  SPEAKER_00: In Mark 5, we read that Jesus has healed a demon-possessed man and is on his way with a large crowd to the house of a synagogue leader whose daughter is dying.

  SPEAKER_00: A large crowd followed and pressed in all around Jesus.

  SPEAKER_00: And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.

  SPEAKER_00: She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.

  SPEAKER_00: When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought if I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.

  SPEAKER_00: Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

  SPEAKER_00: At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.

  SPEAKER_00: He turned around in the crowd and asked, Who touched my clothes?

  SPEAKER_00: His disciples were quick to answer him, You see the people crowding against you, and yet you can ask who touched you?

  SPEAKER_00: Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.

  SPEAKER_00: Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and trembled with fear, telling him the whole truth.

  SPEAKER_00: He said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you.

  SPEAKER_00: Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.

  SPEAKER_00: Many of us are struggling with long-term issues in our lives, whether the suffering be physical or emotional, a relationship that won't heal, a situation that doesn't feel like it's ever going to get better.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to encourage you today to lean into who God is for you.

  SPEAKER_00: Jesus was in the midst of very important business.
• 2:08
  SPEAKER_00: He had just healed someone who was demon-possessed.

  SPEAKER_00: He was on his way to save a dying girl.
• 2:14
  SPEAKER_00: And yet, when he felt the touch on the hem of his garment, he stopped and he ministered to that person.

  SPEAKER_00: You may feel that way today, that there are so many other things that are more important for Jesus to be focused on than your situation.

  SPEAKER_00: And I want to encourage you to lean into him and pray and ask for his healing.

  SPEAKER_00: So let's pray together.

  SPEAKER_00: Heavenly Father, just as the woman in Mark V reached out in faith to touch the hem of Jesus' garment, I come before you today longing to reach out and receive from you.

  SPEAKER_00: You know every place of long suffering and desperation in my life.

  SPEAKER_00: You understand the persistent pain and the areas where I am in need of healing.

  SPEAKER_00: Today I reach out to you in faith, not for a fleeting feeling, but to embrace your promise of ultimate healing.

  SPEAKER_00: A promise you never fail to fulfill.

  SPEAKER_00: Even if I don't feel different immediately, remind me that my faith is not rooted in emotions, but anchored in your unchanging truth.

  SPEAKER_00: Help me trust in your faithfulness and believe that you will meet my deepest needs with yourself.

  SPEAKER_00: Lord, grant me persistent faith that pushes through the crowds of doubt and fear.

  SPEAKER_00: I trust that Jesus has all I need for true healing.

  SPEAKER_00: Just as Jesus knew at once when the woman touched him with faith, I know that you are aware of my every prayer and are ready to extend your power and virtue to me personally.

  SPEAKER_00: Help me hear you call me, daughter or son, welcoming me into an abiding relationship with you.
