- 0:31We are much more horrifying show this week so I'm going to come
- 0:35at you very even-keeled like over and say hello everyone.
- 0:39Welcome to another fun athletic. Sole C and then we go ahead and
- 0:44develop really there. It's lucious.
- 0:47How are you? And then I go to the other side
- 1:08and then we'll see how this goes.
- 1:25You know, it's that time of year, you know?
- 1:29We're Thanksgiving around the corner.
- 1:33Yeah. How how do you get exactly this?
- 1:36This is by far one of the fastest moving fall at Falls.
- 1:40I've ever been a part of and yeah, I don't know how we got
- 1:47here but you know, I've got some work to do to January.
- 1:52Who's put it that way, right? And we did happen to beat you
- 1:57and women's basketball tonight. So, oh, that sucks.
- 2:01This is true. Yeah.
- 2:04Hey, we're on the comment now don't don't don't sleep anyway.
- 2:10We are 51 votes for top 25. In this past.
- 2:16We're moving up and lost 50 of them tonight.
- 2:19By losing the TSU, And give him five minutes because that's what
- 2:39we promised him last week and he he's written some notes for us.
- 2:44Absolutely. And yeah, I appreciate you.
- 2:46You know the EP being generous enough to give me some time to
- 2:52discuss the what, what? We call the college football,
- 2:58playoff in my extreme colleague Clyde refused to call the
- 3:01playoff, but so, but you know, I we there's been a lot of talk on
- 3:08the in on these tiles about The foolishness will call it
- 3:14romantic the shenanigans and all the stuff.
- 3:18The SEC bias so that all right, which I have found comical and
- 3:24now that I've done what I tend to do, I put I put my Governor
- 3:28had on the last week. I did a very deep dive into what
- 3:32is the college football, playoff or non-playoff York lie.
- 3:36So you know, so it was said one of these tiles last week that
- 3:42Three or four times. The SEC has been given an extra
- 3:45team. Probably should have had one
- 3:47three or four times which clearly has never happened.
- 3:50So, let me just give you some little revisionist history here,
- 3:54so that we can all maybe understand the foolishness that
- 3:57is the college football playoff. So if we go back to your 1 and
- 4:0114, 15 4 P, 5 teams can't make it.
- 4:05So there is no issue there. Ohio, state was the winner that
- 4:09year in Year 2015. 16, 455 chairs, Alabama wins the title,
- 4:17the first year that there's only three P5.
- 4:19Champs is the year 3 which is 1617 Ohio state was the 14 and
- 4:26didn't win the Big Ten. And the two teams that didn't
- 4:30make it. There were P5, Champs were Penn
- 4:33State and Oklahoma both had two losses, Ohio State got in
- 4:39because they because Penn State had to be, it will be those two
- 4:45because Penn State at two losses, right?
- 4:50And if I'm not mistaken Penn State beat Ohio State been
- 4:54pissed, they went on to lose. Another game, which gave him two
- 4:57losses, but it and 20, and the 1718 season.
- 5:03Again, three p5's Champions. There's one loss, Alabama, team
- 5:06that included in 20 SEC because Georgia did, but the other two
- 5:11P5 camps had two losses clearly did.
- 5:16And so on, hold on a second. Alabama and one loss, they
- 5:28didn't win the SEC because Georgia.
- 5:30Did I just said that? Did they play in the
- 5:32championship game? They couldn't have all got it
- 5:34planned championship game? I know.
- 5:36I know. I know the scenario, but here's
- 5:38the deal. Okay, the other to power five
- 5:40Champions had two losses. Clearly adding Alabama wasn't a
- 5:45problem because they won the whole thing.
- 5:50Those are. Okay.
- 5:52Okay, that's what? Okay, bye yours.
- 5:54But these are my thoughts, not your Miss, right?
- 5:58So the next year 3p 5 Champs another day. the next year for
- 6:04people Champs, The next year. 35 Champs and Notre Dame again.
- 6:12And then last year, you're two people Champs, you have the best
- 6:16group of five team, which is tendency when, which is some
- 6:19Cincinnati. I'm sorry.
- 6:20And then George is added, because they had the clothes SEC
- 6:24Championship Game loss to Alabama, and clearly Georgia
- 6:27wasn't a problem because they won the whole thing.
- 6:33So I'm still in doing my research and with my Governor
- 6:36had on trying to figure out how ESPN is picking the four teams
- 6:40to go to the playoffs. I'm still trying to figure out
- 6:44all this SEC bias because it's only happened twice in eight
- 6:48years that an extra SEC team has been added twice.
- 6:51Okay, look, you you heard me twice twice.
- 6:58Twice in eight years and both times when the esoteric stinking
- 7:01was added, they won the title. So I'm not sure we're all this
- 7:07conjecture and foolishness and all the other things that come
- 7:10out of you guys, mouth is relevant.
- 7:13So the Talking Heads can talk, all they want, the narrative can
- 7:16be pushed all at once. Then the day as I tried to tell
- 7:19you guys last week is this is decided on the field because the
- 7:24years were the extra team has been added.
- 7:26They've had one loss, everybody else.
- 7:27Add to so there's justification. Just freakin pretty way back to
- 7:33the back to this year because I'm sure there's going to be a
- 7:36plethora of nonsense is about to be Speedway, kick kick, so
- 7:39that's up to see.
- 7:54But again, what I said, you now want to give me a retort Try to
- 8:01prove your point. We have been listening to your
- 8:04point for three years. The point of the point that the
- 8:09facts are the facts reading is fundamental, I say, shallow dive
- 8:13because you looked at since it's been 14 and this conversation is
- 8:20about nailed as been about the college football, playoff and it
- 8:23was no playoff before. Okay, that's fine.
- 8:27That's why I said a shallow dive because my conversation is
- 8:30always been about the BCS and how it was created.
- 8:34And my team is of the conversation every week because
- 8:38the chaos that the committee's going to pick the 14th.
- 8:42I think based on what here, but that based on what to see.
- 8:45There you go based on what based on what.
- 8:49So but it's happened twice in eight years.
- 8:51That's quite the trend. Isn't it?
- 8:5325% of the time? I Twice in eight years, I
- 8:57appreciate everyone wind and, but again, back to my point,
- 9:02which you will never want to hear.
- 9:05But that's what the 25% of the time that they did it, the team,
- 9:09they added one of the title. So clearly they belong, But
- 9:17what's that mean? It means the killer proof.
- 9:20It means those things are actually exclusive.
- 9:22They don't have anything to do it twice that it happened.
- 9:28You can't erase that. The twice that the SEC team
- 9:32since he was added to the player where nobody thought they
- 9:36belong, that team into being the best team in the country, on the
- 9:39field, which is where the championship is what we greatly
- 9:42appreciate. So lucious has extra credit and
- 9:46extracurricular work but and we around we want to talk about.
- 9:49That's what Teams right now.
- 10:17I think Georgia runs the table and they get it done.
- 10:21I think TCU contrary to popular belief wasn't table.
- 10:24Gets it done there. I think there's a team of
- 10:26Destiny team of Destiny this year.
- 10:28They find a way. I think that, you know, the, the
- 10:32caveat to the whole situation is the Ohio State.
- 10:35Michigan game. If Michigan goes into Ohio,
- 10:38State and losses by three points, they're still both going
- 10:41to get it. now, if Michigan Michigan goes into how State and
- 10:47blasts Ohio, State Tennessee is getting it, As long as Tennessee
- 10:52wins out, you know, if Ohio State even if while State loses
- 10:56a close game to Michigan, even though they're at home, they
- 10:59still might have a slight Edge over Tennessee and getting in
- 11:03maybe. But I think the whole key to the
- 11:06Big Ten getting to is Ohio, State beating Michigan, an
- 11:10overtime, or by last second field.
- 11:12Yeah. But and I in the right and my
- 11:16mind in the right world, it's Georgia, Ohio State Michigan.
- 11:21Again and TCU the way it is now and if one of those teams slips
- 11:24up tennesseans in USC has a hard road to get in because they got
- 11:29to have that, don't control their own destiny.
- 11:33You gotta write that down to, you got right down to it.
- 11:35What is for is It's the current for right?
- 11:40My correction is the sticker for debate that depending depending
- 11:44on the Ohio State Michigan game after ha State machine game is a
- 11:46blowout. Or not that close.
- 11:50Then I think Tennessee gets in over the loser that get Do you
- 11:55saying TCU wins rest of their games?
- 11:57Right. Absolutely, I believe that.
- 11:59I'm on. I'm on board with that too but
- 12:04I'm glad you guys are all on board now.
- 12:07I mean, we're not all on board. Oh, I know.
- 12:09You're not on board. You're never going to be on
- 12:11board because you want the chaos so I absolutely want the K.
- 12:16I know. So that's why I still get so mad
- 12:18that we created ourselves, you know.
- 12:30So, I felt like the one loss that
- 12:45was lurking was against Texas and now that now that they've
- 12:51beaten Texas, I think they are not going to lose.
- 12:56Until they get to the tournament.
- 13:01I'll say this tcu's defense is not.
- 13:07It's not good enough to hold Texas to three points, meaning
- 13:12they played out of their minds and did it right?
- 13:14That what the free seven points they got on.
- 13:16The fumble recovery is a joke. Yeah, but I will say this their
- 13:20defense is a whole lot better than most people thought they
- 13:23were absolutely like a whole lot better.
- 13:28They're dbe's and safeties. And this is this is histamine.
- 13:34Since what's his name was there? I mean that is what huh
- 13:39Patterson there. Yeah that is what they've hung
- 13:42their hat on forever and it's no different this year.
- 13:47They have some animals in their defensive backfield it is.
- 13:53I mean it's pretty clear. What's what I think is very
- 13:56interesting and it was exposed in the Texas game, is that
- 13:59there, those kids are obviously fear Alice because they were
- 14:03facing better athletes. Oh yeah, life.
- 14:05The the skill position guys, at Texas are better athletes and
- 14:09are faster than already. Yeah.
- 14:11And then all of the cornerbacks and safeties at NDSU and they
- 14:15were Fearless. Yeah.
- 14:17And I give him credit, like they look, they played.
- 14:21Yeah. Very, very, very aggressive
- 14:24sound football. Yes.
- 14:27That that sounds like a very that sounds like a pretty big
- 14:30indictment of. Staffs or reward to coaching
- 14:34staffs of at TCU. I think for me I would say it's
- 14:38a big reward of coaching staffs. I think that the TCU coaching
- 14:43staff is coaching their buns off.
- 14:47I would agree with that II. Gotta tell you.
- 14:52I forgot how bad the Big 12 was this year.
- 14:57Just recently looking at it, Kansas State's and second place
- 15:01she by. Okay, wait stop.
- 15:02Before you say another word. I want to say for the record, if
- 15:05y'all with you all remember and you can rewind this tape, I told
- 15:09you Kansas state was was the second best team in the
- 15:11conference a month ago. And I told you, the Kansas state
- 15:14is far better than people give them credit for like you're
- 15:17doing right now. I'm telling you right now Kansas
- 15:20state is a very good Good football team and they got not
- 15:24one, but two very Dynamic quarterbacks.
- 15:28Well, that all may be true. I guess we'll be finding that
- 15:33out sooner rather than later. But you know, they did play
- 15:38earlier in the air, right? And I think TC won that game at
- 15:41home by like a 10-point, something like that, something
- 15:45like that. But if the big tail, if the Big
- 15:4912 rules are still the same way that I believe that they are
- 15:52Then that means Kansas State and TC.
- 15:54You're going to have to have a rematch in the championship game
- 15:57on a neutral field as long as they both run the table.
- 15:59Yes, right so well kit, tcu's in the championship game, sure.
- 16:04But but this is about the conversation is, ultimately, can
- 16:07t. See you make the final four and
- 16:08in order to do that they obviously can't lose at all,
- 16:11correct? You know, if you're telling me
- 16:14that the Big 12 championship game is going to be TCU versus
- 16:17Kansas State. Then as much as I'm a route for
- 16:20chaos, I don't really think that tcu's going to lose a game so
- 16:25they'll probably end up in, I don't imagine.
- 16:32So here's my issue. I know I know your tone.
- 16:37Okay. And here's what I'm going to
- 16:39tell you. TCU versus Kansas State is a
- 16:43better game than whatever the Pac-12 championship game ends
- 16:46up. Well right now the Pac-12
- 16:48championship game looks like USC versus Oregon and I would
- 16:52imagine that that's better game. First of all, it USC is almost
- 16:58certainly going to lose UCLA because they fumble the bag
- 17:02every time it's his Pete Carroll's been gone like well.
- 17:07Okay. See and and this is I mean this
- 17:10is Like this is one of these football conversations that
- 17:14really have nothing to do with anything, right.
- 17:16Like right, like a girl in his time there and those athletes
- 17:20have absolutely nothing to do with Lincoln Riley in these
- 17:22acts. That's fact.
- 17:24And honestly, Lincoln Riley's ability to coach has almost
- 17:27nothing to do with with the team that he currently has, because
- 17:30it's an assemblage of kids. He stole from Oklahoma and kids,
- 17:34he didn't even recruit that at USC.
- 17:36And so it's a, it's a hodgepodge and stuff and I went to his
- 17:39team's and he isn't They're doing a hell of a job.
- 17:41So listen, can you SC lose to UCLA?
- 17:45Of course, they can because UCLA's a good football team and
- 17:48it's a rivalry game and you know there are no rules, right?
- 17:51So whatever is going to happen is going to happen.
- 17:54The Pac-12 has done what it has always done, which is eat
- 17:56itself. It's almost impossible.
- 17:58It is impossible to go undefeated in the Pac-12.
- 18:01It's been done. One time legitimately since
- 18:042001. Yeah numbers don't lie on that.
- 18:11Okay, so it's it's not a surprise that no one made that
- 18:16route happens. So TC you should buy all
- 18:20evidence run the table and if they do they should be in the
- 18:25final four by, right? I will say that they should be
- 18:29in their do. I believe that there is a lock
- 18:31to be in there if they do that. No.
- 18:33Because again, if LSU makes the championship game and wins it,
- 18:39they're going to be In Georgia, will be in the Big Ten Champion
- 18:45undefeated. Absolutely begin in the
- 18:47conversation will be is TCU undefeated with the
- 18:51championship. Truly the one of the best four
- 18:55teams over Tennessee. And, you know, that's going to
- 18:57be the problem and I'm telling you, it won't look.
- 18:59That is not going to be a conversation because TCU, look,
- 19:04their own ranking. System is what is what is going
- 19:07to lock TCU in, if they win the rest of their games.
- 19:10They're the Big 12 Champion. They will be here.
- 19:13I'll bet all of the money would have gone, so I would hope so
- 19:16but that wouldn't even be a conversation.
- 19:18If it was Texas or Oklahoma they just begin, it wouldn't even be
- 19:23part of a conversation. I will not argue with you
- 19:25because that is probably true. So but it's a conversation for
- 19:30people like ourselves that don't matter.
- 19:32It has no voice that I don't know.
- 19:33It's a conversation for the people that do matter.
- 19:35They're happy. No.
- 19:37How would you know that bro? They step out and tell.
- 19:40You that they're having hold on a second.
- 19:42The people those people aren't in the room.
- 19:45The people in the room, you know, I hold on a second, hold
- 19:48on a second. I want you to act as if I never
- 19:50opened my mouth, because I'm not gonna do this.
- 19:53I'm not you can't go ahead and talk.
- 19:56No, no I'm not trying to because I just gave you great examples
- 20:03of the fact that this is done the right way, but you insist on
- 20:07having it your way, so have it your way.
- 20:08So I don't have a fact that every single year whoever is the
- 20:13head of said committee steps out every week and tells you what
- 20:18the people in the room were having the conversations about
- 20:22And what me and Lamar are currently.
- 20:25Discussing are the realities of how those conversations go
- 20:29because they've talked about how those conversations go every
- 20:33single year. So in a couple weeks when that
- 20:36exact conversation is reported out and I say I told you, that's
- 20:40what they were talking about. You want to look at me and act
- 20:42like I didn't say it so well I trust me I will not do that.
- 20:46See I'm not you, I won't do that.
- 20:47I will admit when I'm wrong every time what I won't do, see
- 20:51what I I won't do is I won't spend The Narrative of the
- 20:54conversation so I could be writing if I'm wrong.
- 20:57I'm wrong. I'm gonna spin.
- 20:58Exactly. You're right.
- 20:59There's nothing to spinning. Nothing at all.
- 21:03All right, all right. Well that was not credible.
- 21:06Five minutes to turned into 20 but it was good.
- 21:11I like a spirited debate is worthwhile.
- 21:14I like So, I guess this might be another spirited debate that
- 21:21because I'm talking about the most improved athlete of 2022,
- 21:29different from. So, I'm going to jump before
- 21:31everybody else jumps in the audience.
- 21:32And says, we already said this different from the breakout
- 21:35Earthly, those who made a name for themselves rather those who
- 21:39did better for themselves in 2022.
- 21:45Oof. There's so many ways you can go
- 21:49with this and now it's why I like this question is, are we
- 21:53doing separate for men and women?
- 21:57I mean, I think we should. Yes.
- 21:59Okay, we should so lucious. Would you like to do the women
- 22:03or the men? First sir, You don't have to go.
- 22:06First, I'm asking I'm asking for some Direction.
- 22:09I mean, I mean just as a gentleman, lady should always go
- 22:12first. I just wanted to hear you say it
- 22:14sir. All right.
- 22:22I'll jump in it most improved as I would Define improve.
- 22:27It seems pretty cut and dry to me and has to be Toby on the
- 22:30phone. Did she get better this year?
- 22:35Yeah, I'll just a few improvements, you know, from
- 22:42from a talented person who was always in the mix to the gold
- 22:47medalist and blows the world record away.
- 22:52Got to be most improved. Me really know who else I would
- 22:57throw a minute. Listen, obviously nobody's going
- 23:01to be like Clyde's, an idiot. I mean that's it.
- 23:03That's, that's a good. That's a good pick.
- 23:05It's not the only reason at least, once every week, we're
- 23:09going, we're just, we're going to see improvement from me.
- 23:13Is this is more of a statistical Thing.
- 23:17Versus an honors thing. And I don't know how This may be
- 23:23construed as a bit of a homer pick, but when you improve by
- 23:28500 and some change points in them, the multi of it and you
- 23:33become one of the top 10 or 15 females in the world.
- 23:37The 400 hurdles, never done it before.
- 23:40If that's not most important common, what they are most
- 23:43improved is I'm going with at all like I said, these are great
- 23:48answers. I think this is I knew this was
- 23:51going to be And very good Governor because I know your
- 23:55answers is going to be flowery and tremendous.
- 23:58I would like for you to because my answer is going to be
- 24:02controversial and I'm okay with it, it's very difficult to be
- 24:07the best person. In the world and then be the
- 24:13most improved. Wow, but I'm going to say this.
- 24:19Wow. Okay.
- 24:21A year ago. it was a race between Sid, and Delilah.
- 24:32Uh-huh, a year later. It's a race between Sid over
- 24:37hurdles and the best 400-meter runners in the world flat. like,
- 24:45I know my answer is not necessarily the best answer,
- 24:48right? Because I think that the best
- 24:49answers have been given, but I do think that sometimes People
- 24:56don't give Credence to how hard it is to improve all great.
- 25:01Right? Like the cuz the increments are
- 25:03not not as big. Right.
- 25:06But I'll say this. Like if Toby almost summer in
- 25:071209 next year, like that's a huge Improvement.
- 25:10I don't give a damn mmm. And I'm just saying this The CID
- 25:15that we saw this year. Is way better than the CID we
- 25:21saw last year. Way better.
- 25:26Okay. You drop the mic.
- 25:30I mean that's my answer. I don't know if it's an over to
- 25:33Mike drop but it is my answer. Well, I as I was thinking about
- 25:45the answer to this question. I mean Toby I'm a sun popped
- 25:52into my head. I mean you can't you can't
- 25:56quantify what she did from 21 to 22.
- 26:00That is just insane, you know? And and the debate May rage on
- 26:07and whatever about what happened on that magical day and you
- 26:11Eugene Oregon. But look, I mean, anytime you
- 26:19break the world record in the ones in the 100 hurdles, I mean
- 26:25this this call it, what it is. But I had a, you know, I thought
- 26:33about something and I immediately started to do some
- 26:38some research. Now, does anyone know what
- 26:42Pollito ran last year? 48.
- 26:48Hi Okay, so nice. That's And 2020.
- 27:03Okay. In August of 21.
- 27:07She was 51 88 in 2020. And 48, 99 and Zurich, okay?
- 27:15So I I thought about those those two young ladies from the
- 27:20Dominican Republic and what they were able to do this year and
- 27:26how I mean I don't know that it's even being talked about
- 27:30enough. Wait what?
- 27:33Those two young ladies are doing and and but yeah I have to give
- 27:40it to Toby. My son.
- 27:42There's there's no question in my mind that she has to be the
- 27:47most improved. You know.
- 27:49And I mean well well deserved I mean I can't wait to see what
- 27:55next year holds so I like the Anna Hall argument Because it's
- 28:02the Maltese, right? Yeah, there's so many areas to
- 28:06improve. Yep.
- 28:08And the foreign hurls and I think that part gets lost.
- 28:11I know you throw in the 400 hurdles, caveat into that.
- 28:18And I think it's the best out of the box case to be made, but at
- 28:23the end of the day and I mean, this in the most respectful way
- 28:27possible. It's at a lower level, right?
- 28:30She's a world-class ass. Active.
- 28:32But everything, the highest things that she accomplished are
- 28:37not on the world stage of hi. So if you, yes, she was started
- 28:43the World Championships. I understand that that's my
- 28:45point, right? If she'd been if she'd been the
- 28:47gold medalist, well, I wasn't worth the wait, that's a
- 28:51different that's different. I said, she's not at the highest
- 28:54stage, I don't know what stage you want to run.
- 28:57She don't know. I mean, I mean the top wasn't a
- 28:59gold medalist. Alright if she if she did.
- 29:01Things she did in somehow managed to eke out the gold
- 29:05medal. I think that's a runaway
- 29:08argument. I was going to ask you a
- 29:10question because I'm not going to pretend.
- 29:12Like I kept track of the multis. I was there and I watched it and
- 29:14it was fun. How close was he to the gold
- 29:18medal? I feel like there was a gap
- 29:20there. There was definitely again.
- 29:22Yeah, okay. And so the goal of the gold
- 29:25medals doesn't play fair. She doesn't.
- 29:29So and so we have we have to learn Her with her, but she
- 29:32doesn't write a year from now, and all very well.
- 29:37Maybe the gold medalist and I wouldn't even be shocked and she
- 29:41won't be entertaining The Foreigner hurdles at the pro
- 29:44level. I don't imagine.
- 29:46Hey y'all are crazy down there. Maybe she will, Brian.
- 29:52She's not here right now but I mean, 12:42. 12:12.
- 30:04Yes, the game. Look, look.
- 30:07Look II. Like I said, I mean, I'm not
- 30:10going to argue against Toby. And in my pic was clearly a bit
- 30:15of a homer pick. And that's what our job is to
- 30:18give outside the box answers because look, the whole reason
- 30:21people watch this show is because they want to know stuff.
- 30:24They didn't already know yes anything to use it thing with
- 30:28because we again Max I'm basing my nor like I said just overall
- 30:31Improvement and three tenses a lot but 500 points in a multi is
- 30:36a ton. Is it in when you when you when
- 30:39you take on a new event and your slowest?
- 30:42Time of the year was 55 lo mein like she opened up at 55 for and
- 30:49never ran 55 again. Yes.
- 30:55So, so taking another Deep dive into this, and I can't help it
- 31:01now, kofo, guess what? Her PB was coming into 2022.
- 31:10In the 400, no clue. The children 4980.
- 31:23Geez. Okay, there you go.
- 31:28Thank you ball went from 5037 last year to 4944 this year.
- 31:34The shoes. What we're talking about here?
- 31:37I feel bad for Famke bouquet by the first birthday of all time.
- 31:43Oh no she doesn't. Listen every single thing that
- 31:50competed in Jackie's era has the worst birthday ever.
- 31:53Exactly. Absolute can't beat a cyborg.
- 31:57No, no. Oh my gosh.
- 32:02Listen for the 80s, right, like Jack, he's a cyborg.
- 32:09Yeah. Like look, 1260 something was
- 32:12really, really fast then as she ran that in heps.
- 32:17Right now. Like that's that's not that much
- 32:202737 40s and yeah, I mean, yeah, okay yeah, so no big deal.
- 32:31All right, switch over to the nuns lean.
- 32:35Whoo. Whoo whee this one's hard but
- 32:38this one's really, really, I think it's definitely things
- 32:41more difficult. I'm going to go pseudo Homer and
- 32:47and totally ready for one of y'all to change my mind.
- 32:50But I'm gonna go pseudo, Homer and say from 4880 to 47:39 and a
- 32:57metal. I'm going, I'm a role with
- 33:00Trevor bastard, you know? Shout out to my Manor.
- 33:03Clark. I'm on a roll with Trevor as
- 33:07well with a shout-out to Champion.
- 33:12Allison from 45. 52 4370. Yeah yeah yeah.
- 33:22Let's not even talk about what he went through indoors.
- 33:26Yeah. Okay.
- 33:30I mean and indoors he went from 45 8245 flat.
- 33:34Yeah yeah. So now he had he had egg for
- 33:37year but I mean it's hard for me anyway to argue against Trevor
- 33:39because Lord and it was just a manner.
- 33:42He just And he has what you have to have in order to compete in
- 33:47that event. You have to be Fearless, you
- 33:49know, you have to be have the ability to come off the turn and
- 33:52being triple lactate State and just put your head down and get
- 33:56to the finish line. So he has that.
- 34:00See, it's very interesting because I haven't given my
- 34:03answer by any means, but like it's hard to pick between who
- 34:07improve more Trevor Bassett or De Santos.
- 34:13Because because it's the same event and it's a similar kind of
- 34:17massive growth from one year to the next, but one guy won the
- 34:20gold medal winner. One of the Santos 46 seconds
- 34:23last year. He was.
- 34:25Yeah, absolutely. But he was he was he was the
- 34:29third guy. He was he when the camera gets
- 34:35for me, it's not necessary. It's hard to improve by that
- 35:09much in anything. Yes, you know, it's just so
- 35:15here's the argument for dos Santos, he went from 4672 to
- 35:2046:29 but he did it completely differently.
- 35:26Now, he's 12 step in the whole, you know, he's doing what he
- 35:30does. Now, here's the key.
- 35:32He also took down the guy that broke the world record the year
- 35:34before. Hmm.
- 35:36I First. And that was the game happens
- 35:41when it happens. He absolutely won the race and
- 35:47War home isn't making any excuses right though.
- 35:50I'm not gonna make an excuse for him.
- 35:53I want to see them race this year.
- 35:55Yeah he took anything from until he takes it from war but I'm
- 36:01going to say this, my answer also and I'm gonna hate I hate
- 36:05when we all pile on but At the end of the day like this one is
- 36:08just you can't really deny it. If you just if you get in get
- 36:12into it and understand the sport like What Trevor bastard did
- 36:17this year. Is if you wrote it out at the
- 36:22beginning of the year, right? This is what's going to happen
- 36:25and then you handed it to somebody was like read this.
- 36:28They would almost everybody would look at you go.
- 36:30Nope. Knock it happen, too.
- 36:33Much it, we're forgetting that Trevor got a silver medal in the
- 36:37open 400. This is my point, is it?
- 36:40I was actually there and watching that young man, like,
- 36:45just slay dragons indoors in the open, 400 and event.
- 36:48That's not his event, right? Yeah.
- 36:50He's good at it. He's good at the quarter but I
- 36:53don't think anybody saw silver medalists at indoor World
- 36:56Championships out of him and to take that momentum and then
- 37:00carry it all back into his is his specialty and still as as
- 37:05solution says very eloquently put like Run into that
- 37:10ridiculously deep lactic stays and be like not we good winning
- 37:16winning. Feels better than this pain than
- 37:18this Fame pain feels bad and that's just listen.
- 37:23Anybody who's paying attention to understands that there are
- 37:27four people to be Reckon with in the 400 hurdles on the men's
- 37:34side. Now, there is not a three headed
- 37:36monster anymore. It is a four-headed must Are we
- 37:45missing missed certain, mr. Nitin like that's kind of
- 37:51ridiculous to That is that is some cartoon Improvement.
- 37:55Right there to go from 1984, 1949?
- 38:02That mean a metal was well, yes, he knew I was going to mention
- 38:08him, but I didn't want to be oblique Seville bills, from 1004
- 38:14to 1086 986 986, sorry, Austin roesler, 48, 81 to 47:59.
- 38:28You know, the flat part is that if you're just lures, a great
- 38:31job with that. Dude, he did absolutely.
- 38:34If you're just talking about empirical Improvement, I think
- 38:37so lucious actually hit the nail on the head.
- 38:39I think it's Champion else. Yeah.
- 38:42Right. If you just talk about empirical
- 38:44Improvement, right? Let's so like, if you put
- 38:47everybody's performances on on, the the Beloved point chart,
- 38:53Right? And then you put their new
- 38:55performances on the point chart. I'd be willing to bet you the
- 38:58champion. Allison's growth number is
- 39:00largest. I hope that made sense like just
- 39:07a little bit just by the just literally, by the numbers, I
- 39:12think camping Allison actually improved by the most of anybody
- 39:16see. And that's one of those things
- 39:17where like You know, watching it to the day-to-day progress of it
- 39:24like when he knew he had the injury at the end or
- 39:27championships because I thought I told you guys this, he was on
- 39:31his way to run in 44 seconds in Birmingham was no doubt about
- 39:34that and then the injury happened and then the firt like
- 39:39he was in the pool for like two and a half weeks.
- 39:41And the first day back out. I'm like, what am I watching?
- 39:45Like this is not supposed to be happening and like he was just
- 39:49so driven like a, like, He was putting himself through like
- 39:52through the ringer. He's like coach, I have to be
- 39:54better out there. You keep that up.
- 39:56You're going to be mine. So and then dice 24, first time
- 40:00we ran in me split 40, 36 on the relay and I'm like, it's all.
- 40:04So, you know, it was just great to watch that.
- 40:06And, you know, the people that know Champion is he's just such
- 40:09a humble hard-working kid young, man.
- 40:12She called was not a kid and that just made it a pleasure to
- 40:15watch. I think, I don't know.
- 40:17Trevor bats, it like that, but Trevor appears to be the exact
- 40:22same way, you know, like this. As hard-working humble, I will I
- 40:27will, you know, take your heart out of your chest if I have to
- 40:32kind of God. No, because I believe in my
- 40:35heart that if other people in that event area, had that same
- 40:43Ish to them. The event were getting even
- 40:46better. Because I mean, because because
- 40:48Russell is not going away, he's not, you know, obviously rise,
- 40:53not going away. And I agree with Clyde that your
- 40:57home is not happy about what happened last year at all.
- 41:00Have you seen his videos? He has been posting some videos
- 41:06that I don't know the psychopath.
- 41:11Yes. Yes this this is going to go to
- 41:18another level, I mean yeah, so again just taking a deep dive,
- 41:25just popping up some things. Noah bibbing from Mauritius 200
- 41:32meters went from 2146 in 2021 to 1989.
- 41:39Okay? Oh my gosh, just not going to
- 41:48have that conversation. And it's not like he, you know,
- 41:51that was a blip. He was 20 21, 37 and 20, 20, 20,
- 41:562007, and 2018. So, he went from in 2018 year in
- 42:031098 in 2022, year, and 1003 next.
- 42:15Oh my gosh, you will not break me into that.
- 42:26Before we get there, a question of personal reflection for you
- 42:31all as as professions profession Alice, what is the one thing
- 42:37that you were told realized, or learned that change your
- 42:40perspective on your professional development?
- 42:46Yeah, I'll go for it. And that one down was a good is
- 42:48really easy for me. And I think I've mentioned this
- 42:50before in other conversations, my first year Florida in the
- 42:56National indoor championships and I'm all bright-eyed.
- 42:59Because I got a guy, the 60 to 200, who you mean something in
- 43:04the back of my mind, I think he's got a chance, but
- 43:06realistically, I know he's probably about to get drug
- 43:08right. So, but throws coaching the
- 43:13never want to sit at the time. Was Jerry Clayton.
- 43:16And Jay Clayton said to me, I didn't want you to stay in a
- 43:19warm period. Now, as a first-time coach, is
- 43:22he I think I want to watch the meat.
- 43:24He goes, you can watch The Middle on the monitors
- 43:26downstairs, I need you to stay down there so you can see what
- 43:30kind of athletes we need to win. Wow, that game changer.
- 43:38Game Changer. So thank you very much.
- 43:41My good friend Jerry Lee, look how long it stays y life but now
- 43:49there's going to be an overflow of coaches in the warm-up area
- 43:51and nobody else would have the whole entire real to myself.
- 43:58I'm just kidding. I will, I'll jump in there next.
- 44:05Because this was without question that humongous game
- 44:08changer for me. I'm gonna piss a whole lot of
- 44:11coaches off who don't like to be honest with themselves and I
- 44:15don't care if you listen, this will make you better When you
- 44:20are charged with coaching a group of people and you take
- 44:24them to attract me if one or two of them do really well, that's
- 44:29awesome. If one or two of them do really
- 44:32poorly. That may or may or may not be
- 44:37them. But if half or more of your
- 44:40group do poorly that is not on the kids that is on you.
- 44:47And you need to own it. Maybe even own it, directly out
- 44:52loud to them. But get it, but go home, reflect
- 44:56get it right. And everybody will be better off
- 45:00the following week cycle, whatever it is.
- 45:04But I think as a young coach, I wasn't necessarily A blamer.
- 45:10But, you know, I kind of always felt like I was doing a really
- 45:17good job with everybody, you know, and two or three kids
- 45:22would really do well that week and six or seven kids, just not
- 45:26quite what it was supposed to happen.
- 45:27And, you know, they were a little flat or whatever it is.
- 45:31And I, my first inclination was to, Wonder what they were doing
- 45:38like whether they were drinking or partying, or doing this that
- 45:40and the third, and they may have been doing those things.
- 45:43But I had someone pull me aside and say, you know, if more than
- 45:48half of them don't perform up to the level that you expected,
- 45:52then that level of expectation was not put together properly by
- 45:57you. and, It changed my life. It absolutely changed my life as
- 46:07a coach. And if I could pass that
- 46:10information along, which I hope I just did to anybody else, they
- 46:14would definitely be that. Like if mistakes are made on
- 46:18them. Get better.
- 46:22I know the governor is going to have a better answer than me
- 46:32when I was told that we were going to do this question.
- 46:34I really wanted to come up with something that I thought would
- 46:38be like super profound and I found myself upset at the The
- 46:46thing that kept coming back to me because this is about, is
- 46:55that I can't care more than kids.
- 47:02And I used to have like a really, really, really big
- 47:07problem with that, right? Like as an athlete, I was pretty
- 47:11even-keeled. Like I never got too high or too
- 47:15low on any of my individual performances.
- 47:19I was able to focus and do what I need to do and perform when I
- 47:23needed to perform. But when I first started
- 47:26coaching, I would like to live and die emotionally with Mormons
- 47:31of kids and it was driving crazy.
- 47:37And at, you know, there isn't any one particular person that I
- 47:44can give true credit for that for this realization that at
- 47:48some point I realized that, you know, they're not me.
- 47:55I can't want them to be near expecting to be me.
- 47:58I can't care more about what they're doing on a daily basis
- 48:02and how it's giving them, then they do And I have to find
- 48:07different ways to reach them or make them care more, right?
- 48:10So that was mine. And it absolutely changed my
- 48:15perspective on a lot of things. And ultimately I think may be
- 48:19better at what I do and my execution of it.
- 48:23Yeah that's that's that's mine. I can't I can't care more than
- 48:29Yeah. I would say that for me, the
- 48:37When I tell my story to Young, athletes to Young coaches, young
- 48:43people that are trying or thinking about getting into the
- 48:46coaching game, I often go back to the six years that I sat and
- 48:53just watched. And while I was trying to make
- 48:58up my mind, whether or not, I wanted to be a coach and
- 49:02watching some of the very best in the world, do their job.
- 49:07And you know, I mean, when I started out at in Gainesville, I
- 49:15mean yeah, I mean, I'm sitting there as an athlete and watching
- 49:19these athletes through through a professionals mind and, you
- 49:25know, in some cases I'm like almost chuckling to myself you
- 49:29know because I can see them actually trying to execute and
- 49:33knowing that they're not getting it right?
- 49:36And Yeah, I mean, sometimes, I'm just laughing, I'm actually
- 49:40talking to them. And inside, I'm just going.
- 49:42Wow, this this is, this is kind of hilarious, but When I
- 49:50remember asking coach path, I remember asking Dan I said, hey,
- 49:54you know what, what is it? You know, what is it going to
- 49:57take to do this job? And he said, pick up a rake,
- 50:03pick up a shovel, pick up a hurdle, start from the bottom,
- 50:09start learning, start watching the grounds crewman when they
- 50:13come in and they take care of the track, start looking around
- 50:17at the People that are doing all the groundwork, to make sure a
- 50:22day of practice gets done smoothly, appreciate it.
- 50:28And then you could think about being a coach and I was like wow
- 50:33okay and again taking it with a grain of salt, you know, start
- 50:40start looking around and then next thing you know I'm like
- 50:44holy crap like there is a lot of Work before these athletes come
- 50:51out on the track for their session.
- 50:55There's a lot of stuff that has to happen.
- 50:58There are cones there hurdles, there's rakes shovels, you know,
- 51:04stuff has to be measured out, you know, by the time mouse came
- 51:07out to practice, okay? Like there was a bunch of stuff
- 51:13that had to be done and, and thankfully, I was able to see it
- 51:19for what it was, appreciate it, and then learn how to be a
- 51:23servant to my athletes, and completely flipped.
- 51:27Switch on being a taker and just trying to take all I can just
- 51:33for me to move into a situation where I am giving of myself to
- 51:40the point where it's, I mean, let's call it what it is.
- 51:42I mean, it's unhealthy, what we do the amount of energy that we
- 51:48spend in the amount of stuff and the amount of stuff that we soak
- 51:52in and the pain we see everyday. I mean yeah I mean that's not
- 51:57Not, you can't truly describe what it is that we do on a daily
- 52:02basis for young men and young woman.
- 52:06But yeah, that period of time between working in Gainesville
- 52:12and Tallahassee. I needed every bit of it to
- 52:15truly appreciate. You know, what this profession
- 52:18is. Big-league a yours are so many
- 52:28different pieces, like layers to it in regards to just, I know.
- 52:31Personally, my personal development or professional
- 52:34development because of the different levels.
- 52:37I've hit, you know, the milestones in regards to high
- 52:41school coaching and getting into Collegiate, and then going
- 52:44through the divisions, but the most resounding that's kind of
- 52:47just fingered overall of it is, I can't expect anybody to
- 52:52believe. I can't expect anybody to
- 52:54believe in me. If I don't believe in myself.
- 52:57And I can't - talk myself and I can't - so myself at any given
- 53:01point because bad just it doesn't do anything.
- 53:05I can't be the strongest person I can be, if I don't even
- 53:08believe it myself. So, you know, during the
- 53:12interviewing process during daily practices, during all of
- 53:17those moments where I have to be confident in my own thought, I
- 53:21have to be that. And so, you know, sometimes I
- 53:25don't think it myself, but There's a thin line between the
- 53:28arrogance and confidence and as long as we operate in that
- 53:31confidence versus the arrogance, we're going to be successful.
- 53:35So I had to learn that very quickly in order to get better
- 53:39and if there's a day there's a literal day that didn't happen
- 53:43and from that day on it and I looked back.
- 53:45So there's others and that's those are some level to
- 53:51conversation than convention conversations.
- 53:56But awesome. That was, that was something
- 53:58that I think everyone should hear a little tidbits and be
- 54:01able to reflect on their own professional development, and
- 54:05how to keep that going. So, back to the fun stuff.
- 54:11Lamar, would you rather clearly? Would you rather be camouflage?
- 54:26All right. You ready sir?
- 54:27Yes, ma'am. Would you rather have pumpkin
- 54:32cheesecake or pumpkin pie? Well, there is no question about
- 54:39this. We had a argument in this house
- 54:42yesterday about the merits and the shenanigans of pumpkin pie.
- 54:47So, yes, without question pumpkin cheesecake because
- 54:52pumpkin pies. Pretty much never going to be
- 54:56eaten by me, anyways. All right.
- 54:59Would you rather go skiing or ice skating?
- 55:03That's a good. Sting what I mean, I guess I'll
- 55:05say ice skating because I can ice skate and like, ice skate,
- 55:09but I think I would like to learn how to ski.
- 55:11I just never got a brother up on top of the mountain.
- 55:15So the facts rather relive relive a day in your past or
- 55:23root of tomorrow. Can I make changes in the day in
- 55:30the past? It's reliving.
- 55:40I'm not really a go backwards guy.
- 55:41So if I can't make any changes or adjustments, I'll go with our
- 55:47relief tomorrow. I hope it's I hope it's good.
- 55:52But you rather play cornhole or Spike fall?
- 55:56Oh, there's no question. I would rather play cornhole
- 56:00because there will be no torn ACLs.
- 56:04Listen, I've seen spike ball between for professional
- 56:09baseball players, and I was 100% sure that there was going to be
- 56:12at least three careers ended that day.
- 56:14So if spike balls amazing but yet, no, I'm going with corn
- 56:20hole. When you're coaching, would you
- 56:23rather a windy day or rainy day? Coaching don't think about
- 56:27athletes is the wind blowing up the runway in the pool wall.
- 56:33Don't think about the athletes. Literally just said that.
- 56:39Yeah, but I still have that. That's that's jeez.
- 56:48I guess a windy day but you rather have a fine point pen or
- 56:53medium point then five-point. Those are all my questions but I
- 57:00just kind of write with no damn small sponge.
- 57:05I love medium gray pants. That was question for you.
- 57:08Of course you do. I'ma go with a fine point pen.
- 57:12Thank you. Hmm.
- 57:21For the record Solutions. I think she's bled some of her.
- 57:26Shenanigan questions from you into my you know not even close
- 57:30to the body for a this week, not even closer.
- 57:36Yeah I do. I do appreciate her attempts to
- 57:40do better but the shading is of the questions towards me and
- 57:47been well documented on this, that's pretty true. so, I would
- 57:53like to know, As a coach. Would you rather quote a
- 58:04decathlete that has to run very fast in the 1500 to win?
- 58:09I'll make it a lower level and see a title What would you
- 58:14rather have to put have to win the four-by-four to win the NCAA
- 58:19team? Bella.
- 58:21So which one of those people would, I rather coach?
- 58:25Would you rather be have to put the guy in line of getting the
- 58:28win? The 1,500-meter run, while the
- 58:301500 PR to 1500 to win a NCAA title, or have to put four by
- 58:36four together at to me when the meat and when the osito and you
- 58:41want, those would both be awesome.
- 58:44Not gonna lie. I guess I sort of kind of had
- 58:51this one. I'll take the 1500 guy.
- 58:57Because there's a distant places.
- 58:59Mentally, you have to go into somebody else's head to get them
- 59:03to do that. But both will be awesome.
- 59:08Let's be clear. Got it?
- 59:20Let's see. In jail for 5 years.
- 59:31Anything else or being a homo? Anything else you say what you
- 59:36say? Well I rather be in jail for 5
- 59:38years or what to you're in a coma for 10 years.
- 59:41A death of take the cola. Not even fucking close, we're
- 59:43getting close. He still safe in the coma.
- 59:48Listen if you have never been in a jail I've never been to jail
- 59:56as a you know, active participant but I have
- 1:00:00definitely been in a jail more than once.
- 1:00:03There is nothing about that place that makes you say.
- 1:00:10Yeah, I can hang out here for 5 years.
- 1:00:14Nothing. All right.
- 1:00:17Sir, would you rather watch TCU blow this opportunity?
- 1:00:23It's football. Or would you rather watch Tom
- 1:00:27Brady. Get number 8.
- 1:00:31That's really your question. That's my question.
- 1:00:36I know you don't want to see either one.
- 1:00:52I really like, listen tcu's, not even my football, team Clemson
- 1:00:58is and they lost. But I don't want to see TCU lose
- 1:01:04just because so many people around the country are rooting
- 1:01:06for it to happen. So I look, I can't listen, I
- 1:01:11don't hate Tom Brady, my son, who's a Jets fan hate stuff,
- 1:01:15right? He hates him so I could look, I
- 1:01:20could see. Tom, Brady with number eight.
- 1:01:22I don't see a scenario where it happens, but I could see it
- 1:01:25wouldn't like that. I would definitely choose that.
- 1:01:30Guardian. I was a fun round of what you'd
- 1:01:33rather. Yes.
- 1:01:36All right. So, closing it out.
- 1:01:38I will bring back some Harpy props to recognize some people
- 1:01:41and give them a quick little shout out here, surviving and
- 1:01:45doing things nicely, right? Way.
- 1:01:48Everyone put it. Shout out.
- 1:01:53Sorry, I'll go first. Shout out to the most recent
- 1:01:56level 2 jumps class. You just closed out their little
- 1:02:00six week session last week, we explored a new platform, a new
- 1:02:05medium. Yeah.
- 1:02:06So you didn't even know we were able to six weeks, level two,
- 1:02:11and six weeks. So we met every Sunday for four
- 1:02:13hours for six weeks. And it was a new, not platform,
- 1:02:19but vehicle has to See how it work out.
- 1:02:22Those are this was our pilot and some like, some didn't, some
- 1:02:28thought it was plentiful and some thought it was missing
- 1:02:31things, but kudos to you all for sticking to it and making it
- 1:02:38work for you. Heartbeat props to the
- 1:02:49University of Virginia. I mean, I don't think much more
- 1:02:57needs to be said, sad senseless. And just hope that they can heal
- 1:03:07from this and Yeah, that's all I have to say.
- 1:03:15Yeah. Yeah, I want you to go last
- 1:04:01You know. People don't I wish I could
- 1:04:05forget certain things people. Don't pay close attention to
- 1:04:09certain things like the state of Virginia has, has had some very,
- 1:04:13very tough tough incidents happen on college campuses, you
- 1:04:20know, like when the thing happened in Blacksburg, you
- 1:04:24know, the introduced us all to, you know, active shooter on
- 1:04:28campus, right? I had a kid on my campus As for
- 1:04:33an official visit who was from Blacksburg Virginia, whose
- 1:04:39brother was at school, right? He ended up, we had to get a
- 1:04:44special dispensation from the NCAA because he had to stay on
- 1:04:47our campus for three extra days because they wouldn't let him
- 1:04:51fly home. Hmm.
- 1:04:55And so, you know, like the people of Virginia are
- 1:04:58incredibly resilient and I know that they will Will
- 1:05:03unfortunately, get through this, but this kind of stuff is just
- 1:05:07so, so, senseless and sad. And it just it just speaks to
- 1:05:15just like I get like, people feel like they have this
- 1:05:19Birthright to like, you know, like gun laws and it's our right
- 1:05:23to carry guns and it's our right to be able to get guns whenever
- 1:05:27we want. But the simple fact of the
- 1:05:29matter is like if the guns aren't available like this stuff
- 1:05:32is just harder to do. Yeah.
- 1:05:33It's just harder to do. Yep.
- 1:05:36It's really difficult to kill three people without a gun.
- 1:05:39Yep. So, you know, I mean, obviously
- 1:05:44might my heart goes out to all of the people in Wahoo nation
- 1:05:52and and you know, the fact that they had to have they canceled
- 1:05:55their last home game and you know, there's just, there's just
- 1:05:59nothing but pain for them right now and, and no way to heal it
- 1:06:02anytime soon. Yeah.
- 1:06:07Well said, bye-bye, all and I definitely agree with that.
- 1:06:12I knew somebody would, if not all of us with address that for
- 1:06:17the whole issue of the week, as you all know, I'm a big
- 1:06:24political junkie. Oh, man.
- 1:06:27That's an understatement. And honestly, there hasn't been
- 1:06:31a lot in American politics to feel very great about recently,
- 1:06:35but Man I'm sitting here very happy after the midterm
- 1:06:42election. Hmm because Coast-to-Coast up
- 1:06:46and down east west and in the middle the election deniers got
- 1:06:52destroyed. Yep.
- 1:06:54And if nothing else that means the Americas slightly better
- 1:07:01than I was given credit for and that's that's actually very very
- 1:07:06inspiring to see if, you know, It gets it proves that people
- 1:07:12still care about the idea of democracy, and anytime sanity
- 1:07:20rears its head, and balances some things back out to me.
- 1:07:25That's a moment to cheer leave and smile and be happy about and
- 1:07:29understand, you know, for me I'm very much with what I consider,
- 1:07:33you know, an independent voter. I literally voted for both sides
- 1:07:37of tickets in this election. Both Odds of issues in this
- 1:07:41election, in my little part of the world.
- 1:07:44And it took, you know, left meaning, right wing and since
- 1:07:48you're slinging people to be able to pull this off and keep
- 1:07:52all of those people away from you.
- 1:07:55No sense of power. Still got a long way to go,
- 1:07:59still got a lot of shenanigans to to extinguish out of our
- 1:08:04political discourse but the midterm elections could have
- 1:08:09been a monstrous disaster actually turned out to be pretty
- 1:08:13damn positive for the country. So I'm happy about that,
- 1:08:19definitely Harvey profile to Virginia.
- 1:08:23And if you live in Georgia, know, if you live in Georgia.
- 1:08:27Hey, please remember, sixth like please.
- 1:08:33We don't need this. I don't know if anybody else
- 1:08:36listen to Steve Harvey, but I'll say this, like, Steve Harvey's
- 1:08:40take on the audacity of them. The Republican party too.
- 1:08:51Try to win us over with the brown face of Herschel Walker.
- 1:08:57His take on that. Oh, yeah, absolutely brilliant.
- 1:09:03It was visceral. It cut to the Bone, but it was
- 1:09:07honest and it was just, and it just literally called it what it
- 1:09:11is, right? Because it give me that the end
- 1:09:13of the day. Like look there, there were
- 1:09:16better white candidates. Brown candidates Heather's,
- 1:09:19probably a better purpose. Well candidate than Herschel
- 1:09:22Walker. It's very, very Sinister plot
- 1:09:27that they are putting before us in Georgia.
- 1:09:30And I meet lenita to, It's Gone on way longer than it should
- 1:09:34have gone on. I'm gonna need to go y'all.
- 1:09:36Go ahead and handle that. But you know what?
- 1:09:38Sir I'm sorry I got a slide one more in there on our way out
- 1:09:41since you brought up a very famous comedian with a great
- 1:09:44take on things. If you have not taken the time
- 1:09:47to watch the full clip of Dave Chappelle hosting, SNL this This
- 1:09:50weekend, do yourself a favor. Listen greatness should be
- 1:09:55celebrated in any form. And that man is in a bag right
- 1:10:01now that you just can't believe by when I say perfect routine,
- 1:10:07perfect. There was a mic drop at the end
- 1:10:09and it was perfect. Yes.
- 1:10:12So appreciate Dave, Chappelle, while he is at his we have them.
- 1:10:17Yes. Alrighty, well, you got a funny
- 1:10:22episode concluded, wrap it up, put a bow on it and you'll see
