- 0:21Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Welcome in for another exciting edition of
- 0:24Speaker 1: JFK Book Reviews, a division of the Lone Gunman Podcast.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Today we will be reviewing Kennedy Nipples, I mean Kennedy Ripples,
- 0:39Speaker 1: a true love story, a priest, a woman, and the
- 0:44Speaker 1: assassination of JFK by Mary Ann Sullivan. Now I do
- 0:50Speaker 1: have this book. I do not have the cover of
- 0:58Speaker 1: this book. I just have the the hard cover. I
- 1:04Speaker 1: mean I have the hardcover, but I don't have the
- 1:07Speaker 1: slip cover. And this is a autograph, signed first edition
- 1:12Speaker 1: copy by Mary Anne Sullivan. This book is pretty thick.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It clocks in at four hundred and fifty six pages.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It was published in nineteen and ninety four by Lillian
- 1:39Speaker 1: James Publishing House. You can find it on Amazon link
- 1:44Speaker 1: is in the description for roughly around twenty twenty five
- 1:48Speaker 1: bucks ish or so not on Kendall. And I don't
- 1:55Speaker 1: know that it ever got a second publishing. I don't know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but allegedly this is a true love story. And if
- 2:11Speaker 1: you've ever read Judith Baker's fiction novel Me and Lee
- 2:19Speaker 1: and Yeah you heard me write fiction novel, this book
- 2:24Speaker 1: smokes it in comparison when it comes to the steamy parts.
- 2:32Speaker 1: If you know what I'm saying. I mean it got
- 2:36Speaker 1: big bad Bob all kinds of arouse reading this book.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But we'll get there, I promise. Ah. Sorry, I get
- 2:47Speaker 1: a little excited there. Now. What makes this book interesting
- 2:53Speaker 1: is that it circles around a lesser known character associated
- 3:01Speaker 1: with the Kennedy assassination. And this man's name is Father
- 3:04Speaker 1: Walter McCann, known affectionately as Michael to his paramours, if
- 3:12Speaker 1: you will. Back in the day pre assassination, father McCann
- 3:24Speaker 1: was a Catholic priest helping out in the Dallas area
- 3:29Speaker 1: as a Cuban relocation specialist in the Cuban Catholic in
- 3:38Speaker 1: the Catholic let me try this again, the Catholic Cuban
- 3:45Speaker 1: Relocation program. And he was the director of it in Dallas.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And apparently this was a program put forth by President
- 3:52Speaker 1: Kennedy where Catholic churches would help relocate Cuban refugees, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: Father McCann was in charge of the Dallas one. Allegedly,
- 4:10Speaker 1: in early April of nineteen sixty three, this lady Mary
- 4:20Speaker 1: Anne Sullivan was married not to Father McCann but to
- 4:31Speaker 1: a guy named Mark Sullivan and she went on a
- 4:40Speaker 1: trip and came back and suddenly Father McCann was a
- 4:49Speaker 1: priest at her church. And let's just say, Father McCann
- 4:58Speaker 1: was really real doing something for Miss Maryanne Sullibant's loins,
- 5:03Speaker 1: if you know what I'm saying. She was very hot
- 5:08Speaker 1: and bothered by this man's appearance and his the way
- 5:14Speaker 1: he talked, and just to read this, it's just everything
- 5:18Speaker 1: about him. She just it just this guy was just
- 5:25Speaker 1: doing it for and all the more because he's a
- 5:29Speaker 1: Catholic priest and he's supposed to be celibate. Right, Well,
- 5:40Speaker 1: let's just say things happened, if you will, and she
- 5:51Speaker 1: made him uncelibate, and according to her, she really went
- 6:04Speaker 1: out of her way to make father McCann a very
- 6:08Speaker 1: happy man, if you know what I'm saying, to the
- 6:14Speaker 1: point of, let's just say, I pray quitus, she would
- 6:31Speaker 1: get lotion and massage him down from head to toe
- 6:35Speaker 1: and proceed to suckle on each of his toes. Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and apparently do a lot of other things that a
- 6:46Speaker 1: lot of other women weren't doing in the early sixties. Apparently,
- 6:51Speaker 1: if you know what I'm saying, Yeah, there is some
- 6:57Speaker 1: graphic detail when it comes to their hot and spicy
- 7:00Speaker 1: encounters in this book. So if that's the kind of
- 7:04Speaker 1: thing that turns you on and gets you hot and bothered,
- 7:06Speaker 1: and you like reading a steamy, smutty things involving Catholic
- 7:11Speaker 1: priests who shouldn't be doing these things that make it
- 7:13Speaker 1: even worse, then this is the book for you. Now,
- 7:21Speaker 1: the sexually smutty part of this aside, there is a
- 7:26Speaker 1: story to the book. It's a book of forbidden love.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Because again he's a priest, she's married. I believe early
- 7:40Speaker 1: in sixty four she does get a divorce finally, but
- 7:44Speaker 1: her husband found out what was happening, or at least suspected,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and was not happy about the father blessing his wife
- 7:57Speaker 1: if you will, in private places, or baptizing her in
- 8:06Speaker 1: never mind holy mana from the heavens. So again I
- 8:16Speaker 1: believe their first encounter took place in early April sixty three.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But there was another paramour who had their eyes on
- 8:29Speaker 1: one Father McCann, around the same time, and she was
- 8:38Speaker 1: a Cuban refugee who had recently shown up and needed
- 8:41Speaker 1: some relocation, if you know what I'm saying, And Father
- 8:46Speaker 1: mcann helped her out her and her family. You may
- 8:50Speaker 1: have heard of them before. That would be the Odios.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Sylvia Odio and her sisters and father McCann apparently tried
- 9:05Speaker 1: to keep her at arm's length for a time. And
- 9:10Speaker 1: ironically enough, Odio and her sisters or two of her sisters,
- 9:15Speaker 1: went to the movies on April tenth, nineteen sixty three,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and weirdly, in the middle of the movie, Sylvia stood
- 9:25Speaker 1: up to go to the bathroom, said you know, I'll
- 9:26Speaker 1: be right back, and she never came back. So the
- 9:32Speaker 1: sisters enlisted the help of father McCann and the local
- 9:35Speaker 1: police to try to you know, find Sylvia what happened
- 9:40Speaker 1: to her. They finally found her wandering around Turtle Creek
- 9:44Speaker 1: Boulevard in the vicinity of General Walker's house on April tenth,
- 9:51Speaker 1: nineteen sixty three. Sylvia Odio. That's weird because that's the
- 10:02Speaker 1: same day that somebody decided to take a shot at
- 10:06Speaker 1: General Walker. So there's that. And then let's see here.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I marked a couple passages in here as well. And
- 10:28Speaker 1: again Mary Anne Sullivan, the lady who wrote this, remembers
- 10:35Speaker 1: being very upset because after Odio was found, because like
- 10:41Speaker 1: apparently Silvio, Odia would have nervous breakdowns and fainting spells
- 10:45Speaker 1: and things like that. And you know, she thought that
- 10:49Speaker 1: that Sylvia was like she wanted McCann's like attention and affection.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And she thought that for some reason that she had
- 10:58Speaker 1: faked this in order to have Father mccaann by our
- 11:01Speaker 1: bedside all night, if you know what I'm saying. And again,
- 11:06Speaker 1: at this time, Sylvia Odio is a very young, newbile
- 11:10Speaker 1: hot looking Latina who fond of the sexuals, had by
- 11:20Speaker 1: the age of twenty five four kids already okay, so
- 11:24Speaker 1: not averse to doing the naughty, if you know what
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm saying. And it's believed, but not admitted to or
- 11:36Speaker 1: anything like that, that Sylvia Odio and father McCann were
- 11:42Speaker 1: banging on the sly if you will. Let's see so
- 11:54Speaker 1: in the book. There's lots of different parts in chapters
- 11:58Speaker 1: to the book, but some of the more interesting things
- 12:00Speaker 1: I want to point out here. As she says that
- 12:07Speaker 1: the date of October one, nineteen sixty three, is etched
- 12:11Speaker 1: in her mind for several reasons. Number one, she says
- 12:17Speaker 1: the October first was the Martino book review, the last
- 12:22Speaker 1: time to see my love before his disappearance, now I
- 12:28Speaker 1: know that John Martino, who had been held in a
- 12:32Speaker 1: Cuban prison by Castro and released, has had released his
- 12:37Speaker 1: book and was doing the book tour circuit and was
- 12:44Speaker 1: in Dallas possibly on October first, and Mary Anne and
- 12:50Speaker 1: father McCann went to see it, which is interesting, as
- 12:56Speaker 1: I live to say. Also October first, she says, the
- 13:00Speaker 1: night Sylvia moved to her new address. Now, if you remember,
- 13:06Speaker 1: allegedly the date of the audio incident happened before Oswald
- 13:11Speaker 1: went to Mexico, allegedly, which would have placed it somewhere
- 13:18Speaker 1: in the September twenty fifth, twenty sixth night. She has
- 13:24Speaker 1: it in her book. Marianne has it October first was
- 13:28Speaker 1: the night that Sylvia moved to her new address, so
- 13:30Speaker 1: apparently shortly after the audio incident that Odio moved like
- 13:40Speaker 1: very quickly after October. The first was also Marcella, which
- 13:48Speaker 1: is a friend of hers, also part of this Cuban
- 13:51Speaker 1: relocation program. Marcella had three late night visitors looking for
- 13:58Speaker 1: Sylvia Odio sound familiar. They introduced themselves as get this
- 14:06Speaker 1: one bearing the name Leon, and Marcella gives them Sylvia's address,
- 14:15Speaker 1: and again this is dated in her book Marianne's book
- 14:18Speaker 1: October First, which if the person with them was Oswald,
- 14:27Speaker 1: he couldn't have been in Mexico if it was somebody
- 14:30Speaker 1: impersonating Oswald's Sure she has one to hear. October First,
- 14:38Speaker 1: a link in quotes of history whatever that means, planned history, conspiracy, YadA, YadA, YadA. Now,
- 14:51Speaker 1: what's also odd about father McCann is apparently about six
- 15:04Speaker 1: weeks before the assassination, which would be somewhere in the
- 15:09Speaker 1: neighborhood of mid October, maybe second week of October, shortly
- 15:13Speaker 1: after the last time that she saw him, Father McCann
- 15:21Speaker 1: mysteriously disappears and stops talking to her and just she
- 15:27Speaker 1: can't find him, and everybody's panicking. Nobody knows what's going on.
- 15:31Speaker 1: The church denies knowing anything, And weeks later he is
- 15:34Speaker 1: located in Parkland Hospitals psych ward okay, heavily medicated and ill.
- 15:43Speaker 1: He is released to his mother's care one week prior
- 15:46Speaker 1: to the assassination, and it said that he was in
- 15:50Speaker 1: really bad shape and possibly had been the subject of
- 15:54Speaker 1: a frontal lobotomy. Craziness here, craziness Now, that's, of course,
- 16:01Speaker 1: that's not confirmed. Nobody knows that, but definitely. He was
- 16:06Speaker 1: in a bad way and released to his mother's care
- 16:08Speaker 1: one week prior to the assassination, so at this point
- 16:11Speaker 1: he had been missing for five weeks and then shows
- 16:15Speaker 1: up in Parkland Hospital psych ward. Now, four days after
- 16:22Speaker 1: JFK's death, Mary Anne gets a call from father Mccaann's
- 16:31Speaker 1: mother and says, quote, they came and got him, Mary Anne.
- 16:36Speaker 1: He told me as he left, I am no longer
- 16:38Speaker 1: your son, and you are not my mother. Forget I
- 16:42Speaker 1: ever existed. And then a small postcard arrived one week later,
- 16:47Speaker 1: addressed in shaky writing, Mary Anne, don't look back. Sorry.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I song later popped in my head. Don't look back.
- 16:57Speaker 1: You can never look back now, don't look back. You
- 17:00Speaker 1: must never see me again. Sign Walter and not Michael,
- 17:05Speaker 1: which is what she called him, which is weird. And
- 17:13Speaker 1: she searched for three years trying to find the love
- 17:19Speaker 1: of her life. I mean nitschick, Marian. She was down
- 17:23Speaker 1: bad for father mccainn I mean he must have his
- 17:28Speaker 1: holy staff, must have been performing miracles, if you know
- 17:34Speaker 1: what I'm saying. She was down bad. She was even
- 17:38Speaker 1: hiring She hired private detectives to try to find him.
- 17:45Speaker 1: She also got involved with Lieutenant George Butler of the
- 17:49Speaker 1: Dallas Police Department to try to find him. And she
- 17:53Speaker 1: makes the claim in her book that Lieutenant George Butler
- 18:00Speaker 1: one night, after looking for this guy for a while
- 18:07Speaker 1: and dealing with her, apparently sexually assaulted her in the
- 18:18Speaker 1: backseat of a vehicle. And let's just say, she goes
- 18:23Speaker 1: into some detail about it, and it is wild, wild
- 18:30Speaker 1: stuff in there. There's also things in this book that
- 18:41Speaker 1: she claims that I don't know, you know, about certain
- 18:51Speaker 1: people knowing certain people. And there is a connection here
- 18:55Speaker 1: too with the whole Martin's Is thing that we've looked into.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Between Sylvia Odio, this woman, Lucille O'Connell, this Johnny Juan Martin,
- 19:08Speaker 1: this Gunrunner dude, and father McCann. They're all mixed up together.
- 19:12Speaker 1: They all know each other and it's a crazy, crazy story.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Is it true? I don't know. I mean, this woman
- 19:26Speaker 1: claims it's a true love story. I mean, why would
- 19:30Speaker 1: she make up this oddly weird story about banging a
- 19:38Speaker 1: Catholic priest and like ruining her marriage, And I mean
- 19:42Speaker 1: it doesn't paint her in a very good light. You know,
- 19:45Speaker 1: she has children, She's like tracking this guy down like
- 19:50Speaker 1: a crazy person, like she know, she tracks him down
- 19:52Speaker 1: at one point, I think in Florida, New Orleans, and
- 19:57Speaker 1: that's the weird thing. So father mckinn shows up going
- 20:03Speaker 1: to Loyola University in New Orleans, which is another hot
- 20:07Speaker 1: bed of Cuban exile activity. He then goes to Florida,
- 20:14Speaker 1: which is another hotbed of Cuban exile activity, West Palm Beach.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And while he's away, one day when she went to
- 20:21Speaker 1: visit him and had a hot little tryst with him
- 20:26Speaker 1: while they were in Florida, he had to leave for
- 20:28Speaker 1: a little bit, and she ends up going through his
- 20:31Speaker 1: shit right now, She says, the apartment he was staying
- 20:35Speaker 1: in was very sparsely decorated, hardly any furniture, hardly any
- 20:41Speaker 1: personal items, Like it was like a very transient apartment,
- 20:46Speaker 1: like either this dude ain't staying here long or this
- 20:50Speaker 1: dude ain't ain't got nothing like you know. But she
- 20:54Speaker 1: said she came across a briefcase in one of the closets,
- 20:58Speaker 1: and she, of course she was snooping through it and
- 21:02Speaker 1: found pictures of a very young Sylvia Odio, like a
- 21:10Speaker 1: teenage Sylvia Odio, and that pissed her off, and she
- 21:15Speaker 1: also found pictures of Father McCann uh, allegedly in a
- 21:26Speaker 1: mug shot or some kind of official looking picture where
- 21:34Speaker 1: you know, there was numbers in front of it, like
- 21:36Speaker 1: a mug shot. Maybe maybe a work id or or something.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I don't know. So, you know, this gets you thinking
- 21:47Speaker 1: a little bit about who Father McCann. Who the hell
- 21:54Speaker 1: was this guy? Right? You know, because a man, a
- 21:58Speaker 1: young man that turns his life over to God and
- 22:00Speaker 1: becomes a Catholic priest generally wouldn't give into the temptations
- 22:09Speaker 1: of the pleasure of the flesh so easily. I mean,
- 22:17Speaker 1: at the time, I think he's twenty six years old
- 22:18Speaker 1: and he's done banged two hot you know, human chicks.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, who am I to judge?
- 22:27Speaker 1: I you know, hey, when it's when it's when it's
- 22:30Speaker 1: there in front of you, you know, I mean, you know,
- 22:34Speaker 1: what are you gonna do? It's not for me to judge.
- 22:38Speaker 1: God will judge type of thing. Uh. You know, could
- 22:48Speaker 1: this guy have been working undercover for either the FBI
- 22:56Speaker 1: or the CIA, because you know, he's placed in very
- 23:00Speaker 1: close proximity to Cuban exiles. He would be the perfect
- 23:04Speaker 1: guy to trust. Who better to trust than a priest, right,
- 23:10Speaker 1: and to be able to get very close to these
- 23:13Speaker 1: important Cubans and be a trusted confidante to Cuban exiles.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I mean, I could see the intelligence agency doing something
- 23:27Speaker 1: like that. You know. Now what's interesting to me is
- 23:37Speaker 1: at some point in the early seventies, after you know,
- 23:41Speaker 1: chasing this man around the world to different states and
- 23:44Speaker 1: everything else, they finally decide that, you know, it's not
- 23:50Speaker 1: meant to be, you know, we have to stop this
- 23:52Speaker 1: kind of thing and move on with our lives and
- 23:54Speaker 1: blah blah blah. And I believe she gets back with
- 23:59Speaker 1: her her first husband, Mark, father McCann. I don't know
- 24:05Speaker 1: what he does, but apparently he's still a father, and
- 24:12Speaker 1: you know, as time goes by, you know, interest in
- 24:18Speaker 1: the case Wayne's and things like that, but it still
- 24:22Speaker 1: leaves a lingering fog over everything, like because it's it's
- 24:29Speaker 1: it's very odd because like when when when father McCann
- 24:33Speaker 1: went to New Orleans, good to Loyola, you know, he
- 24:36Speaker 1: was still involved in the priesthood, and one of his
- 24:42Speaker 1: good friends at Loyola was a professor by the name
- 24:46Speaker 1: of august and Guittart who happens to be silvi Odio's uncle.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, by the way, so again this is this
- 24:59Speaker 1: is crazy talk. And this is all written in a
- 25:01Speaker 1: book that came out in nineteen ninety four. People, not
- 25:08Speaker 1: now after we got all the files, but this was
- 25:12Speaker 1: published in nineteen ninety four. And here's a wild claim
- 25:18Speaker 1: from the book that the picture. Let me see if
- 25:23Speaker 1: I can pull this up here because it's wild. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: so I said, there's footnotes in the book about people
- 25:38Speaker 1: she talks about. Okay, now we all seen this picture before,
- 25:43Speaker 1: right of the mystery man in Mexico City, allegedly Oswald. Right, well,
- 25:51Speaker 1: for some reason, this is audio exhibit number one, and
- 25:56Speaker 1: it says Gretel and ryouh, my thanks, fund regards, fond
- 26:04Speaker 1: regards to Carola Carmen Rosa Renee, loving greetings, and my
- 26:11Speaker 1: thanks to all, but especially to Maurice and Joe Kisses,
- 26:13Speaker 1: Papa Almador Odio. So she's saying that this mystery guy
- 26:20Speaker 1: in Mexico City, misidentified as Lee Harvey Oswald, as actually
- 26:24Speaker 1: silvi Odio's father Amadaro or whatever his name is, not
- 26:30Speaker 1: really in a Cuban prison, but for some reason there
- 26:37Speaker 1: and then father mccannon goes on to say that the
- 26:39Speaker 1: only people that he ever talked to regarding the Kennedy
- 26:42Speaker 1: assassination was he was interviewed by one of the Warrant
- 26:46Speaker 1: Commission staffers and he was interviewed by He said an
- 26:57Speaker 1: FBI man came to talk to him when he was
- 26:59Speaker 1: in New work Orleans, and that he knew the FBI
- 27:03Speaker 1: man because this FBI man was part of the parish
- 27:06Speaker 1: where he was at before. And uh, who was it.
- 27:14Speaker 1: One of lucille'connell's friends was a colonel, a lady by
- 27:21Speaker 1: the name well, I don't know her name, but she
- 27:22Speaker 1: was Colonel Castor's wife, who's also dealing with the Cuban exiles.
- 27:28Speaker 1: But one of the one of the kids in her
- 27:31Speaker 1: class was James Hosty's son, And McCann claims that Hosty,
- 27:38Speaker 1: James Hosty, was the FBI man who came to talk
- 27:40Speaker 1: to him when he was in New Orleans, which is interesting.
- 27:46Speaker 1: And then she said again that he was interviewed for
- 27:48Speaker 1: Frontline at some point. Don't know if they ever used it.
- 27:54Speaker 1: And again Nick Jackson tracked him down in the mid
- 28:03Speaker 1: two thousands and interviewed him again. Now, a lot of
- 28:09Speaker 1: the things he said he denies, you know, directly, he
- 28:17Speaker 1: says he never had a relationship with Silviodio, which, okay, bro,
- 28:22Speaker 1: you know, you can deny it all you want, but
- 28:27Speaker 1: I believe Sylviodio said as much. And the lady that
- 28:32Speaker 1: wrote his book surely thought he was banging her at
- 28:37Speaker 1: the same time he was banging her. So look, it's
- 28:45Speaker 1: an interesting book. And if if you want to read
- 28:49Speaker 1: a book about the Kennedy assassination of some of the
- 28:52Speaker 1: lesser known players with a highly sexualized storyline, Kennedy Nipple,
- 29:00Speaker 1: I mean, Kennedy Ripples is the book for you. I'm
- 29:04Speaker 1: telling you, like I said, had big bad bibe all
- 29:09Speaker 1: kinds of steamed up over here, steamed up the goggles
- 29:14Speaker 1: on your boy. But uh uh yeah. So this book
- 29:23Speaker 1: from what it is, and you know, it's one of
- 29:33Speaker 1: those it's a story. Can we prove any of it? No?
- 29:43Speaker 1: Is it interesting? Yes? I just find it interesting that
- 29:49Speaker 1: she got some things right in nineteen ninety four that
- 29:51Speaker 1: she probably shouldn't have known unless she was in the
- 29:54Speaker 1: know back then. So again, I don't want to give
- 30:00Speaker 1: away everything in the book, but it's it's pretty interesting
- 30:08Speaker 1: and very steamy, hot and sexy. If you know, what
- 30:11Speaker 1: I'm saying. So with that being said, I'm gonna give
- 30:18Speaker 1: this book six big large throbbing guns up. That's right,
- 30:31Speaker 1: six big throbbing guns up from Big Bad Bob. I
- 30:35Speaker 1: ain't mad at it. Linking the description and folks, if
- 30:43Speaker 1: you like that book review. We also do a podcast
- 30:46Speaker 1: here's live streamed every Friday night at seven pm Eastern
- 30:50Speaker 1: when the Kennedy assassination. We take a look at all
- 30:52Speaker 1: different aspects of it and try to break it down.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Got almost four hundred episodes up come out. I'll put
- 31:01Speaker 1: some links up here for you guys to check out
- 31:04Speaker 1: some other book reviews, maybe a link to the podcast,
