- 0:27Hey everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:29coop. OK, today is day three of Food
- 0:33for Thought and we are talking about abundance.
- 0:38The fastest way to bring more wonderful abundance into your
- 0:42personal experience is to take notice of all the wonderful
- 0:47abundance that you have around you already in the small
- 0:50insignificant things that are around us.
- 0:53And this is something I've really talked about a lot in
- 0:57over my the years of my teaching.
- 0:59I practice it a lot daily, but even I am not 100% with this.
- 1:06I think it's very easy to notice what's wrong.
- 1:08As human beings, we are wired to see what's wrong in order to
- 1:12protect us. Because the more we see what's
- 1:14wrong, the better off protection we can give ourselves more.
- 1:17We can find out, OK, where do I need to be, you know, more
- 1:19cautious, where do I need to be more conservative?
- 1:22All of those little pieces. So we are hard wired for it and
- 1:24we can't get around it and it's just part of who we are.
- 1:27So that's fine and it does its job, but it also hinders our
- 1:32progress and everything else. Because when you are trying to
- 1:35attract things and you are trying to pull experiences into
- 1:38you and you want people to see you as a light that they want to
- 1:41be, you know, drawn to, you cannot be negative and expect
- 1:46them to want to be with you. It just doesn't work that way.
- 1:48So we, we, our job is to figure out how we can still be acting
- 1:54abundant and still have all of those good thoughts in order to
- 1:58be able to essentially attract what we're looking for.
- 2:03And that is a hard thing because when you think about it, it is
- 2:07100% true. If you want to pull things into
- 2:09your personal experience that demonstrate abundance, you have
- 2:13to make sure you're looking at all the small things that are
- 2:17around you already and be grateful for them.
- 2:20And again, I am great at this like 60% of the time.
- 2:24And then 40% of the time I won't notice stuff or I notice things
- 2:29visually, but I don't notice other things.
- 2:31So for me, I'll notice all these little tiny stuff, things that I
- 2:34take pictures of and all the stuff around the farm that like
- 2:37the patterns on the chickens, the beautiful eggs, all these
- 2:40things, the colors, the flowers, everything that it comes from
- 2:44nature. I'm really good with that, but
- 2:46with other things I am not and that is something that I need to
- 2:52work on this year because I recognize it.
- 2:54I will see things like the joke in my house is I see dirt so I
- 2:58can walk in and I can see every place they've been.
- 3:01I see their fingerprints on the refrigerator.
- 3:03I see the mess on the counter. I see that the water, someone
- 3:07used the sink and the water is all over the counter and nobody
- 3:09wiped it down, or they left a soaking wet hand towel on the
- 3:12counter rather than putting on a dry one.
- 3:14And these are things that I get annoyed with.
- 3:18So what does that do? That pulls me away from
- 3:20abundance. That pulls me away from seeing
- 3:22certain things in my world that could be very beneficial to
- 3:27having a cohesive happy family. But instead, well, I'm human, so
- 3:31I act human and I do human things, which is finding faults.
- 3:36So our job and in this time, especially this time of year, is
- 3:40looking at saying, what are these traits that I really want
- 3:44to amplify up? What are the things that I
- 3:45really want to give myself the gift of going into further when
- 3:51the new year starts to come in so that I'm playing the game in
- 3:54a way that serves me. So if you think about it, if you
- 3:58start to notice what's already there and find a way to be
- 4:01grateful for it, then you can move on.
- 4:04So I I have learned over time and talked about this many times
- 4:10about how one of the things for me is finding a dirty dish in
- 4:13the sink when the dishwasher is sitting there and it's empty.
- 4:16And someone could easily put the dish in the sink to the
- 4:19dishwasher. But I used to get very upset
- 4:21about that until I had this aha moment when the dish wasn't
- 4:26there and my husband was traveling and the dish wasn't in
- 4:30the sink. In the first couple days I was
- 4:31very excited that the dish wasn't in the sink.
- 4:33But then I started missing the dish and I started recognizing
- 4:36that the dish represented him in my life.
- 4:40And I thought to myself, wow, what a great lesson that is that
- 4:43the that The Dirty dish actually represents him in my life.
- 4:48So I've tried to bring that forward in other areas where
- 4:52when he's cooking and he cooks like Edward Scissorhands, the
- 4:55kitchen is always like, all over the place.
- 4:58And I'm the one that sees dirt. Remember I said that?
- 5:01So for me, it's very hard to stay focused on, oh, look at
- 5:05this amazing meal that he's making when I know the cleanup
- 5:09is going to take me a long time because I won't let him clean
- 5:12up. For those of you who are like,
- 5:13oh, have him clean up. Yeah, he would clean up, but it
- 5:16won't be I want, so then I have to do it.
- 5:19So if I have the rules, I have to do the clean up and I have to
- 5:22work through that. So the point is, if I start to
- 5:25notice it, I won't have so much frustration.
- 5:28I will. And then I will be able to track
- 5:30more abundant things into my life because I'm not spending
- 5:33time outside that level of energy.
- 5:37Food for thought, my friends. I'll see you tomorrow.
- 5:40Have a blessed day. Bye.
