- 0:06Speaker 1: I'm so excited about this.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Obviously, March Madness is underway, correct.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Gabe, that's right.
- 0:14Speaker 4: We are going to talk a little bit about the
- 0:15Speaker 4: Bison matchup a little later on in this hour.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Yes, very exciting.
- 0:20Speaker 2: But for now, I've been doing a lot of thinking, Gabe,
- 0:24Speaker 2: and seeing as how you're becoming a father in the summer.
- 0:29Speaker 3: That's right.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Eventually you will be.
- 0:31Speaker 2: The the daddy on this show, the big daddy, if
- 0:36Speaker 2: you will, because we are in Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:39Speaker 4: No, it's interesting how you put that. How did that
- 0:41Speaker 4: go again? One more time for me?
- 0:42Speaker 2: That you're going to be the resident daddy here, the
- 0:44Speaker 2: big Daddy.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I just had to hear to make
- 0:47Speaker 3: sure you said that.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah, But because you are not going to become a
- 0:51Speaker 2: father until the summer, that's right. Who is the big
- 0:55Speaker 2: daddy right now? Nobody? But I have a way to remedy,
- 1:00Speaker 2: I guess. Okay, in honor of March Madness, I want
- 1:04Speaker 2: us to do March Dadness.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Okay, So I mean here's what we're gonna do.
- 1:11Speaker 2: You listening, if you if you're hubby, if you're a boyfriend,
- 1:15Speaker 2: if just somebody you know who's a father, if you
- 1:18Speaker 2: think that they are such a daddy and that they
- 1:22Speaker 2: should be crowned Big Daddy of Big ninety eight point seven.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Here's what I want you to do. I'm gonna post
- 1:29Speaker 2: this on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page,
- 1:32Speaker 2: and what you're gonna do is in the comments, drop
- 1:36Speaker 2: a picture of said daddy and their name, and then
- 1:42Speaker 2: we'll go through them. We'll make a whole bracket situation,
- 1:45Speaker 2: just like in March Madness, but for March Dadness, okay,
- 1:50Speaker 2: and then we will have people vote via the Big
- 1:54Speaker 2: ninety eight point seven Instagram So if you're not following
- 1:57Speaker 2: us on Instagram, it's Big nine eight seven FM on Instagram.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So then we can, you know, whittle it down. People
- 2:06Speaker 2: will vote, and we will eventually crown the Big Daddy
- 2:11Speaker 2: of Big ninety eight point seven. Since you cannot hold
- 2:13Speaker 2: the title game, you're technically not a father yet.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I was gonna say, do am I am I participating
- 2:19Speaker 4: this night?
- 2:20Speaker 3: Am I part of the Wow? Everyone just got let
- 2:23Speaker 3: off the hook? Then?
- 2:24Speaker 2: Oh, because you were absolutely gonna crush it.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I'm just kidding.
- 2:29Speaker 2: So this nominate the daddies who you think you know
- 2:34Speaker 2: should compete to be crowned Big Daddy for March Dadness.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I love this all right, So how can people nominate
- 2:42Speaker 4: on Facebook or Instagram?
- 2:44Speaker 2: You can nominate on Facebook and Instagram, slide in the dms,
- 2:47Speaker 2: whatever you gotta do. But get us a photo because
- 2:50Speaker 2: we're gonna use photos to help people vote. So get
- 2:53Speaker 2: us a photo and the name of the Daddy and
- 2:56Speaker 2: we can get it going for March Dadness.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Big ninety eight.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 3:08Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 3:09Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:11Speaker 3: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 3:18Speaker 5: two eight oho one ninety eight.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Seven, kids, I also needed to win that day. Tansie,
- 3:23Speaker 3: do you have a little victory for us here this morning?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:25Speaker 2: My little victory is that I'm back, baby. So I
- 3:29Speaker 2: was stuck in Minneapolis. It's spring break, and so me
- 3:34Speaker 2: and my ex are no longer together, and that means
- 3:36Speaker 2: that we trade off breaks and holidays. So just by
- 3:41Speaker 2: virtue of what he did, I would have loved to
- 3:44Speaker 2: just driven them to Hector International Airport, but it was
- 3:47Speaker 2: not up to me to do the tickets for the
- 3:50Speaker 2: airlines and everything. So my ex asked me, Hey, can
- 3:53Speaker 2: you drive into MSP drop the kids off so that
- 3:57Speaker 2: I can fly back with them to Washington. And I
- 3:59Speaker 2: said no, because Mikey and I decided, well, we'll road
- 4:02Speaker 2: trip it out there and then we'll make like a
- 4:04Speaker 2: date night out of it and then come back on Sunday.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Well, the weather had other plans to do, so it
- 4:12Speaker 1: was like.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I think it was like ten inches of snow or something,
- 4:16Speaker 2: blizzard conditions. And on Sunday morning, we were thinking about
- 4:20Speaker 2: driving back anyway because I don't like to miss work.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I love doing this show with you, Gabe.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But everyone on the news was saying, hey, by the way,
- 4:30Speaker 2: you literally won't be able to see and there've already
- 4:33Speaker 2: been one hundred and forty one cars who've spun out
- 4:37Speaker 2: on the roads. And so even though Mike said, I
- 4:41Speaker 2: mean I can, we can make it back, but it'll
- 4:43Speaker 2: probably take us six hours and you'll be stressed.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Out the entire ride. Ye, we decided, fine, we'll stay.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So we stayed.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And then it looked like maybe I'm really talking for
- 4:52Speaker 2: a long time, but it looked like maybe we weren't
- 4:54Speaker 2: going to be able to get back into town until
- 4:56Speaker 2: late last night, and then mother nature threw me a
- 5:00Speaker 2: bone and she was like, the sun is out, everything's melting.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Your fine.
- 5:04Speaker 2: So we got back on the road and now I'm
- 5:06Speaker 2: here today, and that for me is a little victory
- 5:09Speaker 2: because I love doing this show every single weekday and
- 5:11Speaker 2: I hate when I miss one.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Well, we're glad you're back. Glad you made it safe
- 5:15Speaker 4: and sound. The show yesterday obviously not good. Hell no,
- 5:20Speaker 4: I'm just getting help. I held down the fort and
- 5:23Speaker 4: we got through it, and obviously a lot more fun
- 5:26Speaker 4: when you're in the studio for sure. When I'm in
- 5:28Speaker 4: here talking by myself, it feels almost a little bit
- 5:31Speaker 4: of one of those like padded room kind of situation.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Well, I really appreciate you holding down the flour and like,
- 5:38Speaker 2: I will try my best not to leave you ever again.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Gabe.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Well, we got to give a big shout out to Renee,
- 5:43Speaker 4: who just texted us. She said, her little victory, and
- 5:46Speaker 4: this is kind of a major victory. But it's very
- 5:48Speaker 4: very cool, she said, I assigned both of my teenagers
- 5:52Speaker 4: one night a week that they need to plan and
- 5:55Speaker 4: cook dinner for the family. This has felt life changing
- 5:59Speaker 4: as I'm using the one to do this chore every week.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Now they come to the store with me on Sunday.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And get everything they need and they always seem excited
- 6:07Speaker 4: for their night.
- 6:08Speaker 3: How awesome is that?
- 6:09Speaker 4: What a little w you know the kid one kid
- 6:11Speaker 4: cooks Tuesday, one kid cooks Thursday, and you're really just
- 6:14Speaker 4: kind of left figuring out what to do the.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Rest of all the time.
- 6:16Speaker 1: That is amazing.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I need to get Aiden to start doing this, and
- 6:20Speaker 2: I just wish I had more children to make them
- 6:22Speaker 2: do this. Liam is a little too young iving for
- 6:26Speaker 2: me to trust him.
- 6:26Speaker 1: In the kush.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Get him a microwave or something you can whip up
- 6:30Speaker 4: some of the microwaves. Right, my little victory just very
- 6:35Speaker 4: quickly here I found one of my wedding rings that
- 6:39Speaker 4: I had thought I lost.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I bought this pack.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Right, so I have like my good one, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 4: my really nice tungsten steel ring that I only wear
- 6:47Speaker 4: to special occasions and what have you. I normally just
- 6:49Speaker 4: wear these like silicone band kind of things, right, and
- 6:53Speaker 4: they're not expensive at all, super easy to replace. But
- 6:56Speaker 4: I bought a pack of like four of them, Okay,
- 6:59Speaker 4: and then I can now accessorize. Okay, I got a
- 7:02Speaker 4: little different color one for the outfit of that day,
- 7:05Speaker 4: and my favorite one is this one I had thought
- 7:08Speaker 4: i'd lost. My favorite one is black and it kind
- 7:10Speaker 4: of has this grath going through the middle.
- 7:12Speaker 3: It's like, oh, that matches.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Everything is matching your outfit today. We need to post
- 7:16Speaker 2: a little picture.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Right, Well, I thought I lost it, and lo and
- 7:19Speaker 4: behold it was in the laundry.
- 7:22Speaker 3: So I'm glad I got it back.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Yay.
- 7:30Speaker 4: I have found out what the luckiest state in America
- 7:35Speaker 4: is and where does North Dakota rank and Minnesota because
- 7:40Speaker 4: they're very different numbers or luckiest states in the entire country.
- 7:44Speaker 3: All right.
- 7:45Speaker 4: For Saint Patrick's Day, this report ranked every state with
- 7:48Speaker 4: how lucky they are, and the data included a ton
- 7:52Speaker 4: of things. Okay, so they really dove into some research here.
- 7:57Speaker 4: It's considered pure luck. Okay, so stuff like a lot
- 7:59Speaker 4: of wins, lightning strikes, and Irish population percentage.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Oh okay, well, naturally because St Patrick's.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah, right, exactly, financial luck, cost of living, affordability, and
- 8:13Speaker 4: lifestyle and safety luck, which is natural disasters, car accidents,
- 8:17Speaker 4: and divorce rates kind of umbrella categories. And then all
- 8:23Speaker 4: of the things under those umbrellas. Do you want to
- 8:26Speaker 4: know the luckiest state in the entire country, Yes, it
- 8:29Speaker 4: is not North Dakota. The luckiest state is New Hampshire, Hampshire,
- 8:35Speaker 4: Yeah right, New Way.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's New Hampshire propaganda right.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Iowa number two?
- 8:43Speaker 4: Okay, and Minnesota the third luckiest state in the entire country.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 8:49Speaker 6: Okay.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So maybe even though North Dakota is not the luckiest,
- 8:54Speaker 2: I just got to drive over the bridge and then.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Buy your lottery ticket over there in Morehead. Yes, now
- 9:02Speaker 3: that's exciting.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's great news. Now I have some interesting news
- 9:06Speaker 4: for good old North Dakota. You might be going, oh, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 4: are we in the top ten or something?
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah, nope, where do we live?
- 9:14Speaker 4: Sadly smack dab in the middle twenty that's a bad
- 9:17Speaker 4: twenty fourth. Yeah, it's not bad. I mean, it definitely
- 9:20Speaker 4: could be worse. You know, it could be like Arkansas.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Is that the unluckiest state? Arkansas?
- 9:26Speaker 4: I have been looking and for whatever reason, I can't
- 9:29Speaker 4: find Oh no, wait, let's see, I have been looking
- 9:32Speaker 4: and I don't know if they actually put in fifty
- 9:35Speaker 4: on this map.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Oh, they're like it's too, sad. I know fiftieth one is.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Yeah, California is forty nine for example. Okay, but now
- 9:44Speaker 4: North and South Dakota twenty three and twenty four respectly,
- 9:48Speaker 4: it's not bad.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's just like we're just chewing in the middle.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Oh, Angie, I think the problem is I just can't read.
- 9:55Speaker 4: I need glasses. The unluckiest two states California have forty nine.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Texas the most unlucky state in the United Ah.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Well, that's why everybody's exes live there, right.
- 10:09Speaker 4: That's right, And they have the Dallas Cowboys. If your
- 10:20Speaker 4: car is low on gas, or if your truck is
- 10:22Speaker 4: low on gas, and you are talking to someone and
- 10:25Speaker 4: you're like, oh, I want to remedy my low gas situation,
- 10:30Speaker 4: how would you say you're going to do that, Angie?
- 10:33Speaker 4: How would you say you're going to How normal people
- 10:37Speaker 4: would say it, get gas?
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna go fill up the tank.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Now, I don't think that that's like some outrageous thing.
- 10:45Speaker 4: It's not like you're saying something very strange. But I
- 10:49Speaker 4: would bet most people would just say I'm going to
- 10:51Speaker 4: get gas.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Well, what happened was you and I were on the
- 10:55Speaker 2: phone talking to our boss and we were discussing getting gas,
- 11:01Speaker 2: and I said, oh, yeah, I would just go fill
- 11:03Speaker 2: up the tank.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And you and our boss looked to me like I
- 11:07Speaker 1: was crazy.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I just don't think that's how most people say it.
- 11:11Speaker 6: Let us know.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 11:14Speaker 4: How would you say you're gonna get gased? You just
- 11:16Speaker 4: say you're gonna get gas. We do have this up
- 11:19Speaker 4: on Facebook, and I will say, Angie, there is someone
- 11:22Speaker 4: sort of with you. Someone Yeah, the word of with me. Okay,
- 11:26Speaker 4: Katie said get some gas. Comma need to fill up
- 11:30Speaker 4: the tank.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yes, need to fill up the tank and get.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Gas was first. Okay did you see that one?
- 11:36Speaker 5: I know?
- 11:37Speaker 4: And then there's someone like Amanda. This one's I think,
- 11:40Speaker 4: very cute and clever and fun. Okay, I need to
- 11:43Speaker 4: fill her up.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Okay, fill her up my leg.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that one's pretty good.
- 11:47Speaker 4: But a vast majority of people say put gas in
- 11:50Speaker 4: my car or get gas. Cassandra Laura Meghan says, buy
- 11:56Speaker 4: a new one. This is my favorite one though, and
- 12:00Speaker 4: one I think a lot of Hubbies could relate to here, Angie,
- 12:03Speaker 4: when this person is out of gas. Cody's wife. Cody's
- 12:08Speaker 4: wife says husband, I need groceries, so I'm sure he
- 12:13Speaker 4: takes our car to get groceries and to put gas
- 12:16Speaker 4: in the car.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Honestly, I lied. Okay, I don't say I'm gonna fill
- 12:21Speaker 2: up the tie. I know, see this, This is what
- 12:24Speaker 2: I say.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I go, Mike, will you go fill up the tank?
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:28Speaker 1: I exactly like that too. It's so annoying.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I does it. When was the last time you
- 12:33Speaker 4: think you grabbed a gas handle? Actually?
- 12:36Speaker 2: Oh, gosh, before before he lived here? No shock, I
- 12:41Speaker 2: think honestly, when the June in June June of twenty
- 12:46Speaker 2: twenty five, was the last time I pumped my own gas?
- 12:49Speaker 4: Seven eight zero one nine eight seven? When you need
- 12:53Speaker 4: to put gasoline or petroleum in your car? Or wait, no,
- 12:57Speaker 4: what do they call petrol?
- 12:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Petrol? Yeah, your car? How do you say it? Do
- 13:02Speaker 4: you say it like Angie or do you say it
- 13:03Speaker 4: like the rest of the world?
- 13:04Speaker 1: Oh?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Okay?
- 13:05Speaker 4: Seven one to two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 13:10Speaker 5: In the world of Rules in Gray Areas, one morning
- 13:13Speaker 5: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 13:15Speaker 3: We both know you're guilty.
- 13:16Speaker 1: He's guilty.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Is it legal?
- 13:19Speaker 4: You're guilty of the worst crime of all on.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 13:25Speaker 4: With grilling seasons slowly sneaking up on us here in
- 13:29Speaker 4: North Dakota or Minnesota, you might be thinking about firing
- 13:33Speaker 4: up the barbecue. Okay, burger's brats, maybe some chicken. But
- 13:36Speaker 4: there's one thing you definitely cannot throw on the grill.
- 13:41Speaker 1: What possibly could that be?
- 13:44Speaker 3: That would be a loon.
- 13:46Speaker 4: The common loon is protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty
- 13:50Speaker 4: Act of nineteen eighteen, which means hunting, killing, possessing, or
- 13:53Speaker 4: even thinking about how barbecuing one.
- 13:56Speaker 3: That's a big no no. And the penalties they're no joke.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Okay, violating this law can bring fines of up to
- 14:02Speaker 4: fifteen thousand dollars and lead up to six months in prison.
- 14:07Speaker 4: So if you are planning your next backyard cookout this summer,
- 14:10Speaker 4: stick with the classics. Okay, can't go wrong with burgers,
- 14:13Speaker 4: perfect brats, absolutely, maybe even a little grilled corn if
- 14:17Speaker 4: you're feeling adventurous. But if someone shows up and says, hey,
- 14:21Speaker 4: I brought luneburgers, that's probably your cue to politely ask
- 14:25Speaker 4: them to leave and maybe call a wildlife officer. My god,
- 14:29Speaker 4: the only place that a loon belongs is on the
- 14:32Speaker 4: lake making this wonderful call and not sizzling. Not sizzling
- 14:41Speaker 4: on your grill is variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:45Speaker 4: It's Gabe and Angie. Kind of cloudy, snowy Saint Patrick's
- 14:49Speaker 4: day for us, but sunshine beginning tomorrow and for the
- 14:53Speaker 4: rest of the week. We're in the fifties, maybe even
- 14:55Speaker 4: sixty on Friday. So let's get through today together, enjoy
- 14:59Speaker 4: our Saint Patrick to day. Maybe the last snowfall of
- 15:02Speaker 4: the year, maybe because you never know what may's looking like.
- 15:05Speaker 4: But we should have a pretty good rest of the
- 15:07Speaker 4: week after today. What four little words do you think
- 15:14Speaker 4: can help maintain a successful marriage. I have found the
- 15:19Speaker 4: cheat code at my house. This is the one that
- 15:21Speaker 4: works best for me. Okay, I'll do the dishes. That right,
- 15:30Speaker 4: There are four little words. I mean, that's better than
- 15:32Speaker 4: the three I love yous at my house.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I wow, that is not how it is in my home.
- 15:39Speaker 2: If Mikey said that he would do the dishes, I would.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I don't love that. I don't like the way he
- 15:43Speaker 1: does dishes. That's the issue.
- 15:46Speaker 3: So that's that's not I want to work for you.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That doesn't fly in my home. Gosh, I'm trying to think. Actually,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I don't have.
- 15:52Speaker 2: To say four words because I feel like happy. Yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 2: I saw this come in to mind, happy wife, happy life.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Angie doesn't have to do anything to maintain a successful relationship.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Shocker.
- 16:04Speaker 1: But just what is what does Mike you have to
- 16:07Speaker 1: say or what.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Would have you say that would make him happy? Angie?
- 16:12Speaker 4: H oh, it's gotta be big ninety eight point seven
- 16:15Speaker 4: appropriate please?
- 16:16Speaker 1: Oh well, now I can't say anything.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Yo.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Mine would be mine to Mike. You would be I
- 16:21Speaker 1: made dinner.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Babe, that's awesome, that's wonderful.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Now him for me, I would say is don't worry,
- 16:28Speaker 1: I'll drive. Oh that will keep me happy forever.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Well we asked this on Facebook. But if you want
- 16:35Speaker 4: to call her or text us here seven oh one
- 16:37Speaker 4: two eight zero one nine eight seven Rachel this, I
- 16:41Speaker 4: feel like this might work pretty well for both of
- 16:43Speaker 4: you in your house, I think, Angie.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Okay, Rachel, I made your coffee.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, that's a good one. That's a good one. Yeah,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I agree.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 4: So for Aaron, he said or she excuse me, I'm
- 16:58Speaker 4: not exactly sure, but I you whine.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You know what if I had to guess that's what
- 17:06Speaker 2: he is telling his wife.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a ton on here. But I have a
- 17:10Speaker 4: couple more for you that I really like. I think
- 17:11Speaker 4: are actually pretty sweet. I will make dinner. Yeah, such
