- 0:13Speaker 1: Love, Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Sham your host
- 0:16Speaker 1: rum Shooter, and it is Thursday, which means our dear
- 0:20Speaker 1: friend Monk Lupa joins us, Hey, Lupi, are you there?
- 0:23Speaker 2: Louis?
- 0:24Speaker 1: Hello, ra I love when you say, isn't that what
- 0:28Speaker 1: they called your dad?
- 0:30Speaker 2: They did? They did the government.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It's so, how are things with you? What's going on?
- 0:35Speaker 1: What's going on with Doris? Your mommy? We've not had
- 0:37Speaker 1: an update about Doris for a several weeks.
- 0:39Speaker 2: What we talked about you and for we were on
- 0:41Speaker 2: family vacation last week every single day listened to the shows.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It was a lot for him.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Now, Doris used to only listen to Thursday show because
- 0:50Speaker 1: you are hash it spent expanded to another day. You're
- 0:53Speaker 1: just still a Thursday listener.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I encourage her to open her spend her horizons, listen
- 0:58Speaker 2: to all the co hosts, but I think Thursdays her favorite.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It should be hey Doris, if you're listening, lolo, and
- 1:04Speaker 1: don't forget to floss. She works in a dentist office,
- 1:07Speaker 1: so it's very important. Don't forget to floss. Okay, let's
- 1:09Speaker 1: jump into the show. Was so ridiculous. What time is
- 1:11Speaker 1: it my Friends and news Time, big story out of London.
- 1:15Speaker 1: So Prince Harry did an explosive interview with ITV that's
- 1:19Speaker 1: like ABC or NBC, it's a big network in Britain.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And the program was called Tabloids on Trial, dramatic headline.
- 1:28Speaker 1: So what this was about is the tabloids in Britain
- 1:31Speaker 1: have they gone too far? There was a phone hacking scandal,
- 1:34Speaker 1: lots of other I think we can all agree unethical
- 1:38Speaker 1: stuff was occurring. Now Harry has been really fierce about
- 1:42Speaker 1: suing the papers. But what he said, which I think
- 1:45Speaker 1: shocked everybody, is he blames the UK tabloids for the rift,
- 1:51Speaker 1: the feud in the family. So in a really candid
- 1:56Speaker 1: interview he talked about the British media, which he said
- 1:59Speaker 1: was toxic, and he also went on to say that
- 2:01Speaker 1: his family has a really abusive relationship with the press,
- 2:06Speaker 1: a quick pro quo relationship, and he wants no part
- 2:10Speaker 1: of this. And this is the important point here. He
- 2:13Speaker 1: is saying when he decided to take on his legal
- 2:16Speaker 1: crusade against the tabloids, he hoped his family would join
- 2:22Speaker 1: him in the battle. They didn't. They did not sign
- 2:27Speaker 1: on to all these lawsuits Harry and Meghan have been really,
- 2:32Speaker 1: really loud critics about the press, about how they're treated,
- 2:37Speaker 1: but at the same time too, they do enjoy the press,
- 2:41Speaker 1: and so this is a very complicated story concept here.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It's a quick pro quo relationship. That's how life, unfortunately works,
- 2:52Speaker 1: it does, for better or worse. And the Royal family
- 2:55Speaker 1: were like, Harry, if you want to take on the
- 2:57Speaker 1: British press, that's on you. We ain't going down that road.
- 3:00Speaker 1: What do you think I.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Mean, listen, I think complicated is the word. You know,
- 3:04Speaker 2: the family, it's in a lot of ways they need
- 3:07Speaker 2: the press to you know, push out the stories that
- 3:09Speaker 2: are positive. And there's a really interesting relationship there. And
- 3:13Speaker 2: so no doubt it's been a time's toxic and no
- 3:17Speaker 2: doubt that Harry you know, wants it both ways where
- 3:20Speaker 2: he wants to be painted as his hero and be
- 3:23Speaker 2: you know, adorbed. Also he wants to control the narrative.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And I think that's where things get tricky, is that,
- 3:28Speaker 2: you know, they don't shy away from the press. They
- 3:30Speaker 2: moved him and Megan moved to Los Angeles, and they're
- 3:32Speaker 2: still out and about and they're still out of events.
- 3:34Speaker 2: They're still looking for that attention. So I'm not sure
- 3:38Speaker 2: about this one.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, not sure, And I'm not sure. If I want
- 3:41Speaker 1: to blame the press for the feud in the family,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I would argue it was that book was interview. You know,
- 3:48Speaker 1: maybe we can go back even further and it was
- 3:50Speaker 1: the way that Megan was treated. But I do know
- 3:53Speaker 1: that something went really wrong here that wedding, that that
- 3:57Speaker 1: wedding that was watched by a billion people. Charles walked
- 4:00Speaker 1: her down the aisle. So as far as the wedding,
- 4:03Speaker 1: as far as that moment, it seemed like everything was okay.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It was after the wedding that things got really bad.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Then when the book came out, it was over. There's
- 4:10Speaker 1: no going back after the book, and so it is
- 4:14Speaker 1: complicated here. I understand we all want people to blame,
- 4:17Speaker 1: don't we. When something's not working, we all want to
- 4:20Speaker 1: scapegoat somebody to blame. It's so easy to blame the press,
- 4:25Speaker 1: the media, instead of blaming yourself for saying it or
- 4:29Speaker 1: doing it. So just because they reported it doesn't make
- 4:32Speaker 1: them the bad guy. It's like shooting the messenger, which
- 4:34Speaker 1: always happens. Mark. Let's be honest. If I tell you
- 4:37Speaker 1: a secret and you don't like it, maybe not you,
- 4:40Speaker 1: but normally the messenger is going to get shut So
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm quite careful relaying messages because I was like, I
- 4:45Speaker 1: didn't say it, I'm just telling you what they said,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and so many ways here. I always get suspicious when anybody, politicians,
- 4:54Speaker 1: celebrities blame the press, because on the other hand, they
- 4:58Speaker 1: really are desperate for it. Worked for years as a
- 5:01Speaker 1: publicist in charge of the press for some of the
- 5:04Speaker 1: biggest stars in the world. They loved it, but the
- 5:07Speaker 1: really smart ones understood that it was a relationship that
- 5:12Speaker 1: had ups and downs. Not every day was going to
- 5:14Speaker 1: be a love letter. You wanted overall for the press
- 5:17Speaker 1: to reflect the truth, and I think they do do
- 5:20Speaker 1: a good job at that. Yes, there's some shady outlets
- 5:23Speaker 1: out there, we all know them, but all the mainstream
- 5:25Speaker 1: outlets that I've worked with, the big news organizations, they
- 5:29Speaker 1: work really hard Mark to get this right. We don't
- 5:33Speaker 1: just make it up. You couldn't do that. All these
- 5:36Speaker 1: stories have to go through lawyers. Lawyers need to know
- 5:39Speaker 1: the source, they need to know what's going on. And
- 5:42Speaker 1: so somebody that's worked in the media as long as
- 5:44Speaker 1: I have, I'm going to defend the media here. I
- 5:46Speaker 1: think overall, Mark, our friends, people, we work with, our colleagues.
- 5:49Speaker 1: They try to do the right thing.
- 5:50Speaker 2: What do you think, I mean, that's what you sign
- 5:52Speaker 2: up for it right, you have integrity and you heard
- 5:55Speaker 2: there's consequences, and you know what. When I think back
- 5:57Speaker 2: to Harry and all of this, I think, yes, he
- 6:00Speaker 2: has to take accountability for his actions, no doubt. And
- 6:03Speaker 2: I think you also have to take into account. He
- 6:05Speaker 2: probably has a lot of regret about how he behaved
- 6:07Speaker 2: and rather than just say I made a mistake and
- 6:09Speaker 2: I'm sorry and please forgive me and let's reconcile, he's
- 6:13Speaker 2: blaming other people and just again shying away from responsibility.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. It's easy to do. I sometimes do this too.
- 6:19Speaker 1: It takes me a minute to admit that I'm part
- 6:22Speaker 1: of the problem. Sometimes I'm most of the problem. But
- 6:27Speaker 1: I can't probably get there too fast. But I can
- 6:30Speaker 1: quickly now get to the fact that I had a
- 6:33Speaker 1: role in this, that I did do stuff that oh
- 6:35Speaker 1: I wish I hadn't. And I think of this interview
- 6:37Speaker 1: if Harry had said that, which is, I'm not innocent here.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I've been involved in this. I did the Oprah interview,
- 6:43Speaker 1: which is by definition press you sat down and did
- 6:47Speaker 1: what two hours special? The royals didn't do that about you,
- 6:51Speaker 1: And so I think here, the more you admit your
- 6:55Speaker 1: own participation, your own involvement in a drama, the better. Mark. Right,
- 7:01Speaker 1: You're pretty good at fessing up for a new mess up.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Mark you're the first to say sorry, or I didn't
- 7:05Speaker 1: mean to say that, or I shouldn't have said that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Pretty good at it.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I think you have to for you to move forward,
- 7:12Speaker 2: you can't kind of, you know, shy around it or
- 7:15Speaker 2: shy away from it, or kind of walk in circles.
- 7:17Speaker 2: You've got to at least admit it head on, especially
- 7:19Speaker 2: if you're going to do it where everything you say
- 7:21Speaker 2: is on the record and going to be repeated over
- 7:23Speaker 2: and over and over again.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Harry, You're too smart. You know how
- 7:28Speaker 1: this works. I'm a little suspicious, but I want to
- 7:30Speaker 1: hear what you think naughty is, which brings us to
- 7:32Speaker 1: our pole question of the day. Prince Harry blames the
- 7:36Speaker 1: UK tabloids for his family few. The question is is
- 7:41Speaker 1: he right or is that tell all book to blame?
- 7:44Speaker 1: What do you blame him? More? The press or Harry controversial.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I go vote on our Twitter page that naughty nice
- 7:52Speaker 1: rom or our Facebook page which is a naughty gossip,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and be sure to check back torm ma' raua to
- 7:58Speaker 1: hear your results. Hey you loup, what are you working on?
- 8:01Speaker 2: This is juicy. Curly Class has broken her silence and
- 8:05Speaker 2: her Taylor Swift falling out. I have been waiting for
- 8:09Speaker 2: this one. Okay. In they stunning turn of events, a supermodel,
- 8:13Speaker 2: Curly Class has finally addressed her rumored rip with pop
- 8:16Speaker 2: star Taylor Swift. When asked if she listens to Taylor's
- 8:20Speaker 2: most recent album, she said called I did the whole
- 8:22Speaker 2: album as my favorite. She said music is classic and
- 8:26Speaker 2: if I had to pick my favorite song, it would
- 8:27Speaker 2: be shit get Off.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Shake it Up. That's a good song. So she's not
- 8:31Speaker 1: really talking about the falling guys here, but it's a
- 8:33Speaker 1: tricky sort of way to get her to talk about Taylor.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So she was on a podcast and she was asked
- 8:38Speaker 1: about Taylor's new music, which is really a sort of
- 8:41Speaker 1: not so subtle way to ask her about Taylor. She
- 8:43Speaker 1: didn't get into why they fell out. If you remember,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I think it was in two thousand and nineteen, that
- 8:50Speaker 1: these two started to not be seen together. They were
- 8:52Speaker 1: once inseparable. Could this be the rekindling of a friendship.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I don't know if doing an interview where you say
- 8:58Speaker 1: you like her album is going to help that. But
- 9:01Speaker 1: something happened between these two, now get don't don't forget Mark. Recently,
- 9:05Speaker 1: we saw Carly at Taylor's concert in Los Angeles. However,
- 9:10Speaker 1: she wasn't in the VIP section, so she didn't get
- 9:13Speaker 1: the tickets through Taylor. She must have got the tickets
- 9:16Speaker 1: through a friend or bought them like the rest of us.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And so you know, if you've got Taylor's email or
- 9:21Speaker 1: if your friends like Mark, if you were playing a
- 9:23Speaker 1: stadium in Los Angeles, I'd text you and say can
- 9:26Speaker 1: I get tickets? And you'd be like yes. But she
- 9:28Speaker 1: didn't do that because she wasn't in the Taylor seats.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So there's definitely drama here. I think at the moment,
- 9:35Speaker 1: at least, this is probably as much as we're going
- 9:38Speaker 1: to get out of Carly Kluss. I don't think she's
- 9:42Speaker 1: ready to sit down and really tell us everything.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I don't either, and I think maybe this might be
- 9:47Speaker 2: the thing that opens the door between her and Taylor.
- 9:49Speaker 2: You know, it's, you know, the chance for her to
- 9:52Speaker 2: say I'm sorry, or it's something like I'm still care,
- 9:56Speaker 2: I'm still here for you, i still support you, and
- 9:58Speaker 2: let you know. Taylor now sees that probably.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you should do that. I remember when Madonna's brother
- 10:03Speaker 1: Christopher fell out with Madonnacas. He wrote a tell all
- 10:05Speaker 1: book about her. And then I had drinks with Christopher
- 10:07Speaker 1: and he was friends again or friendly or starting to
- 10:09Speaker 1: become friends with Madonna, And I said what happened? And
- 10:12Speaker 1: he said, I texted her after the super Bowl and
- 10:14Speaker 1: said she looked fabulous, which he knew would touch all
- 10:17Speaker 1: her buttons. He said, if I said she sounded great,
- 10:19Speaker 1: she wouldn't care. But looking fabulous and she immediately texted
- 10:24Speaker 1: him back high Chris, and that started the relationships. If
- 10:26Speaker 1: you compliment somebody or compliment their work all the way
- 10:30Speaker 1: they look, that could be a first step if we
- 10:33Speaker 1: fall out, Mark, the way to make friends is to
- 10:36Speaker 1: text me, Rob I saw you on morning TV and
- 10:39Speaker 1: you looked fabulous. I couldn't help it. I'd respond immediately
- 10:42Speaker 1: thank you, Mark, and then before you know, it would
- 10:44Speaker 1: be best friends again. Look at that, Okay, moving a
- 10:49Speaker 1: long GGI herdeed is furious with Sucki Waterhouse over Bradley
- 10:54Speaker 1: Cooper comments. So Suki used to date Bradley Cooper and
- 10:59Speaker 1: she said that breakup was just just awful. She even
- 11:03Speaker 1: went as far as to say it was dark and difficult. Well,
- 11:08Speaker 1: now Gigi is dating Bradley and she is furious with
- 11:12Speaker 1: these comments. She's sticking up for her man here. But
- 11:15Speaker 1: I do think don't poke your nose in past relationships
- 11:19Speaker 1: are none of your business. Whoever you've dated before me
- 11:23Speaker 1: none of my business, and I don't really want to
- 11:25Speaker 1: go down that path. All I'm focused on is my relationship,
- 11:30Speaker 1: not relationships that came before me. Where are you Mark?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Do you like to know Kevin Jonas's past? Or are you?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Don't tell me? Don't tell me? Where are you?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Well? I think it's just kind of weird that you
- 11:41Speaker 2: would dat your friend's ex boyfriend. I think that's where
- 11:44Speaker 2: it gets complicated for me, is you know? Yeah? I
- 11:47Speaker 2: guess Sugi wants to talk about this in call a
- 11:49Speaker 2: dark and you know, scary time, and probably would have
- 11:53Speaker 2: wanted to figure out, oh why are you saying this?
- 11:54Speaker 2: But also why are you doing this person? It's it's
- 11:56Speaker 2: a very odd situition.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Oh, it's complicated. The curious to nose is really really
- 12:02Speaker 1: sort of proper way to sell it. I'm a very
- 12:04Speaker 1: nosy person, so I would want to know, Like if
- 12:07Speaker 1: I started to date your Mark, I'd want to know
- 12:09Speaker 1: all about your past. And then I'd say, don't tell me,
- 12:11Speaker 1: it's hurtful. I don't want to hear. But secretly, oh
- 12:15Speaker 1: oh yes, I'd do a deep dive. If i'd google you,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'd see all your business. Do you talk about your
- 12:21Speaker 1: past relationships with your current relationship or no.
- 12:25Speaker 2: We've discussed it, of course, and I think that's part
- 12:27Speaker 2: of you know, the sharing processes. Where have you been
- 12:30Speaker 2: and how did that work out? That's a natural part
- 12:32Speaker 2: of dating. But this is a little bit different since
- 12:35Speaker 2: the friends, and it's very public.
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's very public, it's very sloppy. I sort of love it,
- 12:40Speaker 1: okay quickly before we get a break, Mark Tory Spelling
- 12:43Speaker 1: is revealing her last conversation with Shannon Dougherty. What did
- 12:47Speaker 1: she have to sell?
- 12:48Speaker 2: So sad? So she's opening up a final moment before
- 12:51Speaker 2: Shannon passed, Toy said, I have a lot of regrets
- 12:55Speaker 2: that I didn't have the time to have a second
- 12:57Speaker 2: chance to get past the stuff from the past and
- 13:00Speaker 2: all the good things and really talk it out and
- 13:01Speaker 2: had that last conversation very depressing. And Jenny Garth also
- 13:06Speaker 2: had something similar to say. She said, I wish I
- 13:08Speaker 2: had the opportunity to really sit down and I didn't
- 13:12Speaker 2: get that chance to a heartfelt conversation before she passed.
- 13:16Speaker 1: It's really touching. It made me stop and think, Yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I've had a few falling out It's not many I
- 13:21Speaker 1: hold on to people. I mean, I'm sure I've upset people.
- 13:24Speaker 1: They fell out with me. I don't fall out with anybody.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So many people I'm not talking to me. I'm talking
- 13:30Speaker 1: to everyone, Mark, I just keep talking. But I must
- 13:34Speaker 1: admit it did make me think about my goodness. If
- 13:37Speaker 1: that friend passed, did I have the closure, if that
- 13:42Speaker 1: former colleague, that former friend, if something awful happened, did
- 13:46Speaker 1: we ever get a moment to talk about regrets? And
- 13:50Speaker 1: it's something that I do think about, Mark, when I
- 13:53Speaker 1: get angry with somebody, I always remind myself, this is
- 13:57Speaker 1: just a moment. And am I gonna throw away ninety
- 14:01Speaker 1: percent of the good times because of ten percent of
- 14:04Speaker 1: the bad times? And I often decide no I can
- 14:07Speaker 1: be angry with you, and I can be disappointed in you,
- 14:10Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna throw out our entire friendship because
- 14:14Speaker 1: we're having a bad day, a bad moment, a bad week. Now,
- 14:17Speaker 1: if a friend's toxic and eighty percent of your time
- 14:20Speaker 1: with them is bad, then you should walk away. But
- 14:23Speaker 1: I always try to think, what is my percentage point?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Where do I fall on the spectrum? I say about
- 14:30Speaker 1: seventy percent mark. If I enjoy you seventy percent, then
- 14:35Speaker 1: the other percentage is worth it for me. Where do
- 14:39Speaker 1: you fall on that scale?
- 14:40Speaker 2: You know? I hope that the people that are my
- 14:42Speaker 2: life friends, acquaintances, how whatever have you, you know, they
- 14:46Speaker 2: understand even if you don't have that conversation that I
- 14:48Speaker 2: care and that we're you know, we're close and you
- 14:50Speaker 2: mean something to me. I really don't have those kind
- 14:52Speaker 2: of conflicts in life where I have to cut someone out.
- 14:55Speaker 2: That rarely happens, and so but it's important. It's a
- 14:58Speaker 2: great reminder that nothing is promised. Tomorrow may and I come,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and so, you know, let people know how you feel.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Let people know how you feel. I'm not ashamed to
- 15:06Speaker 1: say anymore. I love you. Tell your friends, Tell your
- 15:09Speaker 1: loved ones. Tell people you're meeting the coffee shop Mental
- 15:14Speaker 1: enjoyed today. Okay, we're going to take a quick break,
- 15:16Speaker 1: then we will be right back. Welcome back to the
- 15:21Speaker 1: Northy but I show I'm the host pop shoot with
- 15:23Speaker 1: their dear friend Mark Loopoh hey Loopy, let's get to
- 15:26Speaker 1: the poles.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Lasher.
- 15:29Speaker 1: We talked about Hailey Bieber, she's pregnant, dropping a bombshell
- 15:33Speaker 1: saying I'm not close to my family anymore. So she's
- 15:36Speaker 1: not close with the Baldwins. This has been complicated because
- 15:39Speaker 1: they have said stuff about her. She doesn't like her dad,
- 15:42Speaker 1: Stephen Baldwin talks out her uncle Alec was in on trial.
- 15:46Speaker 1: That's been tossed out. But there's a lot of messiness
- 15:49Speaker 1: with the Baldwins. And so I think because of her
- 15:51Speaker 1: relationship with Justin, who's quite private for someone who's as
- 15:54Speaker 1: famous as he is, he doesn't like this messiness. He
- 15:56Speaker 1: doesn't really like it. So I think she's distanced herself.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Now guess what her dad did. He posted a shady
- 16:02Speaker 1: video and can't help. So he's just confirmed why we
- 16:07Speaker 1: are no longer close. Our question was, so will she
- 16:11Speaker 1: regret this? Will she regret it often if you fall
- 16:14Speaker 1: out with family members, there is a regret or you're like, oh,
- 16:17Speaker 1: family hold your heartstrings tighter than anybody else. They can
- 16:20Speaker 1: really really upset you or make you full of joy.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And so will she regret it? Let's have a naughtys
- 16:26Speaker 1: Seventy percent say no, good riddance. Now I think I'm
- 16:29Speaker 1: with you notties. Normally I would say family here, but
- 16:32Speaker 1: I think this family has had lots and lots of
- 16:34Speaker 1: chances and they keep messing up.
- 16:36Speaker 2: It's so sloppy.
