- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, mister Boston, what's going on?
- 0:03Speaker 2: Your weather's crazy over there in New York City is
- 0:05Speaker 2: eighty two yesterday today is thirty four.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Is this snown by you?
- 0:09Speaker 3: Yep?
- 0:10Speaker 4: It was snaw a little bit when I was coming
- 0:12Speaker 4: back from Ohigan.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Wow, okay, rare, Yeah.
- 0:15Speaker 3: It was really nice yesterday. It was perfect yesterday. Oh wow,
- 0:20Speaker 3: it was close to seventy yesterday. Amazing.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Let's tell the people first, let's get this officially out there.
- 0:29Speaker 2: So Alan Boston flying in Monday night, so gracious to
- 0:33Speaker 2: be getting up early morning to be with us. And
- 0:37Speaker 2: eleven o'clock at the West Gate is our show, and
- 0:41Speaker 2: you guys are welcome to come out there and we'll
- 0:42Speaker 2: grab you some seats around maybe you can hear us
- 0:45Speaker 2: live as we're doing the show. And also twelve o'clock
- 0:50Speaker 2: meet and greet and we'll have something arranged there. And
- 0:53Speaker 2: John Murray over there said, you guys can take as
- 0:55Speaker 2: much of the sweets you want in the back of
- 0:57Speaker 2: the room the pods they have or whatever to hang
- 0:59Speaker 2: out and well, we'll have plenty of things going on
- 1:03Speaker 2: there and then for you to do.
- 1:04Speaker 4: It out in the open there or is there some
- 1:06Speaker 4: studio do it out.
- 1:07Speaker 1: We do it out in the open.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Goods used to be the startling.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeh.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Jay gets in the lower the volume a little bit
- 1:15Speaker 2: for us, so we can uh do it like that.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And also, guys, just to let you know, I know
- 1:23Speaker 2: some of these aren't coming until Wednesday. We're just reach
- 1:28Speaker 2: out and I'll tell you what we're gonna do. You know,
- 1:30Speaker 2: we'll arrange something where someone asked me about Normans. Normans
- 1:34Speaker 2: is on Durango. It's not the Norms on Charleston A. Sahara,
- 1:38Speaker 2: those guys that tried to sue Norman for his name.
- 1:41Speaker 2: It's Norman's on Durrango. We'll we'll definitely have a breakfast
- 1:46Speaker 2: probably there the next day or so.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah, if well, not the next day because it's gotta
- 1:50Speaker 3: be Sunday because that's the only day there's too many
- 1:52Speaker 3: games were on in the morning. The next Wednesday, we
- 1:56Speaker 3: could do it. Okay, we could do it Wednesday, but
- 1:59Speaker 3: they're not coming in until Wednesday.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So the Wednesday, right right right. I just figured.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Maybe maybe uh yeah find out tell Crack how long
- 2:07Speaker 3: you're going to be in town for. Yeah, yeah, we
- 2:10Speaker 3: can eat Sunday morning breakfast that we can do a
- 2:12Speaker 3: dinner on the on the Monday after, well the Tuesday after.
- 2:17Speaker 1: And Alan's not going to watch the games in the casando.
- 2:20Speaker 1: This is the second person that asked me that I
- 2:22Speaker 1: without asking them. I think that's the answer.
- 2:24Speaker 3: No, Alan's not gonna, But I mean, if there's a
- 2:26Speaker 3: big demand for it, then I'll just make an appearance.
- 2:29Speaker 3: But it's not yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, and watch
- 2:34Speaker 3: a game with anyway. But if you guys are all
- 2:40Speaker 3: leaving on Sunday that they're coming in the eighteenth, let
- 2:43Speaker 3: us know and then we'll do a Sunday morning uh
- 2:46Speaker 3: Norman's breakfast. If you're staying later, then dinner makes more sense.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It gives you more time because breakfast.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Because the games, the games are going Sunday, but there's
- 2:58Speaker 3: only one early game on Sunday.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure it's staggered.
- 3:01Speaker 3: It was.
- 3:02Speaker 4: I recall every year it's staggered.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So there's one early game and then a couple and
- 3:05Speaker 3: then there's mostly late games.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Okay, Alan, how is? I was in the sports book
- 3:12Speaker 2: this morning? I did I did my VS show this morning,
- 3:16Speaker 2: and Sportsbook was packed. Lots of people. Probably a better week,
- 3:20Speaker 2: though everyone was comfortable. They had seats around them still
- 3:24Speaker 2: where they didn't work, crowded.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Jammed in.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I talked to many people today that told me this
- 3:30Speaker 2: is a much more enjoyable week during conference tournaments than
- 3:33Speaker 2: next week. There's more games, it's it's just an easier time,
- 3:37Speaker 2: not as much as aggressive crowd. How about your betting
- 3:42Speaker 2: for this this week? How about you know, do you
- 3:45Speaker 2: personally do you like this week more than next week
- 3:48Speaker 2: or no, it doesn't matter.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I used to like this week a lot, but since
- 3:51Speaker 3: I've sucked the last few years, I don't really like
- 3:53Speaker 3: it anymore. Actually, last year I was good and I
- 3:55Speaker 3: sucked in a tournament. This year, this week hasn't been
- 3:57Speaker 3: any good.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I don't.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I think I've kind of like had enough of the year,
- 4:02Speaker 3: Like I'm not digging in like I once did, and
- 4:04Speaker 3: I'm getting what I deserve. Of course, I don't score
- 4:07Speaker 3: the last basket any game. So the Iowa game was
- 4:12Speaker 3: they had to get a rebound to cover and they didn't,
- 4:13Speaker 3: and George Washington was twenty four ahead and didn't cover.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So it's not like it's all just ridiculous. Virginia got
- 4:20Speaker 3: the last three yes, yeah, yes.
- 4:23Speaker 1: For a tie. Yeah, I've seen that uh, you did
- 4:27Speaker 1: have umash.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Yeah. I told everybody I thought you massoud win this game.
- 4:31Speaker 3: It was just just Miami. It was just too much
- 4:33Speaker 3: from Miami O. They they just went thirty one and
- 4:36Speaker 3: oh and the game they won, game thirty one they
- 4:38Speaker 3: won was just epic, like the refs might have helped
- 4:43Speaker 3: them a little bit, which is good because if we
- 4:45Speaker 3: got him in the tournament, it's good. Kick out Indiana
- 4:48Speaker 3: who don't deserve to be in. And but somehow they'll
- 4:51Speaker 3: probably wiggle their way in. Well, they'll put SMU in.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'll find some excuse to put some of these mediocre
- 4:55Speaker 3: power schools in because they have quad one wins.
- 4:58Speaker 4: And Miami O coach made a very good point.
- 5:01Speaker 3: He said, I call seventy five different schools to schedule
- 5:03Speaker 3: a game. They all turned me down. So how is
- 5:07Speaker 3: he supposed to get quad one or quad two wins
- 5:09Speaker 3: and whatever ridiculous nonsense that they predicate their their seedings
- 5:15Speaker 3: and who gets in on It's all very corrupt. And
- 5:18Speaker 3: I'll continue to say that to the day I die,
- 5:20Speaker 3: because I know I'm right. How about just taking the
- 5:23Speaker 3: best fucking teams? How about that? How about finding some
- 5:27Speaker 3: power ratings they don't have to call a handicapper like me.
- 5:30Speaker 3: He would be a good idea. He has the top
- 5:32Speaker 3: eighty teams in the country, and ill I have no
- 5:33Speaker 3: reason to lie because I don't care who plays who.
- 5:35Speaker 3: I'll make a bet based on you know, or use
- 5:39Speaker 3: Ken Palm ratings or Sagarin or whatever other computer ratings
- 5:43Speaker 3: are out there, and you know they'll be a little flawed,
- 5:47Speaker 3: but you know all of them will be a little
- 5:48Speaker 3: flawed instead of just quad one. They don't do that
- 5:51Speaker 3: because they don't want the best teams in. They want
- 5:53Speaker 3: the teams that they think will generate the most money
- 5:56Speaker 3: or that have the biggest TV contracts. That's who they
- 5:59Speaker 3: want in. Can't have the big majors in there because
- 6:02Speaker 3: then they're entitled to all money, and if they have
- 6:04Speaker 3: more money, they're a threat to.
- 6:05Speaker 4: The power schools. But the tournament's ruined as far as
- 6:08Speaker 4: I'm concerned.
- 6:09Speaker 3: They claimed when they expanded the field to sixty eight,
- 6:12Speaker 3: they claimed it was to allow more major majors to
- 6:14Speaker 3: get in. Of course, last year was the fewest at
- 6:16Speaker 3: large big majors that have ever been into the tournament.
- 6:19Speaker 3: So that's complete horseshit. And you'll see the same thing
- 6:22Speaker 3: this year, just you know, if all these bubble teams
- 6:24Speaker 3: hadn't lost, and they all lost the last the last week,
- 6:26Speaker 3: they've lost every game. So they're gonna have a hard
- 6:29Speaker 3: time putting all these teams in because all they do
- 6:31Speaker 3: is lose. So now you know in Santa Clara beat
- 6:34Speaker 3: Saint Mary's, that that you know. So now there's gonna
- 6:36Speaker 3: be three from the West Coast Conference. And if there isn't,
- 6:38Speaker 3: there should be a riot. And you know, Miami does
- 6:41Speaker 3: not deserve to be in. Their rating isn't good enough.
- 6:44Speaker 3: But how do you not put them in? They went
- 6:45Speaker 3: thirty one and oh again, they took everyone's best shot
- 6:47Speaker 3: every every game and and and handled it. They'll be
- 6:50Speaker 3: there'll be another riot if they don't put them in.
- 6:52Speaker 3: So there'll be two for them in American Conference and
- 6:55Speaker 3: that'll that'll get all the power schools sick, which makes
- 6:58Speaker 3: me happy. Unfortunately there's no Cinderella's because they're just not
- 7:02Speaker 3: good enough. You can't overcome if you're paying someone two million,
- 7:07Speaker 3: you're paying someone one hundred thousand. Yes, who's the better player?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Right right?
- 7:11Speaker 3: Well, it's it's the whole thing's ridiculous, It really is.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It's really just and NATO's just trying to pull someone
- 7:18Speaker 3: out of the g I mean, the whole thing's just
- 7:20Speaker 3: crazy because he needed a big guy. Fuck him, Fuck
- 7:23Speaker 3: them all. I'll be happy when it's over.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Now what what?
- 7:28Speaker 2: Over the years, we've seen, like you've you've you've had
- 7:32Speaker 2: some epic rants about, justifiably about some of the mid majors.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So you're saying these teams are gonna get screwed, maybe
- 7:39Speaker 2: even more now that.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Weren't they did last year. They only got four men
- 7:44Speaker 4: h R two years ago.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Indiana State was like better than I think fifteen teams
- 7:49Speaker 3: that they put in and they weren't in Saint John's
- 7:52Speaker 3: got screwed that year too, but that was probably the
- 7:55Speaker 3: anti Patino thing. I don't think they're fans of Patino.
- 7:59Speaker 4: It's yeah, I mean.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Huggins always got screwed because he doesn't fit the persona
- 8:03Speaker 3: of what the NCAA wants them to look like. You know,
- 8:06Speaker 3: he's kind of like, uh uh, he was the best
- 8:10Speaker 3: coach of one of the best coaches around, but that
- 8:11Speaker 3: don't matter to them. Same thing with cal Perry. Cal
- 8:14Speaker 3: Perry tells them to go fuck themselves, so they don't
- 8:16Speaker 3: like him either. So Arkansas probably get screwed. It's like clockwork.
- 8:21Speaker 3: It's the same teams get the benefit every year, and
- 8:23Speaker 3: the same teams get screwed every years. It's it really
- 8:25Speaker 3: and this is not conspiracy, because I happen to know
- 8:28Speaker 3: who the best teams are.
- 8:29Speaker 4: I rate them.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I probably know better than ninety nine point nine percent
- 8:32Speaker 3: of the world, if not one hundred, who the best,
- 8:35Speaker 3: who the best teams are, So I know who gets screwed.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I know who it's proceeded. And it's always the same
- 8:42Speaker 3: teams always.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So you could see it happening again.
- 8:47Speaker 4: This selection happens every year.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Sometimes sore they you know, with the team like Miami, Oh,
- 8:52Speaker 3: who's thirty one and oh and gets all this press
- 8:53Speaker 3: and they're on you know, ESPN, And if they leave
- 8:57Speaker 3: them out, then they'll be it'll be just it'll be.
- 9:00Speaker 3: And believe me, they don't belong in. They're not nearly
- 9:02Speaker 3: a good enough team. But they went thirty one and oh,
- 9:07Speaker 3: and then Bruce Pearl will be there like, well, Auburn
- 9:09Speaker 3: would have won thirty one to oh against that schedule, No,
- 9:10Speaker 3: I don't think they would have. I don't think they
- 9:13Speaker 3: would have. When you're getting everyone's a game every night.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It's hard to go thirty one and oh yeah, the
- 9:19Speaker 3: last x number of games they've got never one's a
- 9:22Speaker 3: game and they stole won by hook or by crook.
- 9:25Speaker 4: They stole one. So it would really suck if they
- 9:29Speaker 4: weren't in.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Alan.
- 9:31Speaker 2: You've said many different years, this is your last year,
- 9:36Speaker 2: and you always get talked into it by somebody or
- 9:39Speaker 2: maybe a.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Partner or you're you know, you're who you're advising or something.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Do you think this really will be your last year?
- 9:47Speaker 3: I can't.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I can't.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I crashed this week, like I ran out of gas,
- 9:52Speaker 3: and I'm not getting any younger.
- 9:53Speaker 4: I'll be sixty eight next year when this thing starts.
- 9:55Speaker 3: And it's thirty three game schedules next year. They expanded
- 9:59Speaker 3: this because they're no play enough games now, right. They
- 10:03Speaker 3: got to get a little They got to go a
- 10:04Speaker 3: little greedier because you know, you know, you always go
- 10:06Speaker 3: to college, so you just play basketball, except now they
- 10:09Speaker 3: play basketball and the college happens to be the name
- 10:11Speaker 3: on their shirt. It has nothing to do with them
- 10:13Speaker 3: going to college. If you can transfer four years in
- 10:16Speaker 3: a row, you're not getting a degree. The whole thing's
- 10:19Speaker 3: the whole thing is is completely completely counterfeit. It's all bullshit,
- 10:25Speaker 3: one hundred percent bullshit. It's become all about money. And
- 10:29Speaker 3: you know that's what the world, whole world is.
- 10:32Speaker 1: This.
- 10:33Speaker 3: There's billion there's a billion dollar TV contract. You have
- 10:35Speaker 3: a bunch of guys going behind closed doors and deciding
- 10:37Speaker 3: who gets in and who and who's place, miror it's
- 10:40Speaker 3: just like our government. They take trillions and tax dollars
- 10:43Speaker 3: and they distributed amongst all their friends.
- 10:45Speaker 4: And the NCAA does the same thing.
- 10:46Speaker 3: They there's a billion dollar TV contract and all this
- 10:49Speaker 3: nil shit and they distributed amongst their friends. It's the
- 10:51Speaker 3: same thing behind closed doors. And you know, the government
- 10:56Speaker 3: gets caught now. But so what they find fraud of Minnesota,
- 10:59Speaker 3: they find fraud in LA. They found Christy Nome spending
- 11:01Speaker 3: two hudred and forty million dollars and then they just
- 11:04Speaker 3: spent like, uh, who was it? They found the military
- 11:08Speaker 3: spent like two hundred million on tables and fruit baskets
- 11:12Speaker 3: or whatever the fuck it was right, all right, the
- 11:14Speaker 3: troops get to eat offs the tales of steak.
- 11:15Speaker 4: That's fine.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I I you know, even though I'm not a big
- 11:19Speaker 3: support the troops guy, because they're not doing anything to
- 11:21Speaker 3: protect our country. They're only doing shit to make the
- 11:23Speaker 3: military of industrial complex money. Uh and and and oil
- 11:27Speaker 3: companies when they when companies like when cities like Iran
- 11:31Speaker 3: years ago they had a democratically elected leader and he
- 11:35Speaker 3: told us, just like Venezuela, fuck you, you're not taking
- 11:38Speaker 3: our oil. Well, we can't have that. So it's it's
- 11:41Speaker 3: the same shit. It's just money gets involved and evil happens.
- 11:45Speaker 3: And that's what goes on in the NCAA tournament. The
- 11:48Speaker 3: government's just the best example of it because they they
- 11:50Speaker 3: they do it one hundred x. Anyway, I don't know
- 11:53Speaker 3: if it's my next my last year or not. I
- 11:55Speaker 3: sure a shit hope it is, right, I sure a
- 11:57Speaker 3: shit hope it is. I sure as shit. I I
- 12:00Speaker 3: I don't enjoy it anymore. I do enjoy doing this,
- 12:02Speaker 3: and I'll enjoy meeting everybody out in Vegas. That'll be fun.
- 12:06Speaker 4: And you know, I just.
- 12:11Speaker 3: You know, if if we have goals in life, then
- 12:14Speaker 3: if I my goal was not to be it was somewhat. Actually,
- 12:18Speaker 3: when I read a book called a Handicapper by Robert
- 12:20Speaker 3: Kailidge around nineteen eighty eighty one, the first two pages
- 12:26Speaker 3: of that book were. This is a guy who stood
- 12:29Speaker 3: by the telephone and got this manic influx of phone calls,
- 12:34Speaker 3: and he got information from all over the country, and
- 12:36Speaker 3: he he put all the information to his internal database
- 12:41Speaker 3: and he winged out the winners, just completely instinctively winged
- 12:46Speaker 3: it all out. And I said, you know, I want
- 12:47Speaker 3: to be that guy one day. Well I became that guy.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Like around the year two thousand, I doubt anyone could
- 12:52Speaker 3: add a better year than me. The year before the
- 12:54Speaker 3: odds was before we did. I spent a year and
- 12:58Speaker 3: a half a chat on the odds. You know, I
- 13:01Speaker 3: I arguably and this is not fragging Like I doubt
- 13:05Speaker 3: there's many better at me than this or have been.
- 13:08Speaker 3: So what I you know, I have nothing to prove
- 13:10Speaker 3: and nothing to prove to myself either. This year has
- 13:12Speaker 3: been very rewarding in a lot of ways because I'm
- 13:15Speaker 3: doing something completely different and I sucked the first month.
- 13:18Speaker 4: I didn't suck, but I did because what I what
- 13:21Speaker 4: I was.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Doing was not good enough for for you know, I
- 13:25Speaker 3: wasn't being a better I was being a line maker.
- 13:27Speaker 3: And as there's a big difference, we have to be
- 13:29Speaker 3: close to perfect on every game. As a better I
- 13:32Speaker 3: just look at what I'm off on. And if a
- 13:34Speaker 3: game moves, then I take a look at it, see
- 13:36Speaker 3: what's going on. But if you're setting a line in
- 13:39Speaker 3: a game's move, you're screwed. Like if my buddy has
- 13:42Speaker 3: a friend who bet him plus seven because he knew
- 13:43Speaker 3: someone was out, well we've already were already screwed. So
- 13:47Speaker 3: but I you know, I I overcame all that. I uh,
- 13:51Speaker 3: I've been I've been very good the last two months.
- 13:53Speaker 3: This week, I'm not good. But so you know, I
- 13:56Speaker 3: even I even had the inner inner resolve or fortitude
- 13:59Speaker 3: over where you want to use to to turn things around.
- 14:01Speaker 3: And what was a pretty difficult situation doing something at
- 14:04Speaker 3: sixty seven is brand new. Even though it's old, it's
- 14:08Speaker 3: new anyway. That's it, questions.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I ran into Richie Bachelari today when I was leaving
- 14:14Speaker 2: the studio, and he's coming down next week.
- 14:17Speaker 1: So people get to meet Richie also.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Get to meet and get to meet a legend.
- 14:22Speaker 2: That's what you took the words, that's it I wanted
- 14:24Speaker 2: to know. I even said, rich Yan, you can come on.
- 14:27Speaker 2: I don't know when he can add to the show,
- 14:28Speaker 2: but he can come on for a couple you know this.
- 14:30Speaker 3: This own begas longer than I have, and he was
- 14:34Speaker 3: actually behind the counter. He knows a lot more people
- 14:36Speaker 3: than I do. He's also a lot nicer guy than
- 14:39Speaker 3: I am, so he's a little more personal.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'll be good.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm actually good.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Alan, Alan actually is very good with people in
- 14:49Speaker 2: person and the public.
- 14:51Speaker 1: He's he'll answer questions.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, ask anything you want this like like I
- 14:55Speaker 3: was told that I'm intimidating whatever that means. Yeah, to
- 14:59Speaker 3: ask me question. There's no such thing as a bad question.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Any questions a good question because you're trying to learn
- 15:05Speaker 3: something or you're asked. You know, even if it seems
- 15:07Speaker 3: naive or simple, it's still a good question.
- 15:09Speaker 4: I shall answer it.
- 15:10Speaker 3: I won't say why you ask me that you fucking moron,
- 15:13Speaker 3: that those words won't come out on them all. I
- 15:15Speaker 3: will answer it as best I can. So please ask away,
- 15:19Speaker 3: you know.
- 15:20Speaker 2: So look forward to seeing Richie's. I actually was in
- 15:23Speaker 2: the Bronx with Richie years ago. Yeah, he's been around
- 15:26Speaker 2: a long time. He was, uh, you're a brook Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 2: And and Richie guy, I don't know you were, I.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Was there with him. Yeah. Sure. My mother was raised
- 15:36Speaker 1: by Addio's Bakery at the Bronx.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Doctor having an Italian section there and we actually had
- 15:40Speaker 2: some Uh.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Richie would know pizza there.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh yeah, he he was the He was the
- 15:48Speaker 2: sportsbook manager though of Caesar's.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Correct Rights and the Palms, which he completely turned the
- 15:54Speaker 3: place around in the MGM. And he was up for
- 15:57Speaker 3: the job at mg at Joe and they gave it
- 16:02Speaker 3: to Robert Walker. They gave it to the suck bick,
- 16:04Speaker 3: sucking corporate guy.
- 16:05Speaker 4: So they got what they did.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I've seen Robert out at something.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Nice guy, but he doesn't know what he's doing.
- 16:13Speaker 1: He's a nice guy.
- 16:14Speaker 2: He just I he got mad at because I said
- 16:17Speaker 2: something on the website about him not answering a question
- 16:21Speaker 2: when I went to the sports book that he was at.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Boyd uh, he wouldn't answer a ques. He didn't answer,
- 16:27Speaker 2: wouldn't come out to answer a question or something.
- 16:29Speaker 4: And I said, you get mad. You just made a comment.
- 16:32Speaker 4: You said it back right.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Say it again, Robert. You didn't come out right to
- 16:35Speaker 2: his face. I said it nothing bad.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I mean, he is a nice guy, but you know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I mean, you just said he didn't answer a question.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Why would you get mad?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Would not would not like like most people ask questions, Yeah,
- 16:48Speaker 2: I'll answer them all. Someone someone said, listening to Alan
- 16:51Speaker 2: stacking forty Stacking for Life eighty six said, listening to
- 16:56Speaker 2: Alan saying fraud Nordy.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I never hear any say that. Yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Years he's always hilarious and in past years always enjoying.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Alan live tweeting during the selection show Have You Live
- 17:10Speaker 2: tweeted the Selection show?
- 17:12Speaker 3: Oh, I used to go. I used to be.
- 17:13Speaker 4: It was.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Like I was just speaking the truth, like you know,
- 17:19Speaker 3: as they screwed one mid major after another. Right, Okay,
- 17:23Speaker 3: it's just old news and and and some people think
- 17:26Speaker 3: there's people to this day who are pretty smart to
- 17:27Speaker 3: think I'm crazy thinking it's all corrupt. Well, they're morons.
- 17:31Speaker 3: It has to be corrupt. Your humans are involved in money,
- 17:34Speaker 3: are involved guess what like, so you don't play politicians.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Let's say you're elected as a zoning official in a
- 17:43Speaker 3: local a local uh town? Sure, and someone this zoning
- 17:49Speaker 3: was you can't build a bar next within one hundred
- 17:51Speaker 3: yards of a church. And the guy wants to build
- 17:55Speaker 3: a bar with one hundred dards of a church. He says,
- 17:56Speaker 3: you know, I can donate fifty thousand year campaign, he said,
- 17:59Speaker 3: I can't do it. You know, I'll be up Ship's Creek,
- 18:01Speaker 3: like the church will lose it, and I'm gonna look
- 18:04Speaker 3: like a you know, I'm gonna like the bad guy.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Well what about one hundred thousand and no, I can't
- 18:09Speaker 3: do it. But by the time he gets still half
- 18:11Speaker 3: a million. You know what, it's just a bar and
- 18:15Speaker 3: it's not that close to the church and kids can't
- 18:17Speaker 3: go in there anyway. Let me see what I can do.
- 18:19Speaker 3: And then you've crossed that line and you're no longer
- 18:22Speaker 3: the pure guy with good intent who went into government
- 18:25Speaker 3: to do good things. And that just happens all too often.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Everyone has a breaking plate, right there used to be
- 18:33Speaker 3: that game like for a million dollars, how many boats
- 18:36Speaker 3: would you put in the gun? And if there was,
- 18:37Speaker 3: you know one that there's one hundred chambers's how many
- 18:39Speaker 3: bullets would you put in there?
- 18:42Speaker 4: For a million dollars?
- 18:43Speaker 3: You know? And right once?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Or would you rush? Yeah?
- 18:48Speaker 4: Is there a number of chambers you'd want with one
- 18:50Speaker 4: bullet in it?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Like?
- 18:52Speaker 1: Right?
- 18:53Speaker 2: Uh, this is mad ex more of a comment, but
- 18:57Speaker 2: thanks again, gentlemen. I haven't comment. And then since I
- 19:00Speaker 2: invited Alan to dinner. But I make sure that I
- 19:03Speaker 2: never missed my hour of therapy. Of course, the invite
- 19:07Speaker 2: is still uh still still.
- 19:10Speaker 4: When I get back from Vegas, we'll go to dinner.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Once got his info there, so.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Very nice.
- 19:18Speaker 4: We'll pass along my phone number or email or something.
- 19:21Speaker 1: He said, no Italian, No Italian. Uh, good guests. We hoo.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Both are Swansea.
- 19:31Speaker 3: That that's that's Those are two towns right eastern Providence. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 3: another he's one of those.
- 19:38Speaker 1: How far is that from you?
- 19:40Speaker 3: An hour and five minutes are and ten minutes that's
- 19:42Speaker 3: on traffic.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta take a lot of backgrowth to get
- 19:47Speaker 3: to those towns.
- 19:48Speaker 2: You were only off by one town looking forward to me?
- 19:50Speaker 2: Oh when we went me and you?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Yeah, did we go there? Is that where we went?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Did we go to? When we went to eat?
- 19:56Speaker 4: Go to No Hope.
- 19:56Speaker 3: It's very nice roobet I I caddy for a beautifularia.
- 20:02Speaker 4: A lot of money there. Yeah, really good dinner.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Actually, no, he actually said I'd love for me to join.
- 20:11Speaker 1: That's very nice to you. I didn't know it was
- 20:13Speaker 1: that far from Allen. I thought it was closer.
- 20:15Speaker 4: For some reason, I'll figure it out.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Is that a real buck gun.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Uh, this is this is a big fan of the
- 20:23Speaker 2: show for years. By the way, I've known this name
- 20:25Speaker 2: for years.
- 20:26Speaker 4: The show hasn't been on that long, so I know
- 20:29Speaker 4: this guy.
- 20:29Speaker 2: This guy's been going. This guy's been commented on Twitter
- 20:32Speaker 2: and stuff for years. Why is he live?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Guy?
- 20:35Speaker 2: I hope I'm pronouncing that right. Thanks for asking my
- 20:37Speaker 2: question to Boston. Love listening to you both talking sports,
- 20:41Speaker 2: betting and such. Cheers you both have a great weekend,
- 20:44Speaker 2: great show. And he says, I have a Okay, well
- 20:48Speaker 2: maybe I don't know. You're gonna be he's he He says,
- 20:52Speaker 2: I wish I could stop buying slo So I'm guessing
- 20:54Speaker 2: he can't get there.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I was thinking he could get there. So yeah, anyway,
- 21:00Speaker 1: this is Uh. These people really would love to but
- 21:03Speaker 1: it's it's just so tough.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Airfares are out of control. Ad you just look, you
- 21:08Speaker 2: gotta steal airfare.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Oh that's for June, not for not for the Oh.
- 21:14Speaker 1: That's right for you.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Alan's going for the World Series. He found a Jet Blue.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Well, good thing I did it before we bombed her
- 21:20Speaker 3: on because yeah, yeah, price was just skyrockets.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Youeel prices just skyrocket.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but don't worry about it.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Trump said, no, drill, baby, drill, We'll get those gas

- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah he got a Alan, you got you got? Did
- 21:32Speaker 1: you get you? You did get the blue mints? Right,

- 21:35Speaker 3: Of course, what do you do for like six hundred
- 21:37Speaker 3: bucks or something?
- 21:37Speaker 1: Though?
- 21:38Speaker 4: Yeah, ridiculous, fair.
- 21:40Speaker 1: That's sick.
- 21:41Speaker 3: It was like on sixteen hundred, they had three flights
- 21:43Speaker 3: sixteen hundred, fourteen hundred, six hundred, Okay, I'm taking that one.
- 21:48Speaker 3: But they didn't have the individual pod seats available on
- 21:51Speaker 3: any of them. It's it's like it's almost like they're
- 21:53Speaker 3: they're locky nose up for their VIPs or something, right, right,
- 21:58Speaker 3: I packed them all and there were no single pond
- 22:00Speaker 3: things available. Those are amazing, They are amazing.
- 22:03Speaker 2: What Alan's saying is Jeff blue in the first class,
- 22:06Speaker 2: it's two seats, one seat, two seats, one seat, two seats.
- 22:09Speaker 2: The one you get, you're basically getting the size of
- 22:13Speaker 2: an entire row, which would be.
- 22:15Speaker 1: A row three in the back.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Uh, you get your own giant pods and you know
- 22:20Speaker 2: it's a lay down crazy, It's crazy.
- 22:22Speaker 1: That's my favorite.
- 22:23Speaker 3: I I I flew on a I flew on a
- 22:26Speaker 3: Jeft blue last year. They were all individual pause in
- 22:29Speaker 3: first class and they were bigger. There were bigger rooms
- 22:33Speaker 3: than it was called the mansion seating. They had two
- 22:37Speaker 3: piece that you can lie on on. They had a
- 22:39Speaker 3: TV that swiveled so you can actually lie on any
- 22:42Speaker 3: place on the on the on the thing and put
- 22:44Speaker 3: the TV anywhere you wanted.
- 22:45Speaker 4: It was fucking crazy.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Unbelievable, and they did cuss from from five to four entrez.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Oh, okay, that's right about that. They give you like
- 22:56Speaker 1: five on trail.
- 22:57Speaker 4: They just give you their choices three out of five.
- 22:58Speaker 4: But they all had four in this one.
- 23:01Speaker 3: But that commodated me because I don't know how to
- 23:03Speaker 3: tell him I am lactosa tolerant. There's no place to do.
- 23:06Speaker 1: It on the thing, right, Oh okay, okay.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Maybe if I sam kosher or something.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I don't know, well vegetarian, but vegetarian won't do it
- 23:13Speaker 3: because then there's cheese a ball. Yeah, I don't. I
- 23:15Speaker 3: don't know. No one's been able to explain it to
- 23:17Speaker 3: me how to check off the dairy restriction.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But okay, uh, this is more of a comment. With
- 23:23Speaker 1: this two names, I only know one of that I
- 23:24Speaker 1: only know one of the names. I know.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I know Leep Pete hey Iland remember the staring Us
- 23:29Speaker 2: line and Sunda Night to with a leap pe and
- 23:30Speaker 2: sidekick Donnie Bader.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Did you know Donnie Bater?
- 23:34Speaker 3: I listened Lee Pete is slightly before my time. Absolute
- 23:37Speaker 3: legend though I used to listen to the last time
- 23:40Speaker 3: I remember listening to it was when I was leaving
- 23:42Speaker 3: Las Vegas to drive back to Maine. I went to
- 23:44Speaker 3: Maine every summer from Vegas, and Uh, by the time
- 23:47Speaker 3: I hate Utah, I could still hear it, and then uh,
- 23:51Speaker 3: about one hundred miles into Utah, I finally lost the signal.
- 23:54Speaker 3: But it was great to listen to him. But that's
- 23:55Speaker 3: when I was new to Vegas and it was all exciting,
- 23:58Speaker 3: and I'm listening to some you know guy who was
- 24:00Speaker 3: speaking my language. It was it was sure, Yeah, he
- 24:03Speaker 3: was great. Both little I heard of him, he was great,
- 24:07Speaker 3: but I heard he was an absolute legend.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Both passed away, unfortunately.
- 24:10Speaker 2: But Bader was a ticket writer who was excellent at
- 24:13Speaker 2: college basketball. Also, any stories about the Polish maverick who
- 24:17Speaker 2: built Vegas World, Bob Stupek. He ran a money halfway
- 24:20Speaker 2: through the building in the Stratosphere a real character. I
- 24:23Speaker 2: remember him with Phyllis Maguire was with his girlfriend.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Thanks to both.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I met Bob a couple of times down at the
- 24:29Speaker 2: Golden Nugget. He was very, very nice, very nice.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Uh. Any interaction with Bob Stuepeck at all alan.
- 24:34Speaker 3: The only time I remember him coming is when I
- 24:36Speaker 3: was with Stewie Hunger and it was single deck blackjack
- 24:40Speaker 3: and Stupac came over and said, yeah, go ahead and
- 24:43Speaker 3: deal to him because and then Stewie of course told
- 24:46Speaker 3: him what the last card in the the at the
- 24:47Speaker 3: bottom was h.
- 24:50Speaker 4: And yeah, he didn't give a shit. He was great.
- 24:52Speaker 4: He just didn't give a fuck.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I think he was at one of my uh Norman
- 24:56Speaker 3: holding tables once to he was Yeah, total gentleman from
- 24:59Speaker 3: from the in a moment interaction I had.
- 25:01Speaker 4: But I love Las.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Vegas wrote, uh uh. Las Vegas wrote, I loved his uh.
- 25:05Speaker 3: His old hotel was great.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I was never in there.
- 25:10Speaker 4: It was fantastic. Was epic? Was it like he had craps?
- 25:14Speaker 4: He had crapless craps. He's the all only had that.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Like he was way ahead of the game. His lounge
- 25:19Speaker 3: was great. I saw Bob Anderson there at his lounge,
- 25:22Speaker 3: my favorite contact, which we're going to see him. Yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 3: we're going to that wherever the hell of years, I'm
- 25:27Speaker 3: going to see.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Him, Bob, Bob. I watched the Sinatra show he did
- 25:31Speaker 1: Blew Me Away. I couldn't believe how good he was.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Wow, beyond good.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:36Speaker 4: It was a great imperson.
- 25:37Speaker 1: He was a great singer, great singer, great singer. UH
- 25:40Speaker 1: comes to the Italian American Club once or twice a year.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I hope it's I hope as well. I'm there.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I think he's down in Florida. I think he lives
- 25:47Speaker 1: in Florida. I'm almost positive.
- 25:49Speaker 3: But yeah, when Vegas went pitter, he went to Missouri
- 25:53Speaker 3: and performed there for a while. But then he came back.
- 25:55Speaker 3: He was doing a show at UH. I forget where
- 25:58Speaker 3: when I When I moved away from there ten years ago,
- 26:00Speaker 3: he was doing some regular show that was fronting some
- 26:05Speaker 3: big show. I saw him open for Andy Williams. Wow
- 26:09Speaker 3: Williams Christmas show, Yeah, and Williams.
- 26:12Speaker 4: I got an eyewin.
- 26:12Speaker 3: It was at the Hilton, actually, but I went to
- 26:15Speaker 3: see Bob Anderson didn't give a shit about Andy Williams. Sure,
- 26:18Speaker 3: I remember straining.
- 26:19Speaker 4: To my father, I said, I guess we're not going
- 26:20Speaker 4: to hear a fiddler on.
- 26:21Speaker 3: The roof of Medley here, right.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah. No.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I actually like Andy Williams too though. That the Sweater
- 26:27Speaker 2: Things Christmas song is pretty cool. But Bob Anderson blew
- 26:31Speaker 2: me away when I seen him. I only seen him once,
- 26:33Speaker 2: and I wasn't expected to see what I seen.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That's how good he was. I couldn't believe it.
- 26:37Speaker 3: I probably saw him.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Probably saw him twenty five times.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Wow.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw him every time I could. I saw
- 26:45Speaker 3: him at I saw him at Palace Station. I saw

- 28:27Speaker 3: He's got five Bracelet's see final tabled every decade of
- 28:30Speaker 3: the World Series seventies, eighties, nineties, two thousand and twenty twenties.
- 28:35Speaker 3: He's not not. He helped run the World Series when
- 28:38Speaker 3: it first began. He worked with Eric Drake. His hats
- 28:42Speaker 3: will legendary. Everyone loves the guy. Not in the Poker
- 28:44Speaker 3: Hall of Fame just absolute disgrace. Another another ridiculous, Uh,
- 28:49Speaker 3: Poker Hall of Fame, Absolutely ridiculous. Him not being in
- 28:51Speaker 3: is just crazy.
- 28:53Speaker 1: How old is he?
- 28:54Speaker 3: Eighty to eighty three? Yeah, and he finally started looking
- 28:58Speaker 3: at too, but he's still hanging in there.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I'll get him there.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 2: That was m Munchie's fifty eight asking that question before.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Thank you, Uh, Tyler, and wow, this is some name here,
- 29:11Speaker 2: Tyler and meet okay, just say Tyler Tyler. When I
- 29:16Speaker 2: first heard Allan, I thought he was crazy for saying
- 29:19Speaker 2: Roy Williams coach, k et cetera couldn't coach. But he
- 29:22Speaker 2: was totally right. He was also correct on Lonardi and
- 29:26Speaker 2: all the Power conference what's that fraud Arty?
- 29:31Speaker 1: Fraud Arty fraud Arty.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Right and and and uh, all of the power conferences
- 29:37Speaker 2: pushing their way into controlling the tournament absolutely correct, And
- 29:42Speaker 2: do you feel do you.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Still feel that way this year?
- 29:44Speaker 5: Yes, right, of course, I mean him this year, but well,
- 29:49Speaker 5: you know they will like even if they get it,
- 29:51Speaker 5: like I guarantee Saint Mary's like an eight or nine seed,
- 29:54Speaker 5: because Saint Mary's is very good and could win a
- 29:56Speaker 5: couple of games.
- 29:56Speaker 3: But no, we can't have you know, those pesky mid
- 29:59Speaker 3: majors hanging around. You'll see mid majors in the eight
- 30:01Speaker 3: nine bracket that are dangerous, like Saint Louis utass Dight, uh,
- 30:06Speaker 3: Saint Mary's. Those types will be an eight or nine
- 30:12Speaker 3: is my guess. Okay, maybe maybe a seven or eleven.
- 30:17Speaker 3: So they play the two seed one way or another,
- 30:18Speaker 3: they'll get them out of there quick because they could
- 30:21Speaker 3: beat a lot of three and four seeds.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Oscar Ranierrez does Alan bet the n I T should
- 30:28Speaker 2: be a great field this year?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Question mark question.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Mark Yes, yes, I bet anything I can.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Okay, Allenson, Will you do the n I T Tournament
- 30:37Speaker 1: this year? Wils Okay, so yeah.
- 30:39Speaker 3: In fact, I could talk about that on Tuesday for
- 30:41Speaker 3: this time. If we get through the games. I don't
- 30:43Speaker 3: think we will. Opus it's a bunch of bunch of teams.
- 30:46Speaker 3: In an hour. We do it for an hour, right.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we can go a little bit longer though, that's fine.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Oh, we can do an n T show.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Uh where does Alan think?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Okay, this is Vaughn Schaffer recapping the show from the
- 31:01Speaker 2: Phoenix ago.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Allen thinks Purdue as a top five or.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Sixteen Illinois can win it all UCLA rounding it to
- 31:07Speaker 2: form what what do you think this?
- 31:09Speaker 1: This was?
- 31:09Speaker 2: I guess he's actually laughing though. Any of these teams
- 31:13Speaker 2: still in your TOPA?
- 31:17Speaker 4: Purdue? Uh, Purdue, they are two top players, are not?
- 31:22Speaker 3: And that game against Wisconsin, the last game of the
- 31:24Speaker 3: year was a real stinker, and and and Wisconsin was
- 31:27Speaker 3: without their starting center, who was massively important.
- 31:29Speaker 4: They really lack rim protection without him.
- 31:31Speaker 3: And and there was a complete throwaway game from Wisconsin
- 31:35Speaker 3: and Wisconsin still beat him. That was disturbing. On top
- 31:39Speaker 3: of the fact that I believe uh Michigan went in
- 31:42Speaker 3: there and ran them out of the gym. Uh So,
- 31:44Speaker 3: clearly they're a notch below the elite. However, they have
- 31:49Speaker 3: the best point guard in the country and and uh
- 31:53Speaker 3: and they have a very very very good coach. And
- 31:58Speaker 3: you know, sometimes it's good to be the hunted and
- 32:02Speaker 3: once again they're kind of like the underdog role. So
- 32:04Speaker 3: I could see them final for it. They're not good
- 32:08Speaker 3: enough to win the whole thing, but but no one
- 32:10Speaker 3: is is. It's a very it's very very narrow. Who
- 32:13Speaker 3: can win the whole thing? Michigan, Duke, Florida. Maybe Yukon
- 32:19Speaker 3: that's it. Maybe Maybe I don't think Arizona. I mean,
- 32:22Speaker 3: they they've done nothing wrong, but I just don't think
- 32:24Speaker 3: they're gonna win. I think they're gonna put a clicker in.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I think I think Yukon's the one like sleeper team,
- 32:30Speaker 3: if you want to call them that.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yukon is a twenty to one.
- 32:35Speaker 2: By the way, Yeah, it ain't enough, Okay.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Probably not like they're still there are three pike dog
- 32:42Speaker 3: to the elite teams, and they're gonna have to beat
- 32:43Speaker 3: two of them at least and probably win as a
- 32:47Speaker 3: small favorite. So what's three points of dollars sixty? Yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 3: so maybe twenty to one is not unreasonable.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Just to give some people the idea what we're talking
- 32:56Speaker 1: about here. Michigan.
- 32:57Speaker 4: Well, we had Firman last week. They won the Southern Conference.
- 33:00Speaker 4: I heard one.
- 33:00Speaker 3: I was really happy.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I was gonna get on I was gonna, okay, yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: get into that after I get let me get these
- 33:05Speaker 1: all right into that, just so people know Michigan and
- 33:08Speaker 1: Duke around plus three fifty, Arizona plus five to one,
- 33:11Speaker 1: Florida seven to one.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Yeah, this is absurd, though it's absurd.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's too low on all that.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Of course, of course, if there's no no, you're getting
- 33:20Speaker 3: screwed on the s. Maybe early in the year if
- 33:23Speaker 3: you buy something sneaky and you grab one hundred and
- 33:26Speaker 3: one on someone, that might be like thirty forty to one.
- 33:28Speaker 3: But even then your regis in that big it sounds.
- 33:31Speaker 1: There's yes and nose. It's like circle circle will put
- 33:35Speaker 1: up you know, we'll dupe win it all. No minus
- 33:38Speaker 1: four and four.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fair, right, right, that's fair. Even though they
- 33:42Speaker 3: gaps are too big. They they could do better, but
- 33:45Speaker 3: it's better than nothing. And again, I I Matt Betcalf,
- 33:49Speaker 3: who ran the circuit to start for many years and
- 33:51Speaker 3: was just an amazing book maker and really tried hard
- 33:53Speaker 3: to to do right for the industry. He told me
- 33:58Speaker 3: he put the s nose up because he heard me.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Do I think it was Gil Alexander show, and I
- 34:01Speaker 3: talked about how the only fair future books that yes,
- 34:04Speaker 3: no future book. He heard that and agreed with it
- 34:06Speaker 3: and put it up. So I've had some influence.
- 34:11Speaker 2: The next guy, very relevant to our topic right here,
- 34:15Speaker 2: cloud Town four says, I was able to get Duke
- 34:18Speaker 2: not to win the title at minus three to ten.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I'll tell you right now, cloud Town, great bet. It's
- 34:25Speaker 2: a great bet. You could take three to fifteen now,
- 34:27Speaker 2: I mean it maybe more. I mean it's a great bet.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I'd like to know where you got that at though,
- 34:32Speaker 2: just let me know if you could just respond there.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I just want to know what.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Doesn't exist, because if it existed, it would be better
- 34:38Speaker 3: up just.
- 34:38Speaker 2: For the future. I like to know who had that.
- 34:40Speaker 2: He said he'd bet a twenty five thousand dollars wager.
- 34:42Speaker 1: That was his next line.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Wow, So I just wanted to know.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Wait, good bet.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a good bet. I mean, you know,
- 34:51Speaker 3: they're they're they're they're pick what they're gonna be picked twice.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Probably that's already three to one.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Never mind the chance that you know that someone upsets them.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Steve Ludwig, who has commented on a lot of my
- 35:04Speaker 2: shows and a lot of our shows too, love both
- 35:07Speaker 2: of you guys, straight from the mind and heart and conversations.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Can't wait to meet you both to the West Gate
- 35:11Speaker 2: on the eighteenth that you mentioned would work better for
- 35:14Speaker 2: some folks who can't make the seventeenth. Yes, Steve, I'm
- 35:17Speaker 2: sure you're hearing this now. I guarantee you have a
- 35:19Speaker 2: big crowd and meet at both meet and greets.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Yes, Steve, the.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Eighteenth, seventeenth and twenty second. Yeah, seventeenth. You again, he
- 35:28Speaker 3: has hell, Steve, he has to tell us.
- 35:30Speaker 4: If he's gonna be there the twenty second.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Okay, if people are staying the whole weekend, which makes sense,
- 35:35Speaker 3: and they're willing to sacrifice the early game on Sunday
- 35:38Speaker 3: to have breakfast, like I don't want to schedule. We
- 35:40Speaker 3: can't schedule all this in episode and say I'd rather
- 35:42Speaker 3: watch the games then go meet some old man, like yeah.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Right, right, right right, Yeah. Some of these people are
- 35:55Speaker 2: are really funny.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Some of the things they say.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Okay, jerks, tickets all right in town. Eighteen to twenty second,
- 36:03Speaker 2: same thing, buddy, going to be a busy weekend. It's
- 36:05Speaker 2: meant to meet up and you guys would be great.
- 36:07Speaker 2: H So we're looking at twenty second there's so many
- 36:09Speaker 2: people on this thing that I that's saying the same
- 36:12Speaker 2: exact thing.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Wow. Wow, God it's another guy.
- 36:15Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Well, we've got to have an account so I can
- 36:17Speaker 3: tell mom, you know the half the restaurant if need be.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Yeah, no, this is there's a lot of yeah, a
- 36:26Speaker 2: lot of people saying some things here. Appreciate you guys,
- 36:29Speaker 2: and just stay on me. Stay on my Twitter. Just
- 36:32Speaker 2: just I read Twitter every day, So just stay on
- 36:35Speaker 2: the Twitter and we'll arrange. I read my What I
- 36:39Speaker 2: do is I read my notification.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I don't read Twitter. Like who has time to read
- 36:43Speaker 1: Twitter all day?
- 36:44Speaker 3: Like?
- 36:44Speaker 4: I know what I mean.
- 36:45Speaker 3: You're going to peddle through all the bullshit, all the
- 36:47Speaker 3: all the haters right right right right?
- 36:50Speaker 1: Okay?
- 36:51Speaker 2: Uh Nemo Ryan's voice, Alan, I share your setup. It
- 36:55Speaker 2: about money. I'm not rich, but I'm happy and I
- 36:58Speaker 2: work hard every day. But for fun, and say you
- 37:00Speaker 2: could have a wave wave of lawns and have a
- 37:04Speaker 2: perfect light life set up, what would you look for?
- 37:08Speaker 2: What would that look like?
- 37:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what would that look like?
- 37:11Speaker 2: Daily life? You're placing the gambling world, society, etcetera. Love
- 37:14Speaker 2: you buddy, So in other words, what what would be
- 37:17Speaker 2: the perfect setup in life for you?
- 37:19Speaker 1: And what would daily life look like? Interesting?
- 37:27Speaker 4: Yeah, well perfect life wasn't this because it ends.
- 37:30Speaker 3: So there's that. I think, Uh, maybe having fifty fewer
- 37:36Speaker 3: IQ points might be better for me.
- 37:39Speaker 4: That's a start.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Uh wow.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd own a great day and I'd have a
- 37:45Speaker 3: cabin on two hundred acres in the middle of nowhere,
- 37:49Speaker 3: probably with a gym nearby, a sauna for sure, and
- 37:56Speaker 3: uh some good restaurants. I don't need much more that
- 38:00Speaker 3: a movie theater and turntable, which I do own, so
- 38:05Speaker 3: I have part of it.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so you got to what movies you go?
- 38:11Speaker 3: I The first course I signed up for at PEN
- 38:14Speaker 3: was reviewing and criticism. I watched Cisco Need But every week.
- 38:17Speaker 3: This is back when they were on PBS Channel two
- 38:19Speaker 3: in Boston. Yeah. I was a big movie buff. I
- 38:22Speaker 3: I wanted to be a film critic. That was my
- 38:24Speaker 3: initial goal. And then I realized I couldn't. I found
- 38:27Speaker 3: out quickly I couldn't write, and I couldn't write. Pressure
- 38:30Speaker 3: to write the the movie review. I remember I wrote
- 38:34Speaker 3: my first movie review. I thought it was great and
- 38:36Speaker 3: I had red lines everywhere. You know, be more succinct.
- 38:38Speaker 3: The good news I learned how to write that that
- 38:40Speaker 3: I did learn and that's kind of a lost art
- 38:42Speaker 3: and almost irrelevant now with computers, but it's it's still
- 38:46Speaker 3: better to be able to write from the heart and
- 38:47Speaker 3: write well.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Uh so, yeah, I think that's yeah. What more do
- 38:53Speaker 4: I need? Some friends?
- 38:55Speaker 3: You need this, a great band of jammasana and a
- 38:59Speaker 3: seat on two hundred acres. And I'm learning to donate
- 39:03Speaker 3: to save elephants. Yeah, that's probably about it. I have
- 39:07Speaker 3: my turntable.
- 39:08Speaker 2: So uh, alan you said, sona, those are things are
- 39:13Speaker 2: important to me. I think, do you do any spar
- 39:16Speaker 2: sauna now? Dry sauna?
- 39:18Speaker 3: No, there is none, but I will in Vegas, Okay,
- 39:21Speaker 3: the athletic club has a sauna, and the other gym
- 39:23Speaker 3: out there as a sauna too. Both gyms that I
- 39:27Speaker 3: go to have a sona and the place I'm staying
- 39:28Speaker 3: out will have a steam room. So not quite a
- 39:31Speaker 3: good but yeah, saunas are incredibly healthy. They triggered these
- 39:34Speaker 3: things called heat proteins, which are anti inflammatories, and only
- 39:38Speaker 3: dry suna is gonna do it. The studies. My buddy
- 39:41Speaker 3: had a dry suna when he was living at the
- 39:43Speaker 3: loft place you pick me up that on near the Archestrat. Yep,
- 39:47Speaker 3: great building. But they had a sauna and I went
- 39:49Speaker 3: there every day. I never felt better in my life
- 39:52Speaker 3: half hour twenty five minutes and they never felt better.
- 39:56Speaker 1: It's funny. I always thought the steam room was great,
- 39:58Speaker 1: but the dry sauna has they.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Yeah, it's they've gone back and forth.
- 40:01Speaker 3: You used to think the red light Sona was better,
- 40:03Speaker 3: but now the dry sonor again is better.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you go.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Anytime you shock your system, it's typically good because it rings.
- 40:10Speaker 3: You know, you're jumping cold water. It shocks your body,
- 40:13Speaker 3: and your body regulates, like when you fast. Your body
- 40:16Speaker 3: is being shocked. It regulates.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Do you go after your workout shower? Then you're going
- 40:21Speaker 1: to you finish with the.
- 40:23Speaker 3: I work out and I go in to Soner and
- 40:24Speaker 3: then I shower because you sweat like a pig when you're.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Okay, and then and then you'll take a cold, cold shower.
- 40:34Speaker 3: No I'm not a gay, Yeah, no, I mean yeah,
- 40:39Speaker 3: I like the Soner. Yeah, even if people there, I
- 40:43Speaker 3: don't mind because I actually can show off, so that's
- 40:46Speaker 3: good too.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Someone in the comments, uh said that you're quick to
- 40:52Speaker 2: show off. Yeah, he shows off. That's what he does,
- 40:54Speaker 2: that's what he's doing it for.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Show off. I mean some people in coge I don't
- 40:59Speaker 1: know why I'm not.
- 41:01Speaker 4: I'm not doing this my shirt off.
- 41:03Speaker 2: If you only have something bad to say, didn't your
- 41:05Speaker 2: mother tell you, your father teach you, don't say it,
- 41:08Speaker 2: You're not nice, say don't say it, don't watch. We
- 41:11Speaker 2: don't need you to be honest with you. If you
- 41:13Speaker 2: want to say something stupid or something bad. Now we're
- 41:15Speaker 2: both open to constructive criticism. I'm not saying if you
- 41:19Speaker 2: want to say.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Something properly, yeah, and like here comment he can say
- 41:26Speaker 3: it to my face.
- 41:28Speaker 4: That might be better.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna read it.
- 41:30Speaker 2: No stupid thing, Yeah, just a stupid thing. And then
- 41:35Speaker 2: and and and uh. But people actually come to our
- 41:38Speaker 2: our our defense here too. Sometimes you know people on
- 41:42Speaker 2: their anonymity or telephone tough guys.
- 41:44Speaker 1: You find that all the time.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Yeah, uh me how self?
- 41:47Speaker 2: This guy comments a lot, Jimmy g u Jimmy g
- 41:51Speaker 2: had All right, Allan, what is your favorite or what
- 41:54Speaker 2: what you think is the most compelling conspirat theory?
- 42:02Speaker 1: Do you have any conspiracy theories that are compelling that
- 42:09Speaker 1: you that you that you agree.
- 42:10Speaker 4: With it's an interesting question. I don't I don't U like,
- 42:14Speaker 4: I don't think there's too many.
- 42:15Speaker 3: I think most conspiracy theories are actually true, right, like
- 42:19Speaker 3: the whole COVID thing, like we're all to not stop
- 42:22Speaker 3: on that. I'm sure there's alien life forms out there.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I doubt we have them within our grasp like some
- 42:30Speaker 3: people claim. So I guess that's a conspiracy theory.
- 42:32Speaker 1: That's kind of a great, great one.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't believe that we have aliens in our
- 42:39Speaker 3: that we know of that area fifty one or whatever
- 42:43Speaker 3: they're claiming, right right, it seems like they.
- 42:46Speaker 4: Aliens in our country from another planet.
- 42:49Speaker 3: That that wouldn't I don't think that's actually inconceivable that
- 42:54Speaker 3: someone will lay ahead of us with all the computers
- 42:56Speaker 3: and stuff and.
- 42:57Speaker 1: And uh we lost them, jas we lost them all right,
- 43:07Speaker 1: all right? So it was for that little time out.
- 43:10Speaker 4: It wasn't mogi. I shouldn't have played movie, yeah.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Alan, Uh, you know, it's amazing when.
- 43:18Speaker 3: You live there, So I gotta think about that perfect
- 43:20Speaker 3: life thing. I think I got most of the things
- 43:22Speaker 3: I enjoy uh in there. Yeah, music, movies, a couple
- 43:26Speaker 3: of good restaurants and uh Jim.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Sonner and a great name. Yeah, that's probably about it.
- 43:32Speaker 1: That's pretty good. I didn't know if you have an answer,
- 43:34Speaker 1: but that.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Of course you would spot machines.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Actually, gotta have slot machines. Yeah, a little bit better
- 43:41Speaker 2: luck this week at slot machines.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Then, yeah, yesterday was good. Yeah, yes, they was very good.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I lost today, but that's okay.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so. It's pretty close to you too. You
- 43:54Speaker 1: don't you don't You don't take steam, do you? I
- 43:56Speaker 1: don't know. Do you take steam?
- 43:57Speaker 4: And swants?
- 43:58Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 44:01Speaker 3: I guess kind of right, okay at times kind of
- 44:05Speaker 3: like sometimes when you're steaming you don't know it. It's
- 44:08Speaker 3: sometimes you're tilting, you don't know it. No, it's yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 3: sometimes you know, you stay on a machine you shouldn't.
- 44:13Speaker 3: And right, but I don't steam in poker, that's right.
- 44:18Speaker 3: But people could subconstantly.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Steam and not know it.
- 44:20Speaker 3: They're not aware that they're making poor decisions because they're
- 44:23Speaker 3: on tilt. It's a it's a fine line. And you know,
- 44:28Speaker 3: we're all human and we're all gonna tilt at some point.
- 44:32Speaker 3: We all have a breaking point, right.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Uh.
- 44:37Speaker 2: The kid Hilly Local Kid all right, of the top
- 44:40Speaker 2: ten rated teams, who would he play.
- 44:44Speaker 1: The know to win the title. Alan is the goat
- 44:47Speaker 1: of college basketball. Thank you very much, fellas.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Who would you play the know on the top ten teams?
- 44:53Speaker 1: Might? I was gonna say, you probably play.
- 44:55Speaker 4: On the line.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Everything's everything's based on a price, like right, you know,
- 44:58Speaker 3: if you can lay three to one against anyone, you
- 45:01Speaker 3: do it. You can lay four to one against anyone,
- 45:03Speaker 3: you do it. But after that it gets a little dicey.
- 45:06Speaker 3: I would, I commented, I think Arizona's going to crash out,
- 45:09Speaker 3: So yeah, I would bet no on Arizona. Probably lay
- 45:13Speaker 3: a lot there. Probably you'd be stealing eight eight to
- 45:17Speaker 3: one or nine o one h maybe.
- 45:22Speaker 2: And they put those prices up with the yes in
- 45:25Speaker 2: mind where people betting the yes.
- 45:26Speaker 1: So those prices are put up there.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Yeah a nose no no, But so the nose or
- 45:32Speaker 2: the value a lot of the times is what I'm
- 45:34Speaker 2: telling people.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Let's speaking of the yes. This was the email we
- 45:38Speaker 1: got from Kevin Well.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I don't know what on the top ten days, I
- 45:41Speaker 3: would bet no one, probably any everyone, but farther in Yukon,
- 45:46Speaker 3: you know, But again it's based on price, but farther
- 45:48Speaker 3: and Yukon in my top two favorites. Even though Duke
- 45:51Speaker 3: and Michigan probably are everyone's top two favorites, I'm never
- 45:53Speaker 3: going to be with the grain, and uh, Michigan clearly has.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Even though Duke beat the Michigan I thought.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Was a little better of that game, and and I
- 46:04Speaker 3: watched it very objectively. I wasn't involved with the game. Uh.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I probably should have been because I had the game
- 46:09Speaker 3: pick and it was three, but I didn't. I hated
- 46:11Speaker 3: my number, which goes freeze with the trust your number.
- 46:14Speaker 3: But I think Michigan was better. I think they played again.
- 46:16Speaker 3: I think Michigan would beat him. Got a lot of
- 46:19Speaker 3: a lot of calls.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Minus six fifty just to let you know really that
- 46:24Speaker 1: that's really well.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Yeah, so the no, no, no minus six fifty. Yeah,
- 46:30Speaker 3: I would say it's bulletline stealing.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Wow.
- 46:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you have a lot of ev there.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Like all right, So you're rather they're going to be
- 46:37Speaker 3: a dog in several games.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Then than laying six hundred on Florida.
- 46:42Speaker 3: You'd rather No, I.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Like Florida, but six hundreds too low. Yeah, it's all
- 46:46Speaker 4: too low.
- 46:47Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 46:48Speaker 4: I think I do think Florida's gonna win it.
- 46:50Speaker 3: And six hundreds, no bargain. That's probably what the right
- 46:52Speaker 3: price is this. I'm rated higher. I got them rated
- 46:56Speaker 3: the same as Duke and Michigan. But now Duke's down
- 46:59Speaker 3: a starter for the US of the Year and the
- 47:01Speaker 3: starting center is out for this tournament. They should This
- 47:05Speaker 3: is gample of a team that should dump tonight Duke.
- 47:08Speaker 3: They have two starters out. You can't afford to get
- 47:11Speaker 3: someone else hurt. Just dump the game. Get another team
- 47:16Speaker 3: into the ACC too, A Florida stay beat Duke. They'd
- 47:18Speaker 3: probably be getting the tournament.
- 47:19Speaker 1: So by the time it comes out, people are going
- 47:21Speaker 1: to see it seventeen.
- 47:24Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm just saying that's what they should do. That's
- 47:26Speaker 3: not normally what they do witness. So here's an example Virginia.
- 47:30Speaker 3: This is actually pretty relevant. Virginia ACC tournament. They had
- 47:33Speaker 3: seven guys dressed up. They had three guys hurt and
- 47:36Speaker 3: guys playing hurt. They literally had a beat up team
- 47:39Speaker 3: with guys out and guys hurt, and they were.
- 47:42Speaker 4: A one seed no matter what, right right, They won
- 47:45Speaker 4: the ACC tournament.
- 47:47Speaker 3: They won three games in three days and then got
- 47:50Speaker 3: destroyed by Marilyn Baltimore County. They were never in the game,
- 47:52Speaker 3: they had nothing left in a tank. Instead of dumping
- 47:56Speaker 3: the first game with all the crippled players they had,
- 47:59Speaker 3: getting them re have somewhat getting ready for the Thursday game,
- 48:03Speaker 3: they didn't. So they won the battle, but they lost
- 48:05Speaker 3: the war. Yeah, and that's that's what all the you know,
- 48:08Speaker 3: that's what all these seems to look at. If I
- 48:09Speaker 3: were a big major, I might dump the whole year.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Don't show anyone what you're doing. Come out and play
- 48:14Speaker 3: man the man all year when you're actually putting some
- 48:16Speaker 3: matchup zone in and and spring it during the tournament
- 48:20Speaker 3: interesting start, you know, just jumble your lineups occasionally. You
- 48:24Speaker 3: can't just create bad habits all the time. But I'm
- 48:26Speaker 3: making a point, I'm exaggerating, But that's that's because the
- 48:29Speaker 3: only thing that matters is the conference tournament right right now.
- 48:33Speaker 4: Sometimes the way.
- 48:34Speaker 3: They're they're staggering it now where the Sun Belt you
- 48:36Speaker 3: had to win seven games and seven days, you are
- 48:38Speaker 3: at the bottom. Obviously, you can't dump the whole year
- 48:39Speaker 3: because you're not gonna win seven games in seven days.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Although Jordan Sell them won five and five, but they
- 48:44Speaker 3: had nothing left at the sixth, especially against the first game.
- 48:47Speaker 4: So yeah, I won that one actually, But.
- 48:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I I I the people, but no one looks
- 48:52Speaker 3: at big pictures, right, That's what greed gets involved. Like
- 48:56Speaker 3: if everyone just didn't overdo parlay cards and all the
- 48:58Speaker 3: rest of that, they'd still be here. But you're three
- 49:01Speaker 3: D people. And then people brag about how smart they
- 49:05Speaker 3: are with the parlay cards and tell everybody else and
- 49:07Speaker 3: instead of just you know, trying to win a little bit.
- 49:10Speaker 2: What Al's talking about is the sportsbooks don't have the
- 49:12Speaker 2: parlay cards anymore. Where they had NFL games, you'd bet
- 49:16Speaker 2: the you know, the slower moving lines. It's gone, though,
- 49:19Speaker 2: I can't name one place that has parlay cards.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they were a lot of fun and they
- 49:23Speaker 3: were big business for the place, but people took advantage
- 49:25Speaker 3: of it. The game would be three on a parlay
- 49:27Speaker 3: card and the quarterback would be out. Now it's seven,
- 49:29Speaker 3: and people would just pile in you know that and
- 49:31Speaker 3: one other team that was off, and just pile in
- 49:33Speaker 3: all the parlays. So even though they get involved on
- 49:35Speaker 3: a price, they really weren't right exactly, but they got greedy.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Now you don't have them. It's like if there's a
- 49:41Speaker 4: broken slot machine.
- 49:43Speaker 3: As long as you didn't go and bury that slot machine.
- 49:47Speaker 4: They're never gonna know.
- 49:49Speaker 3: So don't you want to win one hundred dollars a
- 49:51Speaker 3: day or a week for the rest of your life
- 49:54Speaker 3: or win one shot and say something ain't right here
- 49:58Speaker 3: it's but it's you know again, it's we're human.
- 50:02Speaker 2: The ones that do have it are they take the
- 50:04Speaker 2: games off the board. Now, last one was Michigan minus
- 50:07Speaker 2: four thirty on the no, so you'd say more than
- 50:10Speaker 2: no there.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I'd link to know there. Yeah, they're probably even the
- 50:13Speaker 3: biggest upside. Like what they did in that tournament Vegas
- 50:16Speaker 3: was ridiculous where they had they'd become Zaga by forty.
- 50:18Speaker 3: They had them forty down, like in the first half.
- 50:20Speaker 3: It was crazy. They buried three teams by forty. I
- 50:23Speaker 3: think it was Auburn and San Diego State and I
- 50:27Speaker 3: don't know, I don't remember, but it was impressive. They'd
- 50:30Speaker 3: be three very good teams and they had them all
- 50:31Speaker 3: forty down.
- 50:34Speaker 1: And this this was going on to the one.
- 50:35Speaker 2: This is the third or maybe the fourth, the fourth
- 50:38Speaker 2: person that said something on either Twitter or this one's
- 50:42Speaker 2: an email to Alan, uh this was about Furman.
- 50:46Speaker 1: I think it was about Furman. Yeah, Furman.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Okay, actually, actually I got those right. I don't.
- 50:53Speaker 3: I said Belmont probably was overrated, why knocking. They got
- 50:56Speaker 3: knocked out in the first round, and I thought Furman
- 50:57Speaker 3: would in the Southern Conference. Someone asked me about over
- 51:00Speaker 3: rate and underrated, and that's what I came up with.
- 51:01Speaker 3: So even even an old man picks a winner once
- 51:05Speaker 3: in a while.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Kevin, I'm not going to say your last name, but
- 51:08Speaker 2: Alan and I would love to know how you did this.
- 51:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna read you the email.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Can I please have a contact for Alan. He just
- 51:14Speaker 2: made me a lot of money from his and crack show.
- 51:16Speaker 2: I just want to personally thank him. Sixty three dollars
- 51:19Speaker 2: till a little over twenty thousand and four days, and
- 51:23Speaker 2: it wasn't possible without Alan saying something about Furman. I've
- 51:29Speaker 2: been in ten k worth of credit card debt in
- 51:31Speaker 2: two years now, and Alan helped me get completely debt free.
- 51:34Speaker 2: I'm just appreciated him, and yeah, he was just very nice,
- 51:38Speaker 2: a very nice. It goes on and on to even more,
- 51:41Speaker 2: but I'd love to know. I think Alan would too.
- 51:45Speaker 2: How you do that with sixty three dollars?
- 51:47Speaker 3: Yeah, even if he parlayed him every day on the
- 51:49Speaker 3: money line, it doesn't come close to twenty thousand.
- 51:51Speaker 4: So good for him, all accurate. Good for him. That's amazing.
- 51:55Speaker 4: So he had only yeah, but.
- 51:58Speaker 2: He had to put his own teams in there. He
- 52:00Speaker 2: had to more than that. And maybe that's what he
- 52:03Speaker 2: was trying to say.
- 52:03Speaker 4: It's not a help.
- 52:04Speaker 3: That's because I put Burma So you know, yeah, he
- 52:06Speaker 3: obviously took some initial did.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Other people reached out to me on Twitter about Furman
- 52:11Speaker 1: two and thank you?
- 52:12Speaker 3: So yeah, but just could I say something, You still
- 52:14Speaker 3: have to get the right price on it.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Like it.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Just because I like something doesn't mean that that it's
- 52:18Speaker 3: a good bet. He gave us to win the tournament,
- 52:21Speaker 3: but taking five and a half to one on him
- 52:23Speaker 3: was no bargain.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Like Alan just gave us one minus six and a
- 52:26Speaker 1: half to one. Who is that? No one, Arizona, Arizona.
- 52:30Speaker 2: If you were to say Alan, they're offering minus nine fifty, Alan,
- 52:33Speaker 2: I say, you know what, I'm not laying ten to
- 52:36Speaker 2: want it's too high. Six fifty is a good price,
- 52:38Speaker 2: you know, But exactly maybe that there's a person not
- 52:41Speaker 2: a good price.
- 52:42Speaker 3: There's a price on everything in life. You can have
- 52:44Speaker 3: a price on on. You know how many people are
- 52:46Speaker 3: gonna cross the street in the next hour like this,
- 52:49Speaker 3: You can take the price right right Arizona, Mark Lindsay,
- 52:53Speaker 3: how's that?
- 52:54Speaker 1: There you go, Mark Lindsay, No, I don't know, that's
- 52:59Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I don't know where that is.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Well you said, there you go, like like Arizona. Mark
- 53:04Speaker 3: Lindsay was the lead singer Paul Revere in the Raiders.
- 53:06Speaker 3: He had a one wonder with Arizona. It's a great song.
- 53:09Speaker 1: I thought that was an old player or something.
- 53:11Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's a one hit wonder from Mark
- 53:13Speaker 3: Lindsay who was lead singer Paul Revere and the Raiders
- 53:15Speaker 3: at the time.
- 53:16Speaker 4: We did that.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Alan was asked, You asked about all those things that
- 53:21Speaker 2: he would like to have, a turntable and stuff he'd
- 53:23Speaker 2: have to have. The turntable might be the most important
- 53:26Speaker 2: out of all those things. He has to have some music.
- 53:29Speaker 2: That's the most important one.
- 53:31Speaker 4: I did buy a turntable last year. Yeah, and it's
- 53:34Speaker 4: very very nice.
- 53:35Speaker 3: And I bought some records and I have some boys.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Where do you get them? Where do you get the
- 53:38Speaker 1: records on the bay?
- 53:38Speaker 3: Or my buddy buys and sells records for a living.
- 53:41Speaker 3: But he's got he's going to he's fighting cancer now,
- 53:43Speaker 3: so I'm not bothering him with the records. I gotta
- 53:46Speaker 3: go visit him when I get back. Actually. Uh, but
- 53:50Speaker 3: he he would tell me what to buy. He told
- 53:52Speaker 3: me some. He told me something to buy too, to
- 53:54Speaker 3: put off a side, you know, like thirty dollars. He said,
- 53:56Speaker 3: this is thirty dollars is worth a hunter right now?
- 53:58Speaker 4: Hold on, it will be worth three. So I have
- 54:00Speaker 4: I have a few of those.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Yeah, in New York, he knows.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Yeah, what were they call him?
- 54:06Speaker 2: But there was used to be one on Bleaker Street,
- 54:08Speaker 2: Bleeker Bob's, uh for the caddy corner from John's. I'm
- 54:11Speaker 2: sure it's not there anymore. But they'd have the old
- 54:14Speaker 2: record stores, so bootleg stores. You know, they had a
- 54:17Speaker 2: bootleg record stores. But the rents too high.
- 54:19Speaker 1: They have this.
- 54:20Speaker 3: There used to be a great record store on Charleston
- 54:22Speaker 3: and Las Vegas Boulevard, right next to the White the
- 54:25Speaker 3: White Uh, yes, is that place store around?
- 54:29Speaker 1: No White Cross Diner?
- 54:31Speaker 3: Oh the anymore?
- 54:33Speaker 1: They made a movie there, God, they made a movie there. Yeah.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Uh.
- 54:36Speaker 4: They had they had great food there.
- 54:39Speaker 3: They had this little old school seated diner in the
- 54:42Speaker 3: back was bent Test.
- 54:43Speaker 4: But there was a record store.
- 54:44Speaker 3: I think it was a Honesty Records maybe that sold
- 54:47Speaker 3: used records, and then when cassettes when came around, they
- 54:51Speaker 3: became a CD store and then they went out of business.
- 54:53Speaker 3: There are a couple of used record stores in Vegas.
- 54:55Speaker 4: But these get know. It's all on the internet.
- 54:57Speaker 3: You know how to price everything, but some of the
- 54:58Speaker 3: people on eBay, Uh, you don't need money or or
- 55:01Speaker 3: don't quite know the value of it because you know
- 55:04Speaker 3: it might be a one off thing, or there might
- 55:07Speaker 3: not be a lot of them, you know, and there's
- 55:08Speaker 3: there's no place to really search a price. But this
- 55:10Speaker 3: kid knows what they're all worth. So right right right,
- 55:14Speaker 3: those that I rob, I completely rob one of them.
- 55:16Speaker 3: I paid like one hundred and five dollars that it's
- 55:17Speaker 3: four it's four hundred right now? Wow?
- 55:21Speaker 4: Yeah, great, So it's three at all. So we're gonna
- 55:22Speaker 4: do that.
- 55:23Speaker 3: I put in a fucking slot machine can blow it
- 55:24Speaker 3: into ten minutes.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Hey, at least you're honest, mister.
- 55:30Speaker 4: So I don't know any other ways.
- 55:32Speaker 3: I don't know to stand the point of lying unless
- 55:34Speaker 3: you're talking to a cop. Then you'll lie of course, Alan.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Alan in California's Flip.
- 55:39Speaker 2: What do you think Charlie meant when he looked at
- 55:41Speaker 2: Bill after they want all the money.
- 55:43Speaker 1: In the end?
- 55:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I don't want to. I don't want to
- 55:45Speaker 3: answer this guy tell him that, oh yeah, because it
- 55:48Speaker 3: kind of ruins the movie. Okay, it's the end of
- 55:51Speaker 3: the movie. And and and I told someone I would
- 55:54Speaker 3: if someone didn't get it, I'd answer it. But I
- 55:55Speaker 3: don't know if all right, so here, if you don't
- 55:57Speaker 3: want to know the any complay split mute the next
- 56:00Speaker 3: because yeah, all right, so one, two, three, four, five,
- 56:07Speaker 3: so you can finish the question.
- 56:08Speaker 4: And how I think anyone's gonna ask?
- 56:12Speaker 3: Okay, after they want all the money.
- 56:14Speaker 2: After you want all the money at the end, and said,
- 56:16Speaker 2: it doesn't mean a fucking thing, does it?
- 56:19Speaker 3: And Eli says everyone knows that, right, And that's the
- 56:22Speaker 3: whole point of the movie, is Charlie was was this.
- 56:27Speaker 3: I've talked about this, this unhappy hates his job, separated
- 56:31Speaker 3: from his wife and gravitates towards his mannic I don't
- 56:34Speaker 3: give a fuck, care free gambler and gets immersed in
- 56:37Speaker 3: his world. And then they go and win all this
- 56:39Speaker 3: money but in the end it didn't change the fact
- 56:43Speaker 3: that he's fucking miserable.
- 56:44Speaker 4: It just masked it.
- 56:45Speaker 3: And he said, it doesn't mean a fucking thing, does it. No,
- 56:47Speaker 3: it doesn't, because ultimately it doesn't What does that mean.
- 56:52Speaker 3: It means you have some money, but it hasn't changed
- 56:54Speaker 3: the fact you hate your job and you separated from
- 56:55Speaker 3: your wife and you still have to deal with life
- 56:58Speaker 3: in general. So he thought that that his escape into
- 57:03Speaker 3: this craziness would solve his issues. That's what he was
- 57:07Speaker 3: But in the end he knows it was just it
- 57:08Speaker 3: was just masking them. And it's anyone who's been a
- 57:12Speaker 3: gambler and had success. Yeah, you have a temporary joy
- 57:14Speaker 3: of of of making a score, but ultimately, what difference
- 57:19Speaker 3: does it make? Right now? Granted he could have done
- 57:22Speaker 3: something good with his because it was life changing money
- 57:24Speaker 3: they won.
- 57:24Speaker 4: But it didn't.
- 57:26Speaker 3: It didn't get rid of that empty feeling he had
- 57:29Speaker 3: of being alone in the world with a job he hated.
- 57:34Speaker 3: This is I hope that answered it, but that that
- 57:36Speaker 3: that's that's what he meant, That's what he meant by it.
- 57:39Speaker 1: This this is a good ending for the show. Here
- 57:41Speaker 1: a little bit deep.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Jar alerts I'll read the whole thing, okay, because a
- 57:47Speaker 2: little bit long, but I kind of like where he's
- 57:49Speaker 2: gone with this. I think, Alan, I've heard you talk
- 57:51Speaker 2: about leaving Vegas, consulting back east and wondering if you
- 57:54Speaker 2: still have have it. I'm in the same world as you,
- 57:58Speaker 2: just from a different angle, building something that lies, that
- 58:01Speaker 2: lives and dies on trust, truth, not hype, and I
- 58:05Speaker 2: felt the same shift you described. The game didn't just change,
- 58:09Speaker 2: the world changed around it. What I've always respected is
- 58:13Speaker 2: that you carved out your own path when that actually
- 58:16Speaker 2: meant something, and you never hid the cost of living
- 58:19Speaker 2: that way.
- 58:20Speaker 1: You're one of the.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Last people who still thinks and talks about life this
- 58:24Speaker 2: way and the craft that it is not content. So
- 58:28Speaker 2: here's my question. When you look at where you are now,
- 58:31Speaker 2: the doubt, the distance from Vegas, the consulting, the reflection,
- 58:36Speaker 2: do you feel like you're losing the game or do
- 58:39Speaker 2: you feel like the game lost the kind of people
- 58:43Speaker 2: it was built for.
- 58:46Speaker 3: I think I think more of the ladder than the former.
- 58:49Speaker 3: I think I think I've lost the game because the
- 58:52Speaker 3: game lost me more than I think that triggered my
- 58:57Speaker 3: my not giving a fuck about this anymore. Uh so, Yeah,
- 59:02Speaker 3: I definitely definitely the game. The world changed and around
- 59:06Speaker 3: me and and uh created me wanting to get away
- 59:10Speaker 3: from it. Yeah, it's uh.
- 59:14Speaker 1: And he's right, everything's bullshit, pretty deep, pretty cool, pretty good.
- 59:18Speaker 3: But it's it's kind of like, uh so, like uh.
- 59:22Speaker 3: I had a couple of words of my yearbook quote.
- 59:25Speaker 3: One was independent. I always wanted to be independent.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I was wanted.
- 59:28Speaker 3: I I can't work for somebody who's because I I
- 59:31Speaker 3: if some idiot tells me what to do and I
- 59:33Speaker 3: know it ain't gonna happen like I, I wouldn't handle
- 59:37Speaker 3: it well because I would probably call him out and
- 59:39Speaker 3: being a moron, and why the fuck you got to
- 59:42Speaker 3: do that? We could do this? But yeah, and I said,
- 59:46Speaker 3: work is a good way a while away the time
- 59:47Speaker 3: and a bad way to make a living, which isn't
- 59:49Speaker 3: quite right. But because I do work hard when I'm
- 59:52Speaker 3: doing this. But that's that's what I talked about earlier.
- 59:54Speaker 3: I've lost kind of lost my fight a little bit.
- 59:56Speaker 3: I haven't worked out hard this week on the games,
- 59:59Speaker 3: and and and the results kind of reflect that a
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: little bit.
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: Uh But no, really really good question.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: And and my my path was driven almost accidental, and in
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: therapy I learned it was triggered by a Jungle Books
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: lunchbox that I got shipped on for. And I won't
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: go the whole route from there, but it's funny, how
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: how you know a Jungle Book lunchbox that I bought
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: when I was eight years old, that I got shipped
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: on for it. I triggered this loner of life that
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: I've that I've lived, and and you know I wanted it.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I didn't want a wife, I didn't want kids. I
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: didn't think that bringing kids on this planet was a
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: good thing, so and and and I didn't even want
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: a dog because the loss is too painful and you
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: know it. So that's why I didn't want a woman
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: in my life. I just know I played it safe.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: I actually copped out, and and me becoming a gamblers
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: copping out, it was very very easy for me to
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: do this. I never challenged myself. The place I challenged
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: myself was the gym. I was pretty heavy kid too,
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: fifteen when I was in my twenties. So that's where
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: I've actually you know, I think I talked about this before.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: That's where I've actually gone out and gone to a
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: place that I'm not comfortable at and won. That's winning
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: in life. Me being a sports better. It's very very
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: easy for me. The thought process is automatic. Yeah, I've
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: worked at it, and that's good. I have some of
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: the same dedication I had the gym I did with
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: this job. But I've lost some of that fight to
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: dedicate X number of hours a day to this because
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: I'd rather go play a slot machine. And that's that's
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: when I talk about where or I've lost some resolve.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Is just that willingness to sit here and think and
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: read and think and read and think and read has disappeared.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: And again go back to the question before. Because I
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: hate I actually hate the game, and I hate the
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: world we live in. So because it's changed so much,
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: because it's it's I don't I don't know how much
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: it's changed. I think I think it has changed. I
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: think it's all been there. It's just not a larger
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: scale of bullshit now where we just fed bullshit after
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: bullshit after bullshit. We've always been doing that. The good
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: news it's becoming more exposed that all this fraud that
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: the government has and all this waste of our money
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: and all of the lying about uh, you know, they
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: lied about thirty thousand people being shot by by Iran Iranians,
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: which was a complete lie. We were arming the citizens
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: with guns for christ sake, like the whole, the whole.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: It's just all propaganda that we spend a lot of
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: our tax dollars on and and it's just becoming. The
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: good news is people are learning about it. The bad
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: news is until we vote for a libertarian or some
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: third party candidate, it's never gonna change because Trump is
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: just uh, you know, uh Obama, except you know, from
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: a different place. They're both the same. They both waste
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: our money and bomb countries illegally and kill innocence and
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: and and lie. So it's really tone, it's all kind
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: all right.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: Well listen, we're over an hour here, guys, Okay, please
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: pay attention to my socials. I'm going to post something

- 1:03:18Speaker 3: can we have to close off. I can't the guy
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: has a restaurant. I can't have him close off half
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: the restaurant. Not everyone show up, that would be.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: A busy day, so we'll put that on there.

- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Right, see it next week.
