- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, 710WOR presents The Mark Simone Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hey, it's Friday. Yeah, it's Friday. And, well, we've got
- 0:13Speaker 2: a lot to get to. This ice shooting was an
- 0:16Speaker 2: awful incident last night. But what really happened, we'll get
- 0:18Speaker 2: to that. We'll get to Iran. We'll get to the
- 0:22Speaker 2: firing squad that's going to take place today. Yeah, right
- 0:25Speaker 2: here in the United States. We'll get to Crazy Mayor Mamdani.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We'll get to Bruce Blakeman. Actually, he'll be with us.
- 0:31Speaker 2: And we'll get to the debates, a couple of big
- 0:33Speaker 2: debates last night. Now, last night there was this ICE
- 0:39Speaker 2: shooting in Marble Hill in the Bronx. Naturally, Mayor Mamdani
- 0:48Speaker 2: jumps to conclusions, goes off half-cocked, knee-jerk reaction. The officers,
- 0:55Speaker 2: the ICE officers, now according to them, we've got to
- 0:59Speaker 2: wait until we get the actual Full details. There might
- 1:03Speaker 2: be body cam footage. Apparently the New York City surveillance
- 1:07Speaker 2: cameras that are everywhere didn't capture the actual shooting. But
- 1:13Speaker 2: what ICE is saying, and if this is correct, it
- 1:15Speaker 2: was a justified shooting. You can hear a lot of
- 1:17Speaker 2: Democrats yelling and screaming about ICE. But what the officers
- 1:21Speaker 2: are saying is that as they tried to stop the car,
- 1:24Speaker 2: the guy in the car, who's a career criminal, with
- 1:27Speaker 2: gang ties, career criminal with gang ties. He did have
- 1:30Speaker 2: a five-year-old boy in the car with him. It's believed
- 1:33Speaker 2: it's his son, but this is a career criminal. They've
- 1:36Speaker 2: dealt with him before. They're out to arrest him. Now, remember,
- 1:39Speaker 2: when you're a career criminal, you've already tangled with law
- 1:42Speaker 2: enforcement a lot of times, and you've already tangled with ICE.
- 1:46Speaker 2: You tend to not want to get arrested again. So
- 1:49Speaker 2: you might do anything to avoid arrest. So what they're saying,
- 1:52Speaker 2: ICE is saying, is that as they tried to stop him,
- 1:56Speaker 2: He took his car and tried to run them over. Now,
- 1:59Speaker 2: if that's the case, any law enforcement agency, you're justified
- 2:04Speaker 2: in shooting. If he's trying to run you over and
- 2:06Speaker 2: kill you with his car, you can shoot. They fired
- 2:09Speaker 2: seven shots. There's only one bullet hole in the windshield,
- 2:13Speaker 2: which would indicate six shots missed the windshield. Now, naturally,
- 2:19Speaker 2: Mamdani has no use for ice, goes off half-cocked, yelling
- 2:23Speaker 2: and screaming. about how awful ICE is.
- 2:26Speaker 3: New York City will not stand by while ICE agents
- 2:29Speaker 3: shoot New Yorkers. And we will not back down from
- 2:32Speaker 3: the demand that so many, including myself, have put forward
- 2:36Speaker 3: time and again.
- 2:37Speaker 4: This is an agency that must be abolished.
- 2:40Speaker 2: ICE is not shooting New Yorkers. What they're doing is
- 2:42Speaker 2: they're trying to arrest career criminals, illegals here illegally, who
- 2:47Speaker 2: are criminals committing crimes. They're not going after any New Yorkers.
- 2:50Speaker 2: They're just going after illegals. who aren't supposed to be here,
- 2:53Speaker 2: and even though they're here illegally, are committing crimes. Mamdani
- 2:58Speaker 2: going crazy. I've never seen him that angry. But he
- 3:02Speaker 2: was apparently on the phone over a two-hour period, on
- 3:06Speaker 2: the phone with President Trump. The guy went to the hospital.
- 3:10Speaker 2: He was taken to the hospital. Apparently he wasn't hurt
- 3:11Speaker 2: that bad because he was released from the hospital and
- 3:15Speaker 2: then taken into ICE custody. Mamdani, one of the things
- 3:19Speaker 2: with Trump, Mamdani demanding he be released immediately to uh...
- 3:23Speaker 2: new york city uh... ice is not going to do
- 3:25Speaker 2: that uh... he's my dad for.
- 3:27Speaker 3: The past two hours i've been on the phone with
- 3:30Speaker 3: president trump and secretary mullen negotiating the release of the
- 3:35Speaker 3: man ice agents shot those negotiations were unsuccessful just moments
- 3:42Speaker 3: ago ice put the man in unmarked vehicle and whisked
- 3:45Speaker 3: him away.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yeah, which it's supposed to do. Basically, this is just
- 3:49Speaker 2: following the law. You've got to follow the law. Whatever U.S.
- 3:51Speaker 2: law is, that's what you do. And Mamdani just can't
- 3:56Speaker 2: seem to... Well, a lot of left-wingers, they think there
- 4:01Speaker 2: should be an exception to the law for illegal aliens.
- 4:05Speaker 2: They just think they should... There's a bunch of laws
- 4:09Speaker 2: there they think should not be enforced. Now, the DHS
- 4:13Speaker 2: will have a press conference this morning. They'll address this. Now,
- 4:16Speaker 2: If there is body cam footage, there should be. Holman
- 4:20Speaker 2: had promised all these agents would wear body cameras. But
- 4:23Speaker 2: if that's released, that could settle the whole thing instantly. Now,
- 4:26Speaker 2: there were no witnesses. There were witnesses that got there
- 4:29Speaker 2: after the shooting, just after it. They saw the aftermath
- 4:32Speaker 2: of it.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Ice agents tried to barricade the guy in his car,
- 4:34Speaker 5: a couple of cars, and tried to drive away.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And they shot at him multiple times with his five-year-old
- 4:40Speaker 2: baby in the car.
- 4:40Speaker 6: The baby's fine.
- 4:42Speaker 7: He's apparently stable in the hospital, but we think that
- 4:44Speaker 7: he aligned to her to keep the neighborhood calm.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, he did have a child with him. His mom, Donnie.
- 4:49Speaker 3: School had just gotten out. The street was crowded with
- 4:52Speaker 3: families and children. When ICE agents opened fire, a five-year-old child,
- 4:57Speaker 3: a five-year-old child was in the backseat of the car.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Thank God that child is physically unharmed.
- 5:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Now, remember, it's possible ICE is totally wrong here. There
- 5:09Speaker 2: was no reason to fire. We haven't seen this. body
- 5:11Speaker 2: cam footage we don't know exactly what happened yet but
- 5:15Speaker 2: but uh you get these mamdani types who are running
- 5:18Speaker 2: around yelling and screaming that ice is a terrorist organization
- 5:22Speaker 2: that they should be taken off the street they should
- 5:24Speaker 2: never be like listen to mamdani.
- 5:26Speaker 3: We know that ice is rotten to its core today's
- 5:30Speaker 3: shooting is only further devastating confirmation of what we have
- 5:34Speaker 3: long known which is that ICE operates with impunity, that
- 5:38Speaker 3: they sow chaos and terror across our country, that they
- 5:41Speaker 3: have killed far more of our neighbors than they could
- 5:44Speaker 3: ever have claimed to save.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I mean, that's just total nonsense. ICE has made almost
- 5:50Speaker 2: a million arrests, a million. This type of incident that
- 5:54Speaker 2: we just saw, how many out of a million? Three.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Three out of a million. It's a pretty good track record.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Very good track record. So, And I don't think he's
- 6:05Speaker 2: aware that most Americans, maybe not right in New York City,
- 6:07Speaker 2: but most Americans want these laws enforced. They want these illegals.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And they're not just going after illegals. They're going specifically
- 6:14Speaker 2: after illegals who are criminals, who are committing crimes. Most
- 6:19Speaker 2: people want them taken off their streets. Somebody who's a robber,
- 6:22Speaker 2: a rapist, a gang member. Most people want them taken
- 6:26Speaker 2: out of their community. So most people are for ICE.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But again, Mamdani got really heated. yelling and screaming, and
- 6:35Speaker 2: luckily the police commissioner was there just trying to go
- 6:38Speaker 2: over the facts.
- 6:38Speaker 9: The individual who was shot has been identified as 28-year-old
- 6:42Speaker 9: Oscar Belgal. He has two prior arrests in New York City,
- 6:46Speaker 9: one for robbery in 2023, in which he pleaded guilty
- 6:50Speaker 9: to fourth-degree grand larceny and received five years probation, and
- 6:55Speaker 9: one for criminal sale of a controlled substance in 2025,
- 6:58Speaker 9: which is still pending. Based on evidence collected at the scene,
- 7:04Speaker 9: we know that at least one ICE agent discharged the
- 7:07Speaker 9: seven rounds, striking the driver in the neck below his
- 7:11Speaker 9: left ear.
- 7:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Again, he got out of the hospital. He's now in
- 7:15Speaker 2: ICE custody. Well, we'll get back to this. President Trump, busy, busy,
- 7:22Speaker 2: busy this weekend. Every day he's going to be traveling somewhere.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Today he goes to Syracuse to campaign. Now, it's believed
- 7:30Speaker 2: that Bruce Blakeman will be there campaigning with him. We'll
- 7:34Speaker 2: talk to Bruce Blakeman later on the show. We'll ask him.
- 7:37Speaker 2: But it would be the first appearance together. So President
- 7:40Speaker 2: Trump campaigning in upstate New York today. Tomorrow, Saturday, he
- 7:45Speaker 2: goes to Tennessee. Then he goes to Alabama. This is
- 7:48Speaker 2: all in the same day. Then he comes back to
- 7:50Speaker 2: the White House. Then Sunday, he'll be in Virginia. So
- 7:55Speaker 2: it's a busy, busy campaign schedule. Midterms, the president will
- 7:59Speaker 2: be working his tail off, going crazy, trying to wrap
- 8:03Speaker 2: up the midterms for Republicans. It looks a lot better
- 8:06Speaker 2: for Republicans than the public polls are saying. These public polls,
- 8:12Speaker 2: the metrics are absolutely rigged. They dramatically undersample Republicans in them.
- 8:19Speaker 2: They don't use likely voters. They use what they call adults,
- 8:23Speaker 2: which means whoever they want. They don't use the right demos.
- 8:27Speaker 2: This is all deliberate. This is all to make it
- 8:29Speaker 2: look like it's hopeless. It's to suppress Republican turnout. In
- 8:35Speaker 2: the real polls, Republicans, Democrats, it looks pretty much neck
- 8:39Speaker 2: and neck. And there's a key factor that you got
- 8:45Speaker 2: to look at. Since it's neck and neck, the election
- 8:50Speaker 2: will be determined by turnout. Whichever side gets the best
- 8:53Speaker 2: turnout wins. Well, right now, turnout looks like it's favoring
- 8:57Speaker 2: Republicans because their registration is going up. Whoever recently registered
- 9:02Speaker 2: is most likely to turn out. Listen to the CNN pollster.
- 9:06Speaker 10: Okay, you see the polling over the last two years
- 9:08Speaker 10: really moving in the Democrats' favor, but are they actually
- 9:11Speaker 10: gaining in terms of registration, at least compared to where
- 9:14Speaker 10: we were two years ago? Well, I think this makes
- 9:16Speaker 10: it pretty simple, right? Pretty simple. In Pennsylvania, no.
- 9:20Speaker 2: North Carolina, no.
- 9:21Speaker 10: Nevada, no. Arizona, no. There may be some tiny late
- 9:24Speaker 10: gains that are going on right now, right, that I
- 9:26Speaker 10: think over the last month maybe Democrats are getting, but
- 9:29Speaker 10: when you take the longer-term view versus the 2024 election
- 9:32Speaker 10: in which Republicans won all of these states, Democrats are
- 9:35Speaker 10: in fact... not actually gaining ground.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Wow. So interesting. Republican turnout registration is up in a
- 9:45Speaker 2: lot of places. So, hey, there were two big debates
- 9:48Speaker 2: last night. Now, nobody saw the attorney general debate because
- 9:52Speaker 2: it was on New York One. Nobody sees New York One.
- 9:54Speaker 2: The Democrats are deliberately refusing to do debates. The only
- 9:59Speaker 2: thing they'll do is New York One. Two reasons. One,
- 10:02Speaker 2: nobody sees it. Two, New York One is the most
- 10:05Speaker 2: biased left-wing media outlet in New York. Totally biased. It
- 10:10Speaker 2: was Letitia James, who's up for re-election. You can get
- 10:12Speaker 2: rid of her this year. In 25 days, you can
- 10:16Speaker 2: get rid of Letitia James. So she was... Debating the
- 10:19Speaker 2: Republican attorney general candidate. Very good. Would be a very
- 10:22Speaker 2: good attorney general. Vote for the Republican. I tell you
- 10:25Speaker 2: her name, but nobody can pronounce it. It's Kamaradi something.
- 10:32Speaker 2: But just look for the Republican attorney general candidate. That's
- 10:36Speaker 2: who you want. Letitia James. And by the way, if
- 10:39Speaker 2: you want, you can go on YouTube or somewhere and
- 10:42Speaker 2: see this debate last night. This Republican candidate was very
- 10:46Speaker 2: strong against Letitia James. hit her with some great shots
- 10:50Speaker 2: and Letitia James getting backed into a corner, didn't know
- 10:54Speaker 2: what to say. So she started making up crap and
- 10:56Speaker 2: she started spewing these old lies. At one point she
- 10:59Speaker 2: even said, President Trump put kids in cages. Now it's
- 11:05Speaker 2: New York One, so the moderator naturally didn't say, hey,
- 11:08Speaker 2: that's not true. That's a false story. It's not true.
- 11:11Speaker 2: It's just fake news. I mean, totally just a lie
- 11:14Speaker 2: out of the mouth of Letitia James. You might be saying, wait,
- 11:19Speaker 2: I saw the pictures of the kids in cages. Yeah,
- 11:20Speaker 2: there were pictures of that. They were all taken in
- 11:24Speaker 2: 2008 during the Obama-Biden administration. That's who put the kids
- 11:28Speaker 2: in cages. Those pictures were all done by that Cleveland newspaper, 2008.
- 11:32Speaker 2: That's the kids in cages. That was Obama and Biden
- 11:36Speaker 2: that did that. Hey, later today, there's going to be
- 11:39Speaker 2: a firing squad for this terrorist. This is an amazing case.
- 11:44Speaker 2: The guy becomes a officer. He's a military guy on
- 11:51Speaker 2: our side, an officer, and then somehow becomes a radical terrorist.
- 11:58Speaker 2: He goes nuts on a military base and takes a rifle,
- 12:04Speaker 2: a gun, and starts shooting everybody. He killed 12 of
- 12:07Speaker 2: our soldiers. He shot 20 others. I mean, he's an
- 12:11Speaker 2: absolute terrorist at Fort Hood. He went absolutely nuts, an
- 12:15Speaker 2: army major. just went crazy and started shooting our soldiers
- 12:22Speaker 2: and killed a lot of them. Well, he was convicted
- 12:25Speaker 2: death penalty. They've decided in the Trump administration, Pete Hegseth
- 12:29Speaker 2: has recommended it. Trump has approved it. They're going to
- 12:31Speaker 2: have a firing squad. First one in about a hundred
- 12:34Speaker 2: years in the United States. There's four or five states
- 12:36Speaker 2: that allow firing squads, but they don't really do it.
- 12:39Speaker 2: But the firing squad will be today and you can
- 12:41Speaker 2: watch it. They're going to stream it. It'll be on YouTube.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It'll be on the, uh, government uh the administration streaming
- 12:50Speaker 2: service you can watch the firing squad today here's pete exit.
- 12:53Speaker 11: No brainer execution by firing squad uh army major betrays
- 12:58Speaker 11: his country radical islamist kills a bunch of americans at
- 13:00Speaker 11: fort hood of course we're going to do it at
- 13:02Speaker 11: fort hood we're going to do it on a thursday
- 13:04Speaker 11: we're going to do it at one o'clock which is
- 13:05Speaker 11: when he did it and it's going to be soldiers
- 13:07Speaker 11: with rifles executing the firing squad uh it hadn't been
- 13:10Speaker 11: since world war ii since we've done that.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Did he say thursday no does that mean they already
- 13:16Speaker 2: did it I don't know. But this all happened at
- 13:20Speaker 2: Fort Hood, so he decided to do it at Fort Hood.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Makes perfect sense. That's exactly what you want to do. So, yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 2: there's a lot going on with the races. Oh, there
- 13:32Speaker 2: was another big debate last night. Michigan, you know, you
- 13:34Speaker 2: got the normal guy, Mike Rogers, the Republican, up against
- 13:38Speaker 2: the radical socialist Islam, whatever he is, Mohammed Abdul El-Sayed.
- 13:45Speaker 2: And it was quite a debate they had last night. Now,
- 13:48Speaker 2: the guy is a doctor. You know, there's different kinds
- 13:51Speaker 2: of doctors. There's a doctor where you're actually treating patients
- 13:54Speaker 2: and you're a doctor. Then there's the other kind of
- 13:57Speaker 2: doctor where you're Jill Biden. She was merely an English teacher.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Nothing wrong with that. That's a great thing to be. But,
- 14:03Speaker 2: you know, he keeps saying, Dr. Jill Biden, Dr. Jill Biden.
- 14:06Speaker 2: She was an English teacher at a community college. You
- 14:08Speaker 2: can get a doctorate of education there. Monica Crowley is
- 14:12Speaker 2: a doctor. She's got a PhD, but she doesn't go
- 14:14Speaker 2: around calling herself doctor. But some of these people who
- 14:17Speaker 2: aren't actually treating patients run around calling themselves doctor. But
- 14:20Speaker 2: there were some great moments. Here's Rogers in the debate.
- 14:24Speaker 12: What my friend here just wants to do is he's
- 14:26Speaker 12: kind of like a glitchy AI chat bot is say
- 14:29Speaker 12: the same thing over and over and over again.
- 14:31Speaker 6: But let me tell you this.
- 14:34Speaker 12: He has taken money from groups associated and support the
- 14:37Speaker 12: Muslim Brotherhood. He has taken money from individuals on his
- 14:41Speaker 12: campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you got that problem. And here's Al-Sayed, the radical
- 14:49Speaker 2: nutjob Democratic candidate. I'm going to ask you again tonight,
- 14:52Speaker 2: who do you think is a bigger threat to the
- 14:53Speaker 2: United States, Israel or Iran?
- 14:56Speaker 6: You have 60 seconds.
- 14:56Speaker 13: And again, Rick, I'm just going to say that that's
- 14:58Speaker 13: a ridiculous hypothetical. Because here's what's happening right now.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Our.
- 15:02Speaker 13: ostensible ally in Israel.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Now, it is a ridiculous question. Who's a bigger threat,
- 15:06Speaker 2: Israel or Iran? Well, obviously Israel is no threat to
- 15:09Speaker 2: the United States. Iran is the biggest threat. It's a
- 15:12Speaker 2: ridiculous question. He's right. But watch, he doesn't answer it.
- 15:15Speaker 2: He can't give the answer.
- 15:16Speaker 13: Israel has lobbied us to go to war with Iran.
- 15:21Speaker 13: We have watched as Iran has responded by bombing all
- 15:24Speaker 13: kinds of countries in the Middle East and then choking
- 15:27Speaker 13: off the world's energy supply. So, This is a situation
- 15:32Speaker 13: in which I don't think we should be apart. I
- 15:34Speaker 13: don't want to be pushed into war by Israel.
- 15:36Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Our problem is we don't have the best clip from
- 15:40Speaker 2: the debate, which was he kept calling himself doctor. He's Dr. El-Sayed.
- 15:44Speaker 2: As a doctor, you know, as a doctor. He's a doctor,
- 15:46Speaker 2: as a doctor. Doing this all night. At one point,
- 15:49Speaker 2: Rogers said, keeps calling himself a doctor. Do you know
- 15:52Speaker 2: that if a patient came into his office and he
- 15:55Speaker 2: treated the patient, he could go to jail? He's not
- 15:58Speaker 2: a licensed physician. He's got the title of doctor with
- 16:02Speaker 2: a Ph.D., whatever, some medical training. But he's not a physician.
- 16:05Speaker 2: He's not a doctor. But Rogers was great. We'll see
- 16:08Speaker 2: what that does. The race, believe it or not, is
- 16:10Speaker 2: neck and neck. Al-Sayed has had everybody coming in, even Obama,
- 16:15Speaker 2: everybody coming in to campaign for him. Anyway, we've got
- 16:18Speaker 2: a lot more to get to, lots to talk about
- 16:20Speaker 2: this morning. It's Mark Simone here three hours every day,
- 16:23Speaker 2: 9 to noon, 9 to noon every day, here on 710WOR.
- 16:29Speaker 4: More Mark.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Mark Simone.
- 16:31Speaker 15: Mr.
- 16:32Speaker 6: New York.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Hey, it's Friday. It's a beautiful Friday. It's not going
- 16:43Speaker 2: to be as warm as yesterday. But a nice couple
- 16:46Speaker 2: of days here. Sunny around 70. Rain on Sunday. That's
- 16:52Speaker 2: from a tropical storm that's passing through. We'll get some
- 16:57Speaker 2: remnants of it. Sunday and Monday, you'll have some rain.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's supposed to rain Monday morning, but I think it
- 17:01Speaker 2: stops in the afternoon. Monday, Columbus Day Parade. Now, there's
- 17:05Speaker 2: a big hurricane in the Gulf of America. First one,
- 17:10Speaker 2: since they renamed it the Gulf of America, the big
- 17:13Speaker 2: hurricane coming through. The problem is nobody could tell you
- 17:18Speaker 2: the name of this hurricane. Nobody knows what the hell
- 17:20Speaker 2: the name is. When you first look, you think it's
- 17:23Speaker 2: Hurricane Isaiah. It's not. It's Hurricane, I don't know. I
- 17:29Speaker 2: can't even tell you the name of it. Here's the
- 17:34Speaker 2: governor of Florida, and he's warning everybody that this hurricane
- 17:38Speaker 2: is going to hit very hard. It's going to be
- 17:39Speaker 2: a rough hurricane. It's already a Category 3 hurricane. And
- 17:44Speaker 2: it's a very dangerous landfall as expected tonight. It's mostly
- 17:48Speaker 2: towards the panhandle. But listen to the governor of Florida.
- 17:51Speaker 2: He can't even tell you the name of the hurricane.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I don't know how to pronounce this because it's not normal. So,
- 17:56Speaker 5: you know, I'm calling it Isaiah. You guys can call
- 17:58Speaker 5: it what you want. I know that's not how you
- 18:00Speaker 5: pronounce this. It's something else. But it's weird. And I'm
- 18:03Speaker 5: just going to keep butchering it for the next 72 hours.
- 18:06Speaker 5: And I'd rather just be there.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what happened to Hurricane Fred? Hurricane Sally? Hurricane Tom?
- 18:11Speaker 2: Hurricane Jeff? Is, uh, I'm not going to say, is, uh, EOS.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Is a EOS. Nobody's going to say that. Anyway, uh, Florida, it's, uh,
- 18:23Speaker 2: it's mostly the northern part, mostly the panhandle. It's going
- 18:26Speaker 2: to hit, it'll also hit, uh, towards Alabama. President going
- 18:30Speaker 2: to campaign this weekend in Alabama. He'll be in Tennessee.
- 18:34Speaker 2: He'll be in Alabama. Uh, one of the reasons you
- 18:37Speaker 2: go to Alabama a lot when you're president, it helps
- 18:40Speaker 2: the Florida race, the, uh, candidate for governor, great to Republican,
- 18:45Speaker 2: is running, and Byron Donalds. And if you do a
- 18:49Speaker 2: lot of stuff in Alabama, those media stations, those TV,
- 18:53Speaker 2: the media there reaches the panhandle and the northern part
- 18:58Speaker 2: of Florida. So it helps. In fact, the last visit
- 19:01Speaker 2: that Trump made to Alabama, Byron Donalds went up a
- 19:03Speaker 2: point or two. So it's helping him there. Cornell, well,
- 19:09Speaker 2: this case is going to get messier and messier. They're releasing,
- 19:12Speaker 2: now these kids, the guys in the fraternity, many of
- 19:18Speaker 2: them wealthy kids, many of them have lawyered up. They
- 19:20Speaker 2: got very effective lawyers. Stuff is being released. Texts, signal chats,
- 19:26Speaker 2: texts with the woman. Apparently, if you read these texts,
- 19:30Speaker 2: if you believe these texts, apparently they'd had sex before.
- 19:34Speaker 2: There were a couple of these guys, one in particular
- 19:37Speaker 2: she'd had sex with before. So it was some kind of,
- 19:39Speaker 2: I guess you'd call it a relationship. And this is
- 19:41Speaker 2: going to help these guys. These guys are going to have,
- 19:45Speaker 2: uh obviously a tough time in court but there is
- 19:49Speaker 2: stuff on their side in that the details are kind
- 19:53Speaker 2: of foggy and the woman in her first statement laid
- 19:58Speaker 2: out the whole thing in her next statement the story
- 20:00Speaker 2: was different and in her third statement the story has
- 20:04Speaker 2: been different so they can use that as a defense
- 20:07Speaker 2: that uh And she also admits to being heavily drunk,
- 20:10Speaker 2: I mean, on drugs voluntarily. Had 10 drinks before she
- 20:15Speaker 2: got to the fraternity house.
- 20:17Speaker 6: 10 drinks.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Have you ever had 10 drinks in your life at
- 20:21Speaker 2: one time?
- 20:22Speaker 9: 10?
- 20:23Speaker 2: She gets to the fraternity house, has another drink. That's
- 20:25Speaker 2: 11 drinks. Then she starts taking drugs voluntarily. So that's
- 20:30Speaker 2: another thing they'll use, that her memory can't possibly be
- 20:33Speaker 2: very good. That drunk, that drugged up. So there's a
- 20:37Speaker 2: lot going on. Now, there's also a civil case in Cornell.
- 20:42Speaker 2: They could settle the case with the woman. That might
- 20:46Speaker 2: help it go away a little bit. Then that might
- 20:49Speaker 2: make them look guilty. So it's a very, very tricky
- 20:53Speaker 2: situation for everybody involved. So this crazy campaign for governor,
- 21:04Speaker 2: it's going to heat up the last A couple weeks
- 21:07Speaker 2: are going to be intense. There is a debate. Again,
- 21:09Speaker 2: it'll be on New York One. Nobody sees New York One.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Absolutely nobody. And New York One is the most biased
- 21:18Speaker 2: place in the world. That's the reason that Democrats will
- 21:21Speaker 2: only agree only to a New York One debate. Hey,
- 21:25Speaker 2: workers at the Obama Library are upset. This is the
- 21:29Speaker 2: Obama Library. Here's a story you'll only hear here because...
- 21:34Speaker 2: The fake news is never going to mention this, but
- 21:37Speaker 2: apparently workers at the Obama library run by the Obama
- 21:42Speaker 2: of whatever foundation, the workers say they're being mistreated. They
- 21:48Speaker 2: are actually trying to unionize. They say they're being so mistreated,
- 21:51Speaker 2: ridiculous workloads, vague responses from administration. They've had a list
- 21:56Speaker 2: of complaints. Nobody will answer them. This is the Obama
- 21:59Speaker 2: library workers saying they're going to, They're going to try
- 22:02Speaker 2: to unionize. Their benefits have been cut. Terrible situation there.
- 22:06Speaker 2: This is that Obama library that looks unbelievably ugly. Hideous
- 22:10Speaker 2: looking building. Really ugly building. So apparently the treatment of
- 22:15Speaker 2: the workers there are pretty ugly. Hey, also, look at
- 22:19Speaker 2: into this. There's no Joe Biden library on the horizon. Normally,
- 22:26Speaker 2: he's been out a year and a half now. Normally,
- 22:29Speaker 2: the thing would be... under construction already. There's no hint
- 22:33Speaker 2: of a Biden library. This could be the first president
- 22:39Speaker 2: not to have a presidential library. Apparently, nobody's interested. Now,
- 22:43Speaker 2: when you do a presidential library, first of all, you
- 22:45Speaker 2: have to have a place. You have to have somewhere
- 22:48Speaker 2: to build it. And then you got to have donors
- 22:50Speaker 2: that will pay for it. It's always donors. And Biden
- 22:54Speaker 2: was the king of donors. But Apparently, they're all mad
- 22:57Speaker 2: at him. They can't stand him. In fact, most of
- 22:59Speaker 2: them want a refund for the money they gave him before.
- 23:02Speaker 2: They apparently didn't realize that he was just a complete
- 23:05Speaker 2: frozen vegetable, totally brain dead, didn't know where he was.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So nobody's donating any money. Biden has said he wants
- 23:13Speaker 2: it in Delaware. Delaware is not lifting a finger to
- 23:17Speaker 2: do anything about it. He at one point, I guess
- 23:21Speaker 2: his people approached the University of Delaware and and asked them,
- 23:26Speaker 2: they were always pretty Biden-friendly, asked them, could they take
- 23:29Speaker 2: a building and call it the Biden Library? And that way,
- 23:32Speaker 2: he can pretend he's got a presidential library. But so far,
- 23:36Speaker 2: they haven't agreed to do that. This will be the
- 23:39Speaker 2: first president without a presidential library. Now, probably somebody, somebody
- 23:46Speaker 2: must still like him. He'll kick in a few bucks,
- 23:48Speaker 2: and they'll create maybe a bookmobile or something. That'll be
- 23:51Speaker 2: the presidential library.
- 23:53Speaker 7: But.
- 23:55Speaker 2: It's a year and a half now. Nothing has happened
- 23:57Speaker 2: so far. Hey, we've got a lot to get to.
- 23:58Speaker 2: We'll get to Scott Besson. We'll get to the Wall
- 24:01Speaker 2: Street Journal, no longer a newspaper, now a crazy tabloid.
- 24:07Speaker 2: We'll get to that coming up. A lot to talk
- 24:10Speaker 2: about today. We'll take some calls in a little while
- 24:13Speaker 2: on 710WOR. Now, much more Mark. Mark Simone.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 24:21Speaker 4: On 710WOR.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Hey, so the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded today. Now,
- 24:30Speaker 2: this Nobel Prize is one of the silliest. It would
- 24:33Speaker 2: be a good thing if it were legitimate, but it's
- 24:35Speaker 2: the most biased left-wing nonsense in the world. You remember
- 24:40Speaker 2: Obama was given a Nobel Peace Prize the day he
- 24:44Speaker 2: got elected. He hadn't even started yet. He hadn't even
- 24:46Speaker 2: done anything. It wasn't even possible for him to do anything.
- 24:49Speaker 2: He just got elected. He hadn't taken office. Nobel Peace Prize.
- 24:52Speaker 15: Why?
- 24:52Speaker 2: He's a Democrat. Now, President Trump loves tooting his own horn,
- 24:58Speaker 2: and there he was earlier this week saying, you know,
- 25:01Speaker 2: I settled seven wars. I got all the hostages back.
- 25:06Speaker 2: What more do you have to do to get a
- 25:07Speaker 2: Nobel Prize? Well, you got to not be a Republican.
- 25:10Speaker 2: You have to not be a conservative. They should just
- 25:12Speaker 2: call it the Democratic Peace Prize. And what they yet
- 25:15Speaker 2: like to do, Trump makes a good case there. He
- 25:18Speaker 2: has settled a bunch of wars. He did get all
- 25:21Speaker 2: the hostages released. He did free a couple of countries
- 25:25Speaker 2: from evil dictators, so normally that would get you a
- 25:28Speaker 2: Nobel Peace, but no, no, no. So they awarded it today,
- 25:32Speaker 2: like they usually do in these cases, to an absolutely
- 25:35Speaker 2: useless person who's done absolutely nothing concrete about anything. She
- 25:40Speaker 2: looks like a very nice woman, but the winner of
- 25:43Speaker 2: the Nobel Peace Prize is the UN Human Rights Chief,
- 25:48Speaker 2: Navi Pillay. She's a judge on the International Court of Justice.
- 25:55Speaker 2: The International Court of Justice. Now, that's one of those fake,
- 25:58Speaker 2: made-up courts that has no authority, no power. It doesn't
- 26:01Speaker 2: actually do anything. She's South African-born. She's 85 years old.
- 26:06Speaker 2: She's recognized for her efforts to promote peace. Well, I
- 26:11Speaker 2: will give her credit for that. She has done everything
- 26:14Speaker 2: she can to promote peace. And unfortunately, there's nothing she
- 26:19Speaker 2: can do about it. And she's never actually gotten anything done.
- 26:22Speaker 2: But the Nobel Committee says her work is a source
- 26:26Speaker 2: of hope and inspiration to all those who seek to
- 26:30Speaker 2: bring out a more peaceful world. But again, she's never
- 26:33Speaker 2: actually accomplished anything. Not that she hasn't tried. She just
- 26:36Speaker 2: has no power to do anything except write some poems
- 26:40Speaker 2: and make a speech at the UN. Outside of that,
- 26:43Speaker 2: she's never actually gotten any peace anywhere. But she's the Nobel.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Peace Prize winner. Anyway, let's take some calls. Let's go
- 26:51Speaker 2: to Sal in Yonkers. Sal, how you doing?
- 26:54Speaker 8: Hi, Mark.
- 26:56Speaker 16: Why can't Bruce Lakeman force News 1 to simulcast the
- 27:02Speaker 16: debate on all the News 12s throughout New York State?
- 27:05Speaker 2: Well, because nobody sees the News 12s either. Nobody sees those.
- 27:10Speaker 2: The total of New York 1 plus News 12 comes
- 27:13Speaker 2: to about 42 viewers. That's it. Nobody sees them. Well,
- 27:18Speaker 2: That's the answer. Now, what he should do, he'll be
- 27:22Speaker 2: with us later in the show. I mean, I don't know.
- 27:24Speaker 2: There's nothing you can do. I guess he already has.
- 27:26Speaker 2: You demand that she do a debate on a real
- 27:29Speaker 2: TV station. You know, they've both been approached by Channel 2,
- 27:33Speaker 2: Channel 4, Channel 7 to do debates. Hochul has turned
- 27:37Speaker 2: them all down, refuses to do it. This is with
- 27:41Speaker 2: all the Democrats, Letitia James and the rest. They'll only
- 27:44Speaker 2: do New York 1 because nobody sees it. And it's
- 27:47Speaker 2: very biased, very left-wing, very. So that's where the only
- 27:51Speaker 2: place Democrats will debate. Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis,
- 27:56Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 27:57Speaker 16: I'm well, Mark. Good morning to you. So Obama is
- 28:00Speaker 16: going into campaign for Abdul El-Sayed. My comment is, I
- 28:05Speaker 16: guess it just tells you all you need to know
- 28:08Speaker 16: about Obama and where his loyalties lie.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Well, it's the Democrats and he loves the radical Democrats.
- 28:15Speaker 2: But here's the thing. It's kind of an insult to Al-Sayed. Normally,
- 28:20Speaker 2: Obama would just come and do a rally with you.
- 28:24Speaker 2: He'd get up there. He's a great talker, that Obama.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He'd get up there with Al-Sayed, endorse him, make a
- 28:31Speaker 2: big pitch. But apparently, Obama knows this Al-Sayed is a dirty,
- 28:36Speaker 2: creepy guy. So he's asked the other candidates to come.
- 28:41Speaker 2: the candidate for governor, the candidate for Congress, all the other,
- 28:44Speaker 2: he wants all the other candidates there. And he's bringing
- 28:46Speaker 2: some other Democrats to be with him. So it'll be
- 28:49Speaker 2: like a group thing. It'll not look like it's him
- 28:52Speaker 2: and Al-Sayed together. So he's trying to distance himself. Even
- 28:58Speaker 2: in the rally, we're supposed to be supporting Al-Sayed. Even there,
- 29:01Speaker 2: he's trying to give himself cover 12 different ways for
- 29:04Speaker 2: being anywhere near Al-Sayed. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 29:09Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 29:11Speaker 14: Good morning, Mark.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yes, Mike.
- 29:13Speaker 14: I always appreciate the foul, the faux indignation by guys
- 29:18Speaker 14: like Mondani as he's talking about the shooting incident.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I think that was real. I think that he was
- 29:25Speaker 2: really in a rage. You know, when you come and
- 29:27Speaker 2: kill one of our criminals, that's his thing, defending these criminals.
- 29:31Speaker 2: You come and go after one of our criminals, he
- 29:33Speaker 2: can go into a rage.
- 29:34Speaker 14: Well, you're right. The phone part I'm talking about is
- 29:37Speaker 14: how he's outraged that they were in plain clothes and
- 29:40Speaker 14: they put him in an unlocked car. Well, his security
- 29:42Speaker 14: detail is in plain clothes. And the police.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Department, the NYPD... He has a slight point. The ICE
- 29:50Speaker 2: agents apparently were wearing construction worker kind of clothes, so
- 29:53Speaker 2: they look like construction workers.
- 29:56Speaker 17: Undercover.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Okay, but the NYPD undercover detail that protects Mamdani, Helen
- 30:02Speaker 2: Keller could tell those are cops. They pull up in
- 30:05Speaker 2: these black SUVs. They've got 47 antennas on top. They've
- 30:09Speaker 2: got the cop suits. They've got the earphones. You could
- 30:12Speaker 2: tell they're cops from a mile away. There's no doubt.
- 30:15Speaker 2: That's true.
- 30:16Speaker 14: I just find it interesting that ICE can do nothing right.
- 30:21Speaker 14: By the way, I could argue that this guy was
- 30:23Speaker 14: still on the street because of guys like Mandani and
- 30:25Speaker 14: Hochul's crime, the way they treat criminals. The guy was
- 30:30Speaker 14: a cop to grand theft, and he was out on
- 30:36Speaker 14: five years probation. So he should have been in jail,
- 30:38Speaker 14: and he should have been on the street, and he
- 30:39Speaker 14: wouldn't have gotten shot, and so on and so forth.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Yeah, also, if Mamdani and Hochul and the rest would
- 30:45Speaker 2: cooperate with ICE, this is what Blakeman does in Long Island.
- 30:48Speaker 2: He sends his local police with them. They know the streets.
- 30:52Speaker 2: They know what's going on. And they make sure that
- 30:54Speaker 2: things go in an orderly way. So Blakeman will be
- 30:56Speaker 2: here later. We'll ask him.
- 30:57Speaker 15: Exactly.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Hey, where are you in Florida? Are you on the north?
- 31:00Speaker 14: No, I'm on the east coast, just above Florida. Palm Beach,
- 31:07Speaker 14: 40 minutes north of Palm Beach. So I'm not getting
- 31:09Speaker 14: any of that hurricane, thankfully.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Let's hope not, but you might get something later this year.
- 31:15Speaker 2: What do you people do down there when these hurricanes
- 31:16Speaker 2: keep coming?
- 31:19Speaker 14: I personally cower and talk about driving north.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I know, but you all say, every one of you,
- 31:24Speaker 2: you say, well, I'm not going to live up there.
- 31:26Speaker 2: I can't deal with the snow. That's like two weeks
- 31:29Speaker 2: a year. You don't mind the hurricanes? I'd rather have snow.
- 31:32Speaker 14: I hate the hurricanes. I hate the hurricanes, and I'd
- 31:34Speaker 14: rather have the snow. I just can't afford $ 6, 000 a
- 31:37Speaker 14: month of rent. That's the problem.
- 31:39Speaker 2: All right, but it's getting more and more expensive down there.
- 31:43Speaker 2: You know why it's $ 6, 000? You know why it's so
- 31:45Speaker 2: expensive to rent a place in New York? Because everybody
- 31:49Speaker 2: wants to be here. Everybody's coming here.
- 31:51Speaker 18: Absolutely.
- 31:52Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 31:53Speaker 14: And it's always been expensive. As I said before, when
- 31:56Speaker 14: I first moved in 40-some odd years ago, my $ 350
- 31:58Speaker 14: a month studio was expensive.
- 31:59Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 32:02Speaker 14: I get it. And by the way, everything else down
- 32:05Speaker 14: here is the same price as it is in New York. Food, gas,
- 32:09Speaker 14: it's just cheaper to own a home.
- 32:12Speaker 20: And no tax.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Good call as always, Mike. Thanks for calling. One more.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Let's go to Hal in Freeport. Hal, how are you doing?
- 32:22Speaker 8: Hey, how are you doing? Don't waste bullets on this guy.
- 32:26Speaker 8: Just throw him in the pool with piranhas. The Washington pool.
- 32:32Speaker 8: And don't throw him on with his clothes on.
- 32:35Speaker 2: So, yeah, throw him in the pool of piranhas. I
- 32:38Speaker 2: like this. This is the Largo, the villain in Thunderball.
- 32:41Speaker 2: This is his approach. Remember, he threw Bond in the
- 32:43Speaker 2: pool with the sharks.
- 32:45Speaker 8: But don't throw him in naked. Nobody wants to see
- 32:48Speaker 8: his unit.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Yeah, calm down, calm down. You're getting a little perverted.
- 32:52Speaker 2: First of all, a bullet is 25 cents. You know
- 32:55Speaker 2: how much it costs to have a pool, to maintain it,
- 32:57Speaker 2: to have piranhas? You've got to take care of them.
- 32:59Speaker 2: You've got to feed them.
- 33:00Speaker 18: The pool is already there.
- 33:02Speaker 8: The pool's there.
- 33:05Speaker 2: It's not as easy as you think. You've been watching
- 33:07Speaker 2: too many Bond movies. Thanks for calling. Remember that movie, Thunderball?
- 33:12Speaker 2: And the guy had the pool, beautiful swimming pool on
- 33:14Speaker 2: his estate, but it had these things that would open
- 33:18Speaker 2: up and sharks would come out and eat you.
- 33:20Speaker 8: Remember?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Didn't he throw Bond in there at one point?
- 33:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 2: But again, that's a movie. You can't do that in
- 33:25Speaker 2: real life. Listen, it was a terrible shooting. Mamdani, had
- 33:33Speaker 2: he cooperated with ICE, had he put local cops with them,
- 33:36Speaker 2: things would have gone in a much smoother way. Now,
- 33:39Speaker 2: the DHS is confirming, absolutely confirming, that there was body
- 33:45Speaker 2: camera footage of this. Now, they haven't released it yet. Now,
- 33:48Speaker 2: it's a little suspicious, but we'll see. If they release
- 33:51Speaker 2: the body camera footage, and it's as the officer said,
- 33:55Speaker 2: that the guy tried to run them over, he tried
- 33:56Speaker 2: to ram them with his car, It then becomes a
- 34:00Speaker 2: totally justified shooting. In any law enforcement agency in America,
- 34:05Speaker 2: if you're standing there and he's going to try to
- 34:07Speaker 2: run you over and kill you, you are justified in
- 34:09Speaker 2: stopping him. So we'll see. We'll probably hear about that
- 34:13Speaker 2: later today. We'll keep covering it all morning. We've got
- 34:16Speaker 2: lots to get to today. Mark Simone here. Nine to noon.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Three hours now. Nine to noon every day. And then
- 34:22Speaker 2: at noon, Buck and Clay with a really good show
- 34:25Speaker 2: for you. And then the most listened to radio show
- 34:27Speaker 2: in all of America. Sean Hannity at three. You got
- 34:30Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly at six. The very funny Jimmy Fallon. Nine
- 34:34Speaker 2: to midnight. All that's here on 710WOR.
- 34:39Speaker 4: It's the Mark Simone Show.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Well, hey, it's going to be a beautiful day today. Oh,
- 34:48Speaker 2: not as warm as yesterday. Yesterday was really great. It'll
- 34:51Speaker 2: be about 70 today, but sunny. And then another nice
- 34:54Speaker 2: day tomorrow. And then this tropical storm. We're going to
- 34:58Speaker 2: get some remnants of it. So we're going to have
- 35:00Speaker 2: rain on Sunday into Monday morning. It looks like it
- 35:04Speaker 2: may stop by afternoon because you've got the Columbus Day
- 35:07Speaker 2: parade in the afternoon. So we've got a lot to
- 35:11Speaker 2: get to. Two more hours to go. We'll talk to
- 35:13Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman about the governor's race. We will get to
- 35:17Speaker 2: Mamdani and his overreaction to ICE. Now, ICE, well, we'll
- 35:23Speaker 2: see what the body cam shows. But Some stuff has
- 35:26Speaker 2: come out about Mamdani last night in those phone calls
- 35:29Speaker 2: with the White House. Well, we'll get to that. His behavior,
- 35:34Speaker 2: a little questionable. Also, we'll get to Mamdani may have
- 35:36Speaker 2: crossed a line on October 7th. A lot of people
- 35:39Speaker 2: that were defending him, no longer defending him. His anti-Semitism
- 35:44Speaker 2: really crossed a line on October 7th. Some people that
- 35:47Speaker 2: were behind him now turning on him. So we'll get
- 35:50Speaker 2: to that and a lot more coming up in the
- 35:52Speaker 2: next hour. Also, the Mamdani administration. Wait till you hear
- 35:55Speaker 2: about their new war on cars. We'll get to all
- 35:58Speaker 2: of this coming up. Don't go away. It's three hours,
- 36:00Speaker 2: nine to noon every day, right here on 710WOR. Now
- 36:05Speaker 2: nine till noon weekdays.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Mark Simone.
- 36:09Speaker 2: More Mark. On 710WOR. Hey, it's Friday. It's a beautiful Friday.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Really nice out. It's going to be like that for
- 36:17Speaker 2: the next two days and then some rain on Sunday.
- 36:21Speaker 2: We'll get to Mayor Mamdani. And the Department of Homeland
- 36:25Speaker 2: Security responding to him. It's interesting what happened last night
- 36:29Speaker 2: in those phone calls. We'll get to that. We'll get
- 36:32Speaker 2: to Bruce Blakeman. He's going to be campaigning upstate New York.
- 36:36Speaker 2: President Trump will be there. President Trump and Vice President
- 36:41Speaker 2: Vance will be all over the place. Vance going to Ohio.
- 36:44Speaker 2: President Trump going to Syracuse today. Tennessee and Alabama tomorrow.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Virginia on Sunday. nonstop campaigning till the end. It's 25
- 36:54Speaker 2: days till the midterms. Bruce Blakeman has a debate coming
- 36:59Speaker 2: up this week. Nobody will see it because it's on
- 37:00Speaker 2: New York One. The moderators, New York One, very left-wing,
- 37:06Speaker 2: very biased, so that'll work against him. But he's good
- 37:09Speaker 2: at that. He's really good when he's cornered. He's much,
- 37:13Speaker 2: much smarter, sharper, more articulate than Kathy Hochul, so this
- 37:18Speaker 2: should be interesting. So, The shooting last night caused a
- 37:23Speaker 2: lot of protesting last night, caused Mom Donnie to go
- 37:26Speaker 2: into a rage. Now, some of that was grandstanding. Same
- 37:30Speaker 2: thing with Letitia James, who's up for reelection and had
- 37:33Speaker 2: a bad debate earlier in the evening last night. But,
- 37:39Speaker 2: you know, she's yelling and screaming and, well, not yelling.
- 37:41Speaker 2: She's talking in that very serious voice of hers. Mom
- 37:44Speaker 2: Donnie yelling and screaming, looking livid. But again, a lot
- 37:48Speaker 2: of this is grandstanding for the camera.
- 37:50Speaker 9: The individual who was shot has been identified as 28-year-old
- 37:54Speaker 9: Oscar Belgal. He has two prior arrests in New York City,
- 37:58Speaker 9: one for robbery in 2023, in which he pleaded guilty
- 38:01Speaker 9: to fourth-degree grand larceny and received five years probation, and
- 38:06Speaker 9: one for criminal sale of a controlled substance in 2025,
- 38:10Speaker 9: which is still pending.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Actually, that's Police Commissioner Tish. You know, this is the problem.
- 38:15Speaker 2: He's a career criminal. gang-associated, and he shouldn't have been
- 38:21Speaker 2: out in the street. You know, crazy New York judges, probation.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Even though he pled guilty, he gets probation for robbery.
- 38:29Speaker 2: But apparently, DHS revealing that they don't want ICE agents
- 38:35Speaker 2: to go out in the street and have to do this,
- 38:36Speaker 2: that there are 15,000 illegals in New York, many of
- 38:42Speaker 2: them in custody, who are criminals, who have committed crimes.
- 38:46Speaker 2: They want to have them just turned over to ICE.
- 38:48Speaker 2: They don't want to have to go into the streets
- 38:50Speaker 2: and try to find them and arrest them in the street.
- 38:53Speaker 2: And DHS revealing that the Mamdani administration has absolutely refused
- 38:58Speaker 2: to cooperate in any way or turn them over. Now,
- 39:02Speaker 2: Mamdani said he was on the phone for two hours
- 39:05Speaker 2: last night with Trump.
- 39:06Speaker 3: For the past two hours, I have been on the
- 39:08Speaker 3: phone with President Trump and Secretary Mullen negotiating the release
- 39:14Speaker 3: of the man ICE agents shot. Those negotiations were unsuccessful.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Just moments ago, ICE put the man in an unmarked
- 39:24Speaker 3: vehicle and whisked him away.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Okay, now, Mamdani is not giving you the whole story there.
- 39:29Speaker 2: That's the statement. you keep hearing. He tried to get
- 39:32Speaker 2: the guy, you know, out of ICE custody. He was unsuccessful. Well,
- 39:36Speaker 2: apparently now, and when he says he was on the
- 39:39Speaker 2: phone with President Trump for two hours, he was on
- 39:41Speaker 2: the phone with Department of Homeland Security for two hours.
- 39:44Speaker 2: He was on the phone with Secretary Mullins for two hours.
- 39:48Speaker 2: The president was five minutes of the two hours. And
- 39:51Speaker 2: here's apparently the real story. This is what really happened.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Mamdani wanted ICE to give up this guy, release him.
- 39:59Speaker 2: The administration agreed to release him if the NYPD would
- 40:04Speaker 2: take him into custody. Remember, this guy's a criminal. He's
- 40:07Speaker 2: a career criminal. Shouldn't have been on the street anyway.
- 40:10Speaker 2: He's an illegal here illegally. And according to the ICE agents,
- 40:13Speaker 2: we're waiting for the body cam footage to absolutely confirm it.
- 40:16Speaker 2: But according to ICE agents, He tried to kill them.
- 40:18Speaker 2: He tried to run them over, ram them with his car.
- 40:22Speaker 2: So that's a guy who has to be arrested, locked up,
- 40:25Speaker 2: and really should be deported. But that was the sticking point.
- 40:31Speaker 2: They agreed to release him to the NYPD if the
- 40:35Speaker 2: NYPD held him into custody. Now, here's the key to
- 40:39Speaker 2: all this. This is the big takeaway. The problem was Mamdani...
- 40:44Speaker 2: said no. Mamdani refused. Mamdani said he wanted him released
- 40:49Speaker 2: back into the streets. That's what Mamdani was fighting for.
- 40:54Speaker 2: And ICE said they can't let this guy back into
- 40:57Speaker 2: the streets. He's a career criminal. He's dangerous. He just
- 41:00Speaker 2: tried to run over cops. He's got a criminal rap sheet.
- 41:05Speaker 2: He's gang affiliated. No, they were not going to release
- 41:07Speaker 2: him back in the streets. But that's what Mamdani was
- 41:10Speaker 2: fighting for, to have this guy released into the streets. Now, Mamdani,
- 41:15Speaker 2: of course, grandstanding for the cameras. His anger looked real
- 41:18Speaker 2: because I think this is what really eats away at him.
- 41:21Speaker 2: This gets him right in the heart. He's like what
- 41:24Speaker 2: they used to call a bleeding heart liberal. He loves
- 41:26Speaker 2: these criminals. He loves these illegals. He loves these guys, criminals.
- 41:32Speaker 2: It's like this Alvin Bragg. Don't put him in jail.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Release him. And this is the hatred he has for ICE.
- 41:38Speaker 2: They're coming into New York and taking are criminals away
- 41:41Speaker 2: from us.
- 41:42Speaker 3: New York City will not stand by while ICE agents
- 41:45Speaker 3: shoot New Yorkers. And we will not back down from
- 41:49Speaker 3: the demand that so many, including myself, have put forward
- 41:52Speaker 3: time and again.
- 41:54Speaker 4: This is an agency that must be abolished.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Now, there's nothing you can do about this. You could have,
- 42:00Speaker 2: Mamdani could sit right there, and for hours we could
- 42:04Speaker 2: try to explain to him they're not shooting New Yorkers.
- 42:06Speaker 2: They're going after criminals, actual criminals, gang affiliated with criminal
- 42:12Speaker 2: records that are here illegally. They violated all kinds of
- 42:16Speaker 2: laws just being here. And since they got here, they're
- 42:19Speaker 2: violating more of our laws. You could explain this. You
- 42:22Speaker 2: could have a million people try to talk. There's nothing
- 42:25Speaker 2: you can do. You will never budge this guy one
- 42:27Speaker 2: inch on that. There's nothing you can, that's why I
- 42:29Speaker 2: always tell you, don't argue with these people. There's nothing
- 42:32Speaker 2: you can tell them. Nothing is going to change their mind.
- 42:35Speaker 2: It's not a thing about logic or, you know, anything
- 42:39Speaker 2: like that. There's nothing you can explain to them. It's
- 42:41Speaker 2: in the heart. It's what they used to call the
- 42:44Speaker 2: bleeding heart. There's nothing you can say. But we're waiting
- 42:48Speaker 2: for that body cam footage. Hopefully, Secretary Mullen has confirmed
- 42:52Speaker 2: there is body cam footage of all this. If they
- 42:56Speaker 2: never release it, well, that's a little suspicious. But let's
- 42:59Speaker 2: see if we get it later today. Now, remember, it's
- 43:03Speaker 2: also an election, so they're going to use this. It's
- 43:06Speaker 2: not just their normal grandstandings. but this is election grandstanding
- 43:11Speaker 2: as well. Now, the Wall Street Journal, I don't know
- 43:15Speaker 2: what happened or when it happened exactly. The Wall Street
- 43:18Speaker 2: Journal used to be an actual newspaper. It used to
- 43:21Speaker 2: be a prestigious sort of a newspaper. It then just
- 43:25Speaker 2: turned into, I hate to say, a rag. Basically, it's
- 43:32Speaker 2: just gotten worse and worse and worse. You can't count
- 43:34Speaker 2: on it for anything anymore. about four or five months ago, some, uh,
- 43:39Speaker 2: it was an interview with Scott Besant where he brought
- 43:41Speaker 2: this up, the treasury secretary. He said, it's no longer
- 43:45Speaker 2: a newspaper. It's like a little features magazine. They should
- 43:48Speaker 2: call it the main street journal. It's not a, it's
- 43:51Speaker 2: not a legitimate news source anymore. He really went after them. So, uh,
- 43:55Speaker 2: in the past week, they've gone after him publishing this
- 43:58Speaker 2: story about how violent his temper, his temper is. And
- 44:02Speaker 2: he's throwing these temper tantrums and he threw, uh, a
- 44:07Speaker 2: ketchup bottle against the wall. Well, everybody in the room,
- 44:11Speaker 2: everybody that works with him said this never happened. This
- 44:13Speaker 2: is the wall street journal. And once again, he said,
- 44:16Speaker 2: you know, they're not a newspaper anymore. They're not a
- 44:19Speaker 2: news source anymore. You can't count on them for anything.
- 44:21Speaker 2: So the, uh, story yesterday that broke about Kimberly Guilfoyle,
- 44:27Speaker 2: she was engaged to Don jr. Remember before that TV star,
- 44:31Speaker 2: she was one of the five on the five. She
- 44:33Speaker 2: was at Fox. Uh, but at some point, uh, They
- 44:37Speaker 2: got rid of her. And then the Don Jr. engagement,
- 44:41Speaker 2: that ended and, you know, it's awkward. So the president
- 44:47Speaker 2: appoints her to ambassador to Greece. You know, if your
- 44:50Speaker 2: son breaks up with this woman, what are you going
- 44:52Speaker 2: to do? It's a little awkward. Well, you send her
- 44:54Speaker 2: 4,000 miles away.
- 44:55Speaker 14: Perfect.
- 44:57Speaker 2: The story comes out that she was getting donors to
- 45:01Speaker 2: pay her bills, that she got into some credit card debt.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Owed 100,000 American Express. Now, the donor has come forward
- 45:10Speaker 2: and backed this up. It was the Wall Street Journal
- 45:13Speaker 2: that released the story. So that was the problem. It
- 45:15Speaker 2: may be true, but the Wall Street Journal is no
- 45:18Speaker 2: longer credible and nobody takes them seriously anymore. So they
- 45:22Speaker 2: asked Rubio about it. they caught him on the runway.
- 45:26Speaker 2: They asked him about, you know, he's the Secretary of State.
- 45:28Speaker 2: He's in charge of these ambassadors. What are you going
- 45:29Speaker 2: to do about it?
- 45:30Speaker 6: This is not the forum where we're going to address that.
- 45:32Speaker 6: It's as simple as that.
- 45:33Speaker 11: Suffice it to say, our ambassador is doing a great job.
- 45:36Speaker 6: Our ambassador has been a strong ambassador here.
- 45:38Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 2: So somebody cut out the best part of the clip,
- 45:41Speaker 2: which is then he said, I'm not going to take
- 45:43Speaker 2: you seriously. He's talking to the Wall Street Journal. Just
- 45:46Speaker 2: you say you have the source. I don't take you seriously.
- 45:48Speaker 2: It doesn't work this way. Let me know when you
- 45:50Speaker 2: get some actual evidence. Well, Problem is, the donor has
- 45:54Speaker 2: come forward and spoken on camera saying it's true. She
- 45:57Speaker 2: wanted him to pay her credit card bill, $ 100, 000 to
- 46:00Speaker 2: American Express. And that she kept telling him, you know,
- 46:04Speaker 2: he said, I can't. She said, well, you wire it
- 46:06Speaker 2: right to American Express. That way there's no paper trail
- 46:09Speaker 2: connecting you and me. And he said, now this is interesting.
- 46:14Speaker 2: He said, I can't do it. My wife will kill me.
- 46:17Speaker 2: My wife will go. What does that imply? That she's
- 46:19Speaker 2: worried there's something romantic between him and Kimberly? I don't
- 46:23Speaker 2: know what it means. Or his wife might just be,
- 46:27Speaker 2: maybe it means she's going to get mad that I'm
- 46:29Speaker 2: wasting $ 100, 000 on you. But he didn't do it. But
- 46:33Speaker 2: this is what the Wall Street Journal is claiming. And
- 46:35Speaker 2: it may be true, but nobody trusts the Wall Street
- 46:38Speaker 2: Journal anymore. But the donor has spoken publicly. Now, there's
- 46:43Speaker 2: all kinds of people calling for heard a step down,
- 46:47Speaker 2: that this is a terrible, illegal, I don't think it's
- 46:50Speaker 2: actually illegal. And the ambassador, it's not really, ambassador doesn't
- 46:58Speaker 2: really do much of anything. You sit in the embassy. Now, remember,
- 47:02Speaker 2: if it's a serious problem kind of a place, like
- 47:06Speaker 2: in the Middle East or some really troubled war zone
- 47:08Speaker 2: kind of, anything serious, they send a real ambassador, a
- 47:12Speaker 2: real professional, career public service. Those are the ambassadors in
- 47:17Speaker 2: those countries. But when it's just a fun kind of place,
- 47:21Speaker 2: it's usually a big, huge donor who gave a lot
- 47:23Speaker 2: of money. If you gave a ton of money, you'll
- 47:27Speaker 2: become the ambassador to France. If you gave the most money,
- 47:30Speaker 2: you can be England. You can be the ambassador to
- 47:32Speaker 2: the court of St. James. Give a ton of money,
- 47:35Speaker 2: you're the ambassador to Spain. You'll get the fun European countries.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Or if the president needs to do a favor for somebody,
- 47:42Speaker 2: you're the ambassador to Greece. That's how she did that. Now,
- 47:46Speaker 2: The problem with becoming the ambassador, you don't do much
- 47:49Speaker 2: of anything except throw parties. And people don't know this,
- 47:53Speaker 2: but when you're one of those ambassadors in France or England,
- 47:57Speaker 2: you have to pay for the parties yourself. You have
- 48:02Speaker 2: to fix up the embassy yourself, your quarters. You have
- 48:05Speaker 2: to furnish it. So there's some people that turn down
- 48:08Speaker 2: the ambassadorship because it's going to cost them a couple
- 48:11Speaker 2: million between now redoing the embassy and throwing the party.
- 48:14Speaker 2: So a lot of people don't want to spend the money.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And there are plenty of people that are ambassadors all
- 48:19Speaker 2: over the place to these fun countries that are not
- 48:22Speaker 2: in any way qualified. Remember Caroline Kennedy, they owed her something.
- 48:25Speaker 2: She was ambassador to Japan. There's nobody that knows less
- 48:29Speaker 2: about Japan or has any talent as an ambassador than her.
- 48:33Speaker 2: There are people that, I don't want to mention names.
- 48:38Speaker 2: I don't want to say what administration it was. But
- 48:42Speaker 2: can I say which one? No, I can't say because
- 48:45Speaker 2: it will identify the person. The guy gave so much money.
- 48:50Speaker 2: He was in the construction business or real estate. He
- 48:52Speaker 2: gave so much money that he was going to be
- 48:55Speaker 2: an ambassador. That's how much money he gave. But he
- 48:58Speaker 2: had somebody go to the president-elect and say, he said,
- 49:03Speaker 2: you better give him something important. He doesn't want some
- 49:05Speaker 2: stupid country, some little island somewhere. You better give him
- 49:08Speaker 2: a really important ambassadorship. So the president said, okay, you
- 49:14Speaker 2: tell him we'll make him the ambassador to NATO.
- 49:18Speaker 8: Wow.
- 49:18Speaker 2: So he went back and he told the guy. you're
- 49:20Speaker 2: going to be ambassador to NATO. And the guy said,
- 49:24Speaker 2: what the hell is that? He goes, what's NATO? I
- 49:26Speaker 2: never heard of that. And he said, it's the North
- 49:29Speaker 2: Atlantic Treaty Organization. That guy said, I don't know what
- 49:32Speaker 2: that is. Where is it? And he said, Brussels. And
- 49:35Speaker 2: he said, where the hell's Brussels? And he said, Belgium. Belgium.
- 49:39Speaker 2: And the guy said, I thought you were going to
- 49:40Speaker 2: get me something good. Brussels, Belgium, NATO. I've never heard
- 49:43Speaker 2: of this. That's how ignorant the guy was. That's who
- 49:49Speaker 2: gets made ambassadors a lot of times. It's just a
- 49:51Speaker 2: dumb donor who gets it very often. So don't take
- 49:55Speaker 2: them that seriously. But again, if it's a serious place,
- 49:59Speaker 2: you know, Middle Eastern trouble spot, they always send a
- 50:02Speaker 2: real professional to be the ambassador. So, hey, Joe Rogan
- 50:06Speaker 2: re-signed with Spotify. Wow, it's been that long. Yeah, it's
- 50:11Speaker 2: been almost six years. So the deal is up. Remember
- 50:15Speaker 2: the original contract? Rogan, Spotify, popular podcast. It was a
- 50:22Speaker 2: $ 250 million contract. He was getting like $ 50 million a
- 50:26Speaker 2: year for his podcast. It's got 18 million followers on Spotify,
- 50:30Speaker 2: 21 million on YouTube. So Rogan renewed its expected thought
- 50:38Speaker 2: that it's at least the same amount, probably a little
- 50:40Speaker 2: bit of a raise. So I figure it's $ 300 million
- 50:43Speaker 2: for the next five years. Good for him. David Ellison,
- 50:48Speaker 2: Skydance chairman, says, don't worry, CNN, the boss will stay.
- 50:52Speaker 2: We're not going to tamper. We're looking for stability. CNN's
- 50:57Speaker 2: in last place. It's got nobody watching. It's got the
- 50:59Speaker 2: worst ratings in the world, last place. Let's keep that stable.
- 51:03Speaker 2: We want some stability. Actually, what people think is really
- 51:07Speaker 2: going on, CNN is a disaster ratings-wise, financially. What's really
- 51:12Speaker 2: going on is they're going to do layoffs. There's going
- 51:14Speaker 2: to be tons of layoffs, not just CNN, but all
- 51:16Speaker 2: through the– you know, when you buy a big thing
- 51:18Speaker 2: like that, you've got to do layoffs because some of
- 51:21Speaker 2: it's a mess. CNN is a total mess. So instead
- 51:24Speaker 2: of tampering with the editorial, interfering, they'll just lay off everybody.
- 51:30Speaker 2: They'll do it that way. There's going to be a
- 51:32Speaker 2: lot of layoffs over there. Also, they'll cheapen things. You know,
- 51:35Speaker 2: remember MSNBC? It was at NBC, Rockefeller Center. NBC, the
- 51:41Speaker 2: studio was like 10 miles long. It was unbelievable. Well,
- 51:45Speaker 2: NBC threw it out. There's no MSNBC anymore. They threw
- 51:48Speaker 2: them the hell out of the company and out of
- 51:50Speaker 2: the building. Now they're in a little studio in Times Square.
- 51:53Speaker 2: It doesn't look quite the same, and they don't have
- 51:57Speaker 2: the resources. They can't cut to correspondents all over the world.
- 52:01Speaker 2: So they'll do that to CNN. They'll trim it down,
- 52:04Speaker 2: cut costs, lay off a lot of people. Hey, we'll
- 52:07Speaker 2: take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. Give us
- 52:12Speaker 2: a call, especially if you're a new caller. 800-321-0710.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Give WOR a preset on the iHeartRadio app to hear
- 52:22Speaker 1: Mark Simone and all the WOR hosts in an instant.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WOR.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Well, hey, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Let's go to Jacqueline in Brooklyn. Jacqueline, how are you doing?
- 52:49Speaker 20: Good morning, Mark.
- 52:50Speaker 17: I'm doing fine, and I hope you're doing well also.
- 52:53Speaker 17: You were talking earlier in the show about how these
- 52:57Speaker 17: fake polls work and the demographics that they specifically target.
- 53:02Speaker 17: And you had a lady that called in yesterday. She
- 53:04Speaker 17: was an older lady, like myself, and she said that
- 53:08Speaker 17: she's never been polled.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Okay, but that doesn't matter. They're not supposed to poll you.
- 53:14Speaker 2: You're supposed to find somebody like you that they poll.
- 53:17Speaker 17: Yeah, but what they've done, they've gotten away from the
- 53:20Speaker 17: traditional telephone call polling. And in order to get their
- 53:25Speaker 17: demographic target group, they're going after people online. I have
- 53:29Speaker 17: been watching movies online. And as of last year's mayoral election,
- 53:34Speaker 17: I can't tell you how I was bombarded every 10,
- 53:38Speaker 17: 15 minutes with these ads from Omdani. And that's the
- 53:44Speaker 17: group that they're going after.
- 53:46Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. This doesn't work that way.
- 53:48Speaker 2: What the polling companies do, they do everything. They do
- 53:50Speaker 2: cell phones. They do online. They even do some landlines.
- 53:54Speaker 2: They do every type of stuff. The way they rig it,
- 53:58Speaker 2: I hate to keep explaining this over and over and
- 54:01Speaker 2: over again, but there's two kinds of polls. There's the
- 54:03Speaker 2: real polls. Those cost a fortune. That's what the candidates use.
- 54:07Speaker 2: There's the public polls, which are very cheap. They're about three,
- 54:10Speaker 2: four thousand a poll. And they use every method of
- 54:14Speaker 2: reaching people, but they deliberately reach the wrong people. You're
- 54:19Speaker 2: supposed to use likely voters. They don't do that. They
- 54:23Speaker 2: use sometimes registered voters, which means anybody. But most of
- 54:27Speaker 2: the time, it'll just say adults, which means whoever they want.
- 54:30Speaker 2: They could go in the faculty lounge at Columbia and
- 54:33Speaker 2: do it there. That's one way they rig it. In
- 54:37Speaker 2: their defense, they can't afford to do likely voters. It
- 54:40Speaker 2: costs a lot of money to pinpoint the likely voters.
- 54:44Speaker 2: So that's one reason that real polls are very expensive.
- 54:49Speaker 2: So they don't use the right group. They use adults
- 54:51Speaker 2: instead of likely voters. They deliberately... make Republicans way too
- 54:57Speaker 2: low in the sample. They usually put them about 23%, 24%.
- 54:59Speaker 2: They should be 38%. So they undersample Republicans. Right there,
- 55:05Speaker 2: that's like a seven, eight-point bias right there. And then
- 55:10Speaker 2: they use the wrong demographics deliberately. Like they'll just use
- 55:14Speaker 2: people in their 20s or something like that. So that's
- 55:18Speaker 2: the way they do it. And they do it deliberately.
- 55:20Speaker 2: It's to suppress turnout. And there have been a few
- 55:23Speaker 2: studies of all these polls. and then they'll find that
- 55:27Speaker 2: they were wrong and that 97% of the time they
- 55:30Speaker 2: were wrong. It was in favor of Democrats they were wrong. So,
- 55:34Speaker 2: I mean, they're very, very slanted. But again, they cost $ 3, 000,
- 55:37Speaker 2: $ 4, 000 a poll. The real polls that are deadly accurate,
- 55:41Speaker 2: campaigns use them. Those can cost a million dollars a month.
- 55:45Speaker 2: And they're not public, although we have John McLaughlin, probably
- 55:49Speaker 2: the best of all of them. We have him on,
- 55:51Speaker 2: and sometimes he'll tell us what's going on in them.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Let's go to Brian in Long Island. Brian, how you doing?
- 55:57Speaker 15: Hey, Mark. How are you?
- 56:00Speaker 12: Um.
- 56:01Speaker 14: i'm talking about the uh... ice shooting yesterday i was
- 56:03Speaker 14: listening to the top of the hour news and the
- 56:06Speaker 14: girl says the mayor wants ice out of the city
- 56:09Speaker 14: because they shot a man but it's just classic fake
- 56:12Speaker 14: news if you don't if you don't know any better
- 56:14Speaker 14: you think it was just a guy she leaves out
- 56:16Speaker 14: of the report that the guy's a criminal alien he's
- 56:19Speaker 14: a gang member he's got a extensive rap sheet he
- 56:22Speaker 14: tried to run them down with the car Let me.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Just clear up some of this. We don't know that
- 56:28Speaker 2: he's a gang member. They're saying he's gang affiliated. We
- 56:32Speaker 2: don't quite know what that means. It's not an extensive
- 56:35Speaker 2: rap sheet. He's got a few things on that rap sheet.
- 56:37Speaker 2: But he is a criminal. And if this is all true,
- 56:41Speaker 2: they haven't released the body cam footage yet. They've confirmed
- 56:44Speaker 2: it exists. But if it is true what they're saying,
- 56:47Speaker 2: that he tried to run them over, they are totally
- 56:49Speaker 2: justified in shooting him. Let's go to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy,
- 56:54Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 56:56Speaker 17: Morning, Mark.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Yes, Kathy. Where are you going? I hear a car noise.
- 57:01Speaker 17: I know.
- 57:02Speaker 18: I'm driving.
- 57:02Speaker 21: I want to do a quickie with you.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Oh, I'll be right there.
- 57:06Speaker 14: Okay, thanks.
- 57:07Speaker 17: How you doing?
- 57:08Speaker 18: Okay, look, you guys covered that story a couple of
- 57:11Speaker 18: days ago about Social Security.
- 57:13Speaker 14: You know, Trump was going to send out, you know,
- 57:15Speaker 14: payments to everybody, and I kind of blew it off.
- 57:18Speaker 14: And I'm like, sure.
- 57:19Speaker 8: Guess what?
- 57:20Speaker 17: I got it.
- 57:21Speaker 22: And it really helped this week.
- 57:23Speaker 14: I'm just so laughing about the whole thing.
- 57:25Speaker 2: How much is it?
- 57:27Speaker 16: I mean, it's $ 100.
- 57:28Speaker 14: Oh, okay.
- 57:28Speaker 11: Okay.
- 57:31Speaker 2: And it was that extra money left over.
- 57:35Speaker 21: I don't know if Doge.
- 57:36Speaker 11: Found it, which would really be the feather in my cap.
- 57:38Speaker 17: But I just I really.
- 57:41Speaker 4: Profoundly want to say it was.
- 57:43Speaker 22: Like it was like a little gift.
- 57:45Speaker 17: It was great.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Well, it's good to hear. Good to hear. President keeping
- 57:48Speaker 2: his word on giving money back to voters. Let's go
- 57:51Speaker 2: to Stan in Astoria. Stan, how are you doing? Hi, Mark.
- 57:56Speaker 22: Mark, I was wondering, who do you feel more sorry for,
- 57:58Speaker 22: Gayle King having to work with Nora O'Donnell or Nora
- 58:02Speaker 22: O'Donnell having to work with Gayle King?
- 58:03Speaker 2: Oh, that's a no-brainer. Nora O'Donnell, obviously. They're both kind
- 58:07Speaker 2: of useless. In real life, Nora O'Donnell is a very
- 58:10Speaker 2: nice woman, very nice person. Gayle King is the most
- 58:13Speaker 2: awful vulture in real life. You don't want to be
- 58:16Speaker 2: anywhere near Gayle King.
- 58:19Speaker 22: Mark, as long as you've been following the morning news shows,
- 58:23Speaker 22: have you ever known CBS News, the morning show that
- 58:26Speaker 22: they have, ever to be out of third place, out
- 58:28Speaker 22: of a three-team race?
- 58:30Speaker 2: No, never.
- 58:31Speaker 8: Never.
- 58:32Speaker 2: It's always in last place. It's always going to be
- 58:34Speaker 2: in last place. It's a total disaster. It was a
- 58:37Speaker 2: good question, Stan. Thanks for calling. They should get rid
- 58:39Speaker 2: of it. You know, after 40 years of last place, CBS,
- 58:44Speaker 2: stop doing a morning show. You've got plenty of morning shows.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Do something else. bring back Captain Kangaroo. That was more successful.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Anybody remember Captain Kangaroo? If this were 50 years ago,
- 58:57Speaker 2: you'd be watching Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Green Jeans, Bunny Rabbit,
- 59:03Speaker 2: and the Grandfather Clock. Remember that? Anyway, hey, when we
- 59:08Speaker 2: come back, the dean himself, the greatest political consultant, campaign
- 59:14Speaker 2: manager of all, Ed Rollins. We'll talk to him next.
- 59:18Speaker 2: On 710WOR. The Mark Simone Show.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Now nine till noon weekdays.
- 59:25Speaker 15: On 710WOR.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Well, hey, let's talk to the dean himself, Ed Rollins.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Nobody has run more campaigns, more successful campaigns. He's been
- 59:35Speaker 2: in a number of administrations, White Houses. Nobody knows this
- 59:39Speaker 2: stuff better. Ed Rollins, how you doing?
- 59:41Speaker 6: Doing pretty well. How are you doing?
- 59:44Speaker 2: I'm good. How are the Republicans doing midterm-wise this year?
- 59:47Speaker 2: Looking better, isn't it?
- 59:50Speaker 7: No? Mark, I don't know where you drink.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Whatever you're drinking.
- 59:59Speaker 2: But isn't it good to be a little behind right
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: now with momentum and surging? Registration looks good. What do
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: you think?
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: Well, we've got to make sure the voters turn out.
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: And that's what the president's efforts are out there trying
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: to do at this point in time. And obviously, we
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: won't know until Election Day. people are actually voting in
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: absentee ballots already. It's a lot of little things that
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: keep happening, like Ambassador Guilford asking someone for $ 100, 000 to
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: pay off her American Express. You know, it becomes a
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: big story, and that's a story people understand and don't
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: think of it positively in the sense of, sure, I'd
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: like to have someone.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: Give me $ 25, 000, $ 60, 000 to pay off my bills, and she's.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: Our ambassador to Greece, and she was engaged to her son,
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: Those things become the story, and it's hard for the
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: president to drive what he wants to drive. What he
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: should be doing is he should be out there saying,
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: I need a Republican Congress to finish the job.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: Here are the four or five things I want to do.
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: In the last two years of this term.
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: I can't do it if the Democrats are in control
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: and they'll roll back everything we have. That's got to
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: be the message for the last two weeks here.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: And they put a congressman on the other side, and
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: you're saying, I need to go back and help the president.
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: None of that's occurring.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Hey, when he does these rallies, he's really great. These
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: rallies are really something. But, you know, he'll talk for
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: two and a half hours. Would it be more effective
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: if he had a nice, tight message and he spoke
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: for like 20 minutes?
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: Of course it would. It would be much better if
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: he wasn't doing rallies.
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: It would be much better if he's going around these
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: different places with the congressional seats and the Senate race
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: and do local TV or local radio. He'll get as
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: much play. He makes news wherever he goes. and he
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: can stay on script for five or ten minutes and
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: drive his message, and.
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: He can do everything.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: But he gets in front of these audiences, 6,000, 7,000,
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: whatever they may be, and it becomes about his rally
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: and what he wants credit for.
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: And the reality is, at this point in time, it's
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: really how do you.
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: Help the congressmen and the senators who are in trouble
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: and follow your lead?
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: So that's just my advice, man.
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: And I don't see any– there's no polling that's showing
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: anything's positive coming back. There's nothing but negativity out there
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: and all the ads. And so we're down to, you know,
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: who gets the road up. Democrats right now are more
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: intense than our side is, but it's still possible.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: All right. Now, Ed Rollins, you've run a lot of campaigns,
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: a lot of rallies, a lot of presidents, worked with
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Reagan and even Ross Perot is another billionaire. whatever they're
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: doing wrong. Is there ever a moment where you can
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: sit them down and say, listen, you're doing it wrong.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Here's what you need to do. Is this, is that
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: ever possible with these guys?
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: No, no, absolutely. Absolutely not. Uh, Reagan was a tremendous candidate.
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: Reagan was a performer and he was a good president
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: and he knew, he knew his audience and he could basically,
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: and he listened and he said to me when I
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: was running his presidential campaign, he said, uh, you're my director.
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: Tell me what to do. I'll basically try and perform it.
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: And if I don't like what you're telling me, I'll,
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: I'll not do it, but, uh, we'll talk about it.
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: Uh, most candidates, especially when they get in the heat
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: of the last closing weeks of the campaign, uh, think
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: they know what the audience wants and they're trying to
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: drive it. Trump basically is combined by, he feels he's
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: being treated so unfairly by the media that he goes
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: out and he beats up the media that has to
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: cover his message. Uh, and so at the end of
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: the day here, uh, He's got to get his votes back.
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: Right now, 25% of his voters who voted for him
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: two years ago aren't there. They're not necessarily voting for Democrats,
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: but they're not enthusiastic and they're not giving him a brewery.
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: So he's got to basically reinforce that base. He's got
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: to basically energize Republicans to turn out and vote. And
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: that's a tough challenge. Yeah.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: So last night, Michigan, there was a debate, Rogers, El-Sayed.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Rogers was pretty good. El-Sayed was pretty crazy. It's like
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: neck and neck. What do you think will happen in Michigan?
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: That's going to be the last race probably decided and
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: probably the one that decides whether we get the Senate
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: or not. Right now, it's the last couple of polls,
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: two or three points differential, which means anyone can win.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: And I think it's a question, again, is who has
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: the money, who has the resources, who gets their vote out?
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: And I think to a.
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: Certain extent, Roger still has a shot at it, but
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: I would not say at this point in time he
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: would be viewed as a favorite, other than the fact
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: that the candidate who he's running against is someone who
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: obviously is very objectionable in his view.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Hey, one thing about these Trump rallies, look at 10,000,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: 20,000 people show up. They make everybody fill out this thing,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: and they make everybody get registered. Doesn't that help? That's
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: kind of the ground game there, isn't it?
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: Well, one of the problems with, you know, I was
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: a White House political director and ran these stuff. Once
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: you have to decide in the closing weeks of a campaign,
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: do you want the White House to basically come in
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: and get a big crowd for the press, which obviously you.
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: Do, and take volunteers away from the campaign in order
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: to do that? There's not an unlimited number of volunteers.
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: Republican activists basically should be out at this point in
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: time doing everything they can to get the vote out
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: for the candidates and not basically running around worrying about
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: how many people are there for the press.
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: So that's why I.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: Say he'd be better off not going into all these places.
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: It takes a lot of time and attention to build
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: a crowd of 6,500 or 10,000 or 15,000.
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: It's not quite the enthusiasm it once was. So those
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: are decisions that need to be made.
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: And obviously, the Congressional Committee and the Senate Committee have
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: to decide where they want to spend their money, where
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: their priority is, and the President has to start spending
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: his money more plentiful.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Ed Rons, is this another problem? The rally might
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: not be the best thing, but the President, you probably
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: went through this with some of them, They want to
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: do the rally because they want to get the hell
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: out of the White House. They want to go somewhere
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: and speak.
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: No, listen, this is where the president has fun.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: He wants to go out there and beat the press up.
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: He wants to beat up the Democrats.
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: He wants to basically get attention for things that he
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: thinks he's done that are sustainable. Now, whether the public
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: thinks that at the same time, the public is talking
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: about affordability and what have you.
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: He's not out talking about those issues.
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: He's talking about the issues that matter to him, and
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: they may not be the same issues mattering to the voters.
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Hey, but one of the things I don't think Democrats understand,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: you go into the heartland of America, real working people
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: working day and night, they don't care about the ballroom.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: They don't care about an arch. Even Kimberly Guilford, it's
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: not an issue for them, is it?
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: Well, it's not an issue today, and that's why you
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: shouldn't be talking about it.
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: You should be talking about gas prices and food prices
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: and things that aren't working. You go to Nebraska and
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: you talk about the farm situation. The farm chaos. I
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: never thought I'd see the day in my lifetime, and
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: I've been doing this for a long time, as you say,
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: where we have to worry about Kansas. We have to
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: worry about Texas. We have to worry about Iowa. Those
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: are our states. Those are places we should.
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: Win easily, not even have to go there.
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: But we've got to fight for all these things at
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: this point in time. That's what scares me.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: That's what scares me. So if you could turn the
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: clock back, go back to January. and talk to the president,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: what would you tell him to do to prepare himself
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: for the midterms that he hasn't done?
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: I would tell him that he has to basically get
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: a new roadmap. Obviously, first of all, get out of
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: the war, uh, and which was keep gas prices down
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: and basically listen, listen to the polls, listen to the public. Uh,
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: you've got good pollsters yourself who knows what's going on
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: and listen to what they're telling you. People want to hear,
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: you know, you go out and you talk to an
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: audience that doesn't want to hear your message. Uh, then
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: you're not going to do very well. Now, the 6,000,
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: 10,000 people that are in front of him in a
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: rally are his most diehard supporters, and they may very
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: well want to hear the message of the greatest president ever.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: But the independent voters, and the big dilemma here is,
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: the plurality of voters in America are independent. We're getting
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: killed among independents. And the president basically did very well
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: among independents two years ago, who.
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: Now lost that vote. And that's the vote that's going
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: to take us down.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Well, except New York. You know, it turns out in
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: the latest polling, Bruce Blakeman is very strong with independence.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Is that going to be a big factor?
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: Same, same drill. If he gets the independent vote, he's
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: going to win. If he doesn't get the independent vote,
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: he's going to lose.
- 1:08:38Speaker 11: Wow.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Well, because it looks like right now he's got 60%
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: of independence. Pretty good.
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: He's got to maintain that and make sure they vote.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Ed Rollins, brilliant as always. Nobody knows this
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: stuff better. Ed Rollins, great talking to you. We'll do
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: it again soon.
- 1:08:52Speaker 14: Thank you. All right.
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: Great.
- 1:08:54Speaker 18: Thanks.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Thanks. Take care. Speaking of Bruce Blakeman, he'll be with
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: us later in the show. We'll talk to him. him
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: in the next hour, and I think he's going to
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: campaign later today with President Trump. I think they're both
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: headed to Syracuse. Well, we'll get the answer when we
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: talk to him coming up. Don't forget, at noon, it's
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Buck Saxton and Clay Travis with a great show every
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: day at 12. Then at 3 o'clock, you've got the
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: most listened to Radio show in America, Sean Hannity. Jesse
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Kelly at 6. You got the very funny Jimmy Fallon
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: every night, 9 o'clock. It's all here on 710WOR.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios, the Mark Simone Show.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: Well, hey, Sunday night. Were you a big 30 Rock fan?
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: They're having the 30 Rock reunion, Radio City. It's Sunday night.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: and apparently they've lowered the ticket prices. Ticket prices just
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: dropped 30%. Apparently they're not selling this out. It's a
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: lot of seats. It's 6,000 seats at Radio City. They
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: say everybody will be there, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan,
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: and the rest of the cast, confirmed to appear. This
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the pilot of 30 Rock,
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: 20th anniversary. Now, it's one night only. It's Sunday night,
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Radio City, They say it will not be televised. This
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: is not where you, you know, they're doing this for
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: a TV special. This will not be televised, but there's
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: some tickets left. 30% off Radio City Sunday night. Now,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: these bad polls, the network's apparently promoting the hell out
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: of these bad polls. I'm explaining to you the fake
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: public polls. Why are they doing it? Well, they're trying
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: to suppress GOP turnout ahead of the midterms. You run
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: these polls. And it discourages Republicans from even bothering to vote.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: That's the reason they do that. Now, you can always
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: tell who's in trouble by how many attack ads they run.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: You'll notice Kathy Hochul is suddenly spending millions on nonstop
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: attack ads on Blakeman. That's because he's doing very well.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: She wouldn't panic and do that if she didn't need to.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: He'll be with us in the next hour, so we'll
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: ask him about that. There's a debate. Hochul Blakeman debates
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: coming up Tuesday night. Well, we'll get to that. We'll
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: get to that in the next hour. Lots to talk
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: to him about. It's going to be a beautiful Friday, sunny,
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: 70 degrees, kind of the same tomorrow, rain on Sunday.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: We've got another hour to go, so stay right there.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Mark Simone with one more hour to go, 9 to
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: noon every day, here on 710WOR. And now, Mark Simone
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: on 710WOR. Thank you, Shadow Stevens. Well, we got a
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: lot to get to. We'll talk with Bruce Flakeman about
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: the governor's race and the debate coming up on Tuesday.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: We'll take a look at a lot of stuff. Now,
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: this ICE shooting, let's just clear up a lot of
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: stuff here. ICE is in New York last night, yesterday.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: And here's the problem. The Department of Homeland Security has
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: asked local police everywhere to cooperate with ICE. If ICE
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: has to come in and arrest people, It's the position
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: of the Trump administration. They would prefer that the illegals
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: just be turned over to ICE peacefully. For instance, in
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: New York City jails, we have 15,000 illegals who are
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: also criminals. That's why they're in jail. They've committed crimes
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: and they're here illegally. ICE has asked that New York
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: City turn them over, peacefully turn over these prisoners to ICE.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: So they could be deported. If you're here illegally, you
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: should be deported. If you're here illegally and you're a criminal,
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: of course you should be deported. And that's the Trump
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: administration policy when it comes to deportation. They want to
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: first and foremost just go after criminals, illegal criminals committing crimes, rape, robbery,
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: gang members, that sort of stuff that are here illegally,
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: deport them. And they've been doing that. They've done 500,000 already,
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: 500,000 of them. These criminals have been deported. That's one
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: reason the crime numbers keep coming down all over America.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: All these different cities, crime has dropped. That's why, because
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: they're taking these illegal who are committing crimes. Just here
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: in New York, they've gotten a couple thousand criminals out
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: of here. Now, they've arrested 500,000 of these criminals off
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: the streets. 500,000 out of these 500,000. There have been
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: about three of these incidents where they had to shoot somebody.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Three out of 500,000. It's a pretty good record. So
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: what happened with this guy yesterday, he's an illegal. He's
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: gang affiliated. He's got some crimes. He's got a rap sheet.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: But it's New York. So even though he confessed that
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: he was guilty on the last robbery, they gave him probation.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: They didn't put him in jail. They let him run
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: around the streets. So he's got a kid in the car.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: It's believed it's his child, a five-year-old. Here's what we know.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Forget all the yelling and screaming and grandstanding. This is
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: what we know. We have surveillance cameras all over the
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: streets of New York. You can see on the surveillance
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: camera that this guy's driving with the kid in his car,
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: and he sees a parking space. And he backs up,
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: trying to pull into this parking space. And as he's
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: pulling in, ICE agents approach the car. One on the
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: driver's side, and then one comes from the passenger's side. Now,
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: this is a criminal with a rap sheet, and he's
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: a criminal who's been approached by ICE before. ICE has
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: tried to detain him before. So a lot of times
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: when you've got a real career criminal who's had run-ins
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: with the police, they don't want to get arrested again.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: He's also on probation, which would send him to prison.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: So he sees the ICE agents approach. They're undercover, but
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: he assumes they're cops. And this is what you can
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: see on the surveillance camera. As they approach his car,
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: as he's trying to pull into the space, he sees
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: them and he pulls out of the space, trying to
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: speed away from them. Well, unfortunately, that's where it goes
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: out of camera range and there isn't another surveillance camera
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: on the street. So that's what the police commissioner has confirmed.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: On the New York City cameras, you can see as
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: ICE agents approach, he pulls away. Now, what the Department
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: of Homeland Security is saying is And they say they
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: have body cameras that show this. They haven't released it yet,
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: but they say they will release it later. They want
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: the investigation to take place first. And then they said
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: they will release the body camera footage. So if they
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: release it and their story holds up with the body
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: cam footage, then that's it. Case closed. Shooting justified. What
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: they're saying is, as the guy tried to speed away
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: with his car, there were other ICE agents in cars.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: And they tried to box him in so he couldn't
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: get away. And then apparently he rammed his car into
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: these law enforcement cars. He rammed his car into theirs
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: and then tried to run over some police officers, some
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: ICE agents who were standing, not in cars, but standing
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: on the street. He tried to run them over. Well,
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: if this is the case, they're saying that's what happened.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: If the body cam footage backs it up, then that's it.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Justified shooting. Absolutely, thousand percent justified. So we're just waiting
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: to see that body cam footage. I would assume it's
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: all true because why would the Secretary of Homeland Security
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: say all this, release all this, if he couldn't back
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: it up? So we're just waiting for that body cam footage.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: And that's the end of the matter. Despite the grandstanding,
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: despite Mamdani.
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: New York City will not stand by while ICE agents
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: shoot New Yorkers.
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: And we will not back down.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: from the demand that so many, including myself, have put
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: forward time and again.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: This is an agency that must be abolished.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Okay, they're not shooting New Yorkers. No New Yorkers are
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: targets of ICE. They're going after illegals, who are not
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: supposed to be here, illegals, and only after illegals have
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: committed crimes and are gang-affiliated or have rap sheets. And now,
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: after this, Mamdani goes into a rage, grandstanding like crazy.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: He says he was on the phone... Listen to this.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: For the past two hours, I have been on the
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: phone with President Trump and Secretary Mullen negotiating the release
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: of the man ICE agents shot. Those negotiations were unsuccessful.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Okay, here's the real story. He was on the phone
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: with Mullen and the Department of Homeland Security for two hours. Yes,
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: the President talked to him, but that was five minutes
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: of the two hours. Now, here's the problem.
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: When.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: demanded the release of this guy, the Trump administration agreed
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: to release the guy. They said they would release him
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: to the NYPD, you know, as long as the NYPD
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: would hold the guy in custody. That's not what Mamdani
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: was asking for. Mamdani demanded the guy be released back
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: into the streets. Dangerous criminal. He wanted him released back
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: into the streets, which is obviously irrational Obviously, reckless, stupid. Now,
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: the ICE agents fired at the car. Apparently, they fired
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: seven shots. Only one went through the windshield. You can
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: see one bullet hole, and it hit this illegal in
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: the neck. He was taken to the hospital. Apparently, he
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: was not badly hurt, not too badly hurt, because they
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: released him. Hours later they released him. So that was
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: what Mamdani was demanding. He was demanding they let this
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: guy go, let him back into the streets. This criminal
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: with the rap sheet, this is typical Mamdani. Criminal, career criminal,
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: gang affiliations, let him roam the streets. That's what Mamdani
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: was fighting for. Now, One reason he might be grandstanding
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: like crazy, this is October 8th yesterday. October 7th, Mamdani
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: got himself into a lot of trouble. Mamdani crossed a
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: line on October 7th. He's openly anti-Semitic, very anti-Israel, but
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: to the point where it's obvious anti-Semitism. You know, if
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: you hate Israel, the country, for some reason, that's one thing.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: You lay out exactly what you don't want them to
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: do And you try to get them to stop doing something.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: If you want Israel gone, abolished, then you're anti-Semitic. You know,
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: they keep saying, I'm just anti-Israel. You can't separate the
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: two completely. Every ethnic group has a homeland, a country.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: The French have a country. It's called France. Germany has
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: a country. It's called Germany. The Brits have a country.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: It's called the UK, England. To say that one ethnic group,
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: the Jews, can't have a homeland... It's absolute anti-Semitism. Of
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: course they have to have a homeland. Of course they
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: should have a homeland. Of course they should have a country.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: So it's real anti-Semitism. But October 7th, he pretended to
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: be somewhat supportive of the Jews by going to this vigil,
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: this candlelight vigil for those killed on October 7th. But
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: then he published online the most disgusting, vile, anti-Semitic, stuff
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: against Jews, against Israel. It was just horrifying. And the
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: reason I say he crossed the line, there were people
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: that were defending him on his anti-Semitism. You know, even
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: political commentators. You know, Mark Halpern, who, this guy's all
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: over the map, but even he always defended Mamdani. He said,
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: you know, obviously he's not fond of Jews, but you're
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: throwing the anti-Semitism word around too much. He was defending.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: There were people like that. Well, after October 7th, they
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: all came out publicly and said, I was wrong. This
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: guy is an anti-Semite. So some of the people, even
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: some of the Democrats who were defending Mamdani after October
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: 7th and what he published said, to do this, to
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: publish this anytime is horrible. To do it on October
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: 7th is absolutely an outrage. So even a lot of
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: the people defending Mamdani turned on him. They said he
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: clearly is Deeply, deeply anti-Semitic. So he went too far. Now,
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: the problem is he was trying to play both sides
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: of the aisle, the Jews, the Jew haters, but he
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: ended up getting them all mad at him. Jews were
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: jeering him. and then his anti-semitic base well they were
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: mad at him too for going to the vigil so
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: clearly he crossed the line really crossed the line and
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: lost both sides so that's why when this ice shooting
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: happened I think he went crazy trying to grandstand off it. Hey,
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: now there's another problem here. Mamdani appointed all these crazies
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: into all these departments here. He's got a new transportation secretary.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: You know, they always get this war on cars. First,
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: they put in bike lanes. Then there's certain Bloomberg was
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: guilty of this, this war on cars. Made a pedestrian
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: plaza right in the middle of Times Square. No cars.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: Herald Square. It's just ridiculous. You look at the window here,
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: 6th Avenue.
- 1:22:50Speaker 15: Look at that.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: Used to be like a five-lane street. Now it's two
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: lanes of bike lanes. It's another bike lane. It's a
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: pedicab lane. It's an electric scooter lane. Maybe there's one
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: lane for cars. It's ridiculous. So they screwed up the streets.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: They're trying to stop, you know, make more. They want
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: to do more pedestrian plazas. But listen to this. Mondani's
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: transportation boss. They're really trying to win this war on cars.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: They're going to go after parking spaces. They're going to
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: go after parking. The Department of Transportation Commissioner Mike Flynn
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: told an audience that car owners are wealthy elitists and
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: we should go after them. He said car owning is
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: a burden for the lower income. He's going to target parking.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: He said it's a giveaway. So I guess they're going
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: to go after the parking spaces and make it impossible
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: to park. They'll do anything to get these cars to
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: go away. Now, If you park in a garage in
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: New York or you live in a building where you've
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: got a garage, they can try to go after the garages.
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: That's tough, though, because all these, the garage, like the
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: one over there, they rent it from the building. The
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: building is the landlord, not the city. But you'll see
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: the city. There are municipal lots. You'll see them probably
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: go after those. They're trying to do this. Now, how
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: many people own cars? Staten Island, 85% have cars. Queens, 63%
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: have cars. This is the majority in Queens and Staten Island. Brooklyn,
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: it's 45%, about half. The Bronx, it's 40%. Manhattan, just 23%
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: have cars. But there are some Democrats, and this is ridiculous,
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: punishing drivers by making commuting harder. It doesn't force people
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: onto bikes in public transit. It just puts an incredible
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: burden on them. You know, a lot of people are
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: using cars because they need to use a car for
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: one reason or another. And as another person pointed out,
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: transportation is not up to one person. Everybody should have choices.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: You know, where's your freedom of choice? You want to
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: have a car? You want to have a bike? It
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: should be a matter of choice, not the government telling
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: you how you're allowed to get around. Absolutely ridiculous. Hey,
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: anybody tells you New York is dying? Not the case.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Manhattan rent. You know, the rental market's going crazy in Manhattan.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: People are moving here like crazy. Go try to rent
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: an apartment. You can't do it right now. And if
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: you can find one, the rent is at an all-time high.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: Rent average now is $ 6, 800 a month. $ 6, 800 a month.
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: Manhattan rent's going crazy. Brooklyn has logged the busiest September ever.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: In six years, people coming to New York more than ever,
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: vacancy rate is now 1.5%. Fifth consecutive year, that's really low.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: That's incredibly low. That's because the vacancy rate is minuscule
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: and there's no inventory. Inventory has now declined year over
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: year for two straight years. So rental going crazy right now.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: which means people are moving here. And remember, people come,
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: all the people renting, all these people come and rent.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: Many of them will start to buy next year. A
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: lot of people who are renting are trying out a place,
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: a city. And then if they like it a year,
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: two years, they decide to buy. So when the rental
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: market goes crazy, it means the buying market will go
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: crazy next year and the year after. Hey, we'll take
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. Give me a call,
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: especially if you're a new caller.
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: 800-321-0710.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 1:26:49Speaker 11: Mark Simone.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: Only on 710WOR.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Hey, in Huntington, Long Island, there's a great Italian restaurant,
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: Posto Pozzo. I love this place. It's owned by two brothers,
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: Joey Patron, Luigi Patron. Luigi sends me a note here.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: He's in Starbucks this morning. And there's these kids yelling
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: and screaming about the price of gas. It's $ 4 a gallon.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: They can't believe it. Outrage, it's $ 4 a gallon. He
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: then watches them pay $ 7. 50 for a coffee, $ 7. 50 for
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: some fancy coffee, 20 ounces. So he figured it out.
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: If you bought Starbucks by the gallon, it's $ 42 a gallon.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: So they're outraged. Gas is $ 4 a gallon. but they
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: don't mind paying $ 42 a gallon for a Starbucks. Speaking
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: of Huntington, let's go to Eddie in Huntington. Eddie, how
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: you doing?
- 1:27:47Speaker 20: Hey, good morning, Mark. Just in regards to that shooting
- 1:27:51Speaker 20: with ice, I don't know what the federal guidelines are,
- 1:27:54Speaker 20: but I was in the police department 36 years. And
- 1:27:57Speaker 20: the only time we could shoot a vehicle coming out
- 1:27:59Speaker 20: of it, if they were using something, a deadly physical
- 1:28:03Speaker 20: force other than the vehicle, we couldn't get out of
- 1:28:05Speaker 20: the way. So in other words, If they had a
- 1:28:07Speaker 20: gun and they were shooting at us, we could fire back.
- 1:28:09Speaker 20: But if they were coming at us with just a vehicle,
- 1:28:11Speaker 20: we'd have to try and move.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: Yeah, you try and move. Where are you a cop?
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: New York City?
- 1:28:17Speaker 20: Yeah, 36 years. And the other issue for us was
- 1:28:19Speaker 20: if you're fighting that vehicle, you killed a guy. What's
- 1:28:22Speaker 20: going to happen to the vehicle after he's dead? Run
- 1:28:25Speaker 20: into a store, a bunch of old ladies. So hopefully
- 1:28:28Speaker 20: that video shows that those offices couldn't get out of
- 1:28:30Speaker 20: the way.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: That would be the issue, I think. All right. Good point.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Good point. We'll see. they now dhs says they will
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: release the body cam video and that we'll see it
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: let's go to phil suffolk county phil how.
- 1:28:41Speaker 21: You doing hello mark thanks for taking my call anybody
- 1:28:45Speaker 21: who saw that uh michigan senate uh debate between ied
- 1:28:51Speaker 21: and uh rogers rogers accounted himself very well he tied
- 1:28:56Speaker 21: uh Syed to Hamas and Hezbollah. And while Syed is
- 1:29:02Speaker 21: a little, he's eloquent, but Ed Rollins must have a
- 1:29:06Speaker 21: soft spot in his head to not agree that Rogers
- 1:29:10Speaker 21: is going to win.
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: Well, right now it's neck and neck. He did very
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: well in the debate. Here's Rogers.
- 1:29:15Speaker 12: What my friend here just wants to do is he's
- 1:29:18Speaker 12: kind of like a glitchy AI chatbot is say the
- 1:29:21Speaker 12: same thing over and over and over again.
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: But let me tell you this.
- 1:29:25Speaker 12: He has taken money from groups associated and support the
- 1:29:28Speaker 12: Muslim Brotherhood. He has taken money from individuals on his
- 1:29:32Speaker 12: campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: Yeah, now there's a lot of radical stuff in parts
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: of Michigan, you know, Dearborn, Ann Arbor. But the whole
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: state of Michigan is pretty sane and mostly Midwestern kind
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: of conservative. So Rogers most likely will win. Let's go
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: to Daniel in Westchester. Daniel, how you doing?
- 1:29:57Speaker 18: Hi, Mark.
- 1:29:58Speaker 14: Everybody should realize the Jews are the indigenous people of
- 1:30:01Speaker 14: the Middle East. The Muslims are the invaders.
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I keep forgetting to call them that. They are
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: the indigenous people in Israel. Indigenous. Democrats love that word.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: That's a good point. Thanks for calling. Marco in New Jersey. Marco,
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: what do you want to say?
- 1:30:19Speaker 14: Yeah, I got two things.
- 1:30:20Speaker 20: Hopefully you'll let me say it.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: No, give me one. If it's interesting, we might let
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: you do a second one.
- 1:30:26Speaker 16: Okay, so the first one is, is Trump a criminal?
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: All right, that's your last one. Thanks for calling. Let's
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 1:30:36Speaker 15: Good morning, Mark. Mark, what the retired NYPD police officer
- 1:30:41Speaker 15: forgot to mention is, I follow federal guidelines, not New
- 1:30:46Speaker 15: York City, not New York State guidelines. Mark, this is
- 1:30:50Speaker 15: another great talking point. I hope you bring it up
- 1:30:53Speaker 15: with Bruce Blakeman when he comes on. How did this
- 1:30:56Speaker 15: illegal alien get a driver's license, and how was he
- 1:31:01Speaker 15: able to register that car? And here's another thing. When
- 1:31:07Speaker 15: I was coming up, real wise guys never traveled with
- 1:31:11Speaker 15: their wife and kids because among wise guys, there was
- 1:31:14Speaker 15: a code of honor. You don't go after each other's
- 1:31:17Speaker 15: wife and kids. So the wise guys never traveled with
- 1:31:20Speaker 15: their wife and kids. If this guy was such a fine,
- 1:31:24Speaker 15: upstanding citizen that Mayor Mondami wants to make him out
- 1:31:28Speaker 15: to be, what are you doing with that kid in
- 1:31:30Speaker 15: your car? And when people say, gang affiliated, give me
- 1:31:34Speaker 15: a break. Well, when I was young and you heard, oh,
- 1:31:37Speaker 15: this person was affiliated with Lucky Luciano, Al Capone, that
- 1:31:42Speaker 15: meant that they were in the life, Mark. That didn't mean.
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Well, I guess what they mean, you know, you could
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: be a maid mob guy and then you could be
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: what they call an associate, which means they're using you for.
- 1:31:53Speaker 15: You go do the dirty work and everything. You're one
- 1:31:56Speaker 15: of the button men and everything.
- 1:31:58Speaker 12: And.
- 1:32:00Speaker 15: Mark, I got sick last night when I'm hearing all
- 1:32:03Speaker 15: these race-hustling community organizers feigning outrage. As a Life magazine
- 1:32:12Speaker 15: reporter once told me, she says the first thing that
- 1:32:16Speaker 15: cheesy politicians do and cheesy leaders do They hide behind
- 1:32:20Speaker 15: the skirts of women and children.
- 1:32:23Speaker 19: Oh, and there was a five-year-old child in that car.
- 1:32:26Speaker 19: What did that guy have his kid in the car for?
- 1:32:28Speaker 19: Because he knew he could also have been whacked by
- 1:32:31Speaker 19: another criminal who had it in for him.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Very good points, Vincent. We've got to go for the news,
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: but excellent points. Great call, as always. Hey, when we
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: come back, we'll talk to Bruce Blakeman. He's supposed to be, well,
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: we'll see what he's going to be doing today. It
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: might be with President Trump. The debate's coming up Tuesday.
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: We'll ask him about all this next on 710WOR.
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman would be the perfect governor for New York.
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: We're all hoping and praying that he wins. Now, it's
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: not too late to help his campaign. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com. Donate, volunteer,
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: whatever you can do. BlakemanForNewYork.com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing?
- 1:33:18Speaker 18: Mark, it's always a pleasure to be with you. I'm
- 1:33:20Speaker 18: doing great.
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: Hey, let me ask you this first. Kathy Hochul has
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: been spending millions of dollars on attack ads against you.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: She's running them 24-7. That usually indicates panic on her part.
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: Has she looked at the internal polling? Is that why
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: she's doing this?
- 1:33:37Speaker 18: Well, according to my friends in the Democratic Party, her
- 1:33:40Speaker 18: hair is on fire because we're in a virtual dead heat.
- 1:33:44Speaker 18: She never expected to be in that position. She wants
- 1:33:47Speaker 18: to talk about everything but her record because it's a
- 1:33:50Speaker 18: record of misery and failure. Think about it. The highest
- 1:33:53Speaker 18: taxed state in America. Utility bill 70% higher than the
- 1:33:56Speaker 18: national average. And she's the most pro-criminal governor in the
- 1:33:59Speaker 18: United States of America. Mark, she doesn't want to talk
- 1:34:02Speaker 18: about her record because she's made everybody miserable.
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, to do these attack ads, they had to
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: do all kinds of opposition research on you. And apparently
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: the only thing they found is you're friends with Donald Trump.
- 1:34:14Speaker 18: Sorry.
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: It's quite a compliment that that's all they came up with.
- 1:34:19Speaker 18: It's absolutely hysterical because all she says is Trump, Trump, Trump, MAGA, MAGA, MAGA. Look,
- 1:34:27Speaker 18: Donald Trump's a friend of mine. But if there's anything
- 1:34:31Speaker 18: about me that I've demonstrated throughout the years is that
- 1:34:34Speaker 18: I make my own decisions. I don't take orders from anybody.
- 1:34:37Speaker 18: I work for you, the taxpayers. That's who I'm beholden to.
- 1:34:42Speaker 18: So she can say whatever she wants. But the fact
- 1:34:44Speaker 18: of the matter is, I have a record of cutting taxes. U.S.
- 1:34:48Speaker 18: News & World Report said we have the safest county
- 1:34:50Speaker 18: in America. And Kathy Hochul doesn't talk about her record
- 1:34:54Speaker 18: because it's one of failure.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, the fact that you're friends with Donald Trump,
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: the fact that he likes you, wouldn't that mean you
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: could get more done for New York, more money, more whatever,
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: than she can?
- 1:35:05Speaker 18: Well, I'm sure it does. And it's always good, whether
- 1:35:09Speaker 18: it's a Republican president or a Democratic president, when the
- 1:35:12Speaker 18: president returns your call, and listens to you. So I
- 1:35:17Speaker 18: plan to use my relationship with the president to get
- 1:35:22Speaker 18: more for New York, to get our fair share, and
- 1:35:24Speaker 18: to make sure that we restore our economy here in
- 1:35:28Speaker 18: New York. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost
- 1:35:31Speaker 18: in the last year. Hundreds of thousands of people are leaving.
- 1:35:35Speaker 18: It's just a death spiral right now, Mark, and we've
- 1:35:39Speaker 18: got to pull out of that death spiral and I
- 1:35:42Speaker 18: can assure you I'm the pilot that can pull us
- 1:35:45Speaker 18: out of that death spiral.
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: Well, you've done it for Nassau County. You're considered the
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: best county executive in America. That's basically the same job
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: as governor. Hey, the president's schedule has him in Syracuse
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: later today. Are you going to Syracuse?
- 1:35:58Speaker 18: I'm on my way to the airport right now.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: Oh, okay. So that'll be good. So you're going to
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: campaign with him?
- 1:36:07Speaker 18: Yeah, we're going to have a rally in Syracuse. The
- 1:36:12Speaker 18: people in upstate New York are very excited. They rarely
- 1:36:15Speaker 18: get a visit from the President of the United States,
- 1:36:18Speaker 18: so this is very special to them. And you know, Mark,
- 1:36:22Speaker 18: Kathy Hochul likes to portray me as this right-wing extremist.
- 1:36:27Speaker 18: You know, I've been endorsed by liberal Democrats because they
- 1:36:31Speaker 18: know I'm a common-sense person, that I'm a reasonable person.
- 1:36:35Speaker 18: I mean, Deborah Messing is a Democrat liberal. She's an actress.
- 1:36:41Speaker 18: She never supports Republicans. She endorsed me. Bonnie Lautenberg, the
- 1:36:45Speaker 18: widow of Senator Frank Lautenberg. Frank Lautenberg was a pillar
- 1:36:49Speaker 18: of the Democratic Party in the United States Senate. His widow,
- 1:36:53Speaker 18: a Democrat, a liberal, is endorsing me for governor because
- 1:36:58Speaker 18: their party is not liberal anymore. It's insane. They want
- 1:37:02Speaker 18: to become a socialist, anti-Semite, anti-Christian, anti-American party.
- 1:37:08Speaker 7: And.
- 1:37:09Speaker 18: My election will actually help the Democratic Party because it'll
- 1:37:12Speaker 18: be the beginning of the end of the DSA.
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: Yeah, good point. Hey, Tuesday night is the debate. Kathy
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: Hochul has turned down all the real TV stations. She's
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: only agreed to New York One. So what do you
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: think will happen Tuesday night?
- 1:37:27Speaker 18: Well, I'm very happy to talk about my record. I'm
- 1:37:31Speaker 18: sure she's not going to talk about her record. And
- 1:37:33Speaker 18: I think we'll have some fun. I think it will
- 1:37:35Speaker 18: be instructive to people who watch or listen. They'll get
- 1:37:39Speaker 18: to know more about me. They'll get to know more
- 1:37:42Speaker 18: about her record, which many of them already know because
- 1:37:46Speaker 18: they tell me they're miserable under Kathy Hochul. So it's
- 1:37:49Speaker 18: a good opportunity. Hopefully it will be about the issues
- 1:37:52Speaker 18: affecting New Yorkers, state issues. Kathy Hochul will try and
- 1:37:56Speaker 18: make it into a food fight. That's not my intention.
- 1:38:01Speaker 18: My intention is to talk issues.
- 1:38:03Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: Now it's New York One, very few viewers. The other
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: problem is it's the most liberal, biased... Errol Lewis, very
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: nice guy, but very, very left wing. He's going to
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: run the debate. That's not a problem. That doesn't bother you,
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: does it? You can handle that.
- 1:38:16Speaker 18: It doesn't bother me at all. And probably by the
- 1:38:18Speaker 18: end of the debate, Errol will be voting for me
- 1:38:20Speaker 18: as well.
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: That could be. Hey, the ICE incident yesterday in New York, Mamdani, Tisch.
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: not Tish, Letitia James, all grandstanding like crazy. What do
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: you think will happen with this? It looks like the
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: body cam footage will be released.
- 1:38:41Speaker 18: Well, first of all, I think the question has to
- 1:38:43Speaker 18: be asked, what was this guy doing in New York?
- 1:38:47Speaker 18: This is a guy... who's a convicted felon. He's an
- 1:38:50Speaker 18: illegal migrant. He's being charged with drug dealing right now.
- 1:38:57Speaker 18: He's got another charge for drug dealing, and he's got
- 1:38:59Speaker 18: alleged associations with gangs. And he's an illegal migrant. What
- 1:39:04Speaker 18: is he doing in New York? Kathy Hochul's caused this
- 1:39:07Speaker 18: problem by creating a sanctuary state, which is like a
- 1:39:12Speaker 18: magnet to steel, For every illegal migrant with a criminal
- 1:39:15Speaker 18: record because Kathy Hochul won't let local law enforcement cooperate
- 1:39:20Speaker 18: with ICE. If NYPD was cooperating with ICE, I guarantee
- 1:39:25Speaker 18: you this probably would never have happened.
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, explain in Nassau County you've had no problems
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: because you made sure that the local police cooperated with ICE, right?
- 1:39:37Speaker 18: We got out. Illegal migrants with criminal records ranging from murder,
- 1:39:42Speaker 18: attempted murder, rape, robbery, burglary, drug dealing, and gang activity.
- 1:39:46Speaker 18: We removed them without raiding a school, without raiding a
- 1:39:50Speaker 18: daycare center, without raiding a hospital, without raiding a church.
- 1:39:54Speaker 18: It was all smooth and organized and safe. And then
- 1:39:59Speaker 18: Kathy Hochul said, we can't cooperate with ICE anymore. And
- 1:40:03Speaker 18: a 14-year-old girl in Nassau County was raped. by an
- 1:40:08Speaker 18: illegal migrant. Kathy Hochul, you have blood on your hands.
- 1:40:13Speaker 18: That is something that should never be tolerated, and yet
- 1:40:17Speaker 18: you allow these people to remain in our state.
- 1:40:20Speaker 14: Shame on you.
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: Hey, Bruce Blakeman, you were like 20 points behind now
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: in the latest polling. I'm talking about the real polls,
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: not the public ones, the real polls. You're neck and neck.
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: You're both within the margin of error. In this other polling,
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: apparently you have the big majority with independents. What does
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: that mean? Isn't that the key to winning independents?
- 1:40:40Speaker 18: Yeah, listen, I've consistently had a majority of independent men
- 1:40:45Speaker 18: and women supporting me. You can't believe these woke university polls,
- 1:40:50Speaker 18: many of which are funded by the state. And who
- 1:40:53Speaker 18: controls the state? Kathy Hochul. So you can't believe them.
- 1:40:57Speaker 18: We've seen a number of polls that show we're in
- 1:41:01Speaker 18: a statistical dead heat. So I am very confident that
- 1:41:05Speaker 18: if everybody gets out to vote and everybody does their part,
- 1:41:09Speaker 18: that I will be the next governor of the state
- 1:41:11Speaker 18: of New York.
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: Okay, but I hope you will. We really hope so.
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: When they say a Republican can never win, didn't they
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: say that to you in Nassau County too?
- 1:41:22Speaker 18: They did. And here's the thing. Every day, another Democrat
- 1:41:26Speaker 18: comes up to me and says, Bruce, I'm a lifelong Democrat.
- 1:41:29Speaker 18: I've never voted for Republicans in my life. I'm voting
- 1:41:31Speaker 18: for you this year. Because people are fed up, number one.
- 1:41:36Speaker 18: Number two, people say, well, how can a Republican win
- 1:41:41Speaker 18: in a blue state? And I reply, how can Kathy
- 1:41:44Speaker 18: Hochul win when her unfavorables are anywhere between 50% to 60%
- 1:41:50Speaker 18: of the people think that she's doing a terrible job
- 1:41:53Speaker 18: and don't like her? So I believe those people are
- 1:41:57Speaker 18: going to come out on Election Day and vote for
- 1:42:00Speaker 18: me because they're fed up with her.
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: Is it really a blue state if you go north
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: of New York City? How blue is it?
- 1:42:07Speaker 18: It ain't very blue north of Westchester, I can tell
- 1:42:10Speaker 18: you that. But listen, even in the blue parts, you know,
- 1:42:15Speaker 18: Erie County is a blue county. The last poll that
- 1:42:18Speaker 18: was done up there, I didn't do the poll. It's
- 1:42:20Speaker 18: not my poll. The last poll that was done 45 Blakeman,
- 1:42:24Speaker 18: 45 Hochul.
- 1:42:26Speaker 15: Okay?
- 1:42:27Speaker 18: That's Kathy Hochul's hometown, Buffalo. We're dead even. We're 10% undecided.
- 1:42:33Speaker 18: The undecided generally break against the incumbent. We're going to
- 1:42:36Speaker 18: win Erie County. We're going to beat her in Buffalo,
- 1:42:39Speaker 18: her hometown. She's booed at Buffalo Bill games.

- 1:43:14Speaker 18: lot of good people didn't vote in New York City.
- 1:43:16Speaker 18: He didn't have a big victory. There was low turnout.

- 1:44:28Speaker 19: 710WOR.
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: Hey, first hour, we were talking about the Nobel Peace Prize,
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: which has no validity at all. It's a left-wing, biased,
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: crazy award. And President Trump, you know, saying, I should
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: get it. I settled five wars. I got the hostages released. Well,
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: normally that's what you'd get a Nobel Peace Prize for.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: But it's a left-wing crazy award. Well, they gave it
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: to this idiot from the UN, Navi Pillay. Now, the
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: president putting up a really tough tweet about the Nobel
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: Committee shamed itself beyond repair, demeaned the once great Nobel
- 1:45:05Speaker 2: Peace Prize winner. by giving it to this hater of
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: America and Israel. And he goes into her background, apparently,
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: and she's with one of these fake international criminal court,
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: fake made-up courts. And he points out, in her position,
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: she celebrated terrorists, rewarded Hamas, conducted a phony investigation, claiming
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: Israel committed genocide, and urging prosecution of Israel. Well, that's
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: how she got the Nobel Peace Prize. I hate to
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: break it to you, but that's the way it works.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: He said, what can you expect from a committee that
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: also gave the Peace Prize to Yasser Arafat? It's a
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: very anti-Semitic award. Anyway, we're out of time. Hey, don't forget,
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: if you're a podcast listener, on the weekends, we do
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: an extra show. If you listen to the podcast, some
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: people hear the show that way. They can't listen nine
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: to noon. So instead of listening live, they get the podcast. Well,
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: if we're one of those podcast listeners... You get a
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: bonus show on the weekends, an extra show that's never
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: on the air. So check it. And you can get
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: the show, the podcast, any place you get your podcasts. Otherwise,
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: we're on the air 9 to noon, 9 to noon
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: every weekday. I'll be back Monday at 9. Have a
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: great weekend. Take care.
