Free Afternoon Bus Rides Ending for Seniors | Christchurch News
Seniors in Canterbury face a major change starting September 1st — free afternoon bus rides (3 PM to 6:30 PM weekdays) for SuperGold cardholders are ending. While weekend and holiday fares remain free, weekday afternoons will now require payment as part of the nationwide Motu Move ticketing rollout. Environment Canterbury admits this may add costs for those who rely on these rides and is committed to clear communication and community support to ease the transition.
