- Casey: Hello everyone and welcome back to the Mention It All Again pod. It's one out of two of your co-hosts, Casey, and as always. Blake: Two out of two, Blake. Welcome back, y'all. Welcome back. Casey: I know. Blake: we come bearing gifts in the form of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season four, which I think is probably. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think it's probably the most stacked. one season wonder, Housewives season. Like Joyce, Carlton, both heavy hitters, like both important enough, I think, to like how the season plays out Casey: Right. Blake: and then vanish without a trace. I don't think there's another season that has one hit one hit wonders where you're like two and then don't yeah, Casey: that both are good and then both go away. Blake: don't come back. And two that like Plausibly could have. Like I actually don't Casey: Definitely. Blake: know the lore behind why they didn't, but I feel like you typically are watching a housewife season with like a a new housewife and you're like, Yeah, she's probably not coming back. Like you don't really feel that way about these two. Casey: No, this season actually is excellent. And we have only watched the first half for this episode. We'll eventually return to the second half, we, between the two of us, watched the episodes through episode 11. So if you're gonna watch the season, if you're inspired by our watchings and you wanna follow in our... My big footsteps, I have big feet. I don't know what Blake's shoe size is, but in my big massive Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: footsteps, you can follow right along. And yeah. Blake: Yeah, we're doing one through one through eleven. We'll probably pick it back up and finish it next month. because we we already have our calendar out for those of y'all who want to know what we are doing for the rest of the month. We have our calendar up on our social media. I believe we are finishing the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Or we're starting the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season two next week. And then Casey: Yes. Blake: I believe after that we are finishing The Real Housewives of Atlanta season nine. And then after that, for my special birthday episode, we are going to go through all of the Stossy VPR birthday episodes. because apparently Casey was telling me that that's what They always record, they always film for her birthday, and she's always going on like a birthday trip or some type of shenanigan, shindig. Casey: I'm so excited. Blake: So we have that coming your way. And then I believe there's one. the end like 'cause it's like the thirty first. Casey: Yes, feud. We're bringing back our most loved series. Don't Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: fact check me on that. Our most loved series, feud. And we will be examining the iconic feud between Bethany and Ramona across the entire Western Front. We'll be going through the comprehensive history of these explosive ladies. So that'll be a big end to the month. Blake: The highs and the lows. Yeah, it's it we got a lot for you guys. So let's jump straight into Housewives of Beverly Hills season four. But I would be remiss if we didn't do the taglines. So I will start. Kyle Richards, I'm from this town. I know what's real and fake. Casey: Yolanda, my god, my voice there. my, that didn't even really sound like me. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Yolanda Hadid Foster. I guess we'll drop the foster, cause fuck him. Yolanda Hadid. Don't tell me I'm your friend. Act like one. Blake: Accent. Brandy Glamville, the motherfucking queen. In Beverly Hills, the higher you climb, the farther you fall. Casey: Kimmy Richards, everybody loves a comeback story, especially starring me. Blake: So true. It's really true. Carlton Jabiah! We got the witch in the house. In my world, money doesn't talk. It swears. Casey: Holy fuck, that was alarming. And I'm actually really glad you get to do a repeat of that accent because now you have Lisa's too. says is, you can never be too young, too thin, or too honest. Girl, shut the fuck up if you don't shut the fuck up right now. Blake: I literally like I know like I know we passed the Violence Against Women Act, but like I feel like someone needs to like take like a frying pan or something 'cause what the fuck? Casey: Like first of all you can be all of those things you can be too young too thin and too Blake: I feel like it really just depends, honestly. Casey: It really does. was, my like, this is so f'd up, but I'm like, what could you like be too young for? And my first is like, what if they're a minor for sex? Too young, you can be too young. Like Joyce, this is. Blake: Yeah, well, y that's immediately what I thought of. Like the age of consent is real, girl. Like, I don't like I definitely I know that Puerto Rico is in the US, so they definitely probably have a c age of consent law, girl. Like I don't know what the fuck you go on in your head, but so anyway, that's just you can tell she's gonna be a really annoying housewife because of that tagline. And then LVP has some of the best taglines. Loif my god, not Loif. I like usually can do a better British accent than this. Life? It does Casey: Yeah. Blake: not sound like that. What the fuck? Okay. Okay. Casey: you Blake: Life. my life is a sexy little What is happening? Okay. Life is a sexy little dance, and I like to take the lead. It's just life. For some reason, life was really Casey: You kind of got it back there in the end. Blake: It's the Daunts. Daunts got me back in there, but Loif? Like what what was why can't I it's fine. It's fine. Casey: Wait, I will say I really hate LVP's tagline. Every episode that I watched and I had to listen to her little freak ass be like, a sexy little dance. Blake: She's honestly kind of like a low-key sex pervert, but she gets away with it because she's sexy. Casey: No, yes! Blake: She gets away with it because she's really hot. Do you know? Casey: Also putting that as your tagline when you drop out of Dancing with the Stars, like two episodes in, is a crazy move. Blake: I No, I know, I'm like, are we pretending like this was your thing that you like enjoyed doing? I've Life is a Casey: Did you like- do you like to take the lead? I don't know if you do. Blake: sexy little dance and I like to faint because it's too hard for me, apparently. Like but she does I do think that LVP has some of the best taglines. I love the one that's like throw me to the wolves and I'll return leading the pack. Casey: my god, see I disagree. I like hate them. They like make me feel unsafe I don't like how she's always talking in her creepy little British accent about animals and Blake: I think that's fair. Casey: sex like stay away from me Blake: Okay, do remember her like Halloween post where she was dressed Casey: You Blake: up as like a Dalmatian and it was like, How much is that doggy in the window? I was like, that's actually like you should be on a registry. Like it's it's really fucking weird. Like the line between L VP animal lover and L VP like bestiality is very blurred. Casey: It's thin. And she walks it. Blake: Talk about blurred lines. she's she's tripping onto the bestiality side. It's like she's taking a DUI like test and she's trying to walk, and then she's so drunk she falls into the bestiality side. shit, that was an accident for sure. Anyway. Casey: I'm sorry, back this way, back this way. Well, I mean, she is on Dancing with the Stars. And doesn't last super long. We'll get there. But that's how the season opens is like she's in rehearsals and Obviously it's her tagline, so she has to kind of get to it, because otherwise what the hell is she talking about in her tagline? Blake: Yeah, so she so the season opens with her like practicing. you know, she's like, I've been doing this for like weeks. I like have been MIA as a mother, MIA as like a a wife, MIA is like a friend. Like it's taken like so much out of me. She's talking about how she wanted to have a gay dance partner, and they gave her this like really young straight guy who's actually pretty hot. His name is unfortunately Gleb, which Casey: Well, let me tap in real quick as the Dancing with the Stars stand in residence because first Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: of all, I don't even think there were any gay male partners on Dancing with the Stars at this time for her to be cast with. So she's clearly not a fan. She's being fake. And Gleb is the one that they give like the hot women on every season to like... like stir up like show man's rumors like because like he's sexy like they always put him with somebody else that's sexy Blake: H is home. Casey: and like even in more recent times like if you know you probably don't but maybe someone listening well Brooks Nader she has a reality show she's like a influencer actress model all the all the stuff she was partnered with Gleb on like a recent season and they were fucking the whole time and then like everybody knew about it and they dated and they had this big falling out so he actually kind of sucks I think he's kind of probably Blake: Well Casey: like a misogynist, but Lisa and him seem to be enjoying each other. Blake: Y I was gonna say, like, he definitely gives y now that you told me that I can see that vibe because he the way they were practicing their dancing, his th his hips were fully gyrating, he was thrusting into her butt. I and the thing is like Lisa Vanderpom loves to pretend like she's above like Horniness, even though like she's clearly the most horny person on the cast. Like, hands I would say Casey: Right. Blake: hornier than Brandy, but she just pretends like, I'm just this old woman who doesn't do that anymore, and everything every joke is like, Ken hasn't seen me naked in thirty years. Girl Casey: Right, me and Ken never have sex. I can only speak about sex in relation to the animals that I encounter, like... Okay. Blake: Right, right. But when you see your little pony from Ohio, the one that has the little like gimp leg or whatever, that's the that's when you start getting real revved up. So that's what she's got going on. Yolanda, we begin the season. Gigi Hadid is I don't know who that is. It's her daughter. No one's ever heard of her before. She's trying to make it in the really difficult world of modeling. So she's a at a a chute and Casey: I wonder if she'll make it. Blake: I I guess we'll have to wait and watch because I'd never heard of her before. And so Yolanda is like kind of like, I'm so excited she's like, you know, really getting there and she's like she's gonna move to New York, for for college soon. She like just turned eighteen. And it's like funny cause she this is like this season has so many like E D Yolanda moments. Like she's like talking to Gigi and she's like You know, it's hard to exercise six days a week and not eat any sugar and eat salad every day, but see how it pays off? And she says it in such a like rosy way, and I'm like, no sugar, exercise every single day. All she can eat is are leaves. And you're saying that in a way that's like, see, it's amazing. also, we find out that Yolanda has been struggling with Lyme's disease. and this is not season five Lyme's disease where she's bedridden. But she was kind of like not okay for a bit. And she's like up and atom and whatever. She's fine this season. But that apparently just is going on. and Brandy, she's getting a new house. She's moving on up. She's getting a new house. and she's fucking her realtor who she's friends with, who she met at Kyle's White Party, who she's fucking because she wanted him to like probably get her like a good deal on the house or something. We have Kyle. We have Kyle and her store. Kyle by Aileen too. So this is my question to you. Is it like Kyle by like what is the the the title is confusing? Casey: Stop it, because I was just about to be like, I actually have never really understood the title to be so honest. Blake: Kyle by like it's so it's like by Kyle and by Aileen Casey: Like who's Aline? Blake: like that yeah, is it it's like also by Aileen or like Aline like what Casey: It is so Aline, Aline 2 is like another brand. like this is a store of a brand and they like partnered with like Kyle Richards to throw her name on it to like. Blake: 'Cause I was gonna say like it sounds like it I Casey: I'm like, let Aline speak, like, Ms. Tu, come to the mic! Blake: So I've like that I can't believe I could have just Googled that and it would have been resolved so quickly. I've wondered that forever. Casey: I know I've never have ever either. Blake: Like, I was like, Kyle and also Aileen. Like, I feel like you could have worded that better, but whatever. so we this is important. She's like she has her little store situation, whatever, but mind you, like the most hideous clothes I've ever seen in my life, which is par for the course with Kyle. Casey: Right, it like fits her style at the time. Blake: And yeah, she's like she's like in her own store and she's like, Wow, that's the best thing I've ever seen. my god, wait, those pants and I'm like, Okay, no someone locked the door. Yeah, like it's your store. I feel so bad. Casey: Right, you picked it. did you? Act like you work here, mama. Blake: So like this man walks into the store And is and is like, Casey: you Blake: whoa, you're like a business owner. This is your store. You need to join the chamber of commerce, which is full of people who own businesses like you, because you have a store. Casey: you Blake: And so she's like, my god, what? I never thought I'd be a business person. So she's like, you know what? I'll have a reception for all the business people in the chamber of commerce since I'm a businesswoman. And That, ladies and gentlemen, is our horribly contrived entryway for the newbies to be introduced to the rest of the women. So Casey: Love it. Love the pretenses we put up for these scenes. as we've mentioned this already on this podcast, I think multiple times, it will never be Tamra as Heather Newfrow's realtor on a plot of dirt, but they can try. Blake: Literally Casey: They can, they can try with this chamber of commerce reception, but whatever. Blake: I actually like am not mad at it because Lisa Vanderpump is so shady about it in her confessionals. Like she's like, well, I mean, Kyle's good at like shopping, but I don't know if she's good at business. Like, she's just like, that's hilarious. I feel like Lisa, there's like a part of her that's like, this is bullshit. Like they didn't they're not walking up to Kyle by Aline too. Like, you have such a prestigious Commercial enterprise. Like please join like there it's literally I don't even that man probably was part of production. They probably paid him 50 bucks. Casey: I mean, like she definitely told him to come, yeah. Blake: Yeah, like he sent an email to the chamber of commerce. Like, could you stop by? I have something that I want to talk to you about. Casey: At 1130, there might be some cameras. Don't pay them any mind. Just walk right in and be sure to say that I own a business several times. Blake: Right, and I'll I will actually be there even though I'm usually not because it's I really don't do anything for the store, but I will be standing there at this current time. So we have to we have to remind the the viewers that Lisa and Kyle the last season Kyle had expressed to Yolanda Hadid that she she thinks that like Lisa is full of shit, or that Lisa was lying about something. I forgot what it was, doesn't Casey: Yeah. Blake: matter. But basically she said that Yolanda conveyed that to LVP, and Yolon now Kyle is denying ever having said that. And so they are kind of out like having it like a spat. And so Casey: Right. Blake: like Lisa Vanderpump doesn't care about this. But Kyle is upset that Yolanda tried to make her look bad in L VP's eyes. And I guess cause she also knows that LvP can be very strategic with the way that she deals with people, so she might say she's good with you, but if she thinks that you might feel that way about her, she will find a way to get back at you. Kyle knows that very well. So LVP shows up to Kyle's house beginning of the season and right off the bat, in front of young Portia, who is probably like I don't know, she looks like six or something. I have no idea. Yeah. Casey: She's young, yeah, whatever. Whatever young means to you guys, it can... Blake: Like a a child, a child who who should be protected. Her their innocence should be protected. And LVP jokingly brings up. Well, jokingly, as she wants people to think it's a joke, but she brings up that the there are a bunch of rumors in the tabloids about Mauricio cheating on Kyle. and she brings this up. Kyle's obviously understandably. Like what the fuck and that's kind of Lisa's thing is she kind of like likes to find ways to get back at you where it doesn't like look like she tried to get back at you. Casey: Right. It's very calculated. Like I've known people in my life who do stuff like that where it's like they set it up in a way so that when you tell other people about it, they have a very like clear lane of but that was no it was so like it was this like when Blake: Right. Casey: realistically like, come on, you know what you were doing like, don't play. Blake: And LVP's a smart lady. And she even went further. This was actually, I mean, it's like really funny, like as a viewer, but I mean, I can understand why they'd be like mortified. But so like Portia and Mauricio are about to like go out somewhere. And Porsche's like right by Mauricio. He's like, Alright, well, we'll see you guys like later. And LvP goes, so that's where the younger woman rumors come from. Like joking about her him being with like Portia. it wasn't enough for her to just bring it up. Now she has to like hammer it in. And obviously we've talked about this before on the show. Like part of the issue is bringing it up on camera, you know? Casey: on camera, right? Blake: Breathing life to it. So immediately, like, LVP is getting her lick back with with with Kyle, even though she's allegedly isn't even upset about what Kyle said, but she probably is. Casey: There's a lot of that like leftover from whatever happened since we didn't watch it recently, season three, from whatever happened in season Blake: Yeah. Casey: three, there's a lot of like lingering tension between the Richard sisters and Yolanda and the teams like rough. Blake: I think I know what it is. I remember they were at they were at the Alf Eiffel Tower and I I remember it was basically just Kyle was telling L VP that she just thinks that she is she can be manipulative. So so Lisa's like holding on to that. That's what it was. Sorry to interrupt you, but I just had that like flashback. Casey: But I don't know what their conflict is with Yolanda specifically too because like Kim and Yolanda have Blake: yeah. Casey: beef as well Yeah, like but same like there's issues with Lisa but but this conflict from whatever happened in season three basically leads like I like to separate the teams the teams this season are basically Lvp Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Brandi Yolanda Carlton one side Joyce and the Richard sisters on the other side and like that is because of what comes of season three, but also because Carlton and Kyle hate each other and Joyce and Brandi hate each other, like can't coexist. So like these are the teams, this is way they have to be. Like they can't get over this, but. Blake: Yeah, it's it's actually like amazing casting. Like there's th they they manage to find like several different conflicts in this giant group of women. and another conflict and l another conflict for Kim Richards is that she has adopted a new dog, Kingsley. he is a pit bull. I believe it's a pit bull. Casey: Definitely mixed with a pit bull if not, yeah. Blake: Yeah, like one of those one of those like dogs that Is generally considered to be dangerous, even though obviously it just depends on how you train them. needs a lot of training. and cause like her daughter is about to graduate, go to college, so she's just like kind of having this crisis of living alone and whatever. So she gets this dog, and there's just a bunch of scenes of this dog like basically just walking all over her. She refuses, she doesn't know how to train it, she doesn't know how to deal with it, and she even tells us that like while she was recovering from an nose job the dog broke her nose again because he's just like a young dog that doesn't fucking know how anything and she's over here like me me me I'm Kim Richards Casey: Wait, that's so funny. That happened to my good friend, Jax Taylor as well. He broke his nose while Blake: Yeah. Casey: he was healing from a nose job. Their kinship. My ex- my ex-friend. My former friend. Blake: Your your good friend. The one who has you blocked. Right right, that's we we don't want to touch that one. That one's a really sore subject for you. as we've Casey: No. But no, the dog is crazy. Like there's a scene a little bit later, just like, while we're on the subject of the dog, she hires a dog trainer who like pops by every like so often throughout the, least the first 11 episodes, I've seen him multiple times. So he's, he's stuffing it and like, Blake: yeah, no, it's a serious thing. Casey: and like, it's not good. Like he shows up in the dog. It's like jumping him. He's like Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: manhandling the dog to the ground. Kim is like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: You set off the dog. She's blaming the dog trainer for the dog attacking him. Like she's so stressed out. The dog is half her size and it's taking her down to the ground. It's a situation and like record scratch will break the fourth wall since this is not currently airing. We now know that this dog goes on to attack Kyle's kid. And like that's how this all comes to a head Blake: I Casey: with the dog. and like that causes a rift between the two of them because Kim loves this dog. Loves. Blake: I just like I feel like Kim Richards must have been like an evil like dictator in her past life because why can't she just get a dog and like let that situation Be a positive thing, which it usually is for many people. Instead, like getting a dog turns into like something that worsens her relationship with her sister. Like, you almost just it's like her tagline is so right. Like, we do love a comeback story starring you, Kim. But we'd like to see it though. We would like Casey: Wow. Blake: to see it in action. Anyway, so Kyle, as we said, she is a Maven, she's a business guru. She's Hosting a Chamber of Commerce reception, which also happens to double as Vanderpump Rules promo for Lisa Vanderpump. So Sir is catering Kyle's cocktail party. Lisa tells Kyle that the staff is young and fun, and to you know just be prepare for what you're getting yourself into, which to be fair, like having seen the show, she was being kind. She could have she could have gone further. Casey: Which if you ignore the show is kind of a crazy thing to say as a business owner like to the staff that you're providing for an event like be aware of them like they're They're gonna really cause issues like Okay, great. I'm so glad I hired you like Thanks Can you can you tell them not to do Blake: Yeah. Just be be on alert, be guarded. It's not gonna end well. I I'm like, I can go with someone else if that's gonna be a problem. Are are are they afraid of getting fired? Like are there consequences? She's Casey: hell no, they're getting promoted! Blake: like, no no no, it's encouraged, darling. Casey: Hahaha! Blake: So, that's how Vanderpump Rules was born. and you know, I don't think it's just or ethical to subject anyone, any housewives new season, seas episode one, excited for the season that's about to play out, sitting down watching the episode, and then boom, Sheena Shea. Is on my screen because I didn't tune into that show. I didn't tune in to see her freaking face. And that's what we are subjected to, is Sheena Shea causing her little problems in Kyle Richards' kitchen. and Carlton Jabia arrives. Then we got Carlton Jabiah. So Casey: The Queen. Blake: sh the mother freaking queen of Wicca. Period. She shows up and reveals to us through conversation with the women. That she has three children named Destiny, Cross, and Mystery. Because of course, with an eye with an eye. Casey: Mystery with an I, it's important. It's important that we specify that. Destiny with a Y, regular, cross regular, mystery with an I. Blake: and it's yeah, so so Joyce arrives you know, to know fanfare because nobody really cares. And her freaking Stroopwaffle Dutch husband, Into, and she joins the group, everyone's mingling. Kyle's like making, you know, cocktail conversation with everyone, and she drops that like Lisa Vanderpump was in a movie where she like showed her nipple. And it doesn't sound like it was like necessarily a sexual movie, but like Casey: Right, they're like talking about a porno and like Kyle's like Lisa, like someone is there and they're like, like maybe it's a man or a woman, I can't remember, irrelevant. Someone's there and they said like they once had to do like a porn movie for money or something like they, they like once were in a risque film and Kyle says Lisa Vanderpump's done the same thing like, and she shows three quarters of her nipple. So like she wasn't even really in a porn, like the only thing we got was Blake: Like I No Casey: three quarters of a nipple, like what are we talking about? Blake: Like, was she in one of those like silent films before they like colorized movies and you could like hear them? Like what are we was that like the first fucking porno where everyone had to go to the movie theater to jack off? Because like Casey: Lisa Vander from Stars and First Ever Porno Produce Blake: No, because it's I feel like not that this is even that important of a topic, but like I feel like every fucking housewife has like this past where they were doing like softcore porn, like Bethany Frankel, like now it's fucking LVP. Like everyone's everyone's always like, yeah, you know, before like she became like a businesswoman, Casey: Yeah Blake: she was trying to make it in Hollywood and she showed her nipple. I'm like, what movies are we like they're not porn, but they are kind of like okay. Casey: Well, and Carlton is like really bothered by this, like this detail that's shared. It comes up again later, but she has a confessional like right after Kyle says this and she's like, I'm not sure why Kyle is talking about Lisa's nipple. Like she's really upset about it. Blake: Yeah, you Car Carleton immediately you could tell is just like bristled by everything that Kyle has to say. and also At this, like she does make a very astute observation about Lisa Vanderpump because Lisa, again, you know, she's doing her thing where she's like kind of making her jabs that seem that they're not jabs. And this I think is important just you know, going forward in the season. She says that Lisa Vanderpump likes to insult with a smile to make people think that she's not serious. I think that that will be important moving forward. and Casey: Yeah. Blake: then I think We absolutely could not finish discussing episode one without playing you guys this gorgeous clip. So it's Yolanda Hadid is in bed. I forgot. I'm gonna be honest with you. I think I skipped that season that that scene because I thought that I thought that it was just one of those like filler like, she's getting her breast reduced or whatever. So I'm glad that you caught that. I don't even know why she's in fuck in the hospital bed, but she's literally like literally gasping Casey: Yeah, something's going on. Who cares? Blake: for breath and she's like, just chew a couple almonds if you're feeling weak, Gigi. Casey: I also like how that's all Gigi needed to hear. She goes, I was scared. Okay, thanks. Like, that's all. Let me go get to work on chewing those almonds really well. Like, thanks, mom. Like, I'll talk to you later. okay. Let me get right on that. Blake: She's like I okay good I only had half but it's good to know I can have a couple more Casey: I was a little nervous, but no big deal. And like, Blake: No big deal. Casey: As you said, like, there are like little soft comments between Gigi and Yolanda as Gigi's like coming up in the modeling world. Honestly, Gigi is like lightly a friend of this season. Like, Gigi is in Blake: No, she's ever present. Casey: like half the episodes. She's showing up Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: to dinner, group events. Like, they might as well have given her Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: photo shoot and handed her diamond. Like, I know she was young, but she was ready for it. Blake: We can make it we can make it work. She gets she gets a DUI. I mean she wouldn't be out of place. Casey: No, that's Bella. Blake: fuck. What well what are we fucking gonna What are we Casey: my fucking god! Blake: gonna fucking do now? Fucking shit. Casey: Pfft! Blake: End it! End it! Anyway, episode two Casey: but yeah, episode two a lot happens actually. but back to the Dancing with the Stars storyline, only, we only get it for this episode. This episodes one and two is the only storylines that we get of Dancing with Stars because Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: that's all that it lasts, even though her tagline is dance focus. But episode two, the women go to Dancing with the Stars to watch Lisa Vanderpump. Like they're in the audience, which is pretty common. Like people get to invite their friends, especially cause they want the celebrities in the front row, like for the TV, you know, like The stars friends are also stars. So, but at the show, Lisa Blake: Performing for the stars. Casey: is, know, dancing around with Gleb and like they pan to the group that she Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: has there. And the housewives are in the front row, like Kyle, Kim, Brandy. I don't think Carlton and Joyce are there. Cause like we haven't like really established that yet. Yolanda and Ken and Pandy row two. Like they are behind the housewives. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: I just feel like. That kind of speaks volumes. Lisa was like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: no, my family, second row, Kim Richards and Yolanda, Blake: Not you Kias. Casey: the front. And they watch her and yeah, this is the only time they'll get to do so because she basically, I'll give you the scene, not in chronological order, because it's at the end of episode two, but Lisa. faints and during Dancing with the Stars rehearsal and it's like this whole thing where like, you know, on the show it's edited for her to be like, I don't know if I can go on tonight. Like, I'm so sick. Like, and she goes on, she's such a hero. Like, Lisa's made it here tonight. But then right after she makes it that night, she's like, I like can't be on Dancing with the Stars. Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: And Kyle and Kim. watch this happen. Like we watch Kyle and Kim watch this happen on regular TV. So let's enjoy. Blake: Okay, can you describe the faint to the viewers, to the listeners? Casey: mean, they're barely moving. They're practicing a very slow turn. They're not even really fully dancing. as Gleb kind of goes to spin her or move her, Lisa, still holding onto Gleb's hand, slowly falls down, face looking peaceful, zen, still holding onto his hand limply, she lays down, basically. It looks like someone trying to fake faint want to really commit to it because that's what's happening basically so Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: she like doesn't want to actually hurt herself so she like lays down gently and pretends like it's a faint Blake: Ha ha. Casey: is what it gives and kyle and kim are watching this like in kyle's like home theater like they're they're watching the dancing with the stars episode and they go back and they play it in slow motion and they're like shouldn't she have let go of his hand? Shouldn't her arm have gone limp if she really was fainted? And Kim's like, and when people faint, don't they usually wake up and they feel shocked? She wasn't shocked. So they, and Kim kind of clocks her down. She immediately is like, that was fake and Lisa just doesn't want to be on Dancing with the Stars anymore. She is tired. Blake: Well and she made it clear. She made it clear. She was like, you know, this is this has been kicking my ass. It's like every day. It's exhausting. She actually looks snatched as fuck. I mean, like she's like body tea. Casey: I mean, it's hard. The people that go on Dancing with the Stars get fit every single season. They are training. If they're gonna make it far and they're serious about it, you're gonna get fit. Dancing is hard, and they're doing extreme. It's not even going from zero experience to, beginner level ballroom dance. You're going from zero experience to professional ballroom dance moves. So you're getting spun around, you're moving all around. It's nuts. It's not for the faint of heart. Blake: It's hours a day too. And it's it's the pressure of also like having to perform a new dance in front of people and you're not a dancer, but you're dancing with someone who is a dancer. But I will say the fainting thing for me is cause we will, you know, get to you in the in the clip, like Kyle and and Kim are both kind of a little bit like, What the hell? Like that doesn't look like kosher or whatever. So like there's a little bit of skepticism and Just knowing who LVP is, she is exactly the kind of person who needs a scapegoat for why she didn't make it further. So like, I fainted, I'm tired, I th you know, I just can't do this anymore. That is exactly she was setting herself up to be able to like get eliminated. And then be like, well it was clearly because it's just so taxing and it's so hard, not because I am bad at dancing or I did worse in the competition. Like Lisa is a schemer. Casey: Right. And it's funny because like we open episode two with like them watching her dance and we close episode two with her fainting and like then we like find out like the next couple episodes that she's done like and they the women talk about it but in like the in the middle of all of this happening as always as we're all Housewives fans here you know we're among friends this is a safe place we we all Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: know the like structure of like you know a couple duo lunches a couple trios like a group lunch and then like different groups to make sure they have ample opportunity to talk shit about whoever is it at whatever event. But a couple of these happen like, you know, in in editing sequence, like we kind of move back and forth and Kyle invites Joyce and Carlton over. And that's, you know, that's our little one of our trio lunches. And then at the same time, Lisa invites Yolanda and Brandy over Kim. Kim left off the invite list for this lunch round, but you know, they're like dueling Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: little moments here, but the Kyle, Joyce Carlton lunch, and I think Kyle's like, he a friend is there too. It's like not important, but it is Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: so funny because this is where like it becomes clearly established for the rest of the season that Carlton and Kyle absolutely hate each other. Like they could not hate each other more, honestly. They go over there and this is like their first time ever really hanging out beyond the fake Chamber of Commerce dinner. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: And you know, they're sitting down outside, like everyone's kind of chatting and Carlton is like trying to like tell them, this story about her son and a cat and a bird. Like her son saw a bird with a cat or like, I don't know. And Kyle like in the middle of her telling this story about the cat is like. Well, I'm gonna go get some wine. Like I'm going inside. Like I'll be I'm gonna go get the wine and come back. And Carlton really doesn't like this. I mean, it is rude. Like Blake: Ha ha. Casey: she interrupts her mid story. Like she literally is like, well, let's get the wine and let's start having a drink. Like and Carlton's like, okay, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: but what about my story about the bird? Like, are you fucking serious right now? And you know, Carlton still persists. She tries to carry on and like, at one point, you know, they settle in, Kyle gets the wine and she's like, Carlton like to trying to make small talk with her and Joy. She's like, how did you guys meet your husbands? And Carlton is like, I was at the club and me and my girlfriends were dancing and with my soon to be husband and these other girls came up in front of us and punched my friend in the face. So then I punched her in the face and we got in this brawl and it turned my husband on and he liked my anger. me punching these women and Kyle is like, what? Like what? Like you can Blake: Yeah. Casey: just tell that Kyle is not feeling her like Kyle is not having it and Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: then Joyce goes after Carlton and it's like I met him at a picturesque beach and it was love at first sight and he's my soulmate and I have never met a man like this man like so like the the contrast and Kyle's like that's beautiful Joyce like I love that story Joyce like that's so amazing so like everyone's getting along Kyle Joyce and her random friend and not Carlton, it's like there's a clear, like, a disconnect. Blake: Wait, so so the two business owners aren't getting along? So the Casey: No. Not at all. Blake: the the woman who attended the the Chamber of Commerce reception, which is how she met the other business owner, Kyle Richards, is not getting along with Kyle Richards, the business owner who owns a business? Casey: It's truly shocking. They had so much in common. But what really, I think, seals the nail in the coffin, and I think Carlton would like that imagery, our spooky queen, Kyle and Joyce, they seem like, they really feel like allies. They're always pointing out things between them that they are similar. Kyle's like, me and Joyce are both allergic to bees. And it's like, okay, we don't care. But a bee flies Blake: Alright girl. Casey: into this awkward lunch that's not going well. And Kyle's like, my God, bees are allergic. Like, my Kia friend, kill the bee, kill the bee. The Kia kills the bee with like a candle. my God, Carlton is so mad. Like she is aghast at them killing this bee. like, what are you talking about? Like, why'd you have to kill it? We're sitting in the bee's environment. Like, why would you kill the bee? Like that's messed up. I would have moved it to the bush. And Kyle goes. I would have died. Okay, you would not have died. Like, first of all, the bee wasn't even near you. Like, calm the hell down. Blake: The B wasn't trying to come for you. Casey: And Carleton is so disgusted. Like, she is like, she's sick Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: to her stomach and the women like can't take her serious. Like, they don't take her outrage seriously. Like, they are all like, they're laughing at her. The other three women, Kia, Joyce and Kyle. like, honestly, Blake: Ha ha. Casey: they hate to see an insightful, empathetic queen like Carleton considering the bees feelings. As a whimsical girl myself, as someone who talks to animals when I walk around just to say in case they know what I'm saying, I stand with her. Blake: Right. Sometimes you just gotta say what's up and Casey: And they're being mean, like God forbid someone doesn't want you to kill an animal, like that's- people have that opinion, like obviously you can think it's dumb, but like, you don't know this woman, you don't get to Blake: Kyle Kyle Casey: laugh at her. Blake: No and Kyle Richards just always has like mean high school leader of the clique vibes, I feel, when it comes to a lot of a lot of like women. I don't think she knows how to be a girls girl in that sense, if that makes sense. Casey: No, I think so too. And like, you know, it's just not a connection. And the same ends up being true for Joyce and Brandy, but that takes a second. And yeah, I mean, I think like we're kind of like trying to build up these friendships. And Blake said it earlier, but we were talking about this before the episode and like casting did such a good job. This is what we always need to do. We need to focus on creating hateful duos. two people that will absolutely hate the living shit out of each other and there is no chance of them getting along because it creates such fun because it's such synergy because Kyle and Joyce are similar. So that means that Joyce and Carlton are also not gonna get along and same thing with Carlton and Brandy Blake: Yeah. Casey: are similar which means Brandy and Kyle also aren't gonna get along. So we have this perfect little conflict square. We don't even need the other women. I mean we do, but Blake: No, it's Casey: we don't. Blake: it's very true. The other women they add their little nuances, but we do have like very clearly defined issues and allies and foes. so episode three is when the women get to actually for the first time experience Carlton's castle manor, whatever you wanna call it. They're on their way to Carlton just hosting a lunch and you know, you know, hey everyone, we're new friends, you know, you gotta come over to my place. The obligatory see my house, so bravo can show you how rich I am. these women go everywhere in like a fucking limo or a fucking like bus limo. Like they don't travel casually ever. So they're driving over to her her castle on the hill and in the the bus limo thing it Brandy is Brandy is basically mentioning that she like wasn't sure if L VP really fainted and Kim and Kyle were both like wait like same because like it was not giving real. and so when they get to Carlton's Brandy for some reason feels that that's like a good thing to tell Lisa. Like we were all Gabbing about how we didn't believe that you fainted. but everyone like backs off of this. Like I th everyone is so afraid of Lisa. It's actually like hilarious. Like the Casey: It is true. Blake: like Kyle, Kim, Brandy, all in the in the car ride over are like there's just no way that was real. And the minute it's brought up, it's like not even talked about for like three minutes because Lisa does this thing where she's like, What do I have to get out of faint faking my fainting? That's ridiculous. And then everyone is like, no, no, I didn't say that. I didn't say that. Like, she just has like an iron grip on the women. But more importantly, Kyle asks Carlton, you know, because there are cross. Decorating everything around her room her her home. She's like, Were you raised, you know, Catholic? And Carlton is like immediately so offended, she's like, I would never ask someone my you know what religion they were just upon meeting them. And I'm like, okay, well, you literally have like a confessional like in your house, like there's crosses everywhere. I think that's a bit ridiculous. But then Kyle asks Carlton, Have you ever explored with witchcraft? Because she's talking about being Wicca and all these things. And again, she's mad, but it this time she's mad because she thinks Kyle is like trying to embarrass her. Like she doesn't think she has good intentions with her question. Casey: agree with you though. Blake: I honestly like Yeah, 'cause this this question, not the Catholic question, but this question, Casey: No. Blake: I feel like she can't take that concept seriously. Like she's too immature to even like be able to respect that someone could even Casey: Yes. Blake: like to even like open her mind to like, what does that entail? It's like clo Casey: Yes, that's exactly what it is. Every time she asks, she like pretends like it's a genuine question, but the tone is like, tell us about that. it's that type of thing that calculated like, I was genuinely asking, like, I wanted to know more Blake: Yeah. Casey: about her religion. Like, no, you were setting it up in a way that you were hoping that she would answer honestly, and it would make her look dumb without you having to do anything. And that's not. Blake: Yeah, like you you wanted people to like laugh at your question a little bit, like, have you ever experimented with witchcraft? so Carlton actually says that she was you know, her her grandma was Wicca, her mom was a psychic, and she says Not again. She doesn't really Casey: again. That clip is relatable. Like I've practiced dark. I have. Blake: We've all we've all been at a point in our life where we return to the dark side and then we end up having children and we realize never again. Never again. So so Casey: And then not again. No, no, I only practice late. Blake: Just to give you a sense of the dynamic between these women, Brandy and Carlton are really hitting it off. They kind of both have like a very similar like aesthetic vibe in terms of they're both like skinny, like flat stomach, thin legs, just like kind of bombshell, but like different fonts, but like Yeah. Casey: a little free-spirited, Blake: And so like Everything Kyle is saying is like stepping on a landmine, but like Brandy at at their lunch table like says like, yeah, Carlton's like really cunty. Like she's she's like a cunt, but like she's saying it in like a very like brandy way. And everyone's like, my god, and Carlton's like, I hate that word, but I love when Brandy says it. So it's just very clear like we're getting this just like synergy between certain women. Some women are just I hate this bitch and there's nothing she could say that's gonna change my mind because Kyle is pissing her off left and right. And then Brandy feels the need to bring up the tabloid rumor again. So that just further kind of gives you the sense that this is gonna be something that comes up a lot and perhaps even maybe like L V P might have had a hand in having Brandy bring it up so we can keep it alive. We don't know, but that's what's happening. Casey: Right. And Brandi, this continues to be an issue. Obviously, like as it is for any housewife that gets rumors brought up about their husband cheating on them, it's gonna be an issue for them forever, basically. It's never not gonna be Blake: Ha ha. Casey: an issue. But Brandi, when she talks about like bringing this up at the event and bringing it up to Kyle, like she says, I did it to like give her a heads up. Like I was trying to be like, these rumors are coming out, like it's gonna be in the press, everyone's talking about it. And she says like, we were all talking about it behind her back. So I figured I might as well let her know what's out there and we might as well just bring it up in front of the group. I do, again, the camera, on camera of it all, kind of negates that, but that's Brandi's defense. And Kyle does not see it this way. A TMZ reporter goes up to Brandi in public and is like, Kyle Richards says you're a bully. You're bullying her about her marriage. What do you have to say about the comments that you're a bully? And Brandi is pissed because it got brought up in front of her children that she got called a bully in front of her kids. It's very sensitive to her. And Kyle's like, never called you that. And Brandi's like, I never was bullying you. I was trying to help you. It's all this dumb, dumb fight. when Brandi tries to bring it up, like she says something, because Brandi and Kim are close. Like, so that creates like an awkward thing whenever Brandi and Kyle fight. And Brandi's like, can I bring it up to Kyle? And Kim's like, absolutely not. Kim then goes to Kyle and says Brandi was talking about it again after telling her she was not allowed to talk to Kyle about it. So Kim Kim kind of screws her over. like they all keep fighting about this. There's an event where Kim like takes them to circus school and they like are learning like light trapeze skills and this is what's going on in the background. And it's all dumb, but amidst this all, Joyce kind of tries to make her, make her way into the conflict. Like there's enough conflict going on. We've got Kyle and Carlton already beefing, like Brandy's about to start killing Joyce. She doesn't even know it yet. So the conflict's coming for Blake: Yeah. Casey: her. She doesn't even need to do this. But while, you know. Kyle's fighting with Brandi, Kim's kind of like still beefing with Yolanda weirdly from whatever happened. Joyce is like, Lisa, Lisa Vanderpump, can I pull you for a second? And LVP's like, what the fuck, like sure, like what do we have to talk about right now? Like while everyone's arguing. And they like step aside. And Joyce has some grievance about like she touched Lisa Vanderpump's hair and like tried to fix it for her. And Lisa Vanderpump was like, whoa, like I'm good, like you don't need to fix my hair for me, like stop. Blake: Yeah. Casey: Like, and Joyce tries to make this into like some conflict. She's like, you were so dismissive of me and so disrespectful and like you were snippy. And LVP is like, listen, listen, girly, like, I don't, I don't have the time for this. Like, let's go sit back down. Like this is, this is really fucking weird. Blake: Yeah. Casey: she has no, no patience for this. And it is really weird. Like it's really dumb. There's so much other stuff going on. made no sense for her to do this, but they sit back down and Joyce is like, yeah guys, we cleared the air. And everyone's like, on what? Like what were you guys fighting about? Blake: What problem Casey: And Lisa, Lisa's like, I don't know. Like I'm not quite sure what air was cleared. Like I was all good, but whatever Joyce thinks. But Brandi, Brandi kind of jumps in to end her. So let's, let's roll this tape. And this is a common thing Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: this season of Brandi saying like actually like insane things to Joyce and Lisa Vanderpump bursting out laughing every single time like they don't like her like Blake: Yeah. Casey: the only people that really like Joyce and I'm not even sure if it's really the only people that like and or tolerate Joyce are the Richard sisters like the rest of them Do not fucks with Joyce at all She's annoying Blake: Joyce is annoying. Like she ha she has a very like radically unapologetic this is me. I can st I can be loud and obnoxious and whatever, like and it's like it's just oblivious to how hard she's trying, I think, to like be liked and be like funny or be like relatable. And Brandy brings this up too later, but like she doesn't understand that she always comes across as being like braggadocious about her life Casey: Yeah. Blake: and how it's always like someone's talking about something and she has to like one up them and it might even be subconscious. But she's just she's one of those people where it's just like she'll say something and you look you kind of give them side eye and go like, okay, like cool. Casey: No, it's like she's kind of flopping while Carlton to me is rising. She cracks me up. Like Blake: absolutely. Casey: there's this scene, Kyle and Carlton like continuously try to like figure something out between the two of them, even though it's never gonna happen. But Kyle invites her out shopping, right? Right when they get there, Carlton is like, I have some things I need to discuss with you. Like you do not like. rubbed me the right way. Like, I don't like you, basically. And she goes, I have a couple things to say. And she starts with... You brought up Lisa's nipple the first time we met. The Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: nipple is back. This is why we have to circle back. The three fourths nipple, Carlton is upset about Lisa's nipple. so that's number one. She offended her with the nipple. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Number two, my story about the cat and the bird, you interrupted. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Grievance number two. Grievance number three, my wicked beliefs. You don't respect them. And Kyle is like, okay, anything else? is there, what else do we have? And Carlton's like, let me think. There's probably more, but I think this is it for right now. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: And it's like what a list what a list nipple cat bird story we can beliefs These are these are where Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: we've crossed the line with Carlton and Kyle says that Carlton is like looking for issues She keeps using this expression tits on an ant She says it like multiple times throughout the season like Carlton's looking for tits on an ant. I'm like, okay Don't be weird Kyle. Don't make it weird Blake: Okay, congrats on making up a s a a metaphor, whatever the fuck analogy. Casey: Right. And they agree to like move on, move forward. Kyle like apologizes for these three things and they're like, let's move on. But obviously neither one of them has moved on. Like they just can't. It's not going to happen. Spoiler alert. They are not going to get along. And yeah, this is like how we go into everything, like into their like first cast trip. Joyce invites them to Palm Springs, her weird husband, like does something with houses, like stages the furniture, or like chooses them for movies. I don't know, it's something to do with property. And this is like a property that he had like scoped out. So they're staying there for the weekend or for whatever, however long. And the whole time they're on this trip, Brandy does not remember Joyce's name. Well, she does remember her name, but she also doesn't. She keeps calling her Jacqueline. And she says it's because Joyce isn't a Latina name. Joyce reminds me of a name. of a chubby person or Mrs. Claus. And this is like the first thing she says about it. And like, honestly, like I Blake: Yeah. Casey: do understand that. It's like when you meet somebody hot and their name is like Bertha or like Olga, it's like, wait, that doesn't really fit you. Right, Blake: It's like how did that happen? Casey: you should change that to something hot, like, cause you're hot. That's kind of what she's saying. Blake: Yeah. Casey: It's like a compliment in like a weird way, but also making it racial is weird with like the Latin, like Jacqueline isn't Latin. I don't Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: know. And this is the whole trip. And she says in a confessional, like, sometimes I actually don't remember her name, and sometimes I just do it to annoy her. So like, it's on purpose. But this causes a big issue shortly at dinner. like, know, Brandy Joyce is going on, Carlton, Kyle, Carlton's beliefs. But Carlton does try to like explain a little bit more about her religion. And I just this isn't even like necessary, but I do want to play this clip of Kim reacting to Carlton's beliefs Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: Woo! Blake: Okay, but Casey: Ahem. Blake: in that clip the way that Kyle says it is is the Wicca. Like she Casey: The Wicker. Blake: she's like it's like, this weird, different, strange thing that we're all pretending Casey: And you can almost like you can almost hear it in her voice like everyone you hear that the Wicca like what's going on here? I Know what a what a multifaceted Blake: Yeah. Yeah, everyone hear that? It's weird and strange, right? Like Casey: clip we get Kim's beautiful confessional and an example of Kyle being a judgmental bitch cuz honestly like that's what it is at the end of the day like if it was any other religion like she'd be canceled like just because she's saying something that not everybody knows about like if Carlton was like I'm a Muslim and Kyle was doing this like Blake: Ooooo the a la Casey: Like, you know, like it's just, it's like any other thing, you should just respect people's beliefs if they want to. It's their life. Like it's really not your business. Blake: Right. It's also she's so sheltered and again I she just has mean girl high school tendencies. Like it comes out, I feel like Carlton was one of the people who like really clocked it. I think that's part of why Beverly Hills today is just not a good show because she like is the the head cheerleader who like dictates how everything has to go and I actually think L VP was a good counterweight to that. And once she left Went to shit. But Carlton, good on you. Casey: No, it's true. And, you know, like this, these are all like the common themes of this trip. But there's one point, this is an important moment in the Brandi Blake: my god. Casey: Joyce saga, because basically, they're all like hanging out by the pool. They're having like a little pool, a little pool day, girly pool day, everyone's hanging out. And this is just a pure, like I said, the team of LVP Brandi Yolanda Carlton. That's the team that I'm on and that's the team that I'd want to be on because they absolutely obliterate Joyce every single chance they can get. It starts before Brandi kind of takes it to a place that we don't really want to take it to. It starts with, you know, there's a couple of people in the water. Brandi and Carlton are in the water. They've kissed like a couple of times. It's like, whatever's going on with that. We don't know. I think like maybe somebody else is in the water, but Yolanda is not in the water. And she's like sitting on a chair and she goes like, Joyce, why aren't you in the pool? And Joyce is like, I don't Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: want to go in the pool. I'm not really feeling like swimming. And Yolanda's like, it's your party, Joyce. You need to get in the pool. You wanted us all to come here. And Joyce is like, I don't want to swim. I don't want to swim. And Yolanda's like, that's really weird. This is your party. And Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Joyce is like, you get in, Yolanda. Why do I have to get in? And Yolanda's like. Well, when it's my party, I will get in and I will lead the party, but it's not my party. You need to get in the pool. Blake: This Dutch accent is killing me. Casey: And there's like now this like whole group narrative of like Joyce get in the pool. Everyone is like, Blake: Hehehehe Casey: Carlton is like, in the pool Joyce, like what do you do? Like, why aren't you in the pool? And Kyle's like, stop peer pressuring Joyce. Joyce Blake: Yeah. Casey: ends up saying, I actually like, I actually can't swim. To which Brandy decides to say, of course you can't swim. You're a black person. Blake: Right. See Casey: So first of all, actually, I don't even know where to start. There's so many things wrong. First of all, is Joyce a black person? Let's start here. Because she claims to Blake: She's not. Casey: be, and she says this like right after Brandy says this, she goes, I'm Puerto Rican, which means I'm black, I'm Indian, and I'm Spanish. Can we get a fact check on this? Blake: That's just not true. I mean, I don't know, like I actually weirdly enough did have a coworker once who was Puerto Rican and like would fight with everyone in the office saying that he's black. and everyone was like, You just don't like look black and he was like, I am and like he was explaining to me like something about Puerto Rican like history or I I honestly it wasn't super clear to me, but like I think there might be some like heritage or lore that is passed down Casey: Right. That's what I thought she was like referring to. I don't know the breakdown. She says I am black. Blake: But she does say I'm black. Like she does say I'm black. Casey: And she says it like verbatim in that exact way of being Puerto Rican means you're black, you're Indian and you're Spanish. Like that's that's how she describes it. whatever, question mark, we'll keep it moving along, question mark. Blake: I don't know about that. Casey: But also, regardless of how she looks, this is obviously not a right thing to say. In any context to anyone, Blake: Like brandy. Brandy. Casey: this should never be uttered. And it's like awkward, but Blake: This is Casey: like nobody really says anything. She is able to be like later on, pretty quickly after this happens, she's like, I definitely shouldn't have said that. And right after it, she like, this isn't really remorse, but she's like, I shouldn't have said that. But if I had said it, I have so many black friends, if I had said it with my black friends, they would have laughed. Okay, so you can't say that either. So you just made it worse. Blake: Right, so that's not helping. Casey: Whatever she eventually like does apologize for it and it's not like she like tries to stand on it when it comes up later. But moving along, the same conflict is is repeated throughout the entire trip. Like Brandi is wasted and hates Joyce. It is target acquired. She is on Joyce's ass like and she continues to call her Jacqueline. And at dinner at one point, she calls her. She says, Joyce. And then Joyce is like, that's really similar to a name I was called when I was a kid, when I was bullied. And Brandi gets really mad about that. I don't know why she's very, she doesn't like to be called a bully. That is really a trigger word for her this season. Yeah, it's not, Blake: Trigger point for her. Yeah. Casey: she doesn't like that. So that made her upset. She continues to call her, I think she calls her Jacqueline like at least seven times this episode. Like it's offensive. But roll the tape of what she goes next. can see that. Blake: She is wasted out of her goddamn mind. And it's funny, I feel like she's it's like she gets drunk so quickly, but she just she will continue drinking. And it's like I'm Shocked that your body can handle all that alcohol because it doesn't even seem like you need that alcohol to be drunk. You're already so drunk, but then she's like guzzling, you know, a bottle of wine and she keeps dr like I she has a a glass in her hand the entire episode that she's drinking from, and I'm like, How are you this little like skinny inny mini little woman? How are you not? Casey: Yeah, probably not eating a ton either. Blake: No, probably not. How are you not on your ass? How are you not throwing up? Like Casey: I mean, but you can hear it in her voice and like because of what she said Blake: yeah. Casey: earlier, like because of what she said about Joyce's name, like not fitting her, that's what she's saying. Like she's not calling Joyce a big fat pig, like as a person. She's saying the name Joyce Blake: no. Casey: means like that's to her what she imagines when she hears the name Joyce. And she Blake: Right. Casey: tries to like drunkenly right after she says it, she's like, I don't like the name Brandy. Like she says it in like this like crazy voice. Blake: Ha ha Casey: And you're like. right when she said that I was like, she's like off her fucking rocker. Like this is she's gone. like, Blake: She's gone. So Casey: thankfully, she's so gone that the conflict has to move to somebody else because she's probably not speaking words at a point. Blake: She's not understanding how to express what she's thinking. Like, she's not saying you're a big fat pig, Joyce. She's saying your name sounds like that. Which I'm sure Joyce doesn't Casey: Joyce is a big fat pig. Blake: Joyce doesn't want to hear either of those things. But like, that's she's not able to convey it. so anyway, Kyle kind of like brings up the topic with Yolanda of, you know, you said this, no, I didn't, blah, blah, Casey: Yeah. Blake: blah. And Yolanda is kind of just over it and she's like, You have bigger fish to fry in your life, girl. Like Which I kind of thought was a little bit shady, but I th but Kyle agrees. Like she's like, No, you're right, like with the Mauricio cheating rumors and stuff, like I look I look Casey: Right, that is a little bit shady. It's a way to bring it back up. Blake: right. I look he was like, Well, no, she doesn't have to deal with that 'cause it's fake. But if you're bringing it up, like it's kind of in implying maybe Casey: Ooh, yeah, she kind of like caught her there like in like a like, that what she was trying to like be like, you have stuff going on, don't you? And if Kyle didn't say no. Blake: Yeah. Like deal with that. And then Kyle's like, You're right. You're right. I do have bigger things. Like, let's just move on from this. And I was like, that's like weirdly like Casey: to you. Yeah. Blake: mature of you, because I feel like that was shady. So Brandy isn't done being involved in conflict. Yolanda and Kyle are trying to figure their shit out, Brandy then in in intrudes into the problem and basically like starts shit with Kyle, because she's like, if you've a problem with Yolanda, you've a problem with me. Kyle is like, What the fuck? And Brandy's kind of being a little bit of a of a bitch to her. So Casey: Yeah, she's really drunk at this dinner. I would say this is probably the drunkest she has all season, to be honest. Blake: she was w wasted. So she's like, you know, basically she's saying a bunch of bullshit. Kyle gets up from the table and leaves and is crying and is trying to console Kyle and a b she's trying to console Kyle. I guess she like accidentally closed the door in Kim's face and then Kim turns on L V P and is like, I've had enough of you trying to control me and tell me what to do. Like this is just one of those groups Casey: Whole house mad. Blake: No, literally I feel like this is like such this is the the platonic ideal of a housewives trip, but it's like everyone is stepping on everyone's toes accidentally and everyone's like gun to you, gun to you, like Casey: Right, there's active conflict, there's past conflict, there's new conflict. Like, we are getting it in any direction. It goes stale for 30 seconds and someone's like, wait, I have something I wanna get to with this one. Blake: Actually I'm pissed off that you happened to wash my clothes when I was w it's like z n absolute Casey: Like it's like a moment of peace? No. Blake: nonsense. Like and then then to top it all off, Brandy and Carlton are lessing the fuck out in the pool. which of course. they're letting out hardcore in the pool because duh. And Brandy gets a call from someone who's like watching her home while she's gone. And Casey: Yeah, like her nanny or something. Blake: And basically her home was broken into, and they can't find her dog, Chica. and everyone's like consoling her. Obviously, she's crying, she's distraught, and Joyce makes a comment where she looks at like Kyle and she's like, I've lost a dog before. Like, I think she was saying that just to be like, It sucks. But in that moment, like Brandy, it just triggered her to just be like, It's not a fucking competition, Joyce. 'cause like that's the running thing with Joyce is that everything sort of does seem like she She has to have like her own personal attachment to everything, like Casey: Well, like in Brandi's defense in the moment too, like Joyce doesn't like say like, I've lost a dog before. So like, get it. And I can really be like, she doesn't like finish the sentence. Like she doesn't even try to make it Blake: She doesn't. Casey: sound like it's not just to like bring up her. She literally just goes, I lost a dog. Sentence end. Like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: why did you not even try to relate it back to Brandi? Like why, why say that? Blake: No right. Casey: So to be fair, I would have also been like, and like, how does that help me? Like. Blake: Cool and it sucks, so shut up like Casey: Right, like she could have at least been like, so I promise like I'm gonna help you through every step of the way, because I understand it. to turn, like that's what people do when they want attention, but they still try to bring it back to the source. Blake: Yeah. Casey: She could have at least done that. No, she literally just like whispers like, I lost a dog before. Okay. Blake: I've lost a dog too. It's okay. And then we get this amazing I it's like blink and you'll miss it, but I've Casey: Yeah Blake: this Kim is trying to console Randy and it's so funny. Casey: Chica! Blake: like Kim trying to help her and she's like on her phone trying to like get a ride home because she's like I need to leave and she's like chica girl like Casey: Come on, Blake: then we move on to the next episode where this one has a lot of David Foster in it, and I personally cannot stand David Foster. He's Casey: He sucks. Wait, why is, I never like, it's not like I ever liked him. It's not like ever was like, yay, here he is. But watching Blake: Yeah. Casey: this episode, I was like, what a loser. He's so into himself. He needs praise so often. And this is not the first time that we've been at a Foster-Hadid dinner party on Beverly Hills. they say this on this episode in season four, but they've said it before, we like to have music at our parties. We love to. entertain and like because David is like a Musician and like record producer what I don't even really care like he's in the music world But so they always have Blake: Yeah. Casey: like random like clients of his pull up to sing for them and like one time it was like Andrea Bocelli which like obviously like that's pretty fucking sick like that's That's insane. You're not going to have that experience Blake: Yeah. Casey: anywhere else. Like that's that's awesome. This time it's just like some like a cappella group of like four boys. Like, I mean, maybe they're big. Maybe Blake: Ha ha. Casey: I'm maybe I'm about to offend a fan base that I don't know about. But honestly, it's like, no, you don't love to have music at your parties. You like praise for the clients that you rep and you want them on Beverly Hills Housewives. Blake: And you wanna and you want to also be the one playing the piano for them, going, Look, like Casey: a hundred percent. Blake: I'm involved in this like you wanna commandeer your wife's dinner party for the show that she is on with the women that she's on the show with Casey: Right. But you also want to present this image of like that you're so famous and like so connected. But if you were, you wouldn't need to be like having your clients sing a tune on on Beverly Hills Housewives episode, episode eight. Blake: No, I I he's so condescending. He is such an asshole. The way he even talks to Yolanda and the way that Yolanda like submits to him also, I'm like, this guy fucking sucks. And it's not like you're nobody, you know what I mean? Like it's like almost just like, ugh, I can't stand him. But this dinner party is important for what it reveals about the divisions in the group. Casey: It does. And one notable thing is that Carlton cannot make it. She's sick. this, which this is insane that this offends the Hadid fosters because Yolanda is sick all the time. Like she should understand like somebody calling out. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: But they're they're mad that she did it so close to the event. Like David is like, wouldn't she have known she was sick before 630? Like, God, he's so annoying. But why I mentioned this is because she still has a name tag and who takes her seat but our friend of Gigi Hadid. She is at the dinner. She's an attendee. Like she's basically on the season. But Yolanda, when they get to the dinner, Kyle identifies something interesting. Blake: She was so excited to exclude half of them. Casey: Well, and what's funny is like they've been talking about this for like a minute and a half before this clip plays like of Yolanda saying the dream team. So she almost just like gives into it because Kyle is like so annoyed. obviously like. You know, it's a little annoying. It's probably something that you would let go if you weren't on a show that was like about conflict. You'd probably just not say anything if you were a regular Blake: Right. Casey: person. But Kyle's like, what is this? What's going on? Who has a heart? Who doesn't? Like she's like interrogating everyone's name tags. And at first Yolanda's like, OK, Kyle, like this isn't a thing. Like, come on. Like it obviously wasn't on purpose. Like I just it must have been subconscious. Like, I'm sorry. And then this clip comes and I think she's like, you know what? Fine. Like, yes, that is my team, the dream team. Like if you want to put me in that corner, Blake: Ha ha Casey: then I guess I'll just own it. And like that is that that's who I like. Like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: and she says, she says to Kyle right after this clip, she's like, Kyle, we just got back on good terms. You think you're getting a heart on your name tag? And Kyle's like, okay, like I guess I have to earn it. And like that's that is what it is. But just Just like I identified, they know the teams just like we do. there are clear teams Blake: No literally. Casey: and that just shows our astute powers of observation on the Mention All Again podcast because we're correct about the teams, even though they revealed them to us. A dream team. Even Joyce being like, there's teams Blake: My team the dream team Casey: and she's still cracking up. She's like, like, yeah. I know Gigi Blake: She's like, I wouldn't expect you to pick me. Casey: was getting her life. two seats down. She was like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: but I love that clip. What a useful sound bite. mean, a great Yolanda moment. She, that is really funny of her. Like it's even funnier than I remember. Blake: She's also really giving she's also really giving Robin like the pop artist this entire season 'cause she has that like she has that like slicked back, like blonde, Dutch hair. Casey: my God, this is pulling behind the curtain really quick for the viewers. Blake wrote this down in his notes for the episode that she looks like Robin. And I thought you meant Robin Dixon. And I was like, I'm not really seeing that Blake. And I deleted it. Cause I was like, I think he's kind Blake: I Casey: of like, I'm not really like seeing the connection between her and Robin Dixon. Like I feel like maybe he was like drunk when he wrote that. Like, like Robin Dixon. I didn't even think Robin the singer. Blake: Why did I write that? I definitely was, but Casey: I was like, I'm not getting that one. Blake: I definitely wrote it and I was like I was like I I like I know this is a housewife but like she'll know what I'm talking about because like they're both like I don't know northern European or whatever. Casey: literally did not even cross my mind. was like, Blake: Then when I said it, I saw you like go not not Real Housewives of Potomac Black Robin but Casey: I'm like, I didn't get that. I didn't get that from her. I don't know. I trust Blake's powers of observation. Maybe I missed it. Like, I don't know what the Robin Dixon connection was. I don't. Blake: like I'm like trying to find a single way that could be spun. That's Casey: I literally was like, okay, like, moving on. Blake: not really necessary to bring up. that's interesting. Casey: Well, But it is, I honestly do kind of like it though, like her little like, it's like her hair is like tussled up but like swooped back. I'm not Blake: Yeah Casey: sure how she really achieves it to be honest. Maybe I should try and do that Blake: I don't either, it's giving Euro summer. Casey: to my hair for the next... Blake: I think that would be amazing. Casey: That would be so- I would look at- we'd lose every viewer we have. Like, they'd be like, my god, I'm never coming back. She looks so bad, like, holy- holy hell. Blake: Everyone would switch to the the audio the audio format. We can't watch a YouTube video anymore. Anyway, next Casey: But that's that from the foster dinner. Blake: episode we'd get this incredible of course once again, because Lisa's really pushing it with us, the Sir crossover where we're getting a dinner party thrown by Lisa Vanderpomp at Sir. waited on, catered by the Sur employees. And basically at this dinner, Brandy and Joyce are supposed to be making up, but Joyce Calls Brandy a bully and says she's been bullied. And that word, as you said earlier, really triggers Brandy. She she hates being called a bully. She's like, I didn't bully you. Joyce also kind of implies that like she's racist because of what she said about you know being black and swimming. Casey: black people comment and like specifically like her like not remembering her name which like is a little bit racist. And like it would be anyways, Blake: Well definitely. And Casey: but the way that Brandi frames it of like your name should be more Latina like it should be Jacqueline like Blake: Okay girl. Yeah. and and her husband is there at this dinner and her Joyce's husband is obviously getting involved saying that if someone has an issue with, you know, my wife, they have an issue with me and Brandy decides to tell Joyce that like they their two mutual friends don't speak highly of her. and she's like upset that Joyce took advice about Lisa being sensitive and twisted it to be like, you know, she can give it but she can't take it. So there's like, you know, they're just hashing their issues out. This is not a conversation that is going in the direction of apologizing or moving forward. Brandy then calls Joyce stupid. Joyce that's when Joyce decides to call her racist, a bully. Joyce is saying, you know, you bullied me in Palm Springs, and she's like, What planet do you live on? You live on planet trash. And Casey: Good one. Blake: and then LVP, actually like a very sisterly move, jumps in and goes, Well, Joyce, like, you can understand why, you know, Brandy would tell you to go fuck yourself if you just called her a racist and tacky and that she lives on planet trash. And it's funny 'cause like like I don't like Joyce, so like obviously I'm never gonna be like be nice to Joyce. Casey: Yeah, I don't either. Blake: But like very clearly like Brandy is allowed to get away with saying way more than like anyone else is. which Casey: Yeah, and like later on Lisa like tries to like defend Brandy to Joyce like one-on-one about this all too like they they really like for whatever reason want to give Brandy a pass because her dog is missing like that is like Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: like they really feel bad for like LBP literally like invites Joyce over and is like you need to go easier on Brandy like she's going through a really hard time Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: like and like okay like yes I like that sucks but it doesn't Also, her dog was not missing when she started doing all of this. It's missing now, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: but like it was not when she started being mean to Joyce, but it is funny. Like it's a little bit later, but when she's telling Joyce this, Lisa's like, don't chastise Brandy. And Joyce is like, chastise? Like what is chastise? And Amanda Rump's like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: don't like tell her off. And Joyce still is like, tell her off? Like what, what does that? Blake: Can you she's like, Can you speak English? Casey: And Lisa Vanderpump's like, don't reprimand her. And Joyce is literally like, reprimand? Like, my God, like, do you know Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: any words? Like, what is wrong with you? my God, I was sitting there, I was like, girl, like, what? Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: Context clues, like, what are we? Do you have a reading comprehension level? Blake: Pull out pull out a dictionary. Casey: LVP is looking at her like she is the dumbest person she's ever talked to and like honestly I would too like what do mean you don't know tell her off Those are all regular words, but tell her off is like just a regular ass expression So like yeah Lisa like tries to defend her not only in the moment But at the at the end of our little segment she tries to be like you need to stop which really it's Brandy that needs to stop like Blake: Yeah, like and so we end that dinner with Brandy defending herself not being racist because she was married to a Cuban and had kids with a Cuban man. And Joyce tells Brandy to stop acting like a bimbo and then Brandy tells her to go fuck herself. So you c you kinda see where this dinner Casey: Yeah. Blake: is going. It's not it doesn't end productively The servers are watching in awe. Casey: Well, and Joyce's weird husband, like, is, also involved in, like, what I don't like about, I mean, I don't like a lot of things about Joyce and her husband. I don't like anything about them, actually. But one of the things I dislike is, that they try to, like, make this into, like, a, Brandi's never gonna have a man if she keeps acting like this, like, beautiful, beautiful Blake: my god, yeah. Casey: girl, but what I, like, with that mouth, she's never gonna have a husband. Like, my God, not everyone is looking for a fucking husband all the time. Like, I hate when people talk like that. Like, some people aren't actually, like, with every single thing they do thinking about if it may or may not attract a man. Like Brandi does not, that's not what Blake: Right. Casey: she's doing right now. She's not around men. Why would she be worried? Blake: Also, like for for a man to say that to her is like gross. It's like it's like Casey: I agree. And to like be sitting with your husband like saying that about a single mom, single like Blake: Yeah, like, you're not gonna be like valuable enough for a man if you keep like mouthing off like this. It's like, well, you both also suck in various different ways. So like we can talk about Casey: 100%. Blake: that. Like, you're lucky that you like found someone who didn't cheat on you, but she did have a man. She just also doesn't need to have another one. So the dinner Casey: Right. Blake: ends, and and there is kind of like a charity thing at Lisa Vanderpump's home where she has the women come and bring like dresses and drop them off for like donating to like you know people who have less than they do. And th briefly like Joyce and Brandy kinda try to like talk it out. It doesn't really get anywhere. They kind of it's like one of those things where like they're both just like like okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. it's like, okay, I think we're maybe done with that, but we'll have to see. Casey: We're not. Probably not. Blake: Yeah, I I would like to be done with that particular beef. Casey: would do or at least like this particular like vein of it because also like at speaking of charity Kyle also has a charity event at the end of this little batch of episodes and she It's like at her store. It's at Aline 2 Aline 2 store really Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: and she's doing like a fashion show charity like shopping event I think it's a children's hospital or children's cancer It's something with children Kyle's like very involved in it. And so is Jamie Lee Curtis We see it again like later on in Beverly Hills, too, but She's having this event for the, I think it's the Children's Cancer House, Jamie Lee Curtis attends, hey girl. So that's like a fun Blake: Ha ha. Casey: little cameo. adding on to like the Joyce Brandy thing, Brandy is on the way there. Like Kyle asks Brandy and Joyce to model in the show, which like first of all, like yeah, great duo selection, Kyle. Like really, like you couldn't have done Carlton and Brandy, like they're at least friends, like whatever. But she picks them to model and asks Brandi to bring pretty friends to come. So Brandi's like on her way there in the Uber or in the limo, whatever, with like two beautiful women, one of whom is a black woman who is gonna go model in the show. And Brandi is like, wait, let me tell you guys about like what I said, like, cause this might like come up. So she is telling it's just so you understand the dynamics. there's the black woman friend and then there's Brandy and the other white woman. So like she's telling them about it and she says the story and her friend, the black friend is like, well, I don't know why you would say that like especially in front of people that don't know you. Like, and she's, know, classy about it. She could have definitely been meaner. Like she could have been like, what the hell? I'm getting out of this car. Like that's really racist. But. She's like, yeah, I don't know if I would have said that. And you can tell in her face, it's clearly uncomfortable. I'm sure she probably didn't know how to handle it on camera when it's not your show. That's an awkward position to be in. So I get feeling awkward, but you could tell it was not received well. they go. And the only other thing that's really even important about this is Kyle obviously has to like. bring up that her and Jamie Lee Curtis were in the movie Halloween together because she's an actress, even though she was like four and never does anything ever again, whatever. Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: But it's funny because Carleton is talking to Kyle and she goes, I kind of like you a little bit more now that I know that you were in a spooky movie. And then it cuts Blake: Ha ha ha ha ha. Casey: to a confessional of Carleton being like, is it gonna change my mind about her? Absolutely not, like we will never. So she lied. She tells Kyle she likes her more and then she's like, no, I actually don't like her at all. And yeah, that's how we Blake: Yeah. Casey: that's kind of how we end that first half, like everyone still doesn't like each other. There's really no resolution on any fronts between like the conflicts that have been existing. Like even the Richard Sisters versus Yolanda is still kind of brewing. Kyle and LVP is kind of like low key tension is still brewing. Kim and LVP kind of have a low key tension. Again, the teams are against each other. So any direction flowing from team to team conflict is fair game. You just won't get right now Kyle versus Joyce or Kim and like, verse Kyle, because they need each other at the moment, so. Blake: Right, and and don't forget we also have the tension brewing with Kim's dog, Kingsley, who is currently off at camp getting trained, but remains to be seen whether that training was worth the money. And and that Casey: I know. And the appearance fee for that dog trainer to be on like seven episodes of the season. Blake: Ha ha ha. Kim is like watching a video of him like at like training the dog like at training camp and he's like in the middle of the desert and he's like I'm running with a pack of 16 dogs. Do you see how Kingsley like knows that he's not the alpha? And he's he's running with the dogs and he bows down to the alpha dog, and it's just like both of the dogs like kind of like vibing, like hanging out, Casey: You Blake: and he's like this guy's standing on a rock, like, this is how you train a dog, and I'm like Casey: No, they don't they don't vibe him and Kim either. Like Kim is like, this guy's weird. But she's desperate. Her dog is insane. Like her dog is like actually insane. And like, meanwhile, it right now Blake: No, this guy's this guy's like wack-a-doodle. Casey: is like planning its attack on whatever Richard's daughter it's Blake: Probably Porsche. Portia's under fire this season. Not only is she being accused of being the other woman with Mauricio, but Kim is like Kim's dog is in his evil lair, going like, she's the smallest one. Casey: You Blake: I could probably I could get her in two bites. I could get her easy. Casey: Well, and speaking of like the poor Richard's daughters not the poor they're they're fine, but this one This one episode Blake: They're wealthy. Casey: of the charity ball like one of them. They're all they're all the same to me I don't know their names one of them not Portia not the young one Kyle is like I'm making her model in the show even though she doesn't want to and she looks so Depressed and Kyle is like because I remember when I was a kid and I didn't want to act and I was miserable and my mom made me do it and I love and I am so thankful I'm like this is real footage of a generational cycle being repeated. Like you, you don't hear Blake: Yeah. Casey: it. You don't hear it in that sentence that maybe you should not make her do what you did. Blake: Yeah, like you'd h isn't you and Kim's whole thing like that she kinda fucked you up, like the way she raised you? Casey: And she's like on the runway looking miserable and Kyle's like, I know she's hating it, but I'm so proud. Blake: Yeah, like mother, like daughter. there's Casey: Like, okay, hopefully it's not her that gets attacked by the dog, because then she's really not having a good time. Like, you know what? Let's just it up right now. Was attacked by dog. To Kingsley Blake: Maybe the dog gets all of them. Let's just fucking Google it. Which Richard sister succumbed to Kingsley? Casey: is fucking crazy. It was second oldest Kia. If you weren't miserable at the fashion show or Porsche, you're the Kia. Severe bites to the hand, Blake: Second oldest. stupid Yurike. If you were only mauled by a Kim Richards dog. Casey: severe bites to the hand and thumb requiring two surgeries. my God. The AI overview says other victims of the dog. And it says, Kay Rosario, a family friend slash neighbor bitten earlier in the same year. Paige Sanderson, Blake: Yeah. Casey: Kim's former assistant who sued over a 2016 bite. then, this dog has taken down several, only women. Wake that up, wake that up. Kingsley is a misogynist. You heard it right here first on the Mention It All Again pod. Remember that. Blake: He did go to that like alpha male training camp. Like I'm telling you, like it was like they were trained to bite women. Casey: Not Kim sent her dog to conversion camp for misogynistic dogs. my God. Blake: Kim pi Kim paid for her dog to become a misogynist. She had no clue what she was paying for. Okay, Casey: my God, it's that time of the episode where I'm gonna start crying. Blake: on that note, y'all. don't forget to subscribe. Follow. We're M-I-A-A-Pod on TikTok. And we'll see you next week. Thanks for tuning in.
