MECHS Celebrates 20 Years of Early College Success | Texas News
Twenty years in, Mission Early College High School isn’t just a school—it’s a legacy. Launched in 2006 as the first early college high school in El Paso, MECHS lets students earn their high school diploma and college credits—or even an associate degree—all while still in high school, thanks to a powerhouse partnership with El Paso Community College. Now expanded to all six high schools in the Socorro ISD, the program has awarded its 3,000th associate degree this year. Students are pushed to dream big and work hard, with MECHS earning two National Blue Ribbon honors and top “A” ratings…
