- 0:26Welcome back to the Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly
- 0:30sports podcast show in the world, ten years strong, and we have got
- 0:34a great, great installment of opposition Territory coming to you this week. There's
- 0:40an NFL team that we have not discussed yet on this particular podcast episode.
- 0:45I can't believe it, after all of our opposition Territory shows, we have
- 0:49not gotten into this particular NFL team. They've had an interesting offseason, They've
- 0:53had an interesting past couple of seasons, and it's going to be fascinating to
- 0:58watch this coming too in twenty three NFL season to see where this team specifically
- 1:03goes within the AFC. We've got a great guest coming to us this week.
- 1:07Let's get right to it and to get into this Buffalo Bill's team,
- 1:11this powerhouse team in the AFC. It is great to have in the podcast
- 1:15for the very first time, coming to us all the way from Buffalo Rumblings.
- 1:21And I know she's out there on the interwebs doing some other great stuff.
- 1:23We have the one and only Sarah Larson, and I gotta say this
- 1:26too, it is her birthday today and she take the time to chow up
- 1:30on the psc podcast show and our Opposition Territory pod. Sarah, thanks so
- 1:34much for joining us here on your birthday, Happy one, Thank you,
- 1:38thank you, thank you for having me. Absolutely, you know what this
- 1:41Bill's team, you know, I gotta say, it's gonna be interesting.
- 1:45Philadelphia Eagle is gonna be facing the Bills this year. I actually forget where
- 1:49it's gonna be. It's it gonna be in Buffalo. I know it's Actually
- 1:52it's in Philadelphia. It's one of this It's one of the stadiums I have
- 1:55to visit, so it'll be fun. It'll be fun to check that stadium
- 1:59up there the list. But I've been told, I've been told I should
- 2:02probably sit with some Eagles fans so I have protection. Absolutely, there's listen.
- 2:07Regardless of the media narratives that are out there, Philly sports fans,
- 2:10Eagles fans in general, are some of the greatest people. If you are
- 2:15welcoming with them, they will be welcoming to you as well. It's how
- 2:17it is. It's how it isn't Buffalo as well, So I agree,
- 2:21Yeah, there you go. Well, let's get into this Buffalo Bills team
- 2:23this off season. What they've done what they haven't done, what the future
- 2:27really looks like for them, because like, I still view this Bill's Team
- 2:30Sarah as one of the powerhouse teams in the AFC, even though you know
- 2:35they did lose some talent within this off season and losing that talent, I've
- 2:39been trying to think to myself, like, how would we describe this Bill's
- 2:43off season? So if you had one word to describe what the off season
- 2:47has been thus far and what it's been for Bill's Nation, what would that
- 2:51word be and why I would have to say low key? Because you know,
- 2:55yes we lost streaming Edmonds. He's really the only one that I think
- 3:01that you know, Bill's Mafia is upset that we lost. Um. You
- 3:05can't replace him, you you really can't. But um I feel like with
- 3:09mcd with well, sorry McDermott, we all call him victim. With with
- 3:15him taking over the defense, I feel like he's going to be a little
- 3:17bit more aggressive. He wanted to get a little smaller, he wanted to
- 3:20get faster. Um So, I think that there was really never a time
- 3:24or a moment that we ever thought we could afford to keep Tremaine. Um
- 3:29So I look forward to seeing how we're going to get aggressive on defense without
- 3:34him there um. But at the same time, I believe we've gotten better
- 3:38in all other in all other facets. You know, there's never there's not
- 3:43that one big splashy name that we you know, that everyone was hoping for.
- 3:47But there the incremental things that we did to get to get better,
- 3:53you know, bringing in Hardy, Hardy's and upgrade from McKenzie um. Our
- 3:57draft was was decent on paper. Obviously you never know until the season starts,
- 4:02oh well it's going to be but you know, drafting of Torrence and
- 4:06Kincaid. We got Torrance in the second round, which most people had predicted.
- 4:11I had projected him to us in the first. So it'll you know,
- 4:15I think that the season is you know, we did the small things
- 4:16to get better. Our lines gotten better. We you know, we signed
- 4:20a couple of you know, of different um a guard in McGovern I think
- 4:27that he's an upgrade from where we were last year. So I look to
- 4:31the line to hopefully protect Josh Allen this year and give him a little bit
- 4:35more time. And the line's getting healthier. So we had a lot of
- 4:39people out last year. Our turnover rate on our offensive line was pretty ridiculous.
- 4:43So I look forward to it. I say so, I say low
- 4:46key. So we didn't get those splashy names, but I think that we
- 4:49still got incrementally better at each position. All right, low key? What
- 4:54was not low key, Sarah, as we know and we got to talk
- 4:57about it, is the recent agree arement that was reached by defensive tackle at
- 5:01Oliver and the Bill's front office on that contract extension. It's a forty five
- 5:05million dollar guarantee on a four year, sixty eight million dollar contract. I
- 5:12mean, I've seen some back and forth from Bill's Nation online about whether or
- 5:16not this extension, whether or not it had to be done, or whether
- 5:19this was possibly you know, a quote overpay here. I wanted to get
- 5:24your thoughts on this new deal and what it really means for that front of
- 5:28the Bill's defense in the future as we're looking towards this twenty twenty three season.
- 5:32Yeah, I look at it. I was one of the proponents of
- 5:35trading, Okay, I was one of the you know, I think since
- 5:41mid season last year. I was a little unhappy with his play. I
- 5:46knew we had already signed him on, we had picked up his fifth year
- 5:48option, and I didn't feel like he was playing towards that fifth year option.
- 5:54I look, I'm hoping that again with mcderman taking over and his change
- 6:00of the scheme a little bit and getting a little bit more aggressive, I
- 6:02feel like he's probably going to be better. He can now kind of solidify
- 6:09himself as the three tech. Um he moved a little too much in the
- 6:12past, and we had so many injuries at defensive tackle as well that he
- 6:15wasn't able to to really just you know, solidify his spot there. So
- 6:19I think that with him there, um, you know, we have depth
- 6:24now along the one tech. So we have Punaford that we sign this year.
- 6:29So I honestly think we'll keep five defensive tackles this year. Tim Settle
- 6:31kind of being the the floater where he'll go back and forth, but you
- 6:36know, we have Jordan Phillips, day Quon Jones has been a breath of
- 6:40fresh air. So I kind of feel like day Quon Jones will, um,
- 6:44you know, will be the one tech and Oliver will be the three
- 6:47tech and then we'll have um, sorry, Phillips and Tim Settle and Punaford
- 6:55as the backups. So I think that we've actually you know, done a
- 6:59good job um in the off season getting additional people to come to come over
- 7:03here and for you know, really good amounts of cap space, um,
- 7:09you really low amounts of cap space. So I was one of the again,
- 7:13I was one of the people that was kind of a proponent for him
- 7:15to be traded. UM. But you never, you can't we can't see
- 7:19into the future. So obviously, if if he balls out this year,
- 7:25he would have been unapproachable next year, we would not have been able to
- 7:28reach an agreement. There are still two or three defensive tackles that should be
- 7:31reaching agreements this offseason UM for an extension. So at this point in time,
- 7:39Quentin Jefferson, who's also in our division, they're saying, you know,
- 7:43he could be demanding over twenty million if the price I would have just
- 7:46went up. UM. Again, if he doesn't have a great year,
- 7:50then then it, you know, looks like being made a terrible decision.
- 7:54If he has a great year, then he's brilliant, and you know,
- 7:58we all we all like to think that he's brilliant. So hopefully, hopefully
- 8:01this is the right decision. I feel like a little bit of it though,
- 8:05was because we lost Edmonds that we realize that we could get priced out
- 8:09of this, but also in doing so, it freed up five five point
- 8:15seventy five million dollars this year in cap space. The way I look at
- 8:18it right now, it's it's a three you know, three year forty five
- 8:22million dollar contract. If you include this year, we can it could be
- 8:26a three year fifty five million dollars or four year five million dollars, depending
- 8:31on how you look at it between the guaranteed money. So we're pretty much
- 8:35getting him for about fifteen million a year, and if you include this year,
- 8:39it's even it's even less. So you know, it could end up
- 8:43being a brilliant job because right now they're you know, defensive tackles are commanding
- 8:48eighteen to twenty five million on um, you know, on the open market,
- 8:52So it could be a brilliant um deal. We just don't know.
- 8:54I won't comment on it until he truly starts to play up to that contract.
- 9:01Well, Sarah, you definitely know your football, and we're certainly going
- 9:03to be talking about the defense a little bit more here and folks, you
- 9:07can follow Sarah on the Twitter dot com at Sarah Underscore Larson. She is
- 9:11a great, great follow and I know you're doing some other stuff out on
- 9:15the interwebs as well, some podcasting, getting some content out there. Tell
- 9:18everybody where they can find you. Yeah. So I do some writing for
- 9:22Buffalo Rumblings. You can always check that out. And then I also do
- 9:26a podcast. We are usually on Thursdays at nine pm. It's called Line
- 9:31to Gain. It's with Jerryostrowski. He's a former Buffalo Bill offensive lineman.
- 9:35Yeah, but we're actually moving to Wednesdays at nine pm starting June fourteenth when
- 9:41he comes back from vacation, so we will be moving over to Wednesday night.
- 9:43So check us out. It's definitely very fun having a former player.
- 9:50We get at it a lot good yet a lot of difference. We have
- 9:54a lot of differences of opinions and he does a shy away and he allows
- 10:00me not to die away. So we have a lot of fun button heads
- 10:01a lot. That's great. That is great. Well, sticking with the
- 10:05defense here, Sarah, you know, I've been thinking to myself with regard
- 10:09to this Bill's defense and what has been happening within the AFC East Division itself
- 10:13with Aaron Rodgers coming into a tackle Byloa is not a terrible quarterback, but
- 10:18any stretch of the imagination, and you know, sometimes you just don't know
- 10:20what's going to happen with the New England Patriots. You know, I look
- 10:26at the Bills defensive culture and leadership and how that might come together this season
- 10:31after defensive coordinator Leslie Fraser stepped away and the fact that the team lost,
- 10:35of course, as you mentioned, Tremaine Edmonds in free agency, and how
- 10:41big of a concern is this defense of the Buffalo Bills heading into twenty twenty
- 10:46three, kind of given what they lost, and of course Sean McDermott being
- 10:48a defensive mind, it's gonna be taken over. I think, you know,
- 10:50some of the defensive play calling perhaps and just some of the scheming,
- 10:54But you know, is it a concern for you in terms of the culture
- 10:58and leadership of this defense moving forward here? I think the concern that I
- 11:03have is everyone loved Leslie Frasier. Everyone in the locker room, you know,
- 11:07loved him. But I'm not really worried, to be honest with you,
- 11:11I'm actually kind of excited. Some of the biggest things that concerned me
- 11:15about our defense was that we're always playing off the ball. We were always
- 11:18in zone defense. We're you know, it was such a safe defense.
- 11:24And I'm not taking anything from from Leslie Frasier. We were one of the
- 11:28top defenses over the last five years every year, so I'm definitely not taking
- 11:31anything from him. But at the same time, you know, once you
- 11:37get to the playoffs, and I've said this, you know, over and
- 11:39over again at nausea, and probably once you get to the playoffs, it's
- 11:43win or go home. And you being so conservative in your defense. Um.
- 11:48You know, once you get behind or if you get in trouble there,
- 11:52you can't say, okay, well next game, we'll figure it out.
- 11:56UM. So I look forward to us being a little bit more aggressive.
- 12:00I look forward to blitzing more. Um. You know, we we
- 12:03definitely have the pieces um there to do it. But at the same time,
- 12:07you know, I feel like the defense in a hole has gotten better.
- 12:11We have one of the best defensive backs rooms in the league. Um.
- 12:16It's it's again, it's low key. It's a lot of people don't
- 12:18look at um look at our defensive backs that way. But we are deep.
- 12:22UM. But at both you know, the um at book corners are
- 12:26slot um slot or nickel corner um, and then our safeties we are deep
- 12:33all around. So I I just can't wait to to Sean McDermott kind of
- 12:37gets his hands on it. He's always been known to be a little bit
- 12:39more aggressive. He likes disguising the defense. So it's gonna be fun,
- 12:43especially the what we have on the line right now, in the different looks
- 12:46that he can give. I'm gonna be excited to see. Um if he
- 12:50tries to play to everyone's strengths and move people around a little bit and um
- 12:56and really put his stamp on the defenses here, It's gonna be interesting to
- 12:58see for sure. But let's move over to the offense now, Sarah,
- 13:01because it still seems like, even within the course of this off season,
- 13:05that the Bills may actually have some holes at wide receiver. You know,
- 13:09again, I read as an outsider. I read what happens within Bill's nation.
- 13:15Some folks saying, you know, we're gonna be just fine. Josh
- 13:16Allen's gonna be fine with the receiving cord that he has. Yet others say,
- 13:20you know what, we lost some key pieces and we lost some talent,
- 13:26you know, there's some uncertainty as well, some departures, you know,
- 13:30from this off season. Yet they did draft one of the top tight
- 13:33ends in Dalton Kincaide. I cannot wait to see how he performs during his
- 13:37rookie season. You know, they moved up two spots to get him.
- 13:39He is no slouch after what he did at the college level. So in
- 13:45a league where passing has become so dominant, Sarah, do you have concerns
- 13:48about how Josh Allen is going to get the ball down the field this coming
- 13:52season at all? I actually don't have as much concerns as I've had in
- 13:56the past. You know, we've we've always been in a little concern about
- 14:01the offensive line. UM. I will say that last year I had thought
- 14:05that we made enough upgrades on the line that we were going to get better.
- 14:09UM, and it proved that the line was just as bad as the
- 14:13year before, if not worse. UM. I think that this year,
- 14:16with McGovern coming on coming on, um Osireus Torrence, a healthy Spencer Brown,
- 14:22UM, I really think that we can get back to UM you know,
- 14:26at least where we were a couple of years ago, if not better.
- 14:30UM. My my biggest concerned. I will actually let me go with
- 14:35the positives. Okay, I think that I yeah, let me stop being
- 14:37so negative. UM. I think the positive here is UM. With the
- 14:41addition of Um of Hardy UM, he is definitely an upgrade from McKenzie.
- 14:46I think that he's a vertical threat, he's a slot threat. He's going
- 14:50to be a little gadget play guy like McKenzie was. But I think that
- 14:54the consistency, the consistency will be there more than it was with McKenzie.
- 14:58McKenzie was, and again, I love mackenzie. I'm not trying to to
- 15:01diss him as as a person. The consistency was just not there as a
- 15:05player, so we didn't really have that third wide receiver option. UM,
- 15:09and Hardy is going to kind of be the I would think the fourth or
- 15:13fifth option, So it really takes the pressure off of him. UM.
- 15:16But the biggest question we that Bill's fans have is whether or not Gabe Davis
- 15:22is going to become twenty twenty one Gabe Davis where he just you know went
- 15:28He went off the charge crash and everyone thought, okay, he's he solidified
- 15:35himself as wide receiver two. And then last year he had one game that
- 15:39was like one hundred and seventy one yards against the Steelers. Um, if
- 15:43you will remove that that game. The rest of the season, he kind
- 15:46of averaged more towards a wide receiver three um, And that's the concern there.
- 15:52He had quite a few drops. Now, I'm when you when you
- 15:56look at how many drops like Diggs had two we target him, so of
- 16:00course he's going to have a little bit more drops. So you know,
- 16:03the biggest concern I guess for all of Bill's mafia is whether or not Gabe
- 16:07Davis is really wide receiver too and can can consistently perform as wide receiver too.
- 16:12UM. But I think that Kincaid can come in and establish himself early
- 16:18on as long as we write him into the offense right away. And that's
- 16:23where everyone is looking to Ken Dorsey's to to be able to utilize you know,
- 16:27Kincaid this year. I'm excited. I've been saying twelve personnel for years
- 16:33and now and now we finally have you know, we can have you know,
- 16:37two tight end sets out there. I'm excited to see it. But
- 16:41what's really cool with Kincaid is that he can also line up as a slot
- 16:45and be a mismatch, you know for most defenses. So I look to,
- 16:48you know, see whether or not we're gonna utilize everybody correctly. Um,
- 16:53but you know, we'll see shakier out there a little bit more this
- 16:56year. He has a year under his belt. Now, he had flashes
- 17:00last year. I think he'll established himself this year as well. So the
- 17:03biggest question is whether or not Davis is going to be able to stand up.
- 17:07But if not, hopefully Kincaid does. And and we kind of use
- 17:12him as our wide receiver too, even though he is a tight end.
- 17:17I look, you know, moving along here, Sarah at the running back
- 17:21situation and running back room to James Cook. I think is expected to be
- 17:25running back one for the Bills this coming season. And my gosh, I
- 17:29love watching him play football in space. He's elusive in close quarters. He's
- 17:33been able to, you know, remarkably, you know, break tackles,
- 17:38you know, with with with with a stiff arms. Just an incredible running
- 17:44back in this league. In my opinion. He averaged five points seven yards
- 17:48per rush, you know, I mean, yes, it was a sample
- 17:49size, it was smaller than most running backs in the league. But my
- 17:52gosh, so impressive last season, So I'm wondering, how do you expect
- 17:56this running back room and perhaps the running backs within this offense here to kind
- 18:00of really take shape. They brought in Damian Harrison free agency this off season.
- 18:04They also have nine Hinds who I love, who actually picked up in
- 18:08one of my fantasy teams. Last year. Didn't do much for me.
- 18:12It was a little perplexed that the Bills didn't him a little bit more coming
- 18:15out of the backfield, especially on third down. But just wondering, how
- 18:18do you think this running back room is gonna look how they're going to perform
- 18:22this coming season? Right? James Cook to me like it took him most
- 18:27of the season to really get his footing. And at Georgia he was not
- 18:30the feature back. He was more, um, you know, the the
- 18:34off pace back coming, you know, coming onto the field. So he
- 18:38had to get that going. And once he did, um, we saw
- 18:42the kind of running back that he would be. And that's why Singletary was
- 18:47not in my you know, in my opinion, that's why he wasn't,
- 18:49you know, resigned, right, But I do, I do think James
- 18:52Cook will be the feature back. Um We will see his attempts will probably
- 18:57double um over the year, So he will not have five point seven yards.
- 19:03Yea, I am pretty I am pretty sure of that. But yeah,
- 19:06I definitely think that he will. Um, he will be the feature
- 19:10back now. I Damian Harris is going to be that, um, the
- 19:14pounding back that we haven't really seen short yardage, goal goal line. Um,
- 19:19there's times where you know, he he hits the line and just breaks
- 19:22free. So I'm really excited to see what he can do. He is,
- 19:26if nothing more, he has destroyed the Bills in the past. Yes,
- 19:30so he is. He is no longer on another team to do that
- 19:33to us anymore, especially the Patriots. So um, if nothing more,
- 19:38I'm excited for that. So I think that those will be you know,
- 19:41he'll be the off pace back. I think that now he hinds he came
- 19:45on, you know, at the trade deadline last year. So UM.
- 19:48A lot of people have actually made comments, um that you that we've interviewed
- 19:53that the offense is a very difficult offense. That Ken Dorsey has instilled a
- 19:57lot of different looks and um, it's a pretty complicated playbook. So you
- 20:03know, even Hines and made the comment that coming in mid seasons a little
- 20:06hard to get, you know, to get your your footing and everything.
- 20:08I think I think we will, you know, focus on him more on
- 20:12special teams. He'll be our our returner, um, at least for um
- 20:18for pump returns. He will definitely be the pump returner. I don't see
- 20:22us using him too much in the running game, but I do think that
- 20:26if he is in the backfield, it's probably going to be a passing down.
- 20:30Um, yeah, let him run him run a Texas route for God's
- 20:33sake, you know what I mean. He's Yes, we love to have
- 20:37him come out of the backfield. He is pretty much a sure catch,
- 20:40so you know we're throwing it to him. He has the he has the
- 20:44hands. So I love the fact that he has now a whole off season.
- 20:48Um, we also sign Latavius Murray. You know, I loved,
- 20:52I loved the signing when it happened. But the more that i've I've kind
- 20:56of looked at our fifty three men projected roster. I've I've done the every
- 21:00time we signed somebody else, I'm like, okay, so who we're gonna
- 21:03cut now, you know, in order to make the roster. I have
- 21:07a feeling he'll probably not make the fifty three man roster, but we will
- 21:11try to resign him for the practice squads. So, um, I don't
- 21:15I personally don't think he'd get picked up by another team right away, so
- 21:18the practice squad will will definitely be an option for him. I'm not really
- 21:22worried. We're not really a running team, so you know, most most
- 21:27of the time we're you know, we're putting it in Josh's hands. I
- 21:30just don't and Josh when he has the ball, I mean, he's another
- 21:33running back as well. I don't want to see him. I don't want
- 21:37to see him do seven hundred and fifty yards again, though I would like
- 21:41him to be more around, you know, the four hundred, protecting himself
- 21:44a little bit more and having a running game established. Um, you know,
- 21:48we actually ran the ball really well when you took into consideration his performance,
- 21:56so you know we I think we averaged like one hundred and twenty something
- 21:59yards per game. Not bad as a team, but when you subtract his
- 22:03yards, are running backs kind of struggled a little bit. So I think
- 22:07that featuring one back, which will be James Cook, he'll get his footing
- 22:11a lot sooner in this end of season, so I think he'll do well.
- 22:15It's definitely a passing league, but the running game is still so very
- 22:18important and critical. I mean, you take a look at the Philadelphia Eagles,
- 22:21who have really created a nice balance, and of course Jalen Hurts much
- 22:25like Josh Allen, has that mobile type of quarterback who's able to get third
- 22:27down yardage, who's able to really just make a mess of things out there
- 22:32for the opposing defense with his legs. But again, it's important to have
- 22:36that balance. I think the Eagles have really struck that over the past couple
- 22:40seasons, and it's gonna be interesting to see where the Bills go with their
- 22:44running back room. And again, folks talking to Sarah Larson if you're if
- 22:47you're listening to this on Tuesday, June sixth, wish her a happy birthday,
- 22:51because you know, you gotta wish everybody a happy birthday when it is
- 22:53their birthday. And you can find her on Twitter at Sarah Underscore Larson.
- 22:57Again, wish her a happy birthday if you're listening to this after the sixth,
- 23:00which are happy belated as well, and you can find out what she's
- 23:04doing and Ali her colleagues over at Buffalo rumblings doing some good stuff over there.
- 23:10And to close this out here, Sarah, you have to ask you
- 23:14just about the AFC East Division. I mean, it's gonna be a very
- 23:17interesting division. Jets now have a very legit quarterback from finally in their existence,
- 23:22they have a legit quarterback for God's sake. Probably the best NFL offseason
- 23:26move of the year, quite frankly the Dolphins. They have been a team
- 23:30that's been building, and the Patriots have also been building as well. We
- 23:33don't know what to really expect from them and mac Jones, So do you
- 23:37think the Bills have done enough this whether it's this offseason. I know it's
- 23:41been a low key offseason as you mentioned earlier, but do you think they've
- 23:45done enough in terms of their building to retain control of the AFC East.
- 23:51Yeah, I think And I'll start with what I feel like it will be
- 23:55the bottom, which will be the Patriots. I feel like feeling that's a
- 23:59good thing. That is to say, you know, even though we don't
- 24:03know what's going to happen, it's a great phrase to say. I mean,
- 24:07you never know what you're gonna get it with Bill Belichick and they do
- 24:08have and they do have an offensive coordinator. Finally, UM, last year,
- 24:12I don't know what he was thinking, um with not having an actual
- 24:17offensive coordinator. UM. So I think that the Patriots will be better this
- 24:21year. Mac Jones he's a decent quarterback. I don't think he's the quarterback
- 24:25of the future, and I think they're starting to realize that. Um.
- 24:26But he can get the job done. Um. You know, when the
- 24:30pieces are there for them. I still think that there are a couple of
- 24:34years away and maybe a quarterback away. Before you know, Bill Belichick can
- 24:40can you know, prove that he's the coach that he is without Tom Brady?
- 24:44Right? Um. I then I really am split a little bit between
- 24:48the Jets and the Dolphins. Um. I kind of like the Dolphins coaching
- 24:55staff book a little bit more. So That's why I have the Dolphins finishing
- 24:57just you know, like maybe be tied or a game in front of the
- 25:02Jets. UM at the two and three position. Um. So, the
- 25:06Jets to me are are scary. You know. I've said for the last
- 25:10two years that they've done enough in their in their drafts and um to in
- 25:15their defense is ridiculous. In order to really succeed in the East, they
- 25:21were just a quarterback away. UM, so that it scares me that they
- 25:26now have a quarterback. But I still feel like they have to put all
- 25:30the pieces together, and UM, I don't know if they can do that
- 25:34in the in this year. UM, you know, enough to surpass the
- 25:40Bills. UM. I would think that in two years they would have all
- 25:44the pieces and you know, Breece Hall would be fully healthy coming off of
- 25:48his ACL and you know they have, um a wide receiver room. That's
- 25:53really great. Uh. I can't think of the Ohio State receiver all of
- 25:57a sudden at the top of my head. Um, but he is,
- 26:02Yeah, Scarrett Wilson, thank you, um he you know, he was
- 26:06amazing last year. So um, you know, between the two rookies coming
- 26:08out and then again, they've had one of the best defenses over the last
- 26:12few years. And I really honestly believe that in two years they can put
- 26:18all the pieces together. But my hope is Aaron Rodgers decides to retire after
- 26:22this year and stick it to stick it to the Jets. So that's the
- 26:27way I look at them. The Dolphins are the one that I think that
- 26:30this scares me the most. Um, I think that McDaniels is a pretty
- 26:36you know, brilliant coach. Um. I don't like admitting that out loud
- 26:38too much. It all, in my opinion, they have every piece that
- 26:44they need to have the only they're pretty much a complete team. The only
- 26:48thing that concerns that should concern Dolphin fans is whether or not to A remains
- 26:52healthy, right and it's it's all going to kind of be, you know,
- 26:55whether or not to A remains healthy when two is healthy and on.
- 26:59I mean, he showed last year what this team can be, and the
- 27:02team got better in the offseason. So I think that realistically with them getting
- 27:07better UM at you know, multiple positions, they have probably one of the
- 27:11best wide receiver duos. And now they just sign um you know, Um
- 27:15Chosen changed his name to Chosen Um, so you know he's he's out there
- 27:22now. So they have they have true three true wide receivers right now.
- 27:26They have a really decent backfield. There's rumors that Um that Cook might be
- 27:32you know, choosing to be traded there that would scare me even more.
- 27:37UM, I don't want to see Delvin Cook in the AFC East, unless
- 27:40it's on the Bills, which I don't think will happen, but um,
- 27:42but we'll see. So I think that that the Dolphins season kind of hinders
- 27:47on whether or not two it can remain healthy. But I still feel like
- 27:49the Bills have done enough and I honestly believe, um that we are still
- 27:56going to be the team. I think it'll be the hardest season we've had
- 28:00in recent memory. I mean even last year we finished I think three or
- 28:03four games in front of the second place team, So I think that it
- 28:08won't be such a gap this year. It'll be one or two games.
- 28:12We might split with the Dolphins, we might split with the Jets. I
- 28:15think we'll still sweep the Patriots, but it'll you know, it'll definitely be
- 28:21a little bit harder. But I kind of look at our schedule and I
- 28:22say thirteen and four is our record, which will be enough to win the
- 28:26East. It's gonna be an interesting division, for sure. It's gonna be
- 28:30one of the more fascinating divisions to watch in the NFL this coming season.
- 28:33Again, folks, Sarah Larson from Buffalo Rumblings and you can find her on

- 28:56It was great talking to Sarah for the very first time, and I do
- 29:00think it's interesting how she thinks the AFC Division is going to take shape this
- 29:04coming season. I don't know. I think the Jets and Bills are really
- 29:07going to be battling for first place. That's my personal opinion, and things
- 29:11could certainly change. Things can change for all of our predictions here in June.
- 29:17You know, training camp hasn't even started yet. We know what injuries
- 29:19due to a team that is looking to make headway during the course of the
