Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with iHeartRadio. Welcome back
- 0:05Speaker 1: to Almost Famous. It's Ben and Lauren back together to
- 0:08Speaker 1: recap another episode of the ultimate girls trip.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Girls trip. It's getting fun.
- 0:14Speaker 1: That should be like how we enter the podcast.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Girls trip.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Yay.
- 0:20Speaker 1: This week, the women are in Miami. Vicky went from
- 0:22Speaker 1: constipated to whooping it up, as they say. Luann can't
- 0:27Speaker 1: stop flirting. Got a lot to talk to Lauren about
- 0:30Speaker 1: when it comes to Luann. Kyle's rolling her eyes, and
- 0:34Speaker 1: Giselle and Portia still aren't over Lisa's late entrance on
- 0:39Speaker 1: the bus. Let's break it down here. Lauren, do you
- 0:43Speaker 1: poop when you travel? No.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I do. I honestly have great bowel movements, got
- 0:48Speaker 2: to be honest. What about you?
- 0:51Speaker 1: I struggle, so I bring some probiotics with me.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Because it can get ugly, and sometimes it can't. It's
- 0:59Speaker 1: just kind of like it's a guessing game for me.
- 1:02Speaker 1: The reason I ask is because, obviously, Vicky is struggling
- 1:06Speaker 1: with And so she decides to not only take two laxatives,
- 1:10Speaker 1: also mix that with some fiber. And we kind of
- 1:14Speaker 1: come into this beach day. You know, when I think
- 1:17Speaker 1: about a beach day with a bunch of women, Lauren,
- 1:20Speaker 1: it's like, hey, this is where you kind of like
- 1:22Speaker 1: get sexy, showing off the bods, laying out, getting some sun,
- 1:27Speaker 1: probably like, you know, a lot of these women are single,
- 1:30Speaker 1: so they're going to be flirting. And Vicky just can't
- 1:33Speaker 1: stop pooping herself.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, this wasn't a very sexy time. And Vicky's sound
- 1:39Speaker 2: effect for the amount of poop that is coming out
- 1:41Speaker 2: was so, like, real. It was so yucky. But then
- 1:45Speaker 2: you saw flashbacks to other housewives that had pooping issues
- 1:50Speaker 2: from New York, mostly. Mostly the New York ladies. And Sonia,
- 1:54Speaker 2: I will always remember that she, like... went to poop
- 1:58Speaker 2: and she accidentally pooped all over the floor. I'm like,
- 2:00Speaker 2: how does that even happen?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah. How does that happen? And they showed it, which
- 2:04Speaker 1: is kind of gross. Like it's, it's gross to me. I, I,
- 2:07Speaker 1: no matter how many times it happens in my life
- 2:10Speaker 1: that I get pooped on by my daughter, by the way, just,
- 2:13Speaker 1: just to be clear. Um, it, it still grosses me out.
- 2:18Speaker 1: The idea of seeing it and they show it like I,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I have a visual now of the consistency of her
- 2:25Speaker 1: bowel movement.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. And, I think it was like a reoccurring
- 2:29Speaker 2: theme for her. I think something's going on. Even when
- 2:33Speaker 2: I see a public bathroom and I see poop on,
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm like, how does that even happen? The logistics of
- 2:37Speaker 2: how that happens. I don't understand. But yeah, Vicky's having
- 2:41Speaker 2: a hard time, but I'm glad that she feels comfortable
- 2:44Speaker 2: enough with these women to talk about her bowel movements.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Kyle is the one that says it where they
- 2:49Speaker 1: just don't talk about it in Beverly Hills. I'm not
- 2:52Speaker 1: surprised by that necessarily. There's a lot that I could,
- 2:55Speaker 1: assume goes into not talking about this because girls don't
- 2:59Speaker 1: poop in the Beverly Hills. But it was interesting to
- 3:04Speaker 1: me when they did do the montage of how many
- 3:07Speaker 1: conversations about bowel movements and the human discretion exist on
- 3:14Speaker 1: the housewives. It feels like something that would not be
- 3:16Speaker 1: talked about to me.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it was all like New York. I feel like
- 3:21Speaker 2: maybe New Yorkers are more open about everything. So they're
- 3:25Speaker 2: going to be open about it rather than like the
- 3:28Speaker 2: reserved OC Salt Lake City, Beverly Hills. And I think
- 3:36Speaker 2: the girls in New York were like actually really close.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So I think they also felt more comfortable to say
- 3:41Speaker 2: it rather than just being like proper ladies thrown together.
- 3:44Speaker 2: So they feel comfortable talking about it with each other.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not like it's not, you know, it's obviously
- 3:50Speaker 1: low hanging fruit. We can make a bunch of like
- 3:52Speaker 1: potty jokes on here and we would giggle and nobody
- 3:55Speaker 1: would think you're that funny or that we were that clever. Right.
- 3:57Speaker 1: It's not really a conversation I mind having if it's
- 4:01Speaker 1: brought up and I know somebody's interested. I do a
- 4:04Speaker 1: lot of trips in the course of a year and
- 4:06Speaker 1: bring a lot of people to Central America.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And it is always a conversation that somebody asks me
- 4:13Speaker 1: why we go down there. If they're a 22-year-old college
- 4:15Speaker 1: student and she's like, hey, how do I make this happen?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Where can I go? We're in the middle of nowhere.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Or if it's somebody in their 60s who's like, hey,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm having trouble. Do you have anything I can use?
- 4:27Speaker 1: It's not uncommon to have these conversations. As adults, we
- 4:30Speaker 1: should be having them. I just found it to be
- 4:33Speaker 1: a lot. And then I started to feel bad for
- 4:35Speaker 1: Vicky because here's the thing. She had a rough night,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know. Last night or the last episode, she had
- 4:41Speaker 1: to leave early. She wasn't feeling well. I believe her
- 4:45Speaker 1: on that, I think. But now she has to go
- 4:48Speaker 1: to the beach. And I can't imagine a worse scenario
- 4:53Speaker 1: than the hot, sandy beach in a bathing suit while
- 4:56Speaker 1: at the same time you're not feeling good.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So true. But she really pulls it together this episode.
- 5:01Speaker 2: And she has a great time. We see whooping it
- 5:04Speaker 2: up Vickie. And as she says, you can't bring the
- 5:07Speaker 2: whoop it out out of someone. You have to just
- 5:09Speaker 2: be in the mood to whoop it up. And I
- 5:11Speaker 2: couldn't agree more. You know, when people are like, come on,
- 5:14Speaker 2: have another drink. Like we said last episode, you can't
- 5:17Speaker 2: make me have a good time if I've already stopped
- 5:19Speaker 2: having a good time. So she kind of shows us her,
- 5:22Speaker 2: her personally coming out at the beach. She has lots
- 5:25Speaker 2: of tequila that will do it for anyone pretty much.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah. But yeah.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But do you think the pooping situation, like people don't
- 5:32Speaker 2: poop on vacation or when they're out because it's what
- 5:34Speaker 2: they're eating.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I think it's a mixture of eating. I imagine for myself,
- 5:39Speaker 1: it's the comfort, like it's the routine of like knowing
- 5:43Speaker 1: where I'm at, you know, where I'm going to be.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I think new environments, I am kind of a germaphobe
- 5:50Speaker 1: when it comes to this stuff. So like at the airport,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you know, I'm like double or I'm putting those like
- 5:57Speaker 1: toilet seat like covers on.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I know I have some friends who are like, I
- 6:01Speaker 1: don't care. I'm like, I definitely care.
- 6:03Speaker 2: At the airport, 100%. These people are coming from everywhere,
- 6:06Speaker 2: carrying everything. Yes, at the airport, I'm definitely using the paper.
- 6:10Speaker 2: But I'm not really shy about that shit.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I think it's a little anxiety. I think it's just
- 6:14Speaker 1: enough anxiety to cause the body to say, nope, not happening.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And during a filming of a show, I'm assuming there
- 6:24Speaker 1: is anxiety. And you're traveling all the time. You're in
- 6:27Speaker 1: new places. You're eating new things. You're not staying hydrated anymore.
- 6:31Speaker 1: That's another issue I think on TV shows is you're
- 6:33Speaker 1: not chugging water like you do in the course of
- 6:35Speaker 1: a normal day.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Dude, so true.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:38Speaker 1: There's a lot to it. But we kind of get
- 6:40Speaker 1: over this whole scene and then we flash back to
- 6:43Speaker 1: the hotel. We get to see Lisa and Teresa sitting together.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Lisa is trying hard. I think she knows she messed up, Lauren.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Like messed up by being late. It was another reason
- 6:58Speaker 1: for people to get mad at her. But, and I
- 7:02Speaker 1: think the show wanted to show it this way, but
- 7:05Speaker 1: she comes off very earnest to Teresa, to me, like
- 7:08Speaker 1: trying really hard.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:10Speaker 2: And even the producer asked her, like, do you realize
- 7:12Speaker 2: that she's pumping your tires this whole time? And I think,
- 7:15Speaker 2: cause she knows like Teresa, it will ride for her.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And it is like kind of uncomfortable. It's kind of
- 7:24Speaker 2: like watching someone suck up to the popular girl in
- 7:27Speaker 2: high school and But then after that was brought up,
- 7:31Speaker 2: I started noticing that Lisa gives compliments to everyone. Like
- 7:35Speaker 2: even when we go see her meet up with Miami girls, like, oh,
- 7:38Speaker 2: you'd be a great lawyer. Oh, you look amazing. And
- 7:41Speaker 2: it's just like, it's kind of like a nervous thing,
- 7:44Speaker 2: which is a very good quality to be a nervous
- 7:47Speaker 2: quality is to compliment people, but it does get a
- 7:49Speaker 2: little bit awkward.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right. It's a great quality to have, but
- 7:54Speaker 1: it also, if somebody's giving me too many compliments... I
- 7:59Speaker 1: start to ask internally, what are you hiding from me? Like,
- 8:04Speaker 1: why are you just being nice to me? Like, there's
- 8:07Speaker 1: no human that just sits down and says, wow, Ben,
- 8:09Speaker 1: you're this, this, this, this, this, this, this. I would say, hey, like,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you don't actually think I'm, like, what do you not
- 8:15Speaker 1: like about me? What is annoying you about me? Like,
- 8:17Speaker 1: tell me, I'd rather us be real here than I
- 8:20Speaker 1: would walk away from this just feeling like you lied,
- 8:23Speaker 1: or not lied. I think she's probably being Truthful. She's
- 8:27Speaker 1: trying hard, Lauren. She feels like she needs to make friends.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yes, she needs friends.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:34Speaker 2: She needs friends. She's not used to it on her season,
- 8:38Speaker 2: so she's like, I better have these girls like me,
- 8:40Speaker 2: especially with this new Salt Lake City season, I guess,
- 8:46Speaker 2: ramping up, that she needs to keep everyone on her
- 8:50Speaker 2: good side, pumping the tires.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I might have to watch... salt lake city now because
- 8:55Speaker 1: i want to see how this all plays out because
- 8:56Speaker 1: it feels like right now there's no getting better it's
- 9:00Speaker 1: only getting worse by this road trip and there is
- 9:05Speaker 1: a big disconnect between the salt lake city cast and
- 9:10Speaker 1: lisa right now and so i kind of want to
- 9:11Speaker 1: watch how it plays out.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I know because i know nothing all i know is
- 9:14Speaker 2: lisa from right now what do you think elisa I
- 9:19Speaker 2: like her. I like her. I see nothing wrong. I mean, yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 2: so she was late to the bus, which Giselle brings
- 9:24Speaker 2: up again. And Giselle, again, is the person that is like, oh,
- 9:29Speaker 2: you want me to start? Let me just bring it up.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Out of absolutely nowhere. We see them at lunch. And
- 9:35Speaker 2: they're like, I have another thing to say. If you
- 9:37Speaker 2: just apologize right away, it would be no problem. And
- 9:41Speaker 2: then she's, and then Lisa's like, well, I'm burned by
- 9:45Speaker 2: my own season and my own cast. And I knew
- 9:47Speaker 2: that even if I apologized, nothing good would have come
- 9:50Speaker 2: of it. So I didn't really do it. But she's like,
- 9:53Speaker 2: now I'm learning that you guys are way more forgiving.
- 9:56Speaker 2: And I thought that was a great way to handle
- 9:58Speaker 2: it too. She was like, I'm not used to actual nice,
- 10:02Speaker 2: kind people. So I don't know. I kind of like Lisa.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I like the way she thinks that was bad move
- 10:07Speaker 2: being late. But other than that, I see nothing wrong. Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Still not a fan of the lateness. I don't know
- 10:11Speaker 1: if it would be something I would talk about the
- 10:13Speaker 1: next day. It doesn't, it felt disrespectful, but it doesn't
- 10:17Speaker 1: feel like, an issue worth harping on because it's done.
- 10:21Speaker 1: We're over it. Like there's no going back.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Giselle is a producer's dream.
- 10:25Speaker 4: So good.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Like talk about it.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 1: So good. He bring it up. Just hammer this thing
- 10:29Speaker 1: into the ground. Cause those fights. Uh, the ladies are
- 10:33Speaker 1: going to a beach party. They're visiting Miami and a
- 10:37Speaker 1: real housewife stars of Miami, Alexia and Marisol are hosting
- 10:41Speaker 1: the beach party. Uh, The ladies walk out to the beach,
- 10:45Speaker 1: and there's a whole setup with mannequins and bikinis and
- 10:49Speaker 1: men shirtless with neckties on. That seems to be a
- 10:52Speaker 1: theme on The Housewives.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Naked men?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, naked men.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. I mean, because you got all these single
- 11:01Speaker 2: perimenopausal menopausal women. Yeah. I'm looking for their next man.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And hopefully that one of them hooks up with one
- 11:09Speaker 2: of the men, because that'd be a great storyline. They
- 11:12Speaker 2: never really ended up do ending up do they never
- 11:15Speaker 2: end up do.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I think it made sense. It just didn't come out
- 11:19Speaker 1: the way you wanted it to.
- 11:20Speaker 2: They never end up doing that.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Okay. But Luann would be closest. She was trying. She's trying.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I don't think the men are biting.
- 11:30Speaker 1: What does a hookup like that even like entail? You're
- 11:33Speaker 1: on the beach. You start to flirt. You say, hey,
- 11:38Speaker 1: come back to the hotel.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 1: The guy does.
- 11:43Speaker 2: And that's it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And that's it.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And then you'll talk about it the next day in
- 11:47Speaker 2: your interview.
- 11:48Speaker 1: And you're like, hey, that was fun.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I guess you're right. There wouldn't really be much to
- 11:52Speaker 2: talk about. It's more of like the exchanging of the number,
- 11:55Speaker 2: being salacious, and then seeing them exiting the hotel room.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, Luann definitely is trying. She is it.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Just because she's like horned up or is it a
- 12:05Speaker 1: validation thing or what is it? You know her better
- 12:08Speaker 1: than me.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I think she just loves men. She wants the validation
- 12:12Speaker 2: from literally everyone. And she loves sex. She literally said
- 12:17Speaker 2: at lunch here that she wants to die having sex.
- 12:20Speaker 2: She loves it.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Let's move into that. Luann at lunch. I guess we'll
- 12:25Speaker 1: close the beach.
- 12:26Speaker 2: We'll close the beach scenario where they snatch wigs. That
- 12:29Speaker 2: would seem like a kind of fun game. Fun, but, like, pointless. Yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It didn't make a lot of sense to me. I
- 12:36Speaker 1: didn't like... It felt like a filler. Like, hey, girls,
- 12:39Speaker 1: this will be fun. Just, like, pull each other's hair.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Run around for a bit. Get competitive. It's fine.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It's fine. Yeah, well, I guess... closing out the wig
- 12:50Speaker 2: snatching scene, they go into like just conversations with Vicky
- 12:55Speaker 2: and how I guess Portia calls Vicky out for leaving
- 12:59Speaker 2: her alter ego party early. And then we already said
- 13:03Speaker 2: like Vicky was done. She was having a really awkward time.
- 13:07Speaker 2: And then Portia and Giselle are like, is it because
- 13:10Speaker 2: you weren't getting the same treatment as Nini? Yeah. And
- 13:13Speaker 2: it's like, I don't think that was it. I personally
- 13:16Speaker 2: don't think that was it. I think, yes, it was
- 13:18Speaker 2: a way more like over the top situation, but that's Atlanta.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Like Nene is over the top. Always has been. Even
- 13:25Speaker 2: people have never watched housewives knows that Nene leaks is
- 13:29Speaker 2: over the top. That's not the, that's not for Vicky.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I don't think she, Vicky was being sour because of that.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I think she was just awkward and she had no
- 13:37Speaker 2: one to talk to. Yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 1: It just felt like she was awkward. I mean, I
- 13:41Speaker 1: think that's the, she can say she didn't feel good.
- 13:44Speaker 1: She can say all those things. I think the best
- 13:46Speaker 1: excuse was, Hey, I just like, wasn't having a good time.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Like this was not my scene. Um, I didn't know
- 13:53Speaker 1: anybody wasn't having a good time. So I left. Do
- 13:57Speaker 1: I think it was the right move? I don't know. No. Uh,
- 13:59Speaker 1: am I like, on the Vicky train, not at all,
- 14:04Speaker 1: but I do understand leaving a party early. So as
- 14:07Speaker 1: I said last week, I'm all for, as soon as
- 14:10Speaker 1: you start to desire to leave, you leave because as
- 14:14Speaker 1: you said at the beginning, you can't whoop it up
- 14:17Speaker 1: by being forced to.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Absolutely. And Giselle says in her interview, she's like, you know,
- 14:24Speaker 2: I've just never met a housewife that isn't over their
- 14:26Speaker 2: top and isn't super confident. So like getting to know
- 14:30Speaker 2: Vicky is, That's new for me. She's like, I've never
- 14:33Speaker 2: met a housewife that leaves a party early that doesn't
- 14:35Speaker 2: want to be center of attention. So that started making
- 14:38Speaker 2: me think about Ashley being like, yeah, Ashley gets super
- 14:41Speaker 2: awkward at parties. She always is worried about her bunions
- 14:44Speaker 2: hurting and wanting to leave and being hungry and all
- 14:48Speaker 2: the things. So like if Giselle were to meet Ashley
- 14:51Speaker 2: in real life, she would probably think the same thing
- 14:54Speaker 2: about her that she does about Vicky, just like being
- 14:56Speaker 2: slightly uncomfortable and not being a classic housewife.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah, there's definitely some similarities between normal, like what we
- 15:03Speaker 1: imagine Housewives characters, and then some of those who have
- 15:09Speaker 1: just not fit into that mold. Ashley would 100% be
- 15:12Speaker 1: one of those. Final comment here. The two teams that
- 15:16Speaker 1: were formed were the Crashouts and the Winners. What a
- 15:19Speaker 1: terrible name to choose during this. The Winners?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Crashouts? We both hate both of the names. I don't know.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Like, out of all the creative juices that you have
- 15:32Speaker 1: and all the opportunities that you have as a housewife
- 15:36Speaker 1: to be creative, you say, here's a name, The Winners.
- 15:41Speaker 1: The Winners.
- 15:41Speaker 2: They didn't give a shit about this game. No one cared.
- 15:44Speaker 1: That's really what it was.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I was like, let's just get this started. We're The Winners. Okay,
- 15:48Speaker 2: let's go. Let's go.
- 16:00Speaker 1: We do see everybody go to lunch. A lot of
- 16:03Speaker 1: just things happening at lunch. A lot of storylines that
- 16:06Speaker 1: kind of get compounded into a very short segment.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 1: As you mentioned, Vicky gets called out for leaving the
- 16:12Speaker 1: party early. But then also we see Luanne. And we
- 16:17Speaker 1: see Luanne start to try to lift Vicky's spirits. We
- 16:22Speaker 1: see Vicky start to open up. We see some tequila shots.
- 16:25Speaker 1: We see her personality coming to life. And it's really
- 16:27Speaker 1: wonderful to see. We see as she gets in the car,
- 16:30Speaker 1: even she's kind of like booty shaking it a little bit,
- 16:32Speaker 1: like doing some stuff.
- 16:35Speaker 2: So happy for her.
- 16:36Speaker 1: But this is the catalyst, the start of Luanne this episode, Lauren.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I want, if you don't mind, kind of walk through
- 16:44Speaker 1: these Luanne storylines. We see her talking about somebody's mom,
- 16:48Speaker 1: the death of a guy on a toilet. Yeah. We
- 16:52Speaker 1: see Luann talking about wanting to die, you know, having intercourse.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Obviously Luann had a lot to drink, but this isn't,
- 17:01Speaker 2: I wouldn't, even if she was sober, I would think
- 17:03Speaker 2: this is just classic Luann wanting to talk about herself
- 17:08Speaker 2: being the center of attention. Marisol, her mom died and
- 17:12Speaker 2: she's a big part of the show. So I guess
- 17:17Speaker 2: her and Luann were close. So yeah, Luann jumps in
- 17:21Speaker 2: and says, oh, I talked to her and I knew
- 17:23Speaker 2: all of this. And of course making this death about herself.
- 17:28Speaker 2: And then she, Marisol says that her mom died of
- 17:31Speaker 2: a stroke. And then Luann, I guess, took that as
- 17:33Speaker 2: the opportunity to say how she wanted to die. And
- 17:36Speaker 2: then segueing into how her stepfather or uncle or something
- 17:43Speaker 2: died on the toilet and made it obviously about sex
- 17:46Speaker 2: and the fact that he had an erection as he
- 17:48Speaker 2: died and So it's all crazy.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Um, but, and she's talking in very inopportune moments. Everyone
- 17:57Speaker 2: wants Luanna to shut up. Even when they're like covering
- 17:59Speaker 2: her mouth, she's not stopping.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Do you, okay. As a Luann fan here.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Did you want her to shut up?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I wanted her to shut up. I thought there were
- 18:10Speaker 2: some parts were funny, but especially when Vicky was trying
- 18:13Speaker 2: to make her speech. I was like, let Vicky talk.
- 18:16Speaker 2: We have to cuddle her a little bit. Let her talk. Obviously,
- 18:20Speaker 2: it was very disrespectful for her to cut off Marisol
- 18:23Speaker 2: when she was talking about her mom. And Portia, if
- 18:26Speaker 2: Portia's telling you, be quiet, I would absolutely listen. So, yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 2: it was time for her to stop talking. But I
- 18:35Speaker 2: howled when they cut to Luann in the car on
- 18:39Speaker 2: the way home and she was still talking and talking,
- 18:43Speaker 2: saying her her song lyrics to crying Lisa in the back.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I was howling. I was like, this woman loves herself.
- 18:52Speaker 2: So amazing.
- 18:54Speaker 1: See, that's what, what makes you a better person than me, Lauren.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Cause I walked, watch that. And I want to pull
- 19:02Speaker 1: my hair out. Like I'm mad. Like I'm like actually
- 19:05Speaker 1: like angry at this situation. And you're watching it being like, no,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I still love that woman.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But explain that to me. I don't get it. I
- 19:15Speaker 1: want to, I need to learn from you on this.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I don't know. I think that, um, maybe she's like, so,
- 19:23Speaker 2: so polar opposite of me that I find it fascinating
- 19:26Speaker 2: to watch. Like when I'm drunk or I've had any
- 19:29Speaker 2: kind of drinks, I want to make sure I'm quiet
- 19:31Speaker 2: and I'm not annoying. Like I'm overthinking everything that comes
- 19:34Speaker 2: out of my mouth to make sure I'm not the
- 19:36Speaker 2: annoying drunk person, but she does the polar opposite. She
- 19:39Speaker 2: thinks everything she has to say is gold. She was like,
- 19:44Speaker 2: always leave a party early because you want to keep
- 19:47Speaker 2: them wondering where you're going. And it's like, no one's
- 19:52Speaker 2: asking this. No one's asking this unsolicited advice. I don't know.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, maybe it's just, it's just absolutely
- 20:00Speaker 2: foreign to me to act that way that I find
- 20:03Speaker 2: it funny.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I'm with you. It's very odd. Like if I've found
- 20:07Speaker 1: myself in a situation where, where I'm uncomfortable, I get quiet.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And if I do happen to over-talk, I usually lay
- 20:16Speaker 1: my head on the pillow that night and go, why
- 20:18Speaker 1: in the world did you do that? Why did you
- 20:21Speaker 1: say that? These people are going to think you're so
- 20:23Speaker 1: annoying or you just hurt that person's feelings. And I
- 20:26Speaker 1: run through that scenario for hours.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Hours? Yes. Hours.
- 20:31Speaker 1: The worst is a wedding.
- 20:32Speaker 2: She doesn't care, I don't think. Like, it's loud. You're, like,
- 20:34Speaker 2: just trying to come up with anything to say. You're drunk.
- 20:37Speaker 2: And I'm just like, why the hell– do I drink
- 20:40Speaker 2: at all? But she's, she has this recorded and she
- 20:43Speaker 2: gets to watch herself back. And the amazing thing about
- 20:46Speaker 2: Luann is she's going to say, it was absolutely fabulous advice.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I was the smartest person in the room. So no Sunday,
- 20:52Speaker 2: not Sunday scaries.
- 20:53Speaker 1: No.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Um, what is it called? Anxiety for her.
- 20:57Speaker 1: It's, it is that you're right. It is. You're, you're bringing,
- 21:01Speaker 1: so you are teaching me because I'm looking at this
- 21:02Speaker 1: being like, there is a, uh, There's an anger to
- 21:05Speaker 1: me because I maybe am just jealous that she has
- 21:07Speaker 1: so little shame and guilt in her life that she
- 21:11Speaker 1: just runs full speed ahead and then doubles down.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Doubles down. Gotta love her.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's wild. Luanne is obviously a big character at
- 21:24Speaker 1: the lunch. As Lauren's mentioned, she is a character and
- 21:29Speaker 1: she continues to be a character throughout this whole episode.
- 21:33Speaker 1: But we do get to see everybody would kind of
- 21:35Speaker 1: bring up this Lisa being late to the bus scenario again.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Lisa does finally admit it was not right of her.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I don't know if that comes from a place of
- 21:48Speaker 1: just like, hey, I'm so tired of hearing about this,
- 21:50Speaker 1: or I actually was not. It's been a day, thought
- 21:54Speaker 1: about it. I was not good for doing that to
- 21:57Speaker 1: you all. But what it does end up doing is
- 22:01Speaker 1: it does make Lisa feel like people still don't like her,
- 22:06Speaker 1: no matter where she goes. That's a terrible feeling.
- 22:09Speaker 2: But I do feel like she's getting a sense of
- 22:12Speaker 2: these women now, and she knows that if she just
- 22:15Speaker 2: talked about it calmly and apologized, they would have forgiven her.
- 22:19Speaker 2: And she's not used to the blind rage of her
- 22:22Speaker 2: Salt Lake City cast. So I think she's just understanding
- 22:26Speaker 2: a little bit more that Apologies are welcomed. But then
- 22:30Speaker 2: this kind of goes into, like, okay, while we're on
- 22:33Speaker 2: the topic of Lisa, let's just... Another Giselle thing bringing
- 22:37Speaker 2: up that we hear that you, like, sell stories to bloggers.
- 22:42Speaker 2: That's what your Salt Lake City cast said about you.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Can you just squash that so we know everything about
- 22:47Speaker 2: you now, Lisa? And she's like, no. Definitely not. Obviously not.
- 22:52Speaker 2: But then I don't understand. She was... What Giselle and
- 22:55Speaker 2: Portia were saying, like, you have... but this blogger has
- 22:58Speaker 2: your phone number. Like that doesn't, how was that your proof?
- 23:01Speaker 2: That's again, like a blind statement, just like a circle
- 23:05Speaker 2: jerk thing that it's like, so this guy has your
- 23:07Speaker 2: phone number. It doesn't mean anything more. Yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I mean, I think reality, Steve has my phone number.
- 23:13Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to think, I'm like,
- 23:15Speaker 2: I'm sure Ashley has some crazy people's phone numbers and
- 23:19Speaker 2: it doesn't mean you're selling stories.
- 23:21Speaker 1: No, I mean, teams, I mean, everything, every time something
- 23:25Speaker 1: happens in bachelor world, TMZ calls me, at some point
- 23:29Speaker 1: to get a quote um doesn't answer or maybe i
- 23:32Speaker 1: answer every.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Time oh they'll never know second kid on the way
- 23:39Speaker 2: we need to be selling some stories.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I need money yeah you heard it first guys um
- 23:47Speaker 3: yeah so um and then lisa was like if i
- 23:52Speaker 3: had anything to say i would say it through my
- 23:55Speaker 3: mouth or my hands basically she would tweet it out
- 23:57Speaker 3: she would make a tiktok and she has nothing to
- 24:01Speaker 3: hide and i believe that she's like i am very
- 24:03Speaker 3: comfortable saying my piece to these women without hiding behind a.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Blogger or a tiktoker but it is the fact that
- 24:11Speaker 2: would she do anything for.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Money Lisa gets protected or not protected. She gets support
- 24:29Speaker 1: from Teresa. And one of the reasons I think Teresa
- 24:32Speaker 1: is doing this is because she mentioned that her daughter
- 24:34Speaker 1: Gia watched Salt Lake City and said that Lisa, the
- 24:40Speaker 1: way the women treat Lisa mirrors the way the women
- 24:43Speaker 1: treat Teresa on Real Housewives of New Jersey. So I'm
- 24:48Speaker 1: guessing Teresa at this point feels some sort of Empathy,
- 24:54Speaker 1: relatability to Lisa and follows her to the bathroom. Lisa
- 24:59Speaker 1: sounds like she's crying while she stands in the bathroom
- 25:01Speaker 1: and she's talking about these girls from Salt Lake City
- 25:04Speaker 1: and how they're mentally ill stalkers is what she says
- 25:09Speaker 1: about them. It does feel like, I mean, again, I
- 25:13Speaker 1: don't have a lot of context for Salt Lake City.
- 25:15Speaker 1: It does feel like Lisa is on her own little
- 25:18Speaker 1: lonely island in the midst of filming the show, which
- 25:20Speaker 1: makes me wonder why in the world does she keep
- 25:23Speaker 1: filming it?
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that fame is very important, Lisa, from
- 25:27Speaker 2: what I have gathered. So that's why you probably keep filming.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Also money, obviously. But you would think the one person
- 25:36Speaker 2: that's hated... is the person in the wrong. But since
- 25:40Speaker 2: Lisa is all I know, I have a hard time
- 25:42Speaker 2: believing the other women. So if I go into Salt Lake,
- 25:44Speaker 2: I'm already going to be on my familiar girl's side.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Maybe we bring in expert Heather to the conversation to
- 25:51Speaker 1: help us make sense, again this week, of the Salt
- 25:55Speaker 1: Lake City situation with Lisa.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Of these mentally ill stalkers.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a big quote. Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Like we've kind of talked about in the past, the
- 26:05Speaker 4: other women have come for Lisa with rumors about her
- 26:09Speaker 4: marriage and the great lengths that she'll go to, to
- 26:12Speaker 4: quote unquote, you know, close a deal for her business.
- 26:15Speaker 4: But Lisa doesn't do herself any favors. She will go
- 26:19Speaker 4: to things like a premiere or a screening and then
- 26:24Speaker 4: for a movie. And then we'll be like, She's famous
- 26:27Speaker 4: for last season saying, I live a way different life
- 26:31Speaker 4: than the rest of you guys. Like I was with
- 26:34Speaker 4: Ben Affleck at, you know, such and such event. So
- 26:37Speaker 4: she doesn't do herself any favors by name dropping and,
- 26:41Speaker 4: you know, kind of throwing that in the women's face because,
- 26:45Speaker 4: you know, the other women are like, your life is
- 26:47Speaker 4: actually not that different from the rest of ours. And
- 26:50Speaker 4: she really does think that her life is very different
- 26:53Speaker 4: from theirs. She's not totally on an island when it
- 26:56Speaker 4: comes to the cast. She does have Meredith Marks, who's
- 26:59Speaker 4: been kind of her little side-by-side since the show started.
- 27:04Speaker 4: They have history together. But I would say that they
- 27:07Speaker 4: are pretty removed right now from the rest of the cast.
- 27:11Speaker 4: The two of them, because also there was an incident.
- 27:14Speaker 4: We won't have to go all the details, but there
- 27:16Speaker 4: was an incident on a plane last season that was
- 27:20Speaker 4: focused on basically Meredith was, according to the rest of
- 27:24Speaker 4: the women, acting erratic on the flight. Lisa was sitting
- 27:29Speaker 4: next to her. Lisa was. allegedly egging her on and
- 27:33Speaker 4: joining in in the erratic behavior. And so when they landed,
- 27:36Speaker 4: all the women were like, hey, you guys shouldn't have
- 27:39Speaker 4: been acting like that. And Lisa and Meredith were both like,
- 27:41Speaker 4: we weren't acting like anything.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Everything's fine.
- 27:44Speaker 4: You know, if it was so bad, I would have
- 27:46Speaker 4: gotten kicked off the flight. Did I get kicked off
- 27:48Speaker 4: the flight? And there was like no footage of the flight.
- 27:51Speaker 4: So everybody for the rest of the season was like,
- 27:54Speaker 4: what happened on the flight? What You can't be making
- 28:02Speaker 4: a storyline out of something that there's literally no footage of.
- 28:06Speaker 4: So this is partly why she's kind of on her
- 28:08Speaker 4: back foot with her cast.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Yeah, there is a lot to. It sounds like there's
- 28:14Speaker 1: a lot of backstory here. And so not all of
- 28:17Speaker 1: the frustrations from the Salt Lake City ladies feels unwarranted.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Doesn't seem factual. Like, okay. So she says she lives
- 28:26Speaker 2: a different life than all these other ladies. And it's
- 28:28Speaker 2: not true, but she's just like blowing out of proportion.
- 28:30Speaker 2: And she's excited that she went to a screening where
- 28:33Speaker 2: Ben Affleck was. So she's like, so it's like, okay,
- 28:37Speaker 2: she's just like exaggerating a little bit.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 28:40Speaker 1: It can get annoying. I think I get that. I
- 28:44Speaker 1: have buddies, right. Who are single and the things they
- 28:48Speaker 1: like brag about, you're like, all right, dude, that's cool.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I'm glad you're having such a good time out there.
- 28:54Speaker 1: But you haven't asked about me in, you know, six months.
- 28:58Speaker 1: You have no clue what my life looks like and
- 29:00Speaker 1: what I'm enjoying in my life. So I'm a little
- 29:02Speaker 1: frustrated at our friendship right now. It sounds like you
- 29:05Speaker 1: do that enough and you can't get over it. And then,
- 29:12Speaker 1: you know, it doesn't help with Lisa showing up to
- 29:15Speaker 1: the bus late, being unapologetic about it. And all these
- 29:19Speaker 1: other ladies who are probably trying to get to know
- 29:21Speaker 1: her too. And they've heard a lot of things going, yep,
- 29:25Speaker 1: that's the Lisa that everybody's talked about. She's better than
- 29:30Speaker 1: everybody else. I can see where we're getting to where
- 29:33Speaker 1: we're getting is my point. I don't know enough yet,
- 29:36Speaker 1: but I can see on why there's frustration towards Lisa
- 29:39Speaker 1: and And I'm also seeing, Lauren, I think it's worth
- 29:42Speaker 1: noting why Lisa's frustrated, not only with the other woman,
- 29:47Speaker 1: but probably with herself on why do I continue to
- 29:51Speaker 1: put myself in situations for other women to get angry
- 29:53Speaker 1: at me?
- 29:54Speaker 2: So true.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 29:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that's true because she seems like actually
- 29:59Speaker 2: apologetic and she's like, I can't ruin another group of women.
- 30:03Speaker 2: I have to like reel it in. Like I have
- 30:05Speaker 2: to be overly nice. I need these people to like
- 30:07Speaker 2: me because I can't have another whole group against me
- 30:09Speaker 2: because then that'll be factual. That won't just be feelings. Yeah.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Hey, we see episode or previews for the next episode. Lauren,
- 30:17Speaker 1: the women are going to a lingerie party.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Whoop, whoop.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Sounds like a great time.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Sounds like a nightmare yeah i was gonna.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Say i've never heard it i mean like i think
- 30:27Speaker 1: i've seen these you know at like a vegas club
- 30:31Speaker 1: i went to.
- 30:31Speaker 2: One when i was 17 years old it was a
- 30:33Speaker 2: high school party like how weird is that that's the
- 30:35Speaker 2: only laundry party i've ever been to like why did
- 30:37Speaker 2: my mom let me go out of the house in
- 30:38Speaker 2: a corset.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Did you feel cool though oh i was like yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 2: This is like totally age-appropriate i'm really really cool yeah
- 30:48Speaker 2: so I can't imagine.
- 30:50Speaker 1: A bunch of 17-year-old boys going to this lingerie party
- 30:53Speaker 1: being like, yes.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. Seeing like barely their boobies.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Yeah. So exciting.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:01Speaker 1: The Real Housewives of Miami, Lisa and Larsa are fighting.
- 31:05Speaker 1: The girls' trip travels to New York City next. That's
- 31:08Speaker 1: going to be fun. We see the women getting emotional.
- 31:11Speaker 1: with some of the New York cast members and the
- 31:13Speaker 1: women attend another costume party. That just seems like the
- 31:16Speaker 1: real housewives love costume parties.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Slow hanging fruit. I think it's so boring. Whatever.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Do you like costume parties?
- 31:24Speaker 2: I just like, I'm like, Oh my God, that's so funny.
- 31:27Speaker 2: You're dressed as whatever. It's just not interesting to me.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I agree. I'm not, I have this like a full
- 31:35Speaker 1: body Tigger suit that I got in college for like
- 31:39Speaker 1: Halloween and, That's it every year. I rock that thing
- 31:44Speaker 1: beginning to end, but I do think I'm dressing up
- 31:47Speaker 1: for Halloween with Jess and Winnie this year.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Are you willing to expose the theme early or no?
- 31:54Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I think so. I mean, we're going to
- 31:55Speaker 1: go with the Winnie the Pooh theme. So maybe Tigger
- 32:00Speaker 1: comes back. Maybe I'm just rocking Tigger.
- 32:04Speaker 2: You're like, actually, I think we're going to do something
- 32:05Speaker 2: a little different this year. Winnie the Pooh.
- 32:08Speaker 4: What?
- 32:09Speaker 1: That's true that's fun you're just.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Gonna meet digger again that's hilarious it's very comfy i'm
- 32:14Speaker 2: sure but yeah ashley's like oh like every little detail
- 32:19Speaker 2: of this theme costume must be accurate and i was
- 32:22Speaker 2: kind of the one where i was like oh i'll
- 32:24Speaker 2: i'll be a bunny and i'll just wear you know
- 32:27Speaker 2: bunny ears or something.
- 32:29Speaker 1: So yeah um i don't get too into.
- 32:31Speaker 2: It not not too big into it but i am
- 32:33Speaker 2: excited that they're going to new york and we get
- 32:35Speaker 2: to see hopefully the original New York cast members. Um,
- 32:40Speaker 2: cause you gotta be introduced to Ramona. You, Oh, Oh,
- 32:44Speaker 2: I would love to see it. I hope Ramona is there.
- 32:46Speaker 2: There is a new cast of New York. You're going
- 32:49Speaker 2: to think, no, you're going to bash your head into
- 32:52Speaker 2: a window, but, but, um, it will make everything exciting.
- 32:57Speaker 2: So I'm excited for that.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Again, we ended another episode of the
- 33:03Speaker 1: almost famous podcast by saying, How in the world did
- 33:06Speaker 1: I get here?
- 33:07Speaker 2: Every week. I watch it and I go, I don't
- 33:10Speaker 2: know how Ben's doing over there.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Not good. Not good.
- 33:14Speaker 2: All right.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Hey, we'll be back next week with another breakdown of
- 33:21Speaker 1: the Ultimate Girls trip leading up to season two of
- 33:24Speaker 1: The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Lauren, do we have
- 33:27Speaker 1: confirmation that Ashley will be a part of this next
- 33:30Speaker 1: season yet?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Will Ashley be part of Real Housewives season two? No.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Rhode Island season two cannot confirm.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Cannot confirm. Okay. We'll be hanging on to the edges
- 33:41Speaker 1: of our seats for that announcement. Hope so.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
