- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Honorable mention here with the uh two-sentence horror story.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: This one comes from Suzette.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: In a Zoom meeting, I turned uh off my video to reach into my bra to adjust the girls, but I pressed the mute button rather than the video button.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Humongous, hungalongga, no no logongus.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Adjust my girls.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: I hate that so much.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: And it's so funny because when I was just on a Zoom, we had a corporate Zoom meeting yesterday.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: And I was Did you dump them out?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I was I I dumped them out, yes.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: No, I was looking because everyone starts asking questions and talking and da-da-da-da.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: So I'm looking to make sure that I didn't have the microphone to be like, oh my god, another question.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Because being in a Zoom meeting in this company, let me tell you what it's like.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: It's like when you were in school and you were a young kid, and there was that one kid at the end of the class that was like, teacher, you forgot to give us some homework.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: I want to be like, shut the poop up.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Good asking questions.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: How about you just try to learn the software and figure it out for yourself?
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: I thought you were gonna say being on a Zoom call with this meeting is like doing a Zoom call with a nursing home and they have no idea how to stop the VCR from breaking blinking 12.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, that is also push that button right there.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: People just ask so many questions without just trying it.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, or listening.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Or listening.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Or listening.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Well, listen to this.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: This is a cheating situation, but you might be on the per on the side of the person who wants to steal the woman.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Here it is.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: So I'm thinking of stealing someone's girlfriend.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Hear me out.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: About a month ago, I met a woman at a diner in town.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: We'll just say, well, we're gonna avoid the town.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Uh she had just moved here with her boyfriend.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: She's from a larger city.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I'm in sort.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: I'm I I'm in a more rural area.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: We were both sitting at the bar eating lunch, and I started talking to her.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I told her, Yeah, I grew up here.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: She asked me all kind of kinds of questions about what it's like to grow up here in the Twin Tiers.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Then she started talking about herself.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: After listening to her, I could tell she was trapped.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: She had just moved here from larger city with her boyfriend and was almost completely dependent on him, money and otherwise.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: She said that she and her boyfriend hadn't been together that long, but they were very passionate at first, and she felt it was true love.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: But now she just feels like a possession.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Anyway, we met up a few more times over the past month.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: She came out to my little horse farm, played with my dogs and the horses for a couple hours.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: She checks her text messages and she just says, I gotta go, jumps in the car, races off.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Here's my question.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I want her to leave her boyfriend.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I'm falling for her.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Should I tell her next time I see her, or should I just wait for her to take it to the next level?
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: There's a third thing here.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: I think the honorable thing that you need to do is if you really feel this way, um, you you can plant a seed, but at the same time, don't go further than that.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: It's the disrespectful thing to do because I mean, now you're you're gonna become somebody that it's just not the right place to do it.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: If you I think the honorable thing to do, uh-huh, and honestly, this could shove her in a certain direction, you should say, listen, um, you've got your own stuff you gotta work out.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Uh, if things change, I want you to call me.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Until that happens.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: You're ripping this off like a band-aid?
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Until that happens, she has no one else.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: It doesn't matter.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: The point to it is, is, is she may have, you know, she may have these feelings where she's not getting acclimated well and for some reason is connecting with the the person you're sharing this story from.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: But the reality to it is you're a scumbag if you try to break them up.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: I I I see where he thinks that she is trapped, and I don't want him to be the rebound, but I also may or may not have been accused of in the past of having a little bit of a savior complex, and I want to save everyone.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: So, so there's this part of me that feels like he really needs to plant the seed because she if she's trapped, she really does feel like she has nowhere to go.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But this guy, this guy could be her way out and a place for her to go in a place that she doesn't know anyone.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Or it could be a rebound.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Keep in mind, it's not like it's an abusive situation, they're just not, you know, she's not controlling.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, it probably feels a certain until she gets established and can do, you know, her thing, and it will because then it won't feel the same.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Keep in mind, this person just moved here, has a very limited, if any, friend circle.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Sure, they're all connected to the guy she moved here with.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Um, she she may have left a job and said bigger city to move here with him, and it doesn't have her legs underneath her yet.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: So there's a whole lot of initial emotions that if it was six months from now might be a completely different story.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: I think the the honorable thing to do in this case is literally you're in a relationship.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: I've really enjoyed the time that we've uh, you know, hung out and stuff like that, but I don't think it's the right thing to do until you decide what you want.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: I understand that, but shouldn't he at least say, I'm catching feelings for you?
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: No.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, I feel like he should.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: No, I don't think he should.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: I think because then you're pushing, you're pushing the point.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: And you're I'm trying to do this in a way where I'm trying to save you with my love.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: It's not saving, though, because she's she's too new into it.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: And you know, how do we know things won't get better for her and the guy that she moved here with?
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: That was a big commitment.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: That they will get past the bumps in the road?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Now they may not.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: I don't think they will.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: They may not, but I think the honorable thing to do is you need to be the one to stand up and be like you don't even need to say this.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: In your head, this is what's happening.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Um, you need to basically be the one to be like, there's something maybe developing here, but I don't necessarily know that it's right.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Because you're you're you're in you've got something going on.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: So when you figure that one out, let me know.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: And you know.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: So what do you guys think?
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Do you think that he should go in and swoop, steal the girlfriend, or like sa Scott is saying, definitely just drop it, rip it off like a banter.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know that it's a total drop.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: You're almost you're I feel like you're dropping it.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: You're kind of just sitting there going, You gotta figure this out before you and I can even think about something.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: We need to start clean.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
