- 0:09SPEAKER_03: Hi and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips.
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: Today we are talking about Good Girls, Season 1, Episode 5, Taking Care of Business.
- 0:19SPEAKER_03: I'm Lisa, and today I'm sipping on coffee with the little Kalua inside because why not?
- 0:29SPEAKER_03: Nothing exciting.
- 0:30SPEAKER_03: I was doing a puzzle and watching TV.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: I co-signed that.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm Agnes, and I am drinking a red, a black eye, actually, and I put a little poo-hoo of my espresso martini into it.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: So we were on the same page today without boozy coffee.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: I have a question for you.
- 0:56SPEAKER_03: This is not a hot take.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: This has nothing to do with this.
- 1:01SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:03SPEAKER_03: I was I was working on my puzzle yesterday and I had it.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: I have like this board that was a gift, and it it's like a thing, and you can roll it or whatever.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: When I went to bed, I left it.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: I excuse me, organized like the pieces the way I was working on it.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: Excuse me.
- 1:24SPEAKER_03: And then I went to bed.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: When I woke up this morning, I found somebody else sitting there working on it.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: It was someone that lives in your house.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, of course.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, you I the way you have this prepped up, it could have been somebody.
- 1:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, someone someone broke in because they were like, oh, she got a she's got a 1,000 piece puzzle going on.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: I mean, can I imagine someone like, ooh, I like while I saw it in the window, just couldn't resist.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: It was like leave the flat screen on the TV, just let me work on the puzzle.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, so someone's working on your puzzle.
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: Okay, if that was you, how would you feel about that?
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: I would be livid.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: I'm glad I'm not the only one.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: I was like, why are you touching?
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: I will be livid.
- 2:09SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: Like, no, I was playing.
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: You weren't here.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: It's no, it's no.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Um no, you you're not wrong.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: And so I took all the pieces that like he had lined up.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he was sitting right there, and I was like, I was like, give me the box.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: He was like, why?
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: I was like, because I'm putting them back in the box.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: He was like, but I was working on those pieces.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: I was like, I but you were, I wasn't.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: He was like petty, yes.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Is it called for?
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Also, yes.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: They they weren't like plugged in already.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: I would have taken off the plugged in parts that I didn't do.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: That's just that's and then he was like, You can't be serious.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: I was like, if you don't hand me the box right now, like I'm just gonna put the whole puzzle in the box because like it's tinted now.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: I would have just bought myself a whole new puzzle and just like, you know what?
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: You've got me all the way fucked up.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: No, you're not wrong.
- 3:11SPEAKER_03: And then he's like, but I was just trying to help.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: Like, I've been doing this since last night.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: I was like, that's even worse.
- 3:17SPEAKER_03: And then he I said, Let me ask you, it's like when you're cooking something, do you want someone to come into your kitchen and stir your food?
- 3:25SPEAKER_03: And he's like, Well, if I asked them to, I was like, ah.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: If you asked I didn't ask you to.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: You like, aha! I got you.
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: So then he made me coffee and breakfast.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Well, actually, he had already made me coffee, but I can't so I get his intentions with the coffee.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna help, but at the same time, no, it's like, no, right.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: I need to buy new puzzles off from scratch.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Not even redo the puzzle, just not a whole new puzzle.
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: And this, and it was a brand new puzzle.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: I literally opened the seal on the box to do it.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know.
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: It's it's a quirk, but I stand behind it.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: No, I stand behind you on that quirk.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: Now, now that we've gotten business taken care of.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: I have to redo my eyelashes.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: Hot takes on this episode.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: I thought I asked that, but no.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: I was a little disappointed that we didn't get more of the cancer thing.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: It was like, oh anything, and oh, we have to wait for the appointment.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: But so it was kind of like, well, how much time has passed?
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: Oh, I guess none.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: Because the guy's still in yeah, okay, hold on.
- 4:47SPEAKER_03: I didn't think that through.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: I was waiting for that to click in.
- 4:51SPEAKER_03: I had a Joey moment.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: Um maybe more like Phoebe, because I I I I did catch it quicker than Joey.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Um I do have a a point with the writing of that scene towards the end, but it'll get I'll get to it when I when we get to that scene.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: And so when she like, honestly, as soon as she was like, Well, how am I gonna explain?
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: Like, easy.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: The oldest explanation in the book.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: That was yeah, that was my first thought.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: I know, and then I just watched it in my second time I watched it.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: It was hilarious.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: He was like, just say I was hitting it.
- 5:31SPEAKER_03: She was like, wait, what?
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm sorry, sweetheart.
- 5:39SPEAKER_03: When she gets to the scene where she's describing it, I was like, you know damn well she is fantasizing.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: As every female that was watching that episode.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: Not quite like that, but okay.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: The thought was there.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: Listen, if I come across a Rio and I know I could be relatively safe, I totally would.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: He's not gonna like cause physical harm.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: When I say safe, that's what I mean.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: There's no physical harm.
- 6:12SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: Then I'm fine, you know.
- 6:15SPEAKER_03: Unintentional physical harm.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: I'm okay with the unintentional, you know, oops, drive-by.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: My bad.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, and Annie once again is like, what the fuck?
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Although it wasn't her fault.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Completely.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: It wasn't completely her fault.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: I knew what she was gonna do, and honestly, I thought it was gonna be worse.
- 6:42SPEAKER_03: I thought that scene was gonna end up a different way, and so all things considered, she got out of that relatively scot-free.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, it really wasn't her fault.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: She didn't know he was married.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: That's not the point.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: That to me, that is it is her fault.
- 6:59SPEAKER_03: Not that he was married, but like you've you've put shit in jeopardy because of a bad decision.
- 7:07SPEAKER_03: She was she had four TVs up in that house.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: What if he just fucking robed you?
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: No, that no, but she was Beth was blaming her for the sleeping.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: That was the I'm talking about like as far as that's concerned, she was kind of being blamed for that.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Like, no, that was your own issues.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Um, she wasn't the whole slut shaming part.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, no.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: She wasn't slut shaming her.
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: She was just shaming her.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: And still really wasn't her fault.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Like, she didn't know.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Because she was really blaming her for Yeah.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: Mary.
- 7:37SPEAKER_03: No, no, on that on that I'm with you.
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: I'm just like, wow.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: You've got twenty thousand dollars with the TVs in your living room?
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you don't bring a stranger to the house.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: No, that was stupid.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: I thought he took the receipt so that he could cash in.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: But you have to take the TVs too to cash in.
- 7:57SPEAKER_03: He could steal the TVs.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, good point.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, you just need the receipt.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: You just need the receipt, see the receipt.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: I mean, yeah, yeah, he could steal the TVs too, but but with the receipt is almost as valuable, if not more, mm-hmm than the actual TVs.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: So.
- 8:14SPEAKER_03: But okay.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm done with my hot takes.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: I'm done complaining about my puzzle.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: I'm done with my hot takes.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: No more shaming.
- 8:24SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna sit here and drink my coffee in my Princess Leia mug while you speak.
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: So who's doing the episode?
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: You, because I got in trouble last time.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: I just, now she's being a smartass.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: I left I left that all in too, so everybody could know how you yell at me.
- 8:43SPEAKER_03: She almost spit all over her computer.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: My brand new computer.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: They're like, you know what?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: Lisa we were doing this by herself.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Now you know why.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: And that would be her fault.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: She made me spit on my computer.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: That's what she said.
- 9:25SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 9:29SPEAKER_04: Come on, come on, chop chop.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Ew.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: Ew.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Because I can do this scandal style.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, what's that?
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: No, scandal, they they spoke really fast.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: Like the the dialogue was really, really fast.
- 9:45SPEAKER_04: Mm-hmm.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: If you ever noticed, it was slower than it was faster than what you watch on TV, but it was more than there.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: It was normal conversation.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: There are studies of like people have done studies on the shows that have the most words per minute.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: I don't remember which ones come out at the top and and last.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: Definitely scaling.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: But I know like everything is a thing.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: Because TV moves a little bit slow.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: Like the to hit notes and to hit things, then it's a lot slower pace as far as the stuff.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: I think the West Wing was in was in the top.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: West Wing is pretty good too.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: The drop.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: So scandal style.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Beth and Annie convene in Ruby's kitchen to debate the newfound business now that the FBI.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: I'm just joking.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: See, I'm I'm like a 1.25 listener of podcasts.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: So if you start talking like that at one, I'm gonna be like, what the fuck?
- 10:41SPEAKER_03: Now I can't understand anything.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: I'm just making a point.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Because you wrestled.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Beth and Annie convene in Ruby's kitchen to debate the newfound business now that the FBI is complicating things.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Desperate for funds to pay her custody attorney, Annie is gung-ho and moving forward.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: Even with the heat rising in their kitchen.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: I think that was kind of cute.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Let that in.
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: When this when the show opens, though, doesn't it open on the FBI guy in the kitchen?
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: Talking about the kids, and he's like cute kids, and he's like, yeah, we like them.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: And he's like the dog poop guy.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, I forgot about that part.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: It kind of before him.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: So I forgot about that.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: Well, I guess it I mean it's nothing except that.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: It was kind of like a continuation of what happened the last week.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: So yeah, sorry.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: I suck.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: No.
- 11:35unknown: Wait, wow.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: Annie complaints about it takes her to talk to her lawyer for 15 minutes, it costs her$800.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: And Beth quotes back, you know how much a criminal attorney costs?
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: Still clueless, I love Stan.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: He interrupts their meeting.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: I used to call it meet because this is the meeting.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: This is a business meeting that they're having.
- 12:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: Because he wants to show off his little officer uniform.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: Is it?
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: It's like his first day, right?
- 12:06SPEAKER_03: In training.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: In the academy.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: And he's so he's so proud of himself.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: And may I add, the fact that he's starting his law enforcement career as his wife starts her criminal career is not lost on me.
- 12:21SPEAKER_03: And he's like, if you if if you saw me coming to pull you over and Beth is like, I paid a ticket on the spot.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: I thought one of them was gonna be like, I'd resist the rest.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: I thought she was gonna say something like that.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: Like I thought that's what Annie was gonna say.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: She was like, no, she said something that was more Annie though.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: I would run, but you catch me because I don't run fast.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: I thought Ruby was going to, but I think she was so I feel like she was shitting on herself.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: The fact.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Like I think the reality is it's really clicking in.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: He one, he's he interrupted the business meeting.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: Two, he's going to be an office.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: He's in an academy, and she's like, I think she's just too fucked up to make those little comments.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: And she's been lying to him about not having a job.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: So she's all jacked up.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: Like her asshole's closed up tight.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: Like she's constipated.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: She's a hot mess.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: The other problem plaguing Annie is that Sadie's going to Hawaii with her dad and Nancy.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: So we all know how Annie functions when Sadie is home.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: Imagine Annie without Sadie.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: Like she cannot adult.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: We know that we joke about not adulting.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: She's incapable of adulting.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: The fact that Sadie has to remind her not to only eat mac and cheese.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: I don't see a problem with that.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: And it's not a long for her to go to work.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Like I kind of feel sorry.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: I know Annie and Sadie have a special bond, but Sadie shouldn't have to be in that position to parent her parents.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: Have you considered?
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: Now of course I say this, knowing full well that you have seen the show, and I am being like 97% ridiculous.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: But have you considered the 3% chance that maybe Annie is actually just doing that because it builds Sadie's confidence having something to take care of?
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: You know, it's like when you give a kid a pet.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: I would think that if she just didn't have like the history of being irresponsible.
- 14:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Like we know that's not it.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: But you know But But one could make the argument.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: And that argument would be would be wrong.
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: However, in front of a jury of your peers, if I was the lawyer, I'd make that argument.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: And that would be a good argument, though.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: That'd be a good one.
- 14:49SPEAKER_03: And I'm alert.
- 14:50SPEAKER_03: We can't have anything other than a turtle because of my allergy.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: So she has to grow by taking care of me, clearly.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: Like I am guiding her to take care of me.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna use that argument on my kids.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: But not adults.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: And that is not in your DNA.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: No.
- 15:08SPEAKER_03: My daughter did make me soup today, though.
- 15:10SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 15:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:12SPEAKER_03: You got coffee and soup.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: And then she's like, do you want it with a spoon?
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, you could drink it.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: Like there's, you know, so like a broth.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: So, but yeah.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: What kind of soup was it?
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: What else would I wait?
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Okay, here's a what kind of soup was it?
- 15:32SPEAKER_03: Tomato soup.
- 15:34SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, it wasn't like it was like a chunky soup that you need a spoon for, so you know.
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: Well, that's that's what it was.
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: But she didn't put it in a mug, she put it in a bowl.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: I I'm trying to save her and if that worked out.
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: Because she said she was like, oh, but maybe you just wanted to like drink it.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: And I was like, oh, okay.
- 15:54SPEAKER_03: I get that.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Did she make your girl cheese to go with it?
- 15:59SPEAKER_03: Well, that's what he made.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: Ham and cheese.
- 16:03SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: I okay.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: 99% of the time I love living alone.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: That 1%, like now, I will love someone to make me breakfast.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: But I want someone to do it and leave.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm probably still gonna be the one to have to clean the dishes.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: The not the dishes, but like the stove and the counters and stuff.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: At least there's that.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think I would take breakfast in bed and then cleaning up over how to make it and clean it.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: Uh, but if you made it, it probably wouldn't be the mess.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: It wouldn't be.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: That is a good point.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: Because there's a thing you clean up as you go, but you know, silly us.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: What do we know?
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: So if anyone wants to bring me breakfast in bed and then leave, matter of fact, you don't have to just put it at my doorstep and then we'll like DoorDash?
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Door dash that bitch.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: Um, but you have to bring like a little vase with a single rose.
- 17:10SPEAKER_03: Now you get like extra.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: And maybe, if I'm feeling kind of frisky, you know.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: And all the exes that listen to this are like, oh god, block this bitch.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: Now we know why we don't date her anymore.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: The next scene, Beth is loading her car when another parent stops her to ask her to volunteer for something.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: The mom sees the bullet holes in Beth's minivan.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Hey my god, what happened?
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: And just as Beth starts to lie and blame it on Kenny's BB gun.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: Hey my guy, you killed Kenny.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, sorry.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: I can't say Kenny without saying that.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: One of Rio's cronies walks up and starts helping Beth load grocery bags into the trunk.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Beth manages to shake the nosy mom with empty promises of getting in touch before asking the gangster what did he want?
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: But if you look so calm, very calm.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: She was built for this.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: So the mom was like, What?
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: When did they get this service?
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: And what kind of bugs me out, of course she asks him, he did, but he doesn't answer.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: He just throws the money in the back of her car.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: But if Rio wants to stay under the, he really gives no fucks.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: So because you would think they would give them their money, less, you know, public places.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: No, in a parking lot of a grocery store with cameras.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Rio has no fucks to give.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: And we soon find out why.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Afterwards, Ruby and Annie each find their own fake money goodie bags in their car, too.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: I want a fake money goodie bag.
- 18:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: What are the odds?
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: You think?
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: You remember those Swiffer commercials where they go ding dong and there'd be a box of Swiffer supplies?
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: Kind of.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: I always wanted like someone to ring my doorbell, just leave me a box of Swiffer supplies.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: Now I want someone just to leave me a bag full of fake money that looks real.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: I'd take either, honestly, at this point.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: Honestly, Swiffer's expensive, so if I had a Swiffer, I wouldn't either buy the Swiffer.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: So I have the reusable mop.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: Do you take off the mop heads and you wash them?
- 19:29SPEAKER_03: I do too.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: I'm we'll talk about that later because I'm having bad luck with mop heads.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: So after they get their goodie bags, it's time for another project management meeting.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: And of course, they have to invite their Rio.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Gang friend?
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Their gang friend.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: And he's not happy to be invited.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: But he's so chill about it.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: Beth and Ruby expressed their concerns now that the feds are in the mix.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: But Rio reminds them that they asked for this, this ain't the Girl Scouts.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: You can't give the cookies back.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: He insists he's not even worried about the FBI because there's a distribution system.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: And since they've been distributed to, they're down the hook.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: Peace by.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: I have nothing to worry about.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Because technically he really doesn't.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: They you can't say he gave the money.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: What proof?
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: So he's chilling.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: So typical suburban mom plans.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: They use Beth's Black Friday map.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: I love this.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: That was insane.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: I guess we use it to that.
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, girl, I need a good Black Friday sale for my life.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: You won't catch me on stores.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Like, can we get like rinse half off and let your bill buy one pay for one month, get the next month straight?
- 20:57SPEAKER_03: 30% off, I'll take it.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: But like you won't catch me anywhere near stores on a Black Friday.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: But I feel like people actually had maps and they were they it was strategic.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: And no one does that anymore because guess what?
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: I buy that shit online throughout the year.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: I think it's just, yeah.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Maybe good.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: People could have like Thanksgiving and the holidays off now that the stores aren't so busy.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: So she revamped her black her Black Friday map.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: She's she's just pushpins.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: I know she's amazing.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: She's built for this so that the push pins represent the various stores that they're going to hit with the biggest ticket items.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: And of course it's color-coded because it's Beth.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: And the radius is expanded because they don't want to do it within the areas that they live in.
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: I am not mad at the organization.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Neither am I.
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: The color coding, the maps, the push.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: Kind of a turn on.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: It was like, ooh, office supplies?
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: Organization?
- 21:58SPEAKER_03: I I had a little monica moment there, you know?
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: I co-side that because I was like, ooh, how can I do that to my life?
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: But then I'm like, then I guess my problem with that stuff, I get eventually it becomes second nature and I don't use a shit.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: And then I needed something else.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: Ruby brings up the possibility of storage.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: Testing the bills to see if they're counterfeit.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: She goes, I once saw a guy at 7 Eleven get straight up tased.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: I swear.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: The writing in the show is amazing.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Annie assures them that these counterfeit bills are primo because she tested them with the same security pen they use at work.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Best color coding system has been expanded.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: Red rubber band for the fake ones, green rubber bands once they do the returns, and there's a clean money.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: We could do this, she says, with just normal women shopping.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: With money, babe, with money to burn, baby.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Woo-hoo, go Annie.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: I love Annie's little.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: She's very enthusiastic.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: You cannot fault her for that.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: He's like, to be fair, Lisa, she's the irresponsible version of us.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: The one that says, I'm gonna say yes and not ask you any questions.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna go with it.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: So, and then can we stop for lunch?
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: And you know.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, can we get jalapeno poppers on the way?
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: For the drive-thru at least.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: Hey, Agnes, we're going for a drive?
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yes.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: By the way, where are we going?
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: As I'm already in the car and we're halfway there.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: In two split scenes, we watch Beth buying appliances in one store as Ruby's already making returns in another.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: When Beth's total comes to over four grand, she hands the Cloud9 cashier a stack.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: The checkout girl then pulls out a massive machine as Beth nervously asks her what the contraption is.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: We use this to check out large bills.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: It's a money counter.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: And the money counters just can tell small bills.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: No, people act like it's new fangled stuff.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: There's a money counter.
- 24:13SPEAKER_03: I didn't realize, I mean, like I've used the money counters before, but I didn't realize that they had the ones that detected um fake bills.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 24:26SPEAKER_03: But then again, when I worked like retail, people didn't buy thousands of dollars worth of coffee.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: So no, you know, maybe I mean I would have if I had the money, to be fair.
- 24:40SPEAKER_03: Well like I would want all your beans and all thank you.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I mean, you know, like the total totals totals at Starbucks were not$4,000.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: No.
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: I guess we didn't need them.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Like, can I please buy your espresso machine?
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Thanks.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: No, the one you're using is fine.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: So apparently the pen thingy never really works.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: It does, because I've tried.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, it does and it doesn't, you know.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Like any good technology, fake bills just get better.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: So it's not that they don't work.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Technology with faking the bills just get better.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: Beth is nervous.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: He tries to leave, but the cashier is already putting through the machine, money through the machine.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: He's like, oh, it'll just take a second.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: Those machines are a lot faster than counting by hand.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: Oh, hell yeah.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: I love those machines until they get jammed.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, Ruby is trying to distract the guy, bring up her insane number of returns with a made-up, so overly involved story.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: And I'm just looking at her.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: Very believable though.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: Very believable.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Because when I first watched this, I'm like, oh my God, too much information.
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: But living out here in the Midwest, as long as I have now, I'm like, yeah, that happens all the fucking time.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, okay, I don't care about your cousins, neighbors, roommates, tuck driving, boyfriend.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: Pay me the money that you owe me.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: Can we keep it moving?
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: So the guy calls over his manager so she could look at Ruby's receipt, and Ruby asks if there's a problem.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: Before she can answer, however, we've discovered that Bess made it through the transaction successfully.
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: As the checkout girl asks if she wants her receipt.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: She said, No, I'll hold it.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: And she exhales.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: I guess she won, like, I have it in my hand.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: I'm not going to lose it.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Can we tell you put stuff in the bag and end up throwing the bag away?
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: That's where I always choose to email my receipts.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: Ruby finds success as the manager ends up asking her whether or not she wants it all back on a card.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: Cash is fine, she says with a smile.
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: Annie decides to go the electronic route, which is actually quite smart.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: You could spend more money quicker and with less items.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: So she drops$20,000 on four, no, five?
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: I think four.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: Well, there were five, there were four thousand each.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: And she goes, oh, let's just do five.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: She added another one.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: So she spent twenty thousand on five TVs.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: A sales associate named Brian shamelessly flirts with her.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: Though it turns out he's not just doing for the commission.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: After he offers her free and home installation, but she rebuffs for obvious reasons.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Brian writes a pathetic pickup line involving the more banal and store and home hookup in the back of her receipt.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: Ruby's at home trying to hide the money, and she puts it in her sewing box, decorated with kittens, before Stan finds her.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: And he asks her, you know, how's your double shifts going?
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: And she asks for an update on Sarah's dance class.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: And so Dan is showing her some of his dance moves.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: And he realized she's not wearing her diner uniform because he is meant to be a detective.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: She's like, oh, I left it at work.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: It's covered in catch-up and frustration.
- 28:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:12SPEAKER_04: I was just like.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Lisa, I have to ask you.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: If you were hiding stacks of green bands, where would you stash it?
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: Do you okay?
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: Don't answer that because you might have to stash it.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Do you have a spot to stash it?
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: I do also.
- 28:33SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 28:35SPEAKER_03: However, my stash spot couldn't hold all that cash.
- 28:42SPEAKER_03: It it it could barely hold one band of cash, um, even if they were big bills.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:50SPEAKER_03: Um I'm sure I can find a spot.
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: I have a stash, but it's not made for that much money.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: But I do have a spot.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 29:00SPEAKER_03: I have a spot.
- 29:01SPEAKER_03: It's exactly.
- 29:02SPEAKER_03: It's not meant for that.
- 29:04SPEAKER_03: That kind of that bulk.
- 29:07SPEAKER_03: That bulk, right?
- 29:09SPEAKER_03: Um but that I'm sure I if I needed to, I am damn sure I could find another spot.
- 29:15SPEAKER_03: I will make a spot.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: And then off camera, we can tell each other our spots.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Or you could just edit it.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: Beth is smartly hiding the real money in the hid in the healthy cereal boxes and dog food bags.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: When Dean walks in offering to help her, he tells her he just wants to be useful.
- 29:36SPEAKER_03: See, that will work in my house.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you're like, what's why?
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: Why why are you being useful?
- 29:41SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 29:41SPEAKER_03: That will work because the dog.
- 29:45SPEAKER_03: No, no, well, well, we for well, we have a bin to put the dog food in to take it out of the bag.
- 29:51SPEAKER_03: But even the cereal, most kids, you know, they see something that's like healthy and they're like, ugh, we you know, give me this shit with all the sugar.
- 30:00SPEAKER_03: Not my fuckers.
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: Oh no, oh no, because if they see mom even sniffing at it, thinking about eating it, they're like, oh, we want some of this.
- 30:12SPEAKER_03: Like, I I I buy like cinnamon toast crunch because the kids like it.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: And I like cinnamon toast crunch.
- 30:20SPEAKER_03: But I I bought Cheerios because I was like, all right, Cheerios, a little healthier option, so that, right?
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 30:27SPEAKER_03: Guess guess guess what's sitting in the cabinet unopened?
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: The cinnamon toast crunch.
- 30:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 30:33SPEAKER_03: But they finished the Cheerios on me.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: The plain Cheerios, not even the honey nut Cheerios.
- 30:38SPEAKER_03: I can't well, I can't eat honey nut Cheerios.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, because the nuts, duh.
- 30:42SPEAKER_03: And um I buy grape nuts because I like to add them to the like I like the bowl of I like Cheerios anyway.
- 30:50SPEAKER_03: And they they're good, like, you know, like a toddler, you know, like to snack while I work.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, whatever.
- 30:56SPEAKER_03: But like, give me a bowl of Cheerios, plain Cheerios, put some grape nuts and get a nice crunch, chop up a banana.
- 31:02SPEAKER_03: And maybe just a touch of brown sugar.
- 31:04SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm a happy girl.
- 31:07SPEAKER_03: But like, I would buy the healthy cereal that looks boring and bad and so unattractive to a child.
- 31:17SPEAKER_03: And if they see me that I have any interest in it, they're like, oh, well, well then we should have some too.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: And they'll finish it on me.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: I'm going to say this is your fault.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: You want to know why it's your fault?
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: Because you started introducing your children to different foods as babies.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: And they have an expanded palate.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: That's so it's your fault for raising your kids right.
- 31:40SPEAKER_03: Well, we have we have a very, very simple rule rule, right?
- 31:44SPEAKER_03: One of the rules when it comes to food is that don't say you don't like it if you didn't try it.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: See, that's your fault for raising mature young adults with healthy palates.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:56SPEAKER_03: I mean, we, you know, we don't make them eat something if they don't like it, but at least just take a bite.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: So, just in case people who've never heard our show before, that was me being sarcastic.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: You know.
- 32:09SPEAKER_03: So if you want to be able to hide bands of cash in your cereal boxes, don't have your kids have a healthy relationship with food.
- 32:16SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: No healthy relationship with food.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: Your fault, Lisa.
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: Fine.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: This is the scene I was talking about earlier.
- 32:25SPEAKER_03: About him helping?
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: He tells her he wants to be useful, but she deflects by telling him he should be resting.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: She asks him what his doctors are saying, and he spirals deeper into some bullshit lie that makes no sense.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Telling her, oh, it's just gonna be chemotherapy or radiation or whatever.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, here's my thought before I forget, because you know, I'm old.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: Dean totally gives me that vibe of the stereotypical man that someone needs to write his obit when he has a cold.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: So the fact that he just being so like blase about the cancer and the fact that Beth is not picking up on it.
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: You can tell, like this is, I think this is an integral scene of the season, series, whatever, of that point where she's just so distracted with the issue at hand.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: One, hiding the money, two laundering money.
- 33:23SPEAKER_01: Rio, the feds, everyone else is flipping their lid.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Ruby's stressed out, Annie's like, fuck it, I got bills to pay.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: This is, I think, the subtle way of showing that she has her own way of not handling it because she doesn't realize that Dean is being too casual about fucking cancer.
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: And she doesn't pick up on it.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I did kind of catch that a little bit.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: And just to add to what you were saying, at first I was thinking, well, you know, it's like she's so distracted with everything else around her that I feel like she was almost just brushing him off.
- 34:06SPEAKER_03: Not because she doesn't necessarily care about the cancer or because like she doesn't want to deal with him and and she wants to get this money safely put away.
- 34:20SPEAKER_03: So I think i if anybody had walked into that room, she would have brushed him away.
- 34:27SPEAKER_03: But I wonder now, right?
- 34:31SPEAKER_03: And being that you said the way you know, she's too smart when she makes that comment to Annie a little later about the wives knowing obviously I took it to mean like the amber shit.
- 34:52SPEAKER_03: But now I'm wondering if she's just if it's the show's way of uh what's what's the word like foreshadowing?
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: Mm-mm.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: Well, it could be a foreshadowing, yes.
- 35:06SPEAKER_03: But the opposite, like of the dissociation between the two.
- 35:12SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: About how she's like, oh, you think she doesn't know and blah blah blah, but like, but look at her, she doesn't know.
- 35:19SPEAKER_03: Could it be that or could it be the foreshadowing because she even knows she's letting him just because maybe it's easier or because it's whatever.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: So do I remember every episode of this of the show?
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: No, I don't remember.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: Do I remember the big picture?
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: So I don't want you to take this anyway.
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: This is just me spitballing.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: I think the reason I took it that way is because you saw everyone else kind of freaking out.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: And she's always has it.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: She's calm, she's good.
- 35:53SPEAKER_01: And I think I think I was like, this is her way of not of showing that she's not good.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: Well, it's like three times this episode she shows it just clicks into four to and then I think it's like that homage to even the strong need someone to check in on them.
- 36:11SPEAKER_01: Kind of like, and then the whole she knows, I think it was even more to like the women the wife always knows to prove it to drive it home.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: Like she really's not paying attention to him.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah at that moment.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: She really isn't until I think what she'll have her aha moment.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: I think it'll click eventually.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: When money laundering becomes a little bit more easier, becomes second nature.
- 36:42SPEAKER_03: Well, because like she had the scene with the guy in the shopping um with and she didn't even flinch.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: And I'm sorry, but if I'm putting my groceries away, like some mundane activity, talking to an associate, and some person, I don't care, man or woman, some person just walks up to me and starts touching my shit and putting it in my car, I'm gonna be like, whoa, it's it's disturbing um It's distracting.
- 37:14SPEAKER_03: Distracting and upset, like upsetting even, even if they mean you no harm.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: It's just, you know.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: At the best, it's distracting.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: At best.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: You're gonna you're gonna be thrown off your game.
- 37:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 37:25SPEAKER_03: When the guy um like all the times at the agent, it's like she's still like not stuttering, not like uh uh well, you know, the whole Dean thing when he walks in on her putting the money away, when gang friend is like, you don't have to do anything.
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: He's like, wipe your ass with the money, I don't care.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: Just by putting my money.
- 37:48SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 37:48SPEAKER_03: And she's still just and like Ruby is like, well, you know, and Andy's like, well, she, you know, the piano lessons, and she's just kind of like, and you know, so we see this pattern of her being always kind of just smooth, letting it roll, and the clipboard, oh my god, the clipboard that was genius.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: We didn't get that, we didn't get there yet.
- 38:11SPEAKER_03: No, but like it's so it's like all the just you know, all of these examples of her just being so cool, calm, and collected, and just picking it up and and going where needed.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: And so I think it's she's using the skills she's learned as a stay-at-home mom for crime.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: Like, you know what I mean?
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: And I'm not mad at it.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: I think um all of us should learn, take out skills we learn in our everyday life.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I say, but you know, you know, do something different with it.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: These days, shit.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: I hear that can get you elected to president.
- 38:49SPEAKER_03: Oh fuck, if not a white guy, it won't work.
- 38:53SPEAKER_03: All right, next.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: I could pimp out I would pimp out a white guy.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: Don't fucking play with me.
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: Well, we I guess we could just we just qualify for jobs in the White House.
- 39:02SPEAKER_03: Although none of our potential crimes would involve children.
- 39:06SPEAKER_03: So maybe it doesn't.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna have to pick a crime and pimp out a white guy to do the crime so we can get away with it.
- 39:13SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah.
- 39:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: I'm okay with that.
- 39:16SPEAKER_03: Let me know if you need an accomplice.
- 39:17SPEAKER_03: Copy that I need an accomplice.
- 39:19SPEAKER_03: I mean that was stupid.
- 39:20SPEAKER_03: Hello.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: What time is first of all?
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: First of all, it was kind of given whether you want to be part of a team or not, you were going to be.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: You're being bothered.
- 39:32SPEAKER_03: Okay, voluntoleed.
- 39:33SPEAKER_04: Look at her, she's like, thank you.
- 39:35SPEAKER_03: I feel so wanted.
- 39:37SPEAKER_03: I like I like be wanted for crimes with friends.
- 39:41SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 39:41SPEAKER_03: Crimes with friends.
- 39:43SPEAKER_04: I think that that should be our that should be our last episode.
- 39:49SPEAKER_03: Listen, last eight episode we were creating the WIA, and this episode we're committing the crime.
- 39:55SPEAKER_03: So I'm not really sure where our lives are taking us.
- 39:58SPEAKER_03: But a lot could change in a couple of weeks, I guess.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: But what honestly, what's the difference between the two?
- 40:05SPEAKER_03: We gotta merge them.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: Tune in and stay tuned for the next episode when we figure out how to merge the two.
- 40:11SPEAKER_03: Because honestly, a little bit of a good W I A needs some crime.
- 40:15SPEAKER_03: Crimes with friends, CWF.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: W-I-A, C W F A B C R S R S V P, R S B.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Take care, C C B.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: We'll figure it out.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: We'll play with that.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: Because honestly, they're both the same thing.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: One's just quote unquote illegal, but they do the same shit.
- 40:41SPEAKER_03: I took some medication today.
- 40:46SPEAKER_03: Just give me the finger.
- 40:48SPEAKER_03: I'm medicated.
- 40:49SPEAKER_03: I have very bad back issues, and I I took something.
- 40:56SPEAKER_03: Okay, Dean wants to help.
- 40:58SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 40:59SPEAKER_03: We're past that.
- 41:00SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 41:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, I did that.
- 41:02SPEAKER_03: Um No, I know.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: I I think I did that.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know what I did.
- 41:05SPEAKER_03: You did do that.
- 41:06SPEAKER_03: I don't know if you were finished with doing that, but you did do that.
- 41:09SPEAKER_03: That's what he said.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm finished.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: I don't know about you.
- 41:15SPEAKER_03: So he's gonna put gas in her car because that's how she got rid of him.
- 41:19SPEAKER_03: And then he's like, you know, if none of this, if this never happened with Amber, like would we still be together?
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: Yes, I remember, yes.
- 41:28SPEAKER_03: And she's she says she doesn't know how to answer, then he says, Oh, I guess I got my answer.
- 41:33SPEAKER_03: But in fairness, if none of this happened with Amber, she probably wouldn't be reevaluating her whole fucking life.
- 41:40SPEAKER_03: So you would still be together.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: It's because of that interruption that got you think about all of it.
- 41:49SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 41:50SPEAKER_03: So Yeah, you fucked up guy.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: I think she would like to say that she would have gotten to that point without the the Amber stuff.
- 42:02SPEAKER_03: It would have taken it just would have taken some other catalysts to get another lunchpin.
- 42:07SPEAKER_03: Right, to get her out of the status quo.
- 42:11SPEAKER_03: I mean it could have been a kid moving out, it could have been an injury, like it just could have been anything, but I believe, and and I say this as somebody in a relationship, like you don't necessarily think outside until there's an interruption.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: Because you're in it.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: You don't see just like when I was living in New York.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: Nothing is wrong until something is wrong.
- 42:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, you see that something is actually better.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: Like I miss home, but at the same time, when I go back, I am claustrophobic as far as wait, it's cost me 60 bucks to get the fucking bus and the train.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: Like, this is fucking ridiculous.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 42:52SPEAKER_03: And it's just And come back now, there's congestion pricing.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: I it They finally did it.
- 42:58SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, it's a little, it's stifling.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm just how did I live here?
- 43:05SPEAKER_01: But when you're in it, it's just part of your normal everyday life.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 43:09SPEAKER_03: You think about like cat like we grew up in buildings, no well, maybe you.
- 43:16SPEAKER_03: I don't know, I've been never invited, but no for that.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: No elevator, right?
- 43:24SPEAKER_03: Like you walk, you walk up all the stairs.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: You want to go to the fourth floor, you walk up the stairs.
- 43:30SPEAKER_03: Not a big deal.
- 43:31SPEAKER_03: And one of the the most weird things, and I feel like this might be just like a New York thing, but how you could tell who, and and this is not like inside your apartment, it's in your building, but not in your apartment, obviously.
- 43:48SPEAKER_03: You know who exactly is going up and down the steps by the way they walk in, yeah.
- 43:53SPEAKER_03: They walk down the steps.
- 43:54SPEAKER_03: It was like, oh yeah, that's so and so.
- 43:57SPEAKER_01: That's apartment 2A.
- 43:59SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: I mean Because you may not know their names, but you know them.
- 44:02SPEAKER_03: One bathroom per apartment.
- 44:05SPEAKER_03: And it's funny, in my uncle's apartment, the shower was in the kitchen, but the toilet was in the hallway.
- 44:13SPEAKER_03: Cause it's a, you know, old pre-war building.
- 44:16SPEAKER_03: And like you think about all of those little things now.
- 44:19SPEAKER_03: I have two bathrooms where I live.
- 44:21SPEAKER_03: You have a bath well, you have two bathrooms.
- 44:23SPEAKER_03: And you think about It was nothing.
- 44:26SPEAKER_03: It was nothing like you not being able to lock the bathroom door in case somebody had to pee while you were in the shower.
- 44:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 44:32SPEAKER_03: Or, you know, asking everyone in your house, you need to use the bathroom before I take a shower, before I take a shit.
- 44:38SPEAKER_03: Like you know what I mean?
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: Walking up, carrying shit up the steps and not even having a closet because, you know, the the railroad apartments didn't have closets.
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: And it was just not a thing.
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: And now it's like and and a shared yard.
- 44:56SPEAKER_03: We had a shared yard.
- 44:58SPEAKER_03: You know, everyone had to take turns cleaning the common areas.
- 45:01SPEAKER_03: And now it's like we have a lawn.
- 45:03SPEAKER_03: We have like our oh I have a bathroom in my bedroom.
- 45:08SPEAKER_03: Like I don't have a leaky ceiling.
- 45:11SPEAKER_03: Like when she washes her clothes upstairs, like, you know, or or holes in the ceiling when I could just faintly see the light from her kitchen.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: Like and it's like when you grow up in that space, you just never think past it.
- 45:27SPEAKER_03: I mean you do, but like in abstract ways, you know?
- 45:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 45:31SPEAKER_03: And now living not in that exact way, it's hard to think like, would I do that again?
- 45:42SPEAKER_03: Would I ever want to live in an apartment like, you know, with windows only on, you know, like one side of the house, or just you know, being surrounded on three sides practically.
- 45:59SPEAKER_03: But yeah.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I'm I'm I'm not moving back.
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: Love you.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 46:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know.
- 46:07unknown: Okay.
- 46:09SPEAKER_03: But here, see here, you gotta like the best both worlds.
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: But I yeah.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: I can if I need some city life, I can drive into Chicago and I don't have to worry about congestion pricing.
- 46:21SPEAKER_03: That's true.
- 46:23SPEAKER_03: If I want city life, I go to the end of my block and get a bus to Port Authority and not even have to worry about parking.
- 46:30SPEAKER_01: Good point.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, I could just jump on the Amtrak.
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: That's true.
- 46:34SPEAKER_03: Like I jump on the bus.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 46:37SPEAKER_03: You you could actually, you know what?
- 46:39SPEAKER_03: That's a really good idea.
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: Jump on the Amtrak and take it to Granson.
- 46:43SPEAKER_04: I was like, no, you're gonna stay.
- 46:46SPEAKER_03: I was waiting for that.
- 46:49SPEAKER_03: You knew.
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: I knew.
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: I know you.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: Back to Annie.
- 46:52SPEAKER_03: You feel like going out of state?
- 46:53SPEAKER_03: What do you go to Idaho and look at potatoes?
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: I do not.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: If I want to get if I want to go out of state, I get on a fucking plane.
- 47:00SPEAKER_03: But you know what I'm saying?
- 47:01SPEAKER_03: I don't need to get on a plane.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: In f in four hours, I could be in like three different states.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Interesting states.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: You can jump on and be in interesting states.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 47:12SPEAKER_01: Not me.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: I don't think I have to get on a plane and be like, okay.
- 47:17SPEAKER_01: But I like I like to do it.
- 47:18SPEAKER_03: I could go to Philly in an hour.
- 47:20SPEAKER_03: I love Philly.
- 47:21SPEAKER_03: I could go to Washington in like four hours.
- 47:24SPEAKER_03: Well, these days, I don't want to go to Washington, but I could go Baltimore.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: I can't get anywhere interesting and I can't drive anywhere interesting.
- 47:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, see?
- 47:38SPEAKER_03: That's why the East Coast is the best coast.
- 47:41SPEAKER_03: East Coast is the best coast.
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: That's a that's oh, we gotta remember those wording for our rap song.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: Wait, what?
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: We have to remember those lyrics for our rap song, the biggest song.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, we're making a rap song?
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: We are now.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, speaking of okay, off topic, on topic.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: I don't know where we are right now.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: When we were doing Lost, we were supposed to do a rapslash jingle based on the Lost.
- 48:07SPEAKER_01: And we decided to do it on Lost.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 48:10SPEAKER_03: One of us actually did it and came through, and the other one was like, fuck this, I suck.
- 48:15SPEAKER_03: I'm not doing it.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: And I want you to guess which one of us came through and did it in like 15 minutes.
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: And I still have it somewhere.
- 48:27SPEAKER_03: Wait, wait, pull this.
- 48:28SPEAKER_03: I actually forgot all about it until you just mentioned.
- 48:32SPEAKER_03: I just thought of it.
- 48:33SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Lisa, it's easy.
- 48:35SPEAKER_03: It's fine.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: I believe in you.
- 48:37SPEAKER_03: I don't believe in me.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: So I still have it.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, I still have it.
- 48:43SPEAKER_01: All right, so perform it.
- 48:44SPEAKER_01: I'm not performing it.
- 48:46SPEAKER_01: Hope I was to write the lyric and j the jingle.
- 48:49SPEAKER_01: I didn't have a beat.
- 48:51SPEAKER_01: We're sass and the sip.
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: We're sass and sip sipping on some sass.
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: Come join us on a walkabout down the right rabbit hole.
- 48:58SPEAKER_01: Grab your wine.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: We won't do no harm.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: We're here to talk about loss and a greater good.
- 49:03SPEAKER_01: Let's start with the pilot.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: Yo, what happened to pilot one and two?
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: That was cute.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 49:10SPEAKER_01: Smoke monsters, polar bears, and whatever the case may be.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: There's only one way to find out, and that's to join the Exodus into the jungle.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: And then we're gonna do a little hook.
- 49:20SPEAKER_01: And then Lisa's part was supposed to come in, and she didn't do it.
- 49:24SPEAKER_03: Yours was so good, I could never have topped that.
- 49:27SPEAKER_03: You were so full of shit.
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: Stop with the bullshit.
- 49:33SPEAKER_01: And may I ask, the idea to do this was Lisa's.
- 49:38SPEAKER_01: Wait, was it?
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 49:41SPEAKER_01: It was your idea.
- 49:42SPEAKER_01: It was your idea.
- 49:43SPEAKER_01: I remember I was driving from kebab and grill because I ordered lunch a month in lunch from my store, and I was driving back to work.
- 49:53SPEAKER_01: It was and I was actually crossing Washington at the light, and I'm like, I don't believe she wants me to do this.
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: I remember you see, wants you to do it.
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: I don't think I wanted me to do that.
- 50:05SPEAKER_03: It was your idea.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, it was your idea for us to do this, okay?
- 50:08SPEAKER_03: You it was not my idea to make me do it.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, no, you were so no semantics that you're not getting out of this one.
- 50:17SPEAKER_01: So I wasn't drunk or something.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: No, it was in the middle of the work day.
- 50:21SPEAKER_01: Well, no.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, I don't I So yeah, and honestly, you still need to do a verse on the second season titles.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: And I won't give up until you do it.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: I won't come visit you.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: My d my July trip will be postponed.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: You were coming here in July?
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: Well, my trip to Arizona, I don't have to take it till later on.
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: So I'll have I don't have to squeeze in two trips in July.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: So I was gonna try to do yours.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not going to.
- 50:50SPEAKER_01: I'm not going to.
- 50:51SPEAKER_03: I should shut up.
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: Oh, shut up.
- 50:53SPEAKER_03: Oh, you're so sweet.
- 50:57SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna do it.
- 51:00SPEAKER_01: I mean She's not gonna do it.
- 51:02SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: I I'm I'm so not like, no.
- 51:06SPEAKER_03: I can't I can't.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: Just we're we're just we're not gonna perform it.
- 51:10SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna say it.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: I just want I just want you to put the work into it.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: Put your back into it.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: I'll try, I'll try.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: Come on, you know you can do it.
- 51:22SPEAKER_03: I could, but I don't know.
- 51:23SPEAKER_03: Is that sound of ice cube?
- 51:25SPEAKER_03: You know what?
- 51:26SPEAKER_03: I'm so gonna pick the worst show ever.
- 51:29SPEAKER_03: If you thought Lost was bad, just wait till it's my turn again.
- 51:32SPEAKER_03: Now accepting applications for the worst.
- 51:37SPEAKER_03: What?
- 51:39SPEAKER_03: Also, it's that the applications for new co-clexic comedy.
- 51:42SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be like Step Brothers meet stumb and dumber.
- 51:45SPEAKER_03: This is when you need to find new co-hosts again.
- 51:48SPEAKER_03: I can't believe you don't like that shit.
- 51:50SPEAKER_03: I love mystical comedy.
- 51:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're gonna have to find new co-hosts then.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: Alright, let's talk about Annie.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: I forgot about the show.
- 51:58SPEAKER_01: Surrounded by TV, still in their boxes, Annie is enjoying ice cream but feeling lonely.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: At first, she tries Sadie, but feeling guilty, she hangs up.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: And iconic salt and pepper is playing in the background.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: It's none of your business if she wants to be a freak again selling on the weekends.
- 52:17SPEAKER_03: None of your business.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 52:19SPEAKER_03: Um Didn't I tell you that was like one of my favorite CDs of all time?
- 52:23SPEAKER_01: It's everyone's favorite CD.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: I remember where I was.
- 52:26SPEAKER_01: I was with Krista and the boys doing Christmas photos at Bass Pro Shops.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is where I live now.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: Shut up.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: And shoot.
- 52:35SPEAKER_01: Um, shoot, shoop, boo, came on.
- 52:39SPEAKER_01: Now no one in that whole motherfucking building started singing.
- 52:44SPEAKER_01: That is, and everyone in there was Gen X.
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: There was like, there was enough Gen Xers in there to be like, oh shit.
- 52:51SPEAKER_01: I'm like, we got to go.
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: She's like, well, I said, oh, we gotta go.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: I don't trust any place that won't sing a song pepper at all.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: Because there's some songs that transcends everything.
- 53:03SPEAKER_01: This is one of them.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yep, get the fuck out of here.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: Every song, like every song on that album, if you get in my car today, at least one of them is gonna play.
- 53:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:17SPEAKER_01: I will stop having a conversation with someone and start singing the song.
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: And then go back to the conversation.
- 53:25SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 53:25SPEAKER_01: You need to be prepared for me to stop talking to you to belt out this fucking hook.
- 53:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 53:32SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna go.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: How many times have you been in the car?
- 53:37SPEAKER_01: And I think pe especially if there's something like, I don't know, Cardi B, something like real ratchet gangster rap might be on that's playing, and I'm having my own fucking concert.
- 53:49SPEAKER_01: And people probably think I'm cursing them out.
- 53:53SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no, I'm just having a concert.
- 53:55SPEAKER_01: I swear to God.
- 53:56SPEAKER_01: I listen to Kidrick Lamar.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: Leave me alone.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 53:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: It's fine.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: Because I'm just like in my car and I'm like, and I'm doing the whole hand thing.
- 54:05SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's 2025.
- 54:07SPEAKER_03: I feel like people should just know this already.
- 54:09SPEAKER_01: But I'm pretty sure because like you're lipping and you're doing the hand thing.
- 54:13SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my god, that bitch is cursing me out.
- 54:15SPEAKER_03: Like, you know what I mean?
- 54:16SPEAKER_03: I'm like, no, I'm sorry.
- 54:17SPEAKER_03: See, I I I would think that that's more like over here in New Jersey.
- 54:22SPEAKER_03: Somebody raises a hand and you're like, what the fuck?
- 54:24SPEAKER_03: Hey, yo.
- 54:26SPEAKER_01: They probably think it, but they're probably too scared to do anything, you know.
- 54:29SPEAKER_01: Black Red Driving.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Annie picks up the receipt with Brian's number on back.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: After her booty call texting, we see the aftermath as Brian scrambles to get up and out of Annie's apartment.
- 54:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for a drink of water.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I'm just like, why don't you go on yet?
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: But that's just me.
- 54:48SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 54:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: But then and I feel like her be like, where are you going?
- 54:55SPEAKER_03: Like, come back.
- 54:56SPEAKER_03: It's like, oh I'm leaving even faster.
- 54:58SPEAKER_03: Even thank you.
- 55:01SPEAKER_03: Um, he is.
- 55:02SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't want somebody I just met like staying.
- 55:06SPEAKER_03: I I don't even I don't even know if I would have invited them to my ew.
- 55:12SPEAKER_01: Like like I don't know.
- 55:13SPEAKER_01: Um it's it's okay, so it's it's a two-prong situation.
- 55:18SPEAKER_01: Like, like someone I don't know at their house in their home base or my home base, but I know what all my weapons are.
- 55:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, that's a good point.
- 55:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:27SPEAKER_03: Um definitely afterwards you gotta go.
- 55:30SPEAKER_01: Why are you staying?
- 55:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:32SPEAKER_03: What the fuck are you doing?
- 55:33SPEAKER_01: Why are you cuddling me?
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: Nope, nope.
- 55:38SPEAKER_03: Like you just let this person I want to do a goodie bag for them.
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: Like, here, here's a goody bag.
- 55:44SPEAKER_01: Like Derek Cheater.
- 55:45SPEAKER_01: Here's electrolytes and here's a Gatorade.
- 55:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and a granola bar.
- 55:50SPEAKER_01: A banana and a granola bar.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: Actually, Gatorade sounds good.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: Gotta build those electrolytes because I've worked the fuck out of you.
- 56:03SPEAKER_01: This is all gonna have to be edited.
- 56:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:06SPEAKER_03: Should get some Gatorades for up here.
- 56:09SPEAKER_03: Some bananas.
- 56:11SPEAKER_03: And banola bars.
- 56:16SPEAKER_01: I took medication today, so give your own husband his booty bag.
- 56:22SPEAKER_01: Good job, honey.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then we eat sour straws.
- 56:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:31SPEAKER_01: I think as children, we were destined to be like coke addicts and smokers.
- 56:37SPEAKER_01: Well, the candy.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: I can't.
- 56:40SPEAKER_01: Goodbye, Lisa.
- 56:42SPEAKER_01: Surrounded by the TV still in their boxes, Annie is enjoying ice cream but feeling lonely.
- 56:48SPEAKER_01: At first, she tries Saty, but feeling guilty, she hangs up.
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: In the background, we hear iconic salt and pepper.
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: It's none of your business.
- 56:56SPEAKER_01: You have to edit the singing part into this one.
- 56:59SPEAKER_01: Come on, doing it again.
- 57:01SPEAKER_01: Annie picks up the receipt with Brian's number in the back.
- 57:04SPEAKER_01: At the booty texting him, I like that booty texting.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: We would, I'm gonna do, I'm gonna booty text everybody.
- 57:11SPEAKER_01: Um, no, I have nowhere to booty text.
- 57:14SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 57:14SPEAKER_01: My phone is so dry.
- 57:15SPEAKER_01: I am single single that I have no one to drunk text.
- 57:18SPEAKER_01: That's how bad it is.
- 57:20SPEAKER_03: You could text me.
- 57:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 57:22SPEAKER_01: So I could drunk text you for a booty call?
- 57:25SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna come over because you live far.
- 57:28SPEAKER_03: But yes, I'm gonna.
- 57:29SPEAKER_03: Well, she would in theory.
- 57:30SPEAKER_03: So that's well, I'll bring like ice cream and margarita uh capri son.
- 57:36SPEAKER_01: Nice.
- 57:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 57:39SPEAKER_03: I'm not helping you with that problem.
- 57:40SPEAKER_01: So you're a boozy text.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Oh yes, I'm a boozy call.
- 57:45SPEAKER_03: She's a boozy call.
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: Hey! Okay.
- 57:49SPEAKER_03: Yes, please.
- 57:50SPEAKER_01: I hate us right now.
- 57:54SPEAKER_01: We witness the aftermath as Brian scrambles to get up and out of Annie's apartment.
- 57:59SPEAKER_01: He insists he's getting a glass of water, but he's straight up ghost.
- 58:02SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately for Annie, he also makes off with the sock with the shop city receipt.
- 58:08SPEAKER_01: Annie calls for a problem-solving meeting, not a put not a project meeting, management meeting, but a problem-solving meeting with the girls.
- 58:17SPEAKER_01: It's just that the guy stole the receipt.
- 58:19SPEAKER_01: Knowing her sister too well, Beth asks, Did you check your pocket?
- 58:24SPEAKER_01: The other problem Annie has is that she can't even remember the homeboy's name, other than having a vague recollection of starting with a B.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: Regardless of his name, the guy is off the grid and not answering any Annie's calls or text.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: Now, I listen, when I stands, go for it.
- 58:43SPEAKER_01: If you're gonna do it, do it.
- 58:45SPEAKER_01: I don't understand the not getting someone's name.
- 58:48SPEAKER_01: Because someone's name is gonna be in my phone with his phone number, his first name, last name, his background check.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: Because anything happens to me, my people, you know, my sister knows it's in her phone.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: We're gonna find his ass will be found.
- 59:05SPEAKER_01: So I don't I don't get the not having someone's name.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: But anyway, she then suggests that maybe they just give gang friend the TVs in lieu of actual cash.
- 59:16SPEAKER_01: But Beth snaps, yeah, because that works so well with the Hummels.
- 59:19SPEAKER_01: And can we please stop calling him Gang Fran?
- 59:21SPEAKER_01: Ruby says.
- 59:22SPEAKER_01: He seems very distressed over this.
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: She's like, What's his name?
- 59:27SPEAKER_01: Ron?
- 59:28SPEAKER_01: And Beth, just frustrated over everything, goes, his name is Ryo.
- 59:32SPEAKER_01: And Ruby's like, uh-huh.
- 59:35SPEAKER_01: She gives it that look only a black woman can give.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: Um she's like, uh-huh.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: I see.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 59:41SPEAKER_03: Well, they were like, is his name Ron?
- 59:43SPEAKER_03: And they're like, yo, Ron, get the I forgot what they say.
- 59:47SPEAKER_03: I was like, but I could kind of hear it.
- 59:52SPEAKER_03: Like, maybe.
- 59:53SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's not like Bill.
- 59:57SPEAKER_02: Bob.
- 59:59SPEAKER_03: Well, that's a callback to another episode.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_03: Bill.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_03: As opposed to William.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and and and Billy.
- 1:00:10unknown: Okay.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_01: That was a tangent.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_01: I listened to that.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_01: I was like, what the fuck?
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_03: It's divorced the second time around.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_03: Oh, great.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_03: Well, if you want to hear how bad that was, that was in the real world episodes.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's not like his his name isn't like some fancy uppity name.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_03: Like Ron, it's one syllable.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_03: It suffices.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, Bill is one syllable too, but it doesn't.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_04: I'm just waiting for that to click in.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_04: I'm like, how long is it going to be?
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_03: Well, it's not like they're like, yo, Ronald.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_01: Ronald.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_03: Ronaldo.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_03: Like he gets Day Day.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_01: Okay, come on.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_01: My head hurts.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_01: In a good way from laughing so hard.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_03: My cheeks hurt.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_01: The three march into Shop City, demanding to know if anyone lies.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_01: I did say that.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_01: Three march into Shop City, demanding to know if someone whose name starts with B is in.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_01: As luck would have it, Brian is not only off for the day, but he also isn't working until next week.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_01: At the Brian's coworker understandably refuses to give them Brian's address.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_01: Beth takes business into her own hands.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_01: She grabs a clipboard.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_01: She does a bath.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_01: Beth does a bath.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_01: She's her own action now.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_01: Beth is bething.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_01: Beth takes a clipboard and convinces another store associate that she's with corporate and then Mark needs the current employee list with addresses because there's going to be some layoffs.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_01: And I actually have some of the sex scene scripted out.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: Are you ready?
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_03: And and can I just say that, see, now all of those names that she said?
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_03: Mark, Ted.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_03: Those are a bad gang name.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_03: Those are bad gang names.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_03: Totally bad.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_03: Yes, they're one syllable, but they're all bad gang names.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_01: So maybe that'd be good gang names then.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_03: So I think what it is, right, is like it has to, it has to just have at least no, that's not right.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_03: Because Ted.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_03: Doesn't say like it has to have like one syllable.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_03: And like not no, like not a hard syllable, right?
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_03: Because like mark.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_03: That's a hard side.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_03: But like Ted doesn't a hard syllable really.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_03: What's the so I don't know, you just have to know.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know it when you feel it.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_01: You just know it.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_01: This is like that's what he said.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_01: That's what she said.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_01: You know it when you feel it.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_01: Rita is the associate.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_01: Rita goes, who's Mark?
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_01: Beth.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_01: Mark.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_01: Ted's boss.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_01: Hired Bill.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_01: Overhauled the entire division with Ed.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_01: Rita.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_01: Ed Fielding?
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_01: Beth.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_01: What other Ed would I be talking about?
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_01: How long have you worked here?
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_01: Rita.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_01: 15 years?
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_01: Beth.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_01: Wow, Rita.
- 1:03:14SPEAKER_01: Just give me that list.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: I gotta say, yes, I did write it down.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_01: I was just like, okay, I took I took my like um speech to touch on, and I listened, I waited for the I put my phone to the TV up as a plane.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_01: And then add it.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_01: Anyway, this was example, this is a ex prime example of Beth Bething.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_01: That has just like flows into her illegal characters.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_01: And I'm so proud of her.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: I'm just like we all need a friend like Beth.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_01: Or if you're lucky enough, you both can be Beth.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_03: I don't think that we get along.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: Well, I think we take turns being Beth, as far as being able to slide into and bullshit our way out of something.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_01: When one doesn't have it, the other one picks up.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_03: We're Beth.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_03: Sometimes I feel like that's more like Beth and Ruby though.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_03: Beth and Ruby.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're bethumbly.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_00: But I can shoot it.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_00: I know how I know.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_03: Alright, fair point.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_03: You got me.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_03: Is it because I'm black, Lisa?
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_03: It's because one of us has a gun and it's not me.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_03: Although Ruby is black and uh is white.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_01: So maybe That joke went over your head and they hit you smacked in the back.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like a boomerang.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_03: Because I really wasn't thinking that at first.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_03: I was just like, well, you had a gun.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_03: I missed it.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_03: I just have to tell you, I took some medication before.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_03: Maybe it don't mix well.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_03: No, it doesn't mix well.
- 1:05:03unknown: Okay.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_03: Remember when I was medicated at Podfest and I almost peed on myself in the hallway?
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_04: Oh, I forgot about that.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_04: I was trying to get to the room so I could pee.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_04: And then I fell down at the door because I could get an office.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_03: Oh I keep stopping and leaning against the wall because I really thought I was gonna pee my pants.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_03: At least it was a carpet, nobody's gonna be a big thing.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure many people had peed on that carpet.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_01: It's a hotel.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_01: And pretty sure there's worse things than peeing on that carpet.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_04: Ew.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_04: I was trying to make you feel better.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_03: No, because I'm pretty sure I walked around the hallways barefoot at one point.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_03: I don't know why.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_03: Why would you do that?
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_03: Did I do that?
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_03: I know I walk in the room barefoot.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_03: I feel like I went out for something.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_03: Was it when I was trying to get the picture of the sign?
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_03: You were barefooted?
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_01: Was I?
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_01: It's very you need to get go get go get checked out.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_01: Six months later.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_01: You know, I walk around barefoot a lot.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_01: It's hard to keep track.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have to try to get you to pee on yourself this the next trip.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_03: Who wants to come hang out with us at PodFest and see if they subpeas her pants?
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_00: I will record it.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_03: Oh god.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_03: Patreon top tier people can't.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_03: Oh can you imagine?
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_03: Oh, you you gotta pay a lot for my pee pee video.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_03: Let me know how much you're willing to pay.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_03: We can make that happen.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_03: Mama needs a new car.
- 1:07:03unknown: Okay.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_03: Shit, I'll pee on myself every other week.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_03: I'll pee on you if that helps.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_04: That's extra.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_04: That would be extra.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_04: Double the pee.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_04: That is so gross.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_04: How it hurts.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_04: My head hurts.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_03: How did we devolve into peeing on ourselves?
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_03: I probably started it.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_01: I think you did.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_01: After they get his address, the girls go to confront Brian at his home.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_01: Not only has he thrown away the receipt, it also turns out that he's married with the kid.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_01: When his wife asks who's at the door, Beth tells her that they have the wrong apartment.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: So I think this is one of the best scenes in the episode.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_01: They're now dumpster diving, looking for the receipt.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_01: Pretty quickly they think they found it, but it turns out to be a Starbucks receipt.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_01: And he tries to offer confirmation of it being from the coffee house by saying, it has coffee grounds on it.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_01: But Ruby hisses, that's not coffee grounds.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_01: What was it?
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_01: I think it's meant for your imagination, but in my head, I'm thinking little critters probably on it.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_01: A whole bunch of ants could look like coffee grinds.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because I was like, well, what could it be like?
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_03: Not poop.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_03: Like you would know if it's poop.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_03: I'm thinking insect a whole bunch of insects.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_03: That's worse.
- 1:08:37unknown: Yeah.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_01: I think I might prefer the poop.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_01: The poop.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_01: Same, same.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_01: Annie's laughing in response gets Beth even angry at her sister's laissez-faire attitude over the fact that she slept with a married man.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_01: After Annie asks her if after Annie asks her if her sister is slush shaming her, Beth answers, no, I'm just plain shaming you.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_01: But things turn serious and mean.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_01: When Annie hurts Beth and only a way a sister can, by evoking the truth.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_01: You know, Beth, I'm really sorry, but it's not my problem problem that you haven't had sex since Emma was born.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_01: And it's all dried up ass twigs up there.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_01: I felt that to my bones, because you know, I have dried up ass twigs in my shit also.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_01: Um what comes out is now powdered milk.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_03: So it's so if it's not dried up ass twigs, it's like what's the opposite?
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_03: Like a full bush?
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_03: A lush, a lush forest.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_01: A lush bush?
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_01: A lush bush.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_01: Because you know, like a think of like a for when it's lush, it's moist and warm and inviting.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_01: So it's like the rainforest.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_01: It's the rainforest.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_01: Call it rain jungle.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, I've over here think doing lyrics now.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_01: Lisa's like, could today rain forest.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_03: That's where you ate yesterday.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_04: That was the food.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_04: Tasted amazing.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_04: Alright, it was dark in there.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_04: No.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_04: Are you okay with all of this data?
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_03: Medicare.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_01: Hi as a girlass pussy.
- 1:10:33SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_04: Um drunk.
- 1:10:37unknown: Yeah.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_04: That too.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_01: Take away the high part, just drunk.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_01: I can't see.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_01: I got tears in my eyes.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_01: It's Ruby's long and low damn.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_01: That shit had me dying.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_01: The when she said damn, that one made it so funny.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_01: Cause she was just Damn.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_01: That seals the scene.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_01: That steals the scene.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_01: Annie twists her knife.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_03: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_03: You don't have to say if you know the answer.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_03: You don't have to elaborate.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_03: But do they ever talk about how they became friends?
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_03: Just seems like such an unlikely.
- 1:11:19SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 1:11:23SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, pretty much, well, Annie and of the sisters.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, but I don't know.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_01: I don't think they do.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_01: Annie twists her knife and deeper as she calls out Beth for never calling out Dean.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_01: But Beth assures Annie that Brian's wife, like Beth, knew exactly what was happening in their marriage.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_01: Ruby once again cuts the tension by finding a dirty diaper.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_01: And Annie reminds her that Brian, his wife, had a baby.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_01: It's adult, Ruby answers.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_01: Which is a lot worse than holding a baby's diaper.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_01: Beth brings that scene to a close by coming in in a clutch after she finds a receipt underneath Brian's daughter's artwork.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_01: Like, really, dude?
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_03: Are you surprised?
- 1:12:13SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:12:13SPEAKER_01: I'm surprised that I'm not surprised.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_03: Although, in fairness, like kids make artwork 47 times a day.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_03: I can't really keep all of it.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_03: Not when you live in the city.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I keep axles and angels in a little folder.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but wait till it's you know, they're turning it out like a sweatshop.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_01: Well, uh, they're actually getting older, so it's it's becoming less than it was before.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_03: Okay, wait, wait till they go to like pre-K.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_01: That's their mama's problem.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_03: That's their mama's That's their mama's issue.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and that's where we're at.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_01: The next morning, as Beth is getting the kids in her minivan, whose back end looks like whisked cheese.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_01: And thankfully she g she backed into her her her driveway.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_01: Agent Turner approaches her in her driveway.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_01: He shows her a picture of Rio coming out of her house.
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_01: And when she says she can't says that can't be the case, he goes, but that's your house.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_01: I guess.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_01: She does she does a shaggy.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_01: It wasn't me.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_01: He offers to swing by later to show her to Dean at that point.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_01: Realizing she's stuck, she tells Turn that she'll come into his office tomorrow, but he replies, today's better.
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_01: And we do know, I hate to say this, but it was if it was Ruby and not Beth, there'll be no options given.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_01: She would have been holding to to talk to him right then and there, but that's just me.
- 1:13:46SPEAKER_01: Ruby's at Stan, no, she's not at Stan's dance recital.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_01: She's at Sarah's dance recital.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_03: I mean, let you know what we we did see only moves from well, we didn't see moves from Sarah this episode, so maybe it should have been his dance.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_03: Maybe it should have been his.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_01: But before the show came began, uh, did we do add that she gave herself a hoe bath in the bathroom sink?
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_03: I wonder why what like I couldn't understand what I missed.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_01: I don't I thought I missed something.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_01: I guess with all the project the what did happen with the dumpster styling before the recital, and she had didn't have time to like clean up.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_01: Like she changed clothes, but yeah.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_03: It just I don't know why it just seemed like so much further away.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_01: Sarah collapses as is having the seizures.
- 1:14:43SPEAKER_01: The doctor's the hospital.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_03: No, wait a minute.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_03: No, no, wait a minute.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_01: No, it's the next day.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_01: It is the next day.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_03: It's the next day because when when she goes because Beth gets home, she's tiptoeing and the little and the little girl is like, Mom, we're wearing your shoes.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_03: So yeah, so it was the next day.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_01: So why'd she give herself a hoe bath?
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_01: Maybe maybe she just felt unfresh and there's time just to need to I don't know.
- 1:15:07SPEAKER_01: I don't think it happened for a reason.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_01: I just think it was a scene that they used.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, in my head, there was a scene before that that they cut out.
- 1:15:16SPEAKER_01: In my head.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_01: Like they probably Unless maybe, maybe, maybe.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_03: She did go straight from dumpster diving to a recital, because recitals tend to be in the evening, right?
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_01: But the next scene was Beth with the kids and the F and Turner, it was daylight.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_01: So it's it's safe to assume that the recital was next.
- 1:15:40SPEAKER_01: They did dumpster diving, and then Turner meets her outside at her driveway during the daylight.
- 1:15:47SPEAKER_01: So I'm assuming it's the next day.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know because unless Ruby's dance recital was the that same night of the dumpster diving, and they went to the show.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_01: Right, that's what I mean.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_03: Because I know, like, when Beth gets home from dumpster diving, that's when she's like creeping in and the kid sees her and tells her about her shoes, and then she's looking at the picture.
- 1:16:11SPEAKER_03: And I remember even going back because I was like, why does her hand look like that?
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_03: And I paused it on that scene, and I was like, oh right, it's probably dirty from being in the dumpster.
- 1:16:23SPEAKER_03: So I just I remember having that thought, like pausing on her hand because.
- 1:16:26SPEAKER_01: Okay, so she's giving herself a whole bath.
- 1:16:30SPEAKER_01: We don't know why.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that's what she's doing.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_01: Um, before the show could begin, Sarah collapses as having seizures.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_01: The doctor at the hospital says Sarah's kidney is non-functioning, which confounds her parents because as far as they know, their daughter's been taking the expensive miracle drug.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_01: Or has she?
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_01: They find an empty mint tin with the pills under Sarah's mattress.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_01: Sarah confesses that she was feeling better, so she was saving the expensive medicine until she needed it again, admitting that she knows they can't afford the drug.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_01: And Stan goes, Well, that's not how medicine works.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_01: And then Ruby goes, And you're this smart class?
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_01: Like, what the hell?
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_01: Which is a joke to lighting things up.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_01: And it was funny.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_01: And they finally told the truth that they're rich, but they didn't want her to be spoiled.
- 1:17:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and she's a princess.
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_01: She goes, This is like a bad movie.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_01: Beth is giving Rio his$100,000 in real money and asking for his advice how to handle the FBI.
- 1:17:48SPEAKER_01: She's nervous when she tells him the Fess had got a picture of him.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_01: He laughs.
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_01: He goes, That ain't special.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_01: I'm on Facebook too.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_01: He makes a point.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_01: He's like, listen, the FBI ain't on me, you know, I ain't doing something right.
- 1:18:03SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_01: He's straight, he's fine.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_01: So before giving Beth their money, Rio tells Beth, just tell Turner we're having an affair.
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_01: But his final direction to us is to make him sound good.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_01: I was like, Bet, hold my beer.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_01: Um back at the hospital, Beth and Annie surprised Ruby with a pink bakery box.
- 1:18:28SPEAKER_01: Those better be donuts, and not those whack ass cheese danishes.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_01: I like cheese danishes over donuts personally.
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_03: Me too.
- 1:18:37SPEAKER_01: Ruby warns her friends.
- 1:18:39SPEAKER_03: Although I did have a donut this morning.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 1:18:42SPEAKER_01: I had ice cream.
- 1:18:45SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_01: They're all cheese, they're cheese, but it's cheddar.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_01: I was like, but it's not cheese, it's cheese.
- 1:18:55SPEAKER_01: It's cheese.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_01: And they have it's but the green band.
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_04: But she's so cute.
- 1:19:00SPEAKER_04: Because then she's like, Liz the donut.
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_01: So the sisters are giving their attire cut to help pay for Sarah's hospital bill.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_01: When she asks him if they've made up, Annie says she apologized, especially because it could have been way worse.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_01: I wanted to say raisin cave instead of ass twigs.
- 1:19:20SPEAKER_01: I was like, ah, yeah, raisin cave.
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_01: I felt that.
- 1:19:24SPEAKER_01: So this is a little thing that kind of gets me.
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_01: Okay, so the hospital bill is not like, it's not like you have to pay before you leave the hospital.
- 1:19:31SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_01: They're not gonna hold you hostage.
- 1:19:34SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:19:34SPEAKER_01: They definitely could have kept their, like they could have kept part, they could have kept their thing and paid the hospital pit by bit.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_01: They still could have helped her, but Annie didn't have to give the lawyer money away right away.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:19:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_01: I just the sentiment was nice, but it was kind of like unnecessary.
- 1:19:53SPEAKER_01: After Annie hilariously filled out a customer complaint card at Shop City about Brian's performance, she was like, oh, so what was the person's name?
- 1:20:02SPEAKER_01: She's like, oh yeah, he was talking shit about you, too.
- 1:20:04SPEAKER_01: Nicole.
- 1:20:05SPEAKER_01: Nicole.
- 1:20:05SPEAKER_01: Oh, so you're Nicole.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_01: I was like, I co-signed that.
- 1:20:09SPEAKER_01: This becomes now Lisa's favorite scene.
- 1:20:12SPEAKER_01: While Annie is dealing with the Brian fiasco, love that petty, love that petty shit.
- 1:20:18SPEAKER_01: Beth goes to finish business with Agent Turner.
- 1:20:21SPEAKER_01: He she admits to him that they had an affair, but when she can't answer basic questions about the night in question, Turner dismisses her.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_01: But then she becomes the Beth we've seen for a while.
- 1:20:32SPEAKER_01: So cunning in these very delicate situations, she regroups.
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_01: She sits back down across with the FBI agent and spins a tell of a one-night stand so specific and so convincing, we all felt it.
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_01: I thought the detail about the pancakes was just a little too far.
- 1:20:51SPEAKER_01: I think it was I think that was our homage to like fuck you.
- 1:20:54SPEAKER_01: You want details?
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_01: No, I know, I know the detail.
- 1:20:56SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_03: She had me until the pancakes.
- 1:21:00SPEAKER_01: She had me at pancakes.
- 1:21:02SPEAKER_01: Um and that is it for season one, episode five, taking care of business.
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:21:13SPEAKER_01: Any thoughts?
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_01: Um, I want to watch episode six.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_01: We took us six hours to record this one.
- 1:21:21SPEAKER_01: Um this reminds me of the days when we had nothing to do and all we did was drink.
- 1:21:28unknown: Yeah.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_01: And we were so fucked up throughout the whole episode.
- 1:21:31SPEAKER_01: Like took us six hours.
- 1:21:32SPEAKER_01: Legit, like three hours to record episode.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_03: One of us is.
- 1:21:36SPEAKER_01: Well, honestly, I'm fun sober.
- 1:21:38SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not.
- 1:21:40SPEAKER_03: Well, I am too.
- 1:21:42SPEAKER_01: But but I'm more fun.
- 1:21:44SPEAKER_01: You are more fun.
- 1:21:46SPEAKER_01: Like, if one person had to be sober, it's okay for me to be the sober one.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_01: Because I'm just Well, no, I don't mind being the sober one.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_01: But sometimes I like to get to be the fucked up one.
- 1:21:56SPEAKER_01: I like you fucked up.
- 1:21:58SPEAKER_01: I like the fucked up Lisa.
- 1:21:59SPEAKER_01: Fucked up Lisa is fun, Lisa.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_01: Because I would make a joke out of anything sober.
- 1:22:03SPEAKER_01: Like, do you really want me even more fucked up?
- 1:22:07SPEAKER_01: I'm a mess to begin with.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_01: If you want to be.
- 1:22:10SPEAKER_00: She's like, that is true, but I'm not gonna hurt your feelings.
- 1:22:16SPEAKER_01: You're not hurting my feelings if I said it, Lisa.
- 1:22:19SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:22:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:22:22SPEAKER_04: Um I got a cramp.
- 1:22:24SPEAKER_04: Oh fuck, oh, oh, ow! Ow!
- 1:22:31SPEAKER_03: What was what you kind of startled me.
- 1:22:38SPEAKER_03: I was trying to close the episode.
- 1:22:40SPEAKER_01: I had a cramp.
- 1:22:42SPEAKER_01: I would have gonna put my leg a certain way, and I don't know why I moved something, and my it was like Charlie Horse.
- 1:22:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, remember pregnancy cholly horses?
- 1:22:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:22:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:22:51SPEAKER_01: Not this regular Charlie horse, but a pregnancy trolley horse.
- 1:22:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, even my cat just left me.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_01: Fuck you.
- 1:22:59unknown: Okay.
- 1:23:00SPEAKER_03: Okay.

- 1:23:27SPEAKER_01: See you later.
- 1:23:28SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_01: Or I could just get out of playing with a box of pastries in July, like you did for a hurricane.

- 1:23:47SPEAKER_03: What do you want?
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_01: Well, the mixer won't make it.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_01: No, the concrete mixer won't make it at the pastries will.
- 1:23:57SPEAKER_01: This bitch got on a drove to Brooklyn, went to my favorite bakery, got me a box of pastries, then drove to the fucking airport and a hurricane and brought me my food.
- 1:24:13SPEAKER_01: Brought me pastries from Mont Leone's.
- 1:24:16SPEAKER_01: She loves me.
- 1:24:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:24:19SPEAKER_01: Don't tell them.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_03: She loves me more than she loves you.
- 1:24:24SPEAKER_03: Okay, no.

- 1:24:36SPEAKER_03: What the fuck?
- 1:24:37SPEAKER_03: I know it's how the hell did I get here?
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_03: Wait, don't laugh at me.
