- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks
- 0:02Speaker 1: of information. Rich has life hacks. My information, I feel
- 0:05Speaker 1: this one is common. What do you think about this?
- 0:07Speaker 1: Researchers talked to mothers with young kids about sleeping, and
- 0:11Speaker 1: the report had some pretty wild stats. 62% of mothers
- 0:15Speaker 1: feel that they need permission from someone else to prioritize
- 0:17Speaker 1: sleep guilt-free. Does that ring bell with you? Ring bell?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Ask permission, I don't know, but I just feel like
- 0:24Speaker 2: as a mother, you don't get sleep as a priority.
- 0:26Speaker 1: 55% of moms would rather be given a sleep day
- 0:29Speaker 1: than a spa day. Yes. 83% of moms wake up
- 0:32Speaker 1: feeling unrested regardless of hours slept.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Every day.
- 0:35Speaker 1: 94% of moms have fallen asleep somewhere unexpected since becoming
- 0:39Speaker 1: a mom.
- 0:41Speaker 3: You?
- 0:43Speaker 2: I mean, yes, yes, in pickup line.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Who can blame you?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Listen to this. If you were pulled over and you'd
- 0:50Speaker 1: been drinking, the cops aren't going to be fooled if
- 0:53Speaker 1: you pop a peppermint or chew gum. They know, right?
- 0:56Speaker 1: They know.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 1: A 43-year-old woman in Virginia... named Erin Hoops, crashed her
- 1:00Speaker 1: Mini Cooper into a police car, and she kept going.
- 1:04Speaker 1: The cops turned on his lights, chased her down, pulled
- 1:06Speaker 1: her over, smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from
- 1:09Speaker 1: her car, and hauled her off to jail. And now,
- 1:13Speaker 1: a gross new detail has emerged from this story, and
- 1:16Speaker 1: it's making all kinds of news. When she got to jail,
- 1:19Speaker 1: Erin said she needed to use the bathroom, so they
- 1:21Speaker 1: allowed her to go to the bathroom as long as
- 1:23Speaker 1: the door was cracked open. They didn't want her drinking
- 1:25Speaker 1: from the sink before the breathalyzer test.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So get this. Erin allegedly used the restroom, and while
- 1:31Speaker 1: standing up, she placed her hands inside the toilet, scooped
- 1:33Speaker 1: up the mixture of water and pee, and consumed it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Ew!
- 1:37Speaker 1: To get rid of the alcohol. And guess what?
- 1:40Speaker 3: It didn't work.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It didn't work.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it didn't.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That is so gross. Why would that work?
- 1:45Speaker 1: It's like your blood alcohol level. Three times the legal
- 1:49Speaker 1: limit of alcohol. She was charged the DUI and a
- 1:51Speaker 1: hit and run.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Also, like, if you drink water after you drank a
- 1:53Speaker 2: bunch of alcohol, you still have the alcohol in your system, so.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I wish I could go back 10 seconds ago. Yucky.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Entertainment Weekly ranked the best movie duos of all time.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Best movie duos.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Batman and Robin.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Batman and Robin is.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Where the hell is Batman and Robin? It has to
- 2:16Speaker 1: be on there though, right?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 1: What the heck?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 2:20Speaker 1: The list includes Cheech and Chong, Batman and Robin, Blues Brothers,
- 2:24Speaker 1: Abbott and Costello, Cher and Dionne, From Clueless.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good. And Laurie and Michael Myers from Halloween.
- 2:32Speaker 1: But those aren't in the top ten.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Oh.
- 2:34Speaker 1: What?
- 2:35Speaker 3: So there's a better duo.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Who's a better duo? The Batman and Robin.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Han Solo and Chewbacca.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Han Solo and Chewbacca, number four.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Oh, okay. There we go.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Oh, Buzz and Woody. Buzz and Woody. Buzz and Woody.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Mike and Marcus from Bad Boys. Okay, that's a good duo.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Frodo and Samwise from Lord of the Rings.
- 2:52Speaker 2: What about the two from 21 Jump Street?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 2:55Speaker 2: 21 Jump Street.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Bonnie and Clyde are number five. Han Solo and Chewbacca
- 2:58Speaker 1: are number four. Thelma and Louise are number three.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Number two, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Number one is
- 3:04Speaker 1: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Who is that?
- 3:07Speaker 3: It's a great old movie. Back in the day.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Throwback movie.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's a throwback movie, but there were like two real criminals.
- 3:12Speaker 1: They were cowboys and they robbed. They rob people.
- 3:14Speaker 3: That's a great movie if you haven't seen it.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I haven't seen it, never have either, but I've heard
- 3:18Speaker 1: of it. It's one of the best westerns. You ever
- 3:19Speaker 1: heard of that song, raindrops keep falling on my head?
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm sure my grandma's played it once or twice. Well,
- 3:25Speaker 1: your grandma also listens to Talking Heads and listens to
- 3:28Speaker 1: modern music. That's a great movie. If you're happy in
- 3:31Speaker 1: a relationship, would it matter if your partner wasn't the one?
- 3:35Speaker 1: New survey says that 41% of single people believe they'll
- 3:39Speaker 1: find the one. And it's not necessarily in the world
- 3:42Speaker 1: they don't. Most people believe that they're in a relationship.
- 3:45Speaker 1: One in five couples don't think that their partner is
- 3:47Speaker 1: the one.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Like their twin flame or whatever that is.
- 3:49Speaker 1: But they're good with whatever.
- 3:50Speaker 3: With staying with them, right. Like if they are making
- 3:53Speaker 3: like a ton of money and I'm.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Happy, even if they aren't the one. Who would admit
- 3:58Speaker 1: that though?
- 3:58Speaker 3: They could be A1.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I would say, yeah, they're tolerable. If your partner admitted
- 4:02Speaker 2: that though, wouldn't you be like, what?
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that would be hurtful.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Here's some signs that your partner isn't the one. If
- 4:10Speaker 1: he forgets your anniversary, birthday, and name.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They should probably remember your name.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yes. If she makes a birthday wish, blows out the candles,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and you get struck by lightning, she's not the one.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Probably not the one.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You still make her laugh, but only when you ask
- 4:26Speaker 1: if she loves you.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 4:30Speaker 1: What do you have for life hacks, Rich?
- 4:31Speaker 3: Okay, so... I think everybody goes all out for Halloween.
- 4:36Speaker 3: But when you go into the makeup part, when you
- 4:38Speaker 3: make up your face, the experts say, don't just put
- 4:42Speaker 3: on the makeup on your face, like glitter, all that stuff,
- 4:45Speaker 3: because then you're going to be scrubbing the whole night,
- 4:47Speaker 3: getting that stuff off. They recommend using, if you've got
- 4:51Speaker 3: some kind of moisturizer that's thin, that's great, but they
- 4:53Speaker 3: want you to use an oil-based makeup remover to get
- 4:56Speaker 3: everything off. But to protect your skin, they like the
- 4:59Speaker 3: Pods Cold Cream. Have you heard of that? Yeah. So
- 5:04Speaker 3: use that as your base. And then when you put
- 5:06Speaker 3: the makeup over it, it's not going to be like
- 5:09Speaker 3: you need to sand a deck to get it off.
- 5:11Speaker 3: So basically, in other words, use a moisturizing lotion before
- 5:15Speaker 3: you put your makeup on. Prep your face.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Do some skin prep.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Prep your face. You know, guys don't know this. Girls
- 5:21Speaker 3: probably know this. I was going to say, this is
- 5:22Speaker 3: such a man life hack right now. Guys don't know this.
- 5:26Speaker 2: We literally skin prep before we put regular makeup on.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Well, I guess that's true.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Some people may not know, though, I guess.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So that's good.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It's good to know.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Like, I don't think any dudes knew that. They're like,
- 5:36Speaker 3: I'm going to go get me some ponds now. So
- 5:38Speaker 3: there you go. That life hack at johnjainrich.com.
