- 2:23That's good evening, good evening. Welcome to The Crew podcast Podcast one,
- 3:15Episode one, seventy five. Amen, what a difference year makes. Amen.
- 3:23This is my last show for the year with the hottest production team in
- 3:29the world HTA Productions. Amen. And if you're looking amen to have your
- 3:36voice heard. Amen, get with Queen Angela. Amen to be see how
- 3:42you can be a part of this amazing team. And we're gonna end the
- 3:49year or the same way that I started the year with my friend, my
- 3:54sister Apostle Erika t. Moore. But in a year, Amen, what
- 4:01a difference a year makes. Amen. So we're gonna start to show off
- 4:09with like we do every single week, with prayer. Amen. Because in
- 4:15everything you do, Amen, you should give God thanks. Hallelujah, hallelujah,
- 4:23Dear heavenly Father, hallelujah. And the precious Max, the son of
- 4:30your name, just Son Jesus, hallelujah. We come boldly before your throne
- 4:36tonight, asking you God, that you open up our wisdom and understanding.
- 4:43God, that you have controlled a man of the Internet on tonight. God
- 4:48and the name of Jesus. We're standing on your promises tonight because you've said,
- 4:55many are the afflictions of the righteous, but you shall deliver them out
- 4:59of them. Or you said you'll need to never leave us or forsake us.
- 5:02You'll be with us until the end of time. And God was standing
- 5:06on your promises. On tonight, we thank you for the visionary of this
- 5:15ministry. God, because it is a ministry. Everything we do brings you
- 5:18glory. God, So we thank you for the visionary of this ministry.
- 5:24Continue to stir up a gifts in the name of Jesus. Let us work
- 5:30in unity, God, because we're building up your kingdom. God. There's
- 5:35not separate kingdom, but there's one kingdom in your name. We thank you,
- 5:41we praise you, We give you all the glory in Jesus' name.
- 5:46I pray, and now I present to some, and I introduce to some
- 5:54my best friend of over twenty something years. She's a she's an author,
- 6:01she's a motivational speaker, she's a serial entrepreneur. And recently, over the
- 6:10last six months, Amen, she lost a man, her beloved husband,
- 6:15a man. And so we're on it tonight, Amen, to talk about
- 6:20grief, Amen, and some things that people say that they shouldn't say,
- 6:27Amen, that there's no expliration date on grief. Nobody can tell you how
- 6:33long or how you should grieve. Amen. Grieving is a unique process and
- 6:42it's only your process. If you've never gone through it, you cannot judge
- 6:48how they would are doing it or how you would do it. If you
- 6:53don't know, Amen, Sometimes it's best to keep quiet. So without any
- 6:59friend, whether I do, I introduced my wonderful, wonderful friend, Apostle
- 7:04Erica T. Moore. How are you, hey, Hey, family,
- 7:10I am bettered and amazing and hoping the same for you. How are you
- 7:13tonight? I am truly excited, not excited about what we are talking about
- 7:21on tonight, but excited to be ending my show, my year with you.
- 7:29I started with you, and now that I'm ending with you. Amen,
- 7:34I wish a man that we were speaking about another topic on tonight.
- 7:42But tell us a little bit about you and what do you spend your days
- 7:49doing? How I spend my days now or normally and now so you said
- 8:00it in your introduction, author of life pastor Apostle, publisher all those good
- 8:09things through an entrepreneurs But the newest title, the newest label I wear now
- 8:13is a widow. And that's something that was unexpected. So if you would
- 8:20have asked me these questions, this question. Like six months ago, I
- 8:24spent my day work in grinding, you know, building minds and my husband's
- 8:30empire. Now I spend each day in prayer. I spend each day.
- 8:35I spend most of the time in my day on my face in my prayer
- 8:39closet, because that is my strength. The last couple of days I spent
- 8:45it in my bed. Can barely get about my bed, you know.
- 8:50But for the most part, Monday to Fridays, I'm in my word.
- 8:56I'm preparing for my morning vitamin daily DOSO inspiration of Vitamin D which is just
- 9:07spreading the gospel the way God would want me to have it. So that's
- 9:11how I've been spending my days between crying all day this all this like,
- 9:16between crying all day, praying, trying to busy myself, spending time with
- 9:24my dog was now become my new best friend. That's how I've been spending
- 9:28my days these last six months in the presence of God. What does it
- 9:35mean to find joy among your mourning? And what does joy look like now?
- 9:48Oh my God, what does joy look like now? You and I
- 9:52we was up talking to something this morning. I've changed. I am not
- 9:56the woman that I was six months ago. I've changed for the better,
- 10:05something's even for the worse. The Bible says counted joy when you when you
- 10:11fall into divers temptation. I find joy now in the memories of my husband.
- 10:18My husband and I were very vigilant. We were transparent, and we
- 10:22was tangible, so you can reach us, touch us. We was always
- 10:26busy and doing something productive and constructive. So I'm finding joy and seeking God.
- 10:33I'm finding joy and holding on to the last words he spoke to me.
- 10:37I'm finding joy like today's Wednesdays, i am picking up food. I
- 10:43am feeding twenty five families in the community. I'm finding joy, which is
- 10:50it comes very seldom. But I'm finding joy in just the idea that I'm
- 10:58still moving, that I'm I'm not in that spot where I was six months
- 11:03ago when I got the new song. I'm finding joy looks. Joy looks
- 11:07different every day, every second, every minute. It's not the same.
- 11:13I just woke up and I'm excited about that. A man, Amen,
- 11:18what what now do you know that you wish you had known when Apostle Adolf
- 11:31first passed away? What have you learned in these last six months that you
- 11:37wish you knew on the first day that he passed away. I wish I
- 11:43would have known that I was going to be alone. I wish I would
- 11:50have known that all the people that said they loved him, that surrounding their
- 11:54sounds with him, that busied him. I wish I would have known then
- 11:58that they would not be here today, because I wouldn't have wasted time looking
- 12:03and hoping and praying that they'll come just to say anything, boo high hello.
- 12:13I wish I would have known that I'm trying to words just right because
- 12:20I gotta be careful. I wish I would have known that that it would
- 12:31be that it would be a long road, and man a man, and
- 12:39it is a long journey. That non't matter if it's one year or it's
- 12:48ten years. You're always gonna have the memories, and you never know how
- 12:54the memories are gonna affect you. One minute you might be laughing and the
- 13:01next minute you're gonna be crying. The devil tries to tell yo, you
- 13:05Bipola, you're you're crazy, You're not gonna make it. But we know
- 13:09that the devil is a liar and that God has a lot more in store
- 13:16for you. We just gotta keep moving. What surprised you most about your
- 13:28journey. What surprised me is God's strengthen ability to strengthen me to endure this
- 13:41and to keep going no matter what came all way. I took a looking,
- 13:46but I still kept going, ticking like the energizer bunny. What surprised
- 13:50me is that whoo that should have sent me into the mental institution. Everything
- 13:56that I've endured from January sixth and from the moment they said ma'am, I'm
- 14:01sorry for your loss. You know, I be talking about it. I
- 14:09was talking about it today with somebody. I can't believe these six months already,
- 14:13Saturday, December sixteen, Mate, six months, and I was like,
- 14:16I can't believe that I'm still standing. People have always said amen,
- 14:33Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen. We're gonna take a commercial break and
- 14:45we'll be right back. The book A Song for Zukora, written by David
- 14:54Harris, is a powerful historical fiction centering around the life, life, and
- 15:00character of Moses's future wife Supporah before they met. Book author David Harris brings
- 15:05the reader into the relationship between Moses and Zapporah, which was gradual and lush.
- 15:11The story unfolds beautifully when Moses finally acts Suppora to marry him. Purchase
- 15:16your copy of the book detailing this authentic story, A Song for Zuppora by
- 15:20David Harris Today. It's available online at Barnes Andnoble and Amazon dot com.
- 15:28And man, Amen, welcome back. Are you able to continue apostle?
- 15:33Yes? Yes, yes, yes, I'm just I'm just elated that I'm
- 15:39still standing. Amen. Amen. Sometimes Amen, people will put a S
- 15:48on our chest that stands for Superwoman, and inside we are secretly hurting.
- 15:56But I'll tell you all the time that grief has no expiration date. And
- 16:03unless you go through all the stages of grief, you will become stagnated in
- 16:11one spot. And that's what makes people lose their mind that what, in
- 16:18what ways has this been harder than you thought? I know that you never
- 16:23we never even imagine that six months ago we would six months now be having
- 16:33this discussion that he's been going for six months. And it's hard to see
- 16:42someone you truly love go through a pain that you can't help them with.
- 16:49You can't just put a band aid on this pain. You can't just slap
- 16:53some oil on it and it goes away. But what did you imagine that
- 17:04in your mind? Have you ever thought about if something had happened to him,
- 17:11how you would go on? And has it been harder than you imagine?
- 17:17It's definitely been harder than I imagine, because I've always imagined me going
- 17:19first. Adolf and I will have the conversation. I would say that Ada,
- 17:26I need to die first, because God forbid, if you die first,
- 17:30I will be here alone. He didn't believe that I will be here
- 17:33alone. Well, and I'm not talking about my circle. I'm talking about
- 17:41his camp. So think about it. Remember June sixth, you know I
- 17:47was saying goodbye. I was having my last podcast. He was my co
- 17:51host, right right, and not even what June sixth? What is that?
- 17:56Ten days later he's gone? So I can't believe that I'm here.
- 18:03Even the day that we was burying him, I didn't want to go,
- 18:08but it hit me. I'm a I was like, oh, shoot,
- 18:11we're the we're the sense of attention. Listen, you gotta show up.
- 18:15This is your husband. I didn't. I was the apostle was fine,
- 18:23but Erica done checked out. I understood the moment they announced him that and
- 18:30they said, well, I'm sorry for your loss. The only thing that
- 18:33came out my mouth is versus guy here, I am, I will serve
- 18:34you, I will serve you. I'm right here. So I knew enough
- 18:40to know that the woman, the wife, could not show up, but
- 18:45the apostle needed to walk in integrity because those were some of the last words
- 18:48that my husband spoke to me, not even knowing that that was our goodbye
- 18:55because I told him that he died. Amen. Amen, Like I said,
- 19:04it's a hard piller swallow, so I imagine we're going through it alongside
- 19:15of you that it's hard for you to imagine that you're still standing. That's
- 19:23how I felt when my son passed away. I was like, I'm not
- 19:26going to the funeral because if I don't go, there won't be a funeral,
- 19:30because how can you have a funeral without his mother? And then I
- 19:34noticed everybody was getting dressed and they were whispering around like, Okay, if
- 19:40she doesn't come, you know, just sit here with her. But you
- 19:44know, basically the show must go on. Amen. Like we it's hard,
- 19:49but God gives us the strength. Like I was talking to someone and
- 19:56I said, I don't know how anybody goes goes through death without God,
- 20:03because barely with God you can make it. You feel like you know you
- 20:11want to go too. You just don't know what you're gonna do. But
- 20:18tell us of some happier time. What do you remember most about Apostle and
- 20:25man when I remember it said he was a motivator and a pusher, and
- 20:30he motivated you in a way, not that you felt like he was that
- 20:37he was pushing you, but you knew he was motivating you. He wanted
- 20:41the best for you. And I find myself or the lessons that he taught
- 20:47me over the year that we got close, I find myself pulling on those
- 20:55lessons now, like you have to be strong one of you. You understand
- 21:02that your sister is going through and if you love her, you'll do everything
- 21:06and your power that you're able to do to alleviate some of the pain,
- 21:11some of the pressure to hold her hands up when she feels like she can't
- 21:15go on. But one of some of the happier memories that you have of
- 21:21Apostle. It's funny that you say that because tomorrow would have been our tenth
- 21:26year anniversary. So one of the things that I've been holding on today was
- 21:33first of all, I was dressed in all his clothing on today, his
- 21:36chain, his shirt, his sweatpants. I was in an atoor for most
- 21:40state of mind. But I'm recalling coming down here and me and Charity were
- 21:45sick with the stomach virus, and we were sick. We were a mess,
- 21:49we were tore up. We looked at like we didn't belong to nobody.
- 21:55And I called him the day before and I said, I'm not going
- 21:59to be able to We're gonna have to be scheduled our wedding. Were sick,
- 22:02and he told me, do whatever you have to do, but make
- 22:06sure y'all are on that plane. Get on that plane. So when we
- 22:10got here, it's so funny because he looked at us and shook his head
- 22:14like, oh my god, but we were sick. He went back,
- 22:18he nursed us back to hell. We arrived on a Thursday. That Friday
- 22:21morning, as we're going and I changed my profile picture to that picture of
- 22:26his face because we're sick. I can't really do my head out. My
- 22:30wig is have longside and whatever. I'm like, hey, we got the
- 22:33stomach virus, but we're getting married that Saturday. So we was to say,
- 22:38we're inside the place the registered in d and my husband was popping junk
- 22:44and I clapped back. I started, you know me, my mouth was
- 22:48slick. I started popping jump not knowing that the ladies were all paying attention,
- 22:52and everybody started cracking up, even my husband. And it was then
- 22:56that Charity captured that moment of Adolf smiling because I just told them off and
- 23:03the love of way, I clapped back my mouth to slick. So that's
- 23:06one of the memories that are giving me through because a lot of people are
- 23:08speaking things like I know you're gonna be depressed, depressed the blood of Jesus,
- 23:14I'm grieving. I'm not depressed. I'm hurt, you know, or
- 23:18I know it's gonna be hard for you, And I'm like, God,
- 23:19no, no, no, no. I I had to stow away.
- 23:22I had to get to myself. So one of the lessons that I hold
- 23:26them to for my husband, no matter what comes your way, you live.
- 23:29And we would have these conversations ad of what would I am to do
- 23:32if you was to leave Either you are to live your life, live your
- 23:37life. So I'm here trying to make sense of my life while living my
- 23:42life. So there's so many valuable lessons like the entrepreneurship. My house is
- 23:48full of conversation business ideas him closing bills and talking with multi millionaires and billionaires.
- 23:56That's the type of husband. That's the type of man I was married
- 24:00to. And now my house is quiet. I understand, amen, Amen.
- 24:08And your daily dose of vitamin D is such an inspiration to women who
- 24:21are going through the same thing that you're going through. Amen. And they
- 24:27see a man that as you're counting down the days, you're relying on the
- 24:34strength of God because we know that we can cast all his kids, our
- 24:41kids on him because he cares for us. Amen. But how can someone
- 24:47get in touch with you that's going through that's a newly binds usself, a
- 24:56new widow, a new you know, a this is a different life,
- 25:00a new chapter and a life. Well. They can find me on Facebook
- 25:06Erica Tmore just take it on my table, this dog is acting up.
- 25:11They can find me social media, Instagram author Erica T. Fourteen. You
- 25:18can contact me six three one nine zero two sixty six zero six, or
- 25:23you can DM me. That's where you can find me. Amen. Amen.
- 25:29And with all that you're going through in this point in life. Amen,
- 25:37I celebrate you on tonight. I celebrate you for keeping the legacy of
- 25:45apostible live. I celebrate you because this is not an easy journey to travel
- 25:52on. It has unexpected twists and turns, and and the people that you
- 26:02thought was in your corner you find out that they're not in your corner.
- 26:07But God supplies amen, everything that we need. So He's gonna replace those
- 26:14people with the new people, the people that know the new you. See,
- 26:18the people who knew the old U had to go with the old you
- 26:25because now you're entering a new chapter in your life and you're gonna be You're
- 26:30gonna be new. Amen. And as I always tell this parable about the
- 26:38eagle, the first half of the eagle's life he goes about flying and doing
- 26:45his business. And then when it gets halfway through his life, he goes
- 26:48in a remote place by himself, and he pulls all the feathers off of
- 26:56his face. And we know that's a pain for process to pluck your face
- 27:03your feathers one by one. But he lives to be one hundred and twenty
- 27:08years old, So this happens when he's sixty. He gets he goes,
- 27:14he gets renewed, refreshed for the second half of his life. So God
- 27:21has you in a place that he's plucking all the feathers off of you,
- 27:26and it doesn't feel good. Hey, money as you in a place by
- 27:30yourself so you can hear his voice. Sometimes we hear so many voices that
- 27:37God is calling us out of our waiting position, but we can't hear him
- 27:44because there's so many voices talking in our ear. But I celebrate you for
- 27:51taking his journey one day at a time, being transparent, because sometimes when
- 27:59you're grieving, people want to say you're depressed. People want to say you
- 28:03don't believe in God. But no matter what position, what title that we
- 28:07have, underneath all of that, we are human first and just like Jesus
- 28:14took on humanly blessed so he can experience everything that we experience. Even after
- 28:22his friend Lazarith died and he knew he was going to raise Lazarith back,
- 28:27but he cried. He cried for his friend. So God understands when we
- 28:33are grieving. We might understand even when people say, oh, they're in
- 28:37a better place. We know they're in a better place, but we don't
- 28:41want to hear that right now, because when it's tender and it's fresh in
- 28:45my mind, I'm thinking when my son passed away and people was like,
- 28:49he's in a better place, and I'm thinking, like, Okay, you
- 28:52got five kids, won't you send one of yours to the better place and
- 28:56send mind God right because you know that they're in a better place. You
- 29:04understand that, but you don't want to hear it because right now, at
- 29:11this moment, the better place is with you celebrating your ten year anniversary.
- 29:18So we celebrate you. Thank you for being willing to come on tonight at
- 29:25such a tender part of your healing to share with us what it's like having
- 29:34your circle broken, having that chain, that that that bracelet will never be
- 29:41a complete bracelet because one of the leaks is missing. So we celebrate you.
- 29:48We thank you for coming on tonight and taking time out of your grieving
- 29:55process to share with us, to be open with us. And I thank
- 30:00you for being on my last show of twenty twenty three looking forward to twenty
- 30:07twenty four. But I started twenty twenty three with you on the show,
- 30:14and now I'm a year later, I'm ending the show with you and I
- 30:21wouldn't want it no other way because you possess such a special place in my
- 30:27heart. So I'm glad that I was able to share this time with you.
- 30:34And even though the subject was tough, was tough, you handled it
- 30:40with grace. So I thank you, I thank you. I thank everybody
- 30:45that's watching, those that are gonna watch on the replay. Remember we'll be
- 30:49back in February. So like sharing comments, shared this live with your friends
- 30:57that might be in a space this same situation. You may not have lost
- 31:03a husband, but you might have lost a childlike I dig. You might
- 31:07have lost the wife, you might have lost a friend. And during these
- 31:11holidays seasons is when we have to remember those that are going through. So
- 31:17good night, good night, and God bless We're going to have a word
- 31:19of prayer a man before we close. Dear Heavenly Father and the precious name
- 31:27of your son, Jesus, we thank you for this year. God.
- 31:33We thank you for the lessons learned. God. We thank you God for
- 31:37how you have strengthened your daughter through this process. God, continue to strengthen
- 31:41her. God, continue to gird her up for the journey. Continue to
- 31:47give her the discerning spirit, a man that she needs in this season.
- 31:51God, Oh, we thank you, We give you glory, we give
- 31:55you praise because you're an awesome God, and we're so grateful, grateful,
- 32:00grateful for the things you're doing in this season. And we're looking forward to
- 32:06the next chapter of our lives. Good Night, good night, good night.
- 32:10See you in twenty twenty four. God, bless of a happy new
- 32:15year, a blessed holiday, and I'll see you next year. Ma,
- 32:21Happy birthday, Love you, love you. Tell
