- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I haven't played a video game in a long long time. Man,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I cannot remember the last time. Taylor plays him all
- 0:25Speaker 1: the time. I think he watches people playing video games,
- 0:28Speaker 1: which is crazy to me.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Well, one video game he does not watch. Anybody plays
- 0:31Speaker 3: Call to Duty?
- 0:32Speaker 4: Call to duty? Call it to duty sounds like you
- 0:37Speaker 4: have to take a crap?
- 0:41Speaker 5: Is that what I call it? Yes, thank you for
- 0:45Speaker 5: always being there for me.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I'm here for you.
- 0:49Speaker 5: I mean I tried to be there for you today
- 0:51Speaker 5: with ban even though.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I disagree with every single word that's come out of
- 0:55Speaker 1: your mountains Monday.
- 0:56Speaker 4: No you don't, Yes, I do.
- 0:58Speaker 5: No I do.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I do, I really do.
- 1:00Speaker 5: This is Sports Radio. No you don't, Yes, I do. No,
- 1:02Speaker 5: you don't, Yes I do.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Let's go down Stigott Street as you like to call
- 1:08Speaker 1: it before we get to our game here, so is
- 1:11Speaker 1: he Let's start. We played this sound yesterday This is
- 1:14Speaker 1: the Bills general manager, and again this is a street
- 1:16Speaker 1: where everyone lies to each other. This is Eric Tacosta
- 1:20Speaker 1: talking about how gutted he feels about having to go
- 1:23Speaker 1: back on the Max Crosby deal.
- 1:25Speaker 6: Nobody's more upset about this than me. Gutted by it
- 1:28Speaker 6: actually a big regret for me. But we will move
- 1:31Speaker 6: on as a football team, and I think there's many
- 1:33Speaker 6: many opportunities for us to grow as a team, to
- 1:35Speaker 6: become a better team, to build a roster, and to
- 1:37Speaker 6: be the team that we want to be.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I don't want to be accused of not being here
- 1:41Speaker 3: for you, stud But whose GM was it?
- 1:44Speaker 5: That was the Ravens GM?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Okay, all right, just making sure, Okay, what did I
- 1:48Speaker 1: say the first time?
- 1:49Speaker 4: That's unimportant. You're not trying to pick the Bills.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Did I get his name right?
- 1:55Speaker 4: Though?
- 1:56Speaker 5: I think I did right.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Listen, he says he's gutted, he's he knew exactly what
- 2:01Speaker 1: he was doing. He was on the phone, which Ray
- 2:04Speaker 1: Hendrickson say, agen as Max Crosby was in the building
- 2:07Speaker 1: getting a physical, So.
- 2:08Speaker 5: That is lie number one.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Here is Mark DeRosa, the manager of Team USA, explaining
- 2:16Speaker 1: that he did kind of know.
- 2:18Speaker 4: The rule, and knew that his team hadn't advanced yet.
- 2:21Speaker 7: They went into and Oh, we went into and O.
- 2:23Speaker 7: We knew they were playing Mexico the next day. We
- 2:26Speaker 7: knew there was tiebreaker rules involved. So I can understand
- 2:30Speaker 7: the questions about lineup and pitching situations we were up against.
- 2:35Speaker 7: You know a lot of guardrails with regards to teams,
- 2:39Speaker 7: the deployment of certain relievers, how many pitches they can use,
- 2:43Speaker 7: whether they can go back out, whether they can clean
- 2:46Speaker 7: up innings, and you're just trying to piece it together
- 2:49Speaker 7: in real time.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Nonsense. He knew there were rules, is what he's saying. There.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Nobody's saying that he didn't know that there were rules.
- 2:59Speaker 3: What we're saying he didn't know what those rules were
- 3:02Speaker 3: because he said things out loud that proved that before
- 3:06Speaker 3: the game, and then played the same way or managed
- 3:10Speaker 3: the same way. So yeah, I mean, why do that
- 3:13Speaker 3: you already advanced, Take the l on the chin and
- 3:16Speaker 3: move on. Just say, hey, don't have to worry about
- 3:19Speaker 3: that anymore, right because it's elimination time, So just have
- 3:22Speaker 3: fun with it instead of lying about it and sounding small.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Frankly, it does sound small. You have to own up
- 3:30Speaker 1: to it. I'm not certain what I do in that spot.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It is so embarrassing. He doesn't want to give up.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I understand what he's trying to do. He doesn't want
- 3:37Speaker 1: to give off that he is in charge of the
- 3:40Speaker 1: United States baseball team and he doesn't know the rules.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He doesn't want to admit it. He doesn't want to
- 3:45Speaker 1: acknowledge it, and so he's trying to come up with
- 3:48Speaker 1: kinda he's trying to circumvent it a little bit.
- 3:51Speaker 5: By saying I knew exactly what was going on, but
- 3:53Speaker 5: he did it.
- 3:53Speaker 8: We all know that this one is so much more
- 3:56Speaker 8: insulting of a lie because even in this SnO, if
- 4:00Speaker 8: he understood that, if he actually understood what he's saying,
- 4:05Speaker 8: then the justification is I just gave Paul Goldschmidt a
- 4:08Speaker 8: charity start over Bryce Harper in a game that we
- 4:12Speaker 8: needed to win.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Right, but I knew the situation.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Yeah, don't insult our intelligence. We already know you're the dummy.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yes, so as he here's our third piece of audio here,
- 4:22Speaker 1: because I like to do things in threes, here is
- 4:25Speaker 1: Kyler Murray his introductory press confidence with the Minnesota Vikings.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I think I got the name right. I think I
- 4:31Speaker 1: got the name of the organization.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Right. This is Kyler.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Murray being asked.
- 4:36Speaker 1: If he plans, if he intends, if his thought is
- 4:39Speaker 1: he's going to be the starter.
- 4:40Speaker 8: Do you view this as as you're coming in as
- 4:42Speaker 8: the starting quarterback? Do you view this as a competition?
- 4:45Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 4:45Speaker 9: No, Like I said, I'm just great for the opportunity,
- 4:47Speaker 9: grateful for the opportunity. You know, I look forward to
- 4:51Speaker 9: coming and competing and getting to learn the offense, getting
- 4:53Speaker 9: to be with coach O'Connell. Obviously he's had a lot
- 4:56Speaker 9: of success. And again, I'm just looking for looking forward
- 4:59Speaker 9: to the opportunity I'm in here and competing.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not looking forward to the opportunity to compete.
- 5:04Speaker 1: He is looking forward to starting for the Minnesota Vicakes.
- 5:07Speaker 1: That's what he wanted to say. But that's good press
- 5:08Speaker 1: conference from your quarterback right there, right, it is?
- 5:11Speaker 4: It is?
- 5:11Speaker 3: And did he actually lie because I don't remember what
- 5:14Speaker 3: the question was exactly, but his answer was yeah, no,
- 5:16Speaker 3: So he has given you.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Both of them. I do that all the time.
- 5:20Speaker 1: In fact, if I was Sam could just isolate the
- 5:24Speaker 1: yeah no, that would be that would be fantastic. I
- 5:27Speaker 1: let me know if you can do that, it was Sam,
- 5:30Speaker 1: I have no confidence in throwing it to you right now?
- 5:34Speaker 8: Do you view this as you're coming in as the
- 5:36Speaker 8: starting quarterback? Do you view this as a competition?
- 5:39Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 5:39Speaker 4: No, Like I said, I'm just grateful, just the yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 5: No, just the yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 10: No.
- 5:45Speaker 4: View it as a competition. Yes and no.
- 5:48Speaker 5: There's your right. Do you think Kyler Murray views himself
- 5:51Speaker 5: as a starter right now? Like day one? He is
- 5:53Speaker 5: the day one starter?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Because why would you bringing Kyler Murray to do anything
- 5:57Speaker 1: other than start. You're bringing in Kyler Murray because you're
- 6:00Speaker 1: not confident in your quarterback, JJ McCarthy.
- 6:03Speaker 3: At what point would we believe that Kyler Murray lost
- 6:06Speaker 3: confidence in himself? The only thing I could think of
- 6:08Speaker 3: is after the knee injury, right because we talked on
- 6:12Speaker 3: the pod the other day and I talked to you
- 6:13Speaker 3: about all of his accolades, going forty two and zero
- 6:16Speaker 3: in high school, doing everything that he did early on
- 6:18Speaker 3: with the pros. You know, obviously the year at Oklahoma
- 6:21Speaker 3: playing behind the number one pick in Baker Mayfield.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Right before that. We know a guy that.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Time after time after time after time has proven to
- 6:30Speaker 3: himself and others that he is probably an elite.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Quarterback, like it has that skill set. Right.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Yes, things fell off with Arizona. Yes, his coach changed,
- 6:40Speaker 3: his approach changed, their approach to him changed rather in
- 6:43Speaker 3: terms of a little bit more short passes and stuff
- 6:45Speaker 3: like that and not trusting him as much. But he
- 6:49Speaker 3: wouldn't have lost his confidence, right, he would have continued
- 6:52Speaker 3: to think. He see which everyone is right? Which everyone
- 6:57Speaker 3: you choose to agree with me? I'll take Then. Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 3: I think he's going to a place that has skill
- 7:02Speaker 3: position talent, that has a coach with a reputation that
- 7:06Speaker 3: works well with his quarterbacks, and he's probably thinking to himself,
- 7:09Speaker 3: I might have the best year I've ever had.
- 7:11Speaker 8: So, speaking of the game called a duty stude, there's
- 7:14Speaker 8: people that believe that if Call of Duty never came out,
- 7:17Speaker 8: Kyler Murray might be a Hall of Fame quarterback.
- 7:19Speaker 4: He might be. Yes, yes, but is he?
- 7:21Speaker 1: We were saying earlier when we taped God Bless Football
- 7:24Speaker 1: that Kyler Murray is one of those guys that you
- 7:26Speaker 1: just hate as an athlete, Like if you work really,
- 7:29Speaker 1: really hard at your craft and Kyler Murray comes strolling
- 7:33Speaker 1: off eighteen hours on the couch playing Call for Duty.
- 7:38Speaker 4: That's a different game. But he could be on him.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He could be on his couch for eighteen hours, and
- 7:43Speaker 1: you are out there grinding and working and grinding and
- 7:46Speaker 1: working and in strolls. Kyler Murray right off the couch
- 7:50Speaker 1: after playing eighteen hours of video games, and he's the
- 7:52Speaker 1: best athlete on any field he walks on. And that's
- 7:55Speaker 1: why people are frustrated with Kyler Murray because if he
- 7:58Speaker 1: actually paid attention, he cared about his crab, he could
- 8:00Speaker 1: be the best quarterback of all time.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I kind of lived this example because I dropped the
- 8:06Speaker 3: yano at the same time I see you Ioa Sam.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I kind of lived this example because my partner's five
- 8:11Speaker 3: to five and about forty pounds overweight and still the
- 8:13Speaker 3: best athlete when we go out and play football, and
- 8:15Speaker 3: it really.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Ticks me off. Yes, I play golf. Of the ones.
- 8:18Speaker 5: He drove me crazy. He was hitting at three hundred
- 8:20Speaker 5: and thirty yards. I mean he was like Scotti Scheffler.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Out there, not consistently, but he could do. Who is
- 8:29Speaker 4: the coach?
- 8:29Speaker 1: By the way, is there a coach for you that
- 8:32Speaker 1: gets assigned like all the great stuff, winner, champion, leader
- 8:37Speaker 1: of men? And it drives you crazy, because for me,
- 8:40Speaker 1: it was always Phil Jackson, the most overrated coach in
- 8:43Speaker 1: the history of sports, Phil Jackson. Eventually someone was going
- 8:46Speaker 1: to win with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippett, and eventually
- 8:50Speaker 1: someone was going to win with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neill.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And yet we sit here and act like Phil Jackson
- 8:56Speaker 1: is the greatest coach in the history of sports. And
- 8:59Speaker 1: I am telling you right now the guy who was
- 9:01Speaker 1: in close second for me is now Kevin O'Connell.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Big Kevin O'Connell, What has he ever done?
- 9:09Speaker 1: As seriously, as Taylor pointed out, and God bless football,
- 9:13Speaker 1: the next playoff game that Kevin O'Connell wins is the
- 9:16Speaker 1: first playoff game that Kevin O'Connell is gonna win as
- 9:19Speaker 1: the Vikings head coach. He has not developed a quarterback.
- 9:22Speaker 1: In fact, what he has done is he just so
- 9:24Speaker 1: unclear because he gets a sign quarterback whisperer Guy okay,
- 9:29Speaker 1: And I hate that he is the expert on quarterbacks. Well,
- 9:32Speaker 1: he had Sam Donald. Sam Donald had to start because
- 9:35Speaker 1: JJ McCarthy went down. Sam Donald fourteen and three got
- 9:39Speaker 1: to the playoffs and they lost in the playoffs.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Why because that guy is their coach.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Okay, so Sam Donald, he has a decision to make
- 9:49Speaker 1: do I keep Sam do I go forward with Jj?
- 9:51Speaker 1: And he says, you know what, I'm gonna let Sam
- 9:53Speaker 1: walk out the door. Sam goes wins a super Bowl
- 9:57Speaker 1: with the Seattle Seahawks. So oh, he could have won
- 10:01Speaker 1: a super Bowl with Sam Darnold, even though he had
- 10:04Speaker 1: justin Jefferson, even though he had Flores considered to be
- 10:07Speaker 1: one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL.
- 10:10Speaker 5: So we couldn't get it done with Sam. And what
- 10:13Speaker 5: he also couldn't do is.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Develop the quarterback that he drafted in JJ McCarthy. And
- 10:19Speaker 1: yet we sit here and assign all these attributes positive
- 10:22Speaker 1: ones to Kevin O'Connell when he has done absolutely nothing
- 10:26Speaker 1: as the head coach of the Vikings.
- 10:29Speaker 3: It's such a great point because we've assigned so many
- 10:34Speaker 3: quarterback whisperer labels to guys, right, and I start to
- 10:37Speaker 3: lose track. I was like, who's responsible for what? How
- 10:39Speaker 3: are there this many quarterback whisperers? And so tried to
- 10:43Speaker 3: go back and figure out exactly who it was that
- 10:45Speaker 3: Kevin O'Connell is getting credit for and it's Matthew Stafford
- 10:50Speaker 3: when he was a coordinator. Sorry, I'm pretty sure Matthew
- 10:54Speaker 3: Stafford did not need to be whispered to. I mean,
- 10:55Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure he was throwing for five thousand yards
- 10:58Speaker 3: in Detroit and then it.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Was Kirk Cousins.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Did he really figure out anything with Kirk Cousins or
- 11:06Speaker 3: his Kirk Cousins just played slightly better under him. I
- 11:09Speaker 3: don't see the quarterback whisper really in his resume.
- 11:13Speaker 8: So, Stu, you asked the question, what coaches are overrated?
- 11:17Speaker 8: I had a nominee. Doc Rivers parlayed one Celtic title
- 11:21Speaker 8: with that Big Three into like eight more coaching.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Jobs, yes, and nineteen broadcasting jobs.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yes, dude, And he was gifted the most well fitting
- 11:34Speaker 3: big three in the history of big threes, and that
- 11:37Speaker 3: team was an absolute monster also almost lost in the
- 11:41Speaker 3: first round.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You notice what he did there, Taylor well fitted perfectly
- 11:45Speaker 1: fit because Spose wasn't. And so he was trying to
- 11:48Speaker 1: make the point, Well he wasn't, and that's the point
- 11:50Speaker 1: you were trying to make.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Was it is that fair?
- 11:53Speaker 4: No?
- 11:54Speaker 5: It was.
- 11:54Speaker 3: It was just a jab at Doc Rivers because there
- 11:57Speaker 3: have been some other big three that aren't exactly ideal
- 12:01Speaker 3: and you know whether they worked out or not, but
- 12:04Speaker 3: they those in particular were It's just like a perfect fit.
- 12:07Speaker 8: We also talk about that Celtics Big three like they
- 12:10Speaker 8: were some like massive dynasty. They won one title.
- 12:13Speaker 3: That's because, I would say probably because of KG injury.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Like right after that first.
- 12:18Speaker 3: One, there was a couple of years there where you
- 12:20Speaker 3: saw them in the playoffs and we're like, man, if
- 12:21Speaker 3: this team was healthy, they'd probably run it, uh you know,
- 12:24Speaker 3: win it again. But yeah, it was it was unfortunate.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I think Doc probably coached his best right then. It's
- 12:30Speaker 3: not like he's a bad coach or anything, but he
- 12:32Speaker 3: definitely overrated.
- 12:33Speaker 5: That's a great call.
- 12:34Speaker 1: But there's a number of coaches who could have won
- 12:36Speaker 1: with that big three. I mean a number.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It probably would have won more, right Yeah, again, if
- 12:41Speaker 3: if KG was healthy, I think even Doc would have
- 12:43Speaker 3: won more. But yeah, I think that's that's probably a
- 12:48Speaker 3: coach's dream in that situation, to go KG, who wants
- 12:51Speaker 3: he's crazy about defense and your best player.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a good ad.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Janeller, He's he's going to get upset at me asking
- 12:58Speaker 1: this question. Who's big three was more disappointing the Celtics
- 13:02Speaker 1: or the Heats.
- 13:06Speaker 3: You always anticipate me getting upset when I'm not really
- 13:09Speaker 3: gonna get upset because I could argue.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Yeah, go ahead and argue, because I could argue.
- 13:13Speaker 3: That the Miami's Big Three was a smart a slight
- 13:16Speaker 3: disappointment because you say, at least three out of four
- 13:19Speaker 3: they should have had, if not four in a row.
- 13:22Speaker 3: But you gotta go with the Celtics one. But again,
- 13:25Speaker 3: you gotta throw some context in there. They weren't fully healthy.
- 13:27Speaker 3: But I would say, yeah, for all the credit that
- 13:30Speaker 3: team gets, just the one title probably leads you wanting more.
- 13:33Speaker 4: I would say it's the Heats.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I know they won two, they went to four NBA Finals,
- 13:39Speaker 1: But before you even bounce a basketball, you get on
- 13:42Speaker 1: stage and you announce the world that you're gonna win.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Five, six, seven, eight.
- 13:48Speaker 1: That Big three is when you have Lebron and Way,
- 13:51Speaker 1: two of the top ten basketball players of all time,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and you get two in four years. It should have
- 13:56Speaker 1: been better than that. It should have been four consecutive
- 13:58Speaker 1: NBA titles. You know that, you know it should have
- 14:00Speaker 1: been four straight.
- 14:01Speaker 3: To me, I think it should have been three, and
- 14:03Speaker 3: that last one. Those Spurs were not going to be denied.
- 14:06Speaker 3: I don't care if you put Michael Jordan Chamberlain and
- 14:09Speaker 3: Lebron James on that team. Those Spurs were not going
- 14:11Speaker 3: to be denied. But I think that first one against
- 14:13Speaker 3: Dalla is definitely a disappointment.
- 14:15Speaker 5: Taylor has a nominee.
- 14:16Speaker 8: Here, go ahead, Taylor, I don't have a nominee. I
- 14:19Speaker 8: just said, let's go to break.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Ready to take.
- 14:27Speaker 5: I'm sorry, is to go ahead.
- 14:28Speaker 4: We're on remote.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I'm at the Big Ten Tournament up covering it for
- 14:32Speaker 1: Fox Sports Premiere at iHeartRadio, and we're a little bit
- 14:35Speaker 1: off the.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Last two days.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 14:40Speaker 2: Live WEEKDA said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 14:44Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio Whip.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Frank II solo going to join us here in just
- 14:51Speaker 1: a second. In fact, bring Frank on right now. We'll
- 14:54Speaker 1: read his tweets from last night about BAM. We have
- 14:57Speaker 1: some sound to play as well. But as he did
- 14:59Speaker 1: mention and I'm proud of this, he called me box
- 15:01Speaker 1: score Stu in that first segment, and that is a
- 15:05Speaker 1: thing that.
- 15:05Speaker 5: People call me.
- 15:07Speaker 1: But it also felt like a good time to play
- 15:09Speaker 1: for you, the audience, Taylor, mikey A, everyone back in
- 15:13Speaker 1: Sherman Oaks, and of course Frank I saw it felt
- 15:15Speaker 1: like a good time for me to play. The rare
- 15:17Speaker 1: time where I actually watched the game, but did it.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Look at the box score? Go ahead, Fellas LaMarcus LaMarcus
- 15:23Speaker 1: Aldridge awful. I mean no, he's an embarrassment, man. I'm
- 15:29Speaker 1: telling you Greg Popovich is going to get rid of
- 15:31Speaker 1: that guy in the offseason.
- 15:32Speaker 4: He was an embarrassment last night. He is so out
- 15:36Speaker 4: of shape.
- 15:37Speaker 1: There are so many times where the Rockets were playing
- 15:41Speaker 1: five on four on offense because LaMarcus Aldris was walking
- 15:45Speaker 1: back on defense.
- 15:46Speaker 4: He's bad. He's not a good play.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I don't know what happened to him, because when he
- 15:49Speaker 1: was in Portland he was fantastic.
- 15:51Speaker 5: He is not good.
- 15:52Speaker 11: Dan.
- 15:52Speaker 4: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 15:55Speaker 4: the game, but hadn't.
- 15:56Speaker 1: They lost, I'm telling you it would have been on
- 15:58Speaker 1: LaMarcus Aldiers.
- 16:00Speaker 4: The only reason it's not is because they won the game.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Otherwise San Antonio would be crushing it today and I'm
- 16:05Speaker 1: still going to crutch it even though they won. That
- 16:08Speaker 1: is courtesy of the show that still bears my name.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Frank Iy Sola is with us. He is here to
- 16:13Speaker 1: fight with Israel. Goody eras. But before we get to that, though, Taylor,
- 16:18Speaker 1: please read the tweets from one frank I solo last
- 16:22Speaker 1: night after BAM scored eighty three points.
- 16:24Speaker 8: So we have three tweets. The first one reads Michael
- 16:27Speaker 8: Jordan's and Kobe Bryant's career highs for free throw attempts
- 16:30Speaker 8: in a regular season game is twenty seven. Meanwhile, in Miami,
- 16:34Speaker 8: dot dot dot, give me a break, BAM currently has
- 16:36Speaker 8: forty one. The second tweet is Luke Cornett needs to
- 16:40Speaker 8: weigh in on this wheel and since in Miami. And
- 16:43Speaker 8: then the third tweet and my favorite tweet, that's heat
- 16:46Speaker 8: Culture with a question mark.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Luke Cornette the People's champ. Good afternoon, frank Iy Sola,
- 16:52Speaker 4: thank you for joining us.
- 16:53Speaker 11: How are you, gentlemen? My account was hacked those who
- 16:57Speaker 11: are not my tea. I never did it. Whoever did
- 17:00Speaker 11: it has my sense of humor, though I'll give him that.
- 17:04Speaker 12: I love you, Bud. You know I'm not trying to
- 17:07Speaker 12: argue with you. This was just the best conversation we
- 17:09Speaker 12: could possibly have. But with a night and a day
- 17:13Speaker 12: because I know you do the morning show on NBA
- 17:15Speaker 12: Radio to think about it. What are now your thoughts
- 17:20Speaker 12: on Pam out of Bio's eighty three point.
- 17:22Speaker 11: Performance, it's even worse. I mean, I mean number one.
- 17:29Speaker 11: Twenty one points in the first half is legit.
- 17:31Speaker 4: That's all first quarter, the first quarter, the quarter.
- 17:34Speaker 11: Quarter, first quarter. I'm sorry. The fact that he had
- 17:37Speaker 11: forty two by halftime set you know, one more than
- 17:40Speaker 11: his career high. That's great. The fact that he had
- 17:42Speaker 11: twelve it was twelve I think in the third wherever
- 17:44Speaker 11: he got where he got the sixty nineteen nineteen, So
- 17:48Speaker 11: we got the sixty two. I'm sorry, I'm better master.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Yes, he committed to memory. Man, it's right in front
- 17:52Speaker 4: of his hands off.
- 17:53Speaker 11: So we got the sixty to sixty two, so we
- 17:54Speaker 11: passed his lebron for the franchise record. But the final,
- 17:58Speaker 11: you know, five to sixty seven minutes, come on. You
- 18:01Speaker 11: can't have an organization that tries to tell you they can't.
- 18:04Speaker 11: You know, they put it on their shirts, they put
- 18:05Speaker 11: their credo on the court to tell you how they
- 18:07Speaker 11: do everything. The right way, and the right way is
- 18:10Speaker 11: having this guy chuck up three pointers with three guys
- 18:13Speaker 11: on him staying in the game as late as he did,
- 18:16Speaker 11: intentionally missing free throws, speaking get an opportunity, challenging a
- 18:20Speaker 11: call up. What were they up? Twenty five? Twenty eight points?
- 18:23Speaker 11: Give me a break. There's no way, deep down, and
- 18:25Speaker 11: you know those two guys, all you guys do. There's
- 18:27Speaker 11: no way that Eric Spolscher thought that was good. There's
- 18:30Speaker 11: no way that pat Riley, who a week earlier in
- 18:33Speaker 11: LA or two weeks earlier, was giving guys a hard
- 18:36Speaker 11: time because anywhere a tie to his statue ceremony that
- 18:40Speaker 11: he thought that was great for the NBA.
- 18:41Speaker 4: No chance, No chance, Frank, I totally agree with you.
- 18:45Speaker 1: But this is Israel's Day, and I will say this.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Whatever you're going to say moving forward, I agree with it.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Go ahead, is it, Frank? And I don't mean to
- 18:53Speaker 1: say this in a derogatory way.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Obviously you weren't watching Wizard's Heat on a Tuesday night, Right,
- 18:58Speaker 3: That's not fair.
- 19:00Speaker 11: The last six minutes because unfortunately, I was Doing's nest.
- 19:04Speaker 3: So if you are Eric Spolstra, you obviously are watching
- 19:08Speaker 3: it all. You're experiencing it all, right, And I watched
- 19:11Speaker 3: every second of it. Frank, and I said to myself, Okay,
- 19:14Speaker 3: they're going to take him out after Lebron's, after he
- 19:17Speaker 3: breaks lebron sixty when they get to sixty two. Oh no,
- 19:20Speaker 3: they couldn't. There was way too much time left on
- 19:23Speaker 3: the clock. There was nobody available. I know, you know
- 19:26Speaker 3: that they had everybody heard no Tyler, no Wiggins, no
- 19:29Speaker 3: kalel Ware, no Norm Powell. And then it was like, okay,
- 19:33Speaker 3: well he'll get to seventy, I guess, and then we'll
- 19:35Speaker 3: pull him. And then it became and and and you know,
- 19:38Speaker 3: this is basically like spinning plates if you're a coach, right,
- 19:40Speaker 3: It's like, I don't want to be the guy who
- 19:42Speaker 3: has to explain for the rest of time that bam
- 19:44Speaker 3: out of Bayo, who you know was not going to
- 19:47Speaker 3: get another chance at this right, would sat by my
- 19:51Speaker 3: choice as the coach. So you have to let the player,
- 19:54Speaker 3: especially in this situation like this where there's no teammates around,
- 19:57Speaker 3: decide if he wants to keep playing, right.
- 19:58Speaker 11: Okay, okay, So why did they take him out? Then?
- 20:02Speaker 11: What made that? What made a minute? What was it
- 20:04Speaker 11: a minute three when he came out a minute thirteen?
- 20:06Speaker 11: Why take him out? Then?
- 20:07Speaker 4: Why not because so you're at a point, Frank.
- 20:10Speaker 11: Leave him. Why not leave him in and continue to
- 20:13Speaker 11: foul and try to get ninety or well a wall
- 20:16Speaker 11: out and try to get a hundred?
- 20:17Speaker 4: Why did you go back earlier?
- 20:19Speaker 3: If you go back earlier in the fourth quarter, Frank,
- 20:22Speaker 3: they were only down, they were only up rather by
- 20:24Speaker 3: nineteen Okay, I'm not talking with four minutes left.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I'm not talking with five minutes left. I'm talking about
- 20:28Speaker 4: with about seven years.
- 20:30Speaker 11: As to the question, why did they take him out? Then?
- 20:33Speaker 4: Having one way conversation, Okay, Frank, I'll tell you.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I'll tell you exactly because regardless, Frank, because regardless of
- 20:40Speaker 3: what the actual point total was sports right, he needed
- 20:43Speaker 3: to be celebrated by the home fans and that was
- 20:46Speaker 3: the point that was.
- 20:48Speaker 11: The building, or they leave, They leave when they were down,
- 20:50Speaker 11: when they were losing the San.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Antoni Frank, why did they take Kobe out when he
- 20:53Speaker 3: had his eighty one? Why did ta kobeat when he
- 20:55Speaker 3: had to get celebrated for that?
- 20:58Speaker 1: You stop, both of you stop listen to me. I
- 21:00Speaker 1: love both of you, Israel, I love you very much.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And you have to let Frank talk.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I'm letting him.
- 21:05Speaker 11: All right, hang on, hang on. First of all, Kobe
- 21:07Speaker 11: was never going to get to one hundred number one.
- 21:09Speaker 11: He only got to eighty three because he wanted to
- 21:11Speaker 11: pass Kobe. So now it's going to be Bamita Bayou
- 21:13Speaker 11: who never scored, never's averaged twenty points for his career.
- 21:17Speaker 11: He's averaged four point what is it, eight three throws
- 21:20Speaker 11: per game in his career. He goes to the line
- 21:22Speaker 11: forty three times. Now, remember this is complicit in this
- 21:26Speaker 11: for the Washington Wizards and the referees. It's a show
- 21:28Speaker 11: that they would send this guy to the line forty
- 21:30Speaker 11: three times. He went to the line forty three times
- 21:32Speaker 11: more than Kobe did. I'm sorry, he went to the
- 21:34Speaker 11: free throw line twenty three more times than Kobe did
- 21:37Speaker 11: in Kobe's eighty one point game and he scored two
- 21:39Speaker 11: more points in at some point. Eric Stolter, who's going
- 21:42Speaker 11: to be the national team coach, by the way, USA,
- 21:45Speaker 11: this is what this is what we're going to do.
- 21:47Speaker 11: So if what if a player from the US is
- 21:49Speaker 11: scoring going to break the record against Angola, do we
- 21:52Speaker 11: keep him in the game and rub it in their face?
- 21:54Speaker 4: Let me ask you a question. First of all, record
- 21:57Speaker 4: the wizards culture.
- 21:58Speaker 11: It's heat culture that gets shoved down off throat every day.
- 22:01Speaker 4: It hasn't has.
- 22:03Speaker 3: The only people who have brought up heat culture over
- 22:05Speaker 3: the last several years are the people who want to
- 22:07Speaker 3: hate on it because they bring up heat culture when
- 22:10Speaker 3: they're making play.
- 22:11Speaker 5: In their uniform.
- 22:12Speaker 11: It's on their uniform.
- 22:13Speaker 3: If so, here's the thing. First of all, he didn't
- 22:16Speaker 3: break a record. It was second place, right, it was
- 22:17Speaker 3: just a Kobe situation. But if like you're talking about, so,
- 22:22Speaker 3: if he takes him out, so let's say at seventy
- 22:25Speaker 3: five points, are we then celebrating an amazing seventy five
- 22:29Speaker 3: point perfour minutes? Because what drives me up a wall
- 22:32Speaker 3: is how everybody just flips on it. When he does
- 22:36Speaker 3: what gets the second place record for scoring. It is
- 22:40Speaker 3: still an amazing accomplishment, but everyone wants to poop on
- 22:43Speaker 3: it all of a sudden, because why, Frank, if Kobe
- 22:47Speaker 3: was still alive, would this be an issue?
- 22:49Speaker 11: He'd be vomiting right now.
- 22:51Speaker 4: No, he wouldn't even Yes, Well.
- 22:52Speaker 3: First of all, that's something nobody can argue, so I
- 22:54Speaker 3: don't even want.
- 22:54Speaker 4: To argue that.
- 22:55Speaker 11: Well, hang on, hang on, hang on a second. My
- 22:57Speaker 11: issue was all right, So when he's coming down the
- 23:00Speaker 11: court with three guys on him and he's firing up
- 23:02Speaker 11: and he took twenty two threes in the game, So
- 23:05Speaker 11: that isn't playing basketball the right way because that would
- 23:07Speaker 11: mean that four of his teammates are being guarded by
- 23:10Speaker 11: two people.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Right, So let's play this out, Frank, which Frank, Let's
- 23:13Speaker 3: play this out.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Let's play this out.
- 23:14Speaker 3: So let's say bam out of Bayo every single time
- 23:17Speaker 3: that he's triple quadruple team throws it to a wide
- 23:20Speaker 3: open dude under the basket and they get a bucket.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Do you think the Wizards are going to continue to
- 23:25Speaker 3: do that and then call that ethical basketball? The Wizards
- 23:28Speaker 3: who Frank fouled the second somebody else touched the ball
- 23:34Speaker 3: so that that person can get points instead of bam
- 23:36Speaker 3: out of Bayo. So who's responsible for this quote unquote
- 23:39Speaker 3: unethical basketball? Is that the team that has no idea
- 23:42Speaker 3: what they're doing by triple teaming and have never practiced that.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Or is it the guy who happens to be on
- 23:48Speaker 3: fire and is doing some heat checks.
- 23:49Speaker 11: Is it on fire? He went to the free throw
- 23:51Speaker 11: line forty two times, he wasn't on fire.
- 23:54Speaker 4: And there's also footage.
- 23:55Speaker 3: There's a footage of every single foul, and you show
- 23:57Speaker 3: me the foul that wasn't a foul.
- 23:58Speaker 11: Frank, there was serious on the word Listen one.
- 24:01Speaker 4: I watched them, Marc.
- 24:03Speaker 11: If you if you triple team a guy, pick him
- 24:06Speaker 11: up full court, you're going to run into him. It's
- 24:08Speaker 11: so dumb that they were.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Doing right, because nobody doesn't thank.
- 24:10Speaker 11: You that, but yeah, it is he it's to keep
- 24:13Speaker 11: the guy in there. When does this happen in blowouts?
- 24:16Speaker 11: We're starting players in a month where you know, the
- 24:18Speaker 11: month of March, Teams play a ton of games in
- 24:21Speaker 11: the month of Marching. They're leaving him in the game to,
- 24:24Speaker 11: you know, to get some inflated record that isn't even authentic.
- 24:28Speaker 11: The last five minutes.
- 24:28Speaker 10: Of the game.
- 24:29Speaker 11: If you got seventy five points, then they took them
- 24:31Speaker 11: out with five minutes ago, that's great, the last five
- 24:33Speaker 11: minutes of that game. Everyone should watch the last five
- 24:35Speaker 11: minutes of the game. And you tell me if you
- 24:37Speaker 11: think that's good for basketball or that's and that's legitimate.
- 24:40Speaker 3: There's no go go look at everybody that was watching
- 24:43Speaker 3: in the stands.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Go look at everybody, Look.
- 24:45Speaker 3: At the amazing, uh feeling that you got when he
- 24:49Speaker 3: challenged that call. That was the most fun challenge ever
- 24:54Speaker 3: in the history.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Of the NBA.
- 24:56Speaker 3: But everybody wants to give it crap because he passed
- 24:59Speaker 3: Kobe Ryan for second place. And again, if this was
- 25:03Speaker 3: somebody who was more a traditional scorer, everybody would be like, oh, okay,
- 25:08Speaker 3: those a couple of silly points at the end, but okay,
- 25:10Speaker 3: they just can't wrap their minds around Bam out of
- 25:12Speaker 3: Bio doing it.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Do you you You've covered pat Riley.
- 25:16Speaker 11: For a million years, You've been around them. Pat Riley's
- 25:19Speaker 11: thrilled this morning that that's how the game went down.
- 25:22Speaker 11: What do you what do you honestly think pat Riley
- 25:24Speaker 11: feels about it.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Pat Riley is a guy who coached in the nineties.
- 25:28Speaker 3: He is a guy who probably doesn't think that Bam
- 25:32Speaker 3: should have stayed in the game, but afterward would probably
- 25:35Speaker 3: be like, yeah, no, I probably would have done the
- 25:38Speaker 3: same thing in retrospect, because look, this is what gets me.
- 25:41Speaker 3: This is what it's like, heat versus everybody like you
- 25:44Speaker 3: talk about. All they care about is the people that
- 25:47Speaker 3: they are entertaining and the people and they're going to
- 25:50Speaker 3: try to win as much as possible, and they're going
- 25:52Speaker 3: to try to give their fans as much to cheer
- 25:55Speaker 3: about a posit.
- 25:56Speaker 4: That's what he was doing.
- 25:57Speaker 11: I don't think forty I don't think forty three three
- 25:59Speaker 11: through is exciting.
- 26:01Speaker 4: But why is that not on the Wizards? Why is
- 26:03Speaker 4: that not on in the building?
- 26:04Speaker 3: So frank when you like in the previous seasons where
- 26:08Speaker 3: somebody scored sixty two or Kobe, Damian lod whoever through
- 26:11Speaker 3: three quarters, and people are just like, you gotta let
- 26:14Speaker 3: him play, you gotta let him see if he'll break
- 26:16Speaker 3: the record. What do we think that would look like?
- 26:18Speaker 3: It would look exactly like last night. A team that
- 26:21Speaker 3: has tripled and quadruple teaming somebody and doing things that
- 26:24Speaker 3: they've never practiced and would constantly foul somebody. That's what
- 26:28Speaker 3: that would look like. It's never going to be pretty
- 26:30Speaker 3: like what did we expect? Like you give them all
- 26:32Speaker 3: the BAM and then the Wizards double team and then
- 26:34Speaker 3: he passes it out and we're all playing happy, ethical basketball.
- 26:37Speaker 4: No, that's exactly what that was going to look like.
- 26:40Speaker 11: And yet they did take him out, so they knew
- 26:42Speaker 11: there was a point where it was too much. My
- 26:44Speaker 11: only question would be why that point, if not three
- 26:47Speaker 11: minutes earlier, Why then why not just keep him in
- 26:49Speaker 11: and try to go for a hundred. You just said
- 26:51Speaker 11: he's probably never going to do this again. Who knows
- 26:53Speaker 11: if there'll be another player seventeen points from one hundred.
- 26:56Speaker 11: Why didn't they keep fouling Washington and try to get
- 26:59Speaker 11: the guy one hundred points? If eighty three is fine,
- 27:02Speaker 11: why not a hundred?
- 27:04Speaker 8: My question, Frank good? Sorry, My only question, Frank Izolas,
- 27:10Speaker 8: who are you rooting for last night? Team USA or
- 27:12Speaker 8: Team middle in the right question?
- 27:13Speaker 1: And are you outraised that no one on the Italian
- 27:16Speaker 1: team is from Italy?
- 27:17Speaker 4: How about that?
- 27:18Speaker 5: The great?
- 27:18Speaker 11: The great thing is that Bam and Simone Fontekia became
- 27:21Speaker 11: the sixth duo in NBA history to score.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Why because the game was still in question while he
- 27:27Speaker 3: was taking a shout. Well, the reason to take him out, Frank,
- 27:30Speaker 3: is because he's not going to get to a hundred
- 27:32Speaker 3: if there was five minutes left. If there was five
- 27:35Speaker 3: minutes left, they probably would leave him in.
- 27:37Speaker 11: You needed Simone Fontekio, You needed the Italian in.
- 27:40Speaker 3: There to get to get the would say be sim Yeah?
- 27:45Speaker 4: So who?
- 27:46Speaker 1: So Frank answered, Taylor's question, who are you rooting for?
- 27:50Speaker 11: Probably Italy because the US should probably still get I
- 27:53Speaker 11: always look for the underdog. Italy would be the underdog.
- 27:56Speaker 4: I mean in the United States.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Mark de Rosa not knowing the rules like I
- 28:00Speaker 1: am listen, I'm a trader.
- 28:01Speaker 4: I am no longer rooting for the United States of America.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I am rooting for Italy. Shame on them, and de
- 28:06Speaker 1: Rosa should be fired.
- 28:07Speaker 4: How about that?
- 28:08Speaker 11: What do you think they fired during the tournam which
- 28:10Speaker 11: has probably happened before. You know what's funny on MLB network.
- 28:14Speaker 11: Marce de Rose is really good. Yeah, he knows a lot.
- 28:17Speaker 11: It's amazing that he's in a position now to make decisions.
- 28:19Speaker 11: And but he did say he would have taken Bam
- 28:22Speaker 11: out with about five.
- 28:26Speaker 4: You know, we are we are a hater nation, is
- 28:28Speaker 4: what we are.
- 28:31Speaker 3: That was any Again, if anybody would have watched the
- 28:35Speaker 3: first three and a half quarters and then shut off
- 28:37Speaker 3: their TV and then the next day saw that he
- 28:40Speaker 3: scored eighty three, would have been like, that was the
- 28:42Speaker 3: most amazing thing ever. Instead, we all want to harp
- 28:45Speaker 3: on the crazy nonsense and not give the wizards any
- 28:48Speaker 3: blame for what happened because the Wizards were doing stupid
- 28:51Speaker 3: stuff too.
- 28:52Speaker 11: Well, hang on, the blame goes to the league office
- 28:54Speaker 11: because now we have ten teams in the league that
- 28:56Speaker 11: are trying to lose, so you have that factored in
- 29:00Speaker 11: the officiating. No offense, it's not that great, like all
- 29:03Speaker 11: these inflated scoring games that happened in October November. Look
- 29:06Speaker 11: at the free throws that guys are taking all that's
- 29:09Speaker 11: all the shit.
- 29:09Speaker 4: It's been bad for a while now though.
- 29:12Speaker 11: But but come on, forty three free throws Kobe Kobe.
- 29:14Speaker 11: Like my tweets at Kobe and Michael Jordan their most ever,
- 29:17Speaker 11: it's the free throw that was twenty seven.
- 29:19Speaker 4: But go back and look at them.
- 29:20Speaker 11: They're arrows.
- 29:21Speaker 4: But it's not ghost called called. He's a big he's.
- 29:26Speaker 3: A big man doing all this that people don't normally do.
- 29:29Speaker 4: He's going to get fouled all the time.
- 29:31Speaker 3: In fact, I would argue Bam is one of the
- 29:33Speaker 3: least well officiated players in the league.
- 29:36Speaker 4: He gets fouled all the time.
- 29:38Speaker 11: I don't want to see that credo on the court.
- 29:40Speaker 11: They better erase it. And I don't want that culture Jersey.
- 29:42Speaker 4: They don't woar that anymore. That you were right.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I have no idea why he's so fired up about this.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Who cares what anyone thinks?
- 29:48Speaker 4: You saw the game? And because I love That's why
- 29:51Speaker 4: Frank is my guy.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I love Frank. I need Frank to see things. Michel, well,
- 29:55Speaker 1: we love Frank too. So let's go to the judges
- 29:57Speaker 1: here on this fight. Taylor, I'll go to you first.
- 29:59Speaker 1: We'll go around on the room, just like a boxing match.
- 30:02Speaker 1: How do you score, Taylor? I Solo versus Goody Eras,
- 30:05Speaker 1: how do you score it?
- 30:06Speaker 8: I'm sorry, Izy, I've got isolo winning this ten to nine.
- 30:09Speaker 8: But I will offer I think to compromise for both sides.
- 30:15Speaker 8: For Frank, everybody has to go watch the last five minutes.
- 30:18Speaker 8: For Izzy, everybody has to go watch the first however
- 30:21Speaker 8: many minutes.
- 30:22Speaker 4: I'm perfectly fine watching none of it. Let's go to
- 30:24Speaker 4: Let's come out. Yeah, I'm out. Let's go to Bordop.
- 30:27Speaker 4: I got too many things to do. Board up, Ricord,
- 30:28Speaker 4: I don't know what side he's on. How do you
- 30:30Speaker 4: score this, Ricardo? I'm with Izzy.
- 30:34Speaker 5: How you play the game.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That's that's the heat, guy. Yeah, let's go to Iowa.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Sam In Sherman Oaks, Iowa, Sam, how.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Do you how do you score this? Go ahead? How
- 30:47Speaker 4: do you score? To break it?
- 30:49Speaker 13: It's on you on passion alone. I have to give
- 30:52Speaker 13: the I have to give it to Israel. Good tiaras Row.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Let's go coming from a Kobe fan. Yeah, Let's go
- 30:58Speaker 1: to Dan Bayer until I get the right answer. I Dan,
- 31:01Speaker 1: he stepped out. Let's go to mikey A until I
- 31:03Speaker 1: get the right answer. Mikey A, how do we judge this?
- 31:05Speaker 1: I Sola versus Gudieirez.
- 31:07Speaker 14: I disagree with Taylor. It's not ten to nine, it's
- 31:10Speaker 14: ten to seven. Go Frank, all right.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Yes, let's go to executive producer Jason back In Sherman Oaks, Jason,
- 31:17Speaker 1: how do you score it?
- 31:18Speaker 10: As the guy who chose a Gonzaga highlight over Bam,
- 31:21Speaker 10: I sink Isla murdered.
- 31:26Speaker 4: And history will have you all being incorrect.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I will go as a guy who didn't watch the
- 31:32Speaker 1: first three and a half quarters and will not watch
- 31:34Speaker 1: the final six minutes of the game.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I have Iola winning ten nothing.
- 31:40Speaker 8: I've been set up.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Frank. Congrats, Frank, you're the heavyweight champ beat of the world.
- 31:48Speaker 4: He's still there. Probably not, don't get me started on
- 31:50Speaker 4: the Knicks. Wow, he just left. Frank said, f you guys,
- 31:56Speaker 4: I'm out of here.
- 31:57Speaker 8: Not you guys.
- 31:59Speaker 4: You he rocked out on all of us. That me
- 32:02Speaker 4: just you would bort Apricardo.
- 32:06Speaker 5: Think you have something here?
- 32:07Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 32:10Speaker 1: That is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 32:15Speaker 4: If you missed any of today's show, I'm out. I
- 32:17Speaker 4: am so mad at bored Apricardo and I was Sam.
- 32:19Speaker 4: I mean, geez, I know what they're doing. Read The
- 32:21Speaker 4: Room fell right side of History.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gotson Company
- 32:27Speaker 2: Live Weekday. Said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It is a think about It Thursday here on Fox
- 32:36Speaker 1: Sports Radio.
- 32:37Speaker 4: We'll get to it in just a second. Israel.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I want to play some sound for you and get
- 32:41Speaker 1: your reaction to it. Okay, we are not taking a
- 32:43Speaker 1: stroll down audio avenue. We are just stopping at one house. Okay,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I'm at the corner Eric Tacosta's house. Yes, So I
- 32:51Speaker 1: want to play this sound from the Ravens GN. This
- 32:56Speaker 1: was after uh, this was after the whole backle that
- 33:00Speaker 1: went on with the Raiders and then them signing Trey Hendrickson,
- 33:04Speaker 1: and here's him explaining it to.
- 33:05Speaker 6: What, nobody's more upset about this than me? Gutted by it?
- 33:10Speaker 6: Actually a big regret for me. But we will move
- 33:12Speaker 6: on as a football team, and I think there's many
- 33:14Speaker 6: many opportunities for us to grow as a team, to
- 33:17Speaker 6: become a better team, to build a roster, and to
- 33:19Speaker 6: be the team that we want to be.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Unnecessary and untruthful clarification there, you're saying he's lying.
- 33:30Speaker 4: You could just say nobody's more upset about it than me.
- 33:32Speaker 4: It's already a lie, all right. There's a lot of
- 33:34Speaker 4: Ravens fans that are more upset about it than you.
- 33:36Speaker 3: But then to throw in the gutted actually like actually
- 33:41Speaker 3: on top of it, it's like, oh, the man has
- 33:43Speaker 3: no guts anymore.
- 33:44Speaker 4: He's been gutted by this. No, it's the same thing.
- 33:47Speaker 4: You feel bad. It is what it is.
- 33:48Speaker 5: There was no need for the work gutted.
- 33:53Speaker 14: I would prefer he was almost passive aggresses. Where passive aggressive,
- 33:57Speaker 14: where it was like, you know what, we're going to
- 33:59Speaker 14: move on with this ball team, and both our first
- 34:01Speaker 14: round picks that we kept and the star outside linebacker
- 34:05Speaker 14: that we signed We're just gonna do it that way.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Well we're gone.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yep, he should win an Oscar this Sunday. I mean,
- 34:12Speaker 1: seriously it phrase. Didn't you steal that from the British? Gutted?
- 34:18Speaker 4: Are we just using that now? Have we been using
- 34:20Speaker 4: that for a long time? I don't think we've been
- 34:21Speaker 4: using that that long.
- 34:23Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 34:23Speaker 4: It's a good question.
- 34:24Speaker 5: I don't have an answer for it.
- 34:26Speaker 1: But it's a think about It Thursday here and Taylor
- 34:29Speaker 1: is going to take us through this.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Now.
- 34:30Speaker 1: We had Mark Cockman on stegattson Company. We also did
- 34:32Speaker 1: an episode of within Stegots at Hawk.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Today.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Mark Cockman does a local radio show in Miami and
- 34:39Speaker 1: he does a talk about It Tuesday segment and Taylor
- 34:43Speaker 1: loves the segment, but came up with a spinoff. Taylor
- 34:46Speaker 1: take it away and explain to Israel, to mikey A,
- 34:50Speaker 1: to Iowa, Sam, to everyone back in Sherman Oaks, just
- 34:54Speaker 1: exactly what this game.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Is, you know, sm talk about it Tuesday on Hawkman
- 35:02Speaker 2: Crowder in Solero this is like that but bigger, bigger
- 35:06Speaker 2: and better. And forty eight hours later, this is think
- 35:12Speaker 2: about It Thursday.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Ah, Yes, whose voice is.
- 35:16Speaker 13: Day Fox Sports Rader. No, that's that's Bob our big voice.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Gay, he doesn't.
- 35:23Speaker 8: That is not Veto big voice.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Bob.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Why are you laughing at the notion of it being Veto?
- 35:29Speaker 4: Like?
- 35:29Speaker 5: What is what is happening there?
- 35:30Speaker 8: Because Vito is who I was put in contact with
- 35:33Speaker 8: to create Vito made it.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Yeah, Bob does every course.
- 35:38Speaker 1: So Telly, you just assumed that since you spoke to
- 35:40Speaker 1: Vito about this, that he was the one putting his
- 35:42Speaker 1: voice behind it.
- 35:44Speaker 8: Correct.
- 35:45Speaker 13: I mean, Vito's got a nice voice. This is not
- 35:46Speaker 13: his voice.
- 35:47Speaker 8: So there you go. Okay, So let me be the
- 35:50Speaker 8: first to welcome all of you to the first Think
- 35:52Speaker 8: about It Thursday.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you. Yeah, there's a plug of thing.
- 35:58Speaker 5: You didn't need to do it.
- 35:59Speaker 8: No, how would you guys power rank the following three things?
- 36:05Speaker 4: Wow?
- 36:05Speaker 8: Waffles, pancakes and French toast?
- 36:08Speaker 4: Wow?
- 36:09Speaker 5: Wow?
- 36:10Speaker 4: I was just thinking about it listening.
- 36:12Speaker 8: Right, Nope, we're talking about We're talking about it. If
- 36:14Speaker 8: the segments called think about.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It, it would be great if we just all stopped
- 36:17Speaker 1: and we thought about it and that air.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Can I tell you it's I had one of these
- 36:23Speaker 3: for breakfast this morning, and it will also be my
- 36:26Speaker 3: answer for the top of these three.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Kad Okay, all.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Right, so we have to power rank these three. So
- 36:33Speaker 1: give me the three again. Here, Taylor, Waffles, pancakes, and
- 36:37Speaker 1: French toast.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Wow, this is tough. See.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I think French toast has a little bit of an
- 36:42Speaker 3: advantage here because you can do.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Some more things with it.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Obviously, pancakes you can put ingredients inside of it.
- 36:47Speaker 4: But the French toast has egg. It's just heavy.
- 36:50Speaker 3: You could throw a little bit of like cinnamon in
- 36:51Speaker 3: there on top of it.
- 36:54Speaker 4: But I feel like it's it's an unfair advantage.
- 36:56Speaker 8: Would you guys agree that waffle seems to have the
- 36:58Speaker 8: highest variants of the three.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Yes, I think we're going to have a terrible terrible waffles. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 3: But had that note Because of that, I go waffles, one,
- 37:10Speaker 3: French toast, two pancakes three.
- 37:12Speaker 5: Okay, man, I am torn here, I really am.
- 37:15Speaker 4: You know this is right up my wheelhouse.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Not only yeah, we're gonna go to you last, decended yes, okay.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Yes, yes, that's yes. I was going to go to
- 37:23Speaker 4: you last because sorry I was.
- 37:25Speaker 14: I was trying to buy you some time to.
- 37:26Speaker 1: No one knows your wheelhouse like I do. Okay, let's
- 37:29Speaker 1: go to Iowa, Sam. I was Sam, Yes, I want
- 37:33Speaker 1: you to power rank these three. Okay, all right, Waffles, pancakes,
- 37:37Speaker 1: and French toast.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 37:38Speaker 13: I am going to put waffles at number one because
- 37:41Speaker 13: you have all these different toppings. Waffles also can be
- 37:43Speaker 13: nice and crunchy and kind of hold all those toppings.
- 37:46Speaker 13: It's a nice texture. I'm gonna put pancakes at two.
- 37:49Speaker 13: You can put toppings on pancakes as well. Sometimes some
- 37:52Speaker 13: pancakes can be kind of soggy, but you can put it.
- 37:55Speaker 13: You can probably eat a whole stack of pancakes and
- 37:57Speaker 13: still go for more. And I do like French toast.
- 38:00Speaker 13: I'm putting it at three because it usually is just
- 38:01Speaker 13: powdered sugar, butter and syrup or whatever it is. You
- 38:04Speaker 13: could probably throw some peanut butter on there or something,
- 38:06Speaker 13: but French toast is probably the last thing i'd rank there.
- 38:08Speaker 3: So Waffles, pancake, French toast all agree that you could
- 38:11Speaker 3: throw toppings on all three of them.
- 38:12Speaker 13: You can, you absolutely can, but we're gonna push it.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Probably just rate it by the actual The top ring
- 38:17Speaker 4: itself is waffles. Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Yes, I enjoyed the breakdown. I always saying, let's go
- 38:21Speaker 1: to bardot Ricardo. Bardot Ricardo Power ranked the three for us.
- 38:26Speaker 15: I'm also going waffles number one, clearly chicken and waffles.
- 38:30Speaker 15: No one's mentioned that, which is a phenomenal dish. Yeah,
- 38:33Speaker 15: then we have I'm gonna go pancakes. Yeah, and then
- 38:37Speaker 15: French toast. French toast is just too much. I feel
- 38:39Speaker 15: like it's too sweet, too much in the morning.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I agree.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Let's go to executive producer Jason who's in Sherman Oaks.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Power ranked the three for us if you don't mind.
- 38:49Speaker 10: At the top of my list is pancakes. Nothing is
- 38:51Speaker 10: better than pancakes. Really, then waffles than French toast. Wow,
- 38:57Speaker 10: I'm a man, so I don't order French toast.
- 39:02Speaker 4: I'll follow you.
- 39:04Speaker 13: Feything with powdered sugar on it. Too fancy for Jason.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go to Let's go to update anchor Dan,
- 39:13Speaker 1: Update anchor Dan.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Would you mind ranking Power ranking the three for us?
- 39:17Speaker 16: Absolutely? If anybody asked me what my favorite dish that
- 39:20Speaker 16: my wife makes, it's her French toast numero uno.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Wow, Well two waffles three? You just can you clarify
- 39:30Speaker 4: for me? You are a man?
- 39:32Speaker 16: I am a man, okay, all contrary to what Jason thinks.
- 39:36Speaker 4: I am a man.
- 39:38Speaker 13: I'm a man, Dan the contrarian man.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Wow, So Dan, like, what were you pro Like you
- 39:44Speaker 1: were going through the whole thing there and you had
- 39:46Speaker 1: to say French toast first.
- 39:48Speaker 5: In the event that your wife was listening to this, I'll.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Tell you it's good.
- 39:51Speaker 16: It's really it's it's it's top the haunch, it's anybody else's.
- 39:56Speaker 16: It may be pancakes number one. And I want to
- 39:58Speaker 16: get on the wrong side of Ricardo. I think chicken
- 40:00Speaker 16: and waffles are overrated.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, damn Bayer, my man.
- 40:06Speaker 13: Can I add one thing here about one thing? It's
- 40:09Speaker 13: just one thing about French toast?
- 40:11Speaker 5: Is it?
- 40:12Speaker 8: Andy Reid?
- 40:13Speaker 13: Andy Reid's favorite sandwich is the Monte Cristo, which is
- 40:16Speaker 13: basically French toast with him and Swiss added in there.
- 40:19Speaker 13: And it's like the salty and the sweet. If you
- 40:21Speaker 13: got some cranberry dipping sauce.
- 40:22Speaker 5: Very good.
- 40:23Speaker 13: Monte Cristo number four back to you.
- 40:26Speaker 8: I've never I've never seen I would say I'm this efficient.
- 40:30Speaker 1: It's his wheel House, Mike, Mike Wheelhouse offs.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:38Speaker 13: They they used to do the Monte Cristo delicious.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I love a good monte Crista. I did Taylor
- 40:45Speaker 4: power right the three.
- 40:46Speaker 8: For us because of the variants, I am going waffles
- 40:51Speaker 8: at number one. I'm considering all these teams for all
- 40:54Speaker 8: these items at their best, and waffles for me clear
- 40:58Speaker 8: number one spot. Then I'm going freend toast two. He
- 41:01Speaker 8: kicks three great?
- 41:03Speaker 4: All right, sounds like that list. Yeah. I think this
- 41:07Speaker 4: game is starting to be called power Rank Thursday. Maybe
- 41:10Speaker 4: think about it Thursday, think about it Thursday.
- 41:12Speaker 8: I could have yes, yes, I could have hadd anything there.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Next week think loud power Rank Yes, yes, no waffling
- 41:19Speaker 4: for me here waffles number one. How about that? Waffles
- 41:22Speaker 4: are great.
- 41:23Speaker 1: If you asked me ten years ago, I would have
- 41:24Speaker 1: said no, don't like waffles. But things change as you
- 41:27Speaker 1: get older, you know, taste buds, pallets, all that stuff,
- 41:31Speaker 1: and now waffles is my favorite thing. I don't like
- 41:33Speaker 1: to be full. I hate being full. And you know
- 41:36Speaker 1: what makes me full, French toast. Get French toast out
- 41:39Speaker 1: of here. Okay, give me waffles. Give me a nice
- 41:43Speaker 1: light pancake, second, French toast.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Third, how about it's not there?
- 41:48Speaker 5: You break it?
- 41:49Speaker 4: You're not getting them out of here, you're just ranking
- 41:50Speaker 4: them one through.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Listen, listen.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I thought about it because we're it's a think about
- 41:57Speaker 1: it Thursday, and what I thought about is I cannot
- 42:00Speaker 1: stand French Toast, never liked it, never will like it,
- 42:04Speaker 1: and it doesn't deserve to be on any top three list.
- 42:06Speaker 8: Of But then you'll leave to Monte Cristo.
- 42:08Speaker 5: Then yeah, well that you know what. That's lunching myself
- 42:11Speaker 5: all the time.
- 42:12Speaker 13: I know, yeah, okay, different, different, different, you know, yeah, meals.
- 42:16Speaker 8: Yes, can we agree that we might all have different
- 42:19Speaker 8: power rankings, but whatever Mikey says will be the show's
- 42:23Speaker 8: power rank.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Well, it's true, yes, because what what what student let
- 42:27Speaker 3: him get out earlier was the reason it's right up
- 42:29Speaker 3: his wheelhouse is because his father has owned a diner
- 42:32Speaker 3: for years and years, and so I mean, obviously these
- 42:35Speaker 3: are the forty things.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Of a diner.
- 42:37Speaker 14: Yep arrives, he's owned it, and one of you nailed
- 42:41Speaker 14: it absolutely It was me and that person is definitely
- 42:44Speaker 14: not in Sherman Oaks. I don't know what they're doing
- 42:46Speaker 14: out there, but you guys are put waffles are clear
- 42:49Speaker 14: number one.
- 42:50Speaker 8: I said, number one from Mikey.
- 42:54Speaker 14: What they feed you in Sherman Oaks. Go have an
- 42:56Speaker 14: avocado smoothie. I don't know what.
- 43:00Speaker 11: One.
- 43:00Speaker 14: Number two for versatility alone is French toast, and number
- 43:05Speaker 14: three is pancakes. Planned they need help, sorry, definitive rankings.
- 43:12Speaker 3: You know what a little tiny advantage that waffles and
- 43:15Speaker 3: pancakes also have is they have small versions that are
- 43:18Speaker 3: perfectly acceptable, silver Dollar pancakes, the little and Little mini waffles,
- 43:22Speaker 3: which I had one this morning.
- 43:24Speaker 8: We are going to look back in twenty years and
- 43:25Speaker 8: be like, think about it Thursday, Save Sports Radio.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yep, we are to put it on the.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Phone about Hokman and Crowder are gonna get no credit.
- 43:34Speaker 3: It's gonna jump directly to.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Us twenty This is all we're thinking about.
- 43:41Speaker 5: On the Poul Taylor. Twenty years from now? Are we
- 43:44Speaker 5: going to think.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Back to think about it Thursday and it's saving sports Radio?
- 43:48Speaker 4: I agree with you. You saved the show today. I want
- 43:52Speaker 4: to think about it Thursday, twenty years from now. It's
- 43:54Speaker 4: gonna be think about this.
- 43:56Speaker 3: This segment was saved Save Sports Radio twenty years go
- 44:00Speaker 3: by Taylor Pipolis.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Yeah, is this the thing you're proud of? Stuff on
- 44:08Speaker 5: your resume?
- 44:10Speaker 8: Would be Yeah, probably would be the first line.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Is this the end of the game because we still
- 44:14Speaker 3: have about five minutes to film?
- 44:17Speaker 5: Oh we do. I could fill it with a no,
- 44:22Speaker 5: is he listen?
- 44:23Speaker 1: If we're going to take the listeners inside the show,
- 44:26Speaker 1: this is the time we're supposed to.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Break We just never do.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Okay, you could because we're busy thinking about it on
- 44:33Speaker 1: a Thursday.
- 44:34Speaker 4: That's why.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I mean, if we wanted to you know, clock management
- 44:39Speaker 1: and do this thing correctly, we should be breaking it
- 44:41Speaker 1: like twelve thirteen after the hour every single time.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Well, we usually break
- 44:45Speaker 1: It eighteen after the hour, which is why we're always
- 44:47Speaker 1: catching up the entire rest of the show.
