- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Hey y'all, welcome to tonight's episode of the Final Floor Podcast.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Will Ernest, here tonight with uh my new guests, uh Ethan Wolf and Zane Wall.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: How are y'all?
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: How y'all doing?
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: How's it going?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Doing good, yeah.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Met them a few months ago and finally got them on the podcast.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Took them long enough.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: I've been wanting I've been wanting to get both y'all on the podcast for a couple months now, probably at least.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: So finally uh got it all done, but we'll jump right into it.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Uh want to start with some indie car news.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Uh, new rules to earn an indie car seat for anyone trying to make the jump up from uh indie next, their support series indie car.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: They will separate those drivers into three tiers.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: They have uh competitively qualified, which is drivers who are an indie next champion, uh top three finisher in an indie next season, or winner of at least two indie next races within a 24-month time span.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: They have evaluation edge eligible, which is just drivers with one indie next win, and then resume review required, which is all other indie next drivers.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Competitive competitively qualified drivers will still have to make sure they pass medical and licensing requirements and stuff like that.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Evaluation eligible have to take a driver evaluation test, and drivers who require a resume review will have not only their time in Indy Next look at but any other series that they have time in.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: But I can see what indie car is trying to do.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: They're trying to basically have all their drivers just kind of feed uh through their own support series to try and strengthen the indie car field.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: But I I personally like it, but we'll see how it kind of all shapes out.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: But I like it personally.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: But during opening practice at Laguna Sega, it was announced that Alexander Rossi and Alex Pillow they would test the new IR-28 chassis on the Indianapolis Motorspeedway Oval tomorrow and Thursday with Rossi testing on Wednesday, representing Chevrolet and Pillow testing on Thursday representing Honda.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: This is the second test for the new chassis that was tested also by Rossi and Pelot on the IMS road course last month.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: So I do think that the IR 28 chassis is going to be pretty good when it debuts in 2028.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I think honestly, like that that'll help like uh switch up the variety of the field a little bit because like we've seen obviously the dominance of Alex Pelot throughout that entire series.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And we haven't really seen any car make like a significant car change since like 2018 when they added all those aero packages.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: I'd be interested to see what this new car can do and how it'll uh hopefully increase the competition.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was gonna say a good point.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: There 2018 they had all the aero package stuff, and then 2012 is when the last chassis debuted.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: So they had that thing for fifteen years, but the IR28, it's it's not only new aero changes, but also just a completely new chassis.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: So I'm curious if it's gonna end up like the next gen was when it debuted in 22 on the NASCAR side, if it's gonna completely just throw caution to the wind and just have parody and just have a new winner basically every single week.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: So I'm curious if that's what it's gonna do.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: But of course with the IndyCar season now over, which we'll talk about Laguna Sega in a bit, silly season's beginning to ramp up as well.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Connor Daly will run full time in the 24th for Dry and Reinbold Racing and their return as a team to IndyCar for the first time since 2012.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: And it was announced during Laguna Sega weekend that Mick Schumacher will fill Felix Rosenquist's seat at Meyershank Racing next year as Rosenquist heads to McLaren along with Scott Dixon, who left Chip Canse Racing after 25 years, so that rides up for grabs, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kristen Lingard got that right, as he's now out in McLaren now that the season's over.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: But I there's not really any other seat that's as coveted as Dixon's seat.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, I guess Pillow, but of course Pelow's not going anywhere, so I'm curious who's gonna fill that seat.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: I would think Lingard is definitely a top candidate, especially if he has uh prowess on road courses.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: And I d I know Chip Canassi said in an interview a while ago, he wants some Alex Pelow wants somebody that can challenge him, and I definitely feel like Christian Lingard is that guy that can challenge it.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I do think so, because Lungard he's got three career wins, but he picked up uh two this year, 'cause he had he had the win at Toronto in twenty three, I believe, was his first win, and then he go he won the Indy Road course this year and also Road America.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So I think if there is anybody that could come into Ganassi and challenge Pelow or at least kinda put up a fight towards him, then I think Lungar can do it.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Because Dixon definitely had a down year and then it was announced that he was leaving Ganassy after twenty-five years, so yeah.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: I mean his uh his record streak of I believe twenty-four years with uh a win in every season that got snapped.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: So yeah, but talking uh switching gears now, want to talk the world one hundred at Eldora, at least somebody wants to yf about that.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: So yeah, Zane.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Well, obviously we know uh World 100 this weekend at Eldora.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: I feel like some of the major guys that you want to watch out for is uh like guys like Bobby Pierce, Jonathan Davenport, uh Brandon Shepard, and New Rising Upcoming Star, very young, like 18, something like that, Trey Mills.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: He was pretty good during the late model dream earlier this year.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I believe he led the most laps during the PDC, if I'm correct.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Am I recalling?
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: I could tell that for sure because I was I was there at that one.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, and plus we got Justin Haley making his Eldor or his World 100 debut.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: What do we think he's gonna do?
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, he ran the Balts Classic like the other day, and I think he finished 15th, so I think he'll do okay, but um I I kind of have the same, I guess, ceiling as whenever Hosovar gets into a late model, and it's just if he can start the A-Mane, that's a success.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: Ethan, you got anything to add on to that?
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's pretty much my thoughts too.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Like, I haven't like I haven't really seen Justin Haley have like a ton of experience on dirt.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: So I think I think he obviously still has a learning curve to get through there, but I definitely think like if he can learn the way, kind of like you said, like Hosovar did, like I think he can hold his own.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: I think he can put up a good fight.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it's just it's kind of just a big question mark, in my opinion.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: It's like he could be good.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: He could end up not even making the feature, but we'll see.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I mean it's his first start in a late model.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: I mean, we all know how good he is when it comes to a modified.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: He he's ran really good in the summer nationals with the modifies he I think he won one race this year.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: I think so in the mod in the summer nationals, I know that, but I definitely feel like the top ones to watch is definitely gonna be the guys that could ride that top line really good.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, your last three winners, though, uh was Hudson O'Neill back in 23.
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's had terrible luck at Eldor ever since then.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: And uh 24 was Ricky Thornton.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's kind of been up and down to El Dora here and there.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: That was probably the one good race he's had there.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: Eldor in his private career.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: And then Bobby Pierce.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: He's always good anywhere you can.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: It's Bobby Pierce.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's Bobby Pierce.
- 8:01SPEAKER_02: I mean, nothing.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, not too long ago he won at Makokata, which is which was like an hour up the road from where I used to live, and he broke the World Outlaws win record in a year.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll say and then he's and then he's got over twenty now, so and he's continuing to be the point leader in the outlaw standings.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:21SPEAKER_02: I think it's almost like a hundred point gap at this point.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: There's something.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: It's it's Bobby Pierce.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's gonna go out and dominate no matter where he goes, whether it's Eldor or Makokoda or uh Volusha or Bimbo Bob's random dirt track in Alaska or something.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: He will go out and show up and win, or if not win, he'll run really good.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: So Yeah.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but uh is that all you got?
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: Yep, that's really all I got.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say we'll have more next week on the show when we're recapping the World 100, but switching uh to Car Store now.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: The car store they were at Florence Motors Wheel in South Carolina for the cookout 225, not too far from Darlington Raceway on the same weekend.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: NASCAR is in town.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: More on them later.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: But the pro late model feature, it saw a lot of cautions for only being high laps.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: There was a big stack up immediately on the drop of the green flag.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Case James suffered a lot of damage, initially got back on track, didn't lose a lap, but he pulled in out of the race after 16 laps.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: But competition caution on lap 45.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Daniel Hart Jr.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: making his pro late model debut.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Uh was up to fourth at the time, got to second at the end.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Very impressive by Dale Jr., especially since we don't see him race all that much.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Then we had a big crash with two lap down cars as Jeff Batten and Dusty Garris crash on the front stretch of 47 to go.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: But Caden Honeycutt got to the lead shortly after that, getting by Trayton Latvich, the pole sitter.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Um Dale Jr., I th I thought he was gonna I thought he had a chance to run down Honeycutt for a bit as he got up to second with 36 to go, but Honeycutt, he kind of just stabilized his lead about two seconds and just ran away with it after that.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: Caden Honeycutt his fourth pro late model win of the year, his ninth career win over uh Dale Jr.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: very impressive second in his pro-late model debut, like we mentioned.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Uh Lapovich third from the poll, collected the$10,000 Flow Didium bonus.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Uh Mesa Wallers still leads the pro-late model standings by nine points after a seventh place finish.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Honeycutt on a part-time schedule happens to still be fifth in the standings 30 points back, which I find pretty funny.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: But I mean that's pretty impressive.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Definitely like I haven't I haven't tuned into a ton of cars to a recent thing.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Me neither.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: But it seems like the one I have the ones I have heard of and the ones I have been watching, it's always been Honeycutt's always been somewhere near the front or at least fighting with it.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: It seems like other like it seems like that's essentially Honeycutt's yeah.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Like if he wrote a time here, that'll be it'll be a tough tough match to beat.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely a shout to Dale Jr.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: too for running second after all that time.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: I think we're gonna see him at uh he said he's he's looking at Newport being his Yeah, he's yeah, he's gonna try and race at Newport in the late model stock on I think it's October third.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: So it was definitely impressive finishing second in his debut for a pro late model.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: I mean he was really fast though too in like all the practice sessions.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: He was like, he was really fast on the practice session.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: He was like top five in all of 'em.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think he led a couple, I think.
- 11:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know he was fastest in one of them, and then he was like third in like two of them.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was pretty good in the practice sessions.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: And he was he qualified fifth and then just just picked them off one at a time and got to second.
- 11:37SPEAKER_02: Took his time.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: I mean that's what that's what you kind of gotta do with the prolate malls.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: You gotta take your your even asphalt late malls, you just gotta take your time.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: Let some guys get aggressive, they'll just take each other out.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: On the late model stock car side, uh, Carson Brown took the lead early on the outside before the caution came out.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Brandon Dean went off the track.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Cade Brown also with heavy damage, then more contact on the restart, caution a couple laps later for Debris.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: This race, it was really uh versus uh Carson Brown and Caden Kwappa.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: They were battling with the lead, started around about 50 laps into the late model stock feature.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Uh Carson Brown, he reinherited the lead as Caden Kwapel initially passed him, but then uh the caution came out, so they gave it back to Carson Brown, and then Kwapel went by right on the restart.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Uh Lannon S.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Huffman, he had such a tired advantage early in the race, went all the way from 20th to 7th, and then had some contact with Keelan Harvick while trying to pass for sixth.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: About wrecked there, and then there was a wreck with 17 to go in the top 10.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Parker Eatman and Connor Jones had some contact, and then Lannon S.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Huffman about ended up in the gr in the grass, completely off the track on the backstretch, trying to take it three wide on the top for second, but that brought up the last caution, and Caden Quappel uh just drove away to extend his late model stock.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Uh points lead.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Caden Quaple won the late model stock features.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Third win of the year, first car store win, though, since winning at the Nashville Fairgrounds in April, which me and my girlfriend Haley were happened to be in person for.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: I remember that.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: That was a great race.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Now the Nashville Fairgrounds, man, I I really hope they don't get rid of it.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Kind of a side note, I hope they don't get rid of it.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: It's a great place.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I definitely feel like that's a place that NASCAR like even the NASCAR at the higher level.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: I know they've talked about it so many times.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: I hope they at least give it a shot, even if it is just a lower series race.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: Speaking of the lower series, I definitely like I definitely think Caden Quattle I hope he I hope he gets very soon, because I think it'd be amazing to see he and brother Carson battling up there.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: And also Carson Brown, too.
- 13:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: We already know he's going up to RCR to drive O'Reilly next year, so I think that'll be fun to watch, even just those two.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Honestly, you could give, or at least I feel like you could give Caden Kwopel that uh a race or two in that Ram 25 free agent truck.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I think it's worth it.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: I can definitely see that being a good idea too.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: But uh however, Quapple, he did win the Hampton Heat 200 at Landlee Speedway in Virginia back on July 25th, which is the second leg of the Virginia Triple Crown.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Kwaple leads those standings also with a 3.5 average finish with only uh Martinsville on September 26th left, and he leads the late model stock car standings now by 40 points, which is three uh car store races left.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Carson Brown ends up second, Cody Kelly in third.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Connor Zilich ends up sixth in his return to car store action.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: That was pretty impressive in my opinion.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Even though he had some contact early in the race, but other than that, kept it clean.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: I definitely too like I definitely too want to give a shout out to Doug Barnes Jr.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: Coming back for this is his first race back coming back from that nasty accident at North Wilkesboro.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he came back from a concussion.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: I saw that, yeah.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: Still finished eighth after all that and first time back, so good shout-out to him.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: That well that was pretty impressive.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: And Shane Van Gisburg came from 24th up to 13th in his card store debut.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, you want to talk about a quiet evening.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't think they mentioned SVG once on the broadcast, and he just kept the minus one by one.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I kind of thought they mentioned him once.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: But huh.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: And uh Brandon Queen finished fourth, he got the ten thousand dollar floored in bonus in late model stock, but uh on to high limit, high limit sprint cars.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: They battled at Skaggit Speedway and Water, which three nights to close out the West Coast swing and battling for the richest payday of the year, 126,000 to win on Saturday night.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: We'll start with Thursday.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: Trey Starks had an 11.473 second lap, which was fastest in hot laps.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Uh Geo Celsi only was 11th.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Brett Marks got quick time with an 11.448 second lap.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Rico was sixth, Gio seventh, Reitzel was 11th, but Marks spun on the backstretch battling for fifth, which absolutely screwed him at getting to the A-main.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Really kind of screwed him for his whole weekend, honestly.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, Marx is he's been kind of up and down ever since um Chase Bresco acquired his team uh during the Knoxville Nationals week.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Hasn't gotten a win yet, though, under the new operation, which is kind of surprising.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: He's been close though.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Um Tanner Holmes, he dominated Heat 1.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Marks only got back to eighth, so he got sent to the B-mane despite him being the fastest qualifier.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Justin Peck dominates Heat 2, Rico in fourth, Terry Madsen won Heat 3, Wrightzel got all the way to second.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Gio Selzi also failed to transfer to the A-Mane on Thursday, finishing sixth.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Uh his brother Dominic Selze, who was filling in for Brendan Crouch, who was uh injured in that wreck with Geo at Knoxville last month, he ended up fourth in the heat.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Justin Sanders won Heat 4, Marks won the B-Mane, Selzi finished fourth, he barely got into the A-man coming to the white flag.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Uh Tyler Courtney on the pole after an eight-car invert for the A-Mane.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Max Metry had a radio problem.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Luckily, that wasn't uh too much of an issue, but Tanner Thorsten he took the lead early, and then there was a big wreck off of turn four.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Somehow Geo Selzi made his way through it.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: I guess it was kind of an advantage to barely get into the A-man because he somehow got through that wreck.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was caught up in wrecks on the first two nights of the Gold Cup.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: So it was a good thing he dodged that wreck there, because he's been in way too many wrecks on the West Coast swing so far, or not so far, because West Coast Swing is done now.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Levi Clatt went upside down.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Uh second through fifth for much of this race was basically underneath the blanket, but Tanner Thorson ran away with it, leaning all 30 laps and a 29 race winless streak dating back to March 27th at Route 66 raceway in Texas with just with his third win on the year, fifth career high limit win, first win for his new team, JST Motorsports, on the opening night of the Skagit Nationals.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Rightzel was second, Rico was third, Geo still only ended up 17th, despite avoiding that big break.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Dayson Persley was the hard charger.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: He managed to come all the way from 23rd to 9th, but Geo couldn't do anything, so not great.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Um Thorston and Reitzel were tied at 385 points heading into night two, the top four in points after Friday would lock into Saturday's championship A main.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: But Friday it was kind of more of the same.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Uh Max Metry now had the fastest in hot laps with 11.58 second hot lap.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Courtney was second, rightzel was fourth, Gio and Rico outside the top ten.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Tanner Holmes had quick time with an 11.513 second lap.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: Um Geo at least made the dang A-Mane through his heat, finished fourth in heat three, but Reitzel and Rico were first and second in heat four.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: Tanner Holm on the B-main.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Max Ventri was on the pole for the A-Mane.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Rico started second, Gio fifth, right all the way down in 18th, but that didn't matter because he was the hard charger all the way up to fifth at the end of the night.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Trey Starks battled with Rico all throughout the A-Mane, even through a couple of cautions.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: But Trey Starks, he won$26,000 on the Race Redeemed Foundation night for his third career high limit win on his home turf.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Uh the race redeemed foundation night was rescheduled from back in June at Big Sky Speedway, Montana.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: Rico ended up second, uh Tanner Holmes third, Sunshine fourth, Rights held fifth, as we mentioned, was the hard charger.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Gio only 11th after Tanner Thorson dumped him in turn two running fourth.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Because Gio did a 360 and it still kept the race screen, but like, ugh, but that believe me, that was not the most controversial wreck.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Still national week.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: What still dirty though?
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: That's kind of oh yeah, it was definitely it was really dirty.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: I remember seeing the replay of it.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: It was awful.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: But it gets worse, but Trey Starks, Riker Aber, Tanner Thorsten, and Tanner Holmes, they were the four locked in the Saturday night's finale.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Everybody else was in qualifiers.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Uh Rightall, Courtney Sanders, and Peck won the four qualifiers.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Gio was second in qualifier three, Persley won the B-main, but then uh Thorsten was on the pole after spinning the wheel for the A-Mane.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: He led early, he led the first 14 laps.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Rico took the lead on lap 15, Thorsen took the lead back on lap 21, and Rico took it back for good on lap 26.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: So the front page headlines certainly read that, yeah, Riker Avery picked up$126,000 for the third year in a row at Skagget with his sixth high limit win there in nine tries, which is just incredible.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Got a two-thirds winning percentage at the damn place.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Scored a seventh win of the year in his 32nd career win as the West Coast swing is now over.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: But the big talking point was the lap 31 contact between Trey Starks and Aaron Reitzel.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Starks, he came off a turn two, and Reitzel hits him in the back, and Starks proceeded to flip wildly into the turn three catch fence, which caused a 30-minute track repair.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Thankfully, Starks was okay, but it that doesn't mean he was happy.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: He was pissed.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: I remember seeing that interview.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: He was oh throw hands.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I kind of thought he was gonna throw hands, to be honest.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: I really thought he was going to, but he didn't.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Content.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: Love the drama.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: Uh Rico still leads as he's chasing a second straight high limit title now by 46 points of rights and by 147 over Celsius.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Gio has fallen off a cliff ever since the West Coast swing basically started, pretty much.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Rico also collected his fourth payday over$100,000.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: He's now just the eighth ever to achieve that mark.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: But High Limit heads back east to Port Royal Speedway in Pennsylvania this weekend for the 59th annual Tuscaro 50th.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: The championship is widening down.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: But the last time we were at Port Royal, back on July twenty sixth, Geo Celzy picked up a hundred thousand dollars for winning the Bob Wiker Memorial, which currently serves at the moment as his only high limit win on the season.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: So we'll see what happens.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: But one dude paid the what
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: He's not winless.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: True, yeah, yeah.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: But then again, Rico has seven wins and Reichel has ten.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: So I mean, but he's stoking the championship away.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I mean he's been kind of third in the championship for much of the whole year, and I mean he he was at one point, I believe, like around 35 points out, and now he kind of lost like a hundred points over the West Coast swing, but yeah.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: To be fair, this is Spire's first year with a high limit team, so to be this close to the championship is still pretty impressive.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: When I say choke in the championship way, I mean like Reitzel, because Oh yeah.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: He's got a lot.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Reitzel had a disastrous gold cup, finished outside the top ten uh four straight nights, but then he won at Douglas County on the Monday before Skagget, and then he ran good at Skagit.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: The problem is Rico ran better every night and collected the big payday and extended his points lead.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: So but Rico and Reitzel, they're definitely right there, but Gio's got some work to do if he wants any chance at winning the championship.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Because there's only about there's only about, I think, twelve or thirteen events left the whole year.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Uh one big payday to another, we move on now.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: The uh Cornwall Quality Tools, NATra, U.S.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Nationals, Indianapolis, the greatest drag race on earth, always leads to drama as the final race of the regular season.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: 45 nitro cars can have to qualify across funny car and top field, which even for indie, 45 nitro cars is a lot.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: 45 nitro cars is a lot when you only have uh 16 car fields that end up qualifying.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: But both it was a shot to win.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: But both Dave Richards and Funny Car and 10 time U.S.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Nationals, top field winner, Tony Schumacher, both failed to qualify, which was definitely a surprise.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: But in the final mission, two fast two tasty challenges of the season, it was Leah Pruitt and Topfield, Austin Proc and Funny Car, Cody Anderson and Pro Stock, and Gage Run Pro Stock Motorcycle claiming the wins with Doug Coletta, uh, Proc, Greg Anderson, and Herrera claiming the championships in the specialty series.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: And speaking of specialty races, Jack Beckman took his fifth win in the Funny Car Call-out on Sunday as well, defeating Matt Higgin in the final round.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Won't be the last time that we mention that.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Whose background noise is that?
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Is that a fan?
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: Might be my Xbox's cooling fan.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, that makes sense.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Well, I'll just edit that out.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: But Funny Car's brutal regular season title fight where the top four points were separated by 30 points, came to a head with eliminations on Monday.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: J.R.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Tow was knocked out in round one, losing to Jordan Vandegriff on a whole shot after they ran identical 3.908 elapsed times.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: But then Vandegriff lost to Proc in round two as the two-time defending U.S.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Nationals.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Funny car champ beat his old ride to advance to the semis.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Proc was absolutely awful through the first about five races of the year, but then at Chicago, he made it to the semifinals and then he won at Maryland.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: And ever since then, he's definitely turned the season around.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: But it didn't start good.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: He DQ'd at the season opener at Gainesville.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: But I mean, now we're heading into the countdown, the points reset, so Proc definitely has a chance to get his third straight funny card title, even though he's not with John Force Racing anymore.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: He's now with Tasca and Ford.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Ugh, Ford.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Um, but on the other side, both Ron Caps and Matt Hagen advanced to the first two rounds, and that set up a face-off with each other for the$150,000 regular season championship.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: In the top field semis, it was Sean Langdon beating Leah Perud who smoked the tires immediately.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: But then Tony Stewart, aka Leah's husband, beat Langdon's teammate, Coletta, who also smoked the tires immediately as well.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: But Coletta still ended up winning the$150,000 regular season championship.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: Hagan beat Caps for the Funny Car regular season championship and that$150 grand.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Then Proc with tires smoke immediately.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: So Beckman uh would face Hagen for the Funny Car U.S Nationals win.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: The right lane was absolutely awful.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it is.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: The right lane in the semifinals and the finals at the U.S.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: Nationals seems to be every year is awful.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Like nobody has traction on it.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: Uh Dallas clan in the final round in Pro Stock beating Erica Enders.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Same issue, lost traction in the right lane.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, the only there was eight matchups across the semifinals in the four main um classes, and only one of those matchups actually saw somebody from the right lane pull off a win, and that was Jed Kaufman Jr.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: beating Matt Hartford from that right lane to advance to the finals after winning his first two rounds on whole shots, which is just wild, but that's the most average Jed Kaufman Jr.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: thing ever.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: Richard Gatson clips the pro stock regular season title after his win in round two before losing to Matt Smith in the semifinals.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Then Matt's wife, Angie Smith, beat two-time defending U.S.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: Nationals pro stock motorcycle winner Gage Rare to go to the finals as well.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: So Gadson's teammate also lost.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: But in an interview live with the Mandy Busick and Maddie Gordon, what I found interesting is Jordan Vandergriff, he had he had kind of a sleeve on his arm and they they called him out on live television because they had the broadcast live on Fox and he said he might have a possible ligament issue, but I don't think it'll be that much of an issue going forward.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, like it kind of makes sense with ligament issues because funny cars just the the such short wheelbase that you have, it just it's so hard to control.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: I mean top fuel, it's like it's almost like a rocket because of how long they are, and then funny car, it's almost like a bucking bronco.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: It's like two complete, they're just as fast as one another, but they're wildly different in terms of control.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: But I don't think it'll be that much of an issue, but we'll see.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: In the final rounds, uh Matt Smith ran down wife Angie for the U.S.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Nationals winning pro stock motorcycles, the number one qualifier with a 6.791 at 198.58 miles per hour for his third win of the year, 45th career winning fourth U.S.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Nationals, winning his first full race, full race weekend back since his win at Chicago on May 17th due to Gallstone surgery.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: He did also run the Pro Stock Motorcycle call in July at Sonoma.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: So good timing is Matt Chase's what would be a record seventh pro stock motorcycle world championship.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: In pro stock, Dallas Glenn beat Jed Coughlin Jr.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: with a 6.599 at 207.56 miles per hour to claim his first U.S.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: Nationals title, fourth win of the year, 25th career win, and in the process, clinched the regular season championship by just five points over teammate Greg Anderson, who was upset in round two by Coughlin.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Jack Beckman and Funny Car won the U.S.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: Nationals over Hagen with the 3.965 at 327.35 miles per hour for his second win of the year, third career U.S.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Nationals win and 39th career win to wind up third in points heading into the countdown after entering indie just fifth in points and retires the Flame car undefeated at 2-0.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: It was a throwback to John Forrest's car from the 1996 NHRA finals, and it won then too.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: So retires the scheme 2-0.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Technically 3-0, if you want to count the um funny car call out, but you know, it's whatever.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: And in top field, Sean Langdon dominates as the number one qualifier to win the U.S.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Nationals in top field with a 3.804 at 333.99 miles per hour for his fifth win of the year, but first since Maryland back on May 31st, third U.S.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Nationals winning top field, 27th for a win.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: So at first it was looking like Doug Coletta was gonna run away with his third top field world championship in four years because he had won the pre- the three previous races leading up to Indy at Sonoma, Seattle, and Brainerd, but Langdon's just like, hey, I'm still here, you know.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: So he's he's back for sure.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: But the Enatray countdown of the championship playoffs begins about a week and a half with the inaugural Dodge Enatre Great Lakes Nationals presented by Mopar, which takes place September 18th to the 20th at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: But while Enitray is gearing up for the countdown, aka their playoffs, IndyCar's done for the year.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: IndyCar wrapped up their season with the Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey at Laguna Sega in California, the 18th and final race of the year.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: But I'll be honest, out of all the racing this weekend, this one was the most forgettable by a country mile.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know about y'all, but it was really forgettable.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely in my opinion, not the most memorable race looking at it in terms of like especially with races like 8500 happening this year and multiple different entertainment races, this one was not really necessarily like that.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: I mean we had we had three new street courses or three new tracks which were all street courses coming into this year.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: We had Arlington and then we had Markham just outside of Toronto, and then we had uh DC and people like to complain that the road and street courses they're like, ooh, they're so boring, and it's like I feel like it's more of a road course thing, not a street course thing, because the street courses because they're well street courses, they're so tight and condensed, and because indie cars are so nimble and fast yet hard to handle, it's like one little mistake on a street course you hit the wall and you're done.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: Versus a road course, it's just like oh, you just you just hit the runoff and you'll be fine.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Like at least with NASCAR, it's like on road courses, it's like they're big and bulky, like they're not really meant to go around road courses, but that almost makes it entertaining, if that makes sense.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: So, but there were definitely some different pit strategies early in the race, most notably Alex Pelow pitted four times during this race.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Don't know why he did that.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: The soft tire was not really working throughout this race, and he only ended up finishing eighth, but he had locked up his fifth championship and fourth straight title last weekend in Milwaukee, anyways.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: This was uh the Scott McLaughlin show.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: He led from the pole over Pelow, who started second, dominated this race for the win.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: McLaughlin with a dominant winning leading 87 of the 95 laps.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: The only time he didn't lead was pit cycles.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: That was it.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: It was his first win since the second Milwaukee race in 2024, 36 races ago, his first win in Laguna Sega, eighth for a win.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Kyle Kirkwood ends up second, which secures him second in the final point standings by just 10 points over Christian Lingard.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: Alexander Rossi third for his first podium since Laguna Sega in June of 2024.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: Felix Rosenquist fourth in his final race with Meyer Sank Racing before moving to McLaren next year, despite winning the Indy 500 this year, which was definitely surprising.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: I was surprised when he was announced that he was gonna move to McLaren.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: It's like you just won the Indy 500, like what are we doing?
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: So and the guy that finished second to Rosenquist to Indy back in May, and the closest Indy 500 finish ever, Dave Malucas finished in fifth to complete his first full season with Team Penske.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: IndyCar returns next year to kick off the 2027 season once again on the streets of St.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Petersburg, Florida, and once again we'll have the NASCAR Truck Series also joined them the week of March 7th.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: To be honest, uh probably by the time we roll in that first week of March in St.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: Pete, it's gonna be the NASCAR FedEx Truck Series, and I'm not gonna be used to that.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: It's like I got used to Craftsman.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: It's like Craftsman's what it used to be when the truck series was first founded in 1995.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: It's like I just got used to Craftsman, and that's like why.
- 33:28SPEAKER_02: I just got used to it again after being camping world for so long.
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and like e yeah, like I know I grew up and started watching trucks when it was camping.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was mostly camping world for me, and then like it was like Gander RV and outdoors for like a year or two, and then they went back to camping world for like a year and then they did Craftsman again.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: It's like they keep flipping it all around, but choose one and stay with it.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: I mean that's gonna have one of those sponsors go up and sponsor the cup series eventually.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: I mean then again O'Reilly's, I guess to be fair, they seem to have a new sponsor every decade, it seemed like.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: Because Xfendi was the sponsor for about a decade and nationwide, I don't I don't even think they were no, they were they were like oh eight to twelve.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: They lasted like five years and then before that it was the Bush series.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Nationwide was like till twenty fourteen or something like that.
- 34:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, nationwide.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, it was twenty fourteen because Xfendi was twenty fifteen to yeah up to this year when it was a rallies.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: Um anyways, uh final picks and final standings for IndyCar.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Of course, I clinched the championship after DC.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Officially, I scored six hundred and ninety-nine points.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: Trust me, I am definitely annoyed that I scored six hundred and ninety-nine points.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: I wanted to score seven hundred, trust me.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: Uh Evan scored 501 points, so officially, technically, I win the championship by 198, but yeah, I mean he ate off like a bunch of that gap over those four three or four races that I had the championship clinched.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Stacy uh ends up 245 back.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: Haley ends up 301 back.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Ethan, my goodness, you ended up fifth in the indie car standings despite running 11 races.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, to be fresh around, man.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: Give me a full season, I'll be out there.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm gonna say I I did the math, and if you had a full season in the indie car, you would have been second in points.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm gonna say, you you know you did good as a part-timer when you beat out other full timers.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: That's how you know you did good.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: So Noah ended up 398 back, Bernardo ended up 422 back, and then uh Zane, uh, you were last.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: But to be honest, uh I'm not surprised.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we're we're all not surprised to be honest.
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: Because I don't watch Indy Carr.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: You need to watch Indy Car.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: Is it boring sometimes?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Can it be good sometimes?
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: Just don't watch it.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: Watch the first Oval next year.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: Just don't watch any don't watch any of the road courses.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: You'll be right back.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: Just watch just just watch uh watch St.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: Pete with the truck series since they're racing that week and watch Phoenix.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Watch Arlington too.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Arling Arlington was really good actually.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Arlington was really good.
- 36:11SPEAKER_01: It was, it actually was.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that super long, mile-long backstretch was great.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: I did watch two indie car races this year.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: I did watch Phoenix, and then I did watch the Indy 500.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Phoenix was good for their first return back.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: It was 2018, yeah.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was really good actually.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when indie cars turn right, it's not that bad.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: Mostly the street courses.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when indie cars turn right, mostly on the road courses, it's not that good.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: I sit through it, so um, yeah.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: I hope hopefully with the new IndyCar 2028 chassis, they actually improve the road course and street course package.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Hopefully.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Fingers crossed.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: We we can only hope, I guess.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: We're just add slap more ovals on the schedule.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, should put more more ovals.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: More ovals.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe if they did more ovals, I'd watch it.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Just alright, just uh what whatever you do, IndyCard, do not go back to Las Vegas.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: Don't do that.
- 37:14SPEAKER_02: No, yeah, no, no, no.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: Honestly, well, here's the thing.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: That's kind of why they dropped a bunch of ovals off their schedule in general, was after that whole debacle, because like Chicagoland and Kansas and uh a lot of those other oval tracks that they had left after 2011, and then it was kind of just Texas off and on for a bit, and then they quit going to Texas like about five years ago.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, even like a few years after the whole welded situation in Vegas, there was like twenty the twenty fifteen auto club race.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: That was I'll say it like that I'll say it like that race was amazing, but it's like one of those things it's like that was amazing, please never do it again.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: So like the yeah.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: The two in my opinion, the two the two big turning points that killed um the bulk of the indie car schedule having ovals or like just more ovals than they have now.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: One of them was Vegas 2011, and one of them was really just every race at Pocono in the late 2010s.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: Mostly 2015 and 2018, if you know you know.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: Do I think indie cars should have more ovals?
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: Should they be more careful?
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: Should they have had should they should they have had 33 cars at Las Vegas in 2011?
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: So but I do like how the fact that they have the fields limited to 25 cars to every race except Indy now.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: I do like that.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: So yeah, but I picked Alex Plot and go ahead.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: Oh, I mean Indy f indie makes sense though why it's l not limited because it's well yeah, Indy's tradition, yeah.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's their biggest race on the schedule.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: If you screw with Indy, you're just gonna have just a massive drop in fans.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, you're gonna get a lot of hate.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have a massive drop in fans just like the 1996 split.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, even like even my friends that like they don't they don't follow motorsport at all.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: They know what the eighty five hundred is.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: It's a it's a big cultural race.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: I mean it's it's like NASCAR with the Daytona five hundred.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: You know, and even outside of motorsports, it's like football with the Super Bowl and uh other football with the World Cup and yeah.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: NHL with the Stanley Cup.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: But I picked Pelo at Laguna Sega, ended up eighth.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: I do not know why he pitted four times.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: That makes no sense.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know why he did that.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: It's like I get that the soft tires weren't working, but it's like, why did you pit four times?
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: That's like, did you really think you were gonna do any better than that?
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: But I think he was just on a Sunday drive, but instead of a Sunday drive like what uh the win with me when I picked him at Barber when he won and led like 90% of the race, it was a Sunday drive just like ah I closed the championship.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Alright, let's just get this over with.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: So Evan picked Scott McLaughlin who had a a Sunday drive of his own, as in a Sunday drive as in winning and crushing everybody, letting 87 laps from the pole, obviously leading the most laps.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: Haley with willpower ended up 13th.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Stacy with Alexander Rossi ended up third, led a few of those laps that McLaughlin didn't lead.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: I'm surprised it took Rossi this long to get another podium.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: It took him over two years, and it ended up being at Laguna Sega again.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: So ECR had an absolutely awful year.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: Um you had the win with Christian Ratchet Milwaukee last year, and it's like we all thought ECR was gonna be on the up and up, and then they were just awful this year.
- 40:56SPEAKER_01: I know Rasmussen was my pick for one of the Milwaukee races.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean he was good.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: Like he's just not what he was.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but like just over the course of the whole season, ECR was not near they didn't have as many flashes of brilliance as they did last year, not even close.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: Uh Noah with Kiffin Simpson ended up tenth, solid run there.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: It's funny because that was only his fourth top ten the entire year.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Ethan, you had Christian Lungard ended up sixth.
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: I kind of thought he would contend more, but then again, I also did not expect uh Scott McLaughlin to just run away with it.
- 41:33SPEAKER_01: I do think a run like that from McLaughlin has been overdue, but I'm Oh yeah, for sure.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: I wasn't expecting him to like whoop the field that badly.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: Well, because he th because you think about it, it was definitely overdue because he hadn't McLaughlin hadn't won in two years, and Newgarden had, I believe, two wins this year at Phoenix and Gateway, and Meluchas, while he didn't win, he had like a gajillion second place finishes, including by this much at Indy in 8500, so it was definitely overdue.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: I mean McLaughlin pretty much ran like 10th all year long, and so it's good for him to finally get a win.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Speaking of New Garden, Zane, you picked him, finished 15th, just the most pedestrian run of all time, but hey, you actually like picked him instead of uh telling me to spin the wheel, so congratulations.
- 42:29SPEAKER_02: Yay.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:33SPEAKER_02: Didn't didn't Pottle Award sweep both uh Milwaukee races?
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he did swept both Milwaukee races.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he did.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: It was the first time well actually because uh because the first well because the quote unquote first race didn't finish until after the second race had been done on Sunday, technically Award won both races in the same day, which is the first time that happened since 1981.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: Which was just wild.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: Uh anyways, uh I want to talk about Darlington now.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: We'll start with O'Reilly's Justin Algar started second as the number one scene in the chase, but that did not matter to him.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: He jumped out to a two and a half second lead within the first 15 laps.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: It's like as soon as I blinked, it's like, Hello?
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Two and a half second leader?
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Sounds like all guy.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: What Nos do you have in your car?
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, we know Algayer is fast, but like it this isn't this isn't nothing like micro wall trip 2007 Daytona 500 rocket fuel found in this car.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: It's not like that.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: But uh speaking of fuel, uh Roger Cruz had a fuel pressure issue from ninth pitted and rejoined two laps down, which wasn't great.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: He eventually got those two laps back, um, and then immediately, uh well not immediately, but at the end of the race, had the same fuel pressure issue again that left him twenty six two laps down, which was just tragic.
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: It's like, yes, fuel pressure.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Bad.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: Fixed it.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Somehow got the laps back.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: More field pressure issue.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: Not good.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: I think is yeah.
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: That first win for Caruth, I think, is definitely coming sooner than later.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: Like I guess I'm saying, like, if we don't see it in the chase this year, he is like 100% gonna get a win next year in the Orioles series.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: He'll get it next year.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, um, it's interesting because both Kwople and Caruth over the summer uh was playing musical chairs, going from you know, ride to ride, you know, Kwaple would be in the 91 and then the one and then the nine and then Caruth was in the eighty-eight and then the thirty-two, you know.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: That's because uh Hendrick and uh Junior Sports and just other cup guys, and yeah.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: But Kwaple managed to deal with that, and as soon as he got back in the one car, he won it Indy and Iowa, so I'm curious if Caruth can do the same thing.
- 45:02SPEAKER_02: And we all remember it correctly with Indy.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: Alright, yeah.
- 45:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we all remember the standings in a second here.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: We'll get to the standings in a minute.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Be patient.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: Be patient.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: I'll know I don't have that.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we we both know that.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Uh Augar won stage one, Brandon Jones, man.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: I I oof he went from the lead and went down to 17th on older tires in less than 10 laps.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: When when are when is everybody gonna learn that like you shouldn't really stay out on older tires because you're not gonna last that long.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: Unless your name is Kyle Larson.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: But that's that's a unique case, and we'll get to him in a few minutes, although he didn't win either.
- 45:44SPEAKER_02: That's Toyota for you.
- 45:46SPEAKER_00: Uh excuse me, Kyle Larson is not a Toyota unless you're referring to Brandon Jones.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, I was gonna say, I'm like, are you tripping over here?
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh stage two started Augur and Carson Kwapel, they battled for the lead.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Jones and Corey Day were trying to drive forward on new tires, then Daniel I got wrecked by Dean Thompson on the front stretch.
- 46:06SPEAKER_00: Anthony Alfredo took it three wide on the restart.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: Uh Kwapel goes to the lead, and then Corey Day went back to early season form with causing vehicular terrorism, took out William Swalich.
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, he literally he banged on his door like four times, and then he still took him out.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know what that was.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, something.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, I was kind of surprised when Corey Day uh wasn't tapped to replace Bowman uh in 28 after Bowman retires at the end of the next year, but at the same time, maybe Zilich had a falling out with trackhouse, and at the same time, maybe they just didn't want Carson Hose for our 2.0 at Hendrik Murder Sports.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: But Caruth, uh, with those cautions, that's when he got back on the lead lap, and then Jeb Burton spun, they're crashing in the back, and then Alfredo actually ended up winning stage two.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: It was only his second career stage win.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: Anthony Alfredo almost could have been Anthony Alfredo legacy race.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, there was a point where Anthony Alfredo could have won this race.
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: Not quite, but he didn't, but great run by Anthony Alfredo.
- 47:17SPEAKER_01: He was still a really impressive run from him.
- 47:19SPEAKER_01: Like you don't know if he runs out of it.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: Like, I still think Alfredo, like I'm I'm still a believer he gets the right of wood that he can contest.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, Viking Motorsports has been really good lately because Parker Retzlaff, he even he made the chase.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: I think he finished like 14th, I believe.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: But I mean, Viking Motorsports is definitely on the up and up, so yeah, kind of sneaky entry this year.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Um another wreck in stage three, but the big turning point, Sheldon Creed uh took the lead off of pit road.
- 47:55SPEAKER_00: Then Justin Algayer ended up into the wall from fourth, started to struggle with his car, ended up plummeting.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Uh Corey Day somehow, despite the multiple incidents he was involved in, uh started to close in for the lead.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know where he came from.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: Like, did like did they just have flex tape in the pit area?
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: Like I don't know how they managed to fix his car or something.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: But uh Caruth then had his other fuel pickup issue, ended up 26th at the finish, two laps down.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: So that that's not good in the chase standings.
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: That not not good.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: But really sucks.
- 48:29SPEAKER_02: It really sucks though too because it happened within the 10 to go.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: It's like they thought they fixed it after having it happening in stage one, and then it just came right back at the worst time to bite him.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: But Sheldon Creed, the three seed, wins the chase opener at Darlington to win a second career race after Echo Park, aka Atlanta back in February.
- 48:50SPEAKER_00: I did not see Sheldon Creed winning this race at all.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: I'm like, where did he come from?
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: It's like, hello?
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: Having a miracle season.
- 48:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't see I don't see Creed as I don't see Creed as the favorite to win the championship, but I definitely do feel like he's kind of an under-the-radar people that people Creed's definitely Creed, I think we definitely have to treat Creed as definitely a dark horse now, because it's like we all thought he was never gonna win a race, and then he won a race, and it's like okay, and he was just kind of consistent after that, and it's like, oh, okay, he can win again at Darlington, you know, like the toughest track on the schedule.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: And it's like, oh, now he's second in the chase stand, and he's only seven points behind Allguyer for the lead.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: He plummeted to 17th after the wall contact.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: And it's like, okay, alright.
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: Creed's definitely he's in contention.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: So Corey Day ended up second, despite uh, like we mentioned, looking in early season form where he's causing vehicular terrorism, like he's playing GTA 6 early.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: It's like he got an early copy of the game.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: Uh Brent Cruz, a solid third, despite missing the driver's chase, he's still in contention for the owner's chase.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: It seems like the trucks and the O'Reilly's, they always have really weird owner standings because you have like all the one-off runs from guys from Cup coming down the O'Reilly's, and so it jumbles all the points all around.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: Like Brent Cruz, he missed the four races because he wasn't 18 yet, which caused him to miss the driver's chase, but because somebody else filled in for him during those four races, that's how he made the owner's chase.
- 50:24SPEAKER_00: But Sammy Smith fourth, man.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: His best result since another fourth place run at Taladega all the way back in April.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, Sammy Smith is just can he do anything?
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: Being that he's gonna be out of a ride next year because he's not coming back to Junior Murder Sports.
- 50:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know.
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: And uh Austin Hill ended up fifth, but Gateway's next though.
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: Walconnor Zelich took the O'Reilly series win last year.
- 50:49SPEAKER_00: Zane, you showed us all the die cast from before we started recording.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: Um but I will say this Creed does have two truck series wins and an Arca win at Gateway.
- 51:01SPEAKER_00: So that's something to watch.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: Could Creed go two in a row?
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 51:05SPEAKER_00: Do I think it'll happen?
- 51:06SPEAKER_00: No.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: I mean, me and Ethan will be there though too, so that is true.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: So live on the spot reporting.
- 51:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well we'll get to see who wins it, really.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: Should have been should have been all three of us, but I am broke.
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: So I can't be there.
- 51:24SPEAKER_02: But no surprise.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, alright.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: New standings after O'Reilly's.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: I still lead by 48 over Stacy, 197 over Haley, 339 over Evan, 402 over Bernardo, 554 over Nora, 720 over Zayn, and 805 under over Ethan.
- 51:46SPEAKER_00: I'm curious if either one of you can run down Noah.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: I figured I knew at least Ethan was gonna run down Noah in IndyCar because of just the torrid pace that you were on in the 11 starts that you did.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure you finished top ten in like nine of them.
- 52:01SPEAKER_00: But I'm curious if you can uh run Noah down in any other series.
- 52:06SPEAKER_00: I I think you have a chance, but at the same time, we only got eight O'Reilly's races left, so we'll see.
- 52:11SPEAKER_01: I honestly think Zayn has a better shot to run down Noah in the O'Reilly series than I do.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: That is true.
- 52:17SPEAKER_00: You haven't you've had some really horrible luck in O'Reilly's.
- 52:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and like O'Reilly, like my picks have not been hitting as of recently.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: I think Zayn's got a better shot, at least in O'Reilly, than I do at this point.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was gonna say he's already got a win.
- 52:30SPEAKER_00: He's making that very obvious.
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but for O'Reilly's picks, I picked Brandon Jones.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: I salvaged a tenth, I led three laps, but I still lost points.
- 52:42SPEAKER_00: Uh Stacy gained on me, picked Austin Hilbert, ended up fifth.
- 52:45SPEAKER_00: Evan with Anthony Alfredo ended up sixth, won stage two.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: Haley with Sammy Smith ended up fourth, good run by her.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: Um Noah with Ryan Ellis, Dean Afton 37th.
- 52:58SPEAKER_00: That's what he gets for uh dealing with the random wheel.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: Honestly, um I haven't heard from him since I graduated pretty much.
- 53:07SPEAKER_00: So it's what it is.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Never heard of it.
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:11SPEAKER_00: Uh Ethan with Darcy Kwaple ended up 12th, had the pole, and had the fastest lap, ended up 12th.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: I know how Augar ended up down in 17th, which is who Zayn picked, led 60 last, which was the most, because Auger had the wall contact, but I don't understand how Quaple ended up 12th.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: I okay, I'm that's kind of a relief, honestly, because I thought I picked I re I have a bit I picked Sewalege earlier in a race, and I thought I picked him for you picked him at Iowa.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:39SPEAKER_01: So thank goodness I didn't for this one.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: Ironic ironically, I'm pretty sure that's your best O'Reilly's race that you've run this year because you finished third in that race.
- 53:48SPEAKER_01: That seems about right.
- 53:49SPEAKER_02: I was pretty disappointed in Algeyer.
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: I was kind of disappointed.
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: I thought he would run better.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, but he had the wall contact, and that kind of just took him out.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's not that Algeor was bad, he was good through the first two stages, and then the wall contact in stage three.
- 54:03SPEAKER_00: Sounds very similar to the other driver that's the number one seed in the chase that also ran at Darlington this weekend.
- 54:10SPEAKER_00: We'll talk about him in a minute.
- 54:11SPEAKER_00: On the cup side, Daniel Suarez, man, tried to hold the lead early after starting second to the qualifying being rained out, but Denny Hamlin eventually gets by for the league.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: Carson Hostbar 13 spots and just 18 laps.
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: Then after the competition caution came out on lap 35, Hospar spun.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Brad Kazlavski concludes stage one.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: Brad was not happy at all.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: Could we see payback?
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: Could Brad uh be pissed off?
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 54:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, if there's payback, me and Ethan will see it.
- 54:38SPEAKER_00: We go true, you're right, yeah.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: We already saw the chast, both of us, we already saw the Chastanea situation.
- 54:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, the freaking Elliot and Hamlin versus Castane.
- 54:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, that was that was Elliot Elliott and Hamlin turned into best friends just to beat up on Chastane.
- 54:55SPEAKER_01: It was a sequel, please.
- 54:57SPEAKER_02: And then Hamlin targeted him the whole rest of the race pretty much.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 55:02SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: That was funny.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, but Tyler Reddick got by Hamlin for the league, goes on to win stage one.
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: Uh you ended Zane, you ended up picking Reddick.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: You were trying to win three races in a row with three different drivers.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: Which the only time that that's happened in any series was uh I did it in IndyCar to start the year when I had Pelow at St.
- 55:23SPEAKER_00: Pete, Newgarden at Phoenix, and Kirkwood at Arlington.
- 55:28SPEAKER_00: But you came up short.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: You finished third, which is still really good.
- 55:32SPEAKER_00: It was still the best of all picks, but came up short.
- 55:35SPEAKER_00: Just a little bit short.
- 55:37SPEAKER_02: Still on a hot streak.
- 55:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I will give you that.
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: Take what you can get.
- 55:42SPEAKER_00: Take what you can get, pretty much, yeah.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: But Chase Briscoe led in the stage too before Christopher Bell took the lead late in the stage, goes on to win the stage.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: Briscoe then had his own fuel issue at the end of the stage of his own, pitted under a closed pit road, so he had to start the tail end.
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: Then Hamlin and Bell had their own slow pit stops, so three quarters of JGR screwed up at the end of stage two with something related to pit road.
- 56:07SPEAKER_00: That's normally 2311's job.
- 56:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know what they were doing there.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: But uh Kyle Larson led to start stage three.
- 56:15SPEAKER_00: He was trying to snap at the time a 50 race cup windless streak dating back to spring, Kansas of 2025.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: I was there at that race when I met him at the high limit race at Davenport back in June.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: I mentioned that to him.
- 56:26SPEAKER_00: Uh and it was kind of funny.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: But yeah, didn't end up winning.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: He was close.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: I will give him that, but couldn't quite get it done.
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: He still led with under 100 to go.
- 56:40SPEAKER_00: Then Zayn Smith got spun by Michael McDowell and Hamlin tried fixing his toe links under caution after McDowell.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: Oh hey, you're Zayn's showing the die cast.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: But after this was of course after McDowell uh put Hamlin into the wall and broke his toe link.
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, somebody's not happy about that.
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: Somebody may or may not have picked any Hamlin this race.
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: But to be honest, Ethan, I don't blame you.
- 57:04SPEAKER_00: I would be unhappy too.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I don't know what I don't know what Spire had it out for everybody because it's like Suarez was fine.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: He started on the front row and then plummeted outside the top 20, and then Hosovar and McDowell both caused multiple incidents today, so it's like, you know, Hamlin Hamlin definitely was not happy on his podcast, Action's Dead and Metal.
- 57:24SPEAKER_00: Uh he thought that there wasn't any adults that run that entire company, which is definitely some choice words to say.
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: But I understand.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: I understand it's not a good one.
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I it's not like I don't think Spire's not run by adults.
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: It's I feel like Spire needs to be more focused as a whole company, particularly Hosabar, which I'll talk more about that towards the end of the show.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: But somebody that likes Hostavar too.
- 57:56SPEAKER_00: Sure, yeah, whatever.
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: We'll go with that.
- 57:59SPEAKER_02: You do like Hosabar.
- 58:01SPEAKER_00: I do, but you know, I was a TrueX fan until he retired, and then I was just kind of neutral, and then I put my trust into Briscoe in the 19 car after he started running good, and then I liked Elliot, but that was just because I met my girlfriend, Haley, who lived, you know, near Dawsonville, obviously, and of course now I live down there.
- 58:21SPEAKER_00: Oh hey, the free birth scheme.
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: Kind of nice.
- 58:24SPEAKER_00: But and then I liked Hosvar, but that was only 'cause Haley saw him win.
- 58:28SPEAKER_00: Then it's like, okay, yeah, cool.
- 58:29SPEAKER_01: So Yeah, it's I mean like I d I like I liked Hosavar for a little bit 'cause like you can see all the Kyle Bush die casts on my desk, big fan of his.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: Um so definitely the one time I the one time I really was like yeah, a big fan was when he played Windman.
- 58:46SPEAKER_00: Don't get me wrong, I like Hosovar, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna criticize him.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: And it was kind of the same way with TrueX.
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, God, I remember the 2020 Southern 500.
- 58:55SPEAKER_00: That was awful.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: We don't talk about that.
- 58:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, gee, we definitely definitely don't talk about 2020.
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 59:03SPEAKER_00: Hey, don't talk about 2022 for me either.
- 59:06SPEAKER_02: Don't talk about don't talk about 2020, Darlington.
- 59:09SPEAKER_01: Bad memories.
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: Twenty twenty twenty, twenty twenty-two.
- 59:13SPEAKER_00: It was bad for all three of us.
- 59:16SPEAKER_00: But oh, yeah.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: This is some bad timing, cause uh William Yeah, cause uh we kind of forget that William Byron spun from ninth with about hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you make Zane, you're making me do more editing here dealing with your middle fingers over there.
- 59:34SPEAKER_00: But William Byron spun from ninth about 50 to go before under caution, his engine went kaboom, leaving him out of the race in 37th place, and now Byron said 16th last and the chase stinny's 114 points back.
- 59:47SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing, okay.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: You know, it wasn't Byron's fault.
- 59:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he spun, which wasn't really that good.
- 59:55SPEAKER_00: But which is weird though.
- 59:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, but we kind of didn't really get a great replay at first of how he spun, but my guess is probably just his tires degradated, but whatever, it happens to everybody.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_00: And then his engine failed, which it's like, eh, whatever.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_00: You can't really do can't really do much about exactly you can't really do much when your engine goes kaboom.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and in that spot you really can't put the blame on Byron.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_01: You can put the blame on him for the spin, but you can't put him on the blame on him for the engine.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_01: Like that's just unfortunate luck.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: And it's like if if there's any and if there's any track where it's the least amount of blame possible for a spin by yourself, it's dark engine because of how much tire wear you have.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_00: So but story of Byron's year, pretty much.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: He's yeah, I'm not surprised that's not season.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, season's been.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're right.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: Story of Hendrick's year, minus Elliot's two wins, but I can't believe we're nine races left.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: We're three quarters of the way through the year, and Hendrick has two wins, both of them from Elliot, back early in the year at Spring Martinsville and at Texas.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, we're we're on or Hendrick's on pace to break their low total for wins record, which was four, I believe, in nineteen.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, nineteen.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: Nineteen.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: Because Elliot had three wins and then yeah, and then Bowman had his first one at Chicagoland.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: And then Jimmy and Byron didn't win.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_02: So Byron came close a few times.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he did.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_00: Ender's come close a lot this year, but they just haven't gotten another win.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_02: Should have been Chicagoland for Byron for sure.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_00: But light rain then began to fall.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_00: Uh Bell Briscoe Larson were the top three with 44 to go.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: Then on the restart after the first little bit of rain, Briscoe took the lead from Bell before light rain came again with around 32 to go, then a short red flag for 30 to go because uh we can't ride around under caution uh like IndyCar did at Milwaukee the other week, where they ran 27 laps under caution for some reason before they red flagged the Dan race.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_00: At least NASCAR didn't do that.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_00: But after the second light rain, uh the big change of the race in my the real turning point, Larson, Austin Cendric, Joey Legana, Ryan Priest, they stayed out.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_00: Briscoe and Bell were the first two off pit row with new tires and then the final restart with 24 to go.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_00: Where Briscoe screwed up is where he took it three wide and then he dropped back and let Reddick, Gibbs, and Bell all pass him, who were all in the same, you know, just as good tires, which kind of screwed him.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_00: He eventually finished in sixth and a failed bid to become the second driver ever to win three straight Southern 500s.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: Jeff Gordon still has the record with four straight from nine 1995 to 1998.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_00: But Bell got Larson loose with 12 to go.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, just you can't blame Larson, you can't blame Bell.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, he just Bell put his car in the right spot and he did what he had to do.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_00: It wasn't dirty, it was a clean pass.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: He took advantage of the package, and yeah.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_00: And despite Larson leading a race high 99 laps, he faded to fifth at the end as he now sits at a 51 race winless streak.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_00: Bell then took the lead and finally ended his 33 race winless streak.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_00: Christopher Bell wins the 77th Southern 500 at Darlington for his first win at the Lady in Black, 14th for a win, and his first win since the Bristol night race last year, almost a whole season ago, but it's not like Bell wasn't trying as up to this point.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_00: He had seven runner-up finishes this year alone, which was tied for the most all time in a season behind only Harry Gantt, who had seven runner-up finishes in 1981.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_01: So Yeah, and in my opinion too, like um this had like I think we can all agree that this win has been coming for Christopher Bell for a long time.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: But I think the timing of it too, like really changes, I think, about how some people should look at him in the championship.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_01: Because he we already know he's been like ridiculously consistent all year.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_01: But I think really all he needed was a win.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_01: And so, like, say for example, like he timed it good too.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_01: If he wins next weekend at Gateway 2, I think we could definitely be witnessing the start of a potential championship run for Bell.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, Bell's definitely I mean I thought about having it as my dark horse pick, but like I just wasn't sure if he could finally get the win.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_00: Well, he chose a good time to finally get that first win, and if you think about it, I mean, the it's very it almost seems very reminiscent of like Denny Hamlin five years ago in 21, where his first win was at Darlington and the Southern 500.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_00: But Bell has been close at Gateway before.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_00: A couple years ago, he dominated that race until he had those engine issues and ended up seventh thanks to Truex pushing him to the finish.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_00: And uh of course he won the Bristol Knight race last year, so Bell could very easily pop off another couple wins and take the points lead and go on absolute tear.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, we've seen it before.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_00: Tony Stewart entered the 2011 chase with zero wins.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_00: He even said himself that he was thinking he was wasting a chase spot for somebody else more deserving.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_00: He ripped off five wins in the final ten races and beat Carl Edwards at homestead on a tiebreaker because he had five wins compared to Carl's one.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_00: So we've seen it before.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_00: Uh Ty Gibbs ended up second despite starting back in 28th.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_00: It's a reverse one-two finish of Gibbs beating Belt Iowa last month.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_00: Reddick third from the poll after qualifying was canceled, like we mentioned.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_00: Blaney fourth, starts parting twenty-fourth, and Larson fifth, leading 99 laps and leading with 12 to go, despite coming from 25th.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_00: Also, shout out Josh Barry.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_00: I you know what Josh Barry deserves.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_00: He deserves a round of applause.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_00: The Wood Brothers is relevant.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_00: It's a miracle.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_00: Finished seventh, which is a sixth top ten finish in a row.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_00: This is the first time the Wood Brothers have had that happen since David Pearson did it back in 1976, 50 years ago.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_00: And to be honest, this probably did save Barry's job as Barry was officially announced today to take over the 42th car at Legacy Motor Club next year.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: Placing John Hunter Imachek.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_00: You know what's ironic?
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_00: You remember last year when Barry got that win at Vegas in March, and we all kind of thought he was uh gonna be really good, and it's like he made you know, obviously at the time, you know, it was the playoffs, so he locked into the playoffs, and then he had like three straight DNFs and was eliminated immediately.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: Well now he's just ripping off top ten, so it's kinda ironic.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_00: Getting some redemption from he is getting re he's on his redemption arc, absolutely.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_01: And I definitely think like that's a that's a pain for fans of the Wood Brothers because I would argue like this it this is arguably your best driver that you've had under your camp since like well since Ryan since Ryan Blaney.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_01: Since Ryan Blaney, yeah.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_01: Ryan Blaney, Elliot Sadler, Neil Mann, and all those guys.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_01: Which that I think if Toyota keeps the package that they've had in 26 over to 2027, I think we could see a multi-win season out of Area Legacy.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_00: That's definitely a bold pick, especially since we're talking Legacy Motor Club, but at the same time, it's not the wildest prediction I've heard.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_00: I think I think he'll get another win.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_00: I think.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_00: I think he'll get another few top tens before the year's up.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_00: I mean he could get uh seventh top ten in a row at Gateway because it's another short flat track.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_00: Which Pen which which which Penske's really good at short flat tracks and you know while Barry's not a Penske car, the Wood Brothers is essentially the quote unquote fourth Penske car, it's their affiliate.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_00: So yeah, but Hamlin's toe length damage left him 18th at the finish, very similar to Halgar's wall contact, which ended up 17th.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_00: Hamlin's points lead now sliced from 25 points down to 12 as Bell with his win goes from sixth to second in the chase standings.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_00: So I mean Bell, yeah, huge game for Bell, got 73 points with the win.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_00: He could easily rip off another win or two, and it's like boom, Bell might end up winning the championship.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_00: Will he probably not, but you know, momentum flips quick in the chase, especially with the whole reset and everything.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_00: But Gateway Gateway being this weekend, and Hamlin returns as the defending winner, so we will see what happens.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_00: Of course, you two will know what happens before I do because you'll be there.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_00: So hope y'all had fun.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_00: We'll call it no.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just put it in the group chat.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_02: Well, see it.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_02: I mean, you will, I'll be too busy videoing.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, that that's your job this week.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_01: You get the videos, I'll keep the updates rolling.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, true, you're right.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_00: Uh updated picks and standings.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_00: I lead the cup standings by 179 over Haley, 250 over Evan, 368 over Stacey, 532 over Bernardo, 618 over Noah.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_00: Ethan, you're only 80 points behind Noah in the cup standings, so you could definitely run him down.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_01: I did not realize I was A, I didn't realize I was that close to Noah, but B.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_01: I also didn't realize I was ahead of the in like I thought I genuinely thought you were.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_02: Well, alright, here's here's the thing to I mean I'm not far behind you though either.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was gonna say to to cut it straight, Zayn at first was kind of awful, and then he ripped off two wins in a row, and before that, if I'm not mistaken, he had a tenth at with Bowman, and then of course he had the third with Redick at Darlington, so yeah, Zane, he's like another yeah, he's 61 points behind you, Ethan.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_00: So both of you could run down Noah and pass him, but we'll see.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_00: Uh picks for this weekend or this weekend, or picks for last weekend at Darlington.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_00: I picked Briscoe, ended up sixth, led 30 laps.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_00: If Briscoe didn't take it three wide on the second restart after the or the restart after the second rain delay, or if the second rain delay didn't happen in general, I do think we would be talking about Briscoe having one three straight seven to five hundreds.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_00: That's just me, personally.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_00: But Evan with Ryan Blaney ended up fourth, came from deep in the field.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_00: Same with Haley, who picked Larson, ended up fifth, led 99 laps, which is the most.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_00: Stacy uh picked William Byron and ended up 37th at the DNF, so uh Zayn, I promise you're not the only one that's mad.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_00: Noah with Eric Jones ended up 15th.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_00: Eric Jones, I thought he would do better, but he kind of got screwed by the metric because he got started deep, and then he was just a no-show.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_00: But I feel like if we actually had qualifying, Jones would have been more of a factor.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_00: That's just me, anyways.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_00: Ethan with Denny Hamlin ended up 18th with the wall contact, still had 68 laps.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_00: Uh McDowell.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know what.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_00: Um, I mean, I don't think McDowell really intended anything, at least with Hamlin.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't know about Zayn Smith.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_00: That's a little more questionable.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't think that was intentional.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_01: I don't think the contact with McDow uh with Hamlin was intentional.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was just kind of just two that was just that was just kind of just two cars racing on Darlington's famous one and a half cruise racetrack.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's and stuff like that's gonna happen there.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_00: Um now Hosovar on the other hand, uh that was a little iffy, but we'll get to that in a second.
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_00: Sane with Tyler Reddick ended up third, as we mentioned, led 74 laps from the poll.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_00: You didn't win, but you still had another good run.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_00: You're trying to run down Ethan, both of you trying to run down Noah.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_00: We'll see what happens.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_00: We got nine races left.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_00: Um, yada yada.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_00: But anyways, uh finishing it off, welcome back to Hot Sauce Hurricane.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_00: For you two newbies, it's basically just any additional thoughts on Geo Celsi and Carson Hosefar put together because it's just their two nicknames, Hot Sauce and Hurricane, put together.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_00: It's simple enough, but I'll keep the segment short today.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_00: But honestly, both Selzi and Hospital, they need help if they want to win their respective championships, and neither probably will happen at this point, but still.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_00: Geo Celsi did win the last time we were at Port Royal Speedway back on July 26th on the Bob Wekker Memorial for$100,000, and he'll probably need a similar performance to get back in the championship conversation.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_00: He currently sits third in high limit standings, 147 back to Rico for the lead, but he was recently as close as 49 points back after Placidville Speedway in California back on August 22nd.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_00: And Carson Hospital, I don't know what to say at this point.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, the 11th place finished after starting 34th due to the metric wasn't that bad.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_00: Although I will say this.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_00: If you are a believer, oh hey, nice die cast thing.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_00: If you are if you are a believer in the whole uh Tabitha showing up at the race cursing Carson Hospar ever since Indianapolis trend, I will say this.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_00: Tabitha wasn't at the race, she was at her mom's wedding.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_00: Do I believe in that trend?
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_03: Eh.
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_00: He's now 89 behind Hamlin for the lead.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_00: And then the whole situation with spinning out Brad.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, if Brad retaliates just like Carl Overst did to himself back at Gateway in 2010, that could easily take Hosabar out of the chase, just like that.
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_00: He just I feel like Hospar needs to focus on the bigger picture, in my opinion, but you could say Spire has to uh as a whole, I don't know, but mostly Hosvar.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_00: I've said this for weeks now with just the repeated, really terrible runs that he's had.
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_00: Most of them were his fault, to be honest.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, sure Iowa, he had a bad car, but Richmond he downshifted from fifth to third gear, which is just a stupid mistake.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_00: New Hampshire, he literally spun out three times during the race, including on the pace lab.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_00: Time now he pulled that off.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_00: And then Daytona, like, yeah, sure, the new air package caught him and spun him around, but at the same time, like, he was riding in the back all day.
- 1:14:19SPEAKER_00: He knew his car was gonna be tight, and he knew once he ducked out into that clean air, it was gonna make his car super loose, and he still spun around, so I don't know.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_00: But um any more thoughts from you two?
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_00: Just on literally anything?
- 1:14:35SPEAKER_01: I definitely think on the Hosevar situation, especially with Keselowski, um I definitely think in terms of like people, like okay, say he had done that to like I I don't know, I'm just gonna use like a random example.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_01: We'll say Tyler Reddick.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_01: Say he had done it to somebody like that, then maybe it wouldn't be as like there wouldn't be as much like hype.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_01: But I think with Keslowski, like the whole situation with Carl inwards, we've seen him do it in the past, and although he's much older now and a lot more uh smoothened out, uh I definitely think Keslowski still has it in a poll move like that.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_01: And for me and Zayn's sake, I hope and Erhard Entertainment, I hope he does it this weekend.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_00: I think that Brad is just kind of like I feel like he's just like being a veteran, I feel like he feels like that some veteran just needs to put Hosovar in his place, and I feel like Brad, being that he's not in the chase, I feel like he's the one that's gonna do it.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_00: But I don't know, cause like we haven't ever we haven't really seen somebody get payback at Hosovar or like intentionally put him in the wall or something.
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_00: You know, nothing like Chastain and Hamlin and Elliot at Gateway in twenty-two or really just Chastain the entire year in twenty-two or you know, we haven't really seen that and I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but I am saying that I think this is definitely the most likely it's been a chance that it could happen this year, being with Brad.
- 1:16:18SPEAKER_00: It's like, you know, maybe he wants to put Hosovar in his place and you know, he's not in the chase.
- 1:16:25SPEAKER_00: He has RFK or well, RFK's been halfway decent, coming on strong late this year.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_00: Of course, Priest won't be Tony, but Brad specifically has not been good this year.
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_00: To be honest, in my opinion, I think he should retire either.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_00: Well, I think he should retire next year.
- 1:16:43SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_00: Maybe Brad just thinks he just has nothing to lose, and it's like, you know what, I'm gonna put this Hosovar kid in his place or something.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_00: That's just my take.
- 1:16:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I kinda agree with that.
- 1:16:56SPEAKER_02: Um, like you mentioned, he has nothing to lose, so since he never made the chase, so I mean, he's probably gonna pull something this weekend on Hosovar.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_02: Probably gonna give him like a warning.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_02: Kind of like give him a few warning shots, and then if Hosevar fires back, then he is not gonna hold back a second time.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_00: If you think about it, he Brad, what he might do is he might he might fire a warning shot, and then if Hosovar still wants to be rough on the edges, then Brad will just wreck him at Bristol.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_00: Because they go to Bristol the following week.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_00: So I I could see that possibly happening.
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, we could all just be overhyping this situation in general, and all that happens is just Hosovar gets a flat tire from Brad or something, but I don't know.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_00: I don't think Brad's gonna full on intentionally wreck Hosovar, but at the same time I would not be surprised if it happens.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_00: But we'll see.
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_00: But that'll do it for tonight's well, go ahead.
- 1:17:56SPEAKER_02: Or Brad could just be all bark and no bite.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_00: True, yeah.
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_00: It's kind of what he's been over the past yeah, four, ever since ever since he was part of the ownership at RFK.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_00: But that'll do it for tonight's episode of the Throttle Four Podcast.
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_00: Make sure you tune in, listen, watch and download on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, check out the chill photography and throttle for podcasts, Instagrams and TikToks, and thanks to Ethan and Zane for uh I finally dragged you both onto the podcast.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_00: Uh kind of wish we had Evan too to make it all four of us, but uh he had to deal with some more errands and uh we're still trying to get his internet fixed.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be exciting having YouTube back on the podcast next week, assuming you can be on the podcast.
- 1:18:47SPEAKER_00: We'll definitely talk about World 100.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_00: Alright, yeah.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_00: Of course we'll yeah.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_00: Of course we'll talk World 100, Alodora, we'll talk Gateway, YouTube both be a gateway.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, there's there'll there'll probably be some other news that comes out then, but yeah, so that'll do it for tonight's episode of the Thought of Four podcast, and we'll see y'all next week.
