- 0:02Speaker 1: All right, you ain't got to respond to your haters.
- 0:04Speaker 1: You ain't got to respond. My boy told me the
- 0:06Speaker 1: other day, some teacher told him, like, you know, you
- 0:08Speaker 1: can't do this. You're not smart enough. You're not intelligent enough. Like,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I don't even know why you decided to get in
- 0:13Speaker 1: this program. Like, you can't do it. And my boy
- 0:16Speaker 1: was talking to me. I'm like, look, shut up. I
- 0:18Speaker 1: don't need to hear what my man said. That's all
- 0:20Speaker 1: some negative stuff. Look, let your work speak for you. Like, quiet,
- 0:24Speaker 1: my man. Shut my man up. Shut him down. How
- 0:28Speaker 1: do you shut him down? You don't shut him down
- 0:30Speaker 1: by talking about what he said. You don't shut him
- 0:32Speaker 1: down by talking about, you know, how you feel about
- 0:35Speaker 1: what he said. You shut him down by working. So,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I need y'all to do me a huge favor. All right.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Bruce Lee, for the best. He said... Knowing is not enough.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We must apply. Being willing is not enough. We must do.
- 0:49Speaker 1: So I told you, second quarter living. We're not talking
- 0:51Speaker 1: no more. Second quarter living is about application, all right?
- 0:55Speaker 1: It's about taking it to the next level. It's not
- 0:57Speaker 1: about talking. It's about doing. Put it in the mail
- 1:02Speaker 1: and send it home. Your cell phone, cut it off. Facebook, Twitter.
- 1:07Speaker 1: If it's not helping you academically, cut it off. You're
- 1:10Speaker 1: about to immerse yourself in your academics. You're about to
- 1:13Speaker 1: go to your professor and ask, what's going to be
- 1:16Speaker 1: on the test? You're going to look around at all
- 1:18Speaker 1: those smart kids in your class that's getting 4.0s. 3.5s
- 1:21Speaker 1: and you're going to hook up and say, what do
- 1:23Speaker 1: I need to know? Listen to me, you're about to
- 1:25Speaker 1: immerse yourself in it. You're cutting off all distractions. Everything
- 1:29Speaker 1: that's not going to help you to pass this fight.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Listen to me, there'll be plenty of time to play PlayStation, baby.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Kenny Rogers used to say, you got to know when
- 1:37Speaker 1: to hold them, know when to fold them, know when
- 1:39Speaker 1: to walk away, know when to run. You don't never
- 1:42Speaker 1: count your money while you're sitting at the table. There'll
- 1:45Speaker 1: be time enough to count it When the deal is done, baby,
- 1:48Speaker 1: are you hearing me? After you take your final exam,
- 1:51Speaker 1: you got time for PlayStation. So when you talk, right?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Like whatever you say out of your mouth, that one
- 2:07Speaker 1: word will require thousands of actions. Hear me and hear
- 2:11Speaker 1: me carefully. You got to be careful doing too much
- 2:14Speaker 1: talking because whatever it is you say, whatever it is
- 2:17Speaker 1: you say, I want to be an NBA all-star. I
- 2:20Speaker 1: want to win a Super Bowl. When you open up
- 2:21Speaker 1: your mouth and say that, there are, do you understand
- 2:24Speaker 1: how many push-ups you got to do? How many reps
- 2:27Speaker 1: you got to do? Do you know how many stretches
- 2:29Speaker 1: you got to do? Do you know how many plays
- 2:30Speaker 1: you got to practice? When you say you want to
- 2:32Speaker 1: be a lawyer, do you know how many cases you
- 2:35Speaker 1: got to sit through? Do you know how many books
- 2:37Speaker 1: you got to read? Do you understand how many classes
- 2:39Speaker 1: you have to take? Do you understand when you say
- 2:42Speaker 1: you want to be a registered nurse? When you say
- 2:44Speaker 1: a nurse, how much clinicals you have to do? How
- 2:46Speaker 1: many chapters you have to read? Do you understand how
- 2:48Speaker 1: early you have to get up? You're about to immerse
- 2:52Speaker 1: yourself in your studies. You will only concentrate. You will
- 2:56Speaker 1: only focus on the things that are going to help
- 2:58Speaker 1: you with your final examination. You're not doing any leisure
- 3:03Speaker 1: right now. You will have time for the leisure later.
- 3:06Speaker 1: How much work do I have to put in to
- 3:09Speaker 1: make this happen? Because it's not going to happen just
- 3:11Speaker 1: because you talked about it. It's not going to happen
- 3:13Speaker 1: just because you said it, right? So do me a
- 3:15Speaker 1: huge favor. You've wished enough. Enough wishing. You've wished enough.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You've waited enough. Now let's get to work. You can't
- 3:24Speaker 1: go back. There's no options at this point. We're in
- 3:26Speaker 1: the fourth quarter. It's do or die, baby. We do
- 3:29Speaker 1: not have time. We about to go get it, right?
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's ours for the getting. You're in school. You can
- 3:34Speaker 1: do it. You're in school. You were smart enough to
- 3:36Speaker 1: get there. You're smart enough to get out. You can
- 3:38Speaker 1: do it and you're not leaving. Listen to me. We
- 3:40Speaker 1: ain't going home. We ain't going nowhere until we get
- 3:43Speaker 1: the degree. You ain't going nowhere until you get it done.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And so we're going to lock everything else down for
- 3:49Speaker 1: the next two weeks. We shutting it down. We shutting
- 3:52Speaker 1: it down. And do we doing what we got to
- 3:55Speaker 1: do to get what we got to get?
- 4:00Speaker 2: It's time for application. It's time for execution. If you
- 4:05Speaker 2: want your future, then keep listening. If you do not
- 4:11Speaker 2: want your future, leave the room. Stop listening to me.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Do something else on the internet because here's the thing.
- 4:19Speaker 2: There are going to be days where you are going
- 4:20Speaker 2: to be so inundated with responsibility and you are going
- 4:24Speaker 2: to want to completely let go of the vision, of
- 4:30Speaker 2: the dream.
- 4:32Speaker 1: As bad as you want to hold it in your hand,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you're going to want to let go of it all
- 4:36Speaker 1: and quit.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And I don't care if you have to listen to
- 4:39Speaker 2: me 10,000 times. If you have to listen to this
- 4:44Speaker 2: in your sleep, write it down, read it every day
- 4:49Speaker 2: until the dream becomes a reality.
- 4:53Speaker 1: This is the power of discipline.
- 4:58Speaker 2: The race is not given to the swift nor the strong,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but it is he that endures to the end. They
- 5:06Speaker 2: say that discipline is doing what you hate like you
- 5:11Speaker 2: love it. For some of you, it might be reading.
- 5:13Speaker 2: For some of you, it might be exercising. I don't
- 5:15Speaker 2: know what it is that you hate, but do it
- 5:18Speaker 2: like you love it and do it daily. Perseverance is
- 5:22Speaker 2: what kicks in the moment you want to quit. Perseverance
- 5:25Speaker 2: is what kicks in the moment it gets hard. Perseverance
- 5:29Speaker 2: is what kicks in when your mind attempts to manipulate
- 5:31Speaker 2: you and tell you that you don't have what it takes.
- 5:35Speaker 1: That you've done enough. That it's over.
- 5:37Speaker 2: That it doesn't take all that. That you can get
- 5:41Speaker 2: by with a C. Perseverance says absolutely not. Perseverance will
- 5:45Speaker 2: hold your standard when you're tired, when you're weary, when
- 5:48Speaker 2: you think you don't have.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Anything left in the tank. Perseverance says let's go. Are
- 5:53Speaker 1: you with me?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Perseverance says let's go a little higher. Perseverance says let's
- 5:58Speaker 2: push for the A. Perseverance says, 20 more yards, 10
- 6:03Speaker 2: more yards, 5 more yards. Perseverance says, I was made
- 6:08Speaker 2: to touchdown. I was made to win championships. Perseverance says,
- 6:14Speaker 2: my design is not to break down.
- 6:17Speaker 1: My design is to keep pushing.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Discipline is found in our daily routine, our daily rituals.
- 6:27Speaker 2: You may use discipline on occasion, but you're not disciplined.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And there's a difference between having discipline and being disciplined.
- 6:37Speaker 2: When you have discipline, you're selective. When you have discipline,
- 6:41Speaker 2: you're conditional. It depends on how you feel. When you
- 6:46Speaker 2: are disciplined, how you do anything is how you do everything.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And everything you do, you show up at a thousand percent.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Everything you do, you execute with a spirit of excellence.
- 6:56Speaker 2: That's what discipline looks like.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Seize the moment. Lean into now.
- 7:05Speaker 2: See the power, the beauty, the brilliance, the privilege in now.
- 7:12Speaker 2: There are people who are dead and gone and they
- 7:14Speaker 2: will never be back. And if they can come back,
- 7:17Speaker 2: they will kill to live your now.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So be thankful for now.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Love.
- 7:23Speaker 2: You're now.
- 7:26Speaker 4: So if you're still consumed by what happened last year,
- 7:31Speaker 4: last month, or even yesterday, guess what? You are holding
- 7:37Speaker 4: up your progress. You are holding up your progress, but
- 7:42Speaker 4: your future self wants you to get up. You have
- 7:46Speaker 4: to believe that you control your destiny. Don't put that
- 7:50Speaker 4: responsibility on anyone else but yourself.
- 7:53Speaker 5: You.
- 7:54Speaker 4: It's either going to be focus on the future, focus
- 7:56Speaker 4: on the present, or focus.
- 7:58Speaker 5: On the past.
- 7:59Speaker 1: That's it.
- 8:00Speaker 4: And I can tell you from personal experience that it's
- 8:04Speaker 4: easy to get off track by focusing too much on
- 8:07Speaker 4: your mistakes or focusing too much on your missed opportunities
- 8:12Speaker 4: or focusing too much on what disappointed you or who
- 8:16Speaker 4: disappointed you. What you don't want to do is put
- 8:21Speaker 4: so much energy into what happened that you miss out
- 8:26Speaker 4: on what is happening. You should be in such a
- 8:31Speaker 4: zone that your mind is only programmed to look forward.
- 8:40Speaker 6: It's time for you to recognize the person that you
- 8:45Speaker 6: are being is not the person that you have to be.
- 8:49Speaker 6: It's time for you to be more motivated than you've
- 8:51Speaker 6: ever been in your entire life, rather than settling for
- 8:56Speaker 6: what you have. Chances are you didn't wake up one
- 8:59Speaker 6: day and think, I just want to be a mediocre person.
- 9:04Speaker 6: I want to be like everybody else. No, you had
- 9:08Speaker 6: a burning desire to learn, to grow and evolve. The
- 9:13Speaker 6: problem is that you settled into a world that said,
- 9:17Speaker 6: it's okay to be comfortable. It's okay to stay where
- 9:21Speaker 6: you are. But the fact is, if you're staying where
- 9:24Speaker 6: you are, you're going backwards. You see, to be motivated
- 9:29Speaker 6: means to move through things. The word motivation comes from
- 9:35Speaker 6: the Latin of motive. What is your motive for doing
- 9:39Speaker 6: what you're doing? Let's be honest.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You have goals. You have dreams.
- 9:44Speaker 6: You have ambitions.
- 9:46Speaker 1: We all do.
- 9:48Speaker 6: We are what the Greeks called teleological. We are goal
- 9:55Speaker 6: centered creatures, we need targets, things to aim for, but
- 9:59Speaker 6: most of us are just settling for things that don't
- 10:03Speaker 6: give us the greatest joy the fact is we are
- 10:07Speaker 6: all here to grow to evolve and to contribute Jim
- 10:11Speaker 6: Rohn famously said that the difference between us and all
- 10:15Speaker 6: of the other animals on the planet is that we
- 10:18Speaker 6: have the dignity of of choice. A tree doesn't think
- 10:23Speaker 6: to itself, well, you know what, I've had enough of growing,
- 10:26Speaker 6: I'm just going to stay here. No, it does what
- 10:30Speaker 6: it is meant to do. Every living soul, every living
- 10:35Speaker 6: cell lives for one reason. It lives to grow, to
- 10:40Speaker 6: express itself fully. Every day when we're not allowing ourselves
- 10:46Speaker 6: to be who we are truly capable of being, there
- 10:50Speaker 6: is a part of us that is dying. The question
- 10:54Speaker 6: I want to ask you right now is, who do
- 10:57Speaker 6: you want to become?
- 11:04Speaker 3: See, I recognized early on in life that life ain't
- 11:06Speaker 3: just about the decisions that we make.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I'm a high school dropout.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It took me 12 years to get a four-year degree.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I was homeless, eating out of trash cans, living in
- 11:18Speaker 1: abandoned buildings in the D.
- 11:20Speaker 3: If you don't become who you're supposed to become, like,
- 11:23Speaker 3: people gonna hurt. Like, if I didn't hit the reset
- 11:26Speaker 3: button in life, who knows what a team would be like?
- 11:30Speaker 3: There's something inside you. And so this is why we
- 11:33Speaker 3: do what we do.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So what we gonna do? We gonna get the right information,
- 11:38Speaker 1: and then we gonna get narrow focus, and boom, we
- 11:40Speaker 1: gonna go for it. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
- 11:42Speaker 1: That's it. I haven't reached the highest height. The Nobel
- 11:45Speaker 1: Prize is what's next. What you getting ready for? What's next?
- 11:49Speaker 1: What's next for you? Many of you will not be
- 11:52Speaker 1: successful because you've got this giant goal and no steps
- 11:56Speaker 1: to go with it. You're just in your mind like, girl,
- 11:59Speaker 1: this is my year. How many steps?
- 12:00Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Like, what is it going to take for you to
- 12:03Speaker 1: do it? I don't know.
- 12:04Speaker 3: If some of y'all, you got some homeboys you're connected with,
- 12:07Speaker 3: but you know they ain't really living how you're supposed
- 12:09Speaker 3: to be living and they're leading you down the wrong way,
- 12:12Speaker 3: you know if I remove myself from it, if I
- 12:14Speaker 3: plug in with positive people, I can make it. Listen,
- 12:18Speaker 3: I want for you what we're experiencing.
- 12:21Speaker 1: And some of you, you so cocky, you so arrogant.
- 12:24Speaker 1: People been wiping your butt for the longest. You think
- 12:27Speaker 1: you deeper than what you are and you about to
- 12:28Speaker 1: lose this doggone opportunity. And let me tell you something,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't care how deep you think you are, get
- 12:33Speaker 1: hurt and find out you are replaceable. You are replaceable.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And if you don't think you are, you make some
- 12:40Speaker 1: phone calls and find out. I know you're suffering.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I know you're hurting on the inside. You're wondering why. Like,
- 12:47Speaker 3: why this gotta happen to me? Why I gotta experience this?
- 12:50Speaker 3: Why this person had to take advantage of me? I
- 12:52Speaker 3: promise you, you are turning into a warrior. Because the
- 12:56Speaker 3: stuff that you're going through, the stuff that you have
- 12:58Speaker 3: to experience, what don't kill you makes you stronger.
- 13:02Speaker 1: If you look at the cat that goes to the.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Gym and he lifting weights and he pumping iron, if
- 13:06Speaker 3: you ask homeboy, hey, bruh, how you get so big,
- 13:08Speaker 3: they gonna tell you it took a whole lot of
- 13:10Speaker 3: time and they had to go through a whole lot
- 13:11Speaker 3: of pain. And life is going to grow you. Listen
- 13:16Speaker 3: to me right now. Life is going to grow you.
- 13:18Speaker 3: It is not going to be easy. It is going
- 13:20Speaker 3: to be painful.
- 13:20Speaker 1: It is going to be frustrating.
- 13:22Speaker 3: You're going to shed some tears. You're probably going to
- 13:24Speaker 3: spill some blood. It's going to hurt, but you've got
- 13:26Speaker 3: to keep pushing.
- 13:38Speaker 7: It's the faith that.
- 13:40Speaker 8: Stands behind that purpose, passion, desire that got you getting
- 13:43Speaker 8: up every single day after you've been knocked down today, yesterday.
- 13:47Speaker 8: You may be knocked down tomorrow. And nothing going to
- 13:54Speaker 8: change if nothing changed. So you have to take action.
- 13:58Speaker 8: And when I say take action, you have to self-assess
- 14:01Speaker 8: and say it is.
- 14:02Speaker 7: You versus you. When you can look in a mirror
- 14:07Speaker 7: and you can say to yourself, I didn't study. I
- 14:09Speaker 7: woke up late. When you can say it's me versus me.
- 14:12Speaker 7: When you can get.
- 14:13Speaker 8: Very comfortable being very uncomfortable, you begin to grow. You
- 14:20Speaker 8: begin to grow and you don't go to pointing fingers
- 14:22Speaker 8: at nobody. Man, I remember I was stripped of everything
- 14:30Speaker 8: I owned. From apartments to cars to Everything I came
- 14:37Speaker 8: in contact with, I mean, I was stripped of. But
- 14:45Speaker 8: all through, through them storms, them trials and tribulations, I
- 14:50Speaker 8: began to soar like an eagle. See, the eagle is
- 14:53Speaker 8: one of the only birds that when a storm is coming,
- 14:56Speaker 8: he doesn't fly away, but he flies into the storm.
- 15:01Speaker 8: And he uses the pressures of the storm to soar.
- 15:04Speaker 8: We're using very little energy to soar above the storm
- 15:09Speaker 8: to rise to an atmosphere of peace and security.
- 15:15Speaker 7: Don't you want to soar?
- 15:20Speaker 8: How would you use the storm to rise, to elevate?
- 15:25Speaker 8: How would you use the storm to soar above everybody
- 15:28Speaker 8: that told you you couldn't do what you're doing? And
- 15:33Speaker 8: what drives you Because it don't matter how hard you go.
- 15:39Speaker 8: When you on a journey. To go get what's yours.
- 15:45Speaker 8: You will be knocked down. And I hope it's the
- 15:51Speaker 8: faith that gives you the unwavering conviction.
- 15:54Speaker 1: The courage.
- 15:55Speaker 7: The dedication. What you sacrificing. Because.
- 16:03Speaker 8: Being physically committed to the process without being emotionally attached
- 16:08Speaker 8: to the outcomes is flying into the storm. And asking yourself,
- 16:15Speaker 8: what can I extract from this storm to soar, to
- 16:19Speaker 8: rise to an atmosphere of peace and security?
- 16:35Speaker 1: We got to go to work. We got to go
- 16:37Speaker 1: to work. Because if I can get you to identify
- 16:41Speaker 1: how much energy you put in others and in other
- 16:44Speaker 1: people's dreams, and I can get you to pull back,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and I can get you to do what you were
- 16:48Speaker 1: born to do, what you were created to do. Now,
- 16:51Speaker 1: why is dreaming important? I don't care what level you
- 16:54Speaker 1: get to. I need you to dream, right? Guys, I
- 16:57Speaker 1: need you to spend a considerable amount of time dreaming
- 17:01Speaker 1: every single day. Let me tell you why. I've noticed
- 17:03Speaker 1: that the people who dream and those people who dream
- 17:06Speaker 1: big have a different kind of life than the people
- 17:09Speaker 1: who don't dream. So if you were here and you're like,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm scared, whatever you do, do this for me. Do
- 17:15Speaker 1: not sabotage yourself with fear. Fear is not real. That's
- 17:17Speaker 1: something in your brain. It does not exist. How do
- 17:20Speaker 1: we get over it? You get over it by dreaming
- 17:22Speaker 1: of what you can be. Come on, y'all got to
- 17:26Speaker 1: hear what I'm saying. There are those of you in
- 17:28Speaker 1: this room, you spend a majority of your life doing
- 17:30Speaker 1: what other people want you to do. You don't even
- 17:33Speaker 1: know who you are. And so even what you're doing,
- 17:36Speaker 1: you're not doing at 120% because you're doing what somebody
- 17:39Speaker 1: else wants you to do and you're not good enough
- 17:42Speaker 1: to be somebody else. So I need y'all to do
- 17:45Speaker 1: me a favor. I need you to be selfish on
- 17:48Speaker 1: the dream piece because what you have to understand is
- 17:50Speaker 1: When you know who you are and you start operating that,
- 17:53Speaker 1: you're going to start blessing people in a way you
- 17:54Speaker 1: couldn't bless people before when you didn't really know who
- 17:57Speaker 1: you were. See, this is the teaching the millennials need.
- 18:03Speaker 1: This is what the millennials need, guys. The millennials have
- 18:06Speaker 1: rushed right into what they thought we wanted them to have,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and that's cars and their stuff.
- 18:09Speaker 8: Why?
- 18:10Speaker 1: Because a generation before, for some of us, right, it
- 18:12Speaker 1: was a working class. They were in poverty, guys. And
- 18:16Speaker 1: so they grew up watching their family work hard to
- 18:20Speaker 1: get stuff. And so now we're wondering why they just
- 18:22Speaker 1: want stuff, stuff, stuff, stuff, because that's all they've seen
- 18:24Speaker 1: in their homes. That's all they heard. They've seen their
- 18:26Speaker 1: parents go out and buy nicer houses and get better
- 18:29Speaker 1: cars than grandma had, better stuff. So I need you
- 18:32Speaker 1: to be selfish on the first tier and that's dreamy.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I need you to be real selfish because you can't
- 18:38Speaker 1: help anybody else. You can't do for anybody else if
- 18:43Speaker 1: you hurt. You know what's so funny? We want people
- 18:50Speaker 1: to make guarantees to us, but we're not willing to
- 18:52Speaker 1: make guarantees to ourselves. Now, I'm going to say it again.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Somebody gave you a guarantee, $ 30, 30-day guarantee. In 30 days,
- 19:04Speaker 1: if you don't make what they told you was going
- 19:05Speaker 1: to make, in 30 days you got an attitude, you
- 19:07Speaker 1: want your money back. But you've never demanded your money
- 19:10Speaker 1: back from yourself. You've never looked at yourself in the
- 19:13Speaker 1: mirror and said, you let you down. Until you get
- 19:16Speaker 1: to that point, you let you down. You've never, you're
- 19:19Speaker 1: not brave enough. You want to put it on somebody else.
- 19:22Speaker 1: The reason why I'm not successful is because of my boss.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and said,
- 19:27Speaker 1: I'm not getting up on time. I'm not going to
- 19:29Speaker 1: work on time. I'm not putting in 120% when I'm
- 19:32Speaker 1: at work. I let me down. You just said you're
- 19:35Speaker 1: giving 50%. You owe you an explanation. You owe you
- 19:38Speaker 1: an explanation. You need to look at yourself in the
- 19:41Speaker 1: mirror and say, why are you only giving 50%? What's
- 19:44Speaker 1: wrong with you? You need to put yourself on punishment.
- 19:48Speaker 1: You need to tell you no more TV. no more
- 19:50Speaker 1: snacks no more desserts no more no we working out
- 19:53Speaker 1: now no no more alcohol not right now not no
- 19:56Speaker 1: I can't handle it right now you need to tell
- 19:58Speaker 1: you that you owe you something So listen to me,
- 20:04Speaker 1: there are those of you saying, I want to be
- 20:05Speaker 1: a millionaire, I want to be the best at this company, right?
- 20:08Speaker 1: But your value system says you believe in sleep more
- 20:11Speaker 1: than you believe in grinding. Your value system says you
- 20:14Speaker 1: are a consumer and not a producer. That you're spending
- 20:18Speaker 1: more money than you're making. Why? Because you're a consumer,
- 20:21Speaker 1: but you're reading all the books and you're saying everything
- 20:23Speaker 1: the books are saying. But those books are not in
- 20:26Speaker 1: alignment with your values. And if you're going to go
- 20:28Speaker 1: to the next level, your values are going to have
- 20:30Speaker 1: to change. Nobody ever told them to dream. Nobody ever
- 20:33Speaker 1: told them that DNA is in their dreams. We told
- 20:35Speaker 1: them that their DNA is in their money.
- 20:43Speaker 7: This is why you're fighting right here.
- 20:47Speaker 8: Listen kid, there's going to be time in your life
- 20:50Speaker 8: where people are going to try to rain on your parade.
- 20:53Speaker 8: They're going to try to tell you what you can
- 20:55Speaker 8: and what you can't do. But this is why you're fighting.
- 21:03Speaker 8: You're fighting for them. You fight for all them nights
- 21:06Speaker 8: you've watched your mother sit on the edge of that
- 21:08Speaker 8: bed and cry almost every night.
- 21:10Speaker 7: Where you and your brother, they couldn't do anything and
- 21:12Speaker 7: it hurt you.
- 21:13Speaker 6: You remember?
- 21:13Speaker 1: You remember?
- 21:15Speaker 8: Listen, I don't want you to ever forget why you're
- 21:17Speaker 8: doing what you're doing. You got to understand there's so
- 21:22Speaker 8: much greatness that lives inside of you. And if you
- 21:25Speaker 8: just get through this and continue to fight, there's greatness
- 21:29Speaker 8: on the other side. And I understand that you may
- 21:32Speaker 8: be in the dark today, but doesn't the beautiful roses
- 21:37Speaker 8: of the field begin in the dark?
- 21:40Speaker 7: What you going to do? You going to give up
- 21:43Speaker 7: or you going to keep going?
- 21:46Speaker 1: What is it.
- 21:48Speaker 8: That stands behind that passion, purpose, desire that has you
- 21:54Speaker 8: waking up every single day.
- 21:59Speaker 7: To go get what's yours?
- 22:05Speaker 8: Because my faith is bigger than the size of a
- 22:08Speaker 8: mustard seed. And whatever it is that stands behind that passion, purpose,
- 22:16Speaker 8: and desire that has you waking up every single day.
- 22:19Speaker 1: What is it?
- 22:23Speaker 7: What is it that gives.
- 22:24Speaker 8: You unwavering conviction to go get what's yours? To do
- 22:32Speaker 8: what you want to do? Because there was a point
- 22:37Speaker 8: in my time, in my life, where I didn't have
- 22:39Speaker 8: a faith in myself, where I didn't believe in myself then.
- 22:43Speaker 8: I began to pick myself up, dust myself off. So,
- 22:47Speaker 8: and I asked the question, what is it that continues
- 22:51Speaker 8: to drive you, push you to continue to get up
- 22:55Speaker 8: every single day after you've been knocked down?
- 22:57Speaker 7: You've been here before. Is it your daughter at home?
- 23:05Speaker 7: Is it your mama at home?
- 23:07Speaker 8: Because as I reminisce and watch my mama sit on
- 23:10Speaker 8: the edge of that bed and cry.
- 23:12Speaker 7: Every single night. Are you back yet?
- 23:20Speaker 8: Because whatever it is that does stand behind that passion,
- 23:23Speaker 8: purpose and desire that picks you up every single day,
- 23:26Speaker 8: it better be strong. And I'm talking you will be
- 23:29Speaker 8: knocked down. A storm is coming. You will be exposed
- 23:36Speaker 8: to the elements.
- 23:37Speaker 7: A tornado is coming.
- 23:51Speaker 5: If there's something that you want to do with your life,
- 23:54Speaker 5: that thing deep inside you that whispers day and night,
- 23:57Speaker 5: it will always, always just be an idea until you
- 24:00Speaker 5: choose to believe it's possible. You have to believe it
- 24:03Speaker 5: so much that you already think it's happened. You have
- 24:06Speaker 5: to walk like it's there, talk like it's there. Believe
- 24:10Speaker 5: it's there. People are going to think you're mad. They're
- 24:13Speaker 5: going to look at you and think you're insane. They're
- 24:15Speaker 5: going to tell you like it ain't possible.
- 24:17Speaker 7: It's risky.
- 24:18Speaker 5: You shouldn't do it.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Be careful.
- 24:21Speaker 5: I'm here to tell you today that you can have
- 24:23Speaker 5: anything you want.
- 24:25Speaker 7: Follow your dreams.
- 24:26Speaker 5: These people have to see to believe it, but you
- 24:29Speaker 5: need to believe it to see it.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Be anyone you want.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Believe that you can do it and work hard to
- 24:38Speaker 5: get it and it's yours. Never wait and see to
- 24:42Speaker 5: believe it. Believe it and you'll see it.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Be you.
- 24:48Speaker 5: You're amazing and beautiful and everyone deserves to see the
- 24:51Speaker 5: real you and who you want to be. It's a
- 24:54Speaker 5: scary thing in the world we live in today to
- 24:56Speaker 5: be yourself. With so much fake perfection out there on
- 25:01Speaker 5: social media. But I'll tell you this, it's also the
- 25:04Speaker 5: best feeling in the world when you go through life
- 25:07Speaker 5: knowing you ain't what other people's made you, but yourself.
- 25:11Speaker 5: It's liberating. There's freedom in it. So stop hiding and
- 25:19Speaker 5: be yourself.
- 25:22Speaker 7: You're either moving forward or standing still. The choice is yours.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Decide.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Talent does not win championships. Work ethic does. We watch
- 25:43Speaker 2: those who work. We're motivated by those who work, but
- 25:46Speaker 2: we never put in the work. And so if there's
- 25:48Speaker 2: anything that's broken in you nine times out of 10,
- 25:52Speaker 2: it is the law of application. It's not really ringing
- 25:55Speaker 2: true in your heart. You're still in your feelings. You're
- 25:58Speaker 2: still in your emotions. You're still locked in your paradigm
- 26:01Speaker 2: of preferences. And the moment that you break free, And
- 26:05Speaker 2: stop doing what you feel like doing and do what
- 26:08Speaker 2: you must do to get the job done.
- 26:10Speaker 1: That. And at that point only will you be able
- 26:14Speaker 1: to see the future. The future is going to cost
- 26:17Speaker 1: you everything. Mr. X is whatever success looks like for you. Mr.
- 26:22Speaker 2: X is a portrait, a picture, an example of whatever
- 26:27Speaker 2: it is success means to you. And I want to
- 26:30Speaker 2: be the first to tell you, if you didn't know,
- 26:34Speaker 2: The elevator doesn't go to the top. You cannot take
- 26:37Speaker 2: the elevator to the top. You might get to the
- 26:40Speaker 2: 20th floor, you might get to the 30th floor, but
- 26:43Speaker 2: you're not going to get to the 40th.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Floor or whatever floor your success is on taking the elevator.
- 26:50Speaker 1: At some point in time, you're going to have to
- 26:52Speaker 1: take the stairs.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And so the moment that you start to take the stairs, boom,
- 26:57Speaker 2: that's when the adversity hits. You gotta be willing to
- 27:00Speaker 2: take some no's. You have to be willing to get rejected.
- 27:03Speaker 2: You have to be willing for people to lie on you.
- 27:05Speaker 2: You have to be willing to be dragged through the
- 27:08Speaker 2: mud and through murky water. You can't take the elevator
- 27:10Speaker 2: to the top. At some point, you gotta take the stairs.
- 27:15Speaker 2: And when you take the stairs, you're going to learn
- 27:17Speaker 2: a lesson that the elevator could never teach you.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Rejection does something to you. Hardship does something to you.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Conflict does something to you.
- 27:27Speaker 2: The elevator can't teach you the lesson that the stairwell
- 27:30Speaker 2: teaches you. But I bet you this, by the time
- 27:33Speaker 2: you get to that 40th floor, by the time you
- 27:36Speaker 2: shake the hand of Mr. X, you will be prepared
- 27:40Speaker 2: to sustain what.
- 27:42Speaker 1: You work for. Everybody always talks about getting to the top.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Everybody always talks about going after their dream. But nobody
- 27:50Speaker 1: talks about retention, retention, retention.
- 27:53Speaker 2: And the work that is required not only to get there,
- 27:57Speaker 2: but to stay there and go to the next level.
- 28:00Speaker 2: And so the mentality you're going to have to have
- 28:03Speaker 2: if you're going to win, if you're going to conquer
- 28:05Speaker 2: your day, conquer your week, if.
- 28:08Speaker 1: You're going to win the year, I need you to
- 28:11Speaker 1: remember that talent... Does.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Not win championships, work ethic does. Here's the mentality you're
- 28:20Speaker 2: going to need. That nobody's going to outwork you. I'm sorry,
- 28:23Speaker 2: I love you, but you're not going to outwork me.
- 28:25Speaker 2: I'm with you, but you're not going to outwork me.
- 28:27Speaker 2: We're connected, but you're not going to outwork me. We
- 28:30Speaker 2: can dream together, we can lean in together, but you're
- 28:32Speaker 2: not going to outwork me.
- 28:34Speaker 1: We may be in the same class, but you're not
- 28:35Speaker 1: going to outwork me.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Number one, I need you to have the made up
- 28:39Speaker 2: and fully persuaded mind that nobody.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's going to outwork you.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Stop sitting around moping and complaining and waiting for somebody
- 28:49Speaker 2: to connect the.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Dots for you. Put the work in and take the
- 28:53Speaker 1: stairs to the top. Ask yourself the question, what are
- 28:57Speaker 1: you known for?
- 29:00Speaker 2: I need you to become notorious for service, notorious for
- 29:04Speaker 2: work ethic, notorious for finishing what you start. You got
- 29:08Speaker 2: to be willing to lose sleep to go after this dream.
- 29:11Speaker 2: You have to be willing to lose sleep to graduate.
- 29:13Speaker 2: You have to be willing to lose sleep to pass
- 29:16Speaker 2: the exam. I need you to have a whatever it
- 29:18Speaker 2: takes mentality. If you want to win, you're going to
- 29:22Speaker 2: have to get upset sometimes. And I'm not talking about
- 29:25Speaker 2: a non-productive anger. I'm talking about a massively productive disappointment.
- 29:29Speaker 2: You're going to have to get disappointed sometimes with where
- 29:33Speaker 2: you are. This is what I like to call proactive disappointment.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I'm upset with where I am.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm upset. with what I have not accomplished. I'm upset
- 29:42Speaker 1: at every time I've allowed myself to be distracted. Get upset.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Get disappointed with yourself.
- 29:48Speaker 2: You're upset with the moments in your life where you
- 29:50Speaker 2: allowed yourself to sink into depression, where you allowed yourself
- 29:54Speaker 2: to become distracted.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Get upset.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Get flat out mad about where you are. Don't get
- 30:00Speaker 2: mad to quit.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Get mad to keep going. That's the problem is.
- 30:04Speaker 2: That you have to rewire and redirect your anger. I'm
- 30:09Speaker 2: not going to be upset and quit. I'm going to
- 30:11Speaker 2: get mad and stay in it. From this moment on,
- 30:14Speaker 2: I need you to give it everything you have. Show
- 30:17Speaker 2: up and play at the highest level of yourself every
- 30:20Speaker 2: single time. If you're going to put the work in,
- 30:24Speaker 2: if you're going to give it everything you have, all
- 30:26Speaker 2: the blood, all the sweat, all the tears, give it.
- 30:29Speaker 1: A thousand percent.
- 30:30Speaker 2: This is the only way you are going to make
- 30:32Speaker 2: it to the top. You're going to have stairs called confusion.
- 30:36Speaker 2: You're going to have stairs called rejection. You're going to
- 30:38Speaker 2: have stairs called misunderstanding, but keep climbing. You're going to
- 30:43Speaker 2: have sabotage and betrayal and people are going to lie
- 30:46Speaker 2: to you and people are going to give up on
- 30:48Speaker 2: you and people are going to write you off.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Before you get to the 40th floor, people will write
- 30:54Speaker 2: you off. People will count you out.
- 30:57Speaker 1: But I need you to.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Climb every stair, every obstacle that stands in your way
- 31:03Speaker 2: because when you get to the top, you're going to
- 31:06Speaker 2: meet Mr. X. And after you meet that ex, there's
- 31:10Speaker 2: going to be another ex. Whatever your ex is, define
- 31:13Speaker 2: your ex. You've got to be willing to be punctual.
- 31:16Speaker 2: You have to be disciplined. You've got to be the
- 31:18Speaker 2: first to get there and the last to leave. You
- 31:21Speaker 2: have to invest your time wisely. I need you to
- 31:24Speaker 2: maintain a balanced lifestyle. You have to develop a hunger
- 31:28Speaker 2: for mentorship. You need to develop a hunger for wisdom.
- 31:32Speaker 2: You need to develop a thirst for correction and constructive analysis.
- 31:37Speaker 2: You need to stop having a problem with being corrected.
- 31:40Speaker 2: So my budget for empowerment and education.
- 31:45Speaker 9: Must exceed my budget for entertainment. You may be discouraged,
- 31:49Speaker 9: but work. You may be tired, but work. You may
- 31:53Speaker 9: be overwhelmed, but work. People may have doubted you. People
- 31:57Speaker 9: may have written you off, but work. You may not
- 32:01Speaker 9: feel qualified, but work. You may feel underestimated, overlooked, and undervalued,
- 32:07Speaker 9: but work. If you want to win, you have to work.
- 32:12Speaker 9: You got to work with tears in your eyes.
- 32:14Speaker 2: You got to work when nobody understands why you're working
- 32:17Speaker 2: so hard.
- 32:18Speaker 1: You got to work when you don't feel like it.
- 32:21Speaker 2: And one of the things I need you to do
- 32:23Speaker 2: from this moment forward is to get out of your feelings.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Because if you only work when you feel like.
- 32:30Speaker 2: It, you won't get much done. Destiny is not about
- 32:34Speaker 2: how you feel. Destiny is what you're called to do.
- 32:39Speaker 2: It's what you are anointed to do. It's what you
- 32:42Speaker 2: are assigned to do. It is an appointment that none
- 32:45Speaker 2: of us can afford to miss. Accept the fact, whatever
- 32:49Speaker 2: you're going to accomplish, it is going to require hard work.
- 33:01Speaker 1: You So, Thank you.
