- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey,
- 0:03Speaker 1: and it's time right now for today's word. God is
- 0:08Speaker 1: working beyond what you can see. God is working beyond
- 0:14Speaker 1: what you can see. Joshua 3.13 says, As soon as
- 0:17Speaker 1: the priests who carry the ark of the Lord, the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Lord of all the earth, set foot in the Jordan,
- 0:23Speaker 1: its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand
- 0:27Speaker 1: up in a heap. Have you ever prayed for a
- 0:30Speaker 1: breakthrough but looked like your circumstances weren't going to change?
- 0:34Speaker 1: You looked at it and you said, God, where are you?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Nothing seems to be changing. Maybe you've been believing for healing,
- 0:40Speaker 1: for restoration, financial provision. Maybe a family breakthrough or a
- 0:43Speaker 1: new opportunity. You prayed, you trusted, you've taken steps of faith.
- 0:48Speaker 1: But when you look at what's happening around you, it
- 0:50Speaker 1: seems like the waters are still rushing. Well, let me
- 0:54Speaker 1: encourage you today. What you see is not always the
- 0:57Speaker 1: full picture of what God is doing. In Joshua chapter 13,
- 1:00Speaker 1: the Israelites were standing at the Jordan River preparing to
- 1:04Speaker 1: enter the promised land. The river was overflowing its banks
- 1:08Speaker 1: and crossing it seemed impossible. God instructed the priest carrying
- 1:12Speaker 1: the Ark of the Covenant representing his presence to step
- 1:16Speaker 1: on into the water. Now imagine the anticipation. The people
- 1:20Speaker 1: were watching, expecting God to make a way. But when
- 1:23Speaker 1: the priest's feet touched the water, the river didn't immediately
- 1:26Speaker 1: look different. The waters were still flowing. The obstacle was
- 1:30Speaker 1: still visible. Yet God had already given the instruction and
- 1:35Speaker 1: the miracle was unfolding beyond what they could see right then.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Scripture tells us that the water stopped. upstream allowing the
- 1:44Speaker 1: people to cross on dry land oh my goodness the
- 1:47Speaker 1: priest had to step forward in obedience before they could
- 1:50Speaker 1: see the full results and see sometimes that's where faith
- 1:54Speaker 1: is tested not after the miracle becomes obvious but while
- 1:58Speaker 1: you're still standing in front of what looks impossible You
- 2:03Speaker 1: may be looking at the downstream circumstances of your life
- 2:06Speaker 1: and thinking nothing is happening. But don't let what you
- 2:09Speaker 1: see in the natural right now make you abandon your faith,
- 2:13Speaker 1: your prayers, or your obedience. God may be working in
- 2:16Speaker 1: ways you can't recognize yet. He may be opening doors,
- 2:20Speaker 1: arranging opportunities, changing situations, or preparing you for what comes next.
- 2:25Speaker 1: But remember this, trusting God does not mean we assume
- 2:29Speaker 1: every desired outcome will happen exactly like we imagined or
- 2:33Speaker 1: our preferred timeline. Faith means we trust his presence and
- 2:38Speaker 1: wisdom while continuing to obey him. So keep praying. You
- 2:42Speaker 1: keep moving forward. Keep doing what God has placed in
- 2:45Speaker 1: front of you and don't allow the visible obstacles to
- 2:48Speaker 1: make you forget the invisible God who is greater than
- 2:51Speaker 1: every obstacle. Oh, my Lord, the river may be overflowing,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but God is still the Lord of the waters. And
- 2:58Speaker 1: whatever you face today, you don't face it alone. Father,
- 3:00Speaker 1: thank you for being with us even when we can't
- 3:03Speaker 1: see what you're doing. When circumstances look impossible, help us
- 3:07Speaker 1: to trust your presence and follow your direction. God, give
- 3:10Speaker 1: us the courage to take steps of obedience, patience when
- 3:13Speaker 1: the answer doesn't come immediately, and wisdom to recognize the
- 3:17Speaker 1: work you're doing in our lives. Strength, God, strengthen our
- 3:22Speaker 1: faith and help us to remember that you're greater than
- 3:25Speaker 1: every obstacle before us. We put our hope, our trust,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and our confidence in you in Jesus' name. That's your
- 3:31Speaker 1: word for today. Take it, apply it to your everyday life,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It is
- 3:37Speaker 1: your early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey.
