- 0:07Speaker 1: We are not exporting. We are not exporting enrichment capability
- 0:11Speaker 1: to the Saudis. These are civilian nuclear power plants as
- 0:15Speaker 1: the Saudis look to diversify. But the difference is they've
- 0:18Speaker 1: signed up for full inspections. There is no enrichment. Compare
- 0:23Speaker 1: that with what's going on in Iran, the largest state
- 0:25Speaker 1: sponsor of terrorism, kicking out the inspectors. This is about
- 0:29Speaker 1: civilian nuclear power, very different than Iran's obsession.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Republican's maintained. President Trump is executing his peace through Strength
- 0:37Speaker 2: playbook by signing an historic agreement with Saudi Arabia. Hello everyone,
- 0:41Speaker 2: and welcome to the final hour of the Big weekend show.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Tensions remain elevated in the Middle East after Huki rebels
- 0:48Speaker 2: launched an attack striking Saudi oil facilities with dozens of
- 0:52Speaker 2: ballistic missiles and drones. This all comes as the United
- 0:55Speaker 2: States and Saudi Arabia signed their nuclear agreement, giving American
- 0:59Speaker 2: companies priority to build reactors in the country. Head of
- 1:02Speaker 2: his Tuesday meeting with President Trump at the White House,
- 1:05Speaker 2: is Raeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanya, who is praising the deal.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I think President Trump was absolutely right in stating that condition.
- 1:15Speaker 3: You know that Saudi Arabia would get a civilian nuclear
- 1:19Speaker 3: program in exchange for a normalization of relations with Israel.
- 1:24Speaker 3: It's a great achievement, historic achievement, and obviously we'll be
- 1:28Speaker 3: delighted if we could extend it to Saudi Arabia and
- 1:30Speaker 3: other countries. And I think if we weaken Iran further,
- 1:33Speaker 3: we will.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Meanwhile, democrats are critical.
- 1:38Speaker 3: We're going to have more nuclear weapons in the Middle
- 1:40Speaker 3: East to set off another nuclear arms race there.
- 1:44Speaker 2: But if Saudi Arabia has no does not need all
- 1:47Speaker 2: the proto cause et cetera, deny could cause.
- 1:50Speaker 3: An arms race where Egyptians or others in the area
- 1:53Speaker 3: wants in nuclear.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Weapen he's going to provide the materials for nuclear weapons
- 1:57Speaker 2: to Saudi Arabia.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Is the dawn of a new nuclear ams race in
- 2:01Speaker 4: the Middle East.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Joining us for tonight's big close up is a member
- 2:05Speaker 2: of the House Armed Services Committee, Senator Armed Services Committee
- 2:08Speaker 2: and Indiana Senator Jim Banks, Senator, thank you so much
- 2:11Speaker 2: for joining us this evening. I want to get your
- 2:14Speaker 2: take first. Are you waiting to hear some more details
- 2:17Speaker 2: from the administration on what this agreement is?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Do you support it?
- 2:20Speaker 2: And do you support the timing of it.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Well, Saudi Arabia is an ally, an important ally to
- 2:27Speaker 5: the United States. And by the way, the hu This
- 2:30Speaker 5: and Iran have turned almost all of the rest of
- 2:33Speaker 5: the Middle East into stronger allies with the United States.
- 2:37Speaker 5: That's the good news. And if President Trump can expand
- 2:40Speaker 5: on the Abraham Accords from the first Trump term by
- 2:44Speaker 5: normalizing relations with Israel and Saudi Arabia, the Middle East
- 2:48Speaker 5: will be as strong and peaceful as it's ever been,
- 2:51Speaker 5: as we continue to maintain that Iran will ever have
- 2:53Speaker 5: a nuclear weapons. So get President Trump a lot of
- 2:56Speaker 5: credit here in what he's done to foster and grow
- 3:00Speaker 5: peace agreements, strengthening the Abraham Accords. It's really probably the
- 3:05Speaker 5: most significant thing that he did in the first term,
- 3:07Speaker 5: and he's only expanding upon it in this term as well.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Of course, the Democrats hate it. They hate the idea
- 3:13Speaker 5: that President Trump will be the one who will go
- 3:15Speaker 5: down in history who will negotiate peace in the Middle East.
- 3:19Speaker 5: But that's exactly what President Trump has done.
- 3:21Speaker 6: The Senator, I'm looking at markets right now when WTI
- 3:25Speaker 6: is that eighty four brent Is briefly did below ninety.
- 3:30Speaker 6: We were close to one hundred on Friday. Looks like
- 3:33Speaker 6: after a couple nights of not striking Iran, I think
- 3:36Speaker 6: the oil markets are hoping that maybe we can ease
- 3:39Speaker 6: some tensions and sort of reopen the Strait of Hormuz
- 3:42Speaker 6: if Omani and Irani officials start talking together and figuring
- 3:46Speaker 6: out a plan for that. How are you thinking about
- 3:50Speaker 6: a ceasefire, a new memorandum of understanding? What would a
- 3:55Speaker 6: positive next step look like to you?
- 4:00Speaker 5: It just goes to show you see the stock markets,
- 4:02Speaker 5: futures are reacting as well. Oil prices are dipping, and
- 4:06Speaker 5: as as as soon as President Trump brings Aroan to
- 4:09Speaker 5: the table and they cry uncle and agree that they
- 4:12Speaker 5: will never have a nuclear weapon, then gas prices are
- 4:15Speaker 5: going to plummet to lower than we've ever seen before,
- 4:17Speaker 5: thanks to the early Trump oil and energy policies that
- 4:22Speaker 5: he enacted, uprooting the Green New Deal from the Biden administration.
- 4:26Speaker 5: So that's all good news. But at the end of
- 4:29Speaker 5: the day, President Trump, and you heard you an Ambassador
- 4:32Speaker 5: Mike Waltz, make this very clear this morning, President Trump's
- 4:35Speaker 5: not going to allow Iran to ever have a nuclear weapon,
- 4:39Speaker 5: and we will do whatever necessary to prevent them from
- 4:42Speaker 5: having one, and to keep the strait of removes open
- 4:45Speaker 5: as well. So as you see a timeline here with
- 4:50Speaker 5: less strikes and less action, hopefully that will give a
- 4:54Speaker 5: Roan a time right now to come back and do
- 4:58Speaker 5: what President Trump and have said that they want to do.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Strike a deal that re them requires that they will
- 5:05Speaker 5: never have a nuclear weapon, and we will move on
- 5:07Speaker 5: and oil prices will be lower than we've ever seen before.
- 5:10Speaker 7: We're all very hopeful for that, cautiously optimistic. All right,
- 5:14Speaker 7: I want to turn to this now, Senator. The House
- 5:16Speaker 7: officially passed the twenty twenty seven National Defense Authorization Act,
- 5:20Speaker 7: adding text of the Save America Act to that bill.
- 5:24Speaker 7: It now heads to the showdown in the Senate. There's
- 5:27Speaker 7: a lot of frustration, Senator, with you and your fellow senators.
- 5:32Speaker 7: Quite frankly, Republicans are frustrated that their Republican senators aren't
- 5:36Speaker 7: able to get voter id proof of citizenship and some
- 5:39Speaker 7: of the other parts of the Save America Act across
- 5:42Speaker 7: the finish line. I want you to shoot it very
- 5:44Speaker 7: straight with us. Is there a chance, is there a
- 5:47Speaker 7: snowballs chance in hell that we get the Save America
- 5:50Speaker 7: Act in any iteration through the Senate to the President.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Well, this is the fifth time the House has passed
- 5:57Speaker 5: the Save America Act. I'm frustrated too. They should abandon
- 6:01Speaker 5: the so called traditions and the filibuster rules, nuke the filibuster,
- 6:06Speaker 5: do whatever it takes to pass the Save America Act.
- 6:08Speaker 5: I think the NDAA and the upcoming reconciliation package that
- 6:13Speaker 5: the House is going to send over to the Senate
- 6:15Speaker 5: are the best opportunities that we have to pass Save
- 6:18Speaker 5: America Act requiring voter ID. The NDAA is very important
- 6:21Speaker 5: for our troops in our military, and by the way,
- 6:24Speaker 5: Democrats are blocking funding for our military at a time
- 6:28Speaker 5: when we need to replenish our munition stockpiles and support
- 6:31Speaker 5: our military. So that's the perfect bill to put the
- 6:36Speaker 5: Save America Act in. The Democrats are all against it.
- 6:38Speaker 5: They don't want to support our military, and the Democrats
- 6:41Speaker 5: don't want voter ID. So let's put every Republican on
- 6:44Speaker 5: the record and support of it and pass it and
- 6:47Speaker 5: save this country and head into the midterms with the
- 6:50Speaker 5: best hand that we have to keep the majorities in
- 6:51Speaker 5: the House in the Senate. I fear what will happen
- 6:54Speaker 5: if we don't pass the Save America Act on election
- 6:57Speaker 5: day in the midterm elections.
- 6:58Speaker 7: Yeah, I have the same year a senator, do you
- 7:01Speaker 7: think that you should forego the upcoming recess to get
- 7:05Speaker 7: this done?
- 7:07Speaker 5: I'm all for it. We don't need a recess. Let's
- 7:10Speaker 5: pass the Save America Act. It's more important than taking
- 7:14Speaker 5: a break taking a recess. And I'm back in Indiana
- 7:18Speaker 5: for the weekend. I head back to Washington tomorrow. I've
- 7:20Speaker 5: heard from people everywhere I go, from the diner this
- 7:23Speaker 5: morning to the grocery store. Pass the Save America Act.
- 7:27Speaker 5: We have to get it done. Is so fundamental to
- 7:29Speaker 5: the future of this country. To make sure that American
- 7:32Speaker 5: elections are only for Americans. By the way, the biggest
- 7:34Speaker 5: story this week was the Democrat governor in New Jersey
- 7:38Speaker 5: admitting the sixty six hundred illegals were accidentally registered to
- 7:42Speaker 5: vote and hundreds of them actually voted in the last
- 7:45Speaker 5: two elections in New Jersey. If that can happen there
- 7:47Speaker 5: and even a Democrat is admitting it, it's the biggest
- 7:51Speaker 5: It's yet the biggest reason and example of why we
- 7:55Speaker 5: have to pass the Save America Act.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Senator Jason Chaffins, here, you've been introduced legislation to end
- 8:01Speaker 4: birthright citizenship for illegals after the Supreme Court struck down
- 8:06Speaker 4: President Trump's executive order. Tell us more about your Citizenship
- 8:10Speaker 4: Act and how it would give Congress authority over naturalization
- 8:14Speaker 4: and label illegal aliens as invaders. Why is that language
- 8:18Speaker 4: specifically important.
- 8:21Speaker 5: Well, it's the most important language, Jason, because the Supreme
- 8:25Speaker 5: Court struck down the President's executive order. But what all
- 8:28Speaker 5: nine Supreme Court justices agree on is that the babies
- 8:32Speaker 5: of invaders into our country are not eligible for birthright citizenship.
- 8:37Speaker 5: So we don't need a constitutional amendment. We can pass
- 8:40Speaker 5: a simple bill in Congress that declares an invasion at
- 8:44Speaker 5: the southern border. We've done it, by the way, for
- 8:46Speaker 5: we've declared pirates not see spies in the past, as
- 8:51Speaker 5: invaders into our country. Yet the number of illegals, the
- 8:54Speaker 5: tens of millions of illegals that have come to our
- 8:57Speaker 5: country is so greater and such a bigger threat to
- 8:59Speaker 5: the future of our country than either of those types
- 9:02Speaker 5: of invaders. So declare an invasion and then declare that
- 9:05Speaker 5: the babies of those invaders are not eligible for birthright citizenship.
- 9:09Speaker 5: That's what my bill, Brandon Gill introduced it in the House.
- 9:12Speaker 5: It's simple, it's got a substantial amount of support, and
- 9:16Speaker 5: it would ban birthright citizenship for illegals. I think truly
- 9:19Speaker 5: an existential threat to the United States of America.
- 9:23Speaker 2: All right, Senator Jim Banks, thanks very much for joining
- 9:26Speaker 2: us tonight.
