saying you didn't pack the scrunches with.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Scrunches?
- 44:37Speaker 1: And do you know what?
- 44:38Speaker 2: I haven't seen Catherine enough to have given her her
- 44:40Speaker 2: double scrunchies that she is required to wear at some stage,
- 44:44Speaker 2: So we still have me telling you a secret about
- 44:46Speaker 2: that moment I have happened. I have a scrunchy at home,
- 44:50Speaker 2: and I've looked at it. I'm not going to lie,
- 44:52Speaker 2: maybe four or five occasions and thought I'm supposed to
- 44:55Speaker 2: have worn this by now, but they haven't said anything,
- 44:58Speaker 2: so I'm certainly not going to zone anything. Well, Catherine,
- 45:02Speaker 2: to be fair on you, we did say you would
- 45:04Speaker 2: wear two of them in pigtails, so.
- 45:07Speaker 1: You could, okay, So I can't do anything.
- 45:08Speaker 2: It's a cool one, no, but we haven't quite gotten
- 45:12Speaker 2: elephants never guys.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Before we go, I just want to give a shout
- 45:15Speaker 4: out to the seventeens and nineteens athletes who will be
- 45:20Speaker 4: playing in the National Netball Championships starting this week at
- 45:23Speaker 4: Netball Central in Sydney. So all the athletes from around
- 45:26Speaker 4: Australia a starting their little journey netball journey along that
- 45:30Speaker 4: pathway super exciting and super exciting for their families as well.
- 45:34Speaker 4: So I know there are some girls playing whose mums
- 45:39Speaker 4: were pretty handy. Netballs are running to Sarah Sutter at
- 45:43Speaker 4: Melbourne Airport and her daughter is playing, so yeah, and
- 45:46Speaker 4: there's a few other girls whose kids are playing, so yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 4: it's super exciting. And now when I think back to
- 45:51Speaker 4: when I was playing in that age group as a kid,
- 45:54Speaker 4: you're sort of going with these big guys and not
- 45:57Speaker 4: quite sure how it's going to play out, but I
- 45:59Speaker 4: think it'll be a.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Bringiant week, so good luck to everyone who's going.
- 46:02Speaker 2: That'd be some great netble to watch too.
- 46:05Speaker 1: I'd like to do one more shout out if we
- 46:06Speaker 1: can before we go, guys. A message that came through
- 46:08Speaker 1: on socials again from Tracy Cross. She said she'd had
- 46:11Speaker 1: a bad I'm censoring start to the week after some
- 46:15Speaker 1: wild parent behavior following a carnival, to the point that
- 46:19Speaker 1: she was thinking censoring something else netball, but listening to
- 46:24Speaker 1: the episode last week made me laugh out loud and
- 46:27Speaker 1: reminded me how much I love it and coaching. So
- 46:29Speaker 1: thank you guys. Yeah, I'm I'm sorry.
- 46:33Speaker 2: God that pisss you off, doesn't that. It's like, come on,
- 46:36Speaker 2: get it together, people like.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Let's be let's be ground.
- 46:39Speaker 2: That's true bad parent behavior at a carnival. Unfortunately, now
- 46:46Speaker 2: I'm half listening to this podcast would be involved in
- 46:49Speaker 2: that type of shitty behavior. But yeah, it's really hard
- 46:52Speaker 2: for the volunteers when they have to deal with that stuff.
- 46:54Speaker 2: So good on you're Tracy. Glad we could thank you,
- 46:57Speaker 2: give you a little bit of a spring in your step. Anyway.
- 46:59Speaker 2: I have netball news obviously down in Brighton yesterday with
- 47:04Speaker 2: my cousins. They know I do this podcast, and my
- 47:06Speaker 2: cousin's husband said, oh yeah, my friend's wife is doing
- 47:10Speaker 2: something with netball in Brighton this weekend.
- 47:12Speaker 1: It's terrific.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Bet I'll talk about that on the podcast obviously, because
- 47:16Speaker 2: that's a really insightful summary of something that's going on
- 47:21Speaker 2: with netball somewhere sometime in Brighton today and I was there.
- 47:25Speaker 1: This is the thing.
- 47:26Speaker 2: You listen to this podcast because we are at the
- 47:28Speaker 2: cold face of netball, and apparently there was some somewhere
- 47:30Speaker 2: near me yesterday. So I'm just bringing you with that news. Yeah,
- 47:37Speaker 2: on the.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Polls here.
- 47:40Speaker 2: For on your podcast, But yeah, I guess that that's
- 47:44Speaker 2: probably our time. I just thought it was an absolutely
- 47:47Speaker 2: sensational weekend of netball. I know for me personally, not
- 47:52Speaker 2: a lot of glory, but an enormous amount of potential
- 47:56Speaker 2: shown I think in my tipping game this week, and
- 48:01Speaker 2: we'll see the ladder change dramatically over the course of
- 48:04Speaker 2: the season. It's not too late to join the Valor
- 48:06Speaker 2: Dribbler's Tipping comp if you want to go to our
- 48:08Speaker 2: website no Dripple dot com dot are you please get
- 48:11Speaker 2: around each other on Facebook and you keep chatting and
- 48:15Speaker 2: having a good time and less and less on Instagram,
- 48:18Speaker 2: we're not doing quite as much. We're posting stuff there,
- 48:19Speaker 2: but we're not quite it's not quite as communicative a platform.
- 48:23Speaker 2: But we're also on Instagram at No Underscore Dribble Underscore podcast.
- 48:27Speaker 2: So please get involved. Share this podcast as widely as
- 48:30Speaker 2: you can. Tell your friends what a good time that
- 48:32Speaker 2: we have. Tell them about Tracy who was having a
- 48:34Speaker 2: bad week and then listen to the podcast and then
- 48:36Speaker 2: suddenly was having a good week. That is an amazing testimonial.
- 48:42Speaker 1: But I'm going to go listen Swindl. No jumping on
- 48:45Speaker 1: with an alias and starting a new character for the
- 48:49Speaker 1: Tipping comp because then you have better points. All right,
- 48:51Speaker 1: We're going to.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Be much even thought about that until you see until
- 48:54Speaker 2: now idea. Yeah, I'm definitely not telling you that you
- 48:58Speaker 2: can watch Harry Potter movies. Then well wait to get
- 49:02Speaker 2: back at me, but yes, congratulations on your extraordinary week.
- 49:09Speaker 2: We've got our Susan, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Carolyn's little tipping
- 49:14Speaker 2: group within the Tipping comp and there's only three Carolyn,
- 49:18Speaker 2: so I need some support in there. We're looking like
- 49:21Speaker 2: there's quite a lot of cats, quite a lot, as
- 49:22Speaker 2: you can imagine Diamond does a new lot. But anyway,
- 49:24Speaker 2: there is actually a Susan Ellis. So that's a beautiful homage.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Yeah too, but that will we will look forward to
- 49:33Speaker 2: that and see whose whose name is dominant in the
- 49:36Speaker 2: tipping world. Probably not going to be mine as well.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I'm calling it this stage anyway, Time to go, everyone,
- 49:44Speaker 2: have a great week. I'm going to I'm Carolyn Swindela,
- 49:46Speaker 2: I mean jolly old London. I won't be here next week.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I'll be somewhere else and yeah, have a great week.
- 49:52Speaker 3: Oh boy, there she goes.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Would have been fun to not get maccent. Thank you,
- 50:00Speaker 1: thank you, my pa.
- 50:02Speaker 2: At this stage of the podcast, you say your name
- 50:04Speaker 2: and you say goodbye.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Oh okay, oh are we still doing that after sixty
- 50:09Speaker 1: five episodes? Okay? Oh, how many episodes are we up to?
- 50:11Speaker 1: I'd love to know, but no, bye bye. This is
- 50:13Speaker 1: Catherine Cox in Sydney who's very alone in the studio,
- 50:16Speaker 1: but I kind of like what ams there in spirit?
- 50:21Speaker 3: And this is Lizella's on the North Coast.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Have that week, everybody, Bye bye bye.
