- Lucas: Luna, welcome back to Learn Norwegian with Fexingo! We're at episode 150 — that's a big number. Luna: Yeah, it feels like we just started! I can't believe we've done 150 of these. Lucas: And if Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Norwegian, we'd love your support to keep these episodes ad-free. You can find us at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. It's a simple way to say thanks and keep the show going. Luna: Absolutely. We love making this, and every little bit helps. Okay, back to Norwegian! What are we learning today? Lucas: Today we're diving into another essential verb: 'å gjøre' — to do. It's super common. Luna: Å gjøre. I think I've heard that before. Let me try: å gjøre. Lucas: Perfect. Now, a basic question: 'hva gjør du?' — what are you doing? Luna: Hva gjør du? So that's 'what do you do' or 'what are you doing'? Lucas: Exactly. It can be either, depending on context. Repeat after me: hva gjør du? Luna: Hva gjør du? Lucas: Yes! Now, a common answer: 'jeg gjør lekser' — I do homework. Luna: Jeg gjør lekser. So 'lekser' is homework? Lucas: Right. Lekser. Let's say it together: jeg gjør lekser. Luna: Jeg gjør lekser. I can picture using that when I'm studying. Lucas: Good. Another useful one: 'hva gjør du i morgen?' — what are you doing tomorrow? Luna: Hva gjør du i morgen? That's great for making plans. Let me try: hva gjør du i morgen? Lucas: Perfect. Now let's practice a mini conversation. I'll ask you: hva gjør du? Luna: Jeg gjør lekser. Og du? Lucas: Oh, good follow-up! I'd say: jeg gjør lekser også. We both have homework. Luna: Aww, we're studying together. So 'også' means 'too' or 'also'? Lucas: Exactly. Now, let's switch it up. Luna, ask me: hva gjør du i morgen? Luna: Hva gjør du i morgen? Lucas: Jeg gjør ingenting. I'm doing nothing. Sometimes that's nice. Luna: Jeg gjør ingenting — that's 'I do nothing'. I love that. Lucas: Let's hear you say the whole phrase: jeg gjør ingenting. Luna: Jeg gjør ingenting. Okay, I'm nailing this one. Lucas: You are. Now, let's do a story. Imagine you're at home, and I call you. I say: hei, hva gjør du? Luna: Jeg gjør lekser. Hva med deg? Lucas: Jeg gjør ingenting. Vil du gå på kino? Luna: Ja, det vil jeg! So 'vil du' is 'do you want to'? Lucas: Right. 'Vil du gå på kino?' — do you want to go to the cinema? Great response. Luna: This is so useful. I can actually use this with my friends. Lucas: Yes. And remember the verb: å gjøre. Let's review the phrases one more time. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: First: hva gjør du? Luna: Hva gjør du? Lucas: Jeg gjør lekser. Luna: Jeg gjør lekser. Lucas: Hva gjør du i morgen? Luna: Hva gjør du i morgen? Lucas: And the verb itself: å gjøre. Luna: Å gjøre. Got it. Lucas: Perfect. Thanks for joining us for episode 150. Practice these phrases, and we'll see you next time on Learn Norwegian with Fexingo! Luna: Yeah, keep practicing, and we'll chat again soon. Ha det bra!
