- 4:41Speaker 4: On the rug.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yes, and it also yeah, it makes.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It a lot. It would be much more helpful with
- 4:48Speaker 1: the new puppy. That size is going to get you, yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 1: or your or your dad. Yeah, it's going to be
- 4:54Speaker 1: one of the two.
- 4:54Speaker 3: That would be great.

- 5:16Speaker 6: We're gonna get you a puppy, okay, Oh my gosh.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I don't have any expectations.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I'm not a good gift getter either, so if I
- 5:25Speaker 2: got nothing, I would I'd also be happy.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Piper, how old are you know?
- 5:30Speaker 3: Nine?
- 5:30Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 5:34Speaker 7: Doing?

- 5:42Speaker 1: All right, I gotta tell you. And what's the name
- 5:45Speaker 1: of your team?
- 5:47Speaker 4: Wolves?
- 5:48Speaker 1: The Wolves? Yeah? Okay, I've seen you on the field
- 5:52Speaker 1: and you you tear it up like like nobody's business.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You're a very good soccer player. Thank you. Your other
- 6:03Speaker 1: daughter right next to you. Fourteen years old, Gwen. Yes,
- 6:06Speaker 1: first day of Williamstown High School, freshman year, freshman year tomorrow.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Excited and nervous, Yeah, a little bit. It's a big day.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's a big time. It's a big chapter.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I might I might cry, Mike.
- 6:26Speaker 6: That's what that's why I'm getting dropped off.
- 6:28Speaker 1: First Lily's first day of school was yesterday, fifth grade.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Nice and nobody cried. There's no crying, no crying at all.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Sherilyn absolutely did not cry.
- 6:51Speaker 8: You know.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Somebody said it it would get easier after the first
- 6:55Speaker 1: day of kindergarten. Not really.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I feel like it keeps getting worse. I feel older
- 7:01Speaker 2: and also see how much they've grown. And yeah, I'm like,
- 7:07Speaker 2: it goes by so quickly.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It does. It does. So Gwen a little bit about you.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You love ska, yeah, you love reggae, you love music
- 7:19Speaker 1: in general, and you love Sublime. That's freaking awesome. Do
- 7:26Speaker 1: you know. I met a kid who was just about
- 7:30Speaker 1: the same age as you, right around thirteen fourteen years old,
- 7:35Speaker 1: who was wearing a Sublime shirt this past summer, and
- 7:37Speaker 1: I was like, greatest band on the planet. And he's like,
- 7:42Speaker 1: never heard of him. I'm like, dude, you're wearing this
- 7:45Speaker 1: shirt on.
- 7:46Speaker 4: You can't do this.
- 7:48Speaker 1: How disrespectful is that. I'm like, why are you wearing
- 7:52Speaker 1: the shirt? And he's like, somebody got it for me.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Oh man, that hurts my soul. You can't do that.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It's bad. Speaking of bad bad fish, of course, the
- 8:04Speaker 1: Sublime cover band Trippy band, I should say trippy band.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And you guys you've seen them a couple of times twice, now,
- 8:13Speaker 1: ye what are you saying? Yep about their piper?
- 8:16Speaker 6: You saw them too, because I I went to the
- 8:20Speaker 6: last one, but I couldn't go to the other one
- 8:23Speaker 6: because I was at my friend's house.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So you went to the last one, yeah, in Maine
- 8:27Speaker 1: this past summer. And what happened during that show?
- 8:32Speaker 6: Well, the first fan was pretty good, but it's on
- 8:37Speaker 6: the first friend's always not the best. Then the last
- 8:41Speaker 6: then second band, so and then we were gonna do
- 8:46Speaker 6: something else, but we stayed and I got on I
- 8:50Speaker 6: got on the stage.
- 8:51Speaker 3: After a while, they pulled her on stage.
- 8:54Speaker 1: What did you what did you say to these guys?
- 8:57Speaker 6: Played the tambourine to play.
- 9:00Speaker 3: It was really really super cool.
- 9:02Speaker 2: So the lead singer's son was also there like in
- 9:07Speaker 2: the background, like playing same age as Piper, and they
- 9:10Speaker 2: saw Piper was like in the crowd with us, so
- 9:14Speaker 2: he pulled her on stage gave her a tambourine to
- 9:16Speaker 2: play for.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Their last two songs. I think it was.
- 9:20Speaker 4: It was really really it was really fun.
- 9:22Speaker 3: She had a.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Blast, and then they like asked we stayed after and
- 9:26Speaker 2: like talked to them and got.
- 9:27Speaker 4: To meet them and it was oh yeah, oh yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 4: it was really fun.
- 9:32Speaker 3: When was there with her friend.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I was with my best friend Brookie for my birthday.
- 9:38Speaker 4: We got the tickets and it was just a great
- 9:41Speaker 4: time and it made me really happy that we got
- 9:43Speaker 4: to talk to the band afterwards.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Really down to earth cool dudes.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, definitely.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Super nice and like very humble and not.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I don't know sometimes when you yeah, exactly, they weren't
- 9:55Speaker 2: all they like got right down sat with us like
- 9:58Speaker 2: it was cool.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Was super cool at Autograss.
- 10:01Speaker 4: No autographs, but I did get a drumstick.
- 10:04Speaker 1: So okay, wow, that is so cool. Guys. So it
- 10:08Speaker 1: seems like you've you've had a pretty good summer.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Oh yeah, definitely very busy summer though.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, and it gets nothing but busier. Yep,
- 10:17Speaker 1: trust me. Let's let's talk about what what's what's going
- 10:22Speaker 1: on with this autumn festival that's that's coming up that
- 10:26Speaker 1: Lindsey is. I'm gotta tell you, I'll tell you a
- 10:30Speaker 1: both live right now. Your mom kicks some big time.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But yeah, she's a great lady, great kids, Yes, but
- 10:41Speaker 1: she does an awful lot for the community. You know
- 10:44Speaker 1: that because here you see it, you live it all
- 10:48Speaker 1: all the time with with mom.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Too hectic for you.
- 10:55Speaker 6: It's a little crazy sometimes sometime, but.
- 11:02Speaker 4: It's great helping everybody. I love helping and it makes
- 11:08Speaker 4: the community happy and it it's like a brighter side
- 11:14Speaker 4: of everything.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Y, you know, summers, we all know summers don't
- 11:20Speaker 1: last long, and we all know that once there's a
- 11:23Speaker 1: little bit of crisp in the air that we know
- 11:28Speaker 1: as from honors, that we're going to be moving in
- 11:32Speaker 1: and we're going to be cooped up all winter for
- 11:35Speaker 1: the next yeah, you know, fourteen straight months and it's
- 11:42Speaker 1: it's you know, we've got winter coming. So this is
- 11:46Speaker 1: like the last hurrahs of summer, right Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Like so the Williamston Autumn Festival, we started it last year.
- 11:56Speaker 3: It was such a huge success.
- 11:59Speaker 2: We had like five hundred people that said that they
- 12:02Speaker 2: were interested on social media, so we were like expecting
- 12:06Speaker 2: like five hundred people and we had we served over
- 12:10Speaker 2: fifteen hundred people free pig roast meal before two thirty
- 12:17Speaker 2: in the afternoon. We ran out of food. It was
- 12:20Speaker 2: it was crazy. So we are expecting the same, if
- 12:26Speaker 2: not bigger turnout, so we're more prepared this year. So
- 12:32Speaker 2: we're so we have free food, horse and carriage rides,
- 12:38Speaker 2: sixty vendors. What else do we have? Face painting, cotton candy, popcorn,
- 12:46Speaker 2: bouncy houses.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Locarnos to Go is also helping this year again with
- 12:53Speaker 2: side dishes, so they're gonna do cole slaw, baked beans
- 12:57Speaker 2: and mac and cheese, which.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Was a huge help last year because.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Just cooking the meat is it takes forever, literally like
- 13:06Speaker 2: two days. So our pastor Tyler Ballard and my husband
- 13:11Speaker 2: Psicontoys will be cooking from Saturday into Sunday for and
- 13:18Speaker 2: we're prepared for fifteen one hundred to two thousand people.
- 13:24Speaker 3: And free. It's all free.
- 13:26Speaker 2: We've gotten donations from so many different local businesses so
- 13:31Speaker 2: that we can provide like a free event for families.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I know things are so expensive nowadays and we still
- 13:40Speaker 2: want to get everybody together and have a good time
- 13:44Speaker 2: and have some good family fun.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And yeah, thank god you did this last year and
- 13:53Speaker 1: this is it took off.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yes.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Williamstown in itself alone doesn't fool around when it comes
- 14:02Speaker 1: to when there's a get together or something in the
- 14:06Speaker 1: community in Williamstown. The whole town shows up.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a big family.
- 14:12Speaker 1: It really is just one big, huge, dysfunctional I know.
- 14:17Speaker 3: It's like you could maybe have a grumpy moment with
- 14:21Speaker 3: your neighbor whatever, but everybody shows up. It doesn't matter. Yeah, yep,
- 14:25Speaker 3: it's awesome.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Rain or shine.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yep.
- 14:28Speaker 2: We're praying for good weather, so please put us in
- 14:32Speaker 2: your prayers. But we did have a little rain last
- 14:38Speaker 2: year and it didn't stop us.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I remember that. Yeah, so I was at the Reggae festival.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I remember, Oh, so wet there. Yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Yes, so it's not wet yet, but that could change
- 14:53Speaker 2: in a week or two.
- 14:55Speaker 6: It's supposed to rain tomorrow.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I think that's that's a that's a good thing. We
- 15:01Speaker 1: need that.
- 15:02Speaker 3: We do need rain right now.
- 15:03Speaker 6: Yeah. Sure, it's very like the desert.
- 15:06Speaker 1: So you had over sixty vendors last year and you're
- 15:10Speaker 1: expecting same that.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yes, okay, yeah, And so if people listening want to
- 15:18Speaker 3: be a vendor, we.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Still have some spaces and all of all you have
- 15:24Speaker 2: to do is donate something from your stand or your
- 15:28Speaker 2: your display to the Silent Auction, and the Silent Auction
- 15:32Speaker 2: all of the proceeds go to our house which is
- 15:35Speaker 2: right here in very city, which is a great.
- 15:39Speaker 1: This is brilliant, this is this. That's the way to
- 15:42Speaker 1: do it right there. So no vendor fee, no vender,
- 15:46Speaker 1: but just donate something.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, we want to kind of like spread the wealth,
- 15:50Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like I don't want to.
- 15:54Speaker 2: We want it to be cost friendly towards everybody, but
- 15:58Speaker 2: also put some money towards good cause.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Sure. Yeah, that's that's I mean, that's really truly the
- 16:07Speaker 1: way to do it. That is fantastic. Our house is wonderful.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Yes, they are.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Great people over there who do so much behind the scenes.
- 16:16Speaker 1: And they're not trying to grab the spotlight every day.
- 16:21Speaker 3: No, not at all.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Just busy, busy people who are doing great, great work.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Yep.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So all right, so you said free food, yes, and
- 16:34Speaker 1: for two of the f words that I love anything
- 16:38Speaker 1: free in food, go ahead.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 8: I mean.
- 16:43Speaker 2: We have provided food for for people before, but when
- 16:48Speaker 2: my husband cooks, I think that's what brings people. Yeah,
- 16:53Speaker 2: like literally you're like psicontoys cooking like he brings the
- 16:58Speaker 2: people because he makes the best food.
- 17:01Speaker 3: You Literally, we don't even like go out.
- 17:03Speaker 2: To eat too much to restaurants because We're like, anything
- 17:07Speaker 2: dad makes is way better.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Like also, Gwen has Dad's jeans. I don't, so she's
- 17:15Speaker 6: really good at cooking. But I don't so I'm really
- 17:19Speaker 6: bad at cooking.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Oh that's not true. Me and Piper are the bakers
- 17:23Speaker 3: of the family.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys do cookies, cupcakes, muffins. Yeah, well that
- 17:33Speaker 1: that's that's awesome. Are you Are you going to be involved,
- 17:38Speaker 1: Piper with any of the face painting or the nails
- 17:41Speaker 1: or anything like that.
- 17:45Speaker 6: I don't know. I might help we with a face painting,
- 17:50Speaker 6: is gwat.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Yeah, for the Williamstown Community Church. I'm gonna help with that.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I'm gonna be a little busy because my soccer team
- 18:00Speaker 4: also has then is going to have a big sale there.
- 18:03Speaker 4: We're pretty sure, so bouncing back.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And forth, but wow, No, Sunday September seventh.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Yes, at eleven am, and.
- 18:13Speaker 1: We're gonna go all the way to like six, right
- 18:15Speaker 1: six pm.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Yep, we have two bands that will go and yes,
- 18:21Speaker 4: fun so set up starting around.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Oh gosh, we'll be there at like six.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll be there at six. But last year I
- 18:32Speaker 4: think some of the vendors showed up at like seven
- 18:35Speaker 4: thirty eight. O'clock to start setting up.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Mostly just depends on how big their display is kind
- 18:40Speaker 2: of thing. So, yeah, we have two great bands, so
- 18:45Speaker 2: the latest trend.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Who's new? I think this. I'm pretty sure. Guys correct
- 18:51Speaker 3: me if I'm wrong.
- 18:52Speaker 2: This is their first time playing in public, but they
- 18:57Speaker 2: have their own music and they are They're out on
- 19:01Speaker 2: like Spotify and you can look them up on the
- 19:06Speaker 2: internet and they have their own music. But Greg Wood
- 19:10Speaker 2: and Seth Roya, they're good friends of mine and they're
- 19:14Speaker 2: both in the band and they're awesome, and they're also
- 19:16Speaker 2: huge helpers in like the community and always do different things.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Seth and Sophie actually play at my pub all the time.
- 19:26Speaker 2: They're awesome, they're great musicians. Sophie is Seth's wife, if
- 19:30Speaker 2: people didn't know that. And they also are bringing down
- 19:33Speaker 2: their goats for the event, a little petty zoo because
- 19:37Speaker 2: they have friendly goats.
- 19:39Speaker 3: There's so much Seth happening.
- 19:41Speaker 2: And then Nightie Proof is our headliner right after, so
- 19:45Speaker 2: they'll be playing from three to six.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, wow, I know, I'm so excited.
- 19:51Speaker 1: That is so cool. Yeah, I love this. I want
- 19:56Speaker 1: you to throw some some big love at your your
- 20:00Speaker 1: answers and the businesses that have that have chipped in
- 20:04Speaker 1: here and made this possible. But before we go there, Yeah, no.
- 20:08Speaker 6: You go ahead.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Oh you can talk about that.
- 20:14Speaker 6: So there's like a hot wing contests and whoever can
- 20:18Speaker 6: like eat the most wings in like a small amount
- 20:23Speaker 6: of time.
- 20:24Speaker 2: So we do rounds, so we do like like five
- 20:27Speaker 2: wings per round, and I think they get rounds.
- 20:31Speaker 3: So we do.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Like like five wings per round, and I think.
- 20:36Speaker 6: They get hotter every every time.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And last year our winner ended up eating thirty wings
- 20:44Speaker 2: all together. And when I say they're hot, they're hot
- 20:47Speaker 2: like like for the real champions of Hot wing Lovers.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, to sign up and you get a two
- 20:57Speaker 2: hundred dollars gift card to the pub if you win.
- 21:01Speaker 4: My dad mad, yes, all right, go ahead, your dad made.
- 21:06Speaker 4: My dad made the sauce, and I couldn't get near
- 21:09Speaker 4: it because my eyes instantly cry, even just.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Around plug my nose every time I was welcome BAF
- 21:17Speaker 6: to my dad, because if it was really really bad,
- 21:21Speaker 6: like hurt, it would if you've ever had like spray
- 21:25Speaker 6: on your down your nose, it hurts like fast right
- 21:28Speaker 6: down your nose.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Have you had spray down your nose should actually come out.
- 21:36Speaker 4: It's nasty, doesn't feel good.
- 21:41Speaker 6: It's like you put up onions like his onions.
- 21:46Speaker 1: This this is gonna be Now do I get into
- 21:49Speaker 1: the hot wings?
- 21:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but he wasn't in the contest. He's too busy.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So I think all the work in the beginning, you know,
- 21:59Speaker 2: leading up to it, and then I kind of get
- 22:01Speaker 2: to like enjoy myself the day of the event, and
- 22:04Speaker 2: then he just does everything.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So on the on the Schofield chart, we're talking it
- 22:09Speaker 1: probably well into the millions.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Yes, very much. So how do we how do we
- 22:16Speaker 4: gauge that? I have no idea, right, I know what.
- 22:20Speaker 2: If there's there's different there's like he puts ghost pepper
- 22:24Speaker 2: and and.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Tons of different stuff. So oh yes, yes.
- 22:34Speaker 4: He just finds every hot pepper in town and just
- 22:38Speaker 4: like throws it into a sauce.
- 22:40Speaker 6: And he's like in the kitchen, he's like, you go
- 22:44Speaker 6: with that in there, put that in there. We're gonna
- 22:46Speaker 6: put that in there. And they're all random thing, you know.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Some of these some of these sauces, no joke here,
- 22:53Speaker 1: if you put them on your skin, it'll burn you
- 22:55Speaker 1: burn your skin. But we're supposed to eat this.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Right, Yes, it's good. Fair.
- 23:01Speaker 1: That's why I've burn a hole in your esophagus. So
- 23:07Speaker 1: that's going to be happening. What time is that?
- 23:10Speaker 3: Oh, good question.
- 23:14Speaker 2: It's going to happen probably between sets of ninety proof,
- 23:21Speaker 2: so whenever they decide to take their break, because obviously
- 23:25Speaker 2: it's a three hour set that they need, they need
- 23:28Speaker 2: a break in the middle or whatever, So whenever they decide,
- 23:32Speaker 2: so it'll probably it'll be between three and six.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Okay. So, and here's the thing about the hot Hot
- 23:39Speaker 1: wing eating contest is it's a great photo opportunity.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 5: People got it all over their face.
- 23:46Speaker 1: There's let's see, there's there's drooling, sweating, crying, I would say,
- 23:52Speaker 1: all loss of bodily fluids, crying, sweating, the whole the game.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yep, yeah, totally.
- 24:02Speaker 4: I got some good photos last year.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah she did coughing.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Oh, all of the things.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all of the things. Yeah. That's now. Will milk
- 24:15Speaker 1: be provided?
- 24:16Speaker 3: Milk and water and beer?
- 24:18Speaker 2: Okay, in front of everyone who chooses or is old
- 24:22Speaker 2: enough to drink beer, obviously.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Because beer, because beer always helps.
- 24:26Speaker 3: I think it helps with most things.
- 24:28Speaker 1: So so if you if you take a sip of milk.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Are you out? Nope, you're not out.
- 24:35Speaker 2: No, No, we let them do what they have to
- 24:39Speaker 2: do to get through it.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Wow.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Yes, might just slow you down a little bit.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Though, Ye tell me about these kids. They have been
- 24:47Speaker 1: helping you out and all. They were instrumental last year.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, these kids, Yes, yeah, they Honestly, this is going
- 24:59Speaker 2: to sound like I'm a slaved ever.
- 25:01Speaker 3: They do whatever I asked.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Them to do, honestly, whether it's like, hey, go empty
- 25:07Speaker 2: that trash can, or we need this or that or yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:14Speaker 3: They they're just wonderful. They're very helpful.
- 25:17Speaker 2: They're ready to help whenever they can, and whatever I
- 25:21Speaker 2: asked them to do. And Gwen's gonna be a little
- 25:23Speaker 2: busier this year because she is doing face paint and
- 25:27Speaker 2: painting and she also has her booth with her varsity
- 25:32Speaker 2: and JV's soccer.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Team booth for Yeah, there's a basic outside, No, honey,
- 25:38Speaker 6: I thought that inside.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Well, yes, it could be inside or outside AnyWho they
- 25:45Speaker 2: so she she'll be helping with that, yes, which is
- 25:49Speaker 2: also a huge contribution as well.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah, but in the morning will be me setting up
- 25:55Speaker 4: back and forth.
- 25:56Speaker 3: You know.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Yep, there's there's a lot. That's that's asked guys.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't. I think we don't do half as
- 26:07Speaker 4: much work my mom does because she plans this, she
- 26:10Speaker 4: froms January to now.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Seriously, she starts in January.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Yes, it takes a lot. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 26:22Speaker 2: So yeah, I was just gonna say we could do
- 26:25Speaker 2: it without our sponsors obviously, and most of them come
- 26:29Speaker 2: from the Williamstown area, but it's branching out more. We've
- 26:34Speaker 2: gotten a bunch of sponsors from Barry actually, which is wonderful,
- 26:38Speaker 2: and Washington and Orange, so it's it's just like growing
- 26:43Speaker 2: with sponsors, which is amazing because sometimes people think sponsorship
- 26:49Speaker 2: like businesses sponsor to bring business to them, but these
- 26:53Speaker 2: are just people that care about the community and want
- 26:56Speaker 2: there to be a free event and don't care what
- 26:59Speaker 2: town it's in as long you know what I mean,
- 27:02Speaker 2: which is wonderful. But so Beatie's in Washington, Adamstone Trucking,
- 27:08Speaker 2: James Farnham, Farnham's Homestead, Eman Chang Graw Ridge Runner Roofing,
- 27:14Speaker 2: our House which is here, and Barry Tiny's trash Service,
- 27:18Speaker 2: yipes Berry and Bevans and Sons Cliffhanger, which is from Massachusetts, Maria.
- 27:26Speaker 2: She has a home in Washington, but she mostly lives
- 27:32Speaker 2: in Massachusetts, so that's a huge one. Vermont Clean and
- 27:36Speaker 2: Green Bull Duke's Floor Covering, Real Bounds, Locano's to Go,
- 27:43Speaker 2: Williamstown Community Church, Key's Photography, Olive Clean which is Elena
- 27:50Speaker 2: Emory who works for me at the pub, but she
- 27:52Speaker 2: also has a cleaning business and she's wonderful. Washington Village Store,
- 27:59Speaker 2: Straight Flush LLC tea Time driving Range. My friend Josh
- 28:05Speaker 2: Turner who is also helping so much. He donated personally
- 28:10Speaker 2: and reached out to businesses that he knew to help
- 28:14Speaker 2: with the event as well. Pump and Pantry Truck, Dynasty
- 28:19Speaker 2: Customs which is a cool name. Lowry's Auto Plumber, Bob
- 28:24Speaker 2: who is Bob Garrish from Williamstown. He's amazing, Gusto's Right
- 28:31Speaker 2: Track Excavation and Landscaping, Mulligan's Irish Pub, and Lisa and
- 28:36Speaker 2: Justin Hathaway.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I know that's a lot.
- 28:41Speaker 6: I think you.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Did. I did, no, Yeah, So anyways, that.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Is really impressive.
- 28:54Speaker 2: It is impressive, and it's it's amazing that there's so
- 28:57Speaker 2: many people that are willing to help and we couldn't
- 29:02Speaker 2: do it without our sponsors obviously.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you need to do right now to
- 29:10Speaker 1: either become a sponsor? Is it too late or a vendor?
- 29:16Speaker 3: It's not too late.
- 29:17Speaker 2: So if you'd like to be a sponsor or a vendor,
- 29:21Speaker 2: please reach out to me. You can reach out to
- 29:23Speaker 2: me on Facebook. I'm my name's Lindsay Contoys. My phone
- 29:28Speaker 2: number is eight zero two eight three nine nine three
- 29:32Speaker 2: eight eight.
- 29:32Speaker 3: You can call me personally as well.
- 29:36Speaker 2: But honestly, the social media page is probably the best
- 29:40Speaker 2: way to get in contact with me. Or you can
- 29:42Speaker 2: email me at the pub two three seven three at
- 29:47Speaker 2: gmail dot com.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Okay, one more time with the eight three nine.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Eight three nine nine three eight.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Eight Okay, Yes, and it's not too late.
- 30:02Speaker 1: It's not too late.
- 30:03Speaker 2: No. And the more sponsors we have, the more fun
- 30:07Speaker 2: we can have, and the more stuff we can.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Provide for free.
- 30:12Speaker 2: And you know, bands and horse and carriage rides and
- 30:18Speaker 2: food is expensive, you know, trash removal, little things that
- 30:25Speaker 2: we don't think of everything.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I asked you last year, was this
- 30:30Speaker 1: is this going to be an annual thing?
- 30:34Speaker 2: And we almost didn't do it this year honestly because
- 30:39Speaker 2: it's so much work and I didn't really have help
- 30:44Speaker 2: this year, but I started planning it enough in advance,
- 30:48Speaker 2: and me thinking that I didn't have help turned into
- 30:54Speaker 2: me having a lot of help and a lot of
- 30:56Speaker 2: people reaching out and wanting to, you know, step in
- 31:01Speaker 2: and help out, which has been awesome. Even like my
- 31:05Speaker 2: parents and my brothers and have been helping, like doing
- 31:10Speaker 2: little things. We're painting the building at the pub right now,
- 31:13Speaker 2: trying to make it look nice for the event, and
- 31:18Speaker 2: just spreading the word and asking sponsorships.
- 31:21Speaker 3: And my mom does.
- 31:23Speaker 2: All like the ordering for like the food, and she's
- 31:25Speaker 2: been going to Hannaford's and trying to find.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Different deals on different things.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And there's a ton of stuff that goes into it
- 31:34Speaker 2: that people don't really think about.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Yeah, little things that just make it better, make it better.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I'm just you know, I'm sitting here and I'm thinking
- 31:46Speaker 1: about how busy you are. Just forget about an autumn festival.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Just you are one busy busy mom.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm constantly on the urge of having a stress
- 32:01Speaker 2: related heart attack.
- 32:07Speaker 1: You're just like, look at look at just the the
- 32:13Speaker 1: that's the extracurricular activity schedule alone just in your house. Yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 1: for sure, crazy.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it is crazy. We have even today, it's crazy.
- 32:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I mean we got to go right from here back
- 32:29Speaker 2: to home, pick up meat for meat bingo tonight at
- 32:32Speaker 2: the pub. We have to She has practice from three
- 32:36Speaker 2: thirty to five thirty. She has practice from five thirty
- 32:38Speaker 2: to seven. I have to work until eight o'clock.
- 32:41Speaker 1: This is what I'm talking about.
- 32:43Speaker 6: It's like we have one big calendar.
- 32:46Speaker 4: No, we have a we have a big calendar at home,
- 32:49Speaker 4: and if we have anything that we need to do,
- 32:50Speaker 4: we have to write it town where it's not going
- 32:52Speaker 4: to happen.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 6: So so it's like I have anything in that Mom
- 33:00Speaker 6: and Dad don't like to know about. I asked to
- 33:02Speaker 6: write it out on the calendar, and if I don't,
- 33:04Speaker 6: we're probably not going to be able to do it. Yep, okay,
- 33:07Speaker 6: because I have to do it like a week before
- 33:10Speaker 6: so we can plan things not on top of it.
- 33:13Speaker 3: That's right.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I almost like see your mom as someone who's like
- 33:19Speaker 1: got a big wall at the house with thousands of
- 33:23Speaker 1: sticky notes and moving them around with priorities here, what's
- 33:27Speaker 1: getting adjusted, what's getting moved here and there?
- 33:29Speaker 3: Looks like that it's just a calendar. Just I mean
- 33:31Speaker 3: it's big. Yeah, it's like, but it's not a wall.
- 33:40Speaker 1: This is it's remarkable that you're able to to do this.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Part of me says, I'm kind of I'm not surprised,
- 33:53Speaker 1: and I'm especially not surprised that something of this capacity
- 33:58Speaker 1: can be pulled off because of our community stepping stepping
- 34:04Speaker 1: up and coming toward you, gravitating towards you, saying let's
- 34:09Speaker 1: let's help out. Let's make this happen because we need this.
- 34:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Absolutely, And I like towards the end of last week
- 34:18Speaker 2: when I started getting sponsorships from like Gusto's and Mulligan's
- 34:22Speaker 2: and and Summer Street Tavern, as well as donated Tina
- 34:27Speaker 2: Coates who used to work for me and she started
- 34:32Speaker 2: her own business, and it's you know, it's amazing, but
- 34:38Speaker 2: it's just heartwarming to know that these businesses that people
- 34:42Speaker 2: always think that are competing with each other, right, you
- 34:45Speaker 2: know what I mean, that's one of I don't like
- 34:48Speaker 2: that question. People constantly are like, oh, well, you know,
- 34:52Speaker 2: so and so is doing this, and so I'm like,
- 34:54Speaker 2: that's great, that's wonderful. Like we as business owners want
- 34:59Speaker 2: more business in the community and to support more families,
- 35:04Speaker 2: and that kind of thing. It's it's wonderful and it's
- 35:07Speaker 2: nice to feel that from other businesses similar to mine.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you've told me that off the air many times.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Yes, it's nice. It's it's a good feeling, honestly. So
- 35:19Speaker 2: I'm very grateful. Thank you guys so much for sponsoring
- 35:22Speaker 2: this event.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Anything that we are forgetting again, uh eight three eighty eight.
- 35:29Speaker 1: If you want to be a vendor, or if you
- 35:31Speaker 1: want to be a sponsor, it's not too late, or
- 35:32Speaker 1: if you just want to help out that day and volunteer,
- 35:34Speaker 1: totally right.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Volunteers were a big, big help last year. A lot
- 35:39Speaker 4: of people just randomly showed up and helped red.
- 35:43Speaker 6: Thing of shirts that we had to keep running back
- 35:46Speaker 6: and forth to get them to give the other people.
- 35:49Speaker 3: So it was great.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Well, like I said, last year, we weren't quite prepared.
- 35:53Speaker 2: We thought it was going to be like a normal
- 35:56Speaker 2: Williamstown event, which I have expected it to be bigger,
- 36:01Speaker 2: I guess, but it was.
- 36:03Speaker 6: Our first time, so we didn't really like know what
- 36:06Speaker 6: to expect. We did I think that there was going
- 36:08Speaker 6: to be that many people because we didn't like.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so this year we're prepared. But if you'd like
- 36:13Speaker 3: to help out.
- 36:14Speaker 1: You know, Phiper, why why do you think there were
- 36:17Speaker 1: so many people last year?
- 36:20Speaker 6: Well, we hung up a lot of signs. The people
- 36:23Speaker 6: that wanted to go, invited a lot of people just
- 36:30Speaker 6: posting on Facebook and that's it, a bunch of signs everywhere.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Maybe because it was free.
- 36:39Speaker 2: One nice to be able to spend time with your
- 36:42Speaker 2: family and have some fun and not have to.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Break the bank. I mean, you go to a fair
- 36:46Speaker 3: nowadays and it's like, we don't I know, it's so bad.
- 36:50Speaker 2: We we love the fair, but we don't really go
- 36:54Speaker 2: anymore because it's like five hundred dollars to take a
- 36:58Speaker 2: family of four for one day, and like no one
- 37:02Speaker 2: can afford that nowadays.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's wild, No, I believe me. I know the
- 37:09Speaker 1: Caledonian County Fair is I think is just wrapped up
- 37:14Speaker 1: in nuts. Champlain Valley's going on right now. I know
- 37:17Speaker 1: it's crazy.
- 37:18Speaker 2: And it's not like we don't want to go, but
- 37:20Speaker 2: we just can't afford it, honestly.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and so this is.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Like one day, yea, have free fun, come with your families,
- 37:30Speaker 2: with your spouses, by yourself, with your parents, it doesn't matter,
- 37:34Speaker 2: and you can eat for free. You can go on
- 37:37Speaker 2: horse and carriage rides for free. You can get your
- 37:39Speaker 2: face paint, and you can go on bouncy houses. We're
- 37:41Speaker 2: gonna have games where I have two bands, you know, yep, cornhole,
- 37:48Speaker 2: cornhole free, free, free, free, everything's free.
- 37:53Speaker 6: Yeah, And it's really hard to find things like that
- 37:58Speaker 6: that aren't like free, or if they're not like super
- 38:01Speaker 6: super expensive.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yes, Piper, you kill me. She's so cute.
- 38:08Speaker 3: She's very cute kid.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Sunday, September seventh. Yes, and I'm gonna be I'm not
- 38:15Speaker 1: sure what my schedule is going to be. I know
- 38:18Speaker 1: I'm going to be wrapped up with the reggae festival,
- 38:20Speaker 1: but man, I just I would love to get over there.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I really would. You guys are It's going to be
- 38:25Speaker 1: a great time no matter what the weather's doing.
- 38:28Speaker 2: And you all, yeah, you all work so hard.
- 38:34Speaker 1: This is so amazing. I mean inside too.
- 38:38Speaker 6: I mean just it did rain a little bit last year,
- 38:41Speaker 6: but it but it was really fun on the bounty
- 38:45Speaker 6: houses because you would always.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Anything else that that we're forgetting or that we should
- 38:58Speaker 1: be thinking of. Other then please come out. Please be
- 39:01Speaker 1: a vender.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and just and even if you're not a vendor
- 39:05Speaker 2: or sponsor like come and enjoy yourselves. We love where
- 39:10Speaker 2: we live in our community, and we love seeing people
- 39:13Speaker 2: get together and have a good time.
- 39:16Speaker 3: And yeah. September seventh, eleven, am be there be square?
- 39:22Speaker 1: Yeah awesome, Thank you guys so.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Much for Thank you, jad, thank you.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I love having you in here. Can we do it again?
- 39:29Speaker 1: Three of us? Next?
- 39:30Speaker 4: Sure?
- 39:31Speaker 1: Next year? Will there be one next year?
- 39:34Speaker 4: Hopefully?
- 39:35Speaker 2: I mean the I mean we might as well keep
- 39:37Speaker 2: it going, right.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Have we named the new puppy on August twenty ninth yet?
- 39:44Speaker 3: Oh goodness, it's just a question. I bet dad's cringing listening.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, she's He's on the other side right now,
