- 0:06Hi, I'm Jay felon and you are listening to the slippery slope.
- 0:09So just a couple of days ago that I did an episode regarding
- 0:13monkey pox and the new declaration from the World
- 0:16Health Organization. And I believe I was talking
- 0:19about how I thought that would ramp up the rhetoric because
- 0:23they will want to bring in mandates eventually and I think
- 0:28we're starting to see This happen in Australia.
- 0:31I think what we're starting to see is the preparation just
- 0:35getting people ready, just giving them warnings, getting
- 0:39them ready? Hey.
- 0:40This is all happening there in the background, but soon, soon,
- 0:44it's going to be of even more significance.
- 0:47So everyone will be ready. No one will be surprised when we
- 0:49bring around mandates, when we bring in interventions into
- 0:54other people's lives, no one will be surprised because the
- 0:57government's warned us. This headline came through it.
- 1:00Is monkeypox declared disease of significance.
- 1:03So the country's chief medical officer has upgraded, the
- 1:07federal response to monkeypox in the wake of the World Health
- 1:11Organization listing the disease, as a global emergency.
- 1:15Monkeypox has now been declared a communicable disease incident
- 1:19of national significance. The Declaration means the
- 1:23response to Monkey pox will have National coordination in order
- 1:28to assist States. And territories, without breaks.
- 1:32The Declaration also means monkey pox will require National
- 1:37policies, interventions public messages or resources to assist
- 1:43affected areas. Isn't it good?
- 1:46Isn't it just wonderful when the government's telling you ahead
- 1:48of time that they plan their planning to intervene in the
- 1:52public life somehow. But they're already letting you
- 1:55know and they say well, you know, we're going to put these
- 1:58plans in place. Guarantee this is gonna happen.
- 2:02Anyway, it goes on to say that there have been 44 cases of
- 2:06monkeypox so far in Australia, mostly from from returning,
- 2:11International Travelers 44 cases in the country of 25 million and
- 2:17all these from the wall says, mostly from returning,
- 2:21International Travelers, and if you look into where these
- 2:24International Travelers have been, and what they've been
- 2:27doing when they're overseas, generally, they've all Been
- 2:30overseas to celebrate a way of life and they're involved in
- 2:35other activities, which is cause them to contract monkey box
- 2:41anyway. So the chief medical officer.
- 2:44Professor Paul Kelly. This is the professor, not the
- 2:47singer songwriter he said work was already underway to ensure a
- 2:52quick response to the disease and he says, although I've
- 2:56declared monkeypox to be a communicable disease Of national
- 3:00significance. It is far less, harmful than
- 3:03covid-19. He said, in the statement, there
- 3:07have been no deaths reported during the current outbreak
- 3:11outside of countries where the virus is endemic.
- 3:14And monkey pox is also not transmitted in the same way as
- 3:20covid-19 and is far less transmissible the national
- 3:25incident Center has been activated to help provide
- 3:28coordination. To deal with monkey pox.
- 3:31So, Professor Kelly said, most cases of monkeypox had been
- 3:36among people between 21 and 40 Years of old and among gay and
- 3:42bisexual men. So although monkey pox is not
- 3:46usually considered, it's not usually considered a sexually
- 3:51transmissible infection physical contact with an infected person
- 3:56during sexual intercourse carries a We can't risk of
- 4:01transmission. This is what the professor said
- 4:04and this is why so many of the cases are vast.
- 4:08Majority of the cases have come out of these areas where they
- 4:11have been celebrating a certain type of lifestyle.
- 4:15And with that celebration, they've been engaging in
- 4:19dangerous. Well, you know, not the most
- 4:23protected of sexual activities. Let's put it that way.
- 4:26So, intimate physical contact, T' such as hugging kissing and
- 4:31sexual activities represent a risk of infection with infection
- 4:36skin, sores being the likely mode of transmission.
- 4:40So rashes involved with monkeypox.
- 4:42Usually start on the face before spreading to other parts of the
- 4:45body, including the palms and hands and soles of feet other
- 4:49symptoms include fever, chills body aches, headaches, swollen,
- 4:54lymph, nodes and tiredness. So there you have it--people at
- 4:59I believe. Government is getting us ready
- 5:01and zoom in the very near future.
- 5:04I believe you'll see the government and the World Health
- 5:08Organization ramp up. Continue to ramp up the rhetoric
- 5:12for monkey pox and I think we're going to see mandates being
- 5:15brought in. They will raise the alert level
- 5:18for monkey pox and you're and you're going to see yet again.
- 5:23In my opinion, the government trying to intervene in our
- 5:27lives. It's very good at them.
- 5:29And still, they will still continue as we're seeing here in
- 5:33Australia. You go and watch the ABC News.
- 5:36There is constantly display down how, you know, it's, you know,
- 5:41we don't want to cause any harm or any alarm or any
- 5:45embarrassment to the to the gay and bisexual and the other
- 5:49community here, know the, the men who have sex with other men
- 5:52Community, which is now different from the gay and
- 5:55bisexual Community. We don't want to cause any alarm
- 5:58to that. Embarrassment to that Community.
- 6:02However, they're not talking about it enough and not to cause
- 6:06embarrassment about it, but maybe you need to discuss it a
- 6:10bit more and and have a serious conversation with how you can
- 6:14avoid getting the disease. Maybe there's a few.
- 6:19There's a few easy, easy precautions that you can take
- 6:24maybe if they would actually discuss those things instead of
- 6:28just trying to ramp up the rhetoric and start getting us
- 6:31all ready for another round of vaccinations.
- 6:35But hey boy. That's just my opinion.
- 6:39Thank you for listening to the slippery slope.
