Listening More Than Speaking | Listening at the Throne
Most of us are much better at talking to God than we are at listening to Him. We bring our list, say our prayers, and move on before He has had a chance to respond. This prayer is an invitation to slow down and actually stay.
Valarie prays for the discipline to quiet our thoughts when we come to God in prayer, asking Him to slow every rushing and distracting spirit, help us recognize the wisdom and direction He is already giving us when we take the time to be still, and let our relationship with Him grow deeper as we learn not just to speak but to listen and apply what He speaks.
