- 0:49Speaker 3: last hour.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Of the entire week. You made it.
- 0:53Speaker 3: This week's been a Blair Ye shows last night. Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 3: you're just joining us. That's the beautiful, sexy voice of
- 1:02Speaker 3: Richard Dixon.
- 1:04Speaker 5: And I like this change up on the music brought
- 1:06Speaker 5: the energy to the last hour. Yeah, everything else was
- 1:09Speaker 5: like smooth.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11Speaker 6: The hour opens are the same every day.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Okay, their standard opener. I should pay more attention last time,
- 1:17Speaker 3: I says, the one switched up on me. Really screwed
- 1:20Speaker 3: up my tamp, my time and my internal clock, if
- 1:23Speaker 3: you will.
- 1:23Speaker 6: Yeah, your circadian.
- 1:28Speaker 7: Rhythm, your circadian rhythms probably all Jack.
- 1:32Speaker 4: It is wild right now. I have no idea where
- 1:34Speaker 4: I am. It doesn't help.
- 1:35Speaker 7: I walked in and I was like, I forgot what
- 1:37Speaker 7: you looked like two weeks ago, and then.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I know it's been a while, it's been too long,
- 1:43Speaker 3: Like so this is your first time back in two weeks?
- 1:47Speaker 3: So last two tuesdays ago is my last show that
- 1:51Speaker 3: I was on. You'll ever go like out of town
- 1:54Speaker 3: for a long time and you get into your bed.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Yes, it's the best.
- 2:00Speaker 4: My god.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I was so happy to be home yesterday. And it
- 2:04Speaker 3: was not like I was not doing cool or fun things. Yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 3: it's in your own be not a crimey river situation,
- 2:10Speaker 3: but still home. Yeah, exactly, it was. It's fantastic. I
- 2:16Speaker 3: was we ate dinner. Last time I did the dishes.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I was like, man, I've been one to do these
- 2:19Speaker 3: dish like this is like I'm like, that's for real,
- 2:23Speaker 3: let's not being sarcas. I was like, this is great. Yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 3: I'm loving every second of this. I got the kids
- 2:26Speaker 3: like sound in the background.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Yeah, fantastic.
- 2:29Speaker 5: I know.
- 2:30Speaker 6: I bet that was the I bet that was like.
- 2:32Speaker 7: The difficult parts of the kids being like away from them.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Yeah for two weeks.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I've never gone more than three days.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Man, that's six saxophone video you sent us.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 2:46Speaker 6: Probably made it.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I mean it was worth it.
- 2:49Speaker 6: That guy was.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 3: So we were it was in St. Barts and we
- 2:53Speaker 3: were it was Sat Barts is like a it's a
- 2:59Speaker 3: very price see island too, certainly, and they it's an
- 3:02Speaker 3: island full of like every restaurant turns into a nightclub
- 3:06Speaker 3: and it's like they pull the plates off and then
- 3:08Speaker 3: you just stand on the table and dance and it's
- 3:10Speaker 3: like is it like yeah, it kind of is, yeah exactly,
- 3:14Speaker 3: And so like it's the you know, bring out the
- 3:17Speaker 3: you know, the the waiters dressed up with the champagne
- 3:21Speaker 3: and the sparklers and stuff, which is not my scene,
- 3:23Speaker 3: like this is not this is not a thing that
- 3:26Speaker 3: but I gotta be honest, like doing it once with
- 3:28Speaker 3: a group of people that it is their thing.
- 3:30Speaker 4: It is fun.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but like it was a lot. We did a
- 3:33Speaker 3: quite often. Hell did you stay up? I mean not
- 3:43Speaker 3: there was a couple of nights where it didn't leave
- 3:45Speaker 3: to like one but but it's an I like it's
- 3:48Speaker 3: still then nothing stays up like all night because it
- 3:51Speaker 3: is still an island.
- 3:52Speaker 4: It's not like you're but it was.
- 3:55Speaker 3: There was this one night where I took a video
- 3:57Speaker 3: sent to them where it's like the saxophone player comes
- 3:59Speaker 3: out and he's just like shredding on tables, like playing
- 4:02Speaker 3: the saxophone to.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Like this DJ type music.
- 4:05Speaker 6: It was awesome.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Those are the best. I went to a wedding like that.
- 4:09Speaker 5: But then they had a guy walking around the dance
- 4:10Speaker 5: floor with a saxophone. It's like my eyes were like this,
- 4:15Speaker 5: and I'm like, this is all a good saxophone to me.
- 4:18Speaker 5: It's like even like that, Uh, what's it called?
- 4:20Speaker 4: Like E D M.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That.
- 4:22Speaker 5: But when they throw a saxophone in there, all of
- 4:24Speaker 5: a sudden, it brings it all home.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Brings it all home.
- 4:27Speaker 7: That's probably why Darryl Hall and John Oates hit so hard.
- 4:30Speaker 7: They utilize the saxophone like.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great instrument.
- 4:34Speaker 3: We all know Kenny g Yeah, how many other just
- 4:37Speaker 3: like brass instrument players do? We just know the name everybody.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Everybody in the world know the name of True. A
- 4:44Speaker 3: lot of guitarists here on the show. Why are you laughing,
- 4:54Speaker 3: because that means you're coming up. We usually don't talk
- 4:56Speaker 3: about we usually don't talk about serious issue use social issues.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Okay, we talked about serious issues all the time.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Okay, We usually don't talk about like political type issues
- 5:09Speaker 3: straight away.
- 5:09Speaker 4: That's not I mean, it's a it's a lose lose situation.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, But when I do want to ask everybody's opinion,
- 5:19Speaker 3: and you don't have to answer this if you don't
- 5:20Speaker 3: want to, like probably it potentially Currently the most famous
- 5:28Speaker 3: female in the world right now, or at least in
- 5:31Speaker 3: the USA, is Sophie Sophie Cunningham.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Who is Okay.
- 5:38Speaker 3: She she kind of like came onto popularity because of
- 5:40Speaker 3: Caitlin Clark making the WNBA way more popular, way more
- 5:45Speaker 3: eyes eyeballs on it. I think last year we gave
- 5:47Speaker 3: a breakdown of like her immediate impact, like viewership went
- 5:51Speaker 3: up like tenfold in the first game of her career,
- 5:53Speaker 3: brought more eyes and what will be like more money
- 5:56Speaker 3: to all these to all these ladies that are playing
- 5:58Speaker 3: in the w NBA. Uh Well, Sophy Kunnanyam came onto
- 6:02Speaker 3: the scene because she was kind of her enforcer or
- 6:06Speaker 3: her defender, her bodyguard because up for for whatever reason,
- 6:11Speaker 3: WNB hasn't figured out that Caitlin Clark is like their
- 6:15Speaker 3: their cash cow, like this is going to help everybody,
- 6:19Speaker 3: and they just you know, let her get beat up
- 6:21Speaker 3: and all this stuff.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Now two sizes of every story I got. I don't
- 6:26Speaker 4: know what's going on.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I don't know the trash talk whatever, but like it
- 6:28Speaker 3: does seem like they're going out of the way too.
- 6:31Speaker 4: I don't know to demean her game, I don't, I
- 6:33Speaker 4: don't know what it is.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Anyway, Sopha Kunaya was there and she was defended her
- 6:40Speaker 3: and got in fights and all this stuff, and as
- 6:42Speaker 3: seemingly just has this attitude of I don't I don't
- 6:45Speaker 3: give an f about anything, and I'm gonna live mom, I'm.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Gonna be who I am, and has won the.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I feel like one the people over for the most
- 6:56Speaker 3: part on all walks of life, I think kind of
- 6:59Speaker 3: won the people over, but recently has made comments that
- 7:03Speaker 3: is it's a little i'm not even gonna say divisive,
- 7:08Speaker 3: and the fact that like because that means things are
- 7:10Speaker 3: like divided equally, right, Like it's I think there's a polarizing,
- 7:14Speaker 3: polarizing comment about protecting women's sports, protecting which shouldn't, which shouldn't.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I mean, it's like we all, I think most where
- 7:24Speaker 4: we're going. I didn't know where we're going at first,
- 7:26Speaker 4: but uh yeah, so we're going.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Like she's she's made comments about keeping women's men out
- 7:33Speaker 3: of women's sports.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I mean that's just freaking normal.
- 7:36Speaker 5: I mean that it's the fact that that's a conversation
- 7:39Speaker 5: is so stupid because there's a reason why it was
- 7:43Speaker 5: divided in the first place. I mean, allowing that to
- 7:46Speaker 5: have women have worked so hard to get those rights
- 7:49Speaker 5: and get there and be a part of that and
- 7:50Speaker 5: have their stage. And then because some dude wants to
- 7:53Speaker 5: call himself a woman and you allow him to go
- 7:55Speaker 5: beat her up and take that away from her. If
- 7:58Speaker 5: you have daughters, I think anybody with adults I would
- 8:00Speaker 5: say that is just trying to wash my mouth.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Stupid. I mean, I don't know why that's even an argument.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, so you know, Lebron, you can get all
- 8:10Speaker 5: of sudden decided he wants to be a woman when
- 8:11Speaker 5: he's fifty, Right, he can still go dominate till he's
- 8:13Speaker 5: probably sixty five seventy years old in WNBA.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Yeah, is that fair?
- 8:16Speaker 3: No, I think anybody that thinks that it's okay, it's stupid, right,
- 8:21Speaker 3: they're they're idiots. And and it's not about political it's
- 8:27Speaker 3: not a bit about being conservative or liberal or commune
- 8:30Speaker 3: like whatever you are, like, it's about common sense, like
- 8:34Speaker 3: in the field of athletics, in the field in the
- 8:40Speaker 3: in the anytime you're competing there, Like you said, there's
- 8:44Speaker 3: a reason, like physically, men have muscles and hormones and
- 8:51Speaker 3: things that should not compete against women. That's why women
- 8:55Speaker 3: are protected so much from men from by the law.
- 8:58Speaker 3: By like you, there's certain things.
- 9:00Speaker 4: And can't do.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Two women like there's it's the most idiotic like argument
- 9:04Speaker 3: outside of that. And so she comes out and she
- 9:07Speaker 3: makes very common sense like you shouldn't even have to
- 9:10Speaker 3: take this stance. Yeah, like you're having to protect Like
- 9:13Speaker 3: I have daughters. Yeah, I don't want them. I want
- 9:16Speaker 3: them in the same locker room. For one, as a
- 9:18Speaker 3: biological man.
- 9:19Speaker 7: That's the most insane part of it too, right, Two,
- 9:21Speaker 7: I don't want them competing.
- 9:23Speaker 3: It is unfair. Yeah, it is unfair for a man
- 9:25Speaker 3: to compete against a woman.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I like what what did everybody fight so hard
- 9:32Speaker 7: for title nine four?
- 9:33Speaker 6: If we're just going to do away with it?
- 9:35Speaker 7: And like why did we create such a space for
- 9:38Speaker 7: like women to be able to be competitive and play
- 9:41Speaker 7: sports and like have this.
- 9:45Speaker 6: Like space for them? Why are we letting it just
- 9:48Speaker 6: in the name of who politically correct?
- 9:51Speaker 4: Like who are are we pandering to?
- 9:53Speaker 6: Yeah? Who are we pandering to?
- 9:54Speaker 7: Because to me, if you're somebody who believes that this
- 9:57Speaker 7: is okay. I don't think you placed like I don't
- 10:01Speaker 7: think you ever did, because why, like in what right
- 10:05Speaker 7: mind as somebody who.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Has the experience.
- 10:07Speaker 7: But he's even just like if you didn't play sports
- 10:09Speaker 7: common sense, like you said, where does it make sense?
- 10:12Speaker 7: And it just truly doesn't to me? And I you
- 10:14Speaker 7: know what I can't stand.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Is that Riley.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Riley I forget her last name, but she's the swimmer
- 10:22Speaker 7: who like first started this whole thing. Like I think
- 10:25Speaker 7: she was like one of the first people to like
- 10:27Speaker 7: really stand up and say this is wrong because she
- 10:31Speaker 7: got beat by that guy Leah Thomas. And I cannot
- 10:34Speaker 7: stand when people are like, well, you still came in
- 10:35Speaker 7: fifth place, And I'm like, why does that discredit her
- 10:39Speaker 7: argument over the fact that, like I don't want a
- 10:42Speaker 7: man in the locker room, I don't care what you
- 10:44Speaker 7: call yourself, Like you're why do I have to.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Right?
- 10:52Speaker 6: But what does it matter she's in fifth place or not?
- 10:54Speaker 7: Like that is somebody who is affected directly by it
- 10:59Speaker 7: telling you that they're not okay with it and they're
- 11:01Speaker 7: not just going to bend the need to you just
- 11:02Speaker 7: because you're afraid you're gonna get canceled if you say otherwise.
- 11:07Speaker 3: And thank God, like society is kind of like rebounded
- 11:10Speaker 3: a little bit back off of that.
- 11:11Speaker 5: They backed off a lot. I think anybody honestly thinks
- 11:14Speaker 5: it's okay. I think people are just taking a side
- 11:17Speaker 5: and standing with whatever side it is to say, yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 5: I'm gonna argue this side because this side says it's okay.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Nobody in the right mind thinks it's okay.
- 11:23Speaker 4: They got an end game too, yeah, something, it's something else.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I mean, nobody thinks it's okay.
- 11:28Speaker 3: And I like the Megan Rapino girl, she's arguing now,
- 11:31Speaker 3: like the soccer player. I think she's counter arguing. Sophie,
- 11:35Speaker 3: she's too. Yes, it's okay.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Go let all of the people that didn't make the
- 11:41Speaker 5: US men's team decide that they want to call themselves
- 11:45Speaker 5: women and Megan Repino you're never heard of? Yeah, okay
- 11:48Speaker 5: and right, and take all the political issues out of it,
- 11:50Speaker 5: take the transgender It doesn't matter what you think. Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 5: because like we want love for everybody, we want respect
- 11:56Speaker 5: for everybody, like how you choose to live your life,
- 11:58Speaker 5: whatever it is.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Who are we to judge any of that?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Right, like whatever, But on the field, like on the
- 12:07Speaker 3: sporting in the coliseum, in the arena, on the field,
- 12:10Speaker 3: it's not it's not society like it should be a
- 12:14Speaker 3: fair and balanced competition always, and it is not fair
- 12:18Speaker 3: if you sucked as a man, that doesn't mean you
- 12:22Speaker 3: can just go play women.
- 12:23Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not fair anyway, So feel low.
- 12:30Speaker 4: But no, I think even most and so I think it's.
- 12:32Speaker 6: Very like it's a very minority.
- 12:35Speaker 4: It's a super loud minority.
- 12:37Speaker 3: It's not even it's not split fifty fifty, it's not
- 12:40Speaker 3: even split eighty twenty.
- 12:41Speaker 6: No, I think it's like maybe yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Maybe maybe ninety nine point five point five. Yeah, it's
- 12:47Speaker 3: a very tiny percentage. But the fact that.
- 12:49Speaker 6: I think you're underestimating how stupid people are.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Well, yeah, people are really dumb, and I'm really dumb
- 12:55Speaker 3: in a lot of things. Yeah, but it's about like
- 13:00Speaker 3: only bring it up here because it's about the sport.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Like we don't want to talk about the political stuff.
- 13:03Speaker 3: So like how you live your life whatever, I don't care,
- 13:05Speaker 3: do you, Like, we're not you, do you? And we
- 13:08Speaker 3: love everybody, but like, but don't say you're a woman
- 13:12Speaker 3: and be a man and then go box a woman. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 3: don't be a man and go do power lefting competitions
- 13:18Speaker 3: in the Olympics against other women.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Men are stronger physically. We're built designed by God to
- 13:27Speaker 4: be stronger than women.
- 13:28Speaker 7: Or yeah, I mean, if you just look at it
- 13:33Speaker 7: on like a take like humans out of it. You
- 13:37Speaker 7: look at animals, it's the same thing for animals that
- 13:40Speaker 7: have a consciousness.
- 13:41Speaker 4: We've already seen what happens. Do you wanna man? Mmm, ladybug, ladybug, ladybug?
- 13:48Speaker 2: Go.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I think y'all haven't seen that. You haven't seen that, right,
- 13:50Speaker 3: I don't think maybe it was Righty Dangerfield. I've never
- 13:53Speaker 3: saw the soccer team where the boy dressed up with
- 13:57Speaker 3: Marlon which one of the Waing's brother Warner Man.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I can't remember.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Anyway, Sophie, keep doing you keep pointing your finger, he
- 14:07Speaker 3: pointing that finger. Nobody nobody's winning more in life than
- 14:15Speaker 3: keep crushing it. Hopefully the majority of humans on planet
- 14:20Speaker 3: Earth got your back on at least that situation. I
- 14:23Speaker 3: would take politics aside on that situation. Hopefully most people
- 14:27Speaker 3: got it, And I think I think most people listen
- 14:30Speaker 3: to our voice probably agree. We would hope or at
- 14:33Speaker 3: least agree with that status. All right, We're gonna take
- 14:36Speaker 3: a break. We'll be right back here with more thoughts
- 14:38Speaker 3: on it.
- 14:39Speaker 2: To be off the bench.
- 14:42Speaker 3: All right, got some trash, Well, get that trash picked
- 14:46Speaker 3: up by the pros, by the experts. You're Louisiana's leader
- 14:50Speaker 3: in trash removal service. Go to trash rangers dot com.
- 14:53Speaker 3: We talk about it all the time. They got the
- 14:55Speaker 3: residential service, So if you're one of the lucky ones
- 14:57Speaker 3: that are have trash Rangers of A able to pick
- 15:00Speaker 3: up at your home, they will give you text reminders.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So Richard, there's no more getting in the doghouse because
- 15:05Speaker 3: you forgot to take out the trash one night. Every
- 15:07Speaker 3: once in a while, you got to put it in
- 15:09Speaker 3: the back of your truck. Kind of gotta go drive
- 15:11Speaker 3: around town see where you can illegally dump it, you
- 15:13Speaker 3: know what I mean, just kidding. We've never done that,
- 15:16Speaker 3: but they'll text you the night before just so you
- 15:18Speaker 3: know that, Hey, look it's uh, it's coming to mars,
- 15:20Speaker 3: so don't forget to take it out.
- 15:21Speaker 4: They got rollof dumpters. I got one at my house.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Because we're about to start our project there. They got
- 15:26Speaker 3: three sizes to choose from, and we got the big one.
- 15:28Speaker 3: We got the thirty yard one one. Yeah, And I've
- 15:31Speaker 3: worked with a lot of roll off dumpster company across
- 15:33Speaker 3: the country when we were traveling a lot playing football,
- 15:35Speaker 3: and like this only company that will give you flat
- 15:37Speaker 3: rate pricing. So the price they give you at the
- 15:39Speaker 3: beginning is the price you pay at the end. Trash
- 15:41Speaker 3: Rangers dot Com.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Time from the locker room to the airwaves gets off

- 16:31Speaker 3: day maybe taking off. They playing a little golf today.
- 16:34Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Too hot for golf. It is kind of too hot
- 16:37Speaker 3: for golf. I tend to agree with you. Tomorrow will
- 16:40Speaker 3: be at the Jacob Hester football camp. It's gonna be
- 16:42Speaker 3: a great event. You know what else is over there

- 17:24Speaker 3: Utterly you got like this facility for Austro is like
- 17:27Speaker 3: the technology, the medical technology is like the top college programs.
- 17:31Speaker 3: The professional teams have all that kind of expertise and
- 17:34Speaker 3: equipment and care and there's a walk in So if
- 17:36Speaker 3: you get hurt somewhere, drive over there, let.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Him fix you, let him help you out. They'll get
- 17:40Speaker 4: you back. Ashina dot org slash b r ortho.
- 17:44Speaker 5: How many sports leaguesser over there? Now you got soccer,
- 17:47Speaker 5: flag football.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Now you got the indoor soccer league and the probably
- 17:52Speaker 3: outdoor you got flag football. They do lacrosse, They do
- 17:56Speaker 3: all sorts of like strength and weight training as well.
- 18:00Speaker 3: You can rent out the indoor facility, like if you
- 18:01Speaker 3: have a like a little league team and you just
- 18:04Speaker 3: it's in the middle of it, like, so we'd go
- 18:06Speaker 3: over there sometimes because I was dealing with like first
- 18:08Speaker 3: and second graders and it's super hot and they won't concentrate.
- 18:11Speaker 3: So it's like, all right, at least once a year,
- 18:13Speaker 3: like one time, I'm gonna go rent an indoor facility
- 18:15Speaker 3: and like so everyone's not like dripping wet, and.
- 18:18Speaker 4: The heat was why they weren't concentrated. Well, so they
- 18:21Speaker 4: don't concentrate it in general.
- 18:23Speaker 3: But then they're like, oh, I'm so tired. So yeah,
- 18:26Speaker 3: just any reason. They got a bunch. I think they're
- 18:28Speaker 3: certain gonna start doing baseball.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I figured they would. They don't have a field. Do
- 18:32Speaker 4: they have fields?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Basically they don't, but they got those field I don't know,
- 18:37Speaker 3: figure it out.
- 18:39Speaker 4: You getting ready for getting ready for hunting season? Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 4: we're you got a spot. You gett got a new
- 18:48Speaker 4: I've been more duck hunting lately. Got a new lab.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Got a little one year old pup my dad and
- 18:54Speaker 5: his brothers yellow a yellow lab recks res.
- 18:59Speaker 4: I love that.
- 19:00Speaker 5: From a toy story. Of course, t Rex kids got
- 19:04Speaker 5: to win the name. The baby won it. But no,
- 19:06Speaker 5: I'm excited about it. It's gonna be here quick. We
- 19:10Speaker 5: get extra seasons this year. You're gonna have a teal
- 19:12Speaker 5: season in September, a little whistling duck, and that's new. No,
- 19:15Speaker 5: the whistling duck in October is new. The Mexican whistlers
- 19:19Speaker 5: or Northern whistlers whatever, they've kind of came over this area.
- 19:22Speaker 5: You see them around every golf course. You see on
- 19:24Speaker 5: the golf course everywhere, So they're trying to get rid
- 19:26Speaker 5: of them their opening season two weeks season in October.
- 19:30Speaker 5: I just don't know where other neighborhoods and golf courses where, shoot,
- 19:34Speaker 5: i've never seen him fly. We don't have to go
- 19:36Speaker 5: to the Pelagon. What are they called Northern whistlers or
- 19:42Speaker 5: Mexican whistlers.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I'm not sure. They have like like really pretty bird, yeah, pretty,
- 19:47Speaker 4: and they're.
- 19:47Speaker 5: Brown with a little gold in their bills, like a
- 19:50Speaker 5: little bit more. No, I think you're thinking of a
- 19:52Speaker 5: little spoony. But no, I'm I'm excited. Are you going
- 19:55Speaker 5: to do hunt this year? I gotta get Huck out
- 19:58Speaker 5: there somewhere.
- 20:00Speaker 3: The problem was when we left Saint Francis Phil I
- 20:02Speaker 3: kind of lost a lot of a lot of spots
- 20:03Speaker 3: to go or just had say in contact with people
- 20:06Speaker 3: that I had. So I gotta get him out there.
- 20:09Speaker 3: I gotta get him in the woods. I've been very
- 20:12Speaker 3: I've neglected as a parent in that aspect, the hunting,
- 20:17Speaker 3: in the fishing. So Jack I got the first.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Book at six, I hadn't had one since, which I
- 20:23Speaker 5: feel like his very first hit. Every shot, See that's bad,
- 20:27Speaker 5: that's been terrible. It was awesome, it was awesome. But
- 20:30Speaker 5: now every time he's like, you know, it's seven fifteen,
- 20:33Speaker 5: he's like, well, go back to the camp.
- 20:35Speaker 4: I don't see anything. Yeah, this is so boring. Do
- 20:41Speaker 4: you have to carry like, do you have to carry
- 20:43Speaker 4: like a screen? Yeah? His little Nintendo switch.
- 20:46Speaker 3: If y'all seen Toy Story five, yes, So did it
- 20:49Speaker 3: make I want to get rid of the screens?
- 20:50Speaker 4: Yes? But it hit home. It did hit home. That's
- 20:53Speaker 4: a purpose. That was a point.
- 20:56Speaker 5: But I mean, so we've kind of taken away more
- 20:59Speaker 5: this summer, Like you don't he only gets his PlayStation
- 21:03Speaker 5: for like an hour and a half. Yeah, no phones,
- 21:07Speaker 5: But then his sister got a phone for the first time,
- 21:09Speaker 5: and now I feel like it's hard to enforce because
- 21:12Speaker 5: he's like, well, Charlotte's got her phone. I'm like, well
- 21:14Speaker 5: she's older than you. Yeah, yeah, No.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Toy Story five hit home and it's so true the screams,
- 21:23Speaker 3: I know, like that it's a babysitter and a lot
- 21:25Speaker 3: of y'all listener right now, you might not have kids,
- 21:27Speaker 3: so you probably probably don't get fed the same information
- 21:31Speaker 3: that we do on our social media. But it's about
- 21:36Speaker 3: kids not playing with toys anymore, and it's it was
- 21:39Speaker 3: like it hit home for sure because it's like, oh,
- 21:42Speaker 3: I've had that conversation. I've had that conversation a few
- 21:45Speaker 3: guys and then they pans like over the neighborhood at
- 21:47Speaker 3: night and like all the kids are in the window,
- 21:49Speaker 3: like oh yeah, pretty wild.
- 21:51Speaker 5: I mean where I feel guilty. I mean half the time,
- 21:54Speaker 5: like when you're annoyed and you're like here, take a screen,
- 21:56Speaker 5: right alf, and then later you're like, man, I it
- 21:59Speaker 5: is a cruch.
- 22:00Speaker 3: But you know what, like our parents did it too.
- 22:02Speaker 3: They're just like here's a coloring boot. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 3: here's a road at list read the map and read,
- 22:09Speaker 3: but ask them when we're gonna be there'n't like we
- 22:11Speaker 3: were doing like things that were that much more productive,
- 22:14Speaker 3: Like when our parents needed to check out for a second,
- 22:17Speaker 3: we had to read instead of listen fake red.
- 22:23Speaker 5: I just don't like what's on most of the apps.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Something always comes in there that's a little bit adult
- 22:29Speaker 5: snuck in there, Like you can't trust anything on YouTube.
- 22:31Speaker 5: YouTube's terrible. Even if you download the YouTube kids, they're
- 22:35Speaker 5: still weirdos. That's YouTube kids. It is weird. It's it's
- 22:38Speaker 5: stranger than like regular. Yeah, it's awkward. So we've gotten
- 22:42Speaker 5: away from that. It's like now it's movies only. You know,
- 22:45Speaker 5: you can go to the Disney app and watch a
- 22:47Speaker 5: Disney show, but there's weird stuff on Disney too, so
- 22:51Speaker 5: uh yeah, just screams tough.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Yeah, my little girls they found some YouTube YouTubers that
- 22:56Speaker 3: they liked that they were like kids their agent doing
- 22:58Speaker 3: like kid appropriate things. But like over the years, those
- 23:00Speaker 3: kids grow up and now they're doing like teenager privy
- 23:03Speaker 3: things and six year olds. I was like, Okay, you
- 23:06Speaker 3: can't watch her anymore. She's like but I love her,
- 23:08Speaker 3: but watching her.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Well, it's not like we can start with one show,
- 23:11Speaker 5: like you can watch this, I know what this is
- 23:13Speaker 5: this is good. But where does it take him after?
- 23:15Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 23:16Speaker 3: Send him down that rabbit hole. Something I saw on
- 23:21Speaker 3: my screen yesterday. X Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Released, got released.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I love it. That drives me nuts. Hey that's a
- 23:31Speaker 3: little bit. But I can't argue was a really good player.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Oh he was really good. He was awesome to watch.
- 23:36Speaker 3: He just need to shut up.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Uh, there's there's things that they turn you off as
- 23:40Speaker 5: a fan of an athlete, I can love like I
- 23:44Speaker 5: loved watching Johnny Manziel play. I hated the things he
- 23:47Speaker 5: would do, and I felt like Diego was trying to
- 23:50Speaker 5: be the next Johnny Manziel, be the bad boy but
- 23:53Speaker 5: and getting a little bit of trouble but play through it.
- 23:55Speaker 5: But when you're a five eight guy, Look what he
- 24:00Speaker 5: did at Vanderbilt was amazing.
- 24:02Speaker 4: But just the.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Stuff like the Heisman, like flipping off people and yeah,
- 24:07Speaker 5: that type of stuff.
- 24:08Speaker 3: It's a good lesson for a lot of kids out there.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It's a good lesson for life. There are certain things
- 24:15Speaker 3: that you can't unsay. There's certain actions that you can't
- 24:21Speaker 3: take back, and because it sticks with people, and there's
- 24:24Speaker 3: certain things that he did that certainly you can't forget.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Now you can make up for it, absolutely there. Everyone
- 24:32Speaker 3: deserves second chances and you can make up for anything,
- 24:34Speaker 3: and you can apologize and be very sincere.
- 24:37Speaker 4: In your apologies.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Do you never even apologize for He didn't Now, I
- 24:39Speaker 3: think he admitted that probably shouldn't have done that. But
- 24:43Speaker 3: he's certainly probably the personality type that doesn't apologize.
- 24:47Speaker 5: But what do we talk about hi? When he started
- 24:49Speaker 5: the show doing sec media and you say, you know,
- 24:53Speaker 5: everybody's been trained how to talk, he was never trained.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Obviously he didn't listen. There was things that they do
- 25:00Speaker 5: postgame interviews where he's dropping F bombs talking to the
- 25:02Speaker 5: reporter yep on National TV. Like that rubs me the
- 25:05Speaker 5: wrong way, Like you know how you're supposed to talk.
- 25:07Speaker 5: You're excited, you can do things, but you don't all
- 25:10Speaker 5: of a sudden while I'm sitting here with all my
- 25:12Speaker 5: kids watching the game, and you start dropping F bombs
- 25:14Speaker 5: when everybody knows, yeah, where you're at. And if you're
- 25:17Speaker 5: gonna be polarizing, you better be good, unbelievably good, not
- 25:21Speaker 5: just good and not polarizing.
- 25:22Speaker 4: That's that's probably like too positive term. If you're gonna do.
- 25:24Speaker 3: If you're gonna have antics like that, you better be special.
- 25:28Speaker 3: And you know, you could argue that he was special
- 25:30Speaker 3: in college, but he didn't have the measurables.
- 25:31Speaker 4: He didn't stack up.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So he and it comes it's no surprise to me,
- 25:36Speaker 3: Like it took him forever to even sign with the Ravens,
- 25:39Speaker 3: Like even after the draft, he was not he was
- 25:41Speaker 3: available for a while, and they finally they signed him
- 25:43Speaker 3: to a weird contract too. They signed him to originally
- 25:45Speaker 3: for a three year, three point one million dollar contract
- 25:49Speaker 3: with no guarantees or signing bonus, which is weird, Like
- 25:52Speaker 3: why don't you a three million dollar like youh drafted
- 25:55Speaker 3: he couldn't find a team, then you're gonna sign him
- 25:57Speaker 3: to a three year deal.
- 25:58Speaker 5: Usually it's like a one or two. I'm not found
- 26:00Speaker 5: a team because his agent's floating up. What he wants
- 26:02Speaker 5: is a free agency Yeah. Maybe, so it was just
- 26:05Speaker 5: a weird situation.
- 26:06Speaker 7: Do you think he has an agent? Like he himself said,
- 26:10Speaker 7: I don't have an.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Agent, he said, John, And John Gruden was like.
- 26:14Speaker 7: Oh yeah, Now, I don't know if that changed since
- 26:16Speaker 7: he went quote like to the NFL, But right, I
- 26:20Speaker 7: don't think he had one yeah.
- 26:21Speaker 3: He was due eight hundred and eighty five thousand dollars
- 26:24Speaker 3: this year. I don't know if that's the Ricky minimum.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I sent the Ricky minimum. Now this is so that's
- 26:28Speaker 3: a lot three to ten. When I played, it was
- 26:30Speaker 3: two ninety five my first year. Yeah, I played, so
- 26:34Speaker 3: eight eighty five nothing guaranteeds, so no signing about it.
- 26:37Speaker 3: So it's it was a really easy cut for him.
- 26:39Speaker 3: But like to her point, like he was was he
- 26:43Speaker 3: second in the Heisman votes?
- 26:44Speaker 4: Third?
- 26:44Speaker 3: He was a husband finalist, brought a help bring a
- 26:49Speaker 3: program that is irrelevant every year to ten wins and
- 26:52Speaker 3: almost to the college football playoff, and the Ravens decided
- 26:57Speaker 3: to go into training camp with Lamar Jackson. Of course
- 27:01Speaker 3: Tyler Huntley, Okay, that's a backup then in the league
- 27:04Speaker 3: a long time, but they chose Skyler Thompson and Joe Fagnano.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Ahead of him.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Joe went to Maine played. Did you look that up
- 27:15Speaker 4: this morning? I looked at it yesterday, because who is
- 27:17Speaker 4: who they keep like above him?
- 27:19Speaker 3: So they had five quarterbacks on the roster, so clearly
- 27:23Speaker 3: didn't do anywhere close to enough in his short time
- 27:26Speaker 3: in the offseason, workouts and things like that to make
- 27:29Speaker 3: a difference, or maybe they were like, yeah, this guy,
- 27:34Speaker 3: we don't like the way.
- 27:35Speaker 4: He kind of talks.
- 27:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, you know, and I think you see
- 27:41Speaker 5: that even from a you see it both both ways.
- 27:45Speaker 5: I mean, nobody wants unnecessary to meet press.
- 27:49Speaker 4: They were at the distraction.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Tim Tebow great person, but he brought a media circus
- 27:54Speaker 5: that I think the NFL got tired of dealing with.
- 27:56Speaker 5: You know, they didn't want to bring that around anymore.
- 27:58Speaker 5: And you see it on both sides. But would you
- 28:00Speaker 5: talk about that kid who such an underdog. His story
- 28:04Speaker 5: could be so much better if he learned how to
- 28:06Speaker 5: talk and shut his mouth, like I think he would
- 28:09Speaker 5: be on a roster if he was the guy that,
- 28:11Speaker 5: you know, thank thankful to be here, you know, done everything,
- 28:15Speaker 5: can you know, super excited, bust of my butt trying
- 28:17Speaker 5: to get here. And so he's always just with a
- 28:19Speaker 5: chip on his shoulder, talking trash and uh, you know,
- 28:21Speaker 5: to come and do what he did at Vanderbilt is
- 28:24Speaker 5: amazing and that's a guy that should have a spot
- 28:25Speaker 5: on the league. But he's a guy that just ruined
- 28:27Speaker 5: his image. Yeah, people got tired of him, and I
- 28:30Speaker 5: think in the I think in the NIL world. I
- 28:32Speaker 5: think it's easy for some of these guys that think
- 28:34Speaker 5: that they are already professional football players. They and they are,
- 28:37Speaker 5: they are professional, but that already think that they're in
- 28:41Speaker 5: the NFL and can kind of act like that and
- 28:43Speaker 5: get away with it because professional football players.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Some of them like to do that and act like that,
- 28:47Speaker 3: but they've earned it, right. Well, these guys, they're being
- 28:52Speaker 3: still judged by the NFL scouts and gms like they're
- 28:55Speaker 3: not professional. They want to see accountability that I want
- 28:58Speaker 3: to see.
- 29:00Speaker 5: They love and I I think the NILE does a
- 29:02Speaker 5: lot of waiting for the NFL. That's probably a good point. No,
- 29:06Speaker 5: I really think it's the amount of times that, you know,
- 29:09Speaker 5: people are worried about what this guy will do once
- 29:11Speaker 5: he gets money, and you see guys that get that
- 29:14Speaker 5: first paycheck and they don't work as hard anymore. I
- 29:16Speaker 5: think the NFL loves that these college kids are getting
- 29:18Speaker 5: this money because that's going to lead him out for
- 29:20Speaker 5: him already, the kid gets, you know, five hundred thousand
- 29:22Speaker 5: to a million dollars of eighteen year old freshman, does
- 29:25Speaker 5: he get better because if he gets better, he handled
- 29:28Speaker 5: the right way. You know, the money didn't change him. Yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 5: that's a really good point. That's a really good point.
- 29:33Speaker 7: Wick kind of talked about that on Tyrann's podcast. Yeah,
- 29:37Speaker 7: where like Tyron asked him, how do you how do
- 29:42Speaker 7: you stay I guess humble? He didn't put it this way,
- 29:45Speaker 7: but like the gist of it is like how.
- 29:46Speaker 6: Do you stay humble playing football?
- 29:48Speaker 7: Or like how do you keep loving football in college
- 29:51Speaker 7: football when you're making all this money?
- 29:53Speaker 6: And what's Like?
- 29:53Speaker 7: I mean, I just have a love for the game,
- 29:55Speaker 7: Like the money is whatever, but you have to like
- 29:58Speaker 7: go in there will and knowing that you love football
- 30:02Speaker 7: and not what comes with it.
- 30:04Speaker 5: No, there's a lot of guys who, you know, they
- 30:07Speaker 5: see football their way out right for their family. Yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 5: the main goal is to get that money.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Right.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Football is all about money to some people, and I
- 30:14Speaker 5: think from the NFL has always been worried about that.
- 30:16Speaker 5: I mean, is this guy in it for the money
- 30:18Speaker 5: or he love the game?
- 30:19Speaker 4: Right? This is going to weed a lot of that out.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Well I think that I think you can be in
- 30:22Speaker 3: it for the money, but you got it. It's really
- 30:25Speaker 3: weeding out who doesn't who acts like a fool like
- 30:28Speaker 3: when once they get it, Like I was told in
- 30:30Speaker 3: the NFL, like by by our coach. We were like,
- 30:32Speaker 3: what's your why? Like your why can be anything. There's
- 30:35Speaker 3: some people's why because they love the game, because they
- 30:37Speaker 3: want to provide it for their family, because they want fame,
- 30:40Speaker 3: because they want money. Whatever your why is, it's okay
- 30:44Speaker 3: as long as you handle it the right way. Because
- 30:46Speaker 3: whatever that why is, focus on it and work your
- 30:48Speaker 3: ass off to get that why. Now, what you're talking
- 30:51Speaker 3: about is such a good point and good thought. It's
- 30:53Speaker 3: like it's weeding out the idiots out there once they
- 30:56Speaker 3: get money, and it makes it shows their people's true colors.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Now again, there might be actual remorse. There might be
- 31:03Speaker 3: like we were all idiots as as college kids. Who
- 31:07Speaker 3: knows what we would have done with money rich here,
- 31:08Speaker 3: Like these guys got to grow up so much faster.
- 31:11Speaker 3: I mean, they're getting agents in high school now, you know.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I high school was the most fun I had playing football.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I mean by far, like you're playing with your buddies
- 31:20Speaker 3: and no pressure. It's for the love of the game.
- 31:23Speaker 3: College gets a little bit more serious. But I mean,
- 31:25Speaker 3: you know we were I worked really hard, you worked
- 31:29Speaker 3: really hard. We were kind of gifted. Like college wasn't
- 31:31Speaker 3: that hard to me? And then you get to the NFL,
- 31:34Speaker 3: like the pressure is like you're just worried about getting
- 31:36Speaker 3: cut all the time, especially being that guy like maybe
- 31:38Speaker 3: undrafted free agent. You know there you're seeing guys cut
- 31:41Speaker 3: every day. By the time you got to the NFL,
- 31:44Speaker 3: it was such a drain, like you were stressed out
- 31:47Speaker 3: every day.
- 31:48Speaker 4: It's different.
- 31:49Speaker 5: It's a job at that point, are you but just
- 31:51Speaker 5: watching people when you're like walking to practice and you
- 31:53Speaker 5: see there trying to are working out five tight ends,
- 31:55Speaker 5: I'm like, yeah, trying to replace me today might not safe.
- 32:00Speaker 4: You have some stressful times. We'll talk about that. Look,
- 32:03Speaker 4: we gotta go a break.
- 32:03Speaker 3: We're running pretty late here. You should have Yeah, boyd
- 32:06Speaker 3: mee Luandra but U but fine, Yeah, it's a good

- 34:46Speaker 3: out and they'll know your space better than you do.
- 34:48Speaker 3: In a matter of minutes and be like Oh yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 3: we can do this, we can do that. What's your budget?
- 34:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we can do this and that here and
- 34:53Speaker 3: there and really tie the room together till the whole

- 34:57Speaker 4: Kid, Is he into her? Now? Do a living kit?
- 34:59Speaker 4: Is he blinds? Well? There? There was like a heavy
- 35:10Speaker 4: metal version of this song that came out. It was
- 35:13Speaker 4: really good. Yeah, it's really good.
- 35:15Speaker 6: I missed that, but I love it.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Know what you're talking about? What was that? Is it like.
- 35:24Speaker 6: This would be a good karaoke song?
- 35:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be. Or Mellow Mushroom used to do karaoke.
- 35:31Speaker 6: Yes, they used to do it when I was in college.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Open Sea, the Sea, the Yeah, they got a good
- 35:37Speaker 3: version of it.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Yeah. They had open mic night. I think it was
- 35:40Speaker 4: like Tuesday nights.
- 35:41Speaker 5: We'd go Tuesday or Wednesday Wednesday night because we never
- 35:44Speaker 5: made Thursday morning class.
- 35:46Speaker 3: It was a classy way of saying karaoke, open mic night. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 3: well we didn't. It's summer, kids are listening. We made
- 35:55Speaker 3: all our classes. Go to school.
- 35:57Speaker 5: Hey, if you had good enough grades, you got off
- 36:01Speaker 5: the class checking list. So your goal was to make
- 36:05Speaker 5: good grades so you didn't have.
- 36:07Speaker 3: To stay in school. Don't do drugs. Let's medically prescribe.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Hey, my hi is still making it in the industrial world,
- 36:17Speaker 5: see it in just about everywherehouse.
- 36:19Speaker 6: Yeah, let's go.
- 36:21Speaker 3: And my shop lives on the freezer pops, industrial piping solutions,
- 36:27Speaker 3: industrial piping specialists, specialists, all your pipe fittings, flange invalve needs,
- 36:31Speaker 3: turn around seasons coming up, call me. We got more
- 36:34Speaker 3: pipe on the ground than anybody in Louisiana.
- 36:38Speaker 4: That's a fact.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Laying that pipe, slinging pipe for a living. And you're
- 36:45Speaker 3: like you were and you've been out on the road
- 36:49Speaker 3: like in the plants for a long time. Huh yeah,
- 36:51Speaker 3: so you know, I've been doing it for about fourteen years.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Made the change from a new company, went to the
- 36:57Speaker 3: privately held company out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Much of Tye
- 37:00Speaker 3: Westfield owns the company, and it's freaking awesome. We do
- 37:03Speaker 3: a lot more with less, get things done when you
- 37:06Speaker 3: call the owner and just ask them what you want
- 37:07Speaker 3: to do on something instead of getting bored approval on everything. Yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 3: it's nice. Did you ever like wear your jersey out
- 37:13Speaker 3: to a sales call?
- 37:14Speaker 4: No?
- 37:15Speaker 5: No, you know, and every the most requested thing is
- 37:18Speaker 5: people want to see like the National Championship brings. Yeah,
- 37:21Speaker 5: and like I haven't seen it since we got them.
- 37:24Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure they're like in my dad's closet somewhere.
- 37:27Speaker 5: But uh yeah, No, it's a it's a fun job.
- 37:30Speaker 5: That's why I like to do radio. Most of the
- 37:31Speaker 5: guys I'm dealing with here, you know, blue collar guys
- 37:33Speaker 5: that love sports. How did you originally get into it?
- 37:35Speaker 5: So the guy that first hired me was two SEC referees.
- 37:39Speaker 5: Uh oh, so they knew me from doing our practices
- 37:41Speaker 5: and stuff. And when I blew my knee out my
- 37:43Speaker 5: first year, I was back at I was you doing
- 37:45Speaker 5: rehab and they came by, gave me a business card
- 37:48Speaker 5: and told me to call on if I ever got
- 37:49Speaker 5: tired of playing football. And the very next year, I
- 37:52Speaker 5: blew my other knee out, and I'm like, this is
- 37:55Speaker 5: starting to suck.
- 37:56Speaker 3: And let's remind everybody. As a rookie, you were running
- 37:59Speaker 3: first team and with Detroit Lions until what like a
- 38:03Speaker 3: minute or two left in the fourth preseason game.
- 38:05Speaker 5: Yeah, so I went to you know, I got to
- 38:07Speaker 5: play the entire preseason, which was fun because I went
- 38:09Speaker 5: out there with the starters and then would go in
- 38:11Speaker 5: with the second team and the third team, and you know,
- 38:13Speaker 5: the there was I think I learned a lesson. You know,
- 38:16Speaker 5: I think there was eighteen seconds left on the clock.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Caught the ball, I went to break one down the sideline,
- 38:20Speaker 5: the little cornerbacks holding my leg and safety flies in
- 38:23Speaker 5: there and blows my knee up.
- 38:25Speaker 4: And uh.
- 38:25Speaker 5: The older guys when I get to the sideline, they're like, hey,
- 38:28Speaker 5: just go down, don't. You don't need to break tackles
- 38:30Speaker 5: in a preseason. You don't do that running with the
- 38:33Speaker 5: ones a little bit. Yeah, do a nice seven month rehab,
- 38:37Speaker 5: get back out there and make it into the fourth
- 38:39Speaker 5: game the next year and do it to the other knee.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Fun stuff. But I will say, you know, my favorite
- 38:46Speaker 5: NFL moment was watching you break every single game record
- 38:51Speaker 5: because you happen to do.
- 38:52Speaker 4: That team and you were on were I are at
- 38:55Speaker 4: the time.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Yeah, but I was on the sideline and I just
- 38:57Speaker 5: silently cheering for you as you beat the hell out
- 39:01Speaker 5: of us.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Yeah. That was a wild game.
- 39:04Speaker 5: That was one of my my dad's favorite story. Met you, Aaron,
- 39:07Speaker 5: and who was the other guy?
- 39:08Speaker 4: I think it was Graham gam Yeah. We went to
- 39:11Speaker 4: the little steakhouse.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Yeah, well, some random restaurant because we were staying outside
- 39:15Speaker 3: of Detroit in a hotel and yeah, you and your
- 39:17Speaker 3: dad came and met us, and it was all all this,
- 39:19Speaker 3: all this quarterbacks came and bet y'all.
- 39:21Speaker 5: And we were trying to walk in and wouldn't They
- 39:23Speaker 5: tried to make Aaron take his hat off. He's like no,
- 39:24Speaker 5: and he's like no, no, you have to take it
- 39:26Speaker 5: off in here. So my dad loves to tell everybody that, uh,
- 39:30Speaker 5: you know. His story is, you know, I take everybody,
- 39:33Speaker 5: you know, Matt and Richard they all get steaks and
- 39:35Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers gets spaghetti and meatballs, all these millionaires. My
- 39:41Speaker 5: dad goes, don't but I, you know, I picked up the.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Tab because I bought Aaron Roders his favorite things.
- 39:46Speaker 5: Like oh, but it wouldn't too bad because they had
- 39:48Speaker 5: to play the next day so they weren't drinking no alcohol.
- 39:50Speaker 4: That wouldn't too bad.
- 39:52Speaker 6: That's such a dad.
- 39:54Speaker 5: He tells the story every time I paid for Matt
- 39:57Speaker 5: and Aaron.
- 39:58Speaker 4: I got it. I got the got this.
- 40:01Speaker 6: Aaron's like, I wasn't even gonna pick it up.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Got to pay for this spaghetti meatballs.
- 40:07Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 40:09Speaker 4: I just remember like that it was dark and like
- 40:11Speaker 4: mid lights in that it was.
- 40:12Speaker 5: A I forget what it was called. It was the
- 40:14Speaker 5: best steakhouse in Detroit. Yeah, and uh yeah, it was
- 40:17Speaker 5: just really dark. It was like old mafia type place.
- 40:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it kind of gave that feel, like my memory says.
- 40:24Speaker 5: It gave that like you were sitting at the table
- 40:26Speaker 5: and you couldn't see the faces of the table across
- 40:28Speaker 5: from you because everything was so demolit I love.
- 40:31Speaker 6: A place like that. That's a vibe.
- 40:33Speaker 4: It's a vibe. Yeah, I picked up the bill.
- 40:35Speaker 6: Good meatballs, great spaghetti meatballs.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Apparently do we win that game?
- 40:42Speaker 3: It was even when they were oh and sixteen, Ford
- 40:46Speaker 3: Field was still a hard place to play.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Those those fans love it, and it's for as bad
- 40:51Speaker 5: as historically bad as Detroit was. They still pack it
- 40:53Speaker 5: out every freaking Sunday.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just a it's just a the way that
- 40:58Speaker 3: building's constructed, the.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Sound stays in it. And yeah, the fans are intents
- 41:04Speaker 4: of just good Rocks always there and.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Kid Rocks always walking around the locker room after the
- 41:10Speaker 5: game with like with bourbon and a cigar.
- 41:13Speaker 6: No doubt, y'all have way too many kid rock stories, way.
- 41:16Speaker 4: Too many kid rocks.
- 41:17Speaker 5: It's weird and majority of the kid rock stories I
- 41:20Speaker 5: cannot tell on the radio.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Yep.
- 41:21Speaker 3: I'll just run into them all the time, nuts me wrongly,
- 41:28Speaker 3: not even good. All right, that's we're closing out the week.
- 41:34Speaker 3: I can't believe this. What a week it's been. I
- 41:36Speaker 3: appreciate everyone. We had sec media days all week. Josh
- 41:40Speaker 3: Hipel is inciting violence on l s U students children.
- 41:45Speaker 3: He wants them to get hurt. It's been a while
- 41:49Speaker 3: to Richard has been stepping in for Jacob Pastor today,
- 41:52Speaker 3: just crushing it. Golf balls are just violent. Golf balls
- 41:55Speaker 3: is violent. But we're gonna have one more segment. It's
- 41:57Speaker 3: gonna be an ass. The bench segment. It is completely
- 41:59Speaker 3: different an OTV mailback, so don't even think it's the
- 42:02Speaker 3: same at all. We're gonna ask the bench when we
- 42:04Speaker 3: come back, right here, not.
- 42:05Speaker 2: The bench, off the bench, all right.
- 42:08Speaker 4: I gotta get.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Gordon dot Com, Gordon McKernon injury attorneys, or as we
- 42:13Speaker 3: like to call him, Gordon McCarney injury attorney. If you've
- 42:17Speaker 3: been injured Richard has been talking about, he's in plants alt.
- 42:20Speaker 3: If you've been injured on the job site, if you've
- 42:22Speaker 3: been injured in a car accident, whatever it is, Well,
- 42:25Speaker 3: call Gordon mccurney injury attorneys and let them fight for you,
- 42:29Speaker 3: Let them represent you, let them get you exactly what
- 42:32Speaker 3: you deserve, because if you've been injured, it's not always
- 42:34Speaker 3: your fault, and you might not know who to call,
- 42:37Speaker 3: who to talk to, what questions asked? Well give them
- 42:40Speaker 3: a call. Numbers pretty easy to remember, I'd say, very
- 42:43Speaker 3: easy to remember. It's eight eight eight eight eight eight eight,
- 42:46Speaker 3: and wherever you are in Louisiana, so north, south, east, west, central,
- 42:50Speaker 3: whatever it matters. Made a random city Richard Tulula in Louisiana. Yeah, yep,
- 42:58Speaker 3: I A alright, Well, if you're there, just down whatever
- 43:01Speaker 3: that area code is, fall about eight eight eight eight
- 43:03Speaker 3: eight eight eight. You be a part of the g team.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Go to get Gordon dot com. Get Gordon dot com.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU football twenty four to seven. You're
- 43:12Speaker 1: listening to Off the Bench.
- 43:31Speaker 4: Then used to be your gray in time, Well on
- 43:35Speaker 4: to see you became the light on the dark side
- 43:42Speaker 4: of me.
- 43:47Speaker 3: All right, welcome back here off the Bench, closing out
- 43:48Speaker 3: the show, closing out the week. I appreciate you sticking
- 43:51Speaker 3: with us this morning I got this guy had a
- 43:55Speaker 3: silky smooth voice, shut such.
- 43:59Speaker 4: A good boy, so you can get a supermodel.
- 44:06Speaker 5: I feel like this was a This song was on
- 44:08Speaker 5: a movie that we really liked when we were kids.
- 44:10Speaker 4: Batman. Yep, that's what it was. I remember which Batman.
- 44:15Speaker 6: I think we looked it up and I think it
- 44:16Speaker 6: was the Val Kilmer one. I think so.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I remember sitting in my parents room, like watching a
- 44:23Speaker 5: movie and this. That's what that song reminds me.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Of every time.
- 44:26Speaker 6: It's my current obsession.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Hashe gash the bench? This is as Ben Semon? Who
- 44:31Speaker 3: is your favorite Batman actor?
- 44:36Speaker 7: This one is the Val Kilmer one. But for me,
- 44:39Speaker 7: I love The Dark Night. So I love Christian Bale
- 44:42Speaker 7: as Batman. I think he does it a really.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Said Christian Bale. Yeah, Christian Bale, for sure for it.
- 44:49Speaker 4: I like that.
- 44:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I felt like I had to defend that. But
- 44:52Speaker 7: that's like the consensus that.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Like that Batman time. It was so good.
- 44:58Speaker 3: I didn't watch the other side. I didn't watch Patton
- 45:00Speaker 3: and Ben Affleck play Batman.
- 45:02Speaker 7: I watched the Ben Affleck one. I never watched the
- 45:04Speaker 7: Robert Pattinson one.
- 45:05Speaker 4: Second favorite Michael Keaton. Yeah, that would be mine, prac
- 45:11Speaker 4: I would. I'll say the first one.
- 45:13Speaker 6: I haven't really watched it in a long time, but.
- 45:17Speaker 4: I guess that is the first one. He said, like
- 45:18Speaker 4: the most popular one.
- 45:20Speaker 6: With Heath Ledger as the Joker. Yeah, okay, that's Christian Bale.
- 45:25Speaker 4: So did you watch like this? The next one was
- 45:29Speaker 4: called the Joker or whatever.
- 45:30Speaker 7: Yeah, wait, the Joaquin Phoenix one.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Yeah, that was twisted, but like really good.
- 45:36Speaker 7: I like the first one. I never saw the second
- 45:38Speaker 7: one because everybody said it was awful.
- 45:39Speaker 4: Joaquin Phoenix just yeah, hash, I guess a bench.
- 45:45Speaker 6: I think he's underrated.
- 45:48Speaker 4: He was living in New Orleans at one point I thought,
- 45:50Speaker 4: is he underrated?
- 45:51Speaker 6: I think so, you think he's properly rated.
- 45:54Speaker 4: I think he's. Oh, he's pretty good. Okay.
- 45:57Speaker 7: I just don't hear people ever saying like I love Joaquin.
- 46:00Speaker 7: I don't hear people talking about walking.
- 46:03Speaker 4: He's seems like a weirdo.
- 46:04Speaker 6: He is a weirdo.
- 46:05Speaker 4: And the only.
- 46:07Speaker 3: Only acts when it's gonna be like Oscar. Yeah, nomination situation, right,
- 46:13Speaker 3: So the Gladiator.
- 46:14Speaker 5: A buddy of mine ran into him in New Orleans,
- 46:17Speaker 5: and he was the type of guy that was smoking
- 46:18Speaker 5: a cigarette and then puts it on the corner of
- 46:21Speaker 5: the building so he can pick up and keep smoking
- 46:22Speaker 5: it when he walks back out the grocery store.
