How serious is social media addiction among youth?
Meta has agreed to pay up to $17.1 billion to resolve lawsuits alleging that its social media platforms harmed children and contributed to teen social media addiction. In addition, it has agreed to make a suite of changes to make the platforms less compelling for minors. Will these changes be effective? Dr. Asher Weller, Academic Director of the Youth Division at the Israel Center on Addiction and Mental Health spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal
