- 0:25Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Very good? What's going to happen tomorrow? Does Cuomo have
- 0:30Speaker 1: a chance?
- 0:32Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you, how did we get in
- 0:33Speaker 2: a situation where we've got to choose between a communist,
- 0:36Speaker 2: wacko nut job, a sleazy old politician who just resigned
- 0:40Speaker 2: in disgrace from his last job. And we like Curtis
- 0:44Speaker 2: but everybody says he can't win. How did we get
- 0:46Speaker 2: in this mess?
- 0:47Speaker 1: These are abstract questions. You know, I'm more concerned about
- 0:51Speaker 1: the future of the city that my daughter lives, that
- 0:55Speaker 1: I've spent my life visiting and a joining you know,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I mean, does he eat this Cuomo chance or not?
- 1:00Speaker 1: I mean, we can consider, we can ponder the intellectual
- 1:06Speaker 1: ramifications of this on Wednesday, but first we got to
- 1:09Speaker 1: stop the communists.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Well, I can't tell you because the voter turnout is
- 1:14Speaker 2: like six times normal. Almost a million people have already voted.
- 1:18Speaker 2: This is unheard of. It's going to voting will hit
- 1:20Speaker 2: two million, which is way beyond anything. So I think
- 1:23Speaker 2: the polls are all wrong. What do you think?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I hope. So I finally got my
- 1:29Speaker 1: daughter out to vote. Her and her boyfriend the West
- 1:33Speaker 1: village to vote for Cuomo on Saturday, in the early
- 1:37Speaker 1: last day of the early voting. I guess and and
- 1:40Speaker 1: you know, she said, oh, you know, it seems it
- 1:42Speaker 1: doesn't seem all that bad. It's the people seem normal,
- 1:46Speaker 1: and a lot of them seem Jewish. And I said,
- 1:48Speaker 1: I don't think being Jewish has anything to do with it.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I mean, what do the polls say that he's going
- 1:52Speaker 1: to Bendambi is going to get thirty percent of the
- 1:55Speaker 1: Jewish vote. I mean, how insane is that?
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but you know, people say, well I saw
- 1:59Speaker 2: a lot of Jews people you're in a Jewish neighborhood.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Or I saw a lot of old people voted. Well,
- 2:03Speaker 2: you're in the Upper West Side. That's old people.
- 2:08Speaker 1: A lot of Italians voting on Staten Island.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so, uh, I don't know, but you know, you
- 2:15Speaker 2: understand everybody hates Cuomo. They just hate Cuomo.
- 2:19Speaker 1: No, I understand. I hate him too, you know. I mean,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I'm still angry about changing the name of the Tappan
- 2:24Speaker 1: z Bridge. You know, that doesn't even show up in
- 2:26Speaker 1: most of the polls, but it really bugs the hell
- 2:28Speaker 1: out of Mace. Being from New England, I used to
- 2:30Speaker 1: like the Tappans going over and seeing that sign, you know, yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 1: I mean, but the you know what about cultural appropriation.
- 2:36Speaker 1: They took away the name of the Indians, that the Tappen,
- 2:39Speaker 1: that's a tribe of Indians. How dare they?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Have you ever seen this before though, where somebody everybody
- 2:47Speaker 2: says we must vote for the worst guy in the
- 2:49Speaker 2: world just to stop the totally evil guy.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Remember Roy when Edwin Edwards was running in Louisiana, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 1: coming out of prison against David Duke that got from
- 2:59Speaker 1: the Klan. Yeah, and they had those bumper stickers vote
- 3:02Speaker 1: for the crook. It's important. Yeah, it happens. It happens.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And you know James Michael Curley in Boston was he
- 3:10Speaker 1: did two terms in prison, you know, he did it
- 3:12Speaker 1: for a friend. That's what they said, service exitement went
- 3:16Speaker 1: to prison. I mean, this is this is not the
- 3:19Speaker 1: new Marion Barry in d C. Yeah, I mean, you
- 3:22Speaker 1: know they you know, I mean, but you know, Cuomo
- 3:26Speaker 1: is just terrible across the board, everywhere you want to look,
- 3:28Speaker 1: he's he's terrible. But you know the thing is, it's
- 3:32Speaker 1: that there's the old saying the devil you know is
- 3:34Speaker 1: better than the devil you don't know. And I think
- 3:36Speaker 1: I think that's what it is. I mean, I don't know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Maybe this is just a you know, a mood point
- 3:43Speaker 1: that he's that man doom. He's already wont I hope not,
- 3:45Speaker 1: But no, who knows.
- 3:47Speaker 2: And again, the turnout is so enormous, you got to
- 3:49Speaker 2: figure the poles just haven't been able to measure that.
- 3:52Speaker 2: There's a lot of Mondani voters, new voters, first time
- 3:55Speaker 2: voters usually don't get spotted by pollsters the older people.
- 4:00Speaker 2: But has there ever been a case before, Yeah, of
- 4:03Speaker 2: course where the polls were totally wrong. There must have been.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I think, you know, there's always been that. You know,
- 4:09Speaker 1: the George Wallace effect going going way back. People didn't
- 4:12Speaker 1: want to say they were for George Wallace when when
- 4:15Speaker 1: Bradley the mayor of La the black guy was running
- 4:18Speaker 1: against Dukenasian. I mean, people didn't want to admit they
- 4:21Speaker 1: weren't voting for Bradley. He was a terrible mayor. And yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you know that's I mean, I think there's I think
- 4:27Speaker 1: there's been a lot of that. I I don't know.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You know. The other thing, my daughter called me that
- 4:32Speaker 1: the ballot is rather confusing, you know that, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: almost this is a bad thing. I mean, it's it's unfortunate.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But the further up you are on the ballot, the
- 4:40Speaker 1: more votes you get. It's just the way it's always been.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And I guess Cuomo's at the very bottom. And Mamdani's
- 4:46Speaker 1: got two lines on the ballot, you know, because he
- 4:50Speaker 1: wasn't he wasn't planning on winning the primary, you know originally,
- 4:54Speaker 1: so so that you got two places to vote from,
- 4:56Speaker 1: Mam Donnie, and they're both I had a Cuomo. I
- 4:58Speaker 1: mean that's another another drawback. I don't know.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I mean, it's all Cuomo's fault. He was a disaster
- 5:05Speaker 2: in the primaries. He really stunk in the debate.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So he is and he was and again he was
- 5:11Speaker 1: a terrible guy. I mean, go down the list. I mean,
- 5:14Speaker 1: bail reform, telling, telling conservatives and pro life people, pro
- 5:19Speaker 1: Second Amendment people they shouldn't get the hell out of
- 5:21Speaker 1: the state. I mean, that was a long time ago,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and you know, and you know the sexual harassment charges.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And the worst thing of all, of course, was the
- 5:29Speaker 1: COVID you know, the total mismanagement of that and then
- 5:32Speaker 1: attacking Trump for it, not even using those not even
- 5:35Speaker 1: using the hospital ships that they sent up to the
- 5:38Speaker 1: to the West side, to the docks. I mean, everything,
- 5:42Speaker 1: everything about him is terrible. But I mean this is
- 5:44Speaker 1: the you know, we don't live in a perfect world, Mark.
- 5:47Speaker 1: This is just the latest example of it, right. I mean,
- 5:52Speaker 1: the declient can be somewhat managed. I mean, I think
- 5:56Speaker 1: maybe there's a little hysteria today, you know, in that
- 5:58Speaker 1: poll that came out of the Post. But I mean,
- 6:01Speaker 1: don't you hear people, I mean, I know, you're you know,
- 6:03Speaker 1: you're so super pro New York and all that, but
- 6:05Speaker 1: don't you hear people talking about moving out?
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah? But hey, so many millions moved out under Cuomo's governor.
- 6:12Speaker 2: We lost four congressional seats because of him, because of
- 6:14Speaker 2: people moving out.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Right, but I think this is I think, you know,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I've been thinking about this. I watched, you know, the
- 6:20Speaker 1: values of property skyrocket here in Palm Beach during COVID.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I think this could I think this could be a
- 6:25Speaker 1: bigger exodus, you know, economic flight than COVID. I really do.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Well, then give him mom Downey credit will solve the
- 6:35Speaker 2: traffic problem. At least the credit. We thought that.
- 6:41Speaker 1: We thought that in COVID. You know, the thing is
- 6:43Speaker 1: his his voters don't have jobs, so you know, doesn't
- 6:48Speaker 1: they're still going to be you know, going around carjacking
- 6:52Speaker 1: and going to the welfare office and going on shopliftings,
- 6:55Speaker 1: freeze and out on Long Island. Just don't be just
- 6:58Speaker 1: the way. I don't think traffics going to get that
- 7:01Speaker 1: much better.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and we don't have much time left speaking on
- 7:03Speaker 2: Palm Beach. Mar A Lago. This was the big reopening
- 7:06Speaker 2: this weekend, Halloween weekend, mar Alago reopened.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yep, he came. He came down early twelve forty was
- 7:12Speaker 1: my wife got caught in the traffic GM at you know,
- 7:15Speaker 1: nine o'clock on Saturday. That's when he usually leaves to
- 7:19Speaker 1: go play around a golf Yeah, he's gonna be He's
- 7:21Speaker 1: gonna be down here a lot this weather, I think,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and it's going to be good. It's like I like
- 7:27Speaker 1: hevin him here. You know it's good. It's the winter
- 7:30Speaker 1: white House and it's the autumn white House.
- 7:35Speaker 2: It's pretty amazing the president. Normally, when you leave for
- 7:38Speaker 2: a weekend the President, you go stay at Camp David
- 7:40Speaker 2: in like a log camp. This guy goes to the biggest,
- 7:42Speaker 2: most glamorous resort in the world, and then he's the
- 7:45Speaker 2: only president He ever comes back to the White House.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It seems kind of dumpy compared to where he was.
- 7:50Speaker 1: That's why he's building the ballroom. He built a big
- 7:53Speaker 1: ballroom in mar A Lago. Now he's going to do
- 7:55Speaker 1: the same thing for the White House. He'd improved the
- 7:57Speaker 1: hell out of mar A Lago and made it, made
- 7:59Speaker 1: it even more valuable. I think I tend to think
- 8:02Speaker 1: the same thing. It's going to happen with the with
- 8:05Speaker 1: the ballroom. On the East wing. People just don't want
- 8:08Speaker 1: to admit it.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Democrats, Hey, everybody, I get Howie Carr's latest book, Mass Corruption?

- 8:20Speaker 1: their people, so we're dealing with AI. They said, we

- 8:27Speaker 1: with like five bucks. They have no record of it
- 8:29Speaker 1: though apparently now they sit they're telling me. But yeah,
