After 40 years of unwavering service, Allen County’s Family Relations Magistrate Daniel Pappas is retiring—his last day on the bench: October 30, 2026. Since 2013, he’s handled everything from juvenile cases to custody disputes, building a legacy rooted in compassion and justice. Before the bench, he spent 27 years as a lawyer in criminal, personal injury, and family law—and held public roles in DeKalb and Allen counties.
