Man Gets 35 Years for Child Abuse | Boise News
A 40-year-old man, David Smith, just received a brutal 35-year prison sentence for brutally abusing a two-year-old boy—including bruises, eye bleeding, and genital injuries—while already on probation for a DUI. Prosecutors demanded he serve 15 years before parole, and despite his lawyer’s plea for treatment, the judge sided with the state. Smith didn’t admit guilt in court, but the judge ignored that.
