- 0:00Speaker 1: We get it, we get it, You're really intense. Whoopedie shit.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's one more thing.
- 0:09Speaker 2: In the introduction, will not stand.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna start saying that.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Well, that's now with the dogs lying down with cats
- 0:18Speaker 2: snarchy in the streets.
- 0:19Speaker 1: That's funny. I had lived that last millisecond. I just
- 0:22Speaker 1: popped into my head because I said it the other
- 0:24Speaker 1: day and my son laughed. He said, was that I
- 0:26Speaker 1: said some of my dad said all the time? Or
- 0:28Speaker 1: early whoopedie shit. Gosh, I'm gonna use that all the time. Yeah,
- 0:34Speaker 1: that's the very eighties.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Is that my dad?
- 0:37Speaker 1: I don't remember what it was, but my dad used
- 0:38Speaker 1: to always he still said it, you know, whoop shit.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh, that is a very funny expression.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Had never struck me.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Neither.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I've heard it so many times and not reacted to it.
- 0:52Speaker 1: When I said it, just out of nowhere reflexively, my
- 0:55Speaker 1: son thought it was hilarious. Oh that is just that's great.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So my intro. We get it, we get it, you're
- 1:03Speaker 1: really intense. I was gonna complain about certain kinds of
- 1:07Speaker 1: people that go to the gym, and I gave Katie
- 1:10Speaker 1: the heads up on this because she's a regular Jim
- 1:13Speaker 1: Rat herself all of them. Do you have me? Yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 1: do you have any particulars that stand out before I
- 1:17Speaker 1: get to my main kind of person at the gym
- 1:20Speaker 1: that I ate?
- 1:21Speaker 3: Well, so I take a class I'm in. I'm in
- 1:24Speaker 3: what's called a high intensity interval training class. So there's
- 1:27Speaker 3: like ten to fifteen of us in a room doing
- 1:29Speaker 3: these workouts, and there's this one guy that gets way.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Too close every class. Is that a coming on to
- 1:38Speaker 1: you sort of thing?
- 1:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I wasn't assuming so at first, but it's been a
- 1:44Speaker 3: consistent thing. So either it's a coming on to me
- 1:46Speaker 3: thing or he's just really obnoxious and oblivious to it.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Because he he is.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I always have to check like my bubble around me
- 1:54Speaker 3: to make sure I'm not gonna hit him because he's
- 1:56Speaker 3: that close.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's that's That's probably the number one complaint
- 2:01Speaker 1: of most women at Jim's. Isn't it that guys hitting
- 2:04Speaker 1: on them? It's like, leave me.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Alone, or the people that talk to you when you
- 2:07Speaker 3: have your headphones in, like I have these in because
- 2:10Speaker 3: I don't want to talk to you.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the one of the problems now with Jim's
- 2:13Speaker 1: is everybody has an earbuddy, and including me, and uh
- 2:17Speaker 1: so you can't say are you done with that or
- 2:20Speaker 1: even like that because nobody, nobody can listen to anybody.
- 2:23Speaker 1: It does keep people from I think it keeps the
- 2:25Speaker 1: girls safe from conversation because they all have earbuds in.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's like very clearly you wouldn't be able to walk
- 2:31Speaker 1: up and start a conversation. I never would anyway. Man,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I go out of my way, like there's go over there,
- 2:34Speaker 1: turn my head that way. I want to make sure
- 2:36Speaker 1: nobody thinks I'm looking at them. I'm not talking to them.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I'm not going to be that guy. Yes, Michael, No,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I get.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Stuck next to the person that has a phone conversation
- 2:44Speaker 4: with her ear you know, like a cell phone conversation.
- 2:47Speaker 4: They start to have a out loud conversation. I want
- 2:50Speaker 4: to join into the conversation.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You know, I'm right next to you.
- 2:54Speaker 2: That's the only way to come back at Michael. Tell them, Hey,
- 2:57Speaker 2: tell them, I say Hi.
- 3:01Speaker 3: If you're on the phone at the gym, you're not
- 3:02Speaker 3: working nearly hard enough.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Well. Yeah, so I'm a regular at the gym now
- 3:08Speaker 1: for like the last six months since I moved because
- 3:10Speaker 1: I got a gym membership with this place I live,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and I hadn't been a regular in a gym for
- 3:17Speaker 1: not a regular for like thirty years, so it's been
- 3:19Speaker 1: a long time. Pretty cell phone era. Now they got
- 3:22Speaker 1: signs everywhere. You know, don't sit there staring at your
- 3:26Speaker 1: phone on the equipment blah blah blah blah blah, because
- 3:29Speaker 1: I see that happened all the time. People do a set,
- 3:33Speaker 1: then they start scrolling and they don't realize ten minutes
- 3:37Speaker 1: has gone by before they get back to their second set. Yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: you're not working out hard enough. If you've got time
- 3:41Speaker 1: to do that, you're not serious. Get the hell out
- 3:45Speaker 1: the way. I actually texted a buddy of mine who's
- 3:49Speaker 1: like super hardcore into working out all the time. My
- 3:52Speaker 1: main complaint I'm going to get to in a second,
- 3:53Speaker 1: but he said he hates puts too much weight, stacks
- 3:58Speaker 1: too much weight on there and can't actually live. Guy.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I don't know why that bothers him. That is kind
- 4:05Speaker 1: of funny. There is a super ripped guy at the
- 4:09Speaker 1: gym I was noticing the other day, and he does
- 4:11Speaker 1: about the lightest weights of anybody in there, but his
- 4:14Speaker 1: form is perfect, And I thought all these other muscleheads
- 4:18Speaker 1: should look at him. They're trying to because they got
- 4:20Speaker 1: to show how much they're doing. But they're like swinging
- 4:22Speaker 1: their body around, which is not, you know, isolating the
- 4:26Speaker 1: muscle you're trying to wear. But this guy who uses
- 4:28Speaker 1: a lightweight, he is so perfect with this technique and
- 4:31Speaker 1: he's really ripped. So I think that's the key. But
- 4:34Speaker 1: younger guys like to show how much they can lift.
- 4:36Speaker 1: But here's here's my least favorite guy that I wanted
- 4:38Speaker 1: to bring up this topic for the slams the weights
- 4:42Speaker 1: down guy to show how freaking intense you are. I
- 4:46Speaker 1: guess all the time. No, no, that that lifetime ban
- 4:49Speaker 1: I know. And this gym I go to, it's a
- 4:52Speaker 1: private gym, and they've got signs up that say do
- 4:56Speaker 1: not slam the weights. They didn't have those signs until
- 4:58Speaker 1: like a week ago, and and he's new. I think
- 5:01Speaker 1: those signs are aimed surely at him. It has not
- 5:04Speaker 1: worked at all because I've seen I saw him in
- 5:06Speaker 1: the gym again last night, and I don't think anybody's
- 5:09Speaker 1: got the guts to go up to him and say, hey,
- 5:11Speaker 1: could you not slam those weights down? Because he looks
- 5:13Speaker 1: like he would attack you and punch you in the
- 5:16Speaker 1: face if you said anything to him. He's just so intense. Yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and he stomps around and he lifts hey, he drops
- 5:23Speaker 1: him on the floor, bang bang klang, and everybody jerks
- 5:25Speaker 1: like you know, because you get startled when you hear
- 5:27Speaker 1: a loud noise like that. Oh, which is so uncomfortable
- 5:30Speaker 1: being around him. But amin tense. You puss his art
- 5:33Speaker 1: in tents? Amit tents?
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah, you get kicked out of You'll get kicked out
- 5:36Speaker 3: of Planet Fitness for that.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Really good for you. You're so freaking intense, you weirdo.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Quit slamming the weights around. Geez, we get it. You
- 5:44Speaker 1: care about being tough guy or something. You lift a
- 5:47Speaker 1: lot that need Yeah, neat exactly, hippy whoopedy shit. I
- 5:52Speaker 1: would say shit guy, but he just says it every time.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And it's it's more just like I don't like big
- 6:00Speaker 1: loud noises, right, yes, sudden loud noises.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they're kind of annoying.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Yeah, there's always that guy that makes extra loud noises
- 6:07Speaker 4: just so everybody looks over at him.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a combination of his grunting and he's dropping
- 6:14Speaker 1: boom all right, all right, all right, we get it.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Can you go to some he man women haters club
- 6:23Speaker 1: gym where you all strut around about how cool and
- 6:26Speaker 1: testosterone laden you are and I don't know what you do,
- 6:29Speaker 1: count your chest hairs or do something, but go a
- 6:31Speaker 1: different gym. Oh he's totally shaved, but anyway, Oh yeah
- 6:34Speaker 1: he is.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Actually call it A holes. Yeah, just you know, and
- 6:38Speaker 2: have the the O of the hole be a plate
- 6:41Speaker 2: on a bar bell A holes. The big guy lifting
- 6:45Speaker 2: it'll form the own.
- 6:47Speaker 1: That's awesome. Have a gym called A holes and you
- 6:49Speaker 1: like encourage that sort of thing. And everybody wears the
- 6:53Speaker 1: tank top with the big loops so you see their
- 6:55Speaker 1: entire body. They all have. That's the uniform that comes
- 6:58Speaker 1: at the A Hole gym.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Right, and they're all gonna hit on the first woman
- 7:02Speaker 2: who walks in. Everyone never will because you know it's
- 7:05Speaker 2: right there on the sign.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Lots of mirrors, lots of posing in the mirrors.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Oh the level of douchebag you guys just described. Oh yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: he's he's big giant loop tank top thingy where you're
- 7:17Speaker 1: practically shirtless.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Right right, And if somebody doesn't drop the weights, the
- 7:21Speaker 2: other guys have come over here.
- 7:22Speaker 1: What the hell's the matter with you?
- 7:23Speaker 4: Man?
- 7:24Speaker 1: You gotta drop those waiters. You don't seem intense. Are
- 7:29Speaker 1: you not in tense? Whatever? God, Jim sounds like my hell,
- 7:34Speaker 1: whoopedie shit is the answer to that, Well, I guess
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's it.
