- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the WR Life Back Studios, Mark Simone, Well, hey,
- 0:08Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:12Speaker 1: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one
- 0:17Speaker 1: zero seven ten. I'm starting to see it already wherever
- 0:21Speaker 1: I go. Yes, summer is over. I go on the supermarket.
- 0:26Speaker 1: There it is right on the shelf, Pumpkin spice, coffee,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Starbucks fall blend. I'm starting to see this all over
- 0:34Speaker 1: the It really is the end. It's really the last
- 0:36Speaker 1: two or three weeks of summer. And then it's actually
- 0:40Speaker 1: been kind of a miserable summer. I mean weather, it's
- 0:42Speaker 1: been too hot, too sticky, too humid, Canadian wildfire air.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It's just I don't know. I mean maybe maybe it's
- 0:49Speaker 1: good it's over. Hey, you notice the media is always
- 0:52Speaker 1: looking for Mitch McConnell. Where's Mitch McConnell. I had something's
- 0:56Speaker 1: going on with Mitch McConnell. He was in the hospital supposedly,
- 1:00Speaker 1: and I guess he was, and then he was there
- 1:03Speaker 1: for months and it did then was one point he
- 1:05Speaker 1: was reported he was brained dead, and then it turned
- 1:08Speaker 1: out he wasn't brained that He's been calling people and
- 1:10Speaker 1: talking to them, but nobody's seen him. They put out
- 1:13Speaker 1: these pictures. He looks like a mummy and they're but
- 1:17Speaker 1: they're demanding to see him. They're demanding them No where
- 1:19Speaker 1: he is. You never did that with Joe Biden. We
- 1:21Speaker 1: wouldn't see Joe Biden for a week at a time.
- 1:23Speaker 1: You never said a word. The President of the United
- 1:25Speaker 1: States would disappear, never a word from the media. And
- 1:28Speaker 1: now all of a sudden, there done, Mitch McConnell. Watch
- 1:31Speaker 1: where is he? Why isn't he? Let's take some calls.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Let's go to uh Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich, How
- 1:36Speaker 1: you doing?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Hey? Thanks? Mark del Where's the Maxine Waters? Nobody wants
- 1:40Speaker 2: to know what Maxine Water is this? She's been missing
- 1:42Speaker 2: for seven months. Also, you know it hit one. What's that?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yeah? They're both like one hundred years old and.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Right, they've been there for one hundred years. Yeah, you know. Today,
- 1:52Speaker 2: in nineteen sixty two, I heard the ad for the
- 1:54Speaker 2: iHeart the PNC Center with Wringo Star and his all
- 1:57Speaker 2: star band, which is always a great show. Today. In
- 2:01Speaker 2: nineteen sixty two, he made his debut with the Beatles
- 2:04Speaker 2: in Hulm Hall h U l m E over there
- 2:08Speaker 2: just about twenty minutes outside of Liverpool. We actually went
- 2:10Speaker 2: there last year on our Beatles tour. It was fantastic.
- 2:13Speaker 1: You know, the there are the people that actually did
- 2:16Speaker 1: just explain to the odent of people and actually do this.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They go on to Beatles tour and they take it
- 2:20Speaker 1: and they go this, this is where Paul McCartney lived
- 2:23Speaker 1: when he was twelve, and they stare at it. They
- 2:25Speaker 1: take a picture in front of him.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Well, you know, I went into that house. I got
- 2:28Speaker 2: the play.
- 2:30Speaker 1: They they give you a tour of the house. It's
- 2:32Speaker 1: same thing like Theodore Roosevelt said, They give you a tour.
- 2:35Speaker 1: This is the floor he would stand on. This, this
- 2:38Speaker 1: is the table he would sit at. This, This is
- 2:41Speaker 1: a chair he would sit in. The What kind of
- 2:43Speaker 1: tour is this?
- 2:45Speaker 2: It was awesome, It really was awesome. The Beatles guy
- 2:47Speaker 2: is really unbelievable. Ring has always got a great show.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I've seen every incarnation of it since the beginning. But
- 2:52Speaker 2: you know, you know one thing about the gas prices
- 2:55Speaker 2: mark the tax on the gallon of gas remains the same.
- 2:59Speaker 2: It doesn't go up, doesn't go down. The price of
- 3:01Speaker 2: the gas from the gas company.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Actually goes up and down taxes do go.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Tax, the tax to market, the tax. The tax on
- 3:10Speaker 2: a gallon of gas, I motal beach is the same
- 3:12Speaker 2: every day of the week.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Six But in many in many states, the taxes go
- 3:16Speaker 1: up and down all the time. Generally they go up,
- 3:18Speaker 1: they never go down.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Some states do, but the price is Stagnantough, if the
- 3:23Speaker 2: oil companies are really whipping off the American public, and
- 3:25Speaker 2: nobody else can can deny it and you can't defend it.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Okay, we're starting to get mailed about you, Rich email em.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Why is this guy so angry all the time, complaining
- 3:37Speaker 1: all the time you move?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Well, I'm not I'm not a pannikin. I'm not a panikin.
- 3:41Speaker 1: No, no, no, you just seem to be annoyed. I
- 3:45Speaker 1: was in the grocery store and this cost three cents
- 3:47Speaker 1: too much, and then a gas you just you know gas.
- 3:51Speaker 2: The model beach should be down around you know, two
- 3:53Speaker 2: twenty cents, it's three sixty four, three fifty four. It's
- 3:57Speaker 2: not going down. Near stances goes up. I'll tell you
- 3:59Speaker 2: that I'm down.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's myrtle beach. You're never going to drive more than
- 4:03Speaker 1: half a mile to go anywhere.
- 4:06Speaker 3: But what you do.
- 4:06Speaker 2: You gotta go. You gotta go thirty miles to Georgetown
- 4:09Speaker 2: and wially Charleston is two hours to me. So it's
- 4:11Speaker 2: a big drug.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Sounds pretty exciting. Now Listen, a lot of people are
- 4:15Speaker 1: just saying, why is this guy? Is it? Just tell
- 4:17Speaker 1: the truth? Did you move to South Carolina? And there's
- 4:19Speaker 1: something frustrating about it? It's a little annoying being there.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yes, the heat. It was one hundred and fourteen yesterday.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's unbelievable. Every day like today, it's supposed to be
- 4:28Speaker 2: one hundred and eight, it'll end up being one hundred eleven,
- 4:30Speaker 2: one hundred and twelve, you know, by by eleven thirty yesterday, Mark,
- 4:34Speaker 2: I had to go in the house. How to get
- 4:35Speaker 2: out of the school? Go out finishing?
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that explains it. It's the heat. If you
- 4:40Speaker 1: go down there and live and it's one hundred and
- 4:42Speaker 1: five every day, And this guy, every time he pulls
- 4:44Speaker 1: into the gas station he gets outraged.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Look at it? That what up?
- 4:48Speaker 1: All right? Just calm down, calm down. Thanks thanks for calling.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Let's go to uh rich in New Jersey. Rich. How
- 4:54Speaker 1: you doing.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:56Speaker 4: I called last week about my cousin. But in the meantime,
- 4:59Speaker 4: you're only a somebody when you know somebody or somebody. So, uh,
- 5:02Speaker 4: I dance with Isabella Johnny at a wedding. That's another story.
- 5:06Speaker 1: You know. The one great thing about this call is
- 5:08Speaker 1: nothing you're saying registers with anybody. Nothing makes sense. We
- 5:12Speaker 1: don't know what the hell. It's all disjoined, vague stuff
- 5:16Speaker 1: that we don't know what you're even saying.
- 5:18Speaker 4: All right, all right, the Muslims washing their feet in
- 5:20Speaker 4: an airport? Okay, why don't they have their little basis
- 5:24Speaker 4: for Catholics to bless themselves with holy water when they
- 5:27Speaker 4: walk in?
- 5:28Speaker 2: What they do?
- 5:29Speaker 1: But it can well, I gotta be honest. If I
- 5:31Speaker 1: see Muslims were washing their feet in the airport, tell
- 5:33Speaker 1: me it looks pretty silly. But I don't get mad
- 5:36Speaker 1: about it. I don't say why don't they have? It
- 5:39Speaker 1: looks pretty stupid. It's really kind of stupid. Why did
- 5:43Speaker 1: they wash their feet? I don't even remember.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's a ritual or something for what.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Before they pray?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Is that it?
- 5:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I have no idea, but yeah, it
- 5:53Speaker 1: does look kind of silly, and uh, I don't know
- 5:56Speaker 1: why do it in airport when you're about to get
- 5:58Speaker 1: on a plane, which is as filthy places you can go.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark yess Mike.
- 6:08Speaker 3: You mentioned that they have the fall stuff on the
- 6:10Speaker 3: shelves up in the shops in New York. They do
- 6:12Speaker 3: it down here in Florida. Walmart's got all their long
- 6:15Speaker 3: sleeve clothing and long sleeve shirts and pants out and
- 6:18Speaker 3: the fall stuff out there. Like it's gonna be another
- 6:20Speaker 3: three and a half months of ninety three weather. But
- 6:22Speaker 3: somehow or another, summer's over in Florida.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah. But let me ask you something down there in Florida,
- 6:26Speaker 1: because up here, everybody's, oh my god, summer's over. It's
- 6:31Speaker 1: Do you worry about that? Aren't you kind of glad
- 6:33Speaker 1: summer's over because for you it's too hot and something.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yes, winter is the best three days of the year now.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but you guys actually look forward to summer endings.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's great when it's over because now it'll be normal.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I do, I do.
- 6:46Speaker 4: But it never ends.
- 6:47Speaker 3: That's the problem.
- 6:48Speaker 2: It never really ends.
- 6:49Speaker 3: It kind of slows down a little bit, but it
- 6:51Speaker 3: never really ends.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And when you're down there in Florida, don't you miss
- 6:55Speaker 1: like normal trees and normal you know, we have hills.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I miss no trees, to be honestly, I lived in
- 7:02Speaker 3: Manhattan for forty years. There are too many trees down here.
- 7:05Speaker 3: You're obsessed with planting stuff and hedges and all they do,
- 7:09Speaker 3: all they ever do all day long is mowed the glass,
- 7:11Speaker 3: blow it into the drains and then it floods. So
- 7:15Speaker 3: it's quite a system.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll say, up here we have hills, and I
- 7:20Speaker 1: think you know you're driving uphill down here. It's all
- 7:22Speaker 1: flat there in Florida. Doesn't that get here?
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's not the hills, it's the mentally ill old people
- 7:30Speaker 3: who are driving that. They are impediments. They're more dangerous
- 7:34Speaker 3: than the hills.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yeah, no, they drive, you mean they drive very slow,
- 7:37Speaker 1: those old people slow.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Nobody signals, They just get over because they think they're
- 7:42Speaker 3: the only person on the road. Yeah, it's really quite
- 7:46Speaker 3: it's it's real eye opener. I drove a camp in
- 7:48Speaker 3: New York for a year and it wasn't as dangerous
- 7:50Speaker 3: as driving here.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very dangerous these old people. In fact, you
- 7:53Speaker 1: have to it's not just keep honking the horn. You
- 7:55Speaker 1: got to like tape the horn down with like duct tape.
- 7:58Speaker 1: So yes, always honking.
- 7:59Speaker 3: So you have to actually plow them through the intersection
- 8:03Speaker 3: because it's the only way to get them moving. If
- 8:06Speaker 3: they see flashing lights, forget about it, any flashing lights anywhere,
- 8:08Speaker 3: they come to a complete hall the panic, you know,
- 8:12Speaker 3: and then the other part of them you equate. That
- 8:14Speaker 3: equation is half the people down here spend the whole
- 8:16Speaker 3: afternoon in a bar and then they get out and
- 8:19Speaker 3: drive home.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know, all right, well it's a good point,
- 8:25Speaker 1: great call. Thanks. So if you're sending New York saying
- 8:27Speaker 1: I gotta go to South Carolina, I gotta go to Florida, listen,
- 8:31Speaker 1: it doesn't sound so great down there. Let's go to
- 8:33Speaker 1: Pam in New Jersey. Pam, how you doing.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Hey. The reason for the foot washing in the Arab world, uh,
- 8:41Speaker 5: the biggest their their feet are very important because it
- 8:45Speaker 5: can add also be an insult. I had a student
- 8:48Speaker 5: who was fighting with another student. They were Arabic. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 5: and the one kid said, I throw my shoes at you,
- 8:55Speaker 5: and it's like the big insult because the feet are
- 8:58Speaker 5: closest to the ground considered dirty.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Oh okay, there you go. You cleared it up. Still
- 9:03Speaker 1: sounds silly, but okay, thanks for that, Pam. Hey, we
- 9:06Speaker 1: got a lot to get to. We got a lot
- 9:08Speaker 1: of stuff to cover today, and don't forget. At noon
- 9:12Speaker 1: it's Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. That's a really good show.
- 9:15Speaker 1: And then at three o'clock you got the most listened
- 9:17Speaker 1: to radio show in America, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly, six o'clock,
- 9:22Speaker 1: the very Funny Jimmy Taylor. Every night at nine here
- 9:25Speaker 1: on seven ten WR
