- 0:02Speaker 1: Let me see if I can do this. Oh dude,
- 0:04Speaker 1: it's here we go. I don't know what the calendar is.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Your calendar confuses me and and melts my brain. I'm unfrozen,
- 0:11Speaker 1: cave man lawyer. But you've got scary spice, scary spice,
- 0:14Speaker 1: sporty spice, posh spice, baby spice. Jerry Hollywell with her
- 0:18Speaker 1: red hair was.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Do you think I have any idea? I don't know
- 0:23Speaker 2: what you're talking about. Who are you saying? Well? Right now?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Any one of them could be old spices? But bump, no, kidding, kidding, kidding,
- 0:32Speaker 1: she was. She was ginger spice, and she oh what
- 0:36Speaker 1: is she? She is fifty four?
- 0:39Speaker 2: So I got you. We'll go for that. I don't know,
- 0:41Speaker 2: you know, yeah, it.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Can't be Bob Dylan and Elton John every day so.
- 0:45Speaker 2: They tell you what tell? I want to tell you
- 0:46Speaker 2: what I want. What I really really want is that them. Okay,
- 0:50Speaker 2: I knew that. I knew that one of them. I
- 0:52Speaker 2: know I know enough about that. Okay, moving on Happy Thursday. Hey, anyway,
- 0:57Speaker 2: did you know Rosie O'Donnell came back? I thought you
- 1:00Speaker 2: lived in Ireland, didn't didn't Trump push her out? And
- 1:03Speaker 2: she fled for Ireland. She's back doing Broadway shows. She's
- 1:07Speaker 2: gonna be on Grimmy Kimmel.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Rosie O'Donnell on Jimmy Kimmel for a week,
- 1:15Speaker 1: for a week for a guest hosting. He takes off,
- 1:21Speaker 1: He takes off like nine months for like he's worse
- 1:24Speaker 1: than you refication, And so he's got like a really
- 1:27Speaker 1: long summer break and he gets all these guest hosts
- 1:29Speaker 1: and Rosie's going to be one of the guest hosts
- 1:31Speaker 1: for a week, and and there's already drama and they're
- 1:34Speaker 1: already you know it.
- 1:35Speaker 2: ABC. They're saying, what have we done? What have we done?
- 1:38Speaker 2: She wrote she did a song to this to from
- 1:42Speaker 2: the from the Wizard of Oz talking about Trump's dirty
- 1:47Speaker 2: diapers whatever, and she wants to sing it on the show,
- 1:50Speaker 2: and ABC won't let her. And now she's mad that
- 1:54Speaker 2: ABC won't let her sing the song.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Why why won't they? They are they well, they think
- 1:58Speaker 1: it's well, they think it's gross. And Jimmy Kibble's savage attack,
- 2:05Speaker 1: I mean, I know, you mean literally scatologically gross. I know.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Well, no, it's the whole thing about his his genitals
- 2:11Speaker 2: and his diper I mean, it's some buffy but she's
- 2:15Speaker 2: complaining now, and she's whining before she even gets the gig.
- 2:19Speaker 2: And you know, the executors are saying, was there such
- 2:21Speaker 2: a good idea? I mean, and she, by the way,
- 2:25Speaker 2: she's got a face lift. She's back with a face lift.
- 2:27Speaker 2: She's out of fact, she's.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Just a but you know what they But just as
- 2:32Speaker 1: soon as you say that, first of all, I will
- 2:35Speaker 1: I will drive miles to avoid watching this or whatever
- 2:38Speaker 1: I have to do to avoid any eyeball of mine
- 2:41Speaker 1: from seeing it. And here's the thing, and this makes
- 2:45Speaker 1: me a little crazy. I'm watching The five yesterday on
- 2:47Speaker 1: Fox and like, oh, here's a whole segment and something
- 2:50Speaker 1: Rosie O'Donnell said, can we shut up? Can we? And
- 2:53Speaker 1: I know you and I are actually doing it, but
- 2:55Speaker 1: we we talk about everything, and some of the things
- 2:57Speaker 1: we talk about are the fact that people are talking
- 2:59Speaker 1: about things. It was kind of meta. But I've been
- 3:02Speaker 1: just like, oh, here's the latest, you know, stupid thing
- 3:04Speaker 1: that some like, what please, can we starve her of attention?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Rhyll tired mogments over the latest dumb thing? The market
- 3:13Speaker 1: service irrelevant person said.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The Mark Davis rule know what to avoid Tucker to
- 3:18Speaker 2: wis comes to my.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Wish knowing whom you have before you go to talk
- 3:22Speaker 1: her for you go to talk before you go to talker,
- 3:23Speaker 1: for you go to Tucker. The last thing on Rosie
- 3:25Speaker 1: because I talk about not talking about her when you
- 3:28Speaker 1: talk about her hosting a show, there are people who
- 3:31Speaker 1: are probably thirty thirty five who have no memory of
- 3:34Speaker 1: what I'm about to describe. And that was the Rosie
- 3:36Speaker 1: O'Donnell who was so likable they called her the Queen
- 3:40Speaker 1: of nice. Remember, and that was and what was that? From?
- 3:43Speaker 2: That was?
- 3:43Speaker 1: From that was a daytime show, right sort of Rella
- 3:46Speaker 1: and Oprah. She had a daytime talk show. She was funny,
- 3:49Speaker 1: she was pleasant, she was kind. I thought her stand
- 3:53Speaker 1: up was pretty good. She's a smart and funny woman. Trump,
- 3:57Speaker 1: the TDS broke her. Trump broke her. And this is
- 4:00Speaker 1: her coming back to the sort of the realm that
- 4:03Speaker 1: that led to her ascendancy. So okay, enough about that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: They've had, they've had. Look, Rosie and Trump have a
- 4:09Speaker 1: few that goes back many, many years. It even predated
- 4:12Speaker 1: when he made the comment about only Rosie O'Donnell in
- 4:15Speaker 1: the debate, when when Megan Kelly and that.
- 4:18Speaker 2: But look, that's look to be fair, that's got to
- 4:21Speaker 2: be pretty hard. That's brutal to watch a worldwide debate
- 4:24Speaker 2: like that and see you it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Was because she said you've called women pigs and he
- 4:28Speaker 1: went only Rosie o'donnald Ow. Wow, a president on a
- 4:32Speaker 1: presidential debate stage.
- 4:35Speaker 2: That's when that's when you knew this thing was off
- 4:38Speaker 2: the rails, that the rules have changed. That's the moment
- 4:41Speaker 2: you knew that, well, this is not like a JFK.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Richard Nixon debate or anything things Douglas. No, this is
- 4:49Speaker 2: not Abraham Lincoln and Douglas. This is a whole different
- 4:52Speaker 2: world we're in. I was talking to a friend last
- 4:55Speaker 2: night and he said, Mike, in there part of you
- 4:57Speaker 2: that'll be kind of glad when Trump or you know,
- 5:00Speaker 2: gets through his second term and he kind of you know,
- 5:04Speaker 2: goes into retirement whatever he's going to do, will it
- 5:06Speaker 2: be easier or harder for you as a talk show host?
- 5:09Speaker 2: I said, look, it'll be harder. Are you calling you?
- 5:11Speaker 2: We're going to go back to find your material again
- 5:14Speaker 2: right now?
- 5:14Speaker 1: That's good, but you note private sector Trump could be
- 5:18Speaker 1: the best when he no longer has to worry about
- 5:21Speaker 1: anything or anybody, or the image of his administration or
- 5:26Speaker 1: the functionality of government private sector. Trump on January twentieth,
- 5:30Speaker 1: twenty twenty nine, can't get ready.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't think worries about anybody. Now, I don't pretty
- 5:38Speaker 2: right about that. We're not thinking all. I don't think.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I don't think of Trump and guardrails, you know, I mean,
- 5:43Speaker 2: I'm just not in the same sense I peeled you.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I peeled you off a Tucker. There's talking, and he's
- 5:49Speaker 2: talking to for something. No, no, no, he did yesterday.
- 5:52Speaker 2: He did a very highly publicized announced ten part plan
- 5:58Speaker 2: for his new party. He's got some new party that
- 6:01Speaker 2: he wants and Marjorie Taylor Green's a part of it.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Uh and uh, what's his name, the guy Thomas Massey.
- 6:09Speaker 2: There's a hand for them, and they're they're embracing an
- 6:12Speaker 2: alternative because because mag Trump has let everybody down. Trump,
- 6:17Speaker 2: You'll have.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Some followers, you can you and I can find some
- 6:19Speaker 1: people on the phone lines today say dude, I voted
- 6:22Speaker 1: for Trump from because I didn't want any more forever
- 6:24Speaker 1: wars and I didn't want babb blah blah blah blah.
- 6:26Speaker 1: There are some disaffected disaffected core, MAGA, former Mega, people
- 6:32Speaker 1: who have who've who've gone dark on him. But are
- 6:35Speaker 1: there a lot of them where this party will make
- 6:37Speaker 1: a difference. No, No, The key is it will get attention.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Though. The key is those three words you use. There
- 6:42Speaker 2: are some well, yeah, there's some. There's also some people
- 6:45Speaker 2: that are convinced that Elvis is living in the Greek
- 6:47Speaker 2: Islands right now and hanging out with JFK. I mean,
- 6:50Speaker 2: you can find some people to embrace anything. But look,
- 6:54Speaker 2: it is interesting to me that other than Tucker, and look,
- 6:58Speaker 2: he's not a relevant voice. No, I mean no, But
- 7:02Speaker 2: but other than Tucker, there isn't really much of a
- 7:05Speaker 2: pushback on Iran from MAGA and I and I have
- 7:08Speaker 2: to admit I'm surprised at that. I thought there would
- 7:10Speaker 2: be more because yeah, you could make the argument, wait
- 7:13Speaker 2: a minute, we're not supposed to be in forever wars
- 7:17Speaker 2: there we I think Maga has confidence Trump supporters have
- 7:21Speaker 2: faith that he's going to bring this thing to a conclusion,
- 7:23Speaker 2: that we're going to start getting the straight open that
- 7:25Speaker 2: he's that they've kept Iran from getting to being able
- 7:28Speaker 2: to produce a nuclear weapon and it's going to work
- 7:31Speaker 2: out and there's a lot of faith. And look how
- 7:34Speaker 2: many times it looks like, you know, it's all over
- 7:37Speaker 2: for whatever Trump's doing, and then he manages to snatch
- 7:40Speaker 2: victory out of the jaws of defeat. He does it
- 7:42Speaker 2: over and over again. And I think instinctively that we
- 7:45Speaker 2: think he's going to do it again. I hope he does.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I hope he does. And will this be the big
- 7:50Speaker 1: Will this be the biggest example in both of his
- 7:52Speaker 1: presidential terms? I think it will if in some future day,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and it really better be weeks away. We've got some
- 7:58Speaker 1: reason to believe that this war is being brought to
- 8:00Speaker 1: a close. It'll be one of the most magnan and
- 8:03Speaker 1: not just for him or for the party, or for
- 8:05Speaker 1: us as conservatives, but for America and for the world,
- 8:07Speaker 1: because Iran will have been brought to heal. They will
- 8:10Speaker 1: not be a nuclear threat. That's the goal. Is it
- 8:12Speaker 1: a reachable goal? I pray that it is.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Fireworks going on right now though on Capitol Hill where
- 8:17Speaker 2: the Senators are giving remarks before the fouc contempt vote.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Here we go. Now. I sense that you're uncomfortable with this.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I am too, to some degree. Well, I don't know.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I mean let's look at what am I uncomfortable with? Well,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:33Speaker 1: We know, I kind of love it.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I kind of love it. I also think that the
- 8:37Speaker 2: basis of it is his refusal his constitutional right to
- 8:42Speaker 2: invoke the Fifth Amendment. Now I always wonder about this
- 8:45Speaker 2: if you, if you or I are on trial for
- 8:48Speaker 2: something and we just plead the Fifth, I mean, automatically,
- 8:52Speaker 2: the assumption is, well, obviously we're guilty of something. Why
- 8:55Speaker 2: would you Why would you plead the fifth?
- 8:56Speaker 1: Which is which is not fair? It's often true, but
- 8:59Speaker 1: it's not fair.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Okay, Well, that's that's the there's the distinction that it's
- 9:03Speaker 2: not true, but it's not fair. It's true, but it's
- 9:06Speaker 2: not fair. So my question, we have a constitutional right. Look,
- 9:10Speaker 2: believe me, I'm no fan of Fauci, and I'm not
- 9:12Speaker 2: trying to defend this little understand and the guy fer fair.
- 9:18Speaker 2: But if the reason they're holding him up for contempt
- 9:22Speaker 2: is that he pled the Fifth and yet you have
- 9:24Speaker 2: a constitutional right to plead the fifth, where do you
- 9:27Speaker 2: go with that? Mark? I mean, why is why is
- 9:31Speaker 2: his pleading the fifth a de facto contemptible offense if
- 9:36Speaker 2: you've got the right to do it and this guy. Look,
- 9:38Speaker 2: I know a guy named Mark Davis who defended his
- 9:41Speaker 2: decision to plead the Fifth over what color a tie
- 9:43Speaker 2: he had on.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I understand that, I understand.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I don't understand it.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Well, i'll tell you what. No, here's the thing. But
- 9:49Speaker 1: then then I got better because I thought, Okay, if
- 9:52Speaker 1: he answers even one question like what day is it?
- 9:54Speaker 1: And what color is my tie, Hawlly or anybody else
- 9:57Speaker 1: can go, well, if you're so factually sure of that,
- 9:59Speaker 1: why an't you factually sure of the lab lea. He
- 10:02Speaker 1: doesn't have to explain that. Here's why he's doing that. Also,
- 10:06Speaker 1: the color of the tie and the what day is it?
- 10:09Speaker 1: There's no risk of self incrimination on the answers to
- 10:12Speaker 1: those questions of those, thank you legal scholars, those are
- 10:15Speaker 1: not Fifth Amendment worthy, So he could he did not
- 10:18Speaker 1: have the right to do that.
- 10:19Speaker 2: He could have angged. And I think that the not
- 10:22Speaker 2: answering the things that you knew were factually and objectively true,
- 10:26Speaker 2: like what color is the carpet or your tie? That
- 10:29Speaker 2: may be why they're going to say, you know what,
- 10:31Speaker 2: you abused the Fifth Amendment. You didn't you invoked the
- 10:35Speaker 2: Fifth Amendment again self incrimination when you didn't have to,
- 10:38Speaker 2: and that shows that shows your contempt for Congress.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Look, I may even be and there may even be
- 10:44Speaker 1: some things about because it's funny. This is what this
- 10:47Speaker 1: is the deep dive I want to take even further
- 10:49Speaker 1: and the scholarship that needs to be explored on this,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and I'm sure the committee staff has done this. You
- 10:56Speaker 1: can you have a general right to plead the fifth
- 10:58Speaker 1: if you think your answer is going to get you
- 11:00Speaker 1: led away in handcuffs. That self incrimination yet, But there's
- 11:03Speaker 1: some things before Congress. Congress is not the judiciary. Contempt
- 11:07Speaker 1: of Congress. There may be some things that dog on it.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You just got to answer even that where that protection
- 11:12Speaker 1: of the Fifth Amendment does not fully apply. And so
- 11:15Speaker 1: we'll see if they can. If they find some they
- 11:17Speaker 1: better better be by the dot, the i's, cross the t's,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and have it be by the letter of procedures. So
- 11:22Speaker 1: we'll see how that.
- 11:23Speaker 2: We're going to find out shortly, keep it, keep it
- 11:25Speaker 2: tuned right here, to find out how they how they
- 11:27Speaker 2: vote in the US Senate. Because this panel is now meeting,
- 11:30Speaker 2: they've got opening statements. Ron Johnson's fired up. We'll have
- 11:33Speaker 2: all of it for you, Ran Paul of course leading
- 11:36Speaker 2: the charge, and I'm sure that'll be something we'll cover
- 11:38Speaker 2: on eminem Extra today on the Whitest.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Why yes, because by the time we're doing that midday
- 11:44Speaker 1: and then of course it lands on Apple and Spotify
- 11:46Speaker 1: later in the afternoon, we'll have that to talk about
- 11:48Speaker 1: in the rear view mirror, as well as various other things.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And tomorrow on.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Out and tomorrow and tomorrow Tech Day on Friday. Tomorrow, Friday,
- 11:59Speaker 2: we're going to talk about data centers. I want to
- 12:01Speaker 2: try to get Steve Cortes on. I like that guy
- 12:03Speaker 2: has I think he's out of Chicago. He's a big
- 12:06Speaker 2: anti data center guy. So I want to ask Steve, Okay,
- 12:09Speaker 2: well let's let now do China. Now talk about what
- 12:13Speaker 2: we're supposed to do. You don't want that in your backyard,
- 12:16Speaker 2: Well we're going to let China just roll over us
- 12:18Speaker 2: with this technology and flock cameras.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, buddy, license plate readers a great idea for law
- 12:24Speaker 1: enforcement or a terrible invasion of privacy. The answer is
- 12:27Speaker 1: probably both. So that's tomorrow on eminem Extra. But all
- 12:30Speaker 1: you do is go to YouTube, Apple, Spotify, M and
- 12:33Speaker 1: M Extra like it subscribe to it, and we appreciate
