There's nothing I could do in my own power a man, that's outside of

cannot do God can do a man. He's the God who will do all

things. All things are possible with God. With man, not everything is

possible. But with God all things are possible, including healing, including recovering,

including you know, demonstrations of His love, grace and mercy upon a

life, upon a body, physically, motion, and spiritually. God does

all of that and does it well. Because he is sovereign, He's in

too much that he not put us through any unnecessary pain. Will we struggle,

Will we have pain? Absolutely, but nothing unnecessary. Nothing that the

enemy is throwing at us is okay for God. Amen, none of that

is okay. We have a God that we should be able to obey anyway,

through any circumstance. Obey anyway today in the morning, Devo, I

truly believe that this message and this word Amen, is going to radical,

radically change people's perception of what God can do in a life of a believer.

Amen, So obey anyway. Luke Chapter one thirty five through thirty eight

says, and the Angel answered her, the Holy Spirit will come upon you,

and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child

to be born will be called Holy, the Son of God. And behold,

your relative Elizabeth and her old age, has also conceived a son.

And this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For nothing

will be impossible with God. And Mary said, behold, I am the

servant of the Lord. Let it be to me according to your word.

And the Angel departed from her. And this is the story of how Mary,

the Mother of God was impregnated, not by her betrothed, not by

her fiancee Joseph, but by a holy spirit God. She was impregnated.

This story is what sets apart Jesus from any other religious figure, any other

religiously. And this right here sets Jesus apart from all religions. Amen,

that he was already holy. Amen, he was called Holy, the Son,

the Son of God. Right. And this is right here, prophetic.

It happened, it came to pass. Her cousin, Elizabeth was called

Baron, was baron before. But then she found herself in her old age,

pregnant, six months pregnant when the Angel revealed, and the Angel spoke

to Mary, which a lot of theologians say married. They don't know her

exact age, but a lot of theologians say she was young a teenager when

this happened. Amen, that's debatable. The theologians let them handle that information,

Amen, with what they find in the scriptures. So this is where

we're gonna launch our morning devo. At right, this beautiful story of how

the Holy Spirit spoke, and the Holy Spirit and pregnated the Mother of Jesus,

which was married. Amen. And Mary said, behold, I am

the servant of the Lord. She's courageous, she's being obedient, she's obeying,

not understanding. I'm pretty sure she didn't understand all of that, but

she said, behold, she made a statement, I am the servant of

the Lord. Let it be in other words, Amen, let it be

to me according to your word. And the Angel departed from her. This

right here, this story should be encouraging to anyone, not only women who

are pregnant, right, but men who are willing to obey anyway, even

when we are not understanding everything that's going on in life according to how it's

happening, we as men, at least for me, Amen, I speak

for myself. I'm always trying to figure things out, and if I don't

understand stuff, I try to figure it out on my own. But I

decided to obey Guy's word anyway, whether or not I believe or understand what

I'm believing. Amen, I do believe whether I understand what God is telling

me at that moment, at that time when I'm going through, Amen,

I'm going to obey anyway. This whole thing is settled in my heart.

Amen. And I hope you could settle that in your heart. Obey God

anyway. Why because He's the only one, literally that's trustworthy in this whole

entire world. Amen. You could trust me to a certain extent, I

could trust you to a certain extent. But God could be trusted all through

your life in all circumstances, all extents. There's no on me trusting in

what God could do in my life and what God could do in your life.

Right, So what fears you think Mary and Joseph probably had when Mary

was expecting Jesus, right, Because remember Joseph had to be convinced. He

was getting ready to leave Mary and said, listen, I wasn't with you,

how are you pregnant? And when she said what happened, he was

like, that's like far out there. Imagine somebody your fiance going up to

say, hey, I'm pregnant, and you'll be like, okay, so

I know it wasn't from me, So who wasn't from And she goes,

what was the Holy Ghost? The Holy Spirit of God impregnanated me. It's

gonna be a discussion going on, right. Any man would be like,

wait a minute, that doesn't sound like legit. You know somebody's lying here.

But Joseph was dealt with by Holy Spirit God a man. He had

a dream and it was confirmed in his heart, and he knew that it

was truly the truth. Would marry his fiance was talking about. Amen,

But he had to be convinced not by another man, not by married,

but by a Holy Spirit himself, by God himself. A lot of things

we face in life, no one could convince us that it's true or not

other than the power of Holy Spirit God. He will do the convincing.

Amen. We don't have to take that on our shoulders and try to go

out and reach the world and convince everybody that Jesus got the work and the

power and the grace actually and the revelation of Holy Spirit God. So how

do you think they demonstrated their courage and faith? They obeyed their courageous obedience

is what says this apart from any couple in the scriptures. A man think

about it. They were young, they were engaged to be married. But

yet Mary was pregnant before Joseph, you know, blessed the marriage bed,

if you know what I mean. So in the back of his mind he

was like, this is gonna bring shame to our family. It's gonna bring

shame to my name, shame to her. So he was getting ready to

politely and silently write and delicately leave her, leave her. But Holy Spirit

had God his heart, then convinced him that this really happened, that she

was impregnated by Holy Spirit God, and then he was courageous enough to believe

and obey. Anyway, So we don't know for sure how old Mary was

when the angel visited her and announced that God had chosen her to give birth

to the savior of the world. This is not you know, this is

a time. This sets everything apart. Most historians believe she was probably just

a teenager. But we do not know that she was betrothed to Joseph,

and it was common in that day. But we do know, excuse me,

but we do know this is what we do know that she was betrothed,

engaged, and that day was common for young teenage girls to be promised

in marriage. So but we do know she was engaged. But believers,

theologians, scholars, and historians are not sure exactly how old Mary was when

the angel came to her. Amen, put yourself in married shoes if you're

a woman. She's a very young woman, right. She just had a

supernatural experience with an angel and the news that he declared to her was going

to change the trajectory of her whole entire life forever, not just for that

time in her life, but forever. Giving birth to the savior of the

world, giving birth to the Holy Son of God. That's different. I

don't know if you ever experienced anything big in your life. I think this

is something bigger. Amen Cavan says, such a huge take. They were

given Wow, yeah, a huge responsibility they and they achieved it, man,

and they did it because they obeyed anyway, regardless of what they understood

about what they were assigned to do in life. They obeyed God anyway.

And because their obedience it costs other people to obey God anyway. It caused

other believers to have this great discourage that's so contagious, contagious in our world

today. She knew she was a virgin and that she was not guilty of

sexual immorality, but would anyone else believe her? Right? Because she was

probably like, Okay, nobody's gonna believe this. I've been in situations in

my life and God has done certain things or told me to do certain things

that if I explained it to people, they won't believe that was from God.

Or you did what? That was from God? You're right, that

was you? So no, that was from God. And I've been had

those experiences before. I said, Man, if I try to explain this,

nobody's gonna believe me anyway. So I'm gonna just obey anyway a man,

and trust God and lead the results up to him, because a lot

of times I was like, no one will believe this, a man,

what just happened? What I just did? What God just did through me,

or God just did through the ministry of God. That do my brothers

and sisters in Christ for a person that nobody would have ever believed or that

could happen to that person, or that we were able to do something for

this person or this visual. So a virgin birth doesn't sound very believable,

does it. A science will tell you that's impossible. But the Bible says

in the scripture that we just read that everything is possible for God. There's

nothing impossible for God. What would Joseph say. We already know that he

was ready to leave. He was ready to bounce, just like, this

is impossible. You're lying to me. Somebody you cheated on me, somebody

some of the man has gotten with you. Mary. So I'm a kindly

like bow out until the Holy Spirit got hold of his heart through a dream,

and then he decided to obey anyway, not understanding everything. Amen,

how about you? Do you understand everything that the Word says and what God

tells you? I don't think so. I know I don't understand everything that

happens in life, but I obey anyway. I'm stubborn that way, and

I think that's a good thing to do. Would he believe her, would

he reject her? Would he report her to the authorities? If Joseph did

not believe that this child was from God, he would understandably assume that she

had broken their betrosal contract and was guilty of adultery. Right, a common

man would think, Okay, she cheated on me. How else would she

be pregnant if it wasn't from Joseph. Right, this is common sense,

this is logic, and man, the Bible is so clear and honest about

these situations, giving us the opportunity to see, Okay, yeah, I

would have did the same thing, so it's relatable. Nobody can say that

the well people do say that this is irrelevant. It doesn't match with our

times anymore. Of the Bible's archaic it doesn't make sense anymore. But come

on, this makes total sense to any logical person that if someone your fiance

said she was pregnant and you had not slept with her, had not been

intimate with her, you're gonna think the same thing. Joseph was thinking,

Well, this is grounds for adultery. It wasn't me. But like I

said earlier, Holy Spirit got hold to his heart. A man, he

obeyed anyway he believed anyway. If Joseph did not believe that this child was

from God, he will understandably assume that she had broken their contract and was
23:11
guilty of adultery under the vitical law because they were still under the vitical law,

right adultery was punishable by death. You can see that in Leviticus chapter
23:19
twenty, verse cent. So if Joseph did not believe her, one of
23:23
two things would happen. He'd either report her adultery to the authorities, or

he simply divorced her, and both would bring shame to their name and to
23:33
their family. The Gospel of Matthew tells us that Joseph initially chose option number

two. Now, the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way when

his mother, Mary had been betrothed to Joseph. Before they came together,

she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit, and her husband

Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved

to divorce her quietly go away. Right But as he considered these things,

behold, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him now in a dream right

saying, Joseph's son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your

wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. Yes,

Savior. When Joseph woke up from sleep, he did as the Angel of

the Lord commanded him, took his wife, but knew her not until she

had given birth to a son, and he called his name Jesus. You

see that in Matthew Chapter one, verses eighteen to twenty four. Come on,

it's in the scripture. Scripture response to its own self. The scripture

confirms scripture. So we see that marrying Joseph had valid reasons to be afraid

to be the parents of the son of the Living God. Amen, can

you imagine like I'm thinking about now, Like wait of no one. I

wouldn't believe my wife that got pregnant from the Holy Spirit. I'm a man,

right, that doesn't happen. But the Angel of the Lord revealed that

to our brother Joseph in a dream. He was convinced when he woke up

that that was true a man, and he obeyed anyway, regardless of what

he understood logically. So it might be like marrying Joseph, even though we

won't fully understand God's ways, even when we have our reservations and our own

opinions, even when we are afraid of the potential consequences of what people are

going to think about us. I believe we could still have the courage to

faithfully be obedient to God, and not just today, not just yesterday,

not just tomorrow, but always. And if you carry this courageous obedience,

other people will want what we have. We have the trust and faith in

a living, holy, righteous, loving God. So when things happen along

those ways, I don't think that's going to ever happen again. This certain

situation is unique. But you know what I mean. When things happen in

life, obey anyway, trust God, Amen, and he will get you

through day by day according to His will and purpose, which is the best

will and purpose and plan for our lives. So I hope you get what
